Review Shiva Cafe - Dharamsala

Simran
What a beautiful place! This cafe is heavenly, the scenic view while munching in some good food, I would definitely say if you’re visiting Bhagsu waterfall, then trek for another 5-10 mins and visit this beautiful cafe, I really liked the pizza they had but more than the food, just go there for the beautiful view, amazing music and just the overall vibe, you will fall in love
Hari Vats
Shiva cafe is located 150m above bhagsu waterfall and bhagsu waterfall is around 1 km from bhagsu nag temple 🛕 so before even thinking of reaching to Shiva cafe 🍵 u need to understand that you need trek 1.5 KM but all in all it is worth trekking 👌 Here once I reached ambience was super relaxing and very nice as you can see good valley view and relax at such nice place also you can sit inside if it’s cold otherwise seating outside is I recommend Food here is worth eating as they are good in it so I ordered pasta , chai, mix pakoras etc and all were very good and if you want a beer 🍺 of course you ask for as they serve that also at 300₹ Service was also very quick and easy very helpful and very pleasant

If you are visiting Bhagsu waterfall then you need to walk more above 150m to reach Shiva Cafe. It will be worth visiting and this place is full of vibes. You will see less crowd. You can start Triund trek from this place.
Mehul Dugar
It was a nice pit stop on the way while trekking down the Triund trail. We ordered Farmhouse Pizza. It was thin crust and tasted really nice. There was a little wait time due to the crowd but it was manageable. It had food better than what we could find in the whole of Mcleodganj. So thumbs for that.

Staff is polite. Cafe ambiance is cozy .food is good . Cafe Surrounded by nature . Just above the bhagsu waterfall. View from cafe is amazing. Must visit 🙌

Lovely trek to this place and its so worth it. Amazing view with a waterfall next to it, and the food is so yummy. Don't miss the farmhouse pizza.

This Is one of the most 'worth the effort' Cafes in Himachal. It's not too far from Bhagsu Waterfall but the crowd that climbs up to the place is relatively limited and specific. A great place to enjoy the serene view below and enjoy the calm surroundings along with a variety of possible dishes that are on offer. The prices are steep but not unreasonable for the location. It is a must visit if you visit the Bhagsu Waterfall.

Perfect go to place while descending down from triund. It’s at the bhagsu waterfall with seating both inside and outside. Hummus pita and nutella pancake was the best of many we ordered. Overall food was amazing.

Since the waterfall can be crowded, it is well worth going further to get to Shiva cafe. Much more peaceful to enjoy the nature from there. Lots of seating. The limited food/drink we tried was good.

This is one of the must hang out places you hear about, once u reach Mcleodganj Had a wonderful time here with a friend. An ideal place to relax and unfold after rambling around in the mountains The only issue I felt was the lack of online payment options, luckily I had some cash in hand Would love to visit again
Delhi Food
Love this cafe. Very tasty food in Dharamshala

This cafe is at the highest point and it is definitely worth going up there as they have amazing food and the ambience too.<br/>

This café lies in the heart of the beautiful Bhagsu Waterfall in Mcleodganj. We can most definitely say that the trek to Shiva Café was every bit worth it. Because it is at the top of the waterfall, the view from the café is mesmerizing.<br/><br/>To start with we ordered a normal Hot Coffee which was decent. We also ordered an Indian breakfast which had 2 parathas served along with pickle and an omlette. The parathas were very delicious. In the English breakfast that we had it had 2 sunny side up omlettes, slice breads and stir fried veggies. The veggies were tossed lightly and tasted very good. We also had Maggie, mashed potatoes with stir fried Mushrooms. The potato mash was very creamy. Must try.<br/><br/>To end our meal, we had the banana Nutella Pancake and it was indeed a perfect end to our meal. 🥰

The view on the hilltop is very beautiful. The pizza is nice, and the Masala Chai very good. The atmosphere is also great, with seating inside and outside.

One of the best decisions we made while in Mcleodganj was to visit this highly popular cafe, thanks to the social media, it is now a cult and a trip to Mcleodganj is considered incomplete if you have not been here.<br/><br/>It is a trek of around 30-40 minutes from the Bhagsunag temple and the cafe is located right above the waterfall. You do feel exhausted and tired a bit but all of that is gone once you reach at the top.<br/><br/>The ambiance is just terrific and this place has a nice view of the valley. Coming to food, the quality is top notch and the prices are fairly reasonable.<br/><br/>Quality: 5<br/>Quantity: 4<br/>Price: 4<br/>Taste: 5<br/>Ambiance: 5

