Review The French Door Cafe & Restaurant - Coimbatore

AfasJa Jajy
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Frech Door Restaurant and I was truly impressed. From the moment I stepped through the French door, the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lively and the decor was Classic and rustic, which I really enjoyed. I love the way artistically transformed an old House into a Classic restaurant. The menu was varied and the portions were ok. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor was out of this world. The side dishes were also delicious, the prices ... of course, we have to pay a little more than in normal restaurants to enjoy the food and the ambiance. I would highly recommend The French Door restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and a wonderful atmosphere. I look forward to dining there again whenever I get a chance to visit Coimbatore!

Recently I visited the cafe with my family. The food was sooo delicious and the ambience was very good. Very subtle and quiet environment. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good too. We ordered Chicken cheesy pie for starters, Beef steak and Chicken au gratin for mains and for the dessert we ordered sticky toffee pudding. The dessert was one of my favourites. You should definitely try it. The price was a bit high though.

Really good service and food.... The waiter was such a gentleman and his recommendations were really. The sticky toffee pudding in the end really tied everything together. Surprisingly they also had mangalorean food so ordered the good ol mangalorean bun and it was really good 😋

The Hot Chocolate was top notch! (It will be sour and bitter, which is the authentic flavour) Their Pizza was just okay!. The ambience and setting is too good!

I had an amazing fine dining experience with beautiful interior and heavenly food in Coimbatore. It was truly impressive to discover such a culinary gem in this city. The highlight of the meal was the beef bourguignon, a signature dish reminiscent of Julia Child's culinary legacy. The tender beef, cooked to perfection in a rich red wine sauce, was accompanied by a side of warm, freshly baked bread. The flavors harmonized perfectly, creating a memorable dining experience that was both indulgent and satisfying. The restaurant's exquisite design added to the overall ambiance, making this culinary adventure in Coimbatore truly unforgettable.

The french door. Lovely place. Food is good. Not only the french cuisine but they have some amazing mangalorean dishes too. They take their time but it is worth the wait. Ambience and decor are nice and soothing. Good place to have long conversations over good food.

Very attentive and friendly staff. Nice place though it was mostly empty when I was there. But food was a letdown both times I went. It is a restaurant that positions itself to be a high end bistro/cafe. But the place makes too many compromises, supposedly for local palate. Last year, the pesto pasta had 3X the sauce it needed, and in trying to have such volume of sauce, the pesto had been diluted by cream to the extent that there was barely any taste of pesto. This time I ordered chicken and porcini pasta, and there not even a hint of porcini flavour. Chef said that feedback about strong taste of porcini from patrons had to be accommodated - they may as well use button mushrooms then!

This place is great to feel transformed into Italian atmosphere with great music and food. Menu could be a little lost extensive. Many times items listed in menu aren’t available. But good is fresh and tasty. It has a cute decor and vibe. Service is good and prompt. There is parking space available in front of the restaurant. Overall good experience.

You will definitely love the ambience . Major drawback was lack of waiter . I asked for chilli flakes for my pizza but I never received it . Food taste was really good but definitely overpriced .

Great lunch experience at french door. A bit over priced but definitely a must try. The ambience is cosy and warm. Must try the dessert options.

Loved their service and ambience! Had the hot Perri Perri chicken pizza and Assam team.In compare with other cafes it is quite expensive but you just love their service and ambience for sure:) Go for it once

The ambiance was subtle and the food was really with it's french touch so, couldn't complain about the pricing :p

We went to Coimbatore for MahaShivratri event at Isha Foundation. Had stayed in the main city overnight and thought of exploring this place. Italian cuisine served on the French Door named restaurant. Place was good but you need to find it as its based in a residential colony. A proper home built into a restaurant which gives an European feel. Good was okay, portion was small and prices were on the higher side. Overall 4/5 stars

A beautiful, quaint cafe located in a well maintained area. The interior and exterior are tastefully decorated. The music was very soothing and the seating is very well organized so that people get enough privacy and doesn't feel crowded. We had gone for dinner and tried a couple of things out of which the russian honey cake and chicken pie were outstanding. The menu is versatile and has a lot of options which is not easily found in coimbatore. The pumkin soup was a little watery and lacked flavour and that is something that shoukd be worked on. It is a little pricey but it is worth the experience. The staff are also very courteous and friendly. It is the right place for people looking to unwind after a hectic day.

