Review French Toast - Ernakulam

You should most definitely try the classic French toast here which is their signature dish. Lush loaves of smooth bread soaked in milk and cream to perfection just melts in your mouth. We tried the hot chocolate and the beef burger, all amazing. This is definitely a place I’d visit every time I visit Kochi. Staff is very warm and friendly, ample of seating and parking. Two thumbs up! 👌

Had heard a lot about this place and went in for a special day of ours. Great setting, calm ambience, a soothing vobe. Now the food. The food was good, but I felt it could be better. The bread sure was delicious and different from those available around, but the taste of the sandwich or the pasta doesn't linger around. Did not get the urge to go back again. The pastries- good, but have had better.

Best cafe in town with just amazing french toast. Best french toast in kerala. Beef burger , Fish and chips all were just top class. Loved everybit of all. Must try.

Overall, it's a good place for couples and friends to relax. However, the atmosphere is not conducive to making decisions because the large hall makes our voices louder.

Good food. Very nice fish and chips 😋 excellent burger 🍔 though the bun and garlic bread served with pasta penne Alfredo was slight hard, taste was fine. Hot chocolate, milk hot chocolate wonderful 👍. Dence cheese cake awesome. Overall very nice experience . Little congested seating. Otherwise everything was perfect 👍

If you're looking for a delicious breakfast/brunch with a nice atmosphere, look no further! This Cafe offers a wide variety of Western style foods like French Toast, Eggs, Burgers, etc. The French toast with bananas and Nutella was so good we ordered another order of French Toast, the banoffee French toast! The cheese fries were to die for! A little spicy with a smooth and creamy cheese sauce on top. The iced caramel coffee was delicious too! A nice break from filter coffee or bru :) I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Kochi!

My visit to French toast was truly pleasant. The ambiance was ideal for a hangout with friends, and the nutty orange chocolate truffle I tried was delicious.

I heard really good things about the place. Didnt feel like it lived up to the hype. Was very clean and the presentation was great. Had their beef lasagna and strawberry french toast. It was good but can be better for the price

What to say about French toast? It's just feels really really good to visit this place. The food is great, service top notch, really kind and smiling waiters, lots of food options, enough parking space, amazing ambience. Just that it's a little overpriced but their sourcing of food is completely organic so it's understandable. Really, do try it out.

A great place to go to if you want a peaceful ambience. Their menu has great options and the food is also of a good quantity. The food was great in taste and quality. Their desserts are a must try. They also sell Their own products. The store is calm and quiet and also is colorful with pop reference posters.

Loved the food. The cafe had a great ambiance, and all the clinking spoons and sounds made it feel like I was in an ASMR YouTube video. Mac n cheese was cheesy and delicious, cappuccino was decent with velvety froth, and the red velvet cupcake was creamy too. Nothing extraordinary though- which is a bummer considering the prices. It's nice they let you chill and play cards. Good place, but could be better value for money.

If you're a fan of French toast, you need to check out this amazing cafe! Not only do they serve some of the best French toast I've ever had, but their menu also includes a variety of delicious sweet and savory dishes that are sure to satisfy any craving. The decor is charming and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating that makes it the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch or a quick bite on the go. Overall its a cute cozy cafe that serves amazing food.

French toast is an amazing restaurant with a really good ambience. The service was top notch and the food was really tasty. Fish They and chips is a must try. The sandwiches and the banoffee pie were delicious as well.

It's a great place for a brunch.bit crowded on Sunday.service and ambience is amazing 🤩🤩. slightly on the expensive side but the food quality and taste makes it worth giving a shot.
Vishnu Babu
Exorbitantly priced for what they serve. Defies logic to be served with a single piece of cake and charging 220 for it as well as charging rs 100 for black tea and the only consolation being its vanilla flavoured . Black tea is just tea powder, sugar and plain water right?? Definitely over priced but a good place for those to wish to squander away money

If you are a serious bread lover (and I do mean "S.E.R.I.O.U.S"), then this is THE place for you!! The variety of breads is amazing (considering the options available in Kerala), and excellent in quality as well (although, I personally didn't find the Olive bread very fascinating). The Garlic chilli loaf and Cinnamon-walnut bread are my personal favourites; and I would also recommend the Butter brioche, Choco-chip bread and Roti kopi. The cakes and pastries are, yes, to die for; and the variety is definitely inviting. The Banoffee pie and the Apple-raisin-cinnamon pie would be my personal recommendations for first timers. And if you are into citrus flavours, the Lemon drizzle cake too. I am (literally) yet to try everything on the menu, and shall be posting reviews as I do. (And that's a foodie's promise! :) ) I am quite a regular at the outlet at Panampilly nagar, and the service there is satisfactorily good enough. I hail from Calicut, and the bread orders from home (and friends!) are increasing by the loaf!! (PS - do you offer memberships? :) )

The best breakfast, bakery, pastries, French toast and the BEST hot dark chocolate ever with the right ambience :-)

One would assume that the outrageous pricing would be justified with the quality of food, service and ambience, but no. We waited at least one hour on an order, that too on a quiet day, just to get something that we didn't order for. The waiting staff have horrible attitude and wouldn't even respond to you. Found them extremely rude. I wouldn't ever go back there.

