Review Hotel Junior Kuppanna - Coimbatore

Amazing place! It’s a delight to eat the various non- vegetation food that they offer here! As a vivid Biriyani lover, the Biriyani here is just top notch! It’s a perfect place to have those one of a kind family dinner or lunch! There are both AC/ non-AC service available! They have a separate take away counter outside! Also, they have a big parking facility available! So that’s good! The only con I’ve seen is, the food is a bit on the expensive side here.. but, from my perspective? It’s totally worth it! I would recommend this place to all the meat eaters out there!

Briyani is very good and waiters working there are so respectful . You can ask them to suggest the food which would be good. Briyani with the chicken gravy which they give is really so delicious.

Little bit costly, but the food is superb. Clean . Near Annapoorna hotel Bus stop - Bharathi nagar Buses are available from here to ukkadam and gandhipuram.

Standard Kuppanna taste. Service was good.The hotel was really spacious and there was adequate parking area. Hygienic condition in the wash room was not up to the mark. There was too many flies inside the restaurant, which was another let off. Wonder as to whether they could not afford a fly trap !!

It's the only branded restaurant in the area. The food is of the same quality like other franchises in the city. It lacks parking facility but it can be overcome as the road is bit wider in the area. But disadvantage is most of the food served here are pre- prepared, so one cannot expect a special dish or uniqueness in this outlet.

Food was good and tasty. But many options was not there. Also the environment was very bad, smelling and dark. But the staffs were very friendly, they took very good care. To conclude, this is not that first option for a friendly or family get together.

Finger licking taste...... authentic tamilnad style food.... mutton dishes was amazing, Prawn pepper semi dry steals d show from our list. Good customer services.. Since we been on week day dinner it was not crowded n had quick services. Suggestions Nethili chilli was too oily Dnt order more than 1 dish of pepper semi dry variety all tastes the same Soups are pathetic: 1. aatu kaal soup tasted as hot water dint get d flavor of soup 2. Chicken and veg soup too dint taste good

Top spot for Non Vegans! Especially if you're fond of chettinadu food. Their lamb roast was yummy! Also the cold payasam was something unique that didn't taste anything like it so far. A place for distinct flavor which does Justice for the price tag they put on food!

One of my favourite places for non-veg in Coimbatore. Just make sure you order your items in one go, they will take a while to serve food. They use good pepper and no colours. Unique taste. Though many of my friends prefer their biryani, I like their meals. Their kaldosai and idli are good in the evenings. Also their payasam is very good if you like to eat sweet after lunch. Other than the occasional slow service times, their food is real good. A bit pricey too, but that's okay considering the quality of food.

Located at the FCI road-Sathy Road junction... Authentic South Indian food.. We tried the Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani with chicken anda fry.. It was awesome. Also tried out the pallipalayam chicken.. Finally, topped it off with Lemon soda.. Apart from the food, the hospitality was good.. Reasonable pricing.. Worth a visit with friends..

South Indian non-veg restaurant . More of a kongu and Chettinad fusion. One of the best briyani and mutton options. I tried in this franchise in many location and none disappointed me. My favorites are mutton dosa, mutton briyani and kudal fry. I will not miss this combination. Also nalli gravy is also good.

Who wants delicious food and also they don't care about that cost one can definitely visit this place it's situated near NH maraimalai Nagar. They serving mittton briyani is special tastes of kongu area like. So one time taste and comments here

We went here for lunch and ordered chicken Biryani half plate, it was tasty but the proportions were less there was only one piece of chicken in the Biryani, it wasn't at stomach filling but it was tasty, but a little expensive for the the proportions given.

The quantity of any food here is not all worth for money. I ordered fish chukka and plain briyani. Fish chukka was so less and it was completely oily. And the briyani i didnot expect like this! i m totally disappointed. Please give the food worth for our money.

Food is good. But all quantities are less. Either you have to buy two or settle for one. Suggestion would be to add a slightly higher quanutity options.

They are cheating people while ordering online. They are charging high but not even worth Quality and quantity (Eg. Mutton biriyani 220 INR but there is no single piece of mutton). I ordered one and they sent another one. Very disappointed.

I ordered veg meals which was 155 rs and there was no rasam , curd , and sweet . It was such a bad experience. They are charging so much just for little quantity dal and tamarind gravy . Kindly do not order veg meals from this restaurant.

Was in the Ganapathy region for some work. Driver suggested JK for a quick meal. And quick it was - good service in good time. <br/>Our driver enjoyed his full meal with egg curry and my colleague vouches for the mutton biryani that he had. Having had a heavy breakfast I settled for a parotta curry - just right (1 piece with gravy).<br/>The place is not as fancy as the other JKs we’ve visited but it served the purpose perfectly.

