A clean and affordable veg place. The table staff are such nice people, unlike the cashier who is never in the mood to smile.

Awesome food. I mostly love their hospitality. Every time, the stewards make us feel happy while taking the orders and while serving them. This is our most loved hangout place for dining. The first floor air-conditioned restaurant is quite comfortable with adequate table spaces. The quality of the food is what keeps us going there.

Ordinary looking at initial impression. At Thevera MG road junction. No parking place for car. But there is AC room upstairs. It was soothing temperature when I went with family for lunch in a Feb afternoon. Food was good. Service prompt. You feel welcome.

It's a Good Restaurant.. Pure Veg. . They have all sorts of South Indian Items.. Their Dosas are Amazing especially the Masala Dosa..... The selfie is right and suitable for all ages... They also have Meals, which i will say is the best buy for the price.... They also have a variety of North Indian Dishes, which may be available in the evening They also have Chappati /Porotta Combos which are best Evening takeaways... Finally they have great snacks... I liked the Cutlet which i usually available in the evening... Over all it's the best choice for Pure Veg Parking Might be an issue here, as it is located on road side and very small parking space for bikes only... People with car may not be get space to park as the road is small and also on the road side... Two wheelers can be parked with fair adjustment

I tried masala and onion dosa at this place and was worth it. Really loved the food and service. worth every penny spent! Each dosa costed around Rs 75.

Great food, ambience is good for the expected crowd. There is a car-parking ground behind the restaurant and they charge 50 rupees for cars, which is refunded from the restaurant.

Hands down the best place for a sadhya around the area. If you’re looking for some quality vegetarian meals this is where I want to point to. At 90₹ meals this is cheap and best.

Ordered Chole Bhature....really good...soft bhature served with flavorful chole masala with the right amount of oil and consistency...colour was also very appealing...well cooked chole and the whole thing melts in your mouth...bhature was a bit oily but it was very good with the right crispy exterior and soft interior. Must have.

Just had the best dosa i have had in a very long time..the sambar reminds me of the taste which my mother had prepared..the service was very prompt..the ac hall though clean was plain in ambience..they have a car park too behind the restaurant

An excellent vegetarian restaurant serving South Indian dishes. Thali Meals also available during lunch time. There is an AC restauranton the first floor and Non AC on ground floor.<br/>Parking is available in front (on road) for just 3-4 vehicles. The hotel has taken a vacant space at back side, where vehicles can be parked. <br/>The service is quick and efficient. Food is tasty. Place is clean and well laid out.

I have been to countless restaurants in my lifetime at various places in India. Irrespective of what I ever ordered from being just a cup of tea to full meal, even sat idle but was never ever asked to vacate the table or leave if I had done eating. This is the first and hopefully the last restaurant which rudely asks it's customers to vacate the tables immediately after being done with the food and moreover denies serving items like a juice or tea if you wished to sit more, in order to get the table vacated. How can a restaurant ask it's customers to vacate the table immediately after eating?? They deserve a big ZERO for this special talent of theirs. I wish I could give -5 or something. Before trying to run a restaurant they should probably try learning etiquettes and hospitality.

Ashok Bhavan is your good old  no-nonsense south indian restaurant. <br/>There is no air conditioning, no fancy decor or unnecessary show. It is clean, with basic table and bench/ chairs seating and amazingly delicious and inexpensive food.<br/>I have been there many times now. The people are extremely cordial, serve promptly and also suggest what good and new things you can eat.<br/><br/>I have had many different things here, and everything was good.<br/>Podi dosa comes with podi (gun powder chutney) layered inside, with unlimited sambhar, unlimited coconut chutney and unlimited red chutney.<br/>Steam idli is fresh, steaming and fluffy. A lesson to all idli makers.<br/>Appams are perfectly spongy, light and porous with taste of coconut.<br/><br/>Filter coffee is something that you must have here, at least two cups with any meal.<br/><br/>They also have a fresh juice counter outside and a local brand Icecream stock. <br/><br/>My comfort zone in Thevara for sure. I was so busy eating I forgot to take photos of a few meals.

A very safe bet to have decent South Indian food. I am not a big fan of their North Indian fare through, there are several people who come in and order that too, probably because of its pure veg cuisine. I am a fan of their Poori and the Pongal. Their meals are also good and would say much better than a lot of the other typical South Indian Vegetarian Restaurants in town.

Ashok Bhavan is a good place for vegetarian food if you are in and around Thevara/Naval Base. Though it is a typical vegetarian restaurant, they were surprisingly cleaner than most others.The air conditioned eating upstairs is well furnished for its class and budget and a quiet place to sit and watch the bustling thevara junction.<br/><br/>Ordered Rotis, Kadai Paneer, Mushroom masala and a vegetable biryani. All of them turned out to be good. And very economical too.<br/>If you're in thevara, and crave vegetarian, this is the place to be.<br/>PS: They have a a parking ground in the back. just take the lane adjoining the restaurant.