One of the best ft and burgers I've had in Kerala. You guys doing great
Elizabeth Alex
I ate the beef burger and I wanted to eat three more of those! The meat just melted and the buns were homemade and everything else inside just made so much sense.

Been here 3-4 times over the last 3 years. It is my favorite Brunch spot in Cochin. The space is modern, casual and very relaxed. Can't wait to come back.

Exorbitantly priced and the cheese cake we brought seem to have a sour taste. Cannot be recommended for sure!
Jobi Sandeep
good ambience...good food..but need more assertive staff..but POS not working ..is surely big No..No..
Abhilash Ps
Asked for fries shown a big box and said won't be full ordered and got fries in a pickle box. Then ordered one more as the pic of first box was shared with a friend. Asked for hot dark chocolate cofee with milk on side. Got a big cup with little chunks of dark chocolate and milk while poured hardly made half the cup. Not worth ambience and money

Pure love...and the pizzas are to die for....OH MY GODDDDDD...

This is a nice, quaint little joint with bright ambience and lots of sunlight. I like this place particularly for their breakfast/ brunch options. Do try one of their omelettes.

Best cafe in kochi. Best breads, cakes and pastries. Mont Blanc and apple tarts are must try. Nice ambience and good service. Parking available. It’s one of those places you must visit when in kochi. Really yummy food and serene ambience.

I've been an ardent fan of this place ever since this place first opened. I bring all my friends and loved ones here.<br/><br/>But today's experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I was denied service since I was pregnant and it was so embarrassing. <br/><br/>I understand every place has their rules. The main reason what caused me to be this upset are, <br/><br/>1. The person taking our temperature and handing the sanitizer never said I couldn't enter nor was I allowed because I was pregnant.<br/><br/>2. We finally sat down and the person who came to hand us the menu says I can't be there.<br/><br/>3. This was embarrassing for my husband and I. I asked why we weren't informed while entering. The employees reaction was that we didn't read the notice of the entry door. <br/><br/>4. There was no apology or a genuine remorse in the way they handled this. It is easy for us to miss out on a A4 size notice as all place has one put up with regards to denying entry for people without masks and being sanitized and hence we missed out on reading it. He claims that the person attending the door forgot but its put fault for not reading. <br/><br/>Where is the logic in this. You embarrass us on top of that no proper apology. It okay for your own employee to forget the rules but we as customers should've read the notice. <br/><br/>Extremely disappointed with the way we were treated. You guys must be one of the best places and this is not going to cause a dent in your sales. But today's experience really has deeply hurt a loyal customer of yours.

One of my favourite Cafes in Kerala. Their produce is top notch. If you are looking for a good croissant or a bouncy brioche, this is your place. I love the attention they pay to detail here, from farm range eggs to locally sourced coffee. Love how they switched from serving a side of fries with the sandwich to a good portion of greens. #VocalForLocal all the way. Make sure to try out the savoury french toast, the humble sandwiches, the desserts (My heart is screaming banoffeee) and ofcourse their range of good beverages.

So I have always seen French Toast as a kid when I used to visit kerala every year but I never actually got a chance to visit them or let's just say my mom didn't let me. So for the last year thanks to technology and Instagram I've been following them. So this time I made plans to visit Kerala in October 2019 just to go to French Toast. Yes, I'm not even kidding you. The things I do for the love of food is very extreme. Also I'm writing this review now cause I was so busy with work life after I got back from kerala and now I kinda left my job..so yeah. Anyways French Toast is bae I mean the ambience there is so beautiful and comforting you just wanna live there. The people who work there are so friendly that you wanna hug them. You see I have a thing about expensive food. I don't mind paying as long as it blows my mind off. And that's what the food at French toast did. It was so good. I was lucky to try the almond croissant there. I felt like I was in Paris. Their filter coffee too was the best. Everything I ate there was mind blowing. I'm from Goa and I so wish I could work at a place like French toast cause I'm a home baker too and I love food. Or I wish that French toast was in Goa. Now I'll have to wait till this pandemic passes to come visit you guys. Cause I'm that much in love with French toast. Thanks for creating such good food. Love from Goa.

