Review Hotel Kannappa Coimbatore - Coimbatore

Vishnu
Tasty South Indian non veg meals with 3 varieties of gravy. Clean and hygienic by serving on banana leaf. Must try coconut payasam as dessert.
Vishnu Harilal
One of the best restaurants to have Non vegetarian food. All the items were good. Tried Chicken Grill, Chicken 65 fry, Butter chicken, roti, lime juice and Naan. Everything tasted really good. The place is crowded during peak hours. There are some seats in the entrance for waiting. The staffs are well mannered. There is parking space just beside the restaurant but hard to find parking spot during peak times.
Balaji Karunagaran
One of the best place to have typical South Indian non veg food. The restaurant is mostly crowded during peak hours. They have their car parking space at right side of their restaurant. There is lot of varieties from their menu list. Soup and mutton Biriyani is with authentic taste.

Good food, nothing extraordinary. Felt bit pricey for what we got.

Literally one of the best mutton biriyani I've tasted. Restaurant situated on avinashi road. It was crowned even on a weekday. Had to wait for at least 15mins to get our table. Parking is available but was full due to the crowd but that crowd was unexpected on a weekday. We tried mutton biryani, chicken BBQ, mutton kola ball, fish fry which cost us 1200rs for 2 people, that is an average of 600rs per person if you order a main course and a starter. Mutton biriyani - out of the world, not too spicy and not too plain, seeragasamba rice and mutton pieces aptly cooked. doesn't cause a heavy stomach. I really loved it. Chicken BBQ - we ordered kannapa special bbq but it was not available so settled up for normal bbq. But it was no less than the biriyani, it was good. Mutton kola balls - felt like home cooked food. I really loved it. Fish fry - the only item which we were not really happy about. It was very spicy and literally had tears in my eyes. The piece was really thin, so when it cooled it became hard. On the whole it is one of the best restaurants for biryani lovers. Must try if you are in coimbatore.

One of the best food places in coimbatore, near to newly opened broadway cinemas Must try - Mutton biriyani, mutton meat balls(mutton kola), Keema dosa Prawns dish(mulakuperattal) we tried was an average dish. Eventhough most of the tym the place is so busy and crowded, the service is fast and the staff is very friendly also. Suggested for all age groups

The food is good especially the biryani . The rest of the foods are okay i guess. The food tastes vary depending on the crowd at that time . We ordered mutton and chicken biryanis . Kola urundai , chicken lollipop and chicken pallipalayam . Lollipops were good . The kola urundai was a bit soggy wasn’t the actually crispy types . Chicken Kothu parotta was good the last time but this time it was average .

Biriyani was worthy , proper spicy ness . We went around 30 peoples on 31-12-23 noon & it was their peak hour . The manager made arrangements for us to sit on tables within 10-15 mins . Good service & the total bill was around 13k & .
harshitha vivek
Went with a friend. Food was tasty and good. But only discomfort we felt was we were made to sit with strangers. Both me and her felt uncomfortable. I understand that there was rush. But in other tables only 2 people were sitting. Otherwise we had a great time. And it's bit expensive too

Don't visit after 2pm for lunch. Menu items go missing after 2. Biryani is ordinary. Better chettinad options available elsewhere.

Not bad...but the service gentlemans watch the plates still to end..that's we comport like uneasy!

Worst of the worst. We waited for 45 minutes but they didn't allot us tables. alloted tables to people who came after us. Being in hospitality sector- they shouldn't be doing this. Ruining coimbatore's reputation.
Raj Shrikrishnan
Promising south Indian restaurant, neat and good ambience. Crab soup was good, and carb pieces were well cooked and soft. Mutton kola balls is must try. Biriyani quantity was sufficient, not less, not much. Tandoori was different, some sauce was on it, yet good. Mutton chukka was good, but quantity was less. Liver was bad, hard to chew.

This place is serving the best starters. Fish finger and butterfly prawn always in the top list. Prawn pepper fry, baby corn, chicken barbeque was superb. Main course were okay. Elaneer payasam definetly stealed the show.

