Review Jalpaan - Coimbatore

A good place near RS Puram to have some delicious food. They have North Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. The food is by far awesome and there is no match. The staff are also friendly. However, the service is poor. It took them 45 minutes to bring the main course which is quite slow. There also seemed to be some confusion between the manager and the waiter who took the order.

This is R.S. Puram very close to the Mettupalayam road. Ambiance is good. They have some special dishes like Founde which is very tasty. We have tried a variety of their dishes and found what all we had was tasty and good. Finally after you finish your food they will serve you a pint of betel leaf juice which is good. Recently we find that they were not serving their continental dishes when we visited them twice so was disappointed we could not have their founde for which we went there.

Never eaten so many new dishes like the ones served here. Clean & hygienic place too.Worth a visit. Also palak chaat is worth trying. You get only veg food here. loved the food, ambience and hospitality. Bit cozy but worth it...

Very good and delicious north Indian food. Reasonably priced. Soups are good.Starters are excellent. Pizza was ok. Quantity of main course is a little less. Mocktails were ok. Indian breads are good. Their complimentary pan shots are really good.

After 2 years gap visited this place again and food quality is good. Loved basil tomato soup, baby corn Manchurian, dum briyani and fried rice. Cook has been changed now and what a way to start new Year.

Another wonderful experience here. Great evening spent with family accompanied with amazing, tasty food. A delight to visit Jalpaan everytime we come to Coimbatore. Nice service. Usually don't like places with multi cuisines on their list but these guy know how to balance the food. Decent food, good service, pleasent ambience. Perfect for family or corporate outings. We ordered the classic Fondue, Papad, Mexican Pizza and Green Apple Mojito. The Fondue was good and a new experience. One of the rare place where you will get to eat fondue.The Cheese used is fresh and tender cream smelling. The bread pieces are a little large in size, same thing goes for potato wedge size. They also do provide with some jalapeños , olives and one chutney. The papad was good and well presented. The pizza was good and mojito was average. The place is not crowded and has good hospitality. At the end they provided with a complimentary panshots which was really good in taste.

Had a chance to host my daughter's first birthday party here. Food was prepared as informed. The room provided for host the party was very neat, but we have to decorate on our own, still they will provide few vendor suggestions. But I choose on my own based on Google reviews. It's an AC hall, well maintained. The menu item was also good and the I received very good feedback my relatives who all attended. Hoping to visit this place often. Apart from this, I also been to the restaurant couple of times, the hospitality was good.one specific recommendation would be the pan shot which is unique from other restaurant.I loved it.

I had gone to the soft launch of Jalpaan ... I was amazed by tasting the complex flavours each dish had !! Plus the quality of food is amazing ... A must go restaurant with your family and frds!!

Visited this place for the first time today. Very good ambience, taste and service. The restaurant has very good option, with so many "Must Try" food items especially "Double Damaka Dessert" and "Paan Shots"...Overall a very good experience..Will definitely keep this restaurant on my favourites...

Been to CBE and Visted Jalpaan Coimbatore on 21st July night with the same expectation as Jalpaan Chennai. To my Surprise it was worst experience... very very poor Service.. Total embarrassing moment after taking cousins in CBE..

Delightful place for vegetrains craving for some good north indian cuisine in coimbatore. Makai seekh kebab is a must try starter item leaving one craving for more. Fondue options are tempting and inviting and are must trys. Potli biriyani was the best one i have ever had across the globe! Lovely mix of spices and aroma and the rice was cooked perfectly and once the potlinwas cut open by the waiter, you wouldnt wait till its cleaned up in one go. A complimentary paan shot was offered which helped very much. Fried ice cream and baked rasmalai were wonderful and made for memorable desserts. I am awaiting my next visit to the place and I looking forward to try their mexican and italian menu items. 5 stars to this place !

We went to Jalpaan after reading the reviews on Zomato. We ordered a Pani puri and found a cockroach in our food. The waiters did not say anything much as response and we immediately left the place.

Good ambience. But I went on a weekday and was highly disappointed to know that Italian food is not offered on weekdays. Weekends will be full so I took my family on a weekday, and I did not expect restaurant to say that it does not offer its speciality on weekdays. <br/>So we ended up ordering north indian and chinese, which were delicious, No doubt about it. The quantity also was good. Butta cigar is something to be tried without fail as it comes with a dip for each finger food . <br/>The sizzling brownie was a little roasted or something that it tasted bitter. Rest were all good.

