Review Tibet Kitchen - Dharamsala

Samarth Karmarkar
Delicious food. Must visit for Tibetan and Asian Cuisine and they make the best Boba Tea as well. Superb experience in the hustle of streets at McLeod Ganj.

Hands down the best meal we have had in McLeod Ganj/Dharamshala. We ordered a bunch of Tibetan dishes to share for the table - Fry Thentuk (sort of like the Thai Pad Kemau), Mokthuk (dumpling soup), Shapta (Lamb stir fry) and the cloud-like, fluffy Tingmo bread. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were huge! Definitely coming back here again!!

Known as one of the best restaurant for Tibetan food, the restaurant boast of some authentic Tibetan cuisine apart from other cuisines. Tried the Tibetan thali, it was good. The food quality is fine and taste good. Price is a bit on the higher side. Overall a nice experience.
Mayank Jain
The food is very tasty, service was not up to the mark. I had tried Tibetan veg thali at this place. All the items very really good. Manchurian and noodles were spot on. Momos and Tingmo were also super tasty. But the dish that was the star was Ema datsu, it was super delicious. Please do not try their bubble tea.
Kainat Panjwani
We had a late lunch, I must say, the ambience is lovely and the food is very, very good. If you are here, you must try the tandoori chicken momos, the thukpa (veg/chicken). Do not miss the Tibetan thali, we had the chicken thali, chili chicken in the thali was to die for, so was everything else! So good! Also, do not miss the Boba tea. We had the matcha boba tea and it was awesome. Do visit! The service is quick and the staff is polite. Thank you for having us, Tibet kitchen. Will definitely visit again.
Nishant Misra
The taste and portions of food is good. Ask about the dish before ordering, otherwise you may get very bland dish. The hygiene and cleanliness is not well maintained. The seating for dinner is upto 3 floors.
Jonathan Neal
I had thukpa and momo for 300 rupees total. It was delicious. I ate here twice. It also has many lovely pictures with His Holiness featuring lots of his famous pieces of wisdom. Highly recommend.

Visit to Mcleodganj is incomplete with visiting this gem. Fresh preparations with aromatic food. Momos & Thupka are all-time favourites. Tried Mutton Thali for the first time on recommendation, mutton prepared in cheeze and Mutton Momos were great. Fruit beers are evergreen. Courteous & happy staff makes the experience memorable.
Salil Khosla
Probably one of the best meals we have had in the longest time! Do yourself a favor and order from the Tibetan menu only. We had the fry thentuk (it's like pad kemau), Mothuk (momo soup), shapta(lamb chops) and tingmo(bread). The lamb was tender and extremely flavorful. Went really well with the bread. The momos in the Mothuk had the right mix of crunch and softness and the broth itself was divine. As a bonus for the kids they also have bubble tea. This is truly a hidden gem and I cannot recommend this place enough!
Saiteja Kintali
One of the Best food places to try Tibetan food in Mcloed ganj...The food is mouth watering too and Not expensive also... Must try.... We ordered Thenthuk, Ramen, Chicken Thukpa Fried and Chicken Dhatse was above all....
Shubhranshu Agrahari
One of the best in Maclodganj, try Momos, Thupka and other Tibetan cuisine here. Ambience is very traditional and service is also very good, they have both indoor and outdoor sitting available. The price is quite on the upper side but the quantity and taste justifies it. The place is usually crowded.

It's a nice cozy, well organized restaurant that offers good Tibetan as well as Indian food. Loved the ginger lemon with honey tea, it's just awesome. The food was great and the service was good. It's a comfortable place that offers space in an otherwise congested and narrow road in Mall road, MacLeodganj. They have a ground floor, first and second floor and all of these floors are kept clean and maintained nicely. Superb for travellers who need some fresh space and a comfortable break during the walkthroughs in the hills.
Paridhi Sharma
The food is good and affordable. It offers a huge variety and the quality is top notch. It is located in the main market, Mall road of Mcleodganj. Manchurian with soy sauce is the cornerstone of the restaurant. Do try it.