Hotel Kannappa one of the known restaurants in Coimbatore a place to visit with friends, family and for meet up ,get together etc. The service here is good and the ambience here is excellent and people visit here for lunch and dinner. Usually busy during the weekends and there are lot of seating capacity so wait time here is less. They have ample car parking facilities back side of the hotel and this place can be easily located as it lies on the main road.

I visited during the weekend, during the night time it was busy but as the service is quick and lot of table available it is very rare for waiting I think so……( as I have not experienced )as I am visiting this place for the first time .

About the Food I ordered:

⭐ Chettinad Nattu Kozhi Rasam- This is basically a chicken soup and it was not as expected but was ok. The thing is just a piece of chicken in a boiled water with some spices is the concept behind this. The taste was ok but not highly recommended.

⭐ Pallipalayam Chicken- Tasting it for the first time, it was of chicken boneless pieces mixed with spices and red chilies and the taste was really good and this is a must try option here and I really loved it.

⭐ Idiyappam – Two Pieces were served with sweet milk and the size was small otherwise the taste was good and can be tried here.

⭐ Mutton Biryani-Was good and the mutton piece was cooked well and the quantity is fit for a person and the kuruma given for the biryani was good, when tasted it with the biryani.

⭐ Kudal Kulambu- Also known as the Mutton Boti Curry/Gravy was well cooked and the gravy had a excellent aroma when served and this was the best when we had it with Kal Dosai.

⭐ Dragon Chicken-As usually the dragon chicken had the same taste with the tangy flavor and in this place the chicken pieces was small and was a bit dry ….

⭐ Kal Dosai – The Dosa was big in size and most people buy kal Dosai here as it goes along with all the side dish and the gravy perfectly and we had kal dosai with the botti /Kudal Kulambu and with the Nattu Kozhi Masala.

⭐ Nattu Kozhi Masala-It was like a homemade masala , the chicken was well cooked and the aroma made us mouthwatering and the taste is definitely excellent and please try this with kal dosai.

Overall everything was good, Please fix the taps in the Wash Room and make necessary changes in the food like the soup and the dragon chicken, apart from this the ambience, table service which is really quick, response for questions by the captians , customer service by the management everything is excellent. I ll Give 4 Stars for this place.
Tried Chettinad and Mughalal Biryani. Both were very good but taste was pretty okay. Chicken roast was good. Ambiance and service was polite. Don't forget to try Elaneer Payasam that made me order twice since the quantity was not enough. Price is very high on major items based on quantity.

This is one of the restaurants in Coimbatore that’s famous for High Class Chettinad food. The place has amazing interiors that’s close to a fine-dine restaurant. Being closer to the airport the place attracts a lot of outsiders and locals. I recently visited the restaurant with a group of friends and that had a local spoke highly about the place.
Ambiance
The interiors of the place look very good and every seat is nicely seutp.
There is piece of paper in everyones seat that tells a little about Kannappa. The restaurant already has 3 more branches in Trichy.
Kannapa also does ‘Outdoor Catering’ and also allows take-away & home-delivery.
Ample car parking space is available around the restaurant.
Food
South Indian Meal
The meal is served on a plantain leaf kept inside a specially designed plate. This allows one to enjoy eating in plantain leaf and not allow sambar to come out of the plantain leave. Even if it does, it will remain in the plate.
Items served includes varieties of Sambar (normal, rasam & kara kozhumbu), 3 currys, Salad, Pick, Rice and Paapad.
Among the curries – 2 of the dry-dishes and 1 semi-gravy dish (potato) are serve on the plantain leaf.
Buttermilk and chutneys are served in small bowl. South Indian Paapad is also served and one can always ask for more.
All the above-mentioned items are eaten along with plain rice that’s served in plenty. The waiter is also kind enough to put as much as needed.
I enjoyed the taste of all the curries and sambar. Specially loved the Tondakayi (Ridge Gourd) curry as it was very well cooked and tasted good. The green-gram curry also had Moong Daal and grated coconut pieces.
Curd is not served, and one needs to task the same. Waiter immediately obliges by bringng it.
Tender Coconut Payasam / Elaneer Payasam
Payasam is the traditional word used to describe kheer/liquid-sweet in South India. This dish mainly contains coconut milk, tender coconut milk, tender coconut pulp, sugar, cardamom, nutmeg, cashews. The drink usually contains less sweet and perfect to be taken during a hot day. Taste of the payasam was just amazing and very refreshing.
My friends also enjoyed ordering few Chettinad Chicken Curry, Biryani and enjoyed every bite.
Overall Experience
A great place to dine in with your family and friends. If you are a traveller, I will recommend the place as its very close to the International airport. The service can be a little slow but once they started serving, they became faster. Taste of the curries are little different compared to what I find in Bangalore. I enjoyed the South Indian Meals and thought it was a good meal. I will recommend the same to anyone in/visiting Coimbatore. My current rating for the place would be 4.0/5.
Rating in other departments.
Food – 4.0/5
Ambiance – 4.0/5
Drinks – 3.75/5
Service – 3.5/5
Food for 2 at the place will come to anywhere between INR 500-1200.

