A good vegetarian restaurant with fast service and helpful staff. They are providing South Indian and Chinese food also,Perfect place to dine out with family and friends . Thanks to this place for filling my stomach with delicious food. One of the best restaurant in Dehradun . reasonable prices compared to other places ,Staff behavious is also great. I Recommend this restaurant for family lunch or dinner.

Very nice restaurant with decent ambiance. We had lunch here and I am quite impressed with their quick service and good hospitality. We asked them to keep food not very spicy and they exactly did what we said. Food was awesome. Restaurant is quite spacious but parking space can be a problem. Washroom was neat and clean. The veg is really good here I Visit it often at special occasions since 2003 I had Kashmiri kofta lately. It’s sweet in taste but amazing. Had it with makke ki roti. Delicious 😋 Hospitality is also good Gentry is good elite

An long standing restaurant in Dehradun. Do visit for an old world charm and some great food. Service was amazing and the menu had a great variety. I tried their malai chaap and palak paneer. Both the chaap and the paneer was soft & tasty.

The food was good and atmosphere trakl good...it's small so for small gathering it is a good place to have veg food..I also ordered through Zomato next day and there was a mistake in order delivery..kumar foods sent out their person to deliver the food that was not delivered

This is one of the best place for authentic North Indian Veg food. The space is a bit crowded mostly but the food is just awesome.

This is yet another family restaurant serving all variety of main course meals and snacks as well. The place is one of the best place to have food in Dehradun. The food is freshly prepared with intact flavors . They have a nice sitting place which can accommodate decent number of persons. Had chicken seekh kebab , Manchurian n Fried Rice...All the things were perfectly cooked n tasty. I also had lachcha parantha which was very soft as it was made with wheat flour... A must visit place if you're in Doon....

Very good restaurant which provides good quality food with very good and polite waiters. The service and top class and you will not be disappointed from this place.

The food here is savoury.. I very much like the combination here.. Their Indian courses are good best part is a gravy without a good bread doesn't goes good but the breads here ate great soft and flavoursome even of you ordered them for delivery.. Its been a long time since they are standing tall I wish they remain so will be visiting soon been a while.. Missing their tatse

Been frequent ordering place at our work place.. Price has been a little high than the others but it's worth for what they serve.. Their butter naans are always a delight and their chicken.. Loved the rice noodles combination here.

This is the youngest in the chain of Kumar’s eateries in Doon - after the success ok Kumar vegetarian a few shops away and primarily this was tinkle the the taste buds of the non veggies. <br/><br/>I would suggest this is mediocre place and the veggie is a great place and I wud stick to the veggie when in the vicinity. <br/><br/>The verdict<br/>If u wanna drink then go here else avoid.

It’s always nice to look back into the old memories and this reminds me of my childhood.<br/>It’s as old as I can remember and has always been my favourite when it comes to family dinners. <br/>My mother has organised her kitties and we have had our parents anniversary parties here and kumar has always lived upto our expectations <br/>I have eaten their entire menu, if to say, and my personal favourite would be their butter chicken and lung fung soup.<br/>I can never say no to it.<br/>

We have ordered most popular india dishes like kadai paneer, dum aloo etc... Food was so salty.. at any gud restaurant atleast spices should be upto the mark... So it's disappointed 🤔<br/>

Personally I have never found the taste of food worth relishing here and so I only attended any social gathering or party. Personally I won't prefer going.

We were looking for a new place to try and found out this on the main road. The interiors are good and they have a bar too. We ordered for mixed fried rice and chilli fish. They served us in huge quantity. Two of us couldn't each even the half of the serving. Food was good. Nice place.

I have been to this place quite a few times. <br/>The food is delicious, for your weekend lunches along with a bottle of beer this is one of the finest offering. Reasonable prices, good quality of food, quantity is really good and good services everything adds up to a perfect lunch. <br/>Do try the Mutton Roganjosh it's amazing. Though the sitting place is a little small but makes it up by the quality of service and food. <br/>

Kumars filled my empty stomach with cold rasmalai and dhokla....all time favourite....but dhokla this time was a bit extra sweet....but it was a sweet morning