One of the best restaurant in McLeod Ganj FOOD - Me and my friends had Tibetan Thali, mutton, momos, chicken Thukpa, and few more dishes, and needless to say all the dishes were delicious and flavourful. AMBIENCE- the place has the vibe to drive your cravings unless your food arrives. It has two floors and the upper floor has an outdoor seating. SERVICE AND STAFF -Apart from food and ambience, service and the staff is also prompt and proactive respectively. ** if you are travelling to Mcleodganj , then make sure this restaurant is on your food list.
Chitralekha Samanta
This is a highly recommended place to eat Tibetan food especially Tibet thali. The price is very reasonable and the portion size is also good enough.

I recently visited this Tibetan Cafe in macloedgand and it was amazing! The momos were delicious and the thukpa was flavorful. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend!"
Nitin Choudhery
Ambience is cozy, staff is quiet and decent. Restaurant is neat and clean. Their mutton dishes are amazing. Esp., mutton thenthuk, mutton sha phaley, thukpa, mutton momos are so juicy, fat flowing in the first byte 😍😍😍🤤🤤

Most crowded place I visited while in McLeodganj because of the location. They offer both type of sitting: at floor as well as on chair.<br/><br/>Good food. We tried Tibetan delicacies like Thupka, Momos, honey chilly potatoes.<br/>Also ordered some indian cuisine and that was equally good.

Was on my 10th trip to mcleodganj with family friends..... Tibet Kitchen..... after eating chicken Thupka (my favorite Tibetan dish) at your place I now get to understand Y Rocky and Mayur (HOMP.. Highway on my plate) visited NORLING restaurant and not yours...<br/><br/>Norling restaurant is down the same lane near post off.... it's a bit simple place... BUT serves The Best Original Thukpa in the town...

In Mcleodganj and searching for the best place to have authentic Tibetian food, look nowhere and head straight to Tibet Kitchen.<br/>This is your best bet to have Tibetian food in its truest form, they have an extensive menu serving Indian, South Indian, Tibetian and even Italian dishes but go for their options in the Tibetian food section and I bet you will not be disappointed.<br/><br/>Right from soups to Momos, you will be amazed with the quality of food they serve.<br/><br/>Must have: Veg Steamed Momos, Cheese Fried Momos, Hot and Sour Soup<br/><br/>Quality: 4<br/>Quantity: 4<br/>Taste: 4<br/>Ambiance: 4<br/>Price: 3.8

I had been here with a group of friends. The place is right at the market Chowk. The ground floor is being renovated but they have 2 upper floors for dining. They serve tibetian and Bhutanese dishes as well. This is the best place for a pocket friendly and delicious meal in mcleodganj.
Ishan
Heared a lot about this place and then came here to try and tried the Thupka and its really amazing. didn't get a chance to try more options but for sure will try more very soon.
Pragya Pathak
I really love prawns 🦐 . This place has such a crispy and amazingly cooked prawns , I just loved it
Karnika Chandna
This resturant is really good having a huge seating area, the menu was quite impressive. we ordered for Chilly chicken and shezwan noodles the chilly chicken was really tasty the<br/>Noodles lacked salt flavour but tasted good with the gravy, liked it overall.
Ruhane K Anand
It has been our family favorite since years but now their food quality has deteriorated so much. Me and my sister literally puked after eating from here & caught stomach flu🤢🤮. PLEASE AVOID going here if you want to stay well & enjoy your trip. Opt for other better options around like Papa whiskey etc...😇
Manas Arora
Began the meal with good thupka but everything went downhill after that. Both mutton & chicken momos were uncooked, and upon returning them the chicken momos were ok but the mutton momos were a nightmare. While giving a feedback to the manager, he was absolutely rude & arrogant. Never coming back here again, and I simply don't understand why it has good ratings. Absolutely not recommended.
Upasana Sanyal
Absolutely fell in love with the thukpa Momos are perfection!<br/>The deserts carrot cake, brownies and lemon cheese cake a perfect accompaniment on a cold night :)
Sakshi Singh
The crepe was just amazing
Ritika Kalra
Heard a lot about the place and landed here on hearsay and wasn’t disappointed. Infact we were glad we tried it out. Leaving the thupka aside, as there were mixed reviews and better places to have it, we ordered for drums of heaven or chicken lollypops in Chinese style with delicious fruit beer to call it a day! (Menu is huge by the way) Our meal was great, served hot and well shareable amongst the two of us. Loved it and would highly recommend the place. Our adjacent table ordered for typical North Indian fare with garlic naans and tandoori chicken and just say, it looked good! <br/>We were too full, but there’s always a next time. Took one fruit beer for the road before leaving. Would love to visit again.