A very good place in coimbatore to hang out with friends. The staffs were very customer friendly and they even encourage you to try new dishes. The ambiance was designed just like a French restaurant with mild aesthetic colors and theme. The dishes were yummy and fulfilling. A must visit place.

Ordered chicken Au gratin and it was awesome. Ambience was good. Quantity of food is low for the price

Loved the ambience! Food taste was awesome. Will sure recommend for my friends. We liked every single dish we tried there. The person who served the food was so kind. The quality of the steak was great and cooked well. Never tasted a yummy steak like this before. Hands off to the chef who cooked our perfect dish.

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐<br/>Decor: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐<br/>Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐<br/><br/>The French Door is perhaps the most aesthetic cafe in the city of Coimbatore. The cafe could easily transport you to France with its antique decor and a hint of modern aesthetics. <br/><br/>We ordered the Guava Glazed Pork Chops, Fish Steak and Hollandaise, and the Hazelnut Dome. The food was really tasty, and the cream of the crop was the dessert. It was the best that we ever had. <br/><br/>The staff was really courteous, and the service was pretty quick.

Too expensive and not worth the money if they are charging this much at least they should Provide tasty food but it was not plus most annoying thing is other than gst and tax they charge extra for Service Charge that too 400 🙄 ,very much disappointed will never visit this Restaurant and highly not recommended .
Kit
One of the best in Coimbatore. Shepard’s pie is world class.

Considering how highly this restaurant is rated, we went in expecting really tasty food. To our disappointment, the food was below average.<br/>We tried the Chicken and jalapeno mille feuille which did nothing to my palate. Bland is also a taste, and I didn't even get that. 1/5<br/>Next was the Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was average at best.<br/>3/5<br/>The pasta alfredo was okay. They charged ₹100 extra for chicken, which was barely there. 3/5<br/>Choco chip pancakes were bad. I wouldn't recommend. The chocolate chips were molten, they didn't have a bite to it. Strawberries were bitter. We couldn't even finish them. 1/5<br/>The Hazelnut Dome was good. 4/5<br/>The ambience is great! <br/>All in all, it was a below average experience in an above average looking place. Fin.

Ever since I knew I was moving to Coimbatore I had this place bookmarked . Initially we were given seating in the ground floor but we asked for another place and then got moved to first floor. I would say seating at first floor is better because of the lighting and obviously you get to take the beautiful staircase . When the menu was handed over, I was surprised that it looked like a door! A plus on that! Now the food, We asked for pizza and then got informed that it was available only between 3-7pm. If you want try pizza go early! ✔️French chicken soup - salty to me, was perfect to my husband and he loved the puff pastry taste with the soup. 3/5🟠✔️Chicken Roulade - Too juicy that I might return again to solely eat this dish alone! 5/5🟢✔️Chicken cordon bleu - 3.5/5 🟢Really good! Just that it didn’t feel like a main course to me. ✔️Creme Brûlée - 5/5 🟢TOO GOOD! Must try. Courteous staff for sure! Would return to try other items on the menu.<br/><br/><br/><br/>🔴 - Dont recommend <br/>🟠 - 50/50<br/>🟢 - Definitely try / Good.

Rating is for ambiance only not for food , we wanted to try coffee and burger , the main issue we left was menu timing they are closed with cafe menu at 7, we reached at 6.30 and they said all cafe menu is closed early so wat ever we asked was not there unfortunately and it was too early for dinner and they had only dinner available at 6.30...however would suggest to have coffee, tea all all the time if possible ..they didn't have coffee so we left , will surely try some other time

Loved the place!! Good ambiance and great variety of food. The service is very good. A perfect calm place to have lunch with your friends, family and loved ones. We had a great time. Must try..

This place will transport you to France with its uniquely amazing food and cozy yet artsy interior. They literally have the best baguettes in India. The Pumpkin soup is a must try with its amazing presentation. They have classic french dishes like the coq au vin and the chicken corden bleu.

French door has one of the best ambience. <br/><br/>The seating and colour is so cute..<br/><br/><br/>Tried their pizza and sandwich and both tasted good.

We waited for 45 min for our main course to get delivered on table . We went to an extent that we asked for the bill for whatever we ate by that time . Pathetic service. For good food I don’t think is justifiable to waste people’s time .

