Never miss out going to this place with. The best Punjabi food i ever had. And amazingly, light on the stomach yet heavy on taste. Go for it. Excellent ambience and lovely service. All in all a wholesome experience that makes you want to visit again and again.

One of the finest dine-in experience. The food tastes good, the service is good, nice ambience. You may face a little problem to park your vehicle. Overall, worth visiting.

This is a non-vegetarian restaurant located at Rajpur Road, Dehradun. This place has some really amazing-tasting(sic) curries to choose from. The taste is really good for the price as it is not too expensive. If you are here for the first time, you should definitely try the Afghani chicken.
Naman Khanduri
There are tons of restaurants in Dehradun with highly inflated menus, and dishes that taste not so great. This restaurant is an exception. The food is absolutely amazing, and the prices are fair. The ambiance of the restaurant is also great. Plus, they do free home delivery too!

Just spotted this place on the main road of Dehradoon while shopping from Ellora. We decided to have a quick lunch. The place was deserted in lunch so we were surprised. However when the food arrived it was amazing and the service was extremely fast. The place is good for authentic punjabi food and has good variety too. Loved the overall experience and yes, very genuine prices as well.

It was my mom's birthday when we went here. Centrally located, very good and delicious food, quick service, very supportive staff. Ordered Paneer dou pyaaza and it was one of the best I have ever eaten. Music was not loud, people were not loud- very good for family visit. Paid some Rs 800 for 2 people (1 starter, 2 curry dishes, 1 daal and rotis). Definitely worth the experience and money.

Absolutely love this place. Food is finger lickingly delicious and an absolute value for money with enormous portions. The staff is prompt and efficient with suggestions and service. Their chicken tikka and hariyali chicken kebabs are spicy. The amount of butter on their butter naan and butter chicken is exemplary. Seating place and ambiance is family friendly. It's a must visit for food lovers.

A good place both for Veg & Non Veg. Ambiance, Food, Staff & Service are good. I've been visiting this place since inception and have always enjoyed. For my daughter eating out means : The Punjabi Essence.
Satwik Gupta
The staff is well mannered and helps with everything possible. The food usually tastes good, but, in some instances I felt it could've been better. Their tandoor is excellent.

Ok so I'm deleting my old 5 star review and posting this 1 star review based on my experience.
I don't know from how many years this was my go to place for dinner but from past few months they have downgraded their quality.

From last 2-3 order, the quality of food is so poor that I had to write this review.

First of all their naan, rotis are coming raw. There is no stuffing in stuff naan. They are completely uncooked.

Today I ordered butter chicken.
Very avg in taste, highly disappointed.
Lung fung soup was so watery , didn't tasted good at all.

I hope the owners read the review and improve the quality in this covid situation.

Money waste from last few orders!!!
They really need to improve

At first I thought it to be a dhaba (setup wise) but when I went in I was pleasantly surprised, it turned out to be a fine dining experience. We started with tomato soup. It was quite delicious. Just wish the croutons were crispy. Their chana mughlai was quite tasty as well and so were keema and garlic naan. The staff was quite efficient and our whole experience was smooth and light on pocket.

Visited the restaurant recently for a friend's birthday on Monday so as expected it was a little less crowded but inspite of that our order took more than 30 minutes to reach our table. Food was average the veg items(mushroom masala ) were far better than the non veg(patalya chicken) items we ordered. Have visited the restaurant a few times felt the non veg segment went a little down. Also the menu is very limited we would prefer a little more options. It's an economical place to visit other wise good hygiene and staff behavior.

Good food especially Rara Chicken only if there is consistency it would do wonders. Must try once and Ialso recommend Indian breads along with that..

We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Palak Kofta, Pineapple Raita and Onion Kulcha in this restaurant. The gravy of both the vegetables was good but the Paneer and Kofta were very hard and should have been a bit softer. The Onion Kulcha was nice in taste. The taste of pineapple Raita was good but the quantity of Raita was very less. We have never seen such less quantity in any restaurant.

As for the ambience,it was average. The service was fast and the items were served quickly. But the waiters were a bit inexperienced and didn't know how to serve at the tables. Overall,it was an average experience at the place.