This place is waayyy above the waterfall, a lot of people got tired and turned back before reaching here. It’s a nice place to sit and chill, pass away 1-2 hours. Food is okay, nothing great. Music was good. My advice- sit with tea or any other beverage while staring into the valley and looking around
Nitin Tripathi
I love the vibe in this little cafe and bookstore. Interesting coffee, tea and juice drinks along with very healthy food options. I would recommend visiting!!
Monk With Food
Visited here this December, the way to reach the cafe is a journey itself and the beautiful view from here is a bonus. I found food to be average although coffee was good , it was surely a cherished experience and I wouldn't mind revisiting the place
Harshit Rajpal
The cost of stuff here is so so affordable as compared to rest of the cafes in the place especially when the location of this cafe beats all other places out there. I fell in love and still my mind is wombling in the atmosphere of the place.<br/>Crowd is young, there's hookahs available, there's good food, good music and the owner is so polite. I loved the pizza, maggie and 4 beverages that we ordered in just 680 rupees!!
Rutuja Sarode
As you trek to the top of bhagsu waterfalls, this cafe is the best destination to satisfy all your hunger goals amidst the beautiful n serene nature. There is seating arrangements indoors as well as outdoors facing the waterfall. We tried farmhouse pizza and coffee and both were amazing!! Overall, loved the experience and the food!! 💯

Beautiful view..must visit..it will take a lil bit time for u to reach as it's on top of bhagsu waterfall..but worth the trek....food was ohkz...maybe cause it got cold in 2 min...as it was really cold ...nice place and must try.....

Great ambience great view and great food<br/>This place is situated at a very high altitude right next to the bhagsu water fall almost at the top of the mountain the way to reach is very steep and narrow but once you'll reach you'll see altogether a different view of mountains and they have outdoor and indoor sitting as well must visit at least once
Raman Malik
You have to climb slightly up from Bhagsu Nath Waterfall, the vibes and ambience is nice, you can spend a lot of time eating, relaxing around the place, some nice trance numbers with good food. A place to visit if you are looking to unwind for sometime

Lord Shiva has always been linked to the mountains. Shiva Cafe in McLeod Ganj is a gentle reminder of the fact. I visited Shiva Cafe on my recent trip to Dharamshala, it is located near bhagsunag falls and one have to trek about 1.5 -2 km. The view on the way to this cafe is amazing and the breath of fresh air which one miss on in the cities is indescribable. If one does not have any issue with heights then I would recommend them to visit this place.
Sudharma Dwadasi
An amazing place to visit if you're in McLeod Ganj. Amazing view from the outside seating and great music playing all the time. Just kick back and enjoy the company kind of a place. The food is "good" at best but that's not the point of the place. The beverages fair better than the food does. Unless you're looking for really good food, this place will not disappoint.
Swati
Location is just perfect , food is okay. This is right by the side of the bhagsunag falls . One has go uphill onto the left side of falls to reach This lovely spot . Had cheese and vegetable , tasted okay but the nature added the much needed taste .
Mahesh Krishnan
Situated op top of the Bhagsunag water falls , this place is an exquisite b-e-a-uty amidst the misty mountain ranges of the Bhagsunag & Mcleodganj. There is a wide variety of meals/snacks and ofcourse Breezers as well.<br/><br/>The four 🌟 rating is majorly for the vibes the place offers. The serenity, the still coolness that spreads in the mind of an explorer like cooled mercury as the shiva café is literally hidden amidst the clouds of Bhagsunag proudly staring at the Triund. We tried out banana - Nutella pan cakes / uncle chips / Maggi and Breezers. I would say Nutella pan cakes and plain Maggi with chaat masala is worth a try. Though both have to be had in the steamy condition. The food actually preceeds the view and vibe that place offers. If you are a traveller or an explorer , then Shiva café is a must visit, not for fooding but for the view and the location majorly ❤️
Swati Singh
Was a little sceptical of hiking a long steep stretch to just reach a cafe. But this one turned out to be worth the effort. The view is amazing facing the Bhagsu waterfall and the valley. It is an awesome place to watch the sunset but you have to be careful to be get back quickly coz the way down is also steep. Loved the ginger honey lemon, masala Maggi, hummus platter and the pasta. The place has a very hippie and happy feel!
Mr. Foodie
One cannot beat the view of this place. Its Entourage bhagsu water fall and it's crazy. We went during the rains<br/>After sometime there was zero visibity and u could see clouds all around u. Food is amazing. Do try their four cheese pizza

Woow i am very happy to download this aap and it is a good company to export and import goods from the internet with the most reliable and reliable and reliable service providers in this app so good and smoothly I love this app and use my mobile phone

Shiva cafe is situated after a climb up from Bhagsu Falls. <br/>We tried - <br/>1) Farmhouse pizza - It was good and cheesy. <br/>2) honey chilli potatoes - They weren't crisp at all we didn't like them.<br/>3) Tea - Pretty good with nice aroma and flavour. <br/><br/>Shiva cafe is quite pretty and serene for sure but i found the food to be quite average.

