I had heard of this place by my cousin. So I went with my family in this restaurant. I loved the ambience and the decor. We ordered sushi and momos. I liked the flavour and taste of the food we ordered. If you are bored out of regular food or snacks. Must try the items here for a change. Quantity is good. Food is ok, their Mussoorie outlet serves better and more delicious food. However, This outlet is more spacious than the Mussoorie one. They have a cafe too at the ground floor, however, it has a separate space and entrance.

Kalsang Restaurant is a popular Tibetan restaurant in Dehradun known for its momos and other Tibetan delicacies. This is my all time favorite place for momos and pancakes . Their pancakes are so soft and yummy. If you are a spicy food lover than you should try their devil momos .

It was a ten out of ten experience. Me and my girlfriend ordered chicken thuppa it was sooooo good best thuppa I have ever tasted. We ordered one so waiter gave it in 2 bowls it was so good. They even took our pictures with their traditional dresses it was a grand experience. Thank you so much kalsang.

We always enjoyed eating at this restaurant. This time we ordered Korean soups which was served with sticky five and a lot a lot of green vegetables. I suggest a fusion here. Instead of bland rice if it is mixed with salt and butter, it will definitely suit the Indian tongue. Overall it was a great eating experience here. Food served by sahil was quick and prompt.

We had Korean Cuisine and the food was undoubtedly good. Service in my opinion could have been better as there was lag in communication with the waiters as they were finding to understand hindi well. Ambience was good.

It has so many options for Chinese,Thai and Korean food. Their food is just awesome and tasty and justify their prices as well. Momos are also very amazing and delicious just like wow. We never miss visiting this place where we are driving through or driving nearby Dehradun . This time we drove an extra 60km. If you are a pure vegetarian like some of my friends who entered Kalsang for the first time, they didn't like the smell/aroma inside the restaurant.

A very good Asian food restaurant in Dehradun. Their restaurant 1st & 2nd floor) is huge & a very authentic Chinese ambience. Food is also good. The cafe on the ground floor is also amazing. They have a good variety of coffee & drinks & bakery items.

Heard about this but not sure why never visited it earlier. Liked the overall ambience. Food choice went wrong as I didnt like the taste at all. Maybe wrong choice this time. Will try once again.

Pathetic experience! Tho the place is kick ass and so is the menu and the food is fairly decent ! The service is absolutely SLOW and poor . Like you get the sides First and then main course after 20 mins !! Cherry on the top ! Bread but without the eggs that we ordered together ! Anyway won't give it a shot of going again ! .

A nice and comfortable place to be at. Have been to this place a couple of times earlier. The food always tasted good, however this time everything was a let down. The cafe has lost its charm of good food. From the Pizza ,the pasta, coffee, and even the French fries were really bad..... I am not saying that they were not good...... rather focusing on that they were really bad. Had invited some guest over and the food turned out to be an apology. Would suggest them to really look into the quality that is being served I don’t think will suggest this place or ever visit again.

This café is an absolute delight to visit with your better half, or for just a casual hangout with friends.<br/>The ambience is very cozy and different than what most cafés in Dehradun offer. <br/>The only downside that I constantly see is that the service is pretty slow and the outside seating is full of mosquitoes during the summers.<br/>My favorite picks- Red Velvet Cheesecake, Vanilla Latte Hot Coffee, Fries with dip and Margherita Pizza!

The menu shows all day breakfast and we were not served breakfast.<br/>It doesn't show anywhere that it's till 2 but apparently it doesn't matter because you can't have it after 2 even when it shows that it's an all day breakfast menu.<br/>

Very poor staff attitude. Extremely untrained and rude staff attitude. They have all day breakfast mentioned in the menu. But once you sit down and order 5 minutes later they remember that breakfast is only till 2pm. Firstly be polite about it. Secondly DO NOT MENTION ALL DAY BREAKFAST if you aren’t going to serve it. All of it would’ve been fine if only the staff especially the one behind the counter would be less arrogant.