We went a group of 10ppl from my office. Ordered several NV and veg items. Service is Good. Most of the foods are good as expected. But the gravy items are very ordinary. Nothing special . Prices are bit high for the taste and quantity.
Balaji Subramaniam
Ordered aapam and chicken mulligatawny soup ......appam was great and they served it with veg stew and coconut milk ...
The soup which i ordered was really amazing .....usually I'll go to anna poorna for mulligatawny soup ....but here they won my taste buds ...
Mutton briyani - 10/10.. The taste was awesome..it was bit spicy too... I loved the taste... I'll strongly recommended this..
Garlic chicken - 10/10 It was like Chinese type though loved the taste
Dragon chicken - 7/10 ... The chicken was very hard and it felt like I was biting a bone.. taste was average and chicken too hard
BBQ chicken - 4/10 .... It was salty...i tasted only salt in the chicken.... 4 marks is for the mayonnaise ... Thank God it saved me
This place is one of the definite visits during lunch for authentic chettinad lovers.
Tasted these n loved the taste : Mutton biriyani, meals with fish curry, elaneer payasam, hot carrot halwa.
Ambience is very decent for family visits.

Very tasty food as well, I’m loving how Coimbatore is growing up to have good restaurants choices, try the bbq it’s quiet different, their specialty is the elaneer payasam (tender coconut with milk) it tastes so much better than it sounds you won’t regret it. Everything else is on point too, Good biriyani, yummy prawns and the regular parotta kinda stuff.

Quality of food is too bad. Insects and bird feather everything you can get in their food. Worst experience in this place. No hygiene standards
Nandakumar S
Spacious and airconditioned. Well maintained. Mutton briyani & mutton kola urundai tasted as native. Good quantity. Finally done with sweet lassi...🤗

Went there on a Sunday and had to wait for 20 minutes before getting a table. Ordered Fish Fingers and Mutton Biryani. Mutton biryani is good and fulling. Fish fingers tasted a bit sweet for my palate. Finished of with Elaneer Payasam, which is really good.

Avoid Sundays if you hate crowd and waiting time.

Also, service can be improved.

What an experience.. I still can’t believe that I ran out of option and forced myself to not walk away from this restaurant being in Coimbatore.
I was super hungry.. !!

Walked in and found great ambience.. very well done interiors.
Now the food, ordered chicken biryani and requested them not to serve with Leg piece considering I don’t enjoy it as much as any other part but to my surprise, we were told that the biryani comes only with leg piece.
I am not liking the place already but we were not left with option hence had to continue with order.

Biryani makes it to the table.. with not very happy swing, we start digging into it.
Chicken leg looked more like those hybrid bird which is not considered very healthy for human consumption.
Quantity - 2 of us shared 3 biryani, 1 Biryani rice and a starter and still walked out unhappy.
We ain’t wrestlers.. average size human v/s very poor quantity food @ Kannappa.

