Review Bread World - Ernakulam

Sandeep Balakrishnan
I wanted to share my recent experience at the Breadworld, as it was truly delightful. Upon visiting, I initially intended to purchase some breads for home. However, the inviting ambiance of the place made me stay for a dining experience. I decided to try their mango juice, tender coconut shake, and a sandwich. The first bite into the sandwich left me feeling amazed - it was incredibly well-baked and bursting with flavor. The mango juice had a generous amount of pulp and tasted absolutely refreshing. The tender coconut shake was simply divine; its smooth texture and rich taste were a treat for my taste buds. Impressed by their offerings, I also purchased some buns and fruit crush to take home. I must say that all the products were of top quality, which justified their slightly higher price compared to other places. The quantity provided was also satisfying. Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the polite and attentive staff members at the Bread House. They made sure my visit was enjoyable from start to finish. Lastly, I would like to mention that parking at the Bread House was convenient and hassle-free. Overall, my visit to the Bread House was memorable and highly satisfying. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality baked goods or a cozy dining experience.

Bread world serves good quality food. Restaurant customers prefer to eat at a restaurant instead of buying a takeaway meal. This is because of the restaurant ambiance.

Situated on the Jawahar nagar main road, they serve a good spread of snacks like puffs, rolls , sandwich, and sweets and pastries. Good coffee.

It's a nice place to be IN, especially during evening time with a cup of tea or coffee. The seating is very near to the billing area and other stuff which is for sale which can bother your privacy.

Sandwiches are good and best place to buy snacks and cakes

Good ol' Bread World. Been there since ages and hopefully will be there for ages.

Their own prepared items are so good. One thing is that they don't resell many items nor do they reproduce them, some may find things not available here.

Good place for a small evening talk with a friend. It is basically a bakery, and has tables for dining as well. Try the chicken tikka puffs. Every item on their menu has great quality.
Rizwana
Love the food, drinks, cakes and their service too. Their chicken mayo sandwich , chicken Tikka sandwich and chicken whole wheat sandwich, samosa, fish cutlets, spring ris, passion fruit and lemon iced tea and dark fantasy cakes are the best .

Bread world is the most popular bakery in Cochin. Cakes, snacks everything is good here! Price is affordable, quantity is high.Service is good and ambience is fine! The bread world from subash chanderbose road kadavanthra brings back so many memories I don't know were to begin. For me it is clearly one of the best bake house in town I really love their burgers and pastry's. One thing I personally love about bread world is that their secret mayonnaise is soo damn good. In the end it's a perfect place to hang out! Must visit .Highly recommended..!

Many of them don't know that Bread World at Jawahar Nagar has a Multi Cuisine Restaurant named Nova Cuisine. But I've been regular to this place for last few years. Not all items are good but few items shouldn't be missed here.

If you're a malayali I know your love for porotta & beef and I must say this place serves amazing Beef Fry well cooked with rightly spiced and those porottas are super flaky and huge.

Don't miss their Butter Chicken and Butter naan you may have better options in town but this isn't that bad. Worth a try.

Food Lovingly
Rahuls Food Scenes

I must confess that Nova Cuisine, the breakfast and brunch/lunch buffet is very high on value, variety and taste. have been there more than a few times now and guessed it was time to write a review. Eggs to order, live appams in addition to for bfst an egg preparation kerala style, idly/uttapam, upma, vada iddiyappam etc. alternate themselves. You would also find bread pizza, croquet, sausages too. There would be a meat/chicken curry for breakfast along with vegetable stew or similar as well. As though this ain't enough cereals, assorted breads, fruits toast join the buffet. Well before it slips my mind fresh juice, cold coffee find place for themselves....now all of this spread in an decent aircondionted restaurant for all of Rs. 220/adult is far from high value it's super value. The brunch gets a few more main courses in meat and fish and breads nd rice desserts and here it's 340/-. Awesome people too.

We always come here for Sunday breakfast buffet and love it at first try! However as we continued to go options became lesser and lesser. Hope that gets fixed soon. Their bread pizza, sausages and appam to go is delicious.