Had been there multiple times. Kumars has surely became a brand here in Doon. With their speciality in Indian sweets, the brand recently penetrated into the snacks, Chinese & Indian food market. You will find many kumar restros scattered across the whole Doon. Note: Beware of fake ones!<br/><br/>Most of the fast food preparations at Kumars is strictly done with pure Desi Ghee. Be there tikkis, chats, gol gappes or their South Indian recipes Dosa, Uttapam etc.<br/>Rasmalais are awesome. I remember, my one delhi friend desperately want me to bring Kumar's 'paan wali mithai' whenever I would make up for Delhi.<br/><br/>Their thaalis, though, didnot influenced me much. Anandam is better for the same! This Name has four restaurant in Doon...<br/><br/>Very hygienic place first of all I should say....and another thing is services provider are very simple and mannered,,,,<br/><br/>We had lunch over here ...and whatever we have ordered we have totally satisfied and yaa tummy full Khana they have provided...under d reasonable price...great day with the kumar food..👌

I would rate this restaurant as zero if there was an option. Bad food. Bad service. They even charge you for sitting there.Eat & leave should be the restaurant's name.Expensive and worthless food.

The food was not at all good. It was worthless the money paid. Also these guys haven't updated their menu.The menu shown here is an old one with old rates. I would suggest not to go for this particular restaurant. The soup was not so good. Overall not satisfied

Great place great food beat and oldest place to get great north indian dishes !! One of my personal fav is the garlic naan and paneer butter masala . Dal makhni is equally good !! Service is a bit slow compared to the other new hotels but one can compromise on that for the taste you get !! Loved it

Kumar Foods Restaurant is located opposite MDDA parking, Rajpur Road.<br/><br/>I mostly come here for celebrate birthday/anniversary. Ambience is just an average. Staff is polite but little slow service. They has a bar also on the first floor. Not a fancy but simple restaurant.<br/><br/>We ordered<br/><br/>Starters ---> cream of tomato soup, veg hakka noodles, paneer seekh kebab, cheese finger<br/><br/>Main course ---> Malai kofta, Dal Makhani, Paneer tikka masala, jeera aloo, butter naan, missi roti, kashmiri pulao & veg biryani.<br/><br/>All food is good. I like cream of tomato soup which they added pieces of fried bread. Paneer seekh kebab was very soft & tasty served with green sauce. Price is OK.<br/><br/>Overall experience! I spent a nice time with my family & friends.<br/><br/>

Big name but the food is not as tasty as u will expect. Taste and ambiance is just average and nothing great. Service is also not great at all.

Was starving for some lip smacking Chinese ...so probably the first restaurant I went after reaching Doon had finger food manchow soup and spring rolls both decent in taste and as per the specification.<br/>A recommended restaurant for Chinese! Have not tried the other options, so cannot comment on it.

Well it's amazing to see that some places never change ! Was not expecting the food to be as good as it was years bak wen i used to visit this place frequently with my parents . "The Shaan of Dehradun" , Kumar serves amazing soups and continental food ! <br/>I gave a try on the Chinese soups by ordering a Lung Fung soup and a Hot n Sour soup . Both of them were equally good and worth having in the chilled weather of Doon . <br/>We even gave a try upon the Indian dishes which were Dal Makhani and Paneer Butter Masala for the vegans . Also we ordered the very famous, onion kulcha which was amazing . Again a thumbs up for paneer . Worth the food and service , Kumar deserves 4/5 !

We visited the place on our way to railway station... Seeing the menu I thought that it is bit over priced ...but believe you me it was worth it ....we ordered for dal makhani and butter chicken half plate ....The quantity was awesome and taste of dal makhani was really worth eating ....

My heart breaks when I give 2.5 to a place which was once my favourite. After the interiors being re-done, the quality of food has drastically gone down. The price also failed to justify the quality, quantity and appearance of the food. Would still like to share what I had... crispy chilli veg, paneer tikka masala, chicken do-pyaza, butter naan. :( highly disappointed.....

New interiors are pretty good. The Chicken Tikka and Mutton Seekh are awesome. For Maine course I would suggest Paneer Tikka Masala with garlic naan.

I will give maximum points only for its location in case you are out for shopping etc on rajpur road and wanna grab a beer n some food then it's ok. Parking is not an issue if u park across the road in free parking. Food used to be very good few years ago but still ok and not that bad. Good view to sit on windows side n see people running up down the road. Lol.