Sorry Hotel Kannappa, I have had much better place serving way better biryani along with good portion priced accordingly.

One the best places in Coimbatore for a tasty meal. Great ambience and wonderful menu. The staff are friendly and courteous. The best mutton briyani in town and the vanjaram meen is minf blowing. Usually the place is packed, would recommend calling and booling a table. The prices are pocket friendly too.

Their biriyani is the best. Do end it with ilaneer payasam. It's the best you'll have! Lollipop and other chicken varieties are also great. Kola Urundai too. Overall great non veg destination. Looking forward to it coming into the main town with branches.

Pretty decent choice for afternoon meals. Non Veg Meals was ok with its taste and quantity. Tried the Butterfly Prawns for the first time and was good as well. Mutton chops was average but the best of all is Tender coconut payasam. Overall a decent choice. 3.5/5.

I must say that the mutton Biriyani and elaneer Payasam are one of the best anywhere. Have eaten these almost everytime I visit this place.
But one day I ordered chicken Biriyani and chilly fish to take home. To my utter disappointment the chili fish was unpalatable. It seemed as though the the fish and the masala mixed with it had been kept in the fridge for quiet some time and they simply did not get along with each other. The fish was hard and the masala and the fish were falling of each other. The chicken Biriyani was no where close to the mutton Biriyani they serve. The smell and the rice were off.

Really nice place to have a lunch. Be sure of your timings in weekends bcoz tables are almost house full.. I went on to this place two times i really like their chettinad dishes especially their meals and biryani taste good. Even i got the mutton biryani around 3.45 with hot served. Ambience and service are quiet good. Satisfied

I can't pronounce properly the name of the foods so I will not write the name. But each item was so yummy that whenever I get a chance I will go there for dinner. I am not a dessert liker but the payassam which they made is just so delicious that I can't explain it. It's a good place to calm your hunger..
not only did they sent the wrong dish they even served it poor. milkshakes with ice cream had no ice cream in it, soups had rice fragments in the bottom! not the standard to be expected from Zomato!

Elaneer payaasam is amazing here. Don’t miss it. Mutton keema balls was also really good. I will definitely frequent this place. Weekends are usually busy. So prepared to wait to get seats.
Just a waiting time of 10mins isnt much for a delightful experience for the next couple of hours. This is a review from a vegetarian. So my rare veggies, this isnt a must visit place for us. If you are caught up with non vegetarians and if you have no choice, the following few items from their menu is a survival option. Cream of tomato is definitely a decent start. Manchurians weren't very tasty.Dakshini paneer is a bad option. So go for dry fried starters. Rotis and other breads with Paneer Butter masala and mushroom. masala are a good combination here. Singapore Noodles is amazing with a variety of fruit slices and sauces that would leave you mouthful. For deserts, Do Do Do try Elanir Paayasam(Paayasam made out of tender coconut), You might even end up having one more.

For non vegetarians, there is no doubt about this place. A sure to visit restaurant.
Saket Shrirao

We went to this place for family Dinner! (Reviewing after 2 month's of visiting)

No picture's as my phone was caught up in Grandpa's hands! 😥

And We were around 12 of us! We got a choice of ordering almost mist of the dishes in the menu!
Out of all the must try in the shop is Rabbit curry! Chicken lollipop, Crab Masala, Vajram Fish! And Dakshini Cauliflower! Nalli (who loves bones)! Prawn pirattal!

Coming to main dish! Chicken Briyani is good! Kadai Roast! Naan was lightly over cooked! Chicken kothu parotta! Mutter paneer was good!

And we went for Ice cream with carrot Halwa, And Gulab Jamun! And Brownie with ice cream! Ice cream with Carrot Halwa was mind blowing!

That perfect dinner Night!