The food there was mediocre. Ambience was okay . Staff seemed kinda uncool . Pricing was reasonable. Quantity was less. Will not be returning anytime soon

The ambience was nice and so were the shakes. The fish cutlet and the chicken croissant were good. Was very disappointed with the mud slice cake. It was hot N tasted horrible. Recommend not buying that.
Caution: If anyone of you is planning to buy a cake from Bread world (kadavanthara) make sure to check it before purchasing. I had a terrible experience today. Parceled two chocolate and praline pastry this evening for my folks. I took a bite as soon as I reached home , the cake was disgusting, actually it was expired, a transparent jelly substance was found inside it. Since I had good cakes from Bread world before, I decided to call them to raise my concern, but later what happend shocked me, they were mocking me and neglected whatever I said. I really didn't expect such a response from them. I didnt call them for raising an issue, I just wanted to let them know that the cake was spoiled, so that they don't serve anyone else., But their attitude was intolerable. Later they admitted their mistakes. So people please make sure that the takeaways are fresh and good to eat.A request to the Bread world management, please behave and listen properly to your customers .

Thank you

Took a chocolate double delight cake for a friend's birthday.Wasn't disappointed at all.The cake was simply yum from all the angles. It got over in 5 minutes .Highly recommended.

I just happened to pass this way and this eatery stands right in front for me to walk in and have a snack. I munched on the egg sandwich and cappuccino. The egg sandwich, though the menu said would be in wheat bread, was in white bread, moist and grilled. Tasty and decently priced at Rs.95. Cappuccino came with a tiny sugarless cookie. Much love to them for it. Again, priced decently at Rs.55.
On another day, Sunday to be precise, I tried their Sunday Brunch. The buffet spread is sumptuous with Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine options for breakfast and lunch. there are plenty dessert options too. It's priced at Rs.275
Final word- it's been a win-win experience.

If you come by Subhas Chandra Bose Road anytime, and are looking for a good place to eat food , then Bread world is the best place to have food at .

They have great customer service , tasty dinner after 7:00PM , great lunch , snacks , cakes and even special offers for occasions let it be Onam , Christmas or Easter

Bread world brings back so many memories and I don't even know where to begin. Clearly one of the best bake houses in town, they boast a great spread. From the regular bakery snacks (chicken spring roll I love) to sandwiches to even brunches ! The Sunday brunch they offer (till 11 am) is an absolute value for money and worth every rupee. The club sandwich and shakes top my favorites here. Great place to hang out.

Bread world has been around since I think I was 13. So that is a long long time. Over the years BW has managed to root itself firmly and continue to provide and cater to it's patrons and hence managed to keep it's customer base sound.
The reason I still go here is although different.
What I have come to see is that the quality of food has declined steadily over a period of how many ever years it has been especially in the recent few years.
A few days back I had gone to pick up some croissants and wheat bread . While at it I picked up veg puff, chicken tikka puff and a caramel tart.
The caramel tart used to be one of my favorites as a teen. Whenever I used to come down for holidays ,I would always step in to treat myself to a tart. I don't think am buying one again. The taste was wierd and the caramel didn't taste like caramel. How devastating to have your childhood friendship torn into shreds . Well that was the end of that .As for the snacks, my family threw it away stating that they were close to being inedible. I tasted the chicken puff and it was very salty so that is a good enough reason for something to be inedible.

The croissant and the bread are good which is why I will continue to stop over here. Not because they are best in the city but because there is no other place around that sells wheat bread. Everything else sold in the name of the wheat bread is a joke. BW knows how to get their wheat bread right.

Rate -o-meter is not going to move beyond 2.5 . A note to the management: Common guys .. Pay close attention . Things have changed in Cochin. You are not the only place around here anymore. Step up !!

I think this is their flagship shop, not sure though, but since it is close to my home and office we always end up buying snacks from here. They have a very simple menu, most of the things are nice. But the main highlight is the cookies and pastry range. It is not a very premium bakery but the best among its league.

Don't let looks deceive you. This seemingly simple bakery has some good food. We had the cowboy burger and fish and chips. Both were very nice. Fish in the fish and chips was a cutlet instead of a fillet of fish, but it had so much flavour, cooked to perfection, not at all greasy and super crunchy that I noticed only on my last bite that it was a cutlet!!! Looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch and other goodies.

A club sandwich is a simple snack which is surprisingly messed up in most places.. But over here they got it bang on.. Very filling indeed for around a 100 bucks.. Pretty good pastries as well..What let me down, however, was their fish fingers.. There was too much tasteless batter and too less fish.. Something to improve on.. But on the whole, quite satisfactory..

Nice food... Good ambience... Reasonable pricing.... Bread world is a perfect place to have breakfast or lunch if you are in the locale... Never had dinner from here... So not sure about that...