Punjabi Essence, is an amazing restaurant. The location might be a bit difficult to access, as there is not much of a parking space, and the restaurant might look bad from the outside, but as soon as you open the main door, things change.
Things Really CHANGE!
We were three, and we didn't plan on eating much. So initially we ordered Chicken Tandoori along with Butter Chicken and butter naan. Man, all three were on point, the gravy had the perfect Spice and sweetness, it was so good. I am just lucky that I didn't bite my finger.
Please its really recommended.
Go ahead and eat without any hesitation.
Anurag Kesarwani
One of those restaurant in Dehradun serving some serious Punjabi cuisine. Had been here with some friends for dinner and had a great time. The food is really great and highly recommended. The menu consists of both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian options to satiate everyone's palate. Having good interiors and ambience the place is perfect for having some good family time.
Monish
I ordered food from here for the first time whereas I have eaten in the restaurant before. I had added in comments for food to be non spicy and chicken pieces to be smaller as they serve big chunks, which they did not follow. Food was too spicy, kids did not eat it and they were angry as their lunch was spoiled. it is clear that nobody follows instructions as mentioned in comments while ordering.
Eternally._.hungry
I really like this restaurant because of their medium spiced food and good service. Their main course consists of North Indian food and it's best when you're out with your family and friends. The ambience is nice and it's location is near clock tower. Good experience

Always the best option to choose if you cannot think of any other place for proper meal.
Quiet and lovely place. Idk about all the food items but without any doubt butter chicken here IS THE BEST.
I never regret coming here. My whole family loves to go here. They definitely have the taste.

Ordered butter chicken and naan yesterday.
I didn't understand why there was lot of sugar in butter chicken. It tasted very sweet.
Literally it spoiled my dinner.
Aakash Sirohi
On road restaurant, along with nice spacious dining. The food and servicing is quiet upto the mark and satisfactory, you could give it a try if you are fond of punjabi food.
Swarna Gupta
The place is clean and calm. The taste is quiet nice. The place has got excellent sitting. Would love to visit again.
Thr service is also good and quick...
Vasu Bhardwaj
Food quality was satisfactory but Service was ridiculous. Water served 2 times but still clean water was not served. Can't handle full occupancy. Staff needs to be more trained and increased in no. Needs a lot of improvement in hygiene terms.
Richa Seth
This place was recommended to me by a friend for a good taste of north Indian food. Well, it stood up to its description very well. They serve one of the best north Indian dishes. We ordered a chicken biryani and a chicken masala curry. And as it's not easy to find a good biryani, this place proved to be one of the good biryani places. They serve a good quantity with great quality. Their chicken masala curry was the highlight of the day and it was spicy and perfectly cooked chicken and thick. Their service is also good and quick.

I love this place💖
North Indian food is wt I wud suggest.
Veg-panner butter masala and butter naan
Nonveg- chicken Tikka masala and lachha naan💕💕💕droolworthy!!!

Worst hospitality. Rude behaviour of staff.
They adjusted us (6 adults) in 4 persons table
Requesting many times that it’s getting congested here they behave rudely that we are having waiting out side you have to adjust or leave.
Glasses were dirty, ordered afgani chicken not cooked properly. And on that small table our starters & main course both are placed at the same time. Asking them to take that main course few min later they behaved like have your food n empty this place for others. As if we are in some bhandara or gurudwara’s langer
Baaaaaaddd restaurant never recommend to any body

Good food when u want to order in for your house . Surprise guests coming, u need not worry for that just order and stay carefree and out of the kitchen 😊

Please update the menu. It is misleading. Though the new rates are as per the quality quantity and service they provide. One of the best in dehradun.
could have given 5 starts but have to give 4 bcs of the wrong rates.

worst food . don't prefer this restaurant for big and friendly . you will definitely feel depressed eating the food of this restaurant. no response from managing team when we expressed bad review about food . they have replied back in very bad manner of treating customers. The manager replied us back in very arrogant manner as " this is the taste of our food " which not even meeting the tastes of local small restaurants even if they are charging us at 3 times higher than them. simply bad food taste, no quality in food, service, staff. Don't prefer this restaurant go for the any other one in city.