Quality of desserts has gone down a bit , mainly due to choice of ingredients .. banoffee does not have the same taste due to quality of cream .. don’t get the taste of mascarpone in cheese cake.. bit overpriced for the quality..
Benji Johnson
My fiance loves cheesecakes and she comes here for all her cheesecake cravings. I tried the banoffee pie and that was a treat to my taste buds too. I'm not sure if the tea bags are made in-house but they looked all fancy and I wasn't disappointed taste-wise either.

Ordered the MEXICAN BEEF CHILL FRENCH TOAST and the STRAWBERRY FRENCH TOAST! The French toast was super fluffy! Both the dishes were really delicious - 5/5 . Great service, nice interiors and ambience but it’s a bit expensive! Would recommend if price isn’t an issue.

A beautiful cosy place to dine with your friends. We had ordered BBQ CHICKEN WINGS and OLIVE BREAD WITH SAUSAGES AND MUSHROOMS, GRANOLA WITH COLD MILK, RED VELVET SHAKE and MOCHA. The time taken to serve was 15minutes. bbq chicken and olive bread with sausage was delicious , however i liked the former more. However there isn't much seating available . Also there is hardly anything available for Vegetarians.<br/>Likes for:<br/>The ambiance was delightful.<br/>Staff was courteous .<br/>Dislikes for<br/>Lack for veg items.<br/>Little pricey<br/><br/>Would i go again? Yes definitely!

The place is overrated. Except for the ambience and intresting menu didn't like the food at all. Visited the restaurant based on high rated reviews 4.6 rating. But found the food to be v average. Ordered hot chocolate which was anything but hot, The pastas needed little more cooking and the fish n chips was v oily. The salted caramel pastry was a disappointment too. Have visited many continental joints in Cochin.. but found the food here v average for the pricing n reviews given. Would recommend the management to improve the food flavour n quality pls.<br/>This is a honest review as we are fond of Conti food and had gone to this place with high expectations.

Always wanted to have the breakfast here! Tried their Poached Chicken and Jalapeno on Sardough bread. The breads here was as usual sooo good. The sauce was just right amount of spice.. and succulent chicken. Paired with a side salad and their famous homemade chilli jam - yum!!<br/>Tried their Strawberry French Toast with fresh strawberries and sauce that wasnt very sweet, and their Brown Rice Salad which is a perfect choice for those watching what they eat. Best example of healthy can be tasty.

Over charged for 💩 quality and quantity of food very unprofessional staff. 🍔 are really flope please improve

Overpriced for average food.

Did not have a good experience here. We were a group of 4. Although the food was decent, it took very long to serve (almost 30 minutes), for even the first dish (a salad) to be served. The salad was also unusually warm. We were surprised that they did not serve the food together even after such a long wait. However, the worst part of the experience was that when I went up to the counter and to inform them that they took too much time. The server behind the counter told me that it was because we took too long to order - which was not true. I was surprised by the response and reconfirmed it asking “so you are saying that this is our fault and not your fault?” And he confirmed that. That is not the way to talk to a customer - and not the way to justify slow service. Wouldn't go back.

The This place is a must try if you love North Indian snacks. Love their chaats, pav bhaji and chole batura. They also have authentic Bengali sweets! best place for authentic north indian sweets and chats in kochi.

A menu for a flavor bomb breakfast. Apple Cinnamon French toast is a delicious classic and pure justice done to it. Salads are wonderful. Loaded Chicken sandwich with wheat bread is lit.

Beautiful interiors and classic ambience with upholstery mostly white. Talking about food; tried from All Day Breakfast, French Toast, Savoury, Chocolate pancakes, Caesar Salad, Bailey's Cake and Spaghetti with Beef balls. All of them were very good in taste and presentation. Quantity wise it's not so filling but you won't mind when you consider everything. Recommended :)
Megha Joseph
A very cozy yet elegant place!<br/>The interiors are very artistic. We ordered a Cold Mocha, Fish & chips, Spagetti with meat balls, Caesar Salad with Grilled chicken and Mexican Beef French toast. They were all good. However, I wasn't very satisfied with the spaghetti and the fish. There is still scope for improvement. The rates are a little higher than usual.<br/>On the whole, it's a nice place to catch up with friends :)

Loved the ambience . Great place to hang out . Price reasonable. Good crowd and place is well maintained . They serve fresh food . Recommend this place

I've always loved this place. A place where you get perfectly toasted toasts. Very peaceful ambiance with chill music. Rates are on the higher side, so be prepared. As we Keralites are not familiar with a french cuisine, the menu might confuse us a little bit.  Good place for a date for all the lovely couples out there. I am definitely  going here again.

Our first & last resort for English Breakfast. me and my daughters crave for English breakfast and we just French Toast. We have been to the place, and we have ordered, and never a dull moment. The Banoffee pie is a showstopper. Daughters love the Hot chocolate as well :)The price could be a bit more less though.