A true hidden gem, nestled amongst the clouds above the bhagsu falls overlooking the Triund peak. The trek to this cafe is really challenging and the path is rocky and slightly steep. Due to which I was thinking to rate this place 4/5 for its bad accessibility, but when I reached this place I was mind blown and the trek was all worth it and hence I'm giving 5/5. This place is an ideal stoner cafe, with indoor as well as outdoor seatings. The indoor seatings were very warm and cozy with minimal interiors and a rustic ambiance while the outdoor seatings were breathtaking. The views were changing every minute due to the fog.<br/><br/>Talking about food, they have a variety of cuisines like Italian, Indian, Mexican, American and Israeli. The food was simple yet tasty. I ordered a pasta and falafel with hummus and I was really impressed by the quality of food they were making at such an inaccessible place. But the star of the show was the hot beverage ofLemon Ginger Honey. It not even rejuvenated my after a the tiring trek but even made me feel warmer in the freezing cold. Make sure to try that. The service was prompt considering the number of staff and the crowd.<br/><br/>Food: 5/5<br/>Ambiance 5/5 (I wish I could give more)<br/>Service: 4/5

The Shiva cafe is located at an altitude so you need to do little trek to reach there, about 15 to 20 mins. Its just few minutes walk from bhagsu waterfall.<br/>This place is totally worth the trek and is not like any other cafe. It's got a different feel altogether.paintings of Shiva and quotes on pieces of stone.<br/>They also have a small pool and few gym equipments.<br/>The seating arrangements comes with a great view.<br/>Coming to food they serve great pizzas.<br/>They serve maggi , pastas ,sandwiches sort of food items.<br/>This place is a different experience and must visit for all the Shivji bhakts😜<br/><br/>

You have to work hard to reach Shiva cafe. 1km की कठिन चढ़ाई के बाद शिवा कैफे दिखाई देता है। जूते उतारिए और अंदर जाकर बैठ जाइए। such a calm place. .मेरा पहला order - lemon ice tea था, जोकी बहुत अच्छी थी। फिर मैंने Shiva cafe special breakfast मंगवाया, which is also good but my watermelon juice have fragrance of veggies so I did not like it. My last order was hukka. Worth going cafe.

"Eat in paradise" Should be a tag line for this cafe. Beautiful cafe, soothing aura, Just perfect for people who love hills and food and wilderness all at once. Everything tasted amazing. Pasta, pizza, chilli potato , fresh lichi juice and Breezer ofcourse added flavour to our meal.<br/><br/>Beautiful location can make good food taste even better. The view and sound of bhagsu waterfall made this our best lunch indeed❤
Anshu (eat_pray_travel_shine)
you have to trek approx 1500 meter and can easily find this cafe.when we visit there was limited number of items in food.hukka was there but we weren't in mood<br/>ambience was superb. completely scenic view.<br/>music was damn and there was a cute dog.😊😊<br/>we ordered maggi and coffee.because of some issues of not available of food 😔<br/>But i love the cafe.
Ojusvi Loomba
"Poor Service Over hyped"<br/>The cafe is situated at good location however the service is poor, they have less staff to cater and they almost take hours time to serve you after multiple follow ups, if you want to enjoy location go for it, otherwise it's not a good place to eat.
Aanchal Katyal
A place located absolutely in the lap of mountains. It will really take all strength out of u to visit it. But the view and the overall experience is worth it. You will have access to the nicest points of the fall. Overall vibe of the place is good as well. I tried Margherita, farmhouse, white sauce pasta and maggi. Rates are not expensive either. Pizzas were good and worth trying :)
Sumit Ahluwalia
Really very nice place enjoying eating and views of nature. Awesome food awesome music. Really good service. Must visit this place if u want to eat and enjoy your time.

After climbing up can't expect better sitting and food then this great view and quality food with lots of variety and hooka at bhagsu water fall.
Foodie Big Shots
Only they can make gud maggi as every one easily cooked rest other things we ordered all r worst oreo shake useless n mushroom echidilas N some red pasta which is uncooked only view is gud from this place only
Saumya
You reach the place after trekking 2 kms but the food was a little disappointing. Somehow the Manchurian had potato chunks in it. Noodles had burnt flavor. Pizza was a little bland. The quantity was good and price was reasonable.
Sirjana29
My camera is not doing juctice to the view. Perfect cafe to chill around with people from different cultures. A small trek from the city but worth it. There Masala Chai is damn good ordered twice, and without maggie trip to hills is incomplete.
Shriti Shah
Amazing location of the Cafe,it is around 1 km trek from the Temple of Bhagsu Waterfall.<br/>The view is worth the trek, it is a very chill place.<br/>We ordered the maggie and enjoyed it by the top of the waterfall.<br/>Also there is a tiny shop consisting of local handicrafted stuff, yet a bit pricy.
Aruna Rambade
This place is good only if you want to try hookah and since this place is near to the waterfall, the view is beautiful. I didn't like the food served here. We ordered burger which is served with Israeli salad and fries and neither of it was tasty. Burger had too much of mayonnaise that eventually made buns soggy. Salad was ice cold and whole food was missing salt.<br/><br/>Staff- they do not respond quickly<br/>Ambience is the only USP

