Review Boomerang Beach Restaurant And Bar - Colva

Victoria Holmgren
When I'm in Colva, there's really only one place to go and that's here! Visited Boomerang for the first time in 2015 and immediately fell in love with the environment, the atmosphere and the good food. It's marginally more expensive than a beach shack, but the quality makes it easily worth it! Excellent food and drinks! Also take the opportunity to eat some of the local dishes, you won't regret it. Other than that, Peter and his staff are fantastic. You feel well taken care of and like one in the family. Being at Boomerang feels like coming home to a dear friend! Many thanks Peter for my recent stay with you and an extra big thanks to Rawat he's a gem! See you again soon!

Sunset on the horizon of a calm sea is a site to behold. It's beautiful and has a calming effect on your mind. Orange rays reflecting on the water surface creates amazing site..... amazing food... cocktails...

I visited boomerang recently. I just loved the vibes. We ordered seafood platter and it was delicious and well cooked. Staff is very friendly and helpful... Awesome fire show I loved it.

One of the top experiences in Goa, great stuff that took care of everything, hookah at a reasonable price and a great possibility to sleep on the beach 🏝️ Best wishes to Peter and all the stuff here, I will come back😁

I was surprised to find this beautiful place in Colva. it had delicious food at very reasonable prices almost seems cheaper than the other shacks on the beach. Very good variety in food and drinks. Also the ladies toilets were spotlessly clean. I definitely recommend this place, It’s easy to spend hours in this place. Peter, the owner is also very helpful and makes you feel so much at home.

Good vibe and well seating arrangement. Serving inside and outside of the bar-restaurant facing the sea. Different types of delicious foods, especially sea food 😋.

EXPRESS REVIEW : Good place to chill DETAILED REVIEW : ♦️BUDGET : ₹700 for 1 ♦️FOOD : Ordered the calamari and prawn starter and the Mango smoothie. My started was served with only Calamari. ♦️ LOCATION+ AMBIENCE: located on Colva beach a little away from the bus station. They have a bar as well. ♦️SERVICE : laid back service which is ok for a beach shack. Instagram : @parameshwar.tudu

What a great find! The friendly people really made our day. Ceysu went over and above to make sure we were comfortable. Peter joined us for some laughs and good conversation. The food was amazing! Definitely coming back and highly recommend.

One of the best go to place for North Goa trip! Exceptionally well behaved staff! Just charges of vat (22%) is kind of weird!.
Mandy
Staff is very attentive. We (3 women) feel very safe, despite Public Beach in Front. The staff reacts immediately to inappropriate behaviour by locals. Food and drinks good value and good quality. Very pleasant music in the restaurant. Toilets are clean. I can highly recommend the restobar.

Great place on colva beach! Very good ambience, food and service. Ceysu took care of everything really well right from the beach umbrella to towels to drinks at the right time. Peter kept us entertained as well :) Definitely go there if in the area!

One of the best beach side cafés/bars on Colva beach. Nice food, good service.

It's an amazing place right on Colva Beach. Peter the owner is an amazing person. Very courteous and customer focussed. The staff overall is amazing. Kids wanted to dance and they made the arrangements and we had fun. Good is Lip smacking and delicious. The spread of drinks and food is nice. A great place to be when in South Goa for the evening food.

Loved the shack! Beautiful view! And service is impeccable. Ask for Mahendra! Worth it!

The owner and staff just runs around foreigners, pathetic ideology!! Bad food, No good vibes from the place.!

We found a fly in the ketchup and the chicken wings we ordered tasted as if the chicken had gone bad. I couldn't eat more than one bite of the chicken. Kindly look into the matter as soon as possible.

Staff is lazy, careless and rude. Don't go there and waste your money.
They behave as if we were eating for free. Also, discriminatory towards Indians when it comes to Beach beds. If you want to save your day, don't visit this place.

Prices of the items didn’t met the food and service expectations. We used to come here whenever we are in Goa and the changes are really noticeable. Service is inattentive, slow and doesn’t even show interest. Even the Manager/Owner didn’t even paid attention to us. Was it because we are with the locals? Well he showed great attention to the foreigners, he glanced at us and just walked off. Now wonder the staffs are doing the same.

We ate multiple meals here, and were satisfied with everything. Try the Goan sausage pizza, the Goan sausage naan, the fish fingers, and the Pina Coladas. The service is fantastic (ask for Rawat), the area is clean with multiple tables as well as sun beds. The toilets are clean and there is an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and salty water.
You can check more details about where to eat in South Goa at my blog nooranandchawla.com

Honestly had my worst experience ever in a restaurant.
The staff is soo freaking rude and unprofessional.least helpful.
We ordered chicken sandwich , house fries ,chicken chilly.
The chicken sandwich was blant.
The fries had no salt and were dripping with oil.
The chicken chilly was overcooked.
Everything was taking so much time.
Bad experience.