The momos here are not recommended at all. Service is too slow.
Yogita Nangia
The perfect restaurant in Mcleodganj ! <br/>The seating area is nice , they have 3 floors so there is enough seating . <br/>Their menu is huge , so many options to choose from !<br/>Everything is so nice & every item tasted good !<br/>Do try carrot cake & banana cake here & also steam momos.
Rahul Anand
Situated near main chowk, good place to have Tibetan and Bhutanese cuisine, ordered sha pahley,Emma dusty and Tibetan bread, excellent.

I loved dining at this Tibetan restaurant during my stay in Dharamshala. A nice restaurant spread over three-levels. The servers are friendly and courteous. Check out their bakery, for the baked goodies of the day. This place can get crowded during lunch, dinner hours. A nice place to stop by for a coffee, and a bite. <br/><br/>Food Review: <br/><br/>Veg Steamed Momo: Mountains & momos go hand in hand. The momos were soft and tasted great with the dips.<br/><br/>Veg Thukpa Soup: Tibetan noodles soup with lots of veggies. Portion size is huge and can be shared by two people. <br/><br/>Lemon Cheese Cake: Delicious<br/><br/>Recommended to all traveling foodies.<br/><br/>Must-Try: Thukpa Soup, Lemon Cheese Cake, Peach ice-tea<br/><br/>----PLEASE DO NOT WASTE FOOD----<br/><br/>Love,<br/>Riya

Ideal place in McLeodganj for Indian tourists!!<br/>Please don't visit Jimmy's, Lhamos.<br/>The ONLY place to have a great Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Tibet Kitchen on Jogiwara Road is one such eatery. This cozy restaurant is famous for the wide range of dishes that the menu has to offer. The items are typical Tibetan dishes. You can try the delicious Thukpa, piping hot Momos and steamed Vegetable Dumplings. Rich in taste, the items will definitely satiate your hunger. You will often find the eatery occupied with monks and fellow tourists to this scenic city.
Aishwarya Warrier
Loved this place. Came down here to have carrot cake especially as someone had recommended that, I would definitely recommend carrot cake, it's a must try here. The fruit beer is too good and so are the noodles. Momos perfectly suited my taste. Would definitely like to come again.
Rahul Malhotra
Staff dont have the sense to talk with customer, Fisrtly my order was late, second when asking for order and told them we have to go then we got a rude answer like you can go if you in hurry.. Seriously suggest no one.
Neha Mahajan
The food is ok. But overall service is quite bad. We were constantly told that food will take half an hour to prep and there are mainly 2 items on the menu that we could order. Whatever we asked for was finished - even their staple item - Tibetan bread. It felt really odd sitting at this place - especially when we are locals from Dharamshala<br/><br/>Even while entertaining the restaurant we were told that there is no place to sit. But they allowed a foreigner to get in. When we asked them bluntly if foreigners were allowed and not us, they asked us to wait and we got a table in 5 min<br/>Very very sad exp coming here

Fancy , crowded and authentic. yes , right on the main square it offers amazing food, Try any Tibetan dish from the menu and it won’t disappoint you , Thukpa was delicious !
Shubhankar Ghoshal
Wonderful ambience and good food, the crowd is nice. Recommended for a bite if visiting dharamshala.
Nidhi Nahata
This place has a good ambience. The food is also good with reasonable price. It also offers a variety in food and a good service. It is in the market area which makes it easily reachable.

Awesome place to have food. No matter you are looking for Tibetan or north Indian — this place haa got everything superb. The food is damn tasty. Must try is american choupsy and their lemon beer. Not too priced fits everyone’s budget.
Rahul Kapoor
Though the service time was a bit on the higher side, but the food there was delectable. I went there to have some very "recommended chicken momos" and I wasn't disappointed. We also tried the spinach & cheese momos and the noodles, the cheese momos were not that great since it was stuffed with spinach only. All in all I was pretty happy with the food and the prices. Would like to try other dishes, the next time I come here.
Shaileen Sehgal
It's the best place in Mcleodganj, do try out their Tibetan cuisine .<br/>Their flat noodles and thukpa are a must try.<br/>For people looking for North Indian food, try out their mutton curry and mutton handi.
Smita Raikar
I came to know about this place while digging up for best mcleodganj restaurant for tibetian food<br/><br/>Well we came up with best option<br/><br/>It is little cozy place , crowded<br/><br/>We tried chicken momos and vegetable fried rice<br/><br/>Momos were delicious and heavy<br/><br/>We were done finishing 8 momos. They are quite big<br/><br/>Wonderful experience<br/><br/>Must visit if you are in mcleodganj<br/><br/>
Mr. Foodie
Food was ok. Nothing great. Tried momos and shakham datse. Both the dishes were average. The place was completely packed and service was quick