Great place, great ambience and even greater Food. Do try the ham burger and milkshakes.

It was an odd experience. It's one of those places you'd expect to have a good time and good food. Strangely that wasn't the case.<br/>Firstly, we learn that their cafe menu - which had crepes, croissants, pancakes, muffins, waffles, burgers, pizzas that we wanted etc... - is only available post 3 pm. While I wouldn't mind having Muffins & croissants anytime of the day, I wouldn't think to have them in the evenings.<br/><br/>I also would presume that a cafe would function throughout the day and not break service on account of lunch; I failed to check if they'd do the same on account of dinner too, cause if that's the case then they're only a cafe for 3-4 hours of the day, but come on. Whatever be it, they should have informed me when I called for a table, and mention in Zomato, and other platforms they're on. How are new customers to know?<br/><br/>I would assume a French café to have croissants and puff pastries on display ready to serve, but there was not a single offering of such.<br/><br/>Funnily though, they said the same cafe menu was available for home delivery throughout the day, how's that? It so happened they didn't have just the things we wanted. They denied us pizzas cause of time, we wanted to try the camembert cheese puff which was unavailable, also the mini dessert platter... The key lime pie we had instead was too sweet, we could feel the granulated sugar not fully mixed with the custard.<br/><br/>Thankfully they had the three cheese soufflé we wanted, it was richly delicious, and meant to be shared. The onion tart tartain we had instead of the puff, was also very good. But unlike the soufflé, this one if hardly enough for one. The truffle oil mushroom paté was unimpressive. We also ordered a fish tikka, which was well done though the produce was not fresh.<br/><br/>Since we wanted to have a pizza, we waited till 3 pm to have one, and it was abysmal to say the least. The pizza is hardly the size of a small plate, the tomato base was off colour & palatably stale, and we were literally the first ones to order it.<br/><br/>Like I said, it was just off; the whole experience. It's a nice café, beautiful premises, with some french dishes on the menu, but it is NOT a French café. Thinking it is was probably the biggest let down. It's just one of those days I'd say, but I feel there are things the management could improve.

The place is an absolute delight with a mesmerising interior. The food is delicious and portions are appropriate. A must try for french cuisine lovers.

I visited with my family on my birthday, ambiance was too good. It was house they creatively designed as restaurant.<br/><br/>Dishes which we ordered was good and tasty. When comes to cost it quit bit higher and quantity is less.
REVATHY ANBALAGAN
I ordered the French onion soup, it tasted good but the quantity is very less for the cost. I received only 1/3 quantity of soup.

I loved this ambience very much, its really fun to hangout to this place, it’s good for kids, good staff, it’s costly, food was not so much good,
Manu
I’m impressed! Such a lovely place and most importantly tasty food . Tucked inside R.S puram , this place is one of a kind in Coimbatore. Loved the french onion soup and mushroom quiche was top notch . Tandoori gobi could ve been a little flavourful . La Roughe was a refreshing drink . The showstopper was ratatouille. Absolutely delicious. Service is quick and ambience is lovely .

An increase in quantity of food would be very helpful. We ordered a beef burger and a chicken burger. The fries serving was like a pickle serving... Very less in comparison to the rest of the dish. Just a feedback. Hope I find a change the next time I come.

The ambience is really pretty. It has a very cutesy interiors. Staff are polite. However the food is quite bland and the dishes are flawed. The pesto pasta was oozing oil, Galouti kababs were disappointing and burnt, Gnochi wasn't quite upto mark. Since we went there for a birthday celebration, we had good birthday cake for dessert! Yay! Hence didn't have to try their dessert. The shakes too, aren't good. Tried the Ferrero Rocher one and they got it all wrong. The consistency, sweetness/taste made me regret ordering it.<br/><br/>Take away: Definitely not recommended for the overpriced unworthy food. But then again, it's the only kind of place in Coimbatore for its ambience<br/><br/>

The restaurant surely offers a wide variety in French Cuisine.. Good ambience and good service. What we liked the most-French Chicken soup, Broccoli soup, Spinach and chicken quiche, Ratatouille crepes, pasta in pesto sauce, hazelnut dome and Apple pie<br/>What we didn’t like - cheese fondue and fish. The toilet was dirty and requires maintenance.
Sp Thannush
Ambience 5/5<br/>Food 4/5<br/>Service 3/5<br/>The place was perfect for a cafe... The interiors were well done ... The food which we ordered were perfect... Hazelnut dome was a perfect desert to end with... The only thing lagging behind was the service... They take so only take your orders...even for the bill I had to wait like for 20 minutes... Otherwise this cafe is a nice place to hangout

For the time I was here I didn't feel like I was in Coimbatore- nicely decorated place , great menu and very nice food! Staff was polite. I liked the creme brulee and the pumpkin soup. Will be visiting again when I am in town.

