Food is worth for the price
Could not be there for dining in person but ordered through online. It was the first time. But enjoyed the whole family very much. Really good and exemplary!
One among the best places to hit in Kochi for dining. Every one claims for having authentic taste but these guys have nailed it. They smell and taste authentic. Must try are kerala meals and bamboo biriyani. Got some cool deserts to try too like Ilaneer pudding, banana crepe and chocolate brownie.... Keep up your good work. Deserve 5 stars but 1 is taken for you to fight for the 5
Hey went there once with my friends. Super duper food & ambience. Loved their service also. Must try mango paneer curry with appam. Its soooooo yum. & loved their Thailand salad also. Will definitely go again.๐

Have ordered chicken dum biriyani, though biriyani doesn't have a malabar taste it was good. Chicken was cooked well. Served with salad,pappadam,payasam and pickle.

The location is fairly decent, the valet takes care of your most initial concern. We were seated right at the wnternace however there are no AC cents and it was unbearable for me to sit there. However the Staff promptly moved us to a location when it cleared. We ordered for the Parotta, Pali chicken, Chicken Varatiyathu and Chicken Tikka. The Parotta were very springy and tasty as well as the Kerala styled stir fry with coconuts in the Pali Chicken. The Chicken Tikka was not too bad either however the Chicken Varatiyathu wasnโt to its mark. It was a lot tangy than it needs to be. Prices were decent as well. This came to about โน1.5k along with the Sizzler dessert at the end which unfortunately had a very hard brownie but was not too bad overall.
Recently visited Calicut notebook, tried their nadan chicken and mutton soup and it felt like the perfect soup for the weather and was also yummy. For the starters tried their ripe mango Thai salad, chicken grilled salad and angel honey lollipop. The salads were avarage but the lollipop was delicious and for the main course ordered butter naan, kulcha, achayans chicken curry,squid dry fry & lassi. Overall the service was good and quick and they even had a valet parking.
First time dining food at calicut notebokk restaurant. It was an amazing food, we ordered fish fillet, and appam with paneer mango curry, it's a nice place to enjoying food. I'm really satisfied,

Superb interiors, I am from Bangalore and feel this rich place is very affordable.Dissapointed to know that ghee biriyani is not available. I tried Chicken fried rice which is good.
Excellent dining and friendly service. They are doing a good job of managing the limited parking space. There is valet parking available. Due to the crowd, you may occasionally have to wait outside.
The Calicut Notebook is a fine dining multi-cuisine restaurant with a good interior but It is not that noticeable from outside the road. The parking space is limited but the valet parking facility will satisfy the customers.
We ordered 3 sets of Naruneyy Chicken Biriyani(Rs.280) and a normal chicken biryani (Rs. 240). The Naruneyy Chicken Biriyani was packed in a banana leaf that opens to an aroma that makes us mouth-watering. Biriyani has a good flavor of Ghee and has enough quantity to fill a person's tummy. Depending on self capacity it may be for one or two people.
I strongly recommend the Naruneyy Biriyani if you are a Dum Biriyani lover and may not be pleasing for those who love the Kochi style Biriyani because of the lack of masala and not that spicy.
Had lunch from here. Biriyani is a good option and got complimentary payasam as well. I felt a bit crowded, can improve the dining experience if more space is allocated.
Dinner at Calicut Notebook. It was not crowded when we reached around 7:30 pm, was fully packed when we got out. Food taste was average, not something that would linger. Biryani was not available as they serve Biryani only for lunch. Beef fry was the best. Chicken was not fresh and hence not soft or succulent. Portion size is definitely an area that needs to be improved upon as against the cost. Tender coconut shake, mint lime, brownie with ice cream and pineapple juice were all good. Service was cordial, but not orderly (food reached the table, but plates did not. Then again had to ask for cutlery, none of which was on the table). The place is well maintained, neat and clean. One thing I really appreciate is all the staff had a pleasant smile all throughout. Valet parking available.
Service was top notch. From the moment you enter. Smiles all around and the folks are super friendly and polite. When we went there it was packed. Even with that service was fast and food came without any delay. Porotta was awesome, Dragon chicken was amazing.
Prices are as expected too. Parking is limited (in the front). But they manage it well. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommended.