The main reason we wanted to go to this place was to eat some Mexican and Italian food. Unfortunately, after reaching there they said they have no mexican and Italian food! In beverages, they didn't have any milkshakes or cold coffee. That was also disappointing. So as per the menu, they had mocktails, chats, north indian food. So in beverages we had kiwi surprise and spicy guava delight. The kiwi surprise was loaded with soda but had a right amount of kiwi flavor and sugar. The spicy guava drink had good amount of guava flavor in it but it was a little too spicy. The malai lassi that we ordered was thick and sweet and quite good in taste. In starters we ordered dahi puri, palak sev chat, multani paneer tikka, chili mushroom. The palak chat and dahi puri was good. Even the paneer tikka was soft and good. The chili mushroom was too spicy, salty, and oily. In main course, we ordered veg kolhapuri and makkai roti and plain roti. The curry was too spicy. Plain roti was burnt. The makkai roti was prepared well. We then ordered veg hakka noodles. It was prepared well. Lastly we ordered vanilla ice cream as there was no other interesting options. The ice cream was normal. Ambience was simple with black chairs and sofas. Rates are ok. Service was slow and we had to keep asking for things.

If you are looking for authentic north Indian food, this place is best for you. The ambience is perfectly fine for having good time at dinner/lunch. Staff members are also very courteous and polite.<br/>

This is like my most favourite restaurant in the city. The food and the place is just fab. The main highlight is Potli biriyani . It just tastes lile heaven and just melts in your mouth. Gambaza pasta , schezwan noodles, paneee lababdar gravy taste good too. Totally a lovely place with great ambience and service.<br/>

This place is a royal restaurant with your family and friends! You can take your people on a special occasion. Its bit costly but worth the money, staters and continental will have minimal quantity for sharing but main course will be more.

Had been to this lovely resturant for a friendz meet on a weekday(late review)<br/><br/>The chats were amazing from the pav fondue, pani puri, dahi puri, chat plater, gobi manchurian etc.<br/><br/>Main course had the paneer butter masala, veg kholapuri, veg jalfrzi, butter nan etc.. All tasted a lil similar, almost same gravy taste,thou not bad...<br/><br/>Complimentary pan drink, yeah and the smoking biscuits etc were good to end the dinning.. The combo should be mentioned for how many persons. If it is for one person the quantity is too high and if it for two persons the quantity is marginally low.. The pricing for the quantity is high.

Had been there for dinner, it's a little hard finding a parking spot on the street, but worth it. The ambience is a little so-so. But the cutleries are amazing. The food we ordered was a little on the spicier side throughout, my brother and I enjoyed it, but my parents found it a little too much. Be sure to mention if you don't like spicy food! The vegetable sheekh kebab was lacking, the potluck biryani was too oily The service was good and the paan shots were amazing.

The place was rated high in Zomato and I took my mother 80+ and my uncle 75+ for a meal after shopping . Though the ambience looked pretty average inside , the food was awesome . In Coimbatore have been to several multi cuisine places and would recommend this place highly for their food . Service quality is good but has scope for great improvement. Overall great experience and not too very expensive. My mother and uncle too liked the food .

Was craving for authentic north indian food and Jalpaan was recommended by all my friends. Had the papad basket first. It came with five different dips and masalas with assorted papads and fryums. Lip smacking 👌 started with the main course next with Paneer Tikka Lababdaar, Ratan Manjusa and Dal Jalpaan. I have never had such tasty food in my life. Will definitely recommend Jalpaan to all my friends. The service, ambience and the paan shot were the icing on the cake. PERFECT LUNCH! 😍

And ####creamy cheese soup### it's my fewretThe food is very very tasty. Had the Almond corn shorba, Masala Mafia pasta, Napoli pizza and Litchi Rabdi. Didnt expect the food to be this delicious. The service was very fast and the waiters were polite. One of the best restaurants I've ever visited. 👌<br/>

Visited Jalpaan for the first time. Was totally amazed by the food, ambience and service. Had the Virgin Mojito, Mexican Pizza and Potli biryani. The Mojito was made to perfection. Sorry to say. It was one of the worst dining experience. We were there Sunday night. We had to wait and ended up calling someone to wait on us. The orders were a nightmare and their taste and timing worse. It took 11 people to finish our dinner when the order for the 12th person came in. Same drink was made differently for each of us on the table. Waited for 20 minutes atleast for a fork after 2 reminders. Overall Bad experience. Made a note not to visit again.

Read reviews,wanted to try the restaurant from long.Ordered manchow soup and pepper paneer. Manchow soup tastes good but was quite spicy,especially when asked for less spicy. Looking forward to dine in.

I love North Indian food. But most places do a bad job of it. So I always look for places flocked by north Indians to look for the genuine tasting version. This restaurant made the cut. Their ambience is so so but their presentation and tastes made up for it. Love their tumblers especially :)