The only highlight of Coimbatore!<br/>Went there on Valentine's Day (alone...). They had some specials that day and a great atmosphere with tastefully selected Interieur and noticeably high quality cutlery and crockery.<br/>The food was of high quality and authentic European taste. I had a great evening with the best food in Coimbatore.
Ankit Agarwal
A 5 star restaurant with a variety of cuisine and super dessert. Portion size is less but taste awesome. Food is fresh and there cafe menu is very good and worth a try. If you are looking for Customised food this is the place to try and I am sure you will not regret.

"Coq Au Vin in Coimbatore"<br/><br/>First day at Coimbatore and I head to this amazing place serving French cuisine @thefrenchdoor_ I was absolutely mesmerized by the ambience this place had to offer and I tried their signature dish- coq au Vin.<br/>It's a classic french dish of chicken and mushrooms braised in red wine. The experience was absolutely superlative and honestly I never ever imagined I'll get to try something as delicious as this.

I visited this place this weekend with my friend and we totally loved it. The ambience is very good - it is very neat& cosy. It has a vintage look. It's a great place to unwind. The color theme they have used soothes the eyes. I also loved their menu card ( it looks like a beautiful door :) )<br/><br/>We had a veg burger and egg sunny side up, both of which were very good.<br/><br/>Wonderful experience! :)<br/>

Nice location (R. S Puram) and set up. The place is ideal for a quite/romantic date. They arrange candlelight dinner too for an additional INR 500 and some. Balloons and flowers for 1000. The staff is very polite and the place isn't crowded which makes it a good experience.<br/><br/>The first disappointment was when I had asked them to set a candlelight dinner with a decorated table with a message and when we reached there there were just candles and nothing else. Upon asking, the staff said that there's no flower in the market sohey couldn't set it up. Thats okay but they should atleast inform in advance which wasn't done.<br/><br/>About the food<br/><br/>The food is expensive, a dinner for two will easily cost you about 2000 INR excluding starters and dessert.<br/>I had ordered a prawn cocktail, Coq au vin and a chicken cordon bleu.<br/><br/>The prawn cocktail is just a piece of prawn dipped in a sour sauce. Should be avoided unless you're a die hard prawn fan.<br/><br/>Coq au vin is basically two pieces of chicken ( a breast and a leg) with mushrooms and a hint of wine. I found the quantity to be very small and the food to be a bit too bland for my taste.<br/><br/>Chicken cordon bleu is deep fried chicken outer with ham and cheese interior. The taste was okay, definetly better than everything we had ordered. There were some French fires along with it which were rock hard and the server refused to change it.<br/><br/>I had ordered a pink panther and a French kiss for mocktail, based on the recommendation of the staff there. I feel I could make one better at home. Better to avoid drinks and directly go for the main course.<br/><br/>I would suggest you to go there if you're not very hungry because the quantity will disappoint you and the price will shock you.<br/>I think coimbatore can do with a much better French restaurant. Just okay for a one time visit.<br/><br/>
Pavi G Srinivas
The ambience is good. One good cafe to hang out in Rspuram. We had Red wine, Pasta, Espresso, French kiss mocktail, Ravioli,Sandwich<br/><br/>The food can be even better. Pasta was good. Mocktail could have been even more better. Sandwich was kind of sub it was fine. Beetroot Ravioli could have been even more better. It tasted more sweet.Pizza was good<br/><br/>Food 3/5<br/>Ambience 4/5<br/>Service 4/5<br/>

This place just stole my heart! Oh God, the lovely decor, elegant seating, simple subtle artworks just took my breath away. Au Gratin, Ratatouille and Lasagna tasted authentic. A very friendly team of staff who patiently describes the menu for the beginners of French cuisine.<br/><br/>Their mocktails are out of the world! Kovai Citizens, this place is a must-visit.