The Punjabi Essence is a fine dine Restro located just opposite St. Joseph's Academy and above Canara Bank. Though it has good ambience and staff, but not the food and specially the north indian cuisine is not worth it. We had Handi Paneer (full of onions & less of paneer), Dal Makhani (was fine), Garlic Naan (no taste of garlic & too much orange colour on it) Missi Roti (not at all crispy) and Veg. Biryani (the worst Biryani ever with excessive oil). As per my experience would recommend less for North Indian cuisine !!!
Deepak Rana
Food is good especially non veg section which i tried. Service is good. Music is not so loud. Other Peoples are not loud. A good family restaurant to visit.
Yasha Sharma
Food was good. Not too expensive. Just like every city has a trusted restaurant which is not too expensive. Ambience nothing too fancy. Go there for food not ambience!!
Abhinav Nayak
Ambience is awesome there. I truly love this place ....
Food Quality and quantity is pretty good. Apart from all this service was quiet amazing.
Divsahib Singh Sachdeva
An authentic continental restaurant in town but if compared with it's rivals like Moti Mahal and Punjabi Restaurant, it is behind in terms of the taste and quality.
Richa
This was one of the best place for main course
Afghan Chicken was so so delicious
Butter Chicken was also good
Chilli paneer - 4/5
Staff was so cooperating
My experience was so good
A must visit place especially with family
Punyaja
The food is awesome but the service is damn slow! The interior is surprisingly very beautiful but then again the staff wasn't so efficient.
Overall if you have enough time and a bit high patience then this place is a must go for fine dining.
Etqad
The food served has a nice taste. The paneer served is tender and the chicken is very well cooked. The problem that however persists is that the quantity of paneer served is extremely less than that of chicken. The cleanliness and the well behaviour of the staff is a plus here. Punjabi Essence is an OmNomNom experience. Hoping to visit the place soon.

Food is good, good options for non veg lovers, it’s a good restaurant for families serving descent both veg and non veg food . Recommended for medium budget and good food also they offer discount for forest department .

Good ambience..perfect for dining in dehradun.. serves good food plus budget friendly👍 special discount for students😎 went for second time there..

Well if you are a first timer in doon and don't know where to go and eat proper food this is your place to go with both veg and non-veg with a fine taste and a royal ambience and very friendly staff

A nice restaurant in the middle of the city can be explained as a good option for having your lunch or dinner with anyone you like.

The ambiance is simple, sober yet attractive. A fine dim lighting illuminates the place in a sweet manner... Sitting arrangements are good... Fine dining to let you have lots of stuff at once...

Coming on to the food, the delicacies stood up to the Real Punjabi Name of itself.

Service was prompt and up to the mark.

Ordered a customary platter of Shahi Paneer, Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani and Butter Naan.

Shahi paneer was really mouth watering. The flavours were exotic and the fine combo of sweetness and saltiness made up a perfect blend in mouth.

Butter Chicken was next to awesome. Gravy with lovely pieces of chicken was perfectly cooked. The chicken was boiled and cooked properly. No sign of rawness. The spices in gravy were literally icing on the cake.

Butter Naan was simply cooked to perfection with a nice flavour of yummy butter...

Altogether a nice place to spend one fine day with your loved ones. Do give it a shot.

Jaspal Singh
I tried its punjabi essence special chicken with garlic naan... Chicken was awesome as it was well cooked soft and juicy n if we go onto flavour of the chicken that was the thing which makes it awesome as spices in chicken was accurate not too spicy... not too mild.... N naan too was good all soft and full of flavour of garlic and butter.... Last thing I tried was Jaljeera it was perfect with a nice blend of sweetness in it.

The Punjabi Essence lies just opposite to St. Joseph's Academy. The ambience is good with not much of dazzling interiors.
The staff was polite but untrained.
Coming to the food, we ordered Afghani Chicken , Chicken Tikka and The Punjabi Essence Special Chicken.
The Afghani Chicken was good with nice tender meat and full of flavours. The Chicken Tikka was average and over spicy.
The Punjabi Essence special Chicken was also average and there was nothing special about the taste. You can order from the bunch of breads available.
Overall its a good retaurant with affordable menu. You can definitely go for a dinner if you're on a budget.
Rakshit Kansal
No matter how many times I visit this place, the quality of food is always tremendous. Situated opp. to Ashley Hall this indian and chinese cuisine restaurant offers you a great ambience and delicious chicken. Although there veg items are not that great but there chicken... specially punjabi essence special is a worth try. The way they serve your food is somewhat unique. Always on my list whenever I have a craving for chicken.