5/5<br/><br/>The BBQ chicken wings was super juicy and amazing<br/><br/>The beef lasagna was cheesy and baked to perfection..<br/><br/>Beef burger coupled with fries was fab as well<br/><br/>The milk hot chocolate is worth a try<br/><br/>The mint fizz was okayish but the lime fizz is a better choice<br/><br/>And the chocolate cheesecake ah! Mouthwatering<br/><br/>A great place with good ambience, great staff and amazing food

Good place for hangouts. friendly service. good quality of dishes. we had a nice healthy breakfast, calm and cool place with soothing music was a wonderful experience

One of my absolute favourite places in Cochin. I love their pastries and French toasts!! The ambience and service is also great. Love the fact that there are few favourite items that are kept for customers to buy.<br/><br/>The only feedback I have is that the pastries are over priced but otherwise absolutely love this place.
Guddy Pavith
I went there with my friend. We had a Beef Lasagne, Pan fried chicken pasta and hot chocolate.<br/><br/>*Lasagna - Loved everything about it. Loved the filling to bits. It got over in no time.<br/><br/>*Pan fried chicken pasta - Ok-ish. We opted for Alfredo sauce and spaghetti pasta. Bt should have gone for penne pasta instead coz we didn't like the spaghetti. But the chicken pieces in it tastes good.<br/><br/>*Hot chocolate - Loved! Went for milk chocolate coz I'm a chocolate lover!<br/><br/>The ambience is gud with an English touch. Would go there again to have the lasagna and hot chocolate!

I’m not throwing hate on this place but I will back my rating with facts and experience.<br/><br/>a) I ordered a beef burger worth Rs 385 that was honestly not worth it. The bun wasn’t good quality. It didn’t even have lettuce, onion or tomato in it. All it had was the patty, gherkin, mayo and bbq. Very very disappointing, pathetic and abysmal.<br/><br/>b) Secondly, in my Zomato special requests, I specifically requested that my burger not contain gherkin and jalapeño but guess what, there it lay 3 long strips of gherkin.<br/><br/>c) Thirdly, my zomato guy was late by 30 mins but that may not have been the restaurants fault. So I’ll let them off the hook on this.<br/><br/>Well, I have no clue on how the other items taste but please stay away from this Beef Burger which is pure shit. Can’t believe I had to eat such bad food on such a special day of mine.<br/><br/>400 rupees of wasted money attached below.

Simple and yet elegant in approach. That’s what comes in mind when you reach French Toast. Was extremely hungry in the morning so I opted for their Breakfast combo. Each element of this combo was exquisite and brilliant. The care given to minor details is evident when you try their scramble. Just the right consistency with the right flavour. Simply spellbound by their classic French toast. Will definitely visit again to try the other variations in French toast which I’m quite sure wouldn’t be disappointing. Great place. Great ambience. Great food. Way to go guys.
Krishnadas
For me its my goto place for desserts in kochi, that doesn’t mean their other stuff is bad !! The food also is great here.<br/>I believe the pure quality of the stuff they serve commands the price they charge!!<br/>Their Top notch service and the ambience makes us wanna come back here every weekend.
Hayathi Ayoobkhan
Love how the sauces always compliment the dish here. The place gives an amazing ambience and is a great place to sit around and chill with a book, or have some great conversations.

My first visit to Cochin with friends and they took us here. Simple place with yummy food. I had not expected the toasts to be so huge and yummy. Maybe they could include a few more things in their menu but it's a great place for breakfast or brunch.
Capt Sanjith C K
A good quiet place where you can sit in and enjoy your coffee/meal while you read a book or chill out with your friends. The ambience is quite relaxing and the staff welcomes you with a smile. The owner is also around most of the time to look into customer comfort and satisfaction. Prices are a bit steep, but it’s worth it for what the place is. It will cost you Rs 400-500 for two. It’s a great place for breakfast!!

A restra with a perfect french cafe decor, updated music list and on the fringes of the residential area. Perfect place for anytime meal...<br/><br/>Menu is surprisingly french with some positive twist. Loved my quinoa salad, the balance of ingredients and freshness was perfect with some surprising nuts and crunchies in between.<br/><br/>A beautiful sandwich loaded with sausages and mushroom cheese gravy was best which kids keeping coming back to again and again here...along with the chocolate truffle and some macroons. Fun doesn't stop at food, floats over to the drinks too with amazing Himalayan tea as well as coffee.<br/><br/>If I am in Kochi, this is must tick..!!