Oh.. the best place to go in Coimbatore <br/>Don’t have a doubt<br/>The quantity was less but tasted great <br/>Creame brûlée is a must try!!<br/>Good ambience...

French food is all about the Mood; if there is no perfect place to eat you won’t enjoy so keeping that in mind this place is a go go for French cuisine <br/>The ambience is excellent food is great <br/>People usually ask for quantity well perhaps it’s sufficient enough but less than other French restaurants in the country. Though this is the perfect place for some authentic French cuisine in Coimbatore. A decent place for a date. The chicken is halal though they serve pork also.<br/>My personal recommendation would be to try ravioli as it’s quite delicious. There Cajun chicken sou vide style is Also great <br/>Overall the food is delicious and the deserts are also great. Crémé brûlé is good but not as much most you may feel. Overall it’s a really great place to burn up your wallet.

It's a beautiful place especially considering it's right in RS Puram.<br/><br/>The ambience is the best part about the place. It has a great french backdrop for pictures. The pictures I've added are all non edited. Even their bill box is very very pretty. The coffee was also amazing- best coffee in Coimbatore. The waffles were perfect as well. Their service is also great- polite and happy waiters. It's quite pricey, compared to other cafes in the area.<br/><br/>It's a one of a kind place in Coimbatore, making it a must visit place according to me.

This restaurant is located on a quiet street and has a very old world rustic feel to it. If you end up with the right kind of company you might feel like you've been transported back in time. Great place for anniversary dinners and such (Personally I feel this place is best suited for pairs than groups). The menu is great. The restaurant staff makes sure you are comfortable in your table and provide courteous service with a smile. Great place to indulge yourself in.

I have been hearing about the beauty of The French Door Cafe in town!!!!!so being an Aussie return I was longing for a good continental food .so I went with a great expectation to revive the taste of nostalgia for my inner-palate .i had ordered a simple cuisine which is one of my favourite "penne alfredo chicken paired with red wine". with the first bite in my mouth, I felt this place has deceived me with its ambiences . I never waste food, but they made me do so. Yes Indeed !! dinning @ THE FRENCH DOOR was more than a meal of dissatisfaction for its price and promises of a gourmet food which it has failed to do so. I believe it can do much better with chef Shreeya Adka in presence.
Aravindan V
Great ambience, tasty food.<br/>Italian and French food are close to authentic.<br/>Staff need to be trained a bit more on the food suggestion. 4.5/5
Varun Raj
A cute, quaint restaurant with an inviting entrance. We ordered French chicken soup, prawn cocktail shots, chicken cordon bleu and Belgian chocolate gateau. The portions are quite small and the prices are high. The prawn cocktail shots were yummy whereas the cordon bleu was a bit bland.<br/>Food-4/5<br/>Ambience-4/5<br/>Service-4/5

Great place to hang out with your loved ones, friends or family. ...<br/>Nice ambience and staff is also polite. The food quality was amazing ..

The best place in Coimbatore for a non-Indian meal. The onion tart with goat cheese was absolutely fabulous and the steak was perfectly cooked. Lovely presentation all around and a place to keep going back to.
Vandhana Sundaram
The food and ambience was excellent. It’s a bit on the expensive side but worth it. Coq au vin was really good. Some other stand outs where Prawn cocktail sauce , fondue and chocolate hazelnut dome.
Melroy Dsouza
The french door cafe is like an oasis in the desert.<br/>There arent many restaurants around in coimbatore for french food. The ambience was really nice and quiet. The food was served at correct intervals and the steward was helpful too.<br/>Portion sizes are fine and can be shared between two easily. Would recommend to try the duck sometime too.
Nirosha Prakash
The entrance and the pretty green doors with the white curtains makes you want to stay in the restaurant a little longer. The food i would say is just ok. the prawn cocktail was needed a little more flavor maybe? The chicken roulade was a little dry but ok. The service could have been a little better. Restaurant- 5 , food - 3 and the service - 3

The North Indian cuisine is so much delicious....😍🤤<br/>Would definitely recommend people to try all the north Indian Cuisines.....<br/>Paneer tikka masala was great.....<br/>

Lovely ambience and authentic food. Was very surprised to find out that they serve Italian as well. Had the caramelised French onion soup (they custom made it with veg stock for me) and the beet root ravioli. The soup was spot on. The ravioli was too rich for me. I prefer hot food and craved spices to cut through the heaviness of the mushroom sauce. <br/><br/>Overall, really enjoyed my time there.