Smack in the heart of McLeodganj, amazing food. the thingmo, thukpa and flat noodles are a must try. All the Tibetan dishes are lovely and the staff is helpful in choosing from the menu. Go with an experimental palate and don't miss the carrot cake

If you want to experience authentic Tibetan food, this definitely is the place. We ordered a plate of Sha Bhaklab (big fried Tibetan dumpling), Menchi Thukpa and Mutton Pokchoy along with a Tingmo bread.<br/>Lip-smacking!<br/>Tip: Get a seat on first or second floor for a nice view and also for the low seating tables for the wholesome Tibetan experience.<br/><br/>Tibetan Food - 5<br/>Other food items - 4<br/>Ambience - 5 (upstairs), 2.5 (downstairs)<br/>Service - 4

Delicious and flavourful. The dumplings were fab. We tried chicken thukpa and thengtuk. Thengtuk noodles were the dish of the day for me. Would have tried out more if I had space in my tummy!

#tibetiancuisine<br/><br/>When u want to enjoy a good bowl of thukpa, this is the place one should try out in mcleodganj. The resturant is located in the main square.<br/>We had ordered fried chicken Momo, Veg Momo, Veg and chicken thukpa and there very own famous fruit beer.<br/>Apart from the veg Momo which tatsed bit blant and tasteless. Rest of all the dishes was great.<br/>Needless to say the have great service.
The Hungry Surdie
The place is situated in the heart of mcleodganj in its in main market.<br/>The ambiance is quite unique or u can say a typical Tibetan ambiance.<br/>Staff n owner was very polite n helping as we had no idea what menu states.so they described each dish we asked for .<br/>So finally we decided what to order.<br/>Chilly chicken sizzler:- sauces which they used in preparation was not the regular one i guess or might be they are using the best sauces . Coz being a delhieght we generally got a fusion of chinese n punjabi chilly Chicken.<br/>That was served with a portion of crispy french fries.<br/><br/>Chicken steam momos. Ab delhi mein rehte ho aur mcleodganj k momos na khaao aisa ho hi nahi sakta.<br/>Very thin layer of dumping wrapper n filled with juicy chicken n filling was also consist of green onion garlic n ginger which we generally dont get in our regular momos.<br/><br/>We also had lemon beer and peach beer<br/>Beer was just a name.<br/>Actually that was carbonated lemon ice tea n peach ice tea. Both the drinks were highly carbonated and taste was really really good.<br/><br/>Instagram.com/thehungrysurdie<br/>Facebook.com/thehungrysurdie

Dinner at Tibet Kitchen was one of the better meals I had on my Himachal trip. The highlight of the meal was the Ema Datse and the Kung Pao Chicken was quite good as well. We ordered a chilly pork which was a little chewy so I did not have any of that!<br/><br/>Overall a fairly nice meal and I would recommend.
DelhiFoodTwist
Favorite place in McLeodganj to have meal at. The place is mostly crowded in the peak season. The momos and cheesy chicken gravies are a must try. The service is fast and the food is mouth watering. Looking forward to visit here again soon.

I was no stranger to Tibet Kitchen’s name when I arrived at McLeodganj. Seeing that this place generates quite the buzz, I decided to try this place out with my friends. This place does not have taste extraordinaire per se, but the taste provided is very authentic still. <br/><br/>Among the many things we ordered, we found the Datse along with Tibetan bread to be a distinguished dish and very fresh in terms of the things we’d already tried before. The drinks at this place need some work and though they looked promising, weren’t quite unto the mark. <br/><br/>It’s a hustling-bustling eatery teeming with people in evenings, so the intricacies of decor and ambience don’t really come into the play but that being said it levels decently in terms of this too. All in all, give this place a visit if you’re around McLeodganj Main Square.

