Review One Cup Coffee Cafe &restaurant - Dharamkot

Well I was surprised to find south Indian food this up the mountain, but there it is. The cafe owners wife is mallu and he dedicated this small cafe to her. The whole decor seems like you have walked into a old house in kerala. Walls are adorned with beautiful paintings. Low seating with cushions and table. Dimly lit warm toned lights that contribute to the experience. We ordered masala dosa, uttappam and sambar vada, and my favorite filter coffee which was the best thing so far. They make good tea as well. Food tasted good but lacked salt according to me. Overall a good cafe to get some south Indian food.

Delicious Kerala food! We ordered below items from the menu. Although menu have varied types of food but we visited the place for its authentic Kerala food in the Mountains of Upper Dharamkot. On a side note - The taxi goes directly to the place for the people who does not want to trek almost 2.5 km from the main square of McLeodganj to dine-in here. The food were freshly prepared, very healthy and scrumptious that we forgot to take pictures of all the dishes we ordered. Authentic Kerala taste. The staff were smiling faces, courteous and accommodating. We ordered - Appam with black gram curry One Cabbage bhaji One Vegetable Stew One plate Dosa ( forgot to take picture) Veg thali (forgot to take picture). We will be coming back soon more hungry :-)

This is best place to eat Kerela’s authentic food in Himanchal Pradesh. We had idli, masala dosa and utpam. The softness and freshness is all one could ask for. Highly recommended if you are near Dharamkot. Hemant bhai, the owner of this place will make you feel welcomed and at home. You will also get to know his inspiring story.

When visiting South India we often notice that their culture is very Indian in terms of serving food with love and not focus on money. This place does excellent that. They serve authentic South Indian food with love without any greed. Hemant and Anju are really kind people who loves feeding people with warmth. One cup coffee has good food, reasonable price, great service.