Pure French based restaurant taste very good but the sandwich bread I get shocked it’s like full size<br/> Rusk that’s only food I dislike when I try

Great French themed ambience with courteous staff,Loved the way they dress up and present the food,Perfect place to catch a gossip and to click some colorful picture :P Must visit once

I ordered Mushroom Chilli Quiche, Sun-dried Mushroom Cristina and a Creme Brulee. The food here is to die for and worth the price. Also, the ambience of this places gives you the vibes of France. The staff is courteous and friendly.
Sonale Kamatci
This is a overhyped restaurant in Cbe. The ambience was frenchy and beautiful 😍 , right from the menu. We ordered fish tikka (must_try) , chicken roulade, cog au vin, red pepper penne. Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ . But quiet heavy for one’s pocket. Service was also ✅. Parking ✅ <br/>Overall it was a fine dining experience!

What a place to be in Coimbatore... Very nice and soothing ambiance!<br/><br/>Had ordered Creme brulee, French Rivera, Mushroom & Sundried tomato Crostini, and Tomato, Mushroom Chilly Quiche....<br/><br/>Very fine dine restaurant, The food tasted fantastic, the beverage French Rivera was just tasting as good as it looked.<br/><br/>Creme brulee for dessers just made my day, probably the best custard I've had ever!<br/><br/>Food : 5/5<br/><br/>Ambiance :5/5<br/><br/>Service : 4/5

Ambience was really good ,u will feel as you are in France ..food was really good but quantity is less but it is reasonable..since they have import the ingredients ..never miss out the French chicken soup and penne arabiata ..in desserts Apple tart was fantabulous..<br/>Try out if u are comfortable with new tastes and dishes.
Reshma
I do have to say this is the best place for gourmet food made with the right sense of taste without losing it's originality...The Chicken Au Gratin was just right about perfect with the perfectly reduced bechamel sauce and evenly cooked chicken and broccoli...I like my broccoli to be a little crunchy and this was just perfect... Sangria was yum leaving me craving for more...The Creme Brulee was just beyond the world experience because after trying most of the continental restaurants in Coimbatore I found my perfect match with Creme Brulee right here with the custard in the right consistency and the perfectly glazed sugar...Chef Shreya seems to know her grounds very well and did an amazing job with the food...Well done French Door...Loved the service...Will be coming back for more...

The people over here are really helpful and generous. They helped me out in making my parents anniversary dinner a memory of lifetime. They were very co-operative with me paying them online from here (Mumbai) and even decorated there table for a fine dine and arranged a cake for them too. Hats off to you guys keep up the good job.
Chaithanya Chandrasekar
Food tasted fairly good. Ambience is beautiful. Servers are very polite. Variety of food is quite mixed and interesting. However , portions are just extremely low and pathetic. We went as a party of five and you would think they would at least serve five pieces of each appetizers , but it was limited to four tiny pieces and priced about the same as a main course. Even the desserts are over priced and very sadly and minutely portioned. Theatrics in presentation coupled with small portions does not justify for the over pricing. <br/>Will not be returning any time soon unless I hear that they have made improvements.
Vandana Madhok
Got carried away with rave reviews, the only good thing is the decor, food was extremely average. The fondue had no fire which was surprising and the service was very poor! The experience is nothing close to French cuisine as well.
Farha
This place gets full points for ambience :) it’s like walking into A Tiffany store with its blue and white theme . The food is equally good with really nice staff. We ordered the goat cheese salad and roasted pumpkin soup. Yummilicious. The steak was also cooked to perfection but the best part was the creme brûlée dessert. Been a while since I had a good creme brûlée and I went back the next day again just to have some more with my cup of coffee. Definitely visiting this restaurant again when I am in Coimbatore next.

Pretty place. Love the way it's done in pastel blue. Food is good too. Just a tweeny bit pricey. Would be great if they served panckaes/waffles for breakfast as well.

A very beautiful n thoughtful place for both your cafe and restaurant needs. Nice service and best place for your family to enjoy delicious french n indian cuisine.