Love love love this place. For a person trying authentic tamilian food this place was a feast. Loved all the dishes. Chicken Pallipalayam was so good I just couldn't stop eating it. I was always a fan of kerala parota crispy yet fluffy . But after these soft , fluffy and flaky parota from Tamil Nadu I am now a convert. The staff were warm and smiling too. So even with a long delay worth serving our biryani, we did not mind because of how sweet they were. Definitely a must visit.

The biryani quality and taste is too good. Their chicken anda fry is something to fall in love with.

Just hype. Except the biryani, none of the dishes were tasty and they are all overpriced. The service is worst - cutlery wasn't even washed properly. They didn't even have proper air conditioning/ventilation. They are just milking customers based on the brand name.

BEWARE OF JUNIOR KUPPANNA<br/>If you order empty briyani. They will serve you something like roadside Omni vehicle tomato rice and charge you 180 rupees for it. Worst experience. Taste is very bad. When I told them that briyani don't taste good waiters we're laughing at each other.

Not received what I have ordered

Gravy is not sufficient since for three Briyani how come a little gravy would be enough .. Try to give gravy a little more in parcel .. Every time I face the same issue ..

I have ordered 2 non veg meals today, and u have delivered 2 meals with 2 packed rice, 2 packet sambar, 2 packet rasam, 1 curd boxed,2 poriyal boxed, is it a non veg meal, keeping 1 packet garam gravy. If zomato is offering 50% discount to spoil ur name or ur intend to spoil ur good will. Useless lunch. thanks so much for ur non veg meal.

3rd Feb, 830pm<br/>One word...not worth the money u spend. <br/>I have never been so critical about any joint where I relive my passion for food. <br/>JK have 2 other branches in coimbatore which are running full house on even weekdays, in weekend u have a waiting time of atleast 10 min before u get a place to dig in! But here , only 2 seats are.occupied on a weekend. <br/>That was not a.major concern for me though...and i ordered the signature dish..chicken pallipalayam( juicy chicken with coconut gravy and cut coconuts) , veeshi porotta( a cross breed of northern naan and kerala porotta) and mutta poriyal(basically burji). Sad to say..none was exciting enough. Particularly unhappy with the CP which is supposed to be their best.CP is supposed to have atleast 300.gm of chicken pieces with meat - i felt cheated when i got 250gm but they were bones and the taste was not even touching distance of their preparations in other places<br/>A small advise to the JK management team...ur name is at stake at this joint , its better to.introspect.and.correct the stuff , else anyways u might have to think of closure but for a first timer @ JK , they will never ever set foot at ur other branches. Please.do something as I am.a big fan of JK 's cuisine

Nice location and lots of staffs. It is not as good as Ramnagar branch but still the signature dishes like Pallipalayam both Fish/Chicken is always good. Biriyani is hot especially during lunch. A large outlet and a huge space to dine comfortably. Needs to maintain consistency as equally in par with the main branch.

Once of the worst hotels in all of tamilnadu with a very high cost and very low quality. Even the lowest of hotels  in coimbatore will offer a beautiful cusine . As a food freak I will never recommend junior kuppana hereafter to anyone.. its a pure waste of money with no quality.

Overpriced biryani, overpriced starters, overpriced everything. If the taste of the biryani was ok then i probably wont mind the high price but for an average taste its simply not worth it. I have no idea why boneless chicken 65 is listed under 'Kids special' bcoz even adults would like to eat it with their permission of course. Considering the 'with bone' option more like 'less meat bcoz we used the meat for the boneless' we have no option but to order boneless chicken.

Good customer bonding. Good Taste. Good Ambiance. Ample Car parking. I strongly recommend for junior kuppanna briyani. When compare to other branches ganapathy is better.

Seriously they have lost the traditional touch ,taste is same but the quality is not they serve before! Too expensive can be moderate, for a Non veg meal Rs180 is way more high. Jus a feed back if you wish consider.<br/>

Not upto the mark comparing other outlets... I have been to chennai outlet and gandhipuram outlet... But this is the bad experience i had... Prawns and chicken were old and gravy was with full cocount oil... Couldn't eat anything....