This place is amazing including its service, food and ambience. Paneer lababdaar was an absolute bliss though missi roti wasn't up to the mark.
Satyam Jìndal
I head a lot from locals that it's a good place for North Indian Cuisine but It was a complete set back visiting this place. How can people suggest this restaurant. Well the staff was good and ambiance was average. As far as North Indian Cuisine is concerned this place is not worth the Praise. I ordered dal makhni, khadai paneer, rice and butter naan. I'll not suggest this restaurant ever to anyone but I still don't know how people say it's best for Indian Cuisine personally I didn't liked it at all.
Samragyi Sajwan
Been this place several times, liked the ambience and service, price is reasonable, loved the shahi paneer, chicken do pyaza😍😍
It's easy to locate
Shreeansh Mairal
The place has one of the best tasting food in its price range in Dehradun. The whole main course is a delight to go through. With my favourite being the Mutton Biryani, one can also try the Chicken Rara with keema naan. To sum things up, Punjabi Essence is a great place to try your favourite north Indian delicacies.
Rohnit Bhagat
This is not one of the sure shot places to visit in town, but food quality is decent. The veg dishes are good are but not the non-veg ones. The non-vegetarian dishes are actually not up to the mark.
Mehul Singh Khandpur
Tried this place with my family for dinner. The interiors and food were good. The service was slow and Parking was a big issue
Food 3.5/5
Desserts 4/5
Ambience 4/5
The Famished Eater
This restaurant is quite famous among the people Of Dehradun and its a first choice that should come to your mind if jou want to savour delicious vegetarian abs non-vegetarian food under one roof. The ambience is quite good with adequate lighting and ample floor space.
We had Penner Tikka Masala which was had this unique blend of spiciness and sweetness. Another dish I would recommend is Panner Lababdar.
Melwyn Elango
Undoubtedly one of the best budget restaurant in Dehradun. It was the first restaurant I visited when I came here and it didn't disappoint me.
Dweepayan Mishra
Good food, good ambience not good service late food services but if one's going in a group doesn't really affect much to them. The restaurant though having most things checked up fails to make a mark since it lacks innovation. Punjabi essence is your just another restaurant you go to have a dinner with family since maybe changing hotels will land you to a bad place. Mediocre is the word I would use to represent The Punjabi Essence.
Agrim Chaudhary
The staff is polite !! Food is average ! Decent interiors ambience is good nothing too good about this place !! Everything is just average , non veg dishes are ok
Yashika-foodxoxo
Great party place. I recommend punjabi essesnce to hang out with family and friends. I me with Tasty food with pocket friendly experience for the first time.

As the mercury level dipped in the quintessential hillside, there was a sudden urge to gorge on some meat and what better than our very own Punjabi Essence. Add to that the fact, that a birthday party was pending, made more sense to visit this restaurant. As usual the service was amazing, apart from the incident where they declined card transaction because of network issues resulting in a panic among us( since none of us had enough cash and how we managed is a story that will be remembered for a long time😁).
Coming to the food, we had
*butter chicken(the obvious North-Indian dish, I don't know if its only me, but I find this dish to be the best served chicken dish in any restaurant) 4/5 seems to be more than enough.
* Punjabi essence special mutton( boy, oh boy! That was something. Amazing taste and quantity was sufficient for 3 people) 4.9/5 since 5/5 is so mainstream.
Overall, it was one of the better nights in the recent past with the holiday and what not! Cheerios...
Happy Hanukkah
Merry Christmas 🎅 &
A very Happy New Year
P.S. For pics look in the dineline uploaded them separately.

Been there, had that! I've practically had every dish on the menu, regarding the number of times I've visited. Be it a date, a friends birthday lunch or just a casual day out, it is THE place for anyone who wants proper North Indian food. It's a bit pricey but the food is worth it! I recommend chicken tikka gravy. Happy eating!
Archita Shalini
This place is like a visited spot on every UPES student's list! This place offers very good non-veg items. The starters are quite nice and the quantity of the main course food items is satisfactory. One can give his/her friends treat over any occasion without burning a hole in their pocket.

