Review Salt And Pepper - Coimbatore

Among the most amazing temples I've ever been to. The location is incredibly beautiful and calming. The presence of nature is felt. The top hill's view looks to be really amazing. The location is bounded on three sides by hills. If you are visiting the location, make sure that you walk past the stairs and stop at the temples along the way. The Siddhar Cave, which is located slightly to the left of the temple, is well worth a visit. It is highly recommended that you visit the temple if you are visiting Coimbatore.

Good temple with ancient history. Had to wait almost for 2 hours to get to mountain top car parking area since they allow only about 10 vehicles at a time to top of the hill due to parking space issue. Need to climb some steps even after reaching parking point. Temple has a huge queue over weekend. 50rs spl darshan will offer the flexibility to finish darshan quickly.

The temple is a small temple on the hill. All the services were good according to me. There is a temple provided bus service that connects downhill to uphill and the bus only costs 10 ₹. The hair donation is also free but there is some unaccounted money taken (Mostly around 200 ₹). The waiting time is very low in normal seasons. There are special tickets which are 50₹ per person. The stairs are also good but it's a little uncomfortable and I would not recommend it unless you are not able to climb stairs easily. The temple has a very good environment and the cleanliness of the temple was good. The stairs close approximately 5pm and the last bus service from uphill to downhill is 8pm. So reaching there before these times would be reasonable. There is a good amount of parking uphill for cars and bikes. Definitely would recommend for any type of transport public and private. I have tried this temple in all different holidays and the wait times are always very low unless there is an abishekam going on. Where people have to wait for the abishekam to end. It mostly takes 40mins for the abishekam to end.

It's an awesome and blessed feeling. After missing to visit the temple once because of timing issue we had the chance to visit the temple now. Had a fulfilling Darshan. Don't forget to go the Paambaatti sittar temple very powerful aura. Try to climb the stairs u feel great .

I recommend using ordinary bus instead of the red one to go this temple which cost more from Gandhipuram bus stand And i recommend all to take the steps to claim this mountain to reach this temple Steps are around (800-900) Those who can't able claim use the bus provide by the temple management There are two counter to enter this temple one was free and another one cost 50 rupees Which get you to see murgan up close

A divine place to have great darshan of Sri Muruga , situated on a small hillock with about 700 steps to climb . Vehicle are allowed till 800 steps . Last few steps needs to covered by walking . During my visit there was heavy crowd as it’s season of Ayyappa devotees an Sri Melmarthavur devotees taking pilgrimage to many places . The weather was present . Visited in Dec 2023

Marudhamalai Murugan temple us such a divine place... Roads are really well constructed and the temple organisers are very organised in the way in which they handle the crowd. Vehicles and parking are available up in the hill so you don't have to walk in the hill

Nice temple - you have to walk a lot of stairs up - but you get everywhere fruits on the way. When you have good weather you have a nice view from the top.

One of the most beautiful temples I've visited. The place is so soothing and divine. You can feel the presence of God and his grace. Have a proper parikarma of the temple and bow in front of Lord Murugana and his two wives. You can see the place from far away in the night. The beauty and the presence of the place just leaves you in peace and enlightened. The place is surrounded by hills from three sides. If you're visiting the place, go by the stairs and visit the temples on the way to complete your journey. You should also visit the siddhar cave slightly down from the left of the temple. If you're coming to Coimbatore, you should definitely visit the temple and ask Lord Murugan for his grace.

As usual the best murugan temple in Coimbatore. The roads are renovated recently and it's a nice drive to the hill now.

Worst experience here.... Once we went there for lunch at 1... We got the food at 3.30... There was an elderly couple who ordered food and waited with us.. He was diabetic and they got into fight for the delay of the food... The staffs are least bothered about customers... Price is high too.... Not worth the money and our time

Went for dinner yesterday and ordered egg kothu paratha and plain grill chicken.
.AC was very cold when asked to reduce they said it cannot be done and was asked to move to a different place.
They served paratha without gravy and raitha. Had to repeatedly ask for the same and when it finally came we were almost done with it.
Grill chicken was watery and like Chiken Manchurian when enquired they said it is their style of cooking grill 🤐. Atlast when we paid the bill I saw a proper grill chicken in the neighbourhood and on further probe found out they had infact given me pepper grill.

Pathetic service.

Atmosphere is great.
Service is slow.
Food is average.
Half button biryani cost around 110 is not worth enough and sufficient. Tandoori is good. We couldn’t find any paneer in paneer fried rice(worst).

Salt & Pepper is a recently opened Restaurant where the Nilgiris supermarket was, along Mettupalayam Road , near Thudiyalur. It is an added attraction to the burgeoning area where the residential gated complex Sreevatsa Gardens is located. Very next door for a walk-in or take away or door delivery , a boon to the residents there. The premises are well-lit and cheerful with potted plants and shrubs at the entrance, a welcome feature. The restaurant is essentially family friendly with an aquarium box inside , well decorated and spacious. However, an eyesore, literally , is an unrelenting blinking, but blinding lighting system above the portrait of possibly an owner or a family member, facing the customers !! They should stop this visual nuisance forthwith !!

The restaurant is open from 9 to midnight , serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, veg and non-veg, North & South Indian and Chinese and a few other western fare are served.. The prices are pocket-friendly and the dishes are fairly large and tasty. They refuse to accommodate snacks during lunch time and meals on banana leaves on plates are served. The cutlery and crockery are decent and unless asked for forks are not on the table. The service is fairly ok and friendly but durung crowded time, slack to the point of annoyance., probably due to under-staffing.

Salt and Pepper has added glitter and good fare for the family around Thudiyalur and a visit is worth its while, especially when one is loathe to drive into town wards to SaiBaba Colony or RS Puram.
Hunger Struck
I visited this restaurant on a fine sunny day for a lunch with my friends ...Ambience looks pleasing to be chilled out on a sunny day ...
We had Chicken Briyani, Chicken vindaloo, veg meals, Mushroom noodles, Garlic Chicken and Mutton chukka ...
Briyani tasted bitter 😣 with more spices ...
Mutton chukka and garlic chicken was very spicy that you have to take a sip of water for each piece ...
And I am fine with the other dishes ...
Price is absurd ...
Service could be improved ...
Good atmosphere maybe is the only thing that is okay with this restaurant.. Menu is the usual phenomenon for a quick bite place.. The cream fried mushrooms I got were burnt. Others were fine. Was not impressed with the Coffee either. Service could be improved

Chicken biryani can with only one small piece and they charged 220Rs, taste and service were bad. its not worth even for 1 rating out of 10.

Worst service and cooking. Ordered for chilli chicken and chilli Gobi... They have fried in oil which is already used for cooking fish fry..... I could only sense the odour of fish in chilli Gobi and Chilli chicken....