Today went to Kalsang Ama Cafe and had a good time.Their ambience is so good and the vibes are warm and cosy. Service is also quite good. One of the oldest and most authentic Chinese and Thai cuisine restaurant in Doon...<br/>It has option of even outdoor seating... where you can enjoy views with food...<br/>Great place to have Pork dishes...made in traditional recipe...which will make you visit here again and again...<br/>We went in and had Pork momo, mixed meat rice, mutton fry and mango shake...<br/>All the dish were lip smacking...and the ambiance will just make you sit over here for hours...

Buddhist styled interiors at kalsang give authentic Tibetan vibes to customer. Their elaborated menu has Thai , Tibetan and Chinese cuisine. One of my favourites to visit. I love having their kothey , chilli potatoes , tingmos.

Kalsang AMA Cafe is one of my absolutely favorite cafes in town. Their ambiance is so good and the vibes are warm and cosy. Their Banoffee pie is definitely a try. Looking forward to be back their post lockdown.

Delhi's Ama Cafe is in Dehradun and on my recent visit for a friends meet, this was the obvious choice. The ambiance is similar to the one in Delhi, as is the menu and the prices. Lastly, the vibes remain the same too.<br/>Loved everything we had, Spicy Chicken Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza and Grilled Chicken Steak in food with a lot of drinks which were all good. Service can be a bit better in terms of being responsive.<br/>But, a must visit if you are in town.

I was there on 15th of february and had a outstanding experience with the cafe. Food was damn nice. <br/>I was there in Dehradun for two days and kalsang AMA became my favorite from the first day. So the food, the ambiance, taste and location is too good.<br/><br/>I would love to be there again n again.

A great cup of coffee, warm ambience, and fantastic view with a beautiful melody playing in the background is enough to make someone's day and kalsang ama gives u all. Its been my favorite go-to-place for quite sometime and I'm still not over it. In terms of value for money, service and taste, I'm quite satisfied. Here my order on visit with my friends: For drinks: Ice blended mocha frappe, hot chocolate, strawberry and raspberry tea. There frappe is worth a try and gives the right amount of sweetness with the chilling feeling. For food: Chicken cheese fries, white sauce pasta, peri peri chicken steak . They have one of the best fries in dehradun and the steak platter is a fulfilling one. For desert: Walnut brownie with ice cream Best way to finish the meal.

Went to kalsang ama cafe and had a good time upstairs in the restaurant.<br/>I had this Pic 1: oreo shake (Rs 149) <br/>It was worth the price I thought it to be without oreo chunks cuz the shake was filled in a bottle like container but I was seriously amazed when I had the first sip of the shake full of oreo cream and chunks. I really loved the shake!<br/>Another thing that I ordered was Virgin mojito (Pic2) (Rs 109)<br/>I swear it is one of the best mojito I’ve ever had! Everything was just perfect! Mint leaves , lime slices, everything! The mojito rejuvenated my senses and made me calm. <br/>I had also ordered (Pic3) Devil Momos (veg) (Rs 184)<br/>I’ve heard from many people about these momos that come with gravy. Being a tibetan cafe how could they afford to disappoint in food like momos? The momos were very delicious! The taste was upto the mark. And to be honest it was enough for me to full my stomach. <br/>My overall experience at the restaurant was great! The staff is polite. The restaurant has a good taste of music! <br/>But the cafe was just opposite to the restaurant <br/>I ordered molten cheese fries (Pic4) (Rs 180). Personally I didn’t like the fries that much. The fries didn’t stand upto my expectations. Plus they were slightly burnt.<br/>Firstly the staff didn’t turn up to take our order. And then they kept me waiting for the bill for about half an hour. And then finally when I gave my card to them for the payment their machine didn’t respond. And I kept waiting for the network for about 20 min.<br/>Overall I would like to go to the restaurant (upstairs) again but won’t go to the cafe (ground floor) ever.