A great place to take a date. Good choice of sweets and savoury items. A bit on the expensive side but the tastewise really good. Highly recommend if u want yo take ur adte and impress them.
Niveditha Narendran
Amazing ambience, great music, beautiful interiors, lovely location, and food that is at par!<br/>Their desserts are made to perfection, be it the taste or the texture.
Tushar Joseph
The Bonchapie was just ridiculously flaverful and tasty.Their ambiance is good with good soft rock music in the background. They thing that put me off was the very steep price tag for the relatively simple dish like a French Toast and truth be told it is not worth that much the bread was dry at particular areas butter other than that a really good dining experience.
Niharika Hema Raj
I'm a regular here. I love most of their food. I especially like the French toast. There are different kinds. Their breakfast options are great! They don't have much for vegans. I don't think there's anyone in Kochi who wouldn't praise their desserts! I tried this almond croissant from here the other day, it's not on the menu and I've not seen it on display thereafter. I really wish they'd bring it back!
Kanchan Gupta
New to zomato and thought of reviewing one of the best cafes in town first. This is one of the oldest cafe that I frequently go to with my friends. It's a great place with great food. They have a small place with beautiful decor. Would recommend this place to everyone. Try it its beauty.
Samantha Abraham
I think I've almost always been here only for desserts. And the reason I write this review today is because I had the most yummiest passion fruit curd and soufflé cheesecake. It's light and goes very well with the passion fruit curd. Also happened to taste the baileys cheesecake which was delicious too but I've had better.<br/><br/>Nothing better than having dessert in a pretty little place like this!
Soumya Ranjan
Great food. Must try lasagna. Awesome service with fair menu. Lit ambience. Great if you are coming for a date. They provide variety of milkshakes( red velvet❤️) and coffee , if you are so into coffee.
Andrea Jojo
French Toast is tucked away from the busy atmosphere of Panampally Nagar. It’s a bit hard to find but there is fairly decent amount of parking space. The interiors are done up with a very chic touch to it. <br/><br/>I have been here twice and both the times the food was absolutely delicious! I had the Greek Salad, Healthy Garden Salad, Penne Arrabiata and Lemonade and the Almond Pear Tart for dessert.<br/><br/>Although its a bit on the pricey side, the food was really fresh and the flavours were perfect. Loved the ambience and the people who served us. They are known for their desserts, so anything sweet from here is an absolute must try! Their tarts and cheesecakes are yummy too.<br/><br/>The washroom was surprisingly very neat compared to other restaurants in Kerala.
Mel Lewis
Really good ambience, delicious food, try their tiramisu.. it’s fantastic.. the coffee is a bit of a let down but the food absolutely makes up. Great for catching up with friends or a lovely Sunday brunch. Portion sizes are really good and fairly priced.

My visit at @frenchtoastindia done right!❤️ I must say, this is the finest cafe with a beautiful decor in Kochi! I heard that everything they use for their menu is so natural and yes, I did feel it when I tried some. Even though we had to wait for some time for the food, the taste and quality was totally worth it.<br/>1. Thai Chicken Salad(₹300): Fantastic dressing with grilled chicken, veggies with a lime-chilly flavour to it. Nothing better than this when u drool for a healthy salad like this!❤️<br/>2. Herbed Chicken Sandwich(₹300): I usually don't go for sandwiches every time, but this one is foodgasm guys! That herb flavoured chicken with some mozzarella, sundried tomatoes were 🤤. It was well and good with the fresh orange juice!<br/>3. Mont Blanc Cake: A soulful pastry that takes the quality game to the next level! The softness and richness, uff!!! Highly recommended😍.<br/>4. Blueberry Financier: Another alternative to mini muffins that is studded with blueberries. Oh my, loved that buttery taste. This was a treat and a definite must try!!<br/>5. Red Velvet latte: All I have to say: PLEASE DO TRY IT. IT IS THE BEST!💓<br/>6. Golden Fizz: Another incredible and refreshing drink to beat the heat.<br/>7. French Omelette: Hands down for this. Also it can be defined for 'Perfection'!!!!!💓💓💓👍<br/>_<br/>I ll be coming back to try their breakfast, as I heard u get the best!😊<br/><br/>#foodexplorer #loveexploring #loveforfood #foodie #foodpics #foodphotography #foodgasm #foodporn

Came here for breakfast.<br/><br/>The service was good and the staff were friendly.<br/>The food we ordered were really delicious. The menu is very interesting with lots of refreshing items to try out.<br/><br/>Hot chocolate and red velvet latte are must tries.<br/><br/>Only thing that could be better is the service time. They took quite a bit of time to serve the food.

Kudos for the ambience and foodstyling. Pastas and sandwiches at a premium. The cakes look scrumptious but didn't try. All dishes came soon but Well made. The couverture needs a tweak on technique, could improve.<br/>

Excellent Cakes !! Try the baileys cheesecake if you happen to visit , cute ambiance , located in a peaceful neighbourhood, great to take kids to enjoy savouries.....

