Review Swargam Backwaters - Ernakulam

Been here couple of times. The ambience, food quality and taste is what dragged us here second time. By that time they have improved a lot and made the place much better. Keep going team Swargam. If you're going to Swargam you won't regret the distance, bcz its nice location. You won't regret about the food quality and taste bcz it's one of its kind. You may regret a little bit on the route but looking at the end result you'll forget that by the time you finish your food. Must try!!

Been here a couple of time, the ambience, food quality and taste is what making us here again.By that time they have improved a lot regarding the space and parking facility. The taste of the dishes they have is simply awesome especially the swargam chicken. But when it’s come to service this time we are totally disappointed. We booked our seats very prior to our visit while booking it self we checked regarding the availability of dishes since it was a new year night. But once we are there almost all the dishes are not available even the breads like appam, puttu are unavailable. Also the way service team handle this is not appropriate. I will encourage to book your seat prior and make sure the dishes that you are looking is available while booking itself. Still i will recommend swargam because of its taste and ambience. If you're going to Swargam you won't regret the distance, because it’s nice ambiance and location. You won't regret about the food taste because it's one of its kind. You may regret a little bit on the route to the restaurant but looking at the end result you'll forget that by the time you finish your food. You may regret little with the service as well some time but not all the time or all the staffs. Must try!!!

The location is a little inside from the main road, but you will be happy to see the view from the restaurant and the arrangements. The staffs are so welcoming to each and every guest. We went for lunch and the typical seafood main was well enough for us to enjoy. Great place 😃

Swargam... Let me tell you directly without any filters, there is a dialogue in the movie Ustad Hotel, " kazhikkunavante manassu nirayanam" , and when I left the place, we were happy and that's what I felt special about this place. Located in the back waters, it gives you refreshing moments with the cool evening breeze, the music, and the food... If you ask me, I would suggest blocking the evening time slot, 04:30 to 05:30 of Kadavu next to the back water. Suggest to block Kadavu than Koodaram. As it takes some time to serve your or,you may try the kulfi shop within the premises. Having kulfi, enjoying the breeze, and evening backwater visuals was a good memorable moment for us. You may start your orders with Swargam chicken or beef. We went for chicken, kallappam, mani puttu, pathiri, squid, and neymeem roast. The food was not that expensive. You may still find that on the higher side. Can't comment the food to be a must try one. But it's the combo of the ambiance, the place and the food that gives you a good experience. Accepts all mode of payment. Parking is available for all reservations.

'Swargam' Restaurant in Kochi is reminiscent of 'Shacks' in Goa. Enjoyed very delicious and quality food. They served food without any delay , was impressive. Great Ambience with lights and decors with the background of backwaters.

The place is so beautiful, it is better to make a reservation and visit. Most of the dishes are good. Must try beef and koorka it was so good. They have better service too. Price was reasonable.

This was one of the best sea food experiences I had in a very long time. The fish were fresh and tasted really good. The restaurant is situated on the banks of a water front adding to the experience. I recommend reaching the location by 05:30 pm to experience the sunset also.

The hotel has good ambience and the food is good. Service is fast, the staff are polite and the quantity and price are reasonable. Good parking space. Watching the sunset while having food is a good experience. Kulfi tastes very good. The approach road is narrow and uneven. There was a slight stinking smell coming from the backwaters and mosquitoes will give you company while you have food. When coming from the Ernakulam side, don't make the mistake of trying the side road to avoid toll, it is too bad. Paying a 45 rupees toll is better for the car and passengers.

Good food good ambience, there is a magic show arranged for visitors. There is a kulfi place where we get variety of flavoured kulfi. We can watch sunset. Reaching the restaurant is kinda difficult if you are going by car, because road is narrow and barely one vehicle can pass through at a time. There is a lot of parking space, and the restaurant is located by the side of back water.

Great food and great ambience. The highlight of this particular cafe is kaayal facing area. It is so beautiful to sit by the lakeside and have nice cup of tea and banana fritters. It has the best suited name which has the literal meaning as "heaven".

This restaurant, nestled alongside the beautiful backwaters is a tranquil haven for food lovers. The menu boasts a wide variety of dishes to choose from. While the options for vegetarians were somewhat limited during my visit, the food available was still delightful. The ambiance is incredible, providing a sense of tranquility and beauty. It's worth noting that the location is a bit remote, and the road leading to the restaurant is narrow. However, the journey is absolutely worth it. The restaurant offers good service and reasonably priced meals. I would highly recommend visiting during the evening or night to fully appreciate the experience.

Visited Seagram today with friends. Ambience was good and the quality of food was also nice. Mr Anas performed some magic to us. It was interactive and interesting. Nice place to spend some time with friends and family

A cozy place to spend a serene time with friends or family. But maybe because I went on Sunday, it was crowded. You need to book your seats prior to the visit. They have two dining areas and an open mic area. One dining area is near the lake and the other is a cozy thatched area. They have a separate area hut for kulfi near the lake. It's very easy to locate swargam with Google maps. They have ample parking space and quite a good ambience. The service too was good. The aroma of fresh coconut oil welcomes you on reaching the entrance. We ordered black tea, puttu, appam, duck curry and squid roast. Other than the squid everything was yum. The appam was soft and delicious. You could have them without any curry. The duck was soft and full of flavours. They serve cinnamon flavoured black tea. Though the squid was fresh, it lacked something. Maybe the masala could have been better. Though the prices are a bit high can't exactly say it's over priced. For the ambience, service and taste the prices are fine. The only negative I felt was that they didn't have a printed menu. That would have made the choice a bit easier for the customer. The best time to visit is between 3pm to 6.30 pm

Where do I even start ! A gem of a find , you have to walk through a residential street and would never believe that there is such a nice big restaurant there ! It was at around 1045 in the night we went and the place was completely packed...oh well ! The fish was as fresh as you can get and the masala added to the koonthal fish is just mind blowing with spices and just tingles your taste buds...you can taste the right amount of every spice on it ! The beef , boy oh boy the gods own country is known for it and this place does apt justice... the place is super easy on the pocket... A definite must visit for anyone who loves spicy sea food , beef and parotta the Kerala style !

We visited Swargam last week with our family and had an amazing experience❤️.The nadan dishes were delicious 🤤 😋and reasonably priced. The service was great, and we booked our table online to avoid any rush. Online booking is available for free..Each dish was mouthwatering😋👍🏻and we'll definitely go back again💯. The ambience was nice, and we enjoyed refreshing ourselves with tasty kulfies .. The only thing to mention is that the quantity of curries could be a bit more, but overall, everything was perfect.

The place is really scenic. The place is known for the nadan cuisine. Special mention to the swargathile beef, which has a manglore touch to it.. with peanuts and all. Also tried kappa, puttu ,chemeen roast. The meal that I tried for lunch was really sumptuous . The crab roast, green chilly neymeen were my favourites. Kanamb fry was however overfilled with masala that the actual taste was not identifiable. However there is a loooong waiting time before you enter the place. So better to inform in advance. There is a lavish parking area ,although the way leading to the hotel is narrow..

A must try place.. beautiful ambience.. one of the perfect spot to enjoy sunset & food.. ❤️ .. Food is absolutely delicious & worth a try.. check for prior reservation as the waiting time is little annoying but meanwhile you can enjoy the Kulfi from the nearby kulfi parlour.. ❤️
