Went for wedding reception held at Hotel Kanchi. Small hall can accomodate 75 to 100 persons. Very famous and old brand. Location is super. Found services were good. Very suitable for small functions especially for family gatherings.

Friendly room service, Excellent Hospitality, 24 hours lift support, large area parking we can park too many bus too, 8 floor balcony view is fantastic. We can order food from outside too, large dining hall available. Family can stay they are take care us very safety. Meeting hall is available for functions. Number of rooms can book in single place. Value for money for stay.
The hotel is very old, and people also old school. Do not use yathra.com or any other online booking apps. These people never accept the online services. I lost my money on yathra.com. The hotel room is nice and old passionate.
It's easily one of the nicest place to stay in chennai. The food is good,the rooms are clean and tidy.Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The view from the balcony is pleasant.If i have to talk something negative then i would complaint about the elevators Being very old.The place takes you back to scenes of luxury hotels in 80's movies.
It is a great hotel with friendly staff. The hotel has to be renovated only for a few better basic facilities. Many great persons are the usual visitors. Once LIC building and Hotel kanchi building we're very tall. Even now, it is one of the tallest buildings in Chennai. Whenever we demand anything, the hotel staff respond positively and quickly. One can stay comfortably in the hotel. The tariff is reasonable.
The 90's era hotel. When you enter the hotel it feels like you've travelled back in time. Rooms are all neat and hood, but pretty much the old way. Nice view from top floors.
Once upon a time the hotel was busiest with cini actress and affluent people. The rotating restaurant at the 9th floor is wonder on those days. Opened by MGR the hotel still survive by its obedient, service motivated staffs. Despite of all these positives the rooms are bad smelled old and rotten cot and bed are the biggest problem for visitors. Furthermore lack of restaurant is a big demerit.
Have been to another hotel kanchi in town and have been appreciative of their cosy and warm feeling that they bring to any property. This place is no different. It's relative proximity to the airport means that its somewhat easy to access, but a bit away from all the hustle and bustle. The bar has a also a billiards table, which keeps the place alive at all times. The food and service is fairly decent. I also learnt that they have a policy of hiring physically challenged people and I personally interacted with one such waiter, without any issues. Just to encourage such humanitarian policies, I plan to frequent this place. Haven't used the rooms yet.....