The Tibetan Kitchen was a surprising dining experience we were delighted with. The staff is interactive and extremely helpful with the suggestions to people unfamiliar to Tibetan cuisine. Surprisingly, there North Indian offerings surpassed our expectations. The mutton thali was a sumptuous delicacy that filled more than three diners. The thentuk at Tibetan Kitchen was my first ever and it introduced me to tibetan cuisine beyond momos and thukpa. The glass noodles were perfectly cooked. The red Thai curry on the menu however was not the authentic red Thai curry offered at Thai restaurants. It was lighter in color of appearance and had peas added to it. Nonetheless it was a good experiment with coconut curry. The most delicious offering on the menu was the blackberry ice tea that had us order more than just one for each diner. Their peach beer is an unexpected elixir that one must order when at the Tibetan Kitchen. The food was affordable and we visited twice.

It was a fine experience here. We wanted to have authentic Tibetian food and hence chose this restaurant. It is located in the centre of the city. We ordered fried and steamed chicken momos and thukpa. The service was good and fast.

अकेले निकल पड़ा घर से कुछ अच्छा खाने के लिए और पहुंच गया Mcleodganj. Mcleodganj में पहले दिन का lunch मैंने #tibetkitchen में किया। Food was as usual, good. वैसे मैंने fried momos, chicken thukpa and fruit beer order किया था, जोकि बहुत अच्छा था। This is must go place in mcleodganj to eat good food.

Reached here after being out in the rain on a cold day, and were thoroughly warmed by their steaming chicken thukpas. The portions were huge, even after we made them 2 by 4, with generous helpings of veggies and chicken. Prices are pretty reasonable. Would have given five stars, had we tasted more things here, but a big thumbs up to them.
Paras
I really liked this place. Went here with my family and we had a nice meal. Dimsums are a must try for this food outlet. I also tried thukpa which was also delicious. In Chinese there was alot of variety available, I tried chilli paneer and fried rice. Do try this outlet guys.

As the name of tibet kitchen comes in must visit place in mcleodganj. We reached the place in good rainy day<br/>And ordered veg thupka and momos. Food was ok not much great atleast for vegeterian and momos were cold

Polite staff. Affordable dishes. Most important, all the dishes we ordered were delicious, including the drinks. It is definitely a place you should visit while being in this side of town.

Do not ever try the food in this restaurant<br/>They don't care even if you complain, No hygiene maintained, filthy fouled mycky place...unethical<br/>irresponsible staff....
Renthunglo
Waited almost 1 hour for one order. The service was pathetic.. the servers sat and chatted on the last table. I even reminded 3 different servers about our 1 lame plate of fried mutton momo. Sad because this is one place I looked forward to since it was my second trip to mcleodganj. Never coming back to this restaurant 👎. They didn’t even have the courtesy to apologise!! Don’t go here unless you need a place to waste your time. There were only 2 tables that needed to be served it wasn’t even a busy day for them. If it was I would have understood... Pathetic 👎👎👎👎
Rahul Chawla
Okay place not bad sitting is good food is okay okay momos are mix some are good some are eatable so after mckloo , four seasons, Jimmy Italian kitchen and German bakery and Shiva cafe you can try this.

Tibet kitchen is one of the most famous restaurants in McLeod ganj. You get authentic Tibetan food here and everything very nicely presented. Located very near to the main square on jogiwara road.<br/><br/>Quite a big restaurant as compared to other restaurants in the area. Seating on upper floors is also available.<br/><br/>I have been here quite a few times and a big fan of their mutton momos. So juicy and properly stuffed. They give a serious competition to momos served at Norling restaurant.<br/><br/>Have also tried their petsel fry and mutton petsel. Petsel is chinese spinach, as people call it here, fried in butter and garlic with a pinch of salt. Tasted very good.<br/><br/>Mutton petsel was good too.<br/><br/>Have tried their lemon honey tea and sparkling lime mint as well. Sparkling lime mint was good but a bit extra sweet. Soda/water can be added to dilute the sweetness.<br/><br/>Reasonably priced.<br/><br/>Ambience is good. Recommended place.<br/><br/>

Nice n place gud spinach n cheese momos n veg thupka dam gud but need to improve in timmo bread which is bit hard rest all dishes are gud n reasonable price