I was on a short trip to Coimbatore and was looking for some good non veg chettinad food. As I was wrapping up my day late, I decided to pack my food from the restaurant. This was highly recommended by one of the loacalites. so I did ordered the food on phone .However when I reached , I regreted of doing so as they have a great ambience as well as some dish of the day which was not there on menu.A chettinad specail restaurant the place smelled great. We ordered kutthu paratha, chicken chettinad, mushroom Manchurian and biriyani. Food was great and pricess were trifle. Surely I will be visiting again to enjoy the overall experience

Yumm: Tandoori chicken is a good choice when you go in a huge gang. Comes with a neat mint chutney. Pieces are cut small which is something I noticed. Chicken clear soup is decent. Vegetarians would like the mushroom pepper fry.

Ermm: My friends vouch for the butterfly prawns fry but I have my reservations against prawns at restaurants generally. It’s hard to find a nice and safe place for eating prawns out of home for me.

The quantity of mutton chukka is so small it can fit in half your palm. Ridiculously expensive at times.

The taste of the gravy in Mutton nalli sukka hadn’t drained well into the meat.

The fish fingers were not rich on fish meat. I think that’s because almost all restaurants today use basa fish which is not a very nutritious choice of fish. Definitely not the place for fish fingers.

Roti did not live up to my expectations as it was over burnt at some part of its underside.

The Bbq veg platter is a paltry trick when you realise the quantity they serve you on a cheap plastic plate.

Kesar kaju kismis pulau is a fancy name for an insipid dish.

For the very expensive special veg meal, you might as well consider a pure veg restaurant.
Not that it is awful, but the pricing eclipses that of pure vegetarian restaurants which are well known for fulfilling meals.

Carrot alwa with ice cream is a bomb of a cost for the amount of ice cream they offer. Advice: go elsewhere for desserts.

Special: Ceylon egg parrota. This was my saviour. And I will remember to make this choice and only this next time I go there. Overall, this is a good place for select food choices but ridiculous for others.

One among the finest non veg restaurants in coimbatore. We tried the lunch at there. The ambiance is good. Crowded but got a good service.

We ordered meals, chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, chicken lollipop and Sunday spl fish 🎏.

The meal with gravy's and fish was awesome.

The chicken lollipop was also good.

The biriyani was okay okay range.

Loved it. After came out only come to know that they have elaneer payasam. Will try it during my next visit.

Overall enjoyed the time.

Manthal Fish is one of the best menu item
Excellent recipe.... and I prefer this place for quick delivery on table... Wish they extend their home delivery service wing to wide radius

Wow. We were a group of 7 people and we got to taste so many items. Started with the Nandu soup. 😋 One of the best places to have kaadai in town. Both the kadai roast and kadai 65 were good. But for ₹160, we got only one. Nevertheless, it was good. Egg brain fry was top notch. Don't miss it when you are here. Followed by another 14 varieties of different dishes and ended it all with a tandoori.

Go as a group of min 10 people and you can try out as many items as possible.

My veg friend said that the aappam was good. I was already immobile and declined to taste it.

It is located just opposite to Arcadia hotel. The biryani tasted very good and the chicken pieces were nicely cooked. The only concern was the quantity, which was less. You can also get rabbit curry and pigeon here. The elaneer payasam was top notch. You will have a sense of satisfaction after u drink that. Overall
Ambience 4/5
Food 4/5
Service 4/5

The best hotel. The perfect chetinad restaurant. I have tasted almost all the dishes and they are so delicious. A treat for non veg lovers. Fish fingers and Dragon chicken are my favorite.

The best desert I have ever tasted is இளநீர் பாயாசம் from Kannapa. Worth for 80rs. Love all the foods and the ambience of this restaurant. Have visited their trichy restaurant too equally delicious. Approx 700INR for 2 persons.

One of the best places to have authentic chetinad food, but please be prepared to wait before you get a table. The food quantity and quantity and quality are good, you get your moneys worth.

Ambience 4.5/5
Quality 4.5/5
Service 3/5
Cost 4/5
Taste 4.5/5

First we started with the cream of chicken soup , butterfly prawns , tandoori chicken, fish fingers, mutton kola urundai, egg paniyaram , ginger chicken, natukoli fry , kadai fry then butter chicken , chicken chettinadu , roti and ended with line soda and elanir payasam ... The elanir payasam was awesome

The best biriyani in Coimbatore is served here! Both chicken and mutton.. I loved the flavor of it... best Tamil Nadu biriyani!... The Chicken I ordered was so fresh and juicy.. I was really happy about the ambience and the staffs over there.. They were attentive and patient... The cost will also seem to bring smile to your face... Overall the experience was good and you will definitely recommend it to your circle..