Living is a hostel miles away from home can make any one crave for good delicious mouthwatering food and so we decided to unload this hunger at this very place .......
For starters we didn't have much to choose from, but the mushroom dish we had was nice,
Then we had paneer lababdar which was as good as the name, talking about the malai kofta we had, the kofta was soft and rich but the kofta curry was out of the planet😍, yellow dal was light yet spicy the only disappointment was the Dal makhni, overall the food was good with a nice homie environment and the prices are really worth the food, the place is right there on the main road, overall it was a great experience and would like to come back again.
VALAR DOHAERIS...............

Went here quite a few times. The place is good with great food particularly the non vegetarian dishes. The staff is polite and co operative.

So we finally visit this place at this Sunday....nd as like the name of Punjabi essence the food was also yummy...we had ordered aloo dam,,daal tadka,,rumali roti,,steemed rice,, green salad,, and desert ...all r too yummy and well made.... ingredients are smoothly mixed-up and make a dish yummy...love this place..
Bhavya Datta
The place has a lot of hype. The ambience is good. The service is also good. Serves quality food. I have been here for quite a few times mostly for dinners. Chicken and paneer are very good. Veg jalfrezi is average. Overall a good meal for punjabi food lovers !

Punjabi essence had herd so much abut this place finally got to visit it on dussehra!
Went around 3:30 4 so the place was very empty with few tables reserved.... so seating was not an issue ...It's location is perfect as u locate it quickly and can park near UCB
Coming to the food tasty ....u mm Very tasty food indeed Indian is what I ordered
Service very slow I don't know y the staffs were all confused in them selves and dint hear or respond easily to what u said....
Ambiance is NYC but for old ppl it's difficult to climb so much and go up....
Pricing is average I ordered chicken rara paneer buttermasala garlic nans rumali rotis and 2 beverages. IT costed me 1000 bugs ....

Overall a decent place to visit with amazing place.... will definitely go again just what they need to do is quick service and sensible staffs.

Paneer butter Masala must try.....
Chicken rara too!
Surabhi Gupta
Although the food of the place is good but they don't justify their title of restaurant , couldn't find the essence of Punjab .
I have till date visited the place twice and both the time it was packed with people although it will not take much time for you to reserve seat.
Misha Bagga
A good decent place above the famous Tirupati ! This place has a good ambience but the staff is not too much aware about the intricacies of dishes present on the menu ! The staff had to ask the chef and get back to us bcz they did not know the minimum difference between a black bean sauce and schezwan sauce.
We ordered a variety of Indian and Chinese stuff ! Veg paneer lababdar along with tandoori breads and Hakka noodles with Chilli paneer was our dinner !
North Indian was averagely good but Chinese was exceptionally good in taste !
But the service was way too slow !
They should definitely train their staff regarding the various kinds of dishes they offer their guests !
Ankit Yadav
its a nice restaurant ..... tasty food ... spacious ..... its a great place to organize a get -together .... service is good.... but there is only one problem i.e parking vehicles.... no matter if its a two wheeler or four....
Jyotsna Thapliyal
A budget restaurant. Food is good. Ambience is not so good, not so bad. But the place feels a little cramped up at times. Also, there is no parking facility.
Gyanish Roy
Nice place to dine in. Located in the heart of the city Ashtley Hall. Just love the ambience and the food quality. Being foodie, just love butter chicken, it has got very different taste from other restaurant. I have visited so many times to this place that its just like family. All the working members are very much supportive. They make your visit like you are in your home only. Gusain Ji, you are too good and Ricky sir wishing you luck, अब एक The Punjabi Essence Delhi में भी open करवा दो | Missing it badly.

Thank You

Gyanish Roy
+91 8941 877 883
Vaibhav Sawhney
The tables are dangerously close to each other. As a result, most of the time here will be wasted listening to the bullshit from the neighboring table.

If that's not enough, the crappy food will make things worse for you, and will successfully ruin your day.

Suggestion - avoid the dosas and the fresh lime soda, in case you still decide to visit.
Utkarsh Kalwar
Essence of its food, taste fabulous!! I can never turn away my mind from its kadhai chicken & paneer tikka masala . Simply awesome ... N students you gonna get discount there . Enjoy

I've been a big fan of this restaurant since I began living in Dehradun a couple of years ago. As a student, I find this restaurant perfect whenever I wish to fine dine.

I'm a meat lover, and I'd suggest their non-vegetarian curries, especially their fabulous Special Chicken. (they serve two halves if you order a full, so bonus points for quantity).