This is one of the most talked about places in the town famous for its authentic delicacies. Its located in the main square itself and one can easily spot the place. We went in with super excitement and grabbed a seat.<br/><br/>INTERIOR- They have seatings in three floors with really classy and comfortable ambience. The place is well lit and offers a nice environment overall.<br/><br/>FOOD- A wide range of dishes are available but as we wanted to have something authentic so we ordered Mutton momos, spinach and cheese momos, chicken shakam datse and tingmo.<br/>Muttin momos- Very flavourfull with properly cooked mutton stuffed in it.<br/>Spinach and cheese momos- Not everyday you get to choose from a wide range of momos so why not. The spinach and cheese were so well blemded together which made it taste better.<br/>Chicken shakam datse- Its basically a bhutanese dish which is chicken, vegetables in white sauce. It was light but flavourfull. The vegetables were cooked well.<br/>Tingmo- Its a kind of bread. Tasted great withhe shakam datse.<br/><br/>Overall experience was really good to this place. The staff was very helpfull and helped us with loyalty in ordering our food.

Located totally at the main square, this restro serves a lot of authentic tibetian cuisine.. A small cozy seating at the first floor with enjoyable coffee aroma.. We ordered padthai noodles, two cold coffee, americano expresso and laphings out of which laphings were unavailable which was a little disappointing.. But must say the first cold coffee that we ordered had such a strong n nice coffee flavour that we ordered it again but kinda was like not so pleased with the second one don't know what happened.. Pad thai noodles was good and nice, the main reason we went there.. Would have loved to taste the popular laphings also

The authentic Tibetan cuisine prevalent in these regions were deliciously cooked. To be honest, I've never had more fresh and juicier chicken momos anywhere in the whole wide world. Good service and ambience for the cost of food. It's built across three floors, so there is ample seating space. It's located right at the Mcleodganj Square, the most happening place in the tiny town. Pro tip: don't order biryani. Deducting one star because they givr a plastic straw with cold drinks without being asked for. Otherwise, a place worthy of 5 stars.