We visited as friends, a group of 6 people. The place was cozy with medium range chettinad hotel level interiors but with extremely slow and careless service, crowded even on a thursday afternoon!
Since we went out for lunch, we resorted to meals of different categories. Veg special meals, non veg meals and non veg special meals.
The first point to note is the cuisine is nothing so special or stand alone from any other normal restaurants or hotels.
Their kaara kolambu (puli kolambu as some may call it) was awesome. Fish curry, was full of fish bones which were actually crushed and made us despise that curry. They don't give an appalam (pappad) and curd for normal meals. Special meals have both of those, chapatis, gravies, ice creams and non veg special meals had some biriyani which was actually delicious. And we ordered a chicken spring roll, which was not up to the mark..
The icecreams were good (think they were amul icecreams). The most important dish that pushed me to write this review is their tender coconut payasam! It was just awesome but sadly ridiculously priced at 75 bucks!!
And finally, you have a spacious parking space.
Food 3.5/5
Ambience 4/5
Service 3/5
Speciality - tender coconut payasam
Mahalakshmi Anand
Just had dinner at the place along with my mom.
The ambiance of the restaurant is that of a typical mid range chettinad restaurant.
We ordered two specials Crab Shelless and Fish briyani along with Chicken Kothuparotta and Mutton Sukka.
The mutton and the Kothuparotta were very tasty
The crab tasted and looked a lot like Sora(shark)puttu.
The fish briyani was bland and not very flavourful.
I had to eat it with lashings of the gravy which came with it to make it palatable.
The portion size is also very small. We initially wondered whether we had ordered a lot but in retrospect it was barely sufficient for two people.
The place was buzzing even on a week night so maybe this portion size is the norm for Coimbatore.

Joy
I visited this place for dinner with my family. The place was heavily crowded which already gave a gold impression about the place. The ambience and decor of the place waa impressive and neat. A good variety of food items were available. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. A little high on the pocket I would say but it is definitely worth visiting on special days. The item which won my heart was the tender coconut payasam! - coconut lovers dont miss this!

Wonderful restaurant, the best BBQ platters we get in Coimbatore, prepared with originality. They do organize small gatherings ( we organized birthday party), very friendly people, never hesitate. Food quality and taste is very nice and value for the money we spend.

Kannapa is the heart for the people living near Airport . It has an really excellent ambience. The food has its own taste. You can find the correct amount of spice in Non-Veg items. The fish is exceptionally good. The price worths it's taste. The service is quick and good despite of it's large crowd. Desserts are bit costlier than normal.

Hello team, How could you prepare these kind of dishes without cleaning properly. Here you can see that I have ordered for mutton paya. You see the skin of mutton, which is not properly cleaned. I am not posting the picture of kadai briyani were if anyone sees the chest part with blood stains. When we asked reg this, authorities tried to stop and took us out.

Poor hygiene is maintained in their dishes. I went for lunch and I ordered for veg meals and I found female hair in sambar that they served. It was nauseating.

For the first time tasted authentic Chettinad style dishes here. Visited for the first time and had no idea what to be ordered and I went for my regular favourite -Kadai Roast-- yes it was really a great taste. And next ordered as usual naan with chicken Chettinad ( lot of pieces than the gravy) ##Happiness to the core bcoz lot of boneless pieces ##... Review for this restaurant-- Ambience -Good , Taste - Very good , Service - Very very quick and good :) :)

After a long wait I visited this chettinad restaurant for dinner with family. I had a moderate expectation on food and they fulfilled it without a doubt.Fully furnished and it replicates more over like other chettinad restaurant in the city so it doesn't make a new feel .They offers the authentic food with the country Style menu. They are well know for their Briyani and 7spice dishes . Also they offer Chinese menu which is an extra topping to the menu . Kozhi soup , chicken tandoori , Tawa fish fry and the Ellani milk dessert was delicious .Overcall it's a good experience with food not too high nor bad.