I have been to #Frenchtoast,Panampilly nagar.<br/>Tried Beef Chilly Omelette served with sour cream, Pancakes with sausages and fresh fruits.<br/>Beef Chilly Omelette is the one I ordered and I am glad I did it. Pleasant decor. Friendly staff. Elegantly decorated in retro but not to the point of an overkill. Neat (but occasional fly can be spotted 😊). Had breakfast of chilli omelette and french toast with mushrooms. Was quite delightful. Coffee is pedestrian. But the freshly squeezed orange juice was heavenly (without sugar).

First off, the decor is amazing. White walls and furniture, posters and pictures on the walls, wide array of food displayed on shelves and the beautiful waft of the food cooking in the kitchens.<br/><br/>We had the Banoffee French Toast and Fish and Chips. Even though it may seem to be on the pricier side, the palate begs to differ. Totally worth it!

Nice and quiet place. I am definitely planning to visit there again. This time I tried Red Velvet Latte & it was good. Friendly Staff. Prices are average.

This food joint in kochi needs no intro, it's quite popular among people mainly because of the good food, good ambience and great service. A bit pricey, but worth it!. Do check it out.

Felt like being 'smoked out' from the cafe<br/>Very slow service.<br/>Mediocre food<br/>Not worth the price tag.<br/>Kochi definitely has much better cafes.<br/>

Been a while since my last visit , and was taken aback by how much things seem to have changed. I mean, the place USED TO BE NICE. I dunno if the staff or management has changed since, but the experience have certainly taken a nose- dive.<br/>Where to start ?<br/>- Walking in, we were surprised by the thick intense smoke that was filled inside...Like you see when a room is fumigated !! Hardly the ambience that you want to sit down and relax in a cafe<br/>- The 'music' was blaring to a point that it was a commotion rather than a pleasant background score. To be fair, they did turn the volume down upon request.<br/>- Poor and snail paced service . You see waiters huddled up near the cash counter, but no one is interested to find out what the customer wants. In my case, all I asked for was the bill, and it took them over 20 minutes for that ! It was not as if the place was busy at the time.<br/>- The place had always charged exorbitantly. But earlier I felt that it was somewhat justified as an indulgence when you are provided with something unique or worthy. Now, its no longer the case as 1)Kochi has quite a few places offering superior food and ambience and 2) they have gone down in quality of service considerably. Food was palatable, which was a relief.<br/>People who take pleasure in paying up for something nice and fancy might find this place to be a disappointment, I'm afraid.<br/><br/>- And when this was brought to the waiter's notice, there was no apology. A callous " won't happen during the next visit" was the answer !!<br/>I don't think there's going to be a next visit for many people here.<br/><br/>

Been wanting to go here forever and finally when i did, daaayum son them prices!! Its frigging 70 for a tiny ,barely bigger than a coin sized macaroon i mean come on!!<br/><br/>Anyway, coming to the food<br/>*DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE*<br/>this was a chocolate pastry with buttercream and milk chocolate shavings. Delicious and the flavours were perfect!! Not too sweet, amazing texture, perfectly moist, etc etc<br/><br/>*GINGER MINT LIME FIZZ*<br/>Yes it may look like gutter vellam ,but its not so bad. I'd asked them to put a lil less sugar. However the ginger makes your throat burn, so i think y'all should choose the mint lime over the ginger mint lime.<br/><br/>Just cutting down points for the pricing otherwise the place is pretty swell

I ordered pancakes with fruit and honey with sausages as side. Got the pancakes with fruit and honey without the sausages. Food was good to though.

Went to French Toast for a Sunday Brunch Experience and it was a delightful one. Thankfully got a table easily as I was a single diner.<br/>The ambience is was warm. Place is having a seating for around 30-40 people.<br/>Service was good, though they forgot to serve water initially but the servers were friendly.<br/>Coming to food, first I ordered a savory dish, i.e. Olive bread french toast with Sausage. It was having 2 slices of bread with with chicken sausages and a sauce with a jam on the side which is quiet good. The taste was good and portion size was also appropriate for a single person. Then I ordered an Apple and Cinnamon French Toast. It has 2 slices of Walnut bread with apple slices and cinnamon sauce. I loved the taste. Though in the end, I was finding it a bit too sweet but it's definitely worth a try.<br/>Will be visiting again to try out the other items on the menu.

The olive bread french toast is definitely a must try. Its so creamy and filling. Worth the price.<br/><br/>Ambience : Love the ambience. A perfect breakfast place.<br/><br/>Located at Panampilly nagar in a very friendly neighbourhood.

This is a Tuna Salad. The best thing about this that the salad dressing is given individually and not mixed in. The health concious lot can really appreciate thism The salad is a highly colorful one, however, all these are hidden beneath the lettuce slices :D. Overall, enjoyed the salad.

