Review The Mustard Door - Dharamsala

The cafe is situated in an area isolated from the main market. When my friends and I were travelling towards the cafe, we were skeptical about its quality. We entered the cafe and looked up the menu. Couldn't really find innovation. We ordered Chai, Coffee, Paneer Pakora and Chilli Chicken. But boy! When we ate the food - All our inhibitions were at rest!! The food is unbelievably tasty! You should definitely give The Mustard Door, a try. I can imagine it would be difficult to maintain and operate such a cafe in a place like Dharamshala. Would definitely love to come again sometime!

I really enjoyed the food here, the owner is so accommodating, speaks perfect English and strives to please. It is crazy cheap and the food is good quality and large servings. Actually it was close to one of the best meals I have had on my 5 week Indian holiday. I had a paneer dish in a tomato based spicy curry, can't remember the name of it, but it was delectable. I was staying close by and I also came here for breakfast, highly recommended. It is located on top of another building, so it is accessed by some steep ladder type stairs.

The Mustard Door has great non-veg (their butter chicken is delicious!). This is the best restaurant in Dharamshala imo, kinda out-of-the-way but worth the visit. Also their mushroom masala is great!

" The Mustard Door " "Positive restaurant eating experience" Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste...Stopped here for a snack on our way back to Naddi. Had the Kadai chicken and potato skins appetizer and some French onion soup. Appetizer was very good... the main head of caffe Suman and cheff Vicky are very good nature person. It's good to meet you guys.