In which world would a person go to eat where the staff is not at all hospitable even extremely rude. The staff treated as if i was eating for free there. Even the cashier i don’t know in which egoistic world was he in. They weren’t even listening.
Finally when someone heard me, i wanted to eat Chinese food. But unfortunately, the waiter said Chinese chef was off that day.
I wanted to eat something heavy there but with all their guidance it changed my mind.
I decided to eat some light snacks and head to a decent and better restaurant.
But i still had some courage in me to eat there.
I ordered Babycorn Chilli, Mix Veg Sandwich & Sex on the Beach. The food was fine.
There were some foreigners and almost the whole staff was running after them as if they were distributing money.
There was no sign of decency among the staff, there was no discipline there.
Rubbish service.
It is so disappointing to say this type of service would let down the venture some day.
The waiter name is ‘Rawat’.

Bill provided was hand-written without GST included in it. When asked why we're not getting printed bill with GST as we wanted to pay tax then got to know simple reason that it is good for customer as they've to pay less money (without tax). Seems they were not interested in paying tax to Indian Government and just trying to satisfy those customers who are happy with that bill which is without tax. Though food was good.
Mudit Taneja
Total Waste of an afternoon. Pathetic food quality
Pizza, pasta, fish, chicken, sandwich - not a single thing was palatable. Cold coffee ordered was all froth and despite pointing it out more than once , nothing was done about it
Owner was sitting right across our table and did not even bother to ask for feedback.
Terrible experience. There are so many better places in and around colva. AVOID THIS ONE !

Stumbled into a Karaoke night and had a great night. Good service, great food and wonderful company, we returned like a boomerang the next morning!!

This place is dope period😎so i am not much of a fish lover but let me tell you the pomfret was too good, just the right amount of frying and crispness, keep munchin while you are drinking, you could also try prawns if you have a taste for it🤗There are times when the food looks good and tastes even better, this was that time👌I've liked this place for quite some time now,if you have a big group just ask the bar tender guy for a discount,he might just give you 1+1 free cocktails,i had both alcoholic and virgin mojito, the mint leaves will be super fresh and drink would taste even better, the screwdriver will work just fine to get you a bit tipsy👌
You might have to walk a bit from the main entrance area but it's worth it,ahhh and the volleyball court too,its fells so good to play on the beach
BE ADVISED DONT PLAY WITH THE OWNER HE'S A PRO!!😂😂😂

After walking around 1km from our beach resort we found the so called famous restaurant boomerang....and what service we got ..a big zero..no fish items was available at that time except tiger prawns...so we settled for a drinks , a tuna salad and french fries..
But the tuna dish was so rubbish that we couldn't even finish 1/10th portion..so didn't order any other dish and walk away.. very disappointed

For somebody who hails from the concrete jungle...It doesn't get better than boomerang! The setting by the beach...The subtle touch of goan cusine and a warm host! From 2006 to 2013...This is a spot i can not miss when i am in Goa..

If you happen to be there...Among the exotic sea food that you can't get enough of..You must try the tandoori pizza (it can knockout the best of pizzas any urban city has to offer)
Suffer break with juicy chicken pieces along with lack olives home made sauce and fried up in a wood fried oven...Accompanied with the crashing waves and mild sea breeze...It just doesn't get better than this.
Wasim Raza
Sober place by the beach, food is average!
Service and hospitality is pathetic. They will not allow you take pictures or make vidoes ,also if you are a bachelor ,you cannot dance .
So drop the plan bachelors!
Priyanka Raut
The shacks were ok , food has no varieties and not so good in taste, but a bit costly.Service is very poor, they are there to serve only to Portuguese or foreigners if you are an Indian they will not treat you well. Just put a board over there "Indians Not allowed", we won't give a shitt to you guys.
Gauri Kulkarni
A big fraud!! they will not give a printed bill and ask u to pay cash to save on GST!! they dont entertain card payments. so whatever u pay is black money..
corrupt owner and corrupt place..will not go again

If you are an Indian, please do not visit this Indian restaurant. Irony is that it is on Indian Soil, and they ignore and on top of that they behave very rudely with Indian Customers. I have frequented Goa from last 5 years and this was my first visit to Colva Beach. We assumed this restaurant to be very enjoying a day before when we were on a midnight visit to the beach. This caught our eyes but we were absolutely wrong. Racism exists in Goa and it only exist in this restaurant. I hope the owners read this and take appropriate action to improve or else let it be how it has always been for the Racist Mindset.