The food was taste wise ordinary but we were not served anything hot. Lukewarm coffee to accompany just about warm fries with a cold grilled cheese sandwich. Their alfredo was tasteless. But I did not expect it to be extraordinary so was not that disappointed. The disappointment came with the PATHETIC SERVICE that this place provides. The guys over here don't want to work at all. Everything served here was cold. The staff does not even bother catering to the customers. I had to go to the counter to place the order and to get the bill and to pay it too. What's even more fascinating is the fact that even after I called them thrice and then went to the counter to complain about it there was no initiative from the management. The other customer who was there came to the counter twice and asked them for a menu and they still did not bother to provide her the menu. I wish I could give them less than 1 star for such a service.

Lovely interiors with and a small outdoor sitting too. This place serves one of the best foods in town. We had one of the best ginger lemon green tea and chicken steak. The food was amazing with good portion size and great quality. absolutely fabulous.

The best place with the most delicious food. The red velvet is happiness full of a jar, whereas the pancakes are very soft and fluffy. Every time I go red sauce pasta is my constant favourite. It is really creamy and tangy with a burst of flavours. Last but not the least it serves the best pizza in town, which is a must-try. Their caramel latte is also one of the best and will rejuvenate you with the taste.

The food was pathetic. Ordered a masala chai.. while ordering I asked for less milk in the tea... clearly it went misunderstood and the tea tasted like it had been made hours ago. <br/>Ordered a Coffee Oreo shake next - it barely tasted of coffee, I have had way better shakes. Such a disappointment. <br/>French fries - Soggy and the dips were stale. <br/>Margarita Pizza - It tasted like the cheese had been remelted and there was barely any taste to the pizza except the cheese layer on it. <br/>Over all the place has gone to the sharks and their zomato ratings clearly look bought. Not worth 3 stars also.

The restuarant has wonderful decor and ambience, and a beautiful view of the hills and Dehradun city, however the food that came to the table was cold and the bacon was rubbery. They only accept cash at this restaurant and that's a put off. They also do not return change. We had the full English with a side of bacon and mushrooms, and paid more for mushrooms than bacon. In all, it's a great looking place for a catch up aided by slow service.

Kalsang is the perfect place in Dehradun when you don't want to take chances about good food.<br/>Been there multiple times,and never have I come back disappointed. The place is really packed on weekends,so you might have to wait  for a bit,but the food and ambiance is worth it. Love their molten cheese fries, 3 cheese pizza and Velvet in a jar.

You will almost always find it full and migut even have to wait for your turn. Really loved the food in this place plus it's value for money. Quantity is really good. Ambience is great so is the service. I tried chicken chicken momos (it's a must try! Really cheesy and good!), devils chicken momo(it's amazing for people who love spicy food. You must try & saucy this. One of the best), phad thai noodles (it was good and quantity was great) and chicken fried rice(it was okay). Overall it was good!

I had went to this cafe many times and they do make many of the delicious delicacies from Tibetan, chinese etc. I items there would be good but when i tried prawns (for 1st time in life) there it was the one of the bad dishes i had. I don't know what was the cause of my experience, either prawns tastes like that or they used stale ones but i made me dislike the prawns to a point were i may never eat them. Its not like i had never eaten fish, and prawns are also fresh water ones, so they would have tasted nearly same as other fresh water fishes, but it didn't.<br/>This is just my experience, you foodies can go there and should try their various food item. Their preparation are really great and all the staff is friendly.

The pancakes were amazing and the pasta was delicious. The drinks were great too.<br/><br/>One complaint is that the service was off. They were slow to serve and generally unattentive. We did not even get water on our table the whole time we were there.<br/><br/>Overall a great experience, although they should really focus on improving their service.

Best place to chill out in Doon with friends or family. Kalsang the owner is very nice & humble. It's one of my favourite hangout place if I am in Dehradun. Food and beverages are nice. The best Part is their ambiance it's very warm and cosy. Love sitting in the couches on the left side. I like sandwiches , pizzas and breakfast menu of the cafe.