Food :3/5
Ambience :3/5
Hospitality :3/5
Approx :900 INR (for two)
Varshini Krishnan

The ambience was good. But the service is too slow. The taste good like our tamilnadu taste. But price is high for this stuff. Staff behaviour is make us feeling dine in local mess.

A very clean and lovely ambience. We tried a lunch here and the food was well served and good in taste. A fine multi cuisine restaurant to get along on a family-out day.

This is one awesome place for delicious food.Every dish we ordered was superb. The mutton biryani has a different taste and good flavor. The killer must have dish is Ceylon Keema. The mutton kothu parotha was just Wow. Despite placing many orders we couldn't resist to try some more. We ordered the heavenly Appam and coconut milk, it was like eating a cloud. So lite, airy n fluffy you just want more. Based on the Supervisor recommendation we had the ellaneer payasam. No better way to end our dinner with this super delicious drink. The service was on time, all the time ..ambience is very lively and neat.

A long overdue review for this restaurant.I was here with my family a month back. They have enough parking space which is a big plus point. The décor looks very neat and nice lighting over the walls.Furniture seems to be okay and can accommodate around 80-100 people. The place was already crowded but we somehow got a table after few minutes of waiting. The Supervisor greeted us and he told us the day's special dishes. We also had a look at the menu card which had an array of South Indian,North Indian and Chinese food.

We ordered Pepper Chicken,Mutton liver fry,Nethili fish fry and Rabbit fry.The pepper chicken was too oily with the proportion of masala more than the chicken. The mutton liver was good but the quantity was so less that just one person can have it.The fish was something that satisfied out tastebuds which was crisply fired and good in portion too.The rabbit was loaded with bone pieces and it was not that great on taste.Overall the starters were average

For main course we ordered for chicken and turkey biriyani and also chicken fried rice. The biriyani base was almost the same in both chicken and turkey were the meat was cooked to perfection but the rice was meagre in taste and the trouble we had was with Raita and Gravy.Every single time we had to call the waiters to refill them and it was quite annoying that they don't keep an eye on it.The fried rice was nice served in a big bowl good for 2 people.

We had a good introduction but then things started to slow down later in service. It must be improved a lot to serve customers better in the future.Food was not bad but it's a decent place to dine in around this locality.

Good ambience !
Tried out both vegetarian and non vegetarian cuisines.
Barring a few dishes all others were top notch.
Can be bit noisy due to large people flocking during the weekends.

Kanappas is one place for proper chettinadu cuisine.Their biriyani is very flavourful and yummy. Their butterfly prawns is crispy on the outside and soft and just melts in your mouth on the inside. Top it off with a cold watermelon juice and their ice beeda..Perfect for a Sunday afternoon

Ordered takeaway of chicken curry, kannapa special, chettinad pepper chicken dry, butter naans and romali rottis. The naan was too small and too thin. Salt was a tad high in everything. Not much difference between chicken curry and kannapa special. But the taste nullified everything. Overall experience: good☺. Would recommend to a friend.

We group of six ppl went there for lunch..... Located exactly opposite of arcadia hotel on the avinashi road..... Ample car parking available..... Interiors are fine but gap between table and sofa is less.....

Coming to menu, vast number of items in the menu which comprises of south indian, north indian, chinese dishes..... So lots of options are there to choose from.....

Taste: soups was average, starters(chicken and fish) was excellent, main course was good, naan was very tough to chew, north indian gravies had south indian touch, meals was ok, mutton side dishes were good, desserts was good.....

Service was pretty quick and their suggestions were good. Ask them for the day's special.....

Pricing is fine..... But not cheap, but its fine for the quality......

Ambience 3.5/5
Taste 3.5/5
Service 4/5
Value for money 4/5

SPECIAL MENTION: water they serve was very tasty👍.
