Review Mon Petit Frere - Colva

Varuna Shunglu
We had a really good Sunday brunch here. The servers were helpful and smiling. They immediately made us feel at home and looked into any requests we had. The food itself was great. We ordered the grilled salad, pancakes and Turkish eggs, all of which were really well made as you can see in the pictures. Overall, a lovely experience and ambience. Ample of place to park. I will surely be back soon.

The food was great especially the mushroom and spring onion omelette. The omelette was very well prepared and the filling was delicious. We also tried the veggies in pesto sauce sandwich. The sandwich was great but I wish they had a brown/multigrain bread option. The fries were also yum. The choco chunk pancakes were superb, I haven't had such fluffy pancakes anywhere else. There was a generous spread of chocolates adding to the taste. The staff were very warm and hospitable. Unfortunately my niece and I are scared of dogs (yes they have 3 pet dogs and a couple of cats), when the staff got to know about this, they made sure the dogs did not come close to our table. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Couldn't be better.

A very off beat restaurant, tucked away from the main road and one of the best in South Goa. Their menu is limited but food is CLASSY. Kids loved the Chocolate Pancake . We liked the chicken sandwich and the salad. The fries are jumbo and yummy. Don’t miss this place. It’s open only for a few hours, do time yourself. They are open from 9ish till 2:30pm, then from 3:30pm to 6:45 ish. Highly recommend this place . Do enjoy your food and do like this review. 🙏

A hidden gem. For all those who are looking for a great breakfast place, I would highly recommend Mon Petit. The coffee, the Turkish eggs, and the French toast. It’s the most scrumptious brunch one can hope for.

Had a lovely breakfast here. We had the Turkish poached Eggs, the Farmer's Omlette with Iced Mocha and chocolate shake. For dessert we had the Basque Cheese cake. It was a great experience.

Set in a rather veiled surrounding (almost feels like the owner was reluctant to advertise about it!), this cafe is the perfect place to spend your mornings away from the hustle. The food was marvellous and the salad was very refreshing. If you happen to visit during the summers, do ask for their local beer and remember to collect mangoes from the gardens!

My brother randomly made plans to take me to lunch here because he said the place was really good. Place looks very small and not so great to look at, but the food was fancy. Made sure I go ahead of time to confirm that they had a salad so I could get my veggies in, haha. I ordered the summer salad with some grilled chicken. It had lettuce, pumpkin seeds, almonds, raisins, olives, orange peels, mandarin something dressing. I asked for dressing on the side And after agreeing the server came back and said the greens were already tossed in the dressing. I said I want it on the side, so instead to just give me some extra plain greens. My plan was to add some more greens to tone it down. It really didn't make sense to me why salad greens would already be tossed in the dressing. They would get really soggy that way. When the salad came he said they made it from scratch instead. I still wanted more greens on the side and the guy was quite hesitant to give me some. Took some time and then actually agreed to get me more lettuce. Ended up even charging for it! I was quite surprised. The salad itself was really good. I think the almonds, pumpkin seeds and raisins were already tossed in that dressing because they were sweet by themselves. The chicken was also quite oily in the way it was cooked so I had to press the oil all out with some tissue papers. Only added a little dressing in and everything went well together that way. Ended up not having most of the olives and pumpkin seeds and such because it was just too much fat! I also ordered the Turkish eggs and they were amazing! Poached really well and went well with the garlicky yogurt and chili oil. I ended up having only one yoke and all the whites to reduce on the fat more. That bread on the side was perfection! I ended up having it plain at the end! So fresh and toasted and just good. My brother ordered the Peri Peri Chicken Sandwich, Eggs Benedict with Ham as well as a French Toast! That sandwich was beautiful! I had a bite and loved it! Would have totally had one of my own if I would not having a low-er carb lunch. He really liked the Benedict as well. And the French Toast... He loved it too. I tried some of the French toast and it was a bit too sweet for me. Extra extra too sweet. Maybe some peanut butter on top and it would have been fine. Overall a really good experience here. Food was and plated well too, but actual dishes were not too fancy or anything.

Nice little cafe with rustic feels and great coffee. We went for breakfast. Good pancakes and super tasty. edit: went here for coffee almost everyday and they served really good coffee. They have take away option as well. This is a dog friendly place. Place has rustic and industrial vibe and spot on for hanging out

Read some reviews before visiting this place, it’s totally worth it. It has a big parking space where you can easily park your vehicle. It’s a simple open restaurant with 5-6 tables. It’s some what crowded every time. It’s managed by a family and they do an excellent job. The menu is great with varieties from sandwiches to pancakes, cheesecakes and coffees. We tried the chocolate chunk pancake, Peri peri chicken sandwich, bacon and cheese sandwich, egg Benedict and crispy chicken burger. The quantity is pretty good. In beverages we tried the cold coffee, iced latte and peach ice tea all of it was good. For desert we had cheesecake and brownie with ice cream and wow they were delicious. A must visit place if you are a food lover. I will surely visit this place again next time I’m in Goa.