A cute little cafe for treakers. Easy to locate by side of the bhagsu waterfall!❤️<br/>With a great view nearby one can make the most of their heavenly time enjoying there with friends and having some great food!<br/>If you are planning to visit the waterfall just don't miss out on spending some time there!
Bhawna Chandra
I like the place but it didn't really surprise me with the food. The cafe is little high on the mountain, and got amazing view because its right next to the waterfall.<br/>We ordered Nutella pancake and hot ginger lemon honey. Pancake was just ok in taste but ginger lemon was quite nice. Haven't tried much here because we were already full but heard a lot from people about this place so I would suggest you to go and try this out.<br/>
Mithun Gupta
Good view, interesting place and enough reasons to be high. Super chill and cool place on top of the mountain. Beware you will have walk and trek to reach this place, but it is worth it.

This is the popular cafe in mcleodganj above the bhagsunath waterfalls. You need to trek for 15-20 mins above the waterfall. The place is quite happening with old seatings. The atmosphere created makes the cafe more charming. With grafitti and other simplicity.<br/>Even though the food is just okayish it is short of staff and people come in huge numbers. <br/>• I ordered the farmhouse pizza which was okay but it came after 40 mins. Also i need to cancel my hashbrown potatoes which i ordered long back . <br/>The staff is very humble and tries to focus on everybody . A nice place to visit but you need to wait for a very long time to have food.
Anish G
This is an awesome place just ahead of Bhagsu waterfalls. The food is decent but the ambience is worth enjoying. Would recommend to have some soft drink with pizza or maggie.
Rajiv Vassanji
If you go to Dharamsala you must visit Shiva cafe. This place is above Bhagsu waterfall. You will need to trek to reach there and I suggest you to take a trekking stick with you to make your walking experience a bit easier. The cafe is more famous due to its location and not much for its food. I had ordered cheese toast and that day unfortunately their sandwich machine went for a toss. I ended up having tea only and left. It has fast paced music and with indoor and outdoor seating. It’s good to carry warm clothes, it’s quite cold up there. <br/>

Shiva cafe is very popular in Mcleodganj & has become a must go place whenever here. Atleast that’s the perception we had when we visited this cafe.<br/>We had :<br/>- Cold Coffee<br/>- Hot Chocolate<br/>- Veg Maggi<br/>- Cheese & Corn Pizza<br/>- Nutella Pancake<br/><br/>TBH, all the things were decent but that’s just about it. This place is definitely overhyped. Not that it’s bad. The food is decent, the view from the top is awesome. <br/>So come to Shiva cafe(try it once)for the experience rather than the food. <br/>
Derek Rahul Goveas
Lovely place to be at. It's like visiting heavens & having the craziest breakfast or meal ever. Super fast service.. Peaceful weather and full of serenity. Great place to hangout with friends and family. Awesome location and especially the food just makes it more worth to climb up there. Overall a lovely foodie photogenic place to eat at. Keep rocking. Cheers.