Their kebabs and Afghani chicken are really mouthwatering. For a Hyderabadi like me, the Biryani was something I would have no problem tucking into.

The service was really good and the waiters have been really polite every time that I have dined. The décor and interiors are easy on the eyes and the restaurant actually gives off a very 'spacious vibe'.

This is really a no-brainer if you want to dine with your close friends or even a date. A restaurant even students would have no qualms experiencing given their prices for quality/quantity/service/ambience.

Akshit Khunger
A good place to hangout. Offers a good ambience and some great food. The interiors are done quite well. Coming to the food, It's a paradise feel for the Vegetarians, although it'll be an average experience if you order non-vegetarian. The quantity on the Non-veg main course items is comparitively less whereas the Veg items have a satisfying quantity. Paneer Tikka Masala, Dragon Paneer, Gold Corn Garlic Butter Sauce are the show stoppers. The only thing they need to improve on should be serving better chicken and avoid the rubbery chicken.
Jatin Hatwal
neither too good nor too bad @first time visit to this place ....quality of food is satisfactory ..... when it comes to non-veg .. expectation level rises as the name of restro is PUNJABI ESSENCE .. but it was a little disappointment bcz some portion of gravy was burnt ..... otherwise satisfactory ..
Aditi Rawat
I went here twice with my friends. We ordered paneer and chicken both the time and both the time paneer was tasty but chicken had burnt gravy. Even after we sent it back both times, the fresh one was almost similar to the returned batch. Also soup they served was terrible and oily.
Staff is alright. Place is hygienic and neat. They need to up their food game.
Anuraag Mitra
Perhaps the best place to eat in Dehradun at a reasonable price. The food was absolutely amazing. My friends and I were pretty pleased with the butter chicken and murg labbadar that was served to us. However, I would recommend that the fish could have been better. Shoal fish in Dehradun is pretty famous and it didn't live up to my expectation. All in all it is a good place to visit. The vegetarian category also has a number of delicacies that can be tried as well.
Rohan Chandna
Mushroom Tikka
Kalmi Kabab
Dum aalo
Dal fry
Vegetable jalfrezy
Are par awesome
Parking space is nill
That is a big big problem
Food is good
Freshness is there
Good interiors

The food was delicious.. the food was served within 10 minutes after the order was placed & aura of the place was just awesome..bit overpriced..
lassi is a must tryyyy.....
Akshit Gairola
This was a good restaurant before but now they have deteriorated the quality of the food to a great extent. We ordered butter chicken which tasted very bad and the gravy was too watery. Must go on your own risk.
Harbir Singh
Previously it was a good Non veg restaurant of Dehradun. But the yesterday experience was terrible. I went with my family for dinner, the starters were OK but dinner was third class. All foods (Chicken, Dal Make hand etc) was cold. The Naam, Roti etc were also cold and like RUBBER. The Lacha Parantha was actually not a Lacha Parantha.
I do not know what happened in this restaurant. Worst Experience of fooding yesterday.
Gargy Sarker Monterville
Was a good resturant for dinner. Food was good though not great but i loved the garlic sauce served. I don't know if that was a mistake or intentional that they gave mineral water, which was already open and never asked us if we needed. They took money of two mineral water never saw the bill until returning back. A very bad impression. Although food was good I'm not going back. Be careful and check your bill dont make the same mistake they are making fools.

"Punjabi Essence" as the name suggests offers uh d typical punjabi servings. The food here is just wow and is at reasonable price. The staff is so friendly and the ambience is great. This is a must go place.
Aayush Vohra
Punjabi essence has been the dinner destination for all the birthday parties of my friends for almost 3 years now. I have visited this place for more than 15-16 times now and the taste is still the same and superb. We usually order butter chicken, roasted chicken, mix vegetable, dal makhni, paneer pasanda, chana masala and in breads we order garlic naan, butter naan and laccha parantha. All these items are too delicious The chinese here is not that lip smacking( we ordered veg manchurian and chilly chicken and both were undercooked). Also the masala chaach is good. In all.. One of the best north indian restaurant in dehradun...and good location to spend quality time with friends, colleagues and family:)
Anshu Sagar
As the name itself says
The restaurant gives all the essence of punjab with its mouth watering delicacies of punjab .
No doubt the non vegetarian delights are mouth watering 😍 and vegetarian delicacies are no less !! The dal makhani and indian breads are ridiculously amazing !! It serves best the north indian delicacy !! In doon

