Review China Hut - Darjeeling

Simply an awesome experience of handling food and serving to customers. I am touched by the hotel owner and the food. Only sad part was some of food items could have been much better if made nicely in taste. This is the reason I am not giving 5* else o would have given. The soup was not that awesome. For vegetarian the combination of food such as Manchurian and cauliflower vegetarian biryani was a great combination to enjoy. Don't hesitate to have food at this place just simply it's showing Chinese, Tibetan, Thai and Japanese food. Just try sometime something interesting. Nice food to taste real one👌😋

China Hut is a very good Tibetan and Chinese food restaurant located on Gandhi Road, very near to the Darjeeling Clock Tower, just before the Mall market. The ambience of the restaurant is also very nice both inside and outside and the predominantly red colours of the décor and furnishings looks very attractive. They have outdoor seating as well but we chose to dine inside as the climate was quite cold. It was quite cosy inside, with about 6 tables with sufficient distance between them. We ordered the Tibetan delicacy of Thukpa. Both the Chicken Thukpa and the Veg Thukpa was very tasty with not too much spices, but with lot of chicken and vegetables. We also ordered Fried Veg Wonton as starter and we liked it so much that we ordered one more of it. Prices were reasonable and the service was good.

A small place ... but friendly staff with good suggestions of what to eat and their specials. The Manchow soup was a delight... the chowmein and manchurian chicken were good .... quantity was good and reasonably priced . Do give it a try as it is 2 min walk from Mall .

We tried chicken dumplings and noodles. Both were tasty. I feel like this place is underrated. Must visit place if anyone is in Darjeeling.

Excellent place to eat for travellers, really good value for money, it's very clean, the service is fast even they told us that cooking the momos would take some time, the owners are very friendly

Its a good resturant. And people are good to advise you what new to try or not. Japanese dishes are available there. I will suggest must try the japanese dishes.

China Hut is probably the best eating place for travelers. It is run by a family. The warmth given by the family to the customers is just awesome. Food quality as well as quantity is fantastic. Extremely tasty their cooking is. When in Darjeeling, do visit this place once. I am sure you will end up coming here repeatedly for lunch and dinner. Their wanton soup is probably the best I ever had. And their lemon tea is definitely the best I ever had.

Had ordered Chowmein and Momos, tasted average. It was open late in the night and wasn't expensive and staff were friendly. They were playing music as well. Going by all these positives and from other reviews I believe other dishes would be much better than what I had ordered. I enjoyed the ambience and the setup as well.

This little place is located not in the mall, buta littlebit outside near El Bethany School. For this reason, i found it helpful for the tourists staying in hotels in the line. The place keeps open till 8.30pm, which is much later than many other restaurants. They also deliver it to the nearby hotels without any extra carrying cost. Food tastes are average, and the cost is average too. But this cozy little joint can be a go-to place for people wanting to have dinner and unable to go very far

Best restaurant in Darjeeling. Though the place is not so luxurious but according to the budget the food is best. In fact I can say one of the best food in Darjeeling. You should try thukpa here

Their veg thukpa and thenthuk are tasty. Also had their noodles a fried rice. Great prices and nice staff. I’d give them five stars if they had veg momos.