Located at the end of Colva beach, this restobar is a must visit for every tourist, who likes to enjoy a great view of the sea with a bottle of beer in hand. Apart from the variety of drinks that are there to choose from, there are lots of food and variety of other delicacies to choose from especially their classic Goan fish platters served with salads, finger chips and butter garlic rice.
Owner is very friendly with foreign customers. Being Indian you may feel ignored at times relative to the special attention given to foreigners. However from a business model it makes sense to focus on foreign currency.

2 days and 2 different experiences of the same place ...located right on Colva beach this shack has lot to offer. The live band day was great on 29th dec with good crowd. The 30th karaoke was bit disappointing with service slow. Sea food experience is ok. Beer out of stock was some issue. I would recommend this place for guys group only . Food can be better, ambience is good

A niche shack at colva beach. We went there on our last holiday to goa on a weekday! It was full for that time of the day( early evening) ! We just wanted to kick start our evening so only ordered starters and cocktails. The Liiit was awesome and the honey chicken was good! The staff is a little slow and semi biased towards foreigners! Rest all Gud! A lil expensive for a shack though!

A good restaurant were u can sit and relax...go to the beach come back n then relax again. Not much crowded and the food is great.Overall a gud experience

This is in proximity to colva beach. Nothing so extravagant. We went on a dry day. Just sit in front of the beach and cherish the tranquility. The food is just average. The service is nothing fancy. Go there for a date and enjoy some peace. A peaceful candlelight dinner. Beware of the flies though. My gf was focussed more on the mosquitoes than her food😜 Neha Raina
Excellent location to have some restaurant on the beach.. food menu is fabulous, service is ok and ambiance is something very basic kinda

We ordered sea food salad and chocolate milkshake along with a pint of beer. Through beer was not that much chilled but rain during having beer made the day with view towards ocean. Salad was not much which can be talked here , not interested to take this item from menu again. Milk shake was also not up to mark.

Rucha Gotarkar
For starters, it is right on the beach so there is nothing much you can really complain about. Other than that we ordered for a Genovese Pesto pasta, a chicken sandwich, Lavazza with homemade brownie, brownie with ice cream, the Boomerang Beef burger and a Manchow soup. The homemade brownie we tried had a sugary crust on top and soft, gooey, chocolatey layers beneath-amazinggg. The beef burger was one of the best I have ever tasted- taste, texture, size..perfect.
If you happen to be in Colva you have to come here for these two items on the menu.
PS- The playlist is lovely.

Boomerang gets full points for location. And Location is important when you're talking about a Goa restaurant :). Set right on Colva beach, this is a 'pakka' restaurant right on the sand. It is not a shack.

Several tables face the sea. A large curvy wood bar adorns the center. There is a resident masseuse! They used to have pool tables but not any more I think (unless they make a comeback).

Service is friendly and they have a big menu serving everything from breakfast to dinner.

All Tandoor dishes are good. Next comes the Chinese food. Of course this is from a vegetarian stand point.

For sea food lovers, you can't go wrong with catch of the day prepared in the signature rechado style or any other way you like it.

If you are planning a day at Colva beach, you can actually rent a cabana and hang out here all day.
Shrey Chaturvedi
Crispy chilly babycorn neither crispy nor chilly; half cooked. Every other item on the menu is out of stock. Their only saver is the location, and ambience.
Sahil Saini
Most shittiest restaurant/shack I have ever been to. The waiter licks foreigners asses and are completely hostile towards Indians. They charge 200/- for beach side recliners seating which is free in entire Goa. Coming to the food, we ordered sea food salad which consisted only 4-5 prawns and remaining tomatoes and onions. Regarding service absolutely zero as they abuse u if by mistake u drop ur fork n ask for another. PLEASe avoid this place like plague.
The Foodgasmic Moody
This place started out as a beach side club. Had been here for noise free parties. Great place and the location is amazing right at the beach. The food leaves a bit to be desired but I don't think you will be disappointed here if you go there for just a fun night of partying.
Sullivan Noronha
Their beef stroganoff was virtually a Chinese chilli beef curry on a bed of orange biryani rice for which I had to pay 360 rupees. Sad and over priced.
Shashank Sawant
An extra 0.5 points for its location and ambiance. This is a beach-side property/permanent shack at Colva beach (accessible through one of the smaller roads near Indian Oil guesthouse or simply by walking northwards on the Colva beach). The food is decent, the music is pleasant and there's a competent bar-mixer.
It would do great with kinder service staff and better reservations, not to mention uploading the menu on Zomato. Cheers! :)