Food was average but the view was mesmerizing.<br/>This place is famous among travellers. To reach there, you have to trek for about half an hour from bhagsu waterfall.<br/>The food is not that great but the vibes you get after reaching there are just soo good.<br/>If you are in McLeod, you should definitely go there....not for food but the view and vibes.
Varun Barla
This is indeed a difficult place to reach. On the way to Bhagsu Nag, there is a diversion which will take you here. The cafe is on top of the waterfall and around 700m of climb. But once you reach there, you’d realise it’s worth the climb. The view is fantastic and the food matches that. We ordered a veg maggi, pasta and Nutella pancake. The pancake and pasta were really good. The place was bouncing with great music as well. One can easily spend a couple of hours just sitting and chilling here. Definitely should visit if you’re going to Bhagsu Nag.
Shashank Shah
Shiva cafe is very well known among travellers. This cafe is not about food or taste, this place is all about view or how you get there after a half an hour trek. You have to cross the bhagsu waterfall to get which is the most beautiful thing about this place. Place has a very peaceful environment. Food is below average but you'll love to have food there with this kind of environment. Must visit place if you are in McLeodGanj.
The Veggie Guy
Probably one of the best places I've visited.<br/>Came back from Kareri trek.<br/>Comforting place. Good food. Great environment.<br/>Must visit for anyone visiting McLeodganj
Trisha Mukherjee
Okay,so Shiva cafe is so famous among certain circles (ahem) that it's not so much about the food as the entire experience. Getting their can be a bit difficult as you have to climb along the Bhagsu waterfall.<br/>The location is brilliant, the artwork and decor even more so. It has a very chilled attitude, and is great for the munchies. I had their customary bowl of chicken maggi and a cup of honey lemon ginger tea.<br/>We basically hung about for a couple of hours and enjoyed the music and the view, what with being so high ( up in the mountains, I mean).<br/>Climb high to reach Shiva. Will be worth it.
Yash Pratap
This place is situated near the waterfall, after about 20 minutes of walk from market. The incline is a bit steep. So, won't suggest for old people. The service was horrible, actually. The staff seemed arrogant and understaffed. Though the ambience more than makes up for it
Balraj Parmar
Shiva Cafe is a very popular place with the travelers and rightly so. It's a short trek away (around 1 hour) from the main Mcleodganj market. The trek is quite easy and has decent views.<br/><br/>The ambience is brilliant at the cafe with trippy posters, art work, and books all around you. The staff is amazing to talk with. You can play your own music on request however the default music is also amazing!<br/><br/>Coming to food you must try their desserts, Their chocolate bomb and pancakes are delicious!!<br/><br/>You can also try having a go at a variety of exotic teas available at the location. The rates might seem a little high however I would give them the benefit of doubt owing to their relatively remote location.<br/><br/>So overall don't visit this place only for the food. Visit for the overall experience of the journey as well as the destination. It's quite a soothing experience and a must do on visiting Mcleodganj.

Awsomazing is the word for this cafe..Hardly 15 mins walk uphills from Bhagsunag falls.. this picture friendly place has a beautiful ambience.. perfect view.. delicious food..peaceful.. courteous staff.. we had mushroom soup and sweet and sour soup.. which were amazing.. i dint expect mushroom soup to be that heavenly in an isolated cafe uphills.. also we had vegetable noodles and wood oven pizza.. noodles were kinda desi style bt was good to taste.. pizza was also enjoyable.. all in all must visit place when you are in mcleodganj..

View 10/10<br/>Ambiance 10/10<br/>Food didn't tried<br/>Service -10/10<br/>We tracked towards shiva cafe from Bhagsu Nath . After reaching there we realised the reason why people love to track. We tried to order something for us but waiters and Biller of the cafe are too busy they didn't take order. After spending almost 30min we unable to place order so we decided to track down. Very Bad experience.
Karnika Chandna
A beautiful cafe located in the hills of dharamshala, the cafe is based on the name of lord shiva, the place also serves sheesha , the music of the place is so trance that you cannot just leave this place, the food is too cheap and really good with taste, they serve many varieties from chinese to mexican. We had noodles, momos and mexican enchiladas all of the cusine were too good in taste. Totally value for money great place.
Saurabh Shinde
Reaching this place was very tough as it is located on altitude.. The place offers hookah. We had ordered pizzas and other stuff. Food was not bad. The best thing about this place is the ambience. It has a very different vibe. Great music was being played.
Mihir Bhanushali
Shiva Cafe, the most popular place in mcleodganj is worth a visit.<br/>Approximately around 6000ft high, shiva cafe has a beautiful view.<br/>The ambience is nice.<br/>Talking about the food, almost 98% of people order maggi, so we did the same. We ordered plain and veg maggi, black coffee, coffee, and a non-veg maggi.<br/>The food was good.<br/><br/>Overall - Very Good
Hetvi Shah
Good things first-Menu is very good, has a lot of varieties and food is very delicious. We ordered pizza and sizzlers for veg, pizza had 8 slices and had thin crust. For sizzlers, the quantity was little less but the taste was good.<br/>Some negatives-The café is located at a height which is difficult to reach. So when you are hungry and planning to go to cafe, by the time you reach there you are famished and after having belly full meal by the time you reach down, you are hungry again! Waiters are less so service is slow.Mocktails are kind of Okayish.<br/><br/>Overall-Good
Crunchandslurp
Cafe is located way up... It's hard to reach there to be honest... And food ain't any way close to the exertion you take jus to reach this cafe... And if food being bleh wasn't enough, the waiter didn't even know how to behave with his customers... What a rude chap... I was highly irritated with their services n behaviour... Would never ever recommend a place like shiva cafe to anyone...
Simar Preet
First of all , you will have to struggle a lot to reach this place because one has to walk for more than a kilometer to reach this cafe, no vehicles are allowed to reach this place. It took us around 20 minutes to reach this place. The ambience and the vibe of this place is quite worth it. I loved the music. We ordered farmhouse pizza which was delactable and 1 chicken pizza which was average.
Agrawal
Its more of a place where its cold and food is good but its at very top like heaven top the view and then chai its best you can get best photograph there and in pizza is margarita best cause all i like was crust cheese and sauces were it makes the basic but amazing flavour for taste buds but there are more of varieties available but it makes no sense cause the crust they make are more good then the toppings
Food For Soul
Well. The more u I tlk about this cafe is less. First u have to take a journey through the waterfall view. And lots of staircase to end up being in this cafe. But from the first view it never fails to mesmerise you. The ambience , music everything is just perfect. Top of the fact u get shisha also here. A amazing place. Cudos to the entire team.
Ankita Sharma
The place is quite hyped for some reason I don't why but the food is very basic and decent<br/>I went there in March<br/>I ordered a white sauce pasta and ginger lemon honey tea and Maggi<br/>The food was very rich and was made of fresh ingredients<br/>The seating was quite cozy and u can have hookah there as well .
Ashish Rawat
Only thing this place has working for it is the location. Food is ok. You can take your own alcohol if you can manage. Overall a tiring exp reaching the cafe but then you have definitely earned the double cheese pizza.
Ashish Modi
Wonderful place with great view & ambiance. Food is good but I wouldn’t say great. If you want to enjoy vista & relax at the same time then I would definitely recommend this place. I am in love with this cafe & view it offers.
Sidhant Duggal
This place wins the heart with it's nature loving location and reaching to this place brings a pain but it's totally worth it. From Bhagsu Falls, there is a another way which goes to the top (some trek is required) but if you are fit enough, then I have seen aging 50-60 yrs also visiting the cafe. They serve Maggi, noodles, chai, hooka, omelettes and what all. The sitting arrangement is spreading with different seats and we liked the one with mattress with short coffee table. They do play music and it's difficult for someone to get bored here. This is a must visit place
Travel Foodie
This cutest little cafe which look like a cottage and the inside is full of hippies. The most amazing Maggi one can have after a short hike and enjoying the waterfall. The pasta was fine. Skip that. Have fun, sit there and absorb the atmosphere.<br/>It is really pretty and even the sitting area outside has an amazing view with lots of trees and a black mountain dog always basking in the sun.