Had gone to this place hoping it would be a real Punjabi experience but was a real disappointment. The food was nowhere close to the hot spicy tadka food we had expected.the dishes lacked masala and spices.ambience was good , service was good but finally its the food that matters which was such a let down

I don't know what to say about this worst ever restaurant. I visited today with my guest.when I enter I asked for 7 people table. They offered me six chair table and said one table will be added. We sat on it all the restaurant was empty all the table was vacant . We were not comfortable with this seating arrangements again I ask and told them we are not comfortable with this he said very rudely this is the only table you can sit.i don't know what to say they started argument with us I told them to call manager but they does not bothered it again I ask then they call. A stupid lady came I request her kindly call the manager she said manager will not come.then the attitude of the waiters we're get arrogant and they were shouting. I don't understand in hospitality business can a waiter shouts on customer? He said we allot the sit to customers. Nothing is selected by customers may be food also.if you want to sit then sit otherwise you can go they opened the door we just get away from the restaurant. This is the worst restaurant in India .staffs were full of arrogance and don't knot how to talk with the customer. I personally tell you don't go to this place a completely worst place never to go this place.

I went to this place a few days back along with my family.. The butter chicken was not up to the mark was little sweet though and the mushroom butter masala was okay. The price is little higher according to the quality of the food they serve.

the food quality is good and restaurant is also well located,m coming here since 3 years but had to discontinue due to very bad and hopeless behaviour of one of their staff i would recommend not to go to this restaurant as the staff is considerate in very bad manner.can see the pic of the staff person pic attached

This is a spacious restaurant at a busy place near Astley Hall. Do not have parking space as we parked the vehicles in the adjacent complex. The interior of this restaurant is well done and the food is equally good in taste and quantity.

Went with a couple of friends. Instinct said this one may be good among a string of various other restaurants. And viola!
The best paneer tikka masala Ive ever had anywhere! The flavour was so rich!
Though I'm a vegan, my friends enjoyed tangari kabab a lot!
Staff was courteous and helpful.
Taxes were bare minimal.
Bill was about ₹300 per person.

👍👍

A value for money restaurant if you are looking for a place to give a treat to your friends. Very nice food, the breads are excellent and very easy on the pocket. The overall ambience is decent and its a good family restaurant.

A good place for non-veg lovers. Ambience is very good. Staffs are well behaved. I had mutton biriyani with prawns. It was very good in taste. A bit high priced but upto the mark food.

On 28 March afternoon Me and my friends visited restaurant, sitting arrangement was good, one positive thing ...it is on Rajpur road......otherwise nothing was good including the food to service We ordered Jeera rice, Jhalfrengi ,Dal fry, pineapple raita, roti.Jhalfrengi was horrible..I was shocked by the reply of waiter when we asked for bowls. Can we imagine a restaurant without having bowls?wordings of waiter ------ Bowls nahi hai to kaha se dunn? the way he answered really shocking.Food quality average......... quantity average....price we paid 882.00 INR for 3 persons. I ll never advice anybody to visit this place.

ambiance is good.. but food is over hyped, As per me it is just average, there are many other places which concentrate more on taste then on presentation.. which here is good.. but the taste is equally just about average.. also the quantity of food offered per dish is just sufficient for 2 ppl, if u are 3 or more plz order 2 or three dishes.

Place is decent and the food becomes more palatable when it is the non vegetarian portion. The vegetarian option is equally good but the tandoori chicken was quite memorable. The ambience is fun considering that there are mostly college students around. Presentation of the food is good and it is quite light on pocket considering the maintained authenticity.
3.5/5 for me. :)
I stopped Dehradun on my way Delhi ans was looking for some good place to have Afghani Chicken and so was my bad luck that I came to this place. Had worst Afghani Chicken of my life. No tenderness of Afghani Chicken. Chicken didn't seem to be fresh. Seemed they nyay applied some paste to chicken and send. Never go there.

Food was adequate... It is quite spacious and the crowd is mostly college students... I found it funny how they are running a restaurant and don't have any bowls to offer, there was a stain on my table cloth too and the guy waiting my table had an attitude.. I don't know if I'll recommend or to anyone or go there again...
