Review Frank Ross Cafe - Darjeeling

Abul Kashafat
Found so many negative reviews, but honestly saying we have tried only butter paper masala dhosa multiple times from this restaurant. We found the same taste as in Kolkata's restaurant but the price was a little high.

Few days back I was in winter vacation with my family at Darjeeling. So, as usual we went at the one and only cafe in India which is only available at Darjeeling named Frank Ross Cafe which is located at Mall Road. The cafe is really very nice and quite large seating arrangement they have. But the new and interesting thing is this cafe has the self service. But, trust me the foods which I tried are very tasty, hygienic and great. I tried here Cheese Garlic Bread, coffee, and garlic bread. All the items are very different because all the items are handmade. With live kitchen of them you can easily enjoy your meal or snacks with nice wintery seasons of Beautiful Darjeeling. I really love their food quality and taste. It's very homely feeling. Not so rich in taste or not so poor in taste. If I talk about improvement then they only have to improve their behavior and all the tables should be clear well. Staffs are good but not so friendly. Ambiance was good but not so much better. All over experience was good. But still food quality was great. I RECOMMEND everyone if you are thinking to visit Darjeeling then please must visit here. Because this is only one cafe in India which is at Darjeeling.

We ate here twice while in Darjeeling. The food was good, the service speed was reasonable and prices OK.

It's in the main market, yet you can feel a sense of comfort and peace here. A very pretty and open kitchen cafe, it makes me remember the old diners in england

The restaurant was about to close for the day and yet they accommodated us, which was really kind. We ordered a dosa, pav bhaji and hot dog. Sadly there were limited options available when we were dining in. Dosa was nice. Pav bhaji was ok-ish and so was hot dog. The food was pretty mediocre but the restaurant is pure vegetarian unlike the rest in the vicinity, so I’ll give them an extra star for that.

The cafe is good with the view of Darjeeling mountains, you'll get many dishes and beverage at reasonable price. Had ordered Darjeeling masala tea which was awesome 😊

The Mumbai special sandwich is nothing like the sandwich that you in general get in Mumbai. Cinnamon coffee was great as well as the Mushroom dosa. 'Recommended'