Hello. Junior Kuppana's taste so good. But I am not going to speak about taste in this review. Its about their poor service and rude behaviour in Ganapathy Branch.<br/><br/>Today (09-08-2016) by 8 pm i gave an order for parcel. They billed the order and I payed too. Within seconds from billing my sister's little kid told that he didnt want an particular item in that parcel order. So I requested the billing person to delete that particular item alone. But the billing person told that we will not delete or alter the billed items once billed. I asked them why? Its billed just some seconds before and why cant you just delete? He said that Manager is not there, Owner is not there... And I asked for Manager's Contact number to sort out the issue. But the billing person suddenly got tempted and started to respond rudely and with an change in tone saying that do what you can... <br/><br/>I felt really bad for their response. I didnt really expect such type of persons from Junior Kuppana. <br/><br/>I just asked for deleting an item in bill... Is it a Sin? Is Junior Kuppana going to face an high loss for my request.. Shame on you JK.. Try to respect people JK.

Excellent location in right place. Bit expensive but worth for its quality and service. Staffs are friendly. Very good ambiance with car parking facilities. Delicious kongu style gravy and unique taste of anda fry.

After relishing so many dishes from the Gandhipuram outlet we thought of giving a try in this outlet and we were highly disappointed Overly prized food. Quantity and quality did not match their prize. We ordered mutton biriyani, chicken biriyani, nethili fry, nalli varuval, fried rice. All tasted below average. Nethili fry was just some coating on a raw fish, mutton was not cooked properly. Staffs were not customer friendly . There was no AC at all , even after repeatedly asking for it ..it was not taken care.

Excellent curd rice. Just loved it. Though thought the portion size Was small. Payasam was yummy but portion sizes was too small. The unobtrusive service was welcome

Junior kuppanna at ganapathy. Located near Kumaraguru college. I have been to various JKs in Chennai. Here the staff offered me to try the famous Kari Dosa of Madurai. I should say how well prepared and tasty it looked. Thanks to the waiter for proposing this dish. Well maintained ample space and good car parking spot. I Wud definitely recommend this to people who wanna try out South Indian food and more so The Kari Dosa for the feel of Madurai

Relatively new and near by Annapoorna. Visited quite some times. They should keep high standards in quality and taste as annapoorna is just in walking distance. I found the ambience good, big place and visible from the road.<br/><br/>When it comes to service they miss out. Service is very slow for dine in and take away both. Its a franchise and not owned by original Junior Kupanna.<br/><br/>Taste it nowhere near to original Junior Kupanna and food items are also little different. Seems like they are running own hotel with Kupanna name. Taste and Quantity is what they need to improve. Love the food and the dessert after the meal! A restaurant with decent menus and foods to enjoy! But the best part is the dessert! Love the sweet porridge and carrot halwa.

Sorry to write this review, this is how bad the experience we had today! We actually wend to Annaporna next to this hotel to complete our lunch. The Service was bad, the food was not hot, there is no taste to the food. One of my friend ordered Veg Biriyani and it is the worst i have ever had, no taste, no salt and it was also not hot at all. For the cost they are charging the biriyani was not even made of good quality rice (i am not talking of Basmathi or Seeragasamba this is plain rice with no flavor). Very very expensive. Another colleague ordered Pallipalayam Fish (the fist was fresh) but the dish tastes very bad. We only went to this place due to good reviews from Friends on the other outlets. Now i would not even dare to go to the other restaurants.

The most unfortunate lunch experience ever.. <br/>Service staff seems uninterested to give tissue when requested, food taste is appaling and quality doesn't suit up to their ambiance. The food cost is monstrously high - 172 rupees for a lunch? You can better drive to Haribhavanam and have a sumptuous, delicious food and still save 50 rupees.<br/><br/>Overall an awful experience. Strongly recommend to avoid this restaurant.<br/>

Just loved the very tasty chicken pallipalayam and soo soft parattas. I was a little late as their kitchen closes for a break at 4 pm, so just a little bit disappointed that I cudn't have more.<br/><br/>So, basically if you want to feel the best authentic non vegetarian food of Tamil Nadu, this is the best place. Ambience of the place is awesome. Prices are a little over the mark but very well justified by the quality of food. Surely going there again and ...again...

I have been to many outlets of Junior Kuppanna and had a great expectation when they opened up this branch. To my dismay, had a very bad experience yesterday.<br/><br/>We ordered chicken soup and it was below average. The Vanjaram fry had too much salt in it. When we asked for few of the items listed in the menu, they said none of those items were available. My dad was totally disappointed and we had to walk away in the middle of the meal.

This was one restaurant for which I was waiting to give review for.<br/><br/>It's a new restaurant in town. <br/>Great ambiance.<br/>Very good service.<br/>Very very tasty food.<br/><br/>This restaurant serves the best food with authentic taste like we taste in chettinad places. All delicious food varieties.<br/><br/>One draw back is the rates. Too high. Buy still can tolerate for the heavenly taste. <br/>