Visited this place sometime back . Ambience is the best in town ,vintage vibes totally . For vegetarians there are limited choices but nevertheless good ones I tried the minestrone soup (felt like rasam basically ) , veg au gratin(if you like broccoli go for it ) , penne alfredo ( must try ) and strawberry banana milkshake . If your taste buds are craving for subtlety then this is the place to be . The service is good and dishes are on the pricier side but this is the place to be on a Sunday afternoon !!!!
Shraddha Surendra
Love this quaint lil truly french looking cafe. The food is great - Duck Confit is not to be missed! They also have a chicken in wine sauce grill (I forget the name) which is fab. The Cajun spiced chicken was average. Overall, quality food. Can be heavy on the pocket.

Im rating 4 for bring a new french experience to coimbatore 👍🏼 we will not understand the menu if we did not do any ground work on french food before. Its a good place to take lovely pictures. AC is very poor and we feel hot inside during lunch. Highly expensive food for the cusine.
Aditya
Staff are polite and courteous. Food is expensive but good. Didn't like their mojitos much, maybe I didn't choose a good one. Liked their steak, it was perfectly cooked as well as attention to it's arrangement was taken. Absolutely loved their Key Lime pie, a must try if you're going there. Only thing I didn't understand is that they have an All American Breakfast that they only serve after 3 pm, a little surprising because I thought I could have it for brunch. Oh well still a pleasant experience!!!
Ram
Good quality of food served in pleasant ambience. Cost side its little higher but worth paying for food. Staff are very gentle and kind. Please prefer for leisure dining and enjoy the food 😀
Subhashree A.S
I had a high expectation for this place until we got served. We ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses which the attender either seemed to have forgotten or unheard. We were served with one starter, which, like half an hour later we had to remind the team that we ordered another starter. Meantime when we order 2 main courses, it was only one we were served with and the attender made a note that it was their kitchen closing time and that if we need anything else. I must tell you, you have a very pathetic crew with very poor hospitality.

This is one of very few chosen spot in Coimbatore to take my better half. Been there a week after my marriage in July. It was our first Ferroro Rocher Milkshake in a calm evening. Indeed a jaw dropping feel. Pleasing staffs. <br/><br/>Insha Allah, will visit once again in day time. <br/><br/>I would recommend visitors to check-in during monsoon and winter evenings especially. You feel like you are somewhere in nearby Nilgiris.<br/><br/>Good Luck Owner & Crew

A tranquil restaurant. Has a semi rustic French feel, isolated from the bustling traffic of Coimbatore. The pesto chicken pizza is a must try. Overall a first attempt in the fine fine segment for Coimbatore. <br/>Kudos to the management for this venture. <br/><br/>Please try to partner with Zomato Gold. It will help increase the foot fall in your restaurant. <br/><br/>Eagerly looking forward to seeing French Door on the gold partner list.<br/><br/>

Nice and quiet place away from noise of the city. Good variety, but was disappointed with the portion sizes given the high cost.. ok for those who are not worried about the budget..

A good french restaurant serving both french and some Indian dishes. Was not crowded and no need to book a table. We ordered prawn cocktail shots, chicken and spinach Quiche & Quiche Lorraine for starters and chicken cordon bleu, fish steak and hollandaise, duck L'orange for the main course.. Appetizers were bland but we can't expect much more in a French cuisine.. I would suggest prawn cocktail shots out of all 3.. coming to the main course chicken was ok , fish was good but much less quantity duck is the best but was a bit more salty. A big plus to ambience, food presentation and service but food quantity and price let's my rating goes down. A one time try place

Love this place for ambience and the staff's courtesy towards customer! We lost one of our gift item when we visited there..everyone from the restaurant where so helpful to search it back in the restaurant. Good for couples to have a best time! Great taste too! Love it totally!

The place is a Dreamland. Beautiful ambeince and an even amazing food. The staff is very friendly. And the food is just brilliant. <br/>The place is pretty expensive, as some of the food items are overpriced, but that's not a complain.<br/>Their desserts menu is a treat for the eyes and the best they have. <br/>It's a must visit place if you're in Coimbatore.

This place is Coimbatore is most popular for its continental delicacies with an excellent ambience n classy interiors. The food tastes great but the drinks we had ordered weren’t up to the mark. The staff were extremely polite and efficient.

