Review Sammaan Restaurant - Dehradun

This place is iconic to me. Used to visit with my family from 2011 to 2017 frequently even my birthday party in childhood was done here.Taste was amazing for me, owner was very nice and friendly, price-reasonable. It's been long time i have visited restaurant, but I feel nostalgic seeing it and request for restaurant to come on zomato.

Being a South Indian travelling to Dehradun, I did not expect an amazing flavour of taste in the thali they offered. Unlike the South Indian Thali, the thali here has more of Roti and less of rice. The dal and sides that were offered with the Thali were amazing and mouth watering. I just had to wipe the plate clean as it was very amazing! This is a must visit hotel if anyone is coming to Dehradun! No wonder when we asked around everyone suggested this hotel! Just look at the way the food was plated for us! Hope this helped!

I have been to this place many times. I have always taken away my food and not dined-in. Food tastes fine and the prices are also reasonable. It's not a bad place to get your dinner or lunch from. Note - This place is near the railway station.

Great food, great service. Comfort food. Try there chilly mushroom, dal makhni, mix veg everything is superb.

A best place to visit with family has also added a lot in their menu Feel is home like and food is authentic and delicious Late night packings are also acceptable ...... Service is very good ☺️

My mother isn't fond of eating food from restaurants. I stumbled upon sammaan restaurant at least about 8years back. Not particularly fond of vegetarian food, but there isn't a single dish I tried and didn't like. It's as delicious as a home cooked meal. The best thing is my maa likes the food from here! Even better now that it's on Zomato! Easy family dinners sorted!

Good service, had no onion garlic menu also, owner is helpful, good taste , good place near railway station, for lunch breakfast and dinner, they also offer outdoor catering services

Loved this place...good food taste and quality. Ambience of the place is just okay. But nice place to have good food with ur family at reasonable prices. I loved the matar mushroom.. it's best and too delicious. Recently ordered kadhai paneer, chana masala with naan. Kadhai paneer was yummy and chana masala was good too. Also, variety of thalis are also available.

What I had .. aaloo paratha nd tea Paratha stuffed nicely and as per my requirement cook prepared it in low oil. Again in noon I preferred dal-tadka n tandoori roti. I quite like the taste...

The worst food of the restaurant....Their food is not adequate...Their number is not available ....I ordered food yesterday and my father ate the food and he is suffering from loose motions...I want to raise a complain against the Hotel...

Guys maine aaj food order kiya ise restaurant se worse and uncooked food serve to me.....and zomato not refunding my money...i think this restaurant must be shut down....aloo palak so bitter in taste never go with this restaurant friends plzzzzz

Honestly, the first two times I ordered from this place, it was fine. But this time the food was really bad, we found an insect probably a cockroach floating in the curry dish and it was definitely stale as it had a foul smell. Had to throw it all away. Never going to order again from here.

I had ordered Kadhai Paneer and Shahi Paneer also 10 Roti 2 Naan. the food taste was worst salt is very low nd chilly is very high and food very delaye in delivery.

deleivery boy was not familiar with the way and was not having change still asking for good rating. So we recommend to improve the service as per requirement.

Utterly useless and poor food. I ordered for chilli mushroom and the masala mushroom delivered to me. The most useless and cheapest experience with restaurant chef and owner. The owner does not know how to talk with customer. They just mean by their money. They are serving indian chilli mushroom. They don't know about the origin of food, serving their own favourite recipe, there is no care of customer's choice. I suggest you people never visit there. Bad experience with food and owner. I will never suggest my family, my colleagues and my friends to visit there. It was really too bad experience bcoz i talked with chef and ask him please don't repeat same mistake again but i really didn't know that "chef or restaurant owner ने नयी रेसिपी की खोज की है, chilli indian mashroom", i think they have different and best recipes for masala mashroom because according to them masala mashroom is chilli indian mashroom...

It is an absolute loot over here at Samaan restaurant I ordered half plate paneer pasanda through zomato on 6/6/2019 and what I received was just one piece of paneer kindly avoid this restaurant if you do want to get cheated !!

Ordered food from them. First thing I noticed was that it wasn't packed properly and some of it was spilling out of the containers. The paneer tikka masala barely had any paneer in it while the gravy for the kofta tasted weird. The rest of the food was okay.

My experience with this restaurant food is not that much good as I expected.naan were burnt and the main course taste was ok.in all it is not a money worth deal

Paneer me lgta nhi ki paneer khha rhe hai #Tasteless. Biryaani is Good. Lekin dobara isme dale huye paneer me koi taste nhi. Paneer dishes ki gravy achchhi hai.

One day I ordered they offered good food but today when I ordered same dish .. they make mesh of the it not upto the mark , .. if you have a good choice. Chnge the restaurant...<br/><br/>

Very good quality being served here, great place for family! You'll love to be here as the quantity and quality both are great. Do try punjabi thali which will burst your stomach if you eat full !
