Visited bike n barrel yesterday , a great place with amazing ambience and good food and even better crowd, I'm from delhi which has more options and yet loved every bit of my experience. Some really pretty ladies on the floor last night

Well maintained and beautiful place with plenty of seatings. The pub is underground and the entry is quaint and classy with a glass door and stairs. The waiters are smart and fast. They brought us our orders pretty soon. We had a couple of beers and their Mysore chilli chicken. The chicken was splendid. The kf beer was ok (like kf at other places in TN). We liked the music the DJ was playing. The sound was optimum and not super loud. The choice of songs was careful and well thought. The dancefloor was adequate with nice lights.
A nice cozy place in a cellar kind of setting. A section of the Residency hotel in Coimbatore. A winding steps on the right side of property will lead you to this den. Live DJ and lot of poster frames greet u. Fusion of few of the starters and varied presentation, delightful taste flavour is what you witness though felt a bit high priced.
Bikes and Barrels is an English Pub located inside the Residency Hotel on Avinashi Road. Pub is slightly off located so you will need to ask directions from guard to reach the Pub.
Ambience is out of the world, located underground where you will not have any sense of its location. The beautiful staircase leads to one floor below, with amazing posters and big wooden door.
Pub runs an amazing DJ , mostly playing popular English tracks. DJ is responsive and caters for choices.
All popular Beers and Liqueurs are available at the pub and at really competitive rates. Complimentary snacks are more than enough. Ordered a pasta along with Drinks which turned out to be decent. Staff is responsive however service is slightly slow .
Overall a great experience.

The set up is very impressive.
It was a party from one of my friends that took me there. The ambience of this place is very nice, especially the bikers feel and the music. The drinks we had were pretty normal, not much to say, although they were pricey. As a snack they only provide you peanuts which ia quite unusual in Coimbatore. My categorized ratings are below.

The name and ambience made us visit this place. Its a great place to spend time with friends. We ordered beer and chicken starters. They were pretty good. Might visit the place again someday.

Been here with a friend when I visited Coimbatore months back. One of the few good places for girls to hang out. We had two cocktails, a starter and a pasta. The food was quite good and nothing to frown about in the drink.
The service was as well good since we went here on a week day and could find hardly anyone around. Would definitely visit this place on a weekend if I get an opportunity.

The weekend crowd is pretty cool. The sound tracks played and DJ'ing is always great in this place. I can tell it's THE ONLY place in Coimbatore where you can let loose on the dance floor, even though the dance floor is pretty small. The beer varieties are very very few. They just have kingfishers, fosters and Corona. Guys, please get European beers into ur menu. No bar is complete with a super chilled Heineken or a dark Guinness. The really irritating part is, though the music is really good it's REALLY REALLY LOUD!!!! U can't speak to the person next to u. Literally can't! Well, it's a great place to chill, relax and shake your hips for a Friday/Saturday night crawl

I decided to visit this place since all the online articles were calling it Coimbatore's best bar. It's located in the basement of The Residency, and you need to take a roundabout way to reach it.
I wouldn't call it a British-style pub exactly. I felt it was a mix of British and old-school American. There were beer barrels for pub tables. I loved the seating options. There are quite a few seats for single patrons, in addition to really comfortable couches and glass-partitioned coves. The Royal Enfield hanging from the ceiling certainly gives the place a dashing touch. I went there on a Friday night, right at opening time, and was disappointed to see only one or two other patrons, even until 9 PM. Shame really, because the DJ was really good. They have a dress code but I'm not sure if it's enforced because I saw guys in cargo shorts. The ladies' dress code is "suitably attired", whatever that means. There's a tiny dance floor in front of the DJ as well.
Their whiskey menu is really extensive, heavy on the Scotch and American varieties. The cocktails are limited. I had an Edition Sour, and was surprised to know rum and red wine mixed well. I followed it up with a Lychee Blossom which was quite bland.
They have a starter menu for food, prepared by Afghan Grill next door. I ordered the Lebanese mixed grill platter and was frankly disappointed. The options were banal and quite shoddily prepared. In fact, there was nothing Lebanese about it, it was plain Indian subcontinental.
The prices are quite high in my opinion, considering the quality of the food and drink, and the fact Coimbatore is not a metro city.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this place quite honestly.
It was a Friday night and my husband and I got dressed up, ready to explore the city's popular night spot.
Firstly we were very impressed with the interiors of residency towers. (much better than the Chennai one!)
We entered at around 9 and realized we might have been early so we expected the place to get filled up by 10 or so (since they shut down by midnight). The bartender said Fridays and saturdays are the busiest nights (!!) but when we left at 11 15 we were still the only ones in the pub and there seemed to be no crowd in sight!
The Dj spent around half an hour trying to make the lights and speakers work and we were getting restless cos he was yet to start playing his music.
Finally he got the music going at around 9 45.
I'll give this place a 4 star for the price of the food and drink. The drinks are strong and the price includes taxes. Which means I'm not in a big shock when I finally see the bill. Food was quite nice as well, though it took time to arrive. There is an unlimited supply of peanuts and chips. The place is clean and the Dj plays pretty decent music when he can finally get the speakers going!
The best place to hang out during weekend, can relax our body and mind by boozing and having fun with good music and dj over there. I strongly recommend for your visit to have good food, service and ambience too.. 👏👏👏🥰😍😍
Had a beautiful dinner by the pool. Great ambience. The service was superb.
Chilled and relaxed atmosphere.. luxurious at that! Good menu. We didn't go with finger foods so can't comment on that. We were happy with the complimentary peanuts and nachos. The dance floor is empty so if you're looking for action (I mean clubbing feels) then this is not the place. But if you're good to lounge around on comfy seating with good music and conversation, then this I'd recommended B&B
What I loved is you can head straight to Afghan Grill right after for some delicious dinner and call it a night ✅💯
