Finally the madurai's favourite amsavalli bhavan briyani was launched in the capital of tamil nadu. I have never expected a amsavalli franchise in chennai.. it was a pleasant surprise for me who born in madurai and currently living in chennai. Thanks for making me feel like i was in my home land. Taste wise it's good other than omlette which was too salty, could have improved menu better by adding a starter.
If you are a parotta lover who would love to have it early morning could visit for sure, it worth for you.

New place in Anna Nagar for good biriyani.l and chicken. Biriyani was spicy and yum. Madura chicken was too good. We also tried the boneless chicken. The quality of the chicken was the hero (more than the spices and marination). Such tender succulent chicken. Can’t wait to go back again!!

Nice place, Biryani is very nice. But over priced, taste is good. Need to concentrate on service.
Starting with the ambience, I wish the place was more pleasing than to look like a converted apartment.
If you're into Madurai foods or a heavy eater, you'll definitely be pleased with the food offered. Pricing is on the reasonable side and I find no "bad" tasting dishes.

The hotel boasts of Madurai Cuisine, but it has food items from all over Tamil Nadu. Reasonably priced. Ambience was pretty decent. The waiters were pretty attentive to our needs. Waiting time was less.

Good place for South Indian cuisine and biriyani. Seating available on upper floor also in case lower floor is full. We, in a small group of 4, were the only customers on the upper floor while the lower floor tables were all occupied but the waiters ensured we got proper attention
I normally give review after two visits. First time I had biriyani and jigarthanda and second time it was egg kothu, Kari dosai and pallipalayam chicken..chicken, jigarthanda and kothu parotta were excellent.biriyani was poor...Kari dosai was average...the main thing was their gravy which ruins the