What a location...wow!!! one of the best locations in the hills, anywhere in India, at least. A 500m further hike from the 2nd halt of Bhagsu falls. Green & Serene. And food justifies the location well. Had banana pancakes and cheese tomato bruschetta and the taste and quantity was commendable. And the prices are too good to be true.<br/><br/>NB: For some strange reason, not been able to attach photos along the review, so posting them separately...

Artsy and natural. We had to trek up the hill around 200 meters from Bhagsunag falls. Very quaint and very beautiful. The place with filled with beautiful artwork. The cafe itself is made of natural stones stacked up in a uniformed manner. The location of the cafe itself is amazing. A beautiful view of the waterfall can be seen from this place. It is a must visit for an amazing experience.....

A Cafe in between the Hills!!!<br/><br/>So here is my review for Shiva Cafe which is in Mcleodganj.<br/><br/>Sorry don't have Food pics but i will recommend to all of you to go this place.<br/><br/>First of all, to reach this place you've to track for about 30 minutes. its' near to Bhagsu waterfall.<br/>Ambiance of this place is totally influenced by Lord Shiv. paintings of Lord shiv on wall & Rocks.<br/>whole set up is like Israeli Cafe. Everybody sits on floor. Food was aromatic & delicious (sorry i was so hungry that couldn't took any image & all had it). bUt, Trust me this place is Peaceful.<br/><br/>You can enjoy here Food, Flavored Hukkah & the songs.<br/><br/>Totally worth it Place. :)

Tucked away in the quintessential corner at the end of the bhagsunag fall, it takes quite some effort to reach the place. Although I wasnt really aware of the location of the cafe but kept hearing about it from various groups trekking at different times. It is located at a picturesque location at the background of soothing water fall sounds, the food is delicious too. The service takes some time and therefore keep the patience for your order to arrive. And yes they serve seesha too!<br/>Ambience - 5 / 5<br/>Food - 4 / 5<br/>Sevice - 3 / 5

After an entertaining time at the Bhagsu Nag waterfall, you MUST visit the Shiva Cafe to settle your appetite. Located above Bhagsu Nag, this cafe is a 10-12 minute walk uphill. There are signboards to easily locate it. The atmosphere here is excessively enchanting and relaxing. You can sit back on the couches and relax with some sheesha and a bite to eat. The interiors as well as exteriors were decorated extremely well and what caught my attention most was the small pool outside, with a model of a snake emerging from the rocks. Amazing innovation ! <br/>Ordered a chicken pizza and it was worth the wait ! The place is inevitably packed and we had to wait for 15 minutes to get a couch. When we got it, we didn’t feel like leaving. The music was soothing and the service was quick. Had a delightful time. After a tiring time at the waterfall, this is just what we were looking for. A place to sit back and relax, good food, soothing music and a relaxing atmosphere. Must visit for anyone visiting Bhagsu Nag !

