Review Pai Dosa - Ernakulam

If you are a dosa lover you would enjoy visiting here, no doubt at all. I have had visited this Pai Dosa restaurant end number of times. It remains open till 2AM with an average footfall of 200 folks during week days evenings and around 300 folks during weekend evenings. A few points from my side:- Wide variety of menu Taste at its best Great service Ambience is average Crockery is okay Cleanliness to be improved Washrooms to be maintained well Enough parking space Always crowded(because food is good) Reasonable pricing Soft drinks/ Tea & Coffee also being served here. A must visit place in Kochi to hangout during evenings with friends and families. Even though there are other Pai Dosa restaurants in Kochi, this is the best one.

I feel like I've entered in a Brahmin agrahara, that the vibe was excellent 👍 there is a lot varieties of dosa recipes and also some kind of sweets were available. Kind of good customer service and never feel bad with the quality of the food also. If the food presentation in any other way can be improved there supremacy even more better. That's the only suggestion .

Location is easily accessible with proper indication on MG road. Went with family and we asked the staff to order the variety dosa there. We didn't placed the order and you will get confused with the long list of dosas in this shop. SI bharathan dosa is a must try here. One dosa is enough fill the tummy. We order veg and egg varieties of dosa. Dosa tastes really good and side chutneys are not that great. Order lime juice along with it and had a nice time dining here. A few pics from my recent visit. Thank you

This is an absolute must if you love dosa. They have so many kinds! You could spend a month in India and not be able to try them all. They cook in front of you and so the experience is even more exciting. Also great coffee and service.

Huge varieties of Dosa especially for dosa lovers. They says 36 varieties of dosa but you will find even more. First of all I need to highlight that this restaurant is not pure veg. This restaurant serves egg dosa's. Interior is average. Neat but still need some improvement. Need to pre pay food and only self service available. Parking space available. Accepts credit , debit cards & upi. Price is high compared to other restaurants. Located near MG Road metro station

Very excellent location for having many varieties of dosa. My personal favourite is kada butter bullseye dosa. Over 36 varieties of dosa is available if not more. Cost is little on the premium side but the taste is excellent

Located in Pai Brothers lane, MG Road, Padma Junction, Cochin. Parking is readily available for both 2 and 4 wheelers. Seating area is neat and spacious. Staff members are also polite and helpful. This Kochi-based establishment(started back in 1987, now they have a total of 4 outlets in the city), offers a wide variety of dosas, more than a 100 in fact. One of my personal favourites is the podi egg dosa(120 rupees), which is tasty and filling for one person. Some of their crowd favourites include - SI Bharathan dosa, Dundu dosa, Kanchipuram roast, Salt and Pepper dosa, etc. Even though their prices are slightly on the higher side, many of their dosa varieties are large in quantity and can be shared by 2, even 3 people. Overall, this place still maintains their quality and taste, even though their prices have increased.

Pai brothers is a staple name for Dosa Eatery. They have around 36 signature varieties. They have been around for a long time and have been always a popular food joint. I feel that it was after the release of the Malayalam movie 'Salt and Pepper' that a typical food joint hunt resurfaced among Malayalis and Pai Dosa was one of the hot destinations. Pai Dosa is an Eggitarian restaurant. You won't find items with meat or fish but many of their dosa varieties have egg as a main ingredient. Thankfully, if egg is added, it is specifically listed in the name itself. Even though the restaurant is on a narrow side road of MG road, there are ample parking slots. As most of the orders are take away, there is a high chance you get a seat as well. I think they open late during daytime and stay open late at night(9 am to 1 am). Other than dosas, do not expect anything much, duh. However, the do at times serve puttu, and rasavada, dahivada etc. They also have some sweet options like kesari, laddu and Mysore pa. They offer tea, coffee, lemonade etc. As beverages. I wish this Pai dosa joint had a better wash area. The lighting and aesthetics also needs to be upped. I have not tried all of their varieties. However, the one I tried last time, Egg Onion Tomato, was nice. I remember Chocolate dosa was a big flop for me. Sambar and the chutneys are also generally ok but the lastbtime I had from here, the Sambar had too much Coriander in it. Overall, Pai Dosa is a must try if you are in Kochi. It has grown beyond reviews. Not all of us are fans though but something keeps pulling me towards Pai Dosa, whenever I am in the vicinity for food.

The go-to place in Kochi for dosa's. Different varieties of dosas. Reasonably priced too.

Huge assortment of dosas, especially for aficionados of dosas. There are considerably more dosa variations than the 36 that are listed. I should start by emphasising that this restaurant is not entirely vegetarian. Egg dosas are served at this eatery. The inside is typical. Nice, but need some work. Food must be pre-paid, and self serve is the sole option. Parking spot accessible. They accepts credit/ debit cards and UPI. In comparison to other similar eateries, the price is exorbitant.