Slightly on the pricier side of things but the French toast was worth it. We had the peanut butter & jam and a Nutella & banana french toast and the former was definitely better. Peaceful place to sit and spend a few hours. <br/><br/>On the negative, the place was infested with mosquitoes once the sun sets. Made it unbearable to sit any longer.

A great place for Breakfast! Tried this Beef chilli omelette, which was doing justice to its name, spicy and full of Indian flavors. Thin layer of omelette stuffed with beef, the flavors explode in your mouth in every bite. Was served with sour cream and garlic breads which went pretty well with the omelette. Perfect to fill up one person. <br/><br/>Then I tried their chocolate orange french toast.<br/>Oh! The flavor of chocolate with a tinge of orange, this is foodgasm guys! The French toast was perfectly cooked and the flavors were perfectly balanced. PERFECT is the word for this dish. ❤️🤤 Did u notice how many times I used the word PERFECT? Damn! My mouth started watering.😂

I must say what an amazing cafe tucked in a bylane of Panampilly Nagar, KC Joseph road.<br/><br/>We ordered a Banoffee cake & a Bailely's cake - both heavenly 😇<br/><br/>I got myself a double espresso to balance to sweetness & test again impressed with the quality of coffee!!<br/><br/>I definitely coming back as h time I'm in town. 👍🏼🙂

Decent place with average food. Tried hommous with falafel, moms kebab and beef chilli fries for starters and fish n chips, chicken sandwich as main course.<br/>Less in quantity with average taste.<br/>Creme brule desert tasted good. Overall average place for hangout.

After hearing quite a bit about this place, I decided to meet a friend over here after coming to Cochin after 2 years. The place seems decent with good ambience but the food just went down hill from there for me.<br/><br/>Being from the same industry I can assure you my taste buds are extremely alive and they do understand the layerings of flavours most other chefs try to inculcate. Although the case, this was extremely bland and didn't result in an explosion of flavours as perceived. The bun of the burger wasn't the freshest of them which wasn't even toasted. The gherkins were thick and well way too big for my liking. And the beef patty was a complete let down. My friend ordered the Mexican beef french toast which again had nothing amazing to offer. The flavours weren't right and it felt almost like the dish was a trial and error.<br/>It could've just been a bad day for the kitchen since you guys have a high rating, I'd hope to try this place again whenever I'm back and hope they've improved. Good luck!<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Food - 2/5<br/>Overall - 3/5

The French Toast at Panampilly Nagar is a perfect place to eat at. Their breakfasts are amazing and the food is beautiful and tasty.<br/><br/>The ambience is lovely. Place is quiet and spacey. Having those transparent glass walls provide you the view to enjoy the rain.<br/><br/>The service is good and the staffs are very friendly and attends to your needs as fast as they can. I visit this place quite often and not once have they disappointed me in any way, be it food, service or the cheque.<br/><br/>Highly recommend this place for refreshing breakfasts, for hangout with friends and having some desserts or even do some of your official work while sipping on that hot hazelnut latte.

A huge fan of this place. <br/>LOVE LOVE LOVE their little chocolate cupcake with the buttercream frosting. (Though the last time I had the cupcake they had the Italian buttercream rather than the traditional buttercream which I completely disliked, I hope it was just a one day thing). The banoffee pie is another dessert I liked. Well, most of their desserts are delicious, except for the Japanese cheesecake, which is very average and extremely overpriced. It basically tastes like dense Sponge cake. <br/>I’m not such a big fan of the French toasts here. I find it a bit too heavy. I’d still go back for their chicken pie, mini blueberry tarts, chocolate tarts. Or even their sandwiches. <br/>

I visited French toast a week ago with great expectations but to my dismay, the food & drinks were TERRIBLE. The ambience was pretty good which is why I gave it an extra star than I wanted to. I ordered hazelnut coffee, some fries & a plate of lasagna, which were overpriced. The coffee was not good, the fries were meh and the lasagna lacked seasoning and didn’t taste like anything.