One of the great place to have peaceful and delicious lunch near Dharmashala..Tibet Kitchen..!<br/><br/>Calm & Cool Ambience, Pleasant atmosphere, soothing interior with nice quotes of Dalai Lama & Painting.<br/><br/>Hospitality at it's best..! We had Tingmo - a fresh tibetan baked bread with mouthwatering Paneer Chilly gravy. It's just yummy.<br/><br/>Do visit when you are nearby Mcleodganj for fingerlicking delicious food..!!<br/><br/>Kuddos to the team..! All the best..!!
Wandering Foodie
The most authentic Ema Datshi I have ever had. The food was in such a huge quantity that one simply cannot finish it alone. The overdose of cheese in my food was so much sleep inducing.<br/><br/>The restaurant is right near McLeod square so it is not tough to locate.
Joana Silva
Ambience is good and it gives you a good place to have your meal at the end of the day.<br/>It's easy to find table.<br/><br/>We went there cause of momos... And we were expecting more from them. Spicy chutney isn't really spicy and momos needs to be improved.<br/><br/>Thupka was ok, still we felt that some seasonings were missing to the dish.<br/><br/>Staff is friendly and courteous.
Aruna Rambade
This place is best if you're looking for some authentic Tibetan and Bhutanese cuisine. We tried chicken thukpa, a Tibetan dish and Shamu Datse, a Bhutanese dish with Tingmo(Tibetan). Chicken Thukpa was fulfilling and I felt like it's my soul food. This restaurant is a must try if you ever visit Mcleodganj.
Rajiv Vassanji
The restaurant is really famous and right at the square of Mcleodganj, due to which attracts lots of foreigners. The seating arrangement and interior decoration is reasonable. I ordered Veg momos + hot and sour soup, both dishes were average. The service was quick. The toilet needs some betterment and to modernize as its old style latrin.Overall ok.
Shristi Kamal
The food was very delicious and authentic.it was spicy af and the soup was very good.momk were soft and jui y..perfect combination of dip and the momo
Asha JS
I really don't know how this place got a 4 rating.<br/>We went there around 2.00 p.m. and asked for Steamed Chicken Momos but it was unavailable so second thing we asked or rather they suggested Mutton Momos Steamed.<br/><br/>It came out not that piping hot as I felt they just warmed it and served to us. It was not good period.<br/><br/>Might be good for soups or noodles but Momos was total tun off over here.<br/><br/>Over here not happy eating..........:-(
Saipoornima Madiwal
The food here is extremely authentic and bland how it's supposed to be, if you're looking for something filled with spice it's not the place to go.<br/><br/>It's a small cozy restaurant that serves a real good quantity of thukpa.<br/><br/>The chicken momos are worth trying<br/>I'd totally give it 5/5
Nidhi Thakur
A very expansive menu offering something for everyone is the reason I pick this place for bigger groups. They have everything from Indian to Tibetan and Bhutanese. Very consistent in taste too. My personal favorite is the Shamu Datse from the Bhutanese menu. I make it a point to either have it or pack it for home every time I'm visiting McLeod Ganj.
Divya Makhija
This a small cosy restaurant. Good for families to visit. They have good options to choose from. There's Chinese, Bhutanese, and Tibetan variety. The Chicken Thukpa was good. Taste was very mild but we enjoyed it as it was very light on our stomachs. The Fry Thenthuk was also flavorful and filled with lot of veggies. We'll tossed in sauces and not too spicy. Overall head a good experience.
Sunny Bhan
If you want to explore authentic Bhutanese , Ladakhi or Tibetan cuisine this is the right place. Prices are economical and servings are generous and food is delicious. For drinks i would recommend Honey Ginger Lemon tea and Tibetan tea . Tibetan tea is made from butter and is bit heavy and salty in taste. Must try Bhutanese food is Kewa(potato) Datse and Shamo(mushroom) Datse which are cheese based gravy dishes accompanied with rice. Thukpa was also tasty.
Dharmil Halvadia
Right in centre of McLeod square, so many dishes and cuisines to choose from. We had Bhutanese and Tibetan dishes, both were very good. So many varieties which I didn't see in other restaurants and still not expensive relatively! Very fast service unlike other local restaurants which are mostly very slow. Only thing I'd wish if they'd improve on hygiene, didn't look upto the mark
Varun Barla
On our last day in McLeodganj, we wanted to try some Tibetan food. The place is bang in the middle of the market. We ordered the famous thupka and chicken on the side. The thupka was delicious and quantity sufficient for two. The chicken was really tasty. Would definitely recommend.
Plateopedia
I think half of my trip to mcleodganj was amazing because I was able to have fresh tasty food from different corners of the valley. One such junction where you can have the best meals with your family/friends is TIBET KITCHEN.<br/><br/>I always emphasize on how the ambience and vibes doesn't matter much if the food is really good. If it is fresh, healthy, tasty and served hot. This restaurant to be specific has proved me right. They don't have a great ambience that will make you run towards it but once you've been here, you'll know that my words are true.<br/><br/>So when we were trying to figure out the location of this place. One of the local ladies that we happened to talk to said to us that this is a really good place to go to if you wanna try really tibetian food.<br/>The person who we were supposed to give our order to explained us each and everything about every mean with utmost sincerity, passion and patience. He helped us choose the right meal and we were all set.<br/><br/>The first dish to arrive was SHABAKLAB. It is a kind of enlarged fried mutton momos which juicy and crunchy.<br/><br/>Followed by Shabaklab was FRY THENTHUK. It was pasta sort of a thing with loads of fresh vegies and chicken. I enjoyed having vegetables more than I enjoyed have the chulen pieces. The pasta was soft and creamy but the veggies were crunchy and juicy.<br/><br/>The third and fourth dishes were complements. TINGMO and EMA DATSE they were. Tingmo is basically baked. Ema Datse to describe in a layman's language is white paste sauce except that it is less thick and has more fresh crunchy and juicy vegetables. Tingmo is to be dipped in emadatse and then have it with the veggies.<br/><br/>I love their concept of having veggies and fresh-healthy food. No wonder these people stay so fit. Healthy food and climbing the mountains keeps them like that.<br/><br/>Anyway in total my experience was nothing less than a bliss. :)<br/>

I went there thrice in a span of 1 day. Yes, this place is THAT good. This place is right on the main square, with the reception being manned by a sweet girl.<br/>I could try their Shakam datse, with rice; mutton petsel fry, tingmo with pork paa. The shakam datse is a thing of beauty , as is the pork paa. Everything was delicious. My guess is,their entire menu might be good as they are always crowded, with even locals eating there.<br/>They are open till 9.30 at night. Dig in!