The best mutton momos I have ever tasted. Juicy, perfect dough, beautifully presented in the metal steamer. And so filling. We couldn't even bring ourselves to eat the Thukpa we ordered, so they bagged it and now we'll have it for dinner. It's now six hours later and we are still talking about them.

I went there 2 days ago. We chose to go for outdoor seating. It was well lit, cozy, good for couples. We ordered Himalayan delight pizza, oreo coffee shake, molten cheese fries and blueberry cheesecake.<br/>Himalayan delight pizza: 5/5 best pizza in dehradun.<br/>Molten cheese fries: 3/5 fries were good, but not enough cheese on top.<br/>Oreo coffee shake: 4/5 not too sweet, nice flavour of coffee.<br/>Blueberry cheesecake: 4/5 very light and airy, not the traditional baked cheesecake.

Kalsang is a bit famous eating house in Dehradun.<br/><br/>As one of my friend suggested this place. Ambience is nice , their main old restaurant is on the 1st & 2nd floor . They have a cafe as well on ground floor. I have ordered Devil Momos which were quite nice but served cold or not too hot actually. I have ordered Chicken Wonton as well but cancelled it later.<br/><br/>Initially when we sat on the first table we found a cockroach over there and than they changed my table. Worst thing happened when rain water started dipping on our food & table badly. I cancelled my order though they forcefully tried to serve that to me but i denied.<br/><br/>My whole experience went bad due to their unmanaged or unprotected ambience.

AMA Cafe's pastries are my favourite. One must try their Cheese cakes. I also like the spaghetti aglio e oilo and the fries with chicken sausages.

I love tibetan food and this place serves the best tibetan food. I loved the ambiance and the Tibetan chants playing in background. Coming to food chicken thupka was the best thupka I had in my life. Fish was absolutely delicious and crispy veg had a perfect balance of sauce♥️<br/>I would recommend tibetan food lovers to visit this place at least once!

I love this place it's really a traditional Tibetan cafe with so much of varities in food ....last time I had Grilled Chicken Sandwich which was really really good even the French fries was good with really good crust ....Salad here is the best with the sausage I really love this place the only thing I don't like here is chocolate peanut which was really not compatible coz it's salty and sweet I'm not sure most people will like it

This is one of my fav place. The food here is delicious. The price of food is quite reasonable for the portion served. I love their Peri Peri chicken pizza and brownie♥️

It's one of my favorite cafe in Dehradun. This place has never disappointed. The staff is pretty friendly. The ambience is earthy and somehow reminds of Woody Himalayan houses.<br/>The pizzas and desserts here are extremely fresh and scrumptious.<br/>Ginger lemon honey tea here is a delight. Other drinks also don't disappoint.<br/>A must visit when in Dehradun!

this restaurant is very famous & i want this zomato to deliver the food from restaurant food is very tasty ,i have been there for more than 20 times even my family also enjoyed the food

One of the better places to eat out in dehradun.<br/>The place has a very calm and soothing ambience, good food and is aptly priced. Tried quite a few dishes here and all of them were good but not out of the blue or anything exceptional.<br/>Chicken and cheese fries are pretty good out here and a must have as an appetizer. Apart from it the pepperoni pizza is average and so is the English breakfast. The English breakfast did not look as good as it did in the photo. The taste also again is not out of the blue but average. Highlight out here is the dessert! The chocolate cheescake was on a different level and one of the best ever had! Not only the cheesecake, the red velvet over here also seems to be pretty good. Trying out desserts over here is an absolute must!<br/>

Chinese Food is just Delicious , I visited with my friends we find one of the best place in dehradun to have Chinese . Garlic Noodles , Spring Rolls and lung Fung Soup was just Awesome. Looking Forward to visit again and again 😋😋😋😍😍😉😉😊😊😊
