Review Hotel Abdulkani (dosakada) - Ernakulam

Nice dosa shop. It is a small shop located between keerthinagar and karukapilly. The food is good with lesser options. Masala dosa, ghee roast, omlette( egg & duck ), vada etc with good tea and coffee. They always serve hot water. Ambience is ok for a small tea shop. Cost is cheap

A place delivering consistent taste for dosa varieties. Have been a regular customer for around 2 months. I usually go there at night, order Masala dosa, plain dosa, bulls eye, tea, coffee chukku kappi etc. Their masala does not have uncrushed pieces of potato and the taste is so good and can be paralleled with many of its expensive veg restaurant counterparts. The owner Mr Abdulkani really knows how to manage customers. His way of directing staffs to ask order from customers is good to see. As of now (25/05/2022), dosas, tea, chukk kaappi, single bulls eye cost 10. Masala dosa cost 60, Plain/ghee roast cost 50. A comfortable dinner costs 70, if you are like me and orders some bulls eye or tea along with dosa. They also serve parotta, but I guess it is not available in the night. One thing I noticed about them is that you don't have to ask them specifically for hot water. They always serve hot water. I have seen fancier restaurants serving cold water by default, only giving hot water upon request. If I have to nitpick some faults, the height difference between the table and the stool is not so aligned and you will have to slouch a little. The place can accommodate only around 15 people at a time. There is no squeeze type of hand wash. In the era of biriyanis and mandis costing 200 and still not delivering upon the taste, this hotel is an exception. You can expect above average tasty food at a very reasonable price.❤️

Had masala dosa which cost 60rs. For the price it was really great and had that vintage taste to it. Hygienic food. Provided coconut chutney, sambar and tomato chutney with masala dosa, great quantity. Definitely coming back here.