We had the veg steamed momos, thukpa, datse & the steamed buns out of which the momos stole the show! They were generously stuffed with cheese & veggies & perfectly steamed & simply delicious!

A friend of mine suggested this place to me and since it wasn't too far from the hotel I was staying I visited this place with my friends for lunch. They served the best food we had on our trip. All the dishes were not only served hot and tasty but had a perfect representation too. Quality as well as quantity were worth the money. The staff was friendly too. They suggested different dishes to us and also conversed well with us. The ambiance was great too.A must visit place for sure!

By far a good place to sit and have good meal and conversations. Must try the Momo's preferably the steamed one along with butter tea or lemon beer. We ordered Korean Glass noodles and Shakam Datse for main course. The noodles was well done but the Datse was a bit too cheesy nevertheless the taste was great. Would recommend other bhutaneses dishes too.<br/><br/>

Visited on January 5 and had dal makhni and veg kadhai. Their Nan's are very big but could be softer. Overall good place to eat. Waiter was very calm and polite. Chow mein is very tasty and colour is very good.

A first time experience with the proper tibet food, the place is cozy and the people here are so like-sweet and friendly.<br/>We had thukpa, korean noodles, lung fungsoup and one tingmo-which is a local bread, ir was so delicious and was worth the try.<br/>After having the food, we had a pleasant talk with the staff in there, they were too eager to share their country's (tibet) culture and etc.etc.<br/>Overall, this place is must a go if you are nearby this area, and yes, the food will leave you speechless, believe me!

It’s again a restaurant which is a peaceful place to be. Its crowded at times still they have made a fairly good experience inside.<br/><br/>The service is fair. Not too hood not too bad.<br/><br/>Food we ordered a tibetan bun, A soup and a batter fried mutton(Forgot the name) all of them were good. I am not a tibetan food expert to rate it too good/bad. <br/><br/>You also get all kind of roti/dal/indian rice/curries there.

The place is surely a big hit at Mcleodganj.. so whenever you visit the hill station, this is a Must Eat place as it is economical, beautiful, perfectly located and has a very good variety of Tibetan and Bhutanese cuisine.<br/><br/>Taste- 4/5<br/>Ambience- 4/5<br/>Staff- 4/5<br/>Cleanliness- 5/5<br/><br/>Taste as mentioned was above average and also the ambience was clean and hygienic.<br/><br/>Mutton Thukpa was as authentic as it could have been and the taste was very nice<br/>Tibetan Bread to my surprise tasted very very good as it appeared to be a dough ball but once u combine it with any savoury dish, it compliments the flavour of the same.<br/><br/>Chilly paneer had a regular taste, nothing special and WOW to mention about it.<br/><br/>Lemon beer as mentioned in many of the reviews is surely very good and a must have beverage with the food, out of the variety available!

A decent place to try Momos in Mcleodganj. Nothing extraordinary or striking but a place with decent ambience to try authentic Tibetan momos.

We were a group of twelve. The restaurant has three floors. Quite spacious. We had chicken steam momo, chicken fried momo, chicken thukpa and lamb thukpa. Everything was very tasty. Only reason why i couldn't rate it 5 because the waiters are a little irresponsible as we had a little problem in counting the number of plates of momo ordered.

I'm really surprised at the low rating of this place, back in January 2016 we were looking for a decent place to try authentic Tibetan food in McLeodganj and our friend Ani took us to Tibet Kitchen. We were so impressed with the food that we kept coming back to this place during our stay. We tried the thenkuk and the soups ,the dumplings and different meat dishes each time.I cannot recall the name of all the stuff we ordered but I remember the fried mutton Momo being something we ordered during every single visit. The root beers and other mocktails were also fantastic. But the item which we liked the most in this restaurant was what we casually ordered for dessert "Hello to the Queen" , it's funky name was why we ordered it but it's taste was what made us order three more of it even with almost full stomach.I have tried the same dessert at many other places but none as good as the one we had here. I have lots of fond memories with friends at this place and I definitely look forward to visiting Tibet Kitchen again, when in Dharmashala.<br/><br/>I would go with 5/5 since there couldn't be a higher rating.<br/><br/>PS - I wish I had more pictures

A really good place to have authentic tibetian cuisine with friends or foes. I had the chance to eat there Veg Thukpa and Steam Momos: and they're good, even better than the ambience of the place.