I would say it is an an above average place with a good variety menu.
Burgers and sandwiches are fresh and we loved it.
However the pie we had from there was so terrible-tasteless.
Juices are fresh so as the coffee is good although it is a machine made one.
Apart from that I would recommend their spring roll.
Moving on to customer service side I won't say anything great as from my below experience.
We were a group of 5 people and we paid the bill via our waiter as usual.
However when we were about to walk out after our dinner we heard a shout from the manager asking his staff whether they paid the bill or not.
He could have checked it much better than embarrassing us in-front of other guests. So 'from my onion' that was not at all a professional gesture.

They had a nice burger offer for students. Well that's gone and so has the quality of the burger. It's a mess. There's a bloody cold slaw in the burger and some cheap Patty. Some of the ready made stuff is pretty good though. As a bakery good. As a restaurant not so good

We were six people in total at the restaurant the other day. After a few requests only they could join their tables for is . We ordered a variety of things. The chicken sandwiches were fresh , burgers were tasty , but for the size. The pastries, muffins and the cakes are a must try out here!
The interiors are neat and clean

This place has the most delicious of mousses and cakes, and the freshiest of flavoured breads!! Their banana and carrot cakes are must haves! Very courteous and helpful staff!
Kraysha
Must try their carrot cake and banana cake.. they bake each cake on each day on a regular basis :) their plain croissants are my favourites too.. it reminds me of the ones served in airplanes :)

You want try some pastries but want to go easy on the pocket, then this "could" be it. I can't say they are cheap on the rates but Tha could be why they make good pastries.
Moving on to the dishes, the burgers are below average and the sandwiches are okay. ultimately, I can't say I'm very fond of it. I've had better pastries at similar rates.

The place where we stopped to grab a quick bite between tuitions when we were kids. The quality and quantity have dropped since then and like everywhere else the prices have gone up. But still bread world and its chains are still very popular and they offer full meal options in Kerala style. They have confectioneries and breads in variety
Bhavya Balachandran
Good food...The paneer, chicken were very good.. if they could introduce a home delivery option it would have been very good..otherwise lives up to the expectation of other bread wold outlets

I went to this place to order a cake for my aunty's birthday. The people who servies in this place is really friendly, they quickly took my order and packed the item in no time. The cake tasted really good. Have to go there next time to taste some other items on there menu. Nice place to have a quick bite. Recommend to all.

One of my friends own this place.) what I really felt about this place is that it has always been something different from a typical bakery. Serves high quality stuff which is always fresh and has got a different and interesting twist of taste to it. We quite often visit their new branches in lulu, kakkanad etc

I've always been a big fan of their sandwiches, and of the French fries and that delicious dip that accompanies. Their burgers are pretty good, too. Also, their juices and drinks - specially their mojitos - are worth trying. Pizzas are fine, too. And their cakes and pastries are really good. Service is pretty good. Breads are good. A place I'd go back to on a fine evening for a quick bite.

Bread World offers you a wide range of pastry, cakes, loafs and chocolates. That is the best part of them. And that is the only best part of them.

Their meat menu is quiet tasty and full in variety of dishes but a bad stomach is mostly guaranteed. You will only get coffee or tea from a wending machine and you only have that one choice if u prefer for a much stronger blend or so. They takes care of your diabetic issues very much and thus will give u only one single sachet of sugar unless if you ask more for your requirement.

On Upstairs, a multi-cuisine restaurant with excellent seating and ambiance is available but that standards are not applicable in food quality and taste.

But they provides a not so bad parking and security service and that helps to manage a shopping for 'food to have on time' with ease. Their hospitality is quiet impressive and billing is not that up to. A wide variety of packaged foods are available including creams from London Dairy.

Best, SP...

Bread World has a rather unassuming feel to itself, especially in a city thats been crowded by Bakery outlets and Eateries. Used to visit this place rather very frequently during my school days and no Saturday evening was complete without atleast a Puff from Bread World. The Puffs, Pastries and Cakes have always been a treat for the eyes and the tummy at Bread World. The place has a really calm and cool feel which one doesnt find in a lot of New Gen eateries/bakeries in Cochin.
Must visit place for a small snack if you happen to be in this part of the town.
Sangita

I usually go here while I wait for someone. A good place for a quick bite. I love the snacks they serve. The puffs - chicken - is something I go back again and again for. Everything is at reasonable rates, and of good quality. The ambience too is good. In short, not a must visit but the place won't disappoint you at all.

Was a frequent visiter to this place during my ca articleship period. There is nothing special in their menu, but whatever they serve is the best in their class. Their puffs and all are pretty big compared to other bakeries in the city. Used to have their tarts, pastries and cakes and i have never been disappointed till date. And this jawahar nagar outlet is their best, located away from the crowd, an ideal place to have a cup of coffee and snacks