Staff that work in this restaurant are invective. The manager is also of the same breed. If you want to destroy your good mood I would definitely recommend you this place. This has been the worst restaurant I have ever been in. I mean who abuses in front of children. They have no sense of hospitality. The other problem with this restaurant is racism . Indians are not treated well here . This shows from what background the restaurant owner comes from by employing such staff. I will regret going there my entire life. Worst restaurant to go in Goa
Dwitipriya Bose
It's well located and nearby beach.
But, don't visit here.
It's serves worst kind of food, with total goof up with menu.
I have order xacuti, he came with caferal.
And it was overly priced.
Sanket Dialani
Overpriced menu and Racist staff. Told us that Indians are not allowed to talk to foreigners there even when a russian woman approached to talk to us. Experienced racism in India for the first time being an Indian. Don't go if you hate racism no matter if you are at it's receiving end or not. Let's teach such people a lesson.
Herkitchenstory
Extremely well located with view of beach away from the crowd, just sit eat and relax.

The food unfortunately was not upto the par, was here for breakfast and please don't expect good vegetarian options.
Tomato cheese sandwich 2/5
Sausages 1/5 they were stale n not at all appetising
Coffee 3/5
Beer 4/5
Omelettes 2.5/5

FOOD 2/5
AMBIENCE 2.5/5
VIEW - great
ON POCKET - great
STAFF-2.5/5

Yes but to some it all it was the only shack open on the beach🙈
Carol
A perfectly well located shack in Colva and off late quite happening too. I love the beach view from the shack. A fun place to chill at, they serve some delicious food too. I love their Carbonara, so cheesy and well made. The prices are a bit steep though. It's the perfect place to be at anytime or day of the week.
Neil Desouza
They have an amazing location but fail to utilise it to its potential...have been doin a lot of stuff nwdays with the live music and karaoke sessions though which is good to see...drinks arnt anythin special and they tend to overcharge quite a bit ...foods pretty decent if u knw Wat to order...The boomerang mushrooms, the beef burger, beef fry, spicy chicken wings and the sausage naan are definitely worth a try...although consistency seems to be lacking....
Go there for the Wednesday rock and roll nites...really good vibe....don't expect fancy great good though
Khushbu Priya
Quite beach and location of the restuarant is such that you can simply sit there and enjoy the breeze with a glass of beer.Music was good.Food was good.I would simply visit the place again for the location and breeze.
Sushill Shyam Sundar
Most disappointing service, refuse to serve water after spending money there. Now you go to a hotel anywhere in the world, they offer tap water if you insist. Airlines who ready to charge for anything offer water free. This is one of those numerous "good" restaurants that is going be wiped off the map when quality of service in India improves.
Shabih Abbas
Visited Boomerang twice during our visit to Goa last month. It's a nice place to spend some time by the sea and it's also not very crowded. I don't know why but its a hit with international tourists. The food is nothing special. Drinks are all good but nothing to brag about either.
Strangely a cup of hot masala tea will cost you less then a bottle of thumps up. :)
Overall a nice place to spend time by the sea.
Anuj Naik
Quite a good place to dine out. Very very close to the shore. Very attentive and courteous staff and pleasant live music. Was nice to listen to Rajanprema song after ages. The food is fine, ordered Fish tikka which was juicy and spicy. The cocktail was great ! Chicken Tandoori was superb, but the chicken crispy and Chicken Hakka Noodles were quite ordinary. Calamari golden fried were just about OK. The best item were the delicious Cheese Garlic Naan.
Priti
Was here with friends,we ordered beef chilli, beef burger, cheese sticks, cheese and mushroom omelette and calamari masala. The food was ok, nothing special in their menu. They had a live band which was the best part
Nancy
hi all;

I visited this restaurant. The most pathetic experience I ever had in my life.Specially the waiters are so rude to Indians as if we are just burdens over them. They think if Indians will come they will generate less revenue. So they keep an eye on the customers how much stuffs they are ordering.I think this is not good and they should treat each and every customers equally.

Thank you.
Suhani Dubey
Colva has not been very good to us food wise. After the pathetic experience at Benny's, we were desperate for some tasty food that Goa is famous for. We ordered a Veg Burger, Chicken Stroganoff and Chicken Sandwich. The Burger and the sandwich came with fries. The fries were crunchy and seemed like they were refried several times. The Veg Burger was dry and partially burnt and tasteless. The Chicken Sandwich was average. The Chicken Stroganoff served here will have a thousand Russians screaming in fright. It was brown with yellow rice. The taste was still fine but not something you expect when you order Stroganoff, which is one of my personal favorites. That being said, the ambience, the service, the sunset and my boyfriend's Mojito were enjoyable and pleasant and perhaps the saving grace at this place.
Abhishek Jha