Having heard about this cafe since forever, I finally got to visit this cafe. It’s a long climb before we reach this place. But the view and ambience is worth the all the walk.<br/>I ordered a hot coffee and the quantity and quality was just great. It was strong and sweet. The chowmein was okayish and the quantity was also less.

Note: You have to do a mini trek to reach this place.<br/>It is easy but you have to work a little hard to reach here as compared to any other cafe which is just there in mcleo anywhere.<br/>The Mixed Sauce pasta is mouth watering.<br/>Taste-5/5 <br/>Presentation-5/5<br/>Quantity-4.5/5<br/><br/>The Margarita Pizza is Super Delicious<br/>Taste-5/5<br/>Presentation-5/5<br/>Quantity-5/5<br/><br/>The ambience is one to admire, with hippy trippy songs on.<br/><br/>Hukkah is available in various flavours.<br/>The cafe has an indoor as well as outdoor seating space, and both are worth trying. <br/>The time taken to serve the food was fine too.<br/>The food is really very delicious here, and the ambience is a cherry on the cake ;) <br/><br/>

Terrible Noodle Soup. Pathetic Pancake (full of oil). Overly spiced maggi (they could go wrong with something as basic as maggi). Okayish Veggie Pizza. Not worth the trek at all. Went there two days back. <br/>You could rather go to the maggi points near the waterfall, they are much more interesting than this place.

the most interesting place from mcleodganj <br/>had to trek to reach the place which was not tough but exhausting due to the sun as we went in the after noon would recommend to go around sunset <br/>the view was very good becoz of the waterfall <br/>the food was just fine for the efforts it needed to reach there <br/>would recommend to go there if u visit bhakshu fall

Shiva cafe in McLeod Ganj is an amazing place to spend some quality time. It's located right next to the beautiful bhagsu waterfall. To reach the cafe you need to do a small trek of 20-30 minutes. Its about some 200 flight of stairs. At the cafe, you have an option of outdoor as well as indoor seating. View from the cafe is beautiful. Waterfall swells during rainy season however in summers the water is not much. They offer hookah and have okay quality food. The price they offer is more compared to the quality still cheaper if you compare it with the amount of efforts they put in to buy things abd reach the cafe on daily basis.<br/><br/>Follow me on Instagram @FERVENT_FOODIE

There's a different kind of serenity in the place<br/>You have to trek approx 20-25 mins to reach the cafe which is along the bhagsu waterfall.<br/>You will not regret for your efforts once you reach there. The food is good but what's best is the ambience for which it is known<br/>

This place is beautiful. They serve hukka, however they don't allow consumtion of alcohol or any other intoxicant, inside the place. They serve maggie and other north indian preparations.

The location of this cafe is the best thing. A 30 minute hike up the mountain would take you here. Away from the speed and noise. It's got a certain sense of tranquility to it. The open seating, the view, the paintings of Lord Shiva all just add to it.<br/>Had an omelette and a hookah. Both were pretty decent. It's one of the few places in this over crowded town(by tourists) that gives you the momentary escape that people come here for.

A short trek near Bhagsunag Waterfall – Awesome view & location. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, we chose indoor area for the comfortable floor seating. Relax and lie down on mattresses after climbing the fleet of stairs. You can also start for Triund Trek from Shiva cafe but it is a less taken and more steep route. We came down from Shiva cafe and took the regular trek route to Triund.<br/><br/>Check out more at foodinza blog.

A full 5 stars for the view from atop and the ambiance. The food is nothing much to talk about though. <br/>The insides were more hippie-like, and not very clean and hygienic. So we decided to sit outside and not order a large platter. <br/><br/>A word of caution for travelers, especially female groups, plan to go there early, and not when it is nearing dusk. The walk all the way up is no short of a trek and it is not a very good idea to walk all the way down when it is getting dark. <br/><br/>The best thing to do,after that long trek to the top, would be to enjoy the view over a plate of fries and ginger-honey tea.