Sensual Desserts - that’s what comes to my mind when I think of French Toast. Oh. What an incredible experience that was.<br/><br/>French Toast - without a doubt, my favourite place in the whole of Kochi. <br/><br/>The menu boasts of a spread of continental dishes - and no prizes for guessing what the star of the menu is, yes, the fabled French Toast. We spent quite a long time just on deciding what to have, though “one” item off the menu was decided and reserved early on (yes, I went upto the counter and asked the attender to keep the last two pieces reserved and not to give it off, sigh). <br/><br/>We had their:<br/>Cheese Fries (lightly spiced and the cheese spread was yumm), <br/>Mexican Beef Chilly French Toast (minced beef meat with kidney beans, the second dish from right in the third photo), <br/>BBQ Sweet Chilly Chicken Wings French Toast (Goodness Gracious! This was a treat and a definite must try, the crispy chicken wings lightly sweetened with the BBQ Sauce and the succulent buttery bread where the knife just sinks into),<br/>Classic Beef Lasagne (this dish was a bit too cheesy for me, but taster quite good), Fish and Chips (I’m not a seafood person, but I actually liked the dish when had with a huge dip of mayo), <br/>Strawberry French Toast (had this on a previous occasion, the sugar rush was so heavenly that there is little wonder as to why this is their one of their signature dishes), <br/>Mont Blanc Cake (again, had this on a previous occasion, this pastry takes the quality game to the next level, with the imported ingredients playing different chords with your tastebuds), <br/>Mars Cake (another sinful pastry, the sugar high is severe and may leave you wanting more) <br/>and then there is my all time favourite and that “one” dish worth reservation and a hattrick visit (yes, you heard that right, just for this signature dish) - Banoffee Pie, sensual, soulful, sinful and at present, the world’s best dessert personally. Phew! <br/><br/>I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ll never forget that first bite of Banoffee Pie - hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. <br/><br/>One of the best dining experiences I’ve had from Kochi. <br/><br/>Located within an interior road, this place is away from the hustles and bustles of the traffic. The interiors are very well done, with light music playing in the background - setting up the right feels. The staff is very polite and professional. One could look forward to times well spent here.<br/><br/>Now for the pricing, as the adage goes - quality comes at a price. Menu is quite expensive, but the quality of the food is worth the price. You don’t just pay for the food, but for the good time spent here.<br/><br/>Definitely recommended!

Food was amazing. Specially loved the Benoffee French toast. Was filling and didn't try anything else. Would love to go back sometime again. The staff was courteous and place is cute. The place was filled with smoke from the kitchen and except that, everything was great!

Visit on June 7, 18<br/>4pm<br/><br/>I visited the place based upon multiple recommendations but it was a letdown.<br/><br/>There was a ruckus with maintenance going on. It was so much so that the overhead lamps were swinging. We couldn't hear each other speak. Any self respectable establishment would have shut down in order to maintain standards of decorum.<br/><br/>Food -<br/>Ordered the apple cinnamon French toast, white hot chocolate and green tea.<br/><br/>The hot chocolate was served as chocolate pieces in a tea cup, with lukewarm milk to mix in it. The milk wasn't warm enough to melt the chocolate completely. And it fills approx 60% of the cup. Mind you, I'm used to hot chocolate being served in a mug. And hot.<br/><br/>The French toast was really good. It was soft with the flavor sunk deep.<br/><br/>The green tea never came. We asked for it thrice. It popped up on the bill though.<br/><br/>Overall an unpleasant experience

A must try for all foodie kochiites I'd say. If you're here for the first time (also if you love french toast) , try the Banoffee french toast. It doesn't look very appealing but it's sure to give your taste buds a treat. The tarts look extremely cute and the pastry options are plenty. Love the ambience too!

They have the best banoffee pie in town. The cakes and desserts and hot chocolate is very special here. Their sandwiches, quiches and iced teas are also a must try.

One of the worst places i have been to. I do not question the quality of the food as i did not even feel like eating it after i had an arrogant conversation with the owner of the restaurant. I ordered the breakfast combo including the sausages and pancakes served with fruits and honey. What i expected was not served to me and when i questioned the qty, the owner asked me not to make a scene as this place has been running for quite some time. As a customer, i think i have the right to return a product or service if it is not satisfactory which is what i did. And i was told by one of the staff that if a customer has ordered any dish off the menu, they will have to pay even though it has not been eaten or touched. I was rudely asked to pay the money even though i did not eat what i orderd and when i asked the staff to reduce the amount from my bill, she simply ignored me. The breakfast combos are all above 300 which to my opinion is not worth the price. When i tried giving the owner a feedback, he told me not to tell me how to run a restaurant and how the pricing scheme works! The attitude of the people who work here and of the owner's is absolute bullshit! I was told that no one has ever complained of this place and it has been running for 6 years. I do not understand why it is okay to pay a bill of 350 when we are not served the same amount. It is our right to question any product anywhere you go because at the end of the day, the money is going from you salary and the right to question belongs to every customer. The sad part is i will not know the quality of the food because of the attitude of the staff that works here. I was also told by the owner that things are done differently in kochi. Why is that so? Are we idiots to pay for more just because we come from kochi?Be it american pancakes or pancakes hailing from egypt, pancakes are made of the same ingredients which is butter, milk and eggs. I may be just one customer complaining about the food and attitude but i think change starts with one customer. I advice anyone who visits this place to question the dish you order if it is not up to your satisfaction because if you quietly pay for a dish that you are not satisfied with, the arrogance will continue and so will their so called "pricing scheme"!