Don’t be fooled by the place when you step in. Basic seating and probably under renovation but but the food is to die for! We tried the Affogato, Eggs Benedict, Pesto sandwich and chocolate chunks pancakes. Each dish was outstanding. Bonus - they have a bunch of friendly dogs that kept our kids happy. Rudolph was a pleasure and went out of the way to make extra pancakes for us even after running out of dough. Must visit!

A quaint Cafe in Colva which is a must visit for breakfast or brunch. We ordered Turkish poached eggs, Pancake and egg Benedict and all the three were delicious. The coffee too was quite nice. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in and around this area

It's a breakfast like no other. The eggs Benedict were amazing. Soft texture, the hollandaise sauce just melts in your mouth. Plus the crumb fried chicken burger is heavenly. So to say are the toasties too. They have good options on the toasties. Worth visiting everytime. 🙏

Limited vegetarian options. But loved the coffee, pancakes, veg sandwich. Everything very fresh and up to the mark. They have limited seating ans very basic ambience. It fills very fast during breakfast if you go post 9 am.

Mon petit frere is the best place for English breakfast near colva beach. It is a very simple place but the breakfast they serve is authentic, good in taste as well as in quality. Thanks 🙏

Mon Petit Frère is one of the best place for breakfast in south Goa, it specialises in my amazing breakfast items. The ambience is really rustic and soothing. There are always some cute Dogs lying around. The service was quick ans the boys were great. It’s a total 4.5, I would deduct .5 as it closes early. I really want to experience it at night as well. Overall great experience, I have their reel on my Instagram as well. Please check out.

Slightly off the main road, this is the place to go for fluffy pancakes and thick shakes in Colva

What a lovely place!! I could go every single day. The brothers that run the place are hardworking and very friendly. Most importantly, they serve the best breakfast in town..the food is delicious, the coffee is freshly ground, and the homemade desserts are really worth the extra calories. The cafe in itself is very charming..lots of trees, fresh breeze..happy garden vibes. Don't miss this place!
Trencher Foodie
This is a 'no drama cafe' just OPP colva church. Very simple table chair setting.

Beef roast sandwich was my deal. Just perfect to woe my taste buds.

Pancake was fab.

Okie guys, try their different coffees in the menu as their extraordinary out of your regular coffee shops.

The photos shown in the gallery is of old cafe. The outside seating has changed and is being renovated to add parking and other seating arrangements.
Besides that The pancakes were good. Soft and tasty.
Would have tasted much better if the sauce was maple syrup.

This place is the BEST cafe in this area hands down. Great food. Consistently good. Lovely vibe.

The coffee is amazing and the food gets a thumbs up. It’s a good place to chill in the evenings and their spinach and chilly omelette is a good breakfast option. My personal favourite is the apple pie and the hand cut French fries! Yum!
Amanda Fernandes
Their sandwiches are overpriced for just two slices of bread. Ordered a cheese Goan sausage sandwich which costs 180 and this is what I got. 5 tiny little pieces of sausage. Really Mr. Owner? Is this your idea of a respectable sandwich? Whats also appalling is their side of bacon that costs 80 bucks. It consists of 2 measly small rashers of bacon. Yup. That's right...just 2 at 40 bucks a piece.
Their only saving grace are the desserts.
Shemida Mascarenhas
The food at this cafe is so delicious and good quality.

THE ROAST BEEF SANDWICH IS SUPER DELICIOUS AND JUICY.

THE PANCAKES HERE ARE FLUFFY AND MOIST AND TASTY.

THE COLD COFFE LATTE IS YUM AND THE COFFEE IS GOOD QUALITY.

ITS A SMALL AND COZY PLACE. MUST VISIT 👍🏻
Kalindi Kokal
Lovely cafe tucked away in a lush green pocket of Colva. Its raw and rustic decor is tastefully done. We came here for the coffee and it did not disappoint. We missed the banana and dates cake , but the chocolate almond went well with the iced americano. Possibly a great breakfast choice!

This cafe is one of the best in Colva! Tried their milkshakes, the roast beef sandwich, herb chicken sandwich and banana pancakes. Delicious food, even better service and good value for money. It can be a bit hard to find so keep your eyes open for the sign. Check this place out if you're in Colva. You won't be disappointed.

I discovered this place some time last year, located on the Colva main road but somehow hidden away from everything especially the loud city noises. A very simple decor surrounded by beautiful trees and giving a very rustic vibe that with one of their amazing cups of coffee can heal the soul.
I would authoritatively claim that here you can get the best coffee in Goa and by that I mean real coffee, none of that pre packaged bullshit
The place is run by these brothers who are as friendly as the pets who call this place home. The pancakes are amazing, nice, fat and fluffy just like how Indian parents want their kids to be. The toppings on the pancakes take it to a whole different level.
The eggs are well made, something that you'd expect Gordon Ramsay to be proud of.
The apple pie is sumptuous, more of apple and less of dough.
Oh yes if there are many guests then expect to wait a bit for your food, but then again when everything is made fresh and no shortcuts are taken and it always tastes the same then why not, and when you have a view like that where you can calmly meditate and think about life or have a proper conversation with Raymond or listen to some real music playing then why would you have a problem with waiting a bit. Anticipation only makes it taste better doesn't it.