Delicious food both French and Indian appetizers. Hefty prices. I tried Coq Au Vin, Chicken Tikka and a mocktail whose name I forgot. Worth a visit as a tourist.

Amazing place, must visit, especially if you are a tourist and looking for variety and quality food. Tried their north indian and i must say i didn’t feel any difference in the flavours. Plus points for the ambience which is supremely soothing and pleasing to the eye.

Beautiful ambience , with the vintage look , right place for eve time ,but unfortunately I went for dinner , was wanting to have burgers and pizzas , but that closed after 7pm , the starter, chicken tikka was amazing and the chicken cheese rolled recipe was good too , butter naan and mughalai Chicken went well , but was very disappointed with the mutton briyani and the Ghalouti kebab . They served us well and looked after my baby and gave all requirements to keep her in place ,the toddler chair and some toys . Must check place in Coimbatore

This place is a bit pricey but totally worth it. I went there sometime after the usual linch time and hence sadly had to order from their cafe menu. But that said the pizza i tasted was authentic and yummy. The burger we order was also good. Moreover the place is just so beautiful with low rise french doors and blue tables. I would definitely try it again😋

Awesome ambience! Good service.<br/>What I ordered<br/>Appetizer: pumpkin soup with baguette (try to have the soup hot) too good<br/>Main course: coq au Vin. The meat and the sauce both are good with a blande taste. Good when had in small proportion<br/>Eggs Benedict. They had given two eggs benedict. One was too good but the other one the meat chosen wasn't right. Very chewy<br/>Desert: Creme brulee (perfectly made)<br/>Overall a good hotel having the capability to make a huge hole on your pocket!

Ambience - 5/5<br/>Service- 4.5/5<br/>Food-4/5<br/>Overall-4/5<br/><br/>Before entering this place, be ready to shell some extra for food.<br/><br/>The place is really nice, with the decors, interior concept and serving style. Food is not only French-based but other varieties are also available. Make a wise decision before choosing any dish, some really sound good but may land you in trouble. <br/><br/>Quality and Quantity both are good to satisfy one's hunger.<br/><br/>I will not say must try, but for some change or new ambience, please visit.

Amazing food and lovely ambience. Delivery is also satisfactorily good. Place is in a quiet part of RS Puram that you may fail to notice it even if you pass by. We had dinner last week and the entire family enjoyed all that we ordered. Both the Italian and Indian cuisines were tasty and well served. Only minus I can think of the quantity of starters aren't up to the mark for the money paid. Keep up the good quality of food guys

The best French restaurant in covai. No words for the wide range of selective menu. Great ambience. Felt a bit pricey. But for what they offer the cost is good.

<br/>Let's start with the positives, The interior takes me to some tiny villages in France with the doors and windows and the classic shades of white and Aqua and the chandelier's adds elegance to the overall theme of the restaurant.Has an a authentic French atmosphere! The food is great!

A nice cozy restaurant in RS Pyram close to Brookfield's Mall. The restaurant is slightly difficult to find but Google Maps gives out the exact location.<br/>The quality of the food is good and garnishment is over the top, but the restaurant is more like a tasting menu rather than the one you go to fulfill your hunger.<br/>Staff is polite and courteous. They are patient to help you out in Dishes with French names.<br/>Mocktails are above average and not exceptional but again presentation has full marks.<br/>Appetizers were unique but quantity was really limited. In main course we ordered a Pizza which was great and tasted really well.<br/>Dal Makhni and Mushroom Peas we ordered in main course were delightful and served enough portions for three of us.<br/>If you are in for the ambience and don't mind tasting menu, the place is perfect for you but if you are really hungry and quench by eating all you can, then it is going to cost you high.

Ambience - 4.5<br/>Service - 5<br/>Quality - 4.5<br/><br/>French door is a quaint cafe with a beautiful setting. Its perfect for a date night or a lazy evening to relax and unwind yourself and hangout with friends or family. It has a classic European ambience reminding colonial era. The food is also exquisite with unique taste. Tried the roast pumpkin soup which was heavenly.im not a soup person but loved this one. Tried some appetizers and pasta, pasta is not as good as the other dishes.felt it was a bit bland.the apple tart was definitely a good try and the baguettes were also good. The staff was very courteous and pleasant. Had a great evening at french door.will definitely go back to try more on the menu.