Lovely environment away from the hustle of McLeodGanj. Clouds pouring in and natural falls connects you to mother nature.<br/><br/>What more than getting your favourite Maggie at such a place. Do try the soups. Not. A place to hog but just keep sipping your coffee n enjoy the nature<br/><br/>Food -  7.5/10<br/>Presentation -  6/10<br/>Price -  9/10<br/>Ambience  -  15/10<br/>Service - 10 /10<br/><br/>

After a long hike of 45 minutes, you'll find Shiva Cafe tucked away on the top of Bhagsu Waterfalls.<br/>This place is really famous for its ambience and food.<br/><br/>But for me, the experience turned out to be highly disappointing. When you are looking forward to something and you go to extra lengths for it, it is really disappointing if it is not worth it. This is what happened with us at Shiva Cafe. The service was extremely slow and the waiters were snobby. Even the food tasted terrible.<br/><br/>They have a lot of areas to improve on.<br/>You can visit them just for the ambience and some good sheesha.<br/>

I heard so much about this cafe that I had no choice but to go. And indeed it was beyond expectations. The small trek leading to it was heavenly during monsoon. The waterfall was in full swing and we felt so close to nature (even spotted some snakes). Coming on to food, it was very tasty and economical. Welcome masala tea felt great. We ordered hash potatos, sandwiches, nepolitana pizza and noodles. everything felt amazing. The only sad part was the poor choice of music they had. But experience was great and it's a must go place.

It’s not easy to get to this place but it’s totally worth it ! <br/>We spent a lot of time here and had a variety of food and loved almost everything .

A few meters up the falls you find this humble abode. I visited McLeod during the rare hours, It wasnt a weekend and also morning, so less crowded. Just how I like it. :p<br/>The best part about the time we went to Shiva's was that it was drizzling and the weather, geez, was perfect. I could literally have the good weather and view-goosebumps, all the time.<br/>Anyone visiting McLeodganj and doing the climb to Bhagsu falls, do visit Shiva.

I travelled to Mcleodganj for the first time last month with my friends and I had already heard of this place before. It takes an effort to reach there as it is atop the Bhagsu waterfall but definitely worth it. The ambience and view from there was magical. The only problem is that the staff is very busy because of the large crowds coming in and can leave you unattended for long stretches. Apart from this, everything was great.

One of the most beautiful places I have been to.<br/>Wont deny that it’s quite a steep uphill walk from Bhagsu. But the fact that it’s so far uphill, therefore less crowded.

A 2 km trek on a rainy day after the sunset is quite a task to reach a cafe. Especially when the path gets steep and mushy, all you want to do is get to a warm cozy place to dry and save yourself from the shivering winds. Just when you doubt your efforts in climbing all drenched and tired, you spot Shiva Cafe. The first direction signage is quite far from the actual location of the cafe. This place offers hookah for indoor seating arrangement and four tables outside for the ones who love watching rains, sipping coffee and smoking.Food: <br/>Tea, hot coffee, egg Maggie and Pizza were the perfect binge after a tiring trek in the rains. The cheese and base of the Pizza couldn't have been anymore fresh. The veg toppings seemed to be picked up straight from the farms. Such unadulterated food amidst the picturesque valley was a treat not only to the eyes but to the taste-buds too.Ambiance:<br/>A cafe dedicated to Lord Shiva, nestled in lush green valley adjoining the lovely Bhagsu waterfall is every mountain lover's abode. The soothing music and interiors with low-seating arrangement adds up to the coziness of this cafe in the mountains.   <br/><br/>Service:Service is quick and up-to-the-mark. Kudos to the logistics arrangement and management in a terrain which is 2 kms away from the hub!

So this was one of the things in our To-do list, and we had already learnt a lot about this place, but now was the time to experience with our own eyes. First of all, the place is a heaven and especially if you're hungry which you will be after climbing 200 stairs or so..!! However, after that, u do get to taste some of their awesome dishes. Pancakes tastes cool. Even the noodles were perfect. A must visit if you don't mind climbing a few extra stairs.

Going to Shiva cafe has become a ritual if you are in Mcleodganj.<br/><br/>Amazing place which requires bit of hiking and adventure to get to the Cafe. And their pancakes are ludicrous and the view from this place is breathtaking.

The ambience of the place is totally worth the hype. The view from the cafe is spectacular and I can keep coming back just for that experience.

This place is heavenly! Such peace and quiet after a 2km trek is totally worth it! They serve hookah and food but don’t have alcohol. We visited during June and it was raining and all green! This place has an outdoor and indoor seating area. Hookah is allowed in both areas but smoking isn’t allowed indoors! They serve nice veg food! Definitely recommended!

It’s worth the trek of 1.5 kms <br/>The view and the atmosphere with the climate is a perfect blend for a chill out evening <br/>But the cafe really has to work over its staff <br/>For food would say the pancakes are sure must try and or else the food is less than average<br/>But guys would strongly recommend this place for its environment n decor n location

It does take some effort on your part to reach it, but the place is worth it. The ambiance is good and offers a good view of nature's beauty. We had their Veg Enchilada and farmhouse pizza.