Mostly they serve non-veg items(other than chicken also🤢)...
But the worst part of it is they have dogs everywhere on the property...
Who chew on your shoes and trouble you...😡

This little cafe was a great place to be at in the morning. The ambiance is simply relaxing. The music and the smell of coffee will only bettered your mood. The spinach and cheese omlette was delicious, the breads were perfectly toasted and the coffee was good. The portions could be a little more but the food was a thumbs up. The banana flambe was the tastiest, don't not order it when you're there ❤️

Sexy environment.
Worth visiting this place.
Limited item on the menu but each item is just bomb .
Ordered pans cakes , sandwich and coffee. Pancakes are die for. Please don’t miss pancakes 😍
Please do note : please do call before visiting this pace , sometimes this place is closed.

Don’t miss this place if you are in south goa .
Corridor Seven Coffee
This place has got the real feel of goa . It represents Goa i must say. Lush green trees all around , if you sit quietly for a while you can hear the birds chirping!
Food has such beautiful handmade and freshly cooked touch to it. The coffee is by far the best i have had in goa & it beats all the chains and fancy shops. Just love the way these 2 brothers are building this place 1 piece at a time and you would definitely experience the warmth this place gives.
Excited for this place to go big💯

Very quiet semi outdoor cafe. From what I've tried from the menu, the beef was perfectly cooked. The coffee is freshly brewed and is brilliant. Place is run by very sweet people too.

Excellent breakfast. Off the main road. Amazing service and pretty good on the taste. Must visit this place after a crazy night of drinking.

Ordered a chocolate mintshake and french fries. Sorry my friends were veg. And the whole menu was dedicated to Non veg. They should cater for like the other half of the population

A really small place with 5 tables amidst greenery tucked in a bylane of Colva. It's popular for breakfast food so we went in the evening for that. After all one can have breakfast all day right?
We ordered pancakes with Choco sauce, cinnamon french toast with ice cream, mushroom n spinach sandwich and herb chicken sandwich. Everything looked Instagram worthy btw so we took a lot of pictures. The her bed Chicken was yummy but small n didn't come with any fries or dip. The French toast was a bit dry n not too tasty. The pancakes were fluffy and good and tasted nice with chocolate sauce. We also had the spiced ice tea and a cold brew which was nice. Their service is slow and the mosquitoes attacked us in the evening.
The place is nice and foods decent. But it's a bit pricey for their quantity and taste but a nice place if you want to sit amidst nature.

A neat and rustic cafe tucked away in a sea of greenery right by the main Colva beach road. The barista skills of Raymond are beyond compare and if you like your cuppa coffee, then nothing beats the Brew here. The food again is absolutely lip smacking good, ranging from the eggs to order, sandwiches to the pies.

A place away from all the noise and busy colva - margao area . Offers a limited Menu yet a filling from All day breakfast to Desserts 😍
Recommendations: Crepes with ice cream and chocolate syrup and The fluffy Pancakes 🤤👌

Amidst all the hustle I was glad to find a quiet and a tiny cafe. The very first look of the cafe made me fall in love with it. Food is great and pocket friendly. It does not have much on the menu though but it didn’t matter to me. I had a spinach and mushroom sandwich and chocolate chip mint milkshake. Sandwich was just perfect with the right amount of spinach. Would definitely want to visit again to try their pancakes!!

Best fluffy pancakes, with excitingly delicious and generous toppings, put together with exceptional coffee and reasonable prices. For pancakes, crepes and other breakfast options, highly recommended.

Goa has niche cafes but they are usually all hyped up without much to offer. So I was very sceptical when I went to Mon Petit. But my-oh-my, was I in for a surprise! I ordered for the Spinach and Mushroom sandwich and a Mint Tea to go with it. For dessert I ordered the Crepes with lemon curd. First thing I noticed was that the prices were really nominal for the quantity. The sandwich was simply #delish, with the right amount of greens, herbs and shrooms! The bread was really scrumptious too. The mint tea was really light and refreshing, and would make a perfect summer drink. The crepes and the lemon curd were just what I needed, with its good dose of tarty sweetness. What I liked the most is how the food is simple and yet so delicious. And the ambience too is lovely and makes one forget that the cafe is in located around one of Goa's popular beaches #colva So, if you are in Margao DO NOT MISS to grab a bite at this little cafe!
Pickled Up
Had come to this place at 6 in the evening was a bit difficult to locate this cafe as the signboard is not noticed well.. plenty of mosquitoes while you sit..ambience is ok..snacks are alright..it's not expensive neither is it cheap.
