Quite a decent place for most non vegetarian options, however the dishes being served might vary. (i got quite a few veggies with steamed fish once but not the second time I ordered)

Worst service we orders boneless chicken biryani they gave bone wali biryani and we told to replace the biryani they didnt and gave same biryani by taking out chicken from leg piece so worst and 0 star for service 5 time we need to say then and they will give the order

A craving for greasy, desi food was satiated at this restaurant. Really enjoyed the garlic butter naan and the chilli chicken. The butter chicken, the base parameter for any Punjabi food outlet, was a little disappointing as it was bitter.

I remember being at Sardar foods around 3 years back. It was our one of the best pick for Punjabi Food. We craved to have Dal Makhani here. This was 3 years back. We came to Gandhinagar recently and planned to enjoy the dishes again at Sardar. The interiors are changed; the atmosphere looked revived. We moved in, had a seat. This is where the bad part starts. We had a seat and waited for someone to attend us. And noo it was not crowded. So finally a waiter comes and takes our order. He was the least interested person to take our order. We had 4 buttermilk in our order. Our food came except the buttermilk. There was a guy other than the one who attended us and we asked him about the buttermilk and he denies to comment and asks us to wait for the one who attended us before. So that guy finally comes and brings the buttermilk. The buttermilk was not at all like buttermilk. It was like as if that guy had just mixed water in curd and served it. The lumps of curd were present. And on asking him to replace it he said that you guys haven't had buttermilk anytime. Seriously? He was not ready to accept that it was not buttermilk.<br/><br/>This was about the service. Now coming on the food. The food was not as good as it used to be 3 years back. May be it was not their day or may be the food quality has really gone bad. So I won't comment much on food. But they really need to work on the service part.

This place is located in the complex of info city.<br/>One of my worst experiences for restaurants in infocity happened to be here.<br/>The manager was very rude and didn’t listened to us instead did what he wanted to do.<br/>We eat main course after having starters but he was the one who served us main course and told us that starters will take time to get prepared and when we refused to take main course, his behaviour was very rude and he took back the order but after some time when we finished the starters he again served us with the same previously prepared order.<br/>The chapatis and naan were very thick looked like the dough was served to be eaten.<br/>Dal makhni was fine.<br/>Masala papad were the best to have that evening.<br/>Chowmins were not prepared well. chilli paneer was fine and momos were only for name sake.<br/><br/>Overall a very bad experience <br/>Food: 2/5<br/>Service:1/5<br/>Ambience: 2/5<br/>

Worst service ever as well as taste of food was also not upto the mark. We ordered chicken seekh kabab and one mutton item in main course. They brought mutton item and later claimed it to be chicken. We tried to explain them that it is mutton, not chicken as we can differentiate the taste, but they said 'it is chicken, not mutton. The waiter might be wrong, your taste may also deceive you.' We ordered three glass of buttermilk, but received only one. We asked them to bring two more, but till the end did not receive. Worst service. Will not recommend it to anyone.

Deception in name might bring you here but surely you will repent it. Chicken is not raw and gravy is also tasteless. Recommend not to visit here if looking for value for money in terms of taste.

Overall average place to visit. We visited and ordered few items but the service was very slow. We had to wait for every item and breads would turn cool and dry out by time. Taste was good but due to things getting cooled we lost the element of taste.

Butter chicken can be little sweet sometimes. Tandoori chicken is good. Do try Afghani breast/leg which is the best one available in Gandhinagar.

bhaisaab, bas samajh lo ki mazaa aa gaya..... jab food sahi ho then to a certain extent ambiance or staff service doesnt matter much. Overall everything makes the experience but the most memorable part of it is food and its taste... and that was awesomely incredible.... ambiance was okay okay kinda.. staff was courteous and informed about the preparations, but let it be starters, or main course , now we ordered chicken pahadi tikka, and chilly wings..here pahadi tikka won the race by huge margin.. then we ordered chicken sheek kabab and tikka masala, here as well tikka masala was above sheek kebab (personal fav) taste wise both were heavens !!!!!. Visited this place twice basis on Zomato user's review first time tried American Chopssy but these people really don't know how to prepare chinese item so next time decided to try Indian dish like Biryani but it was also not worth.. staff remains in confused state and hence service also in confused state.. couldn't enjoy meal there..

Hands down the best place in Gandhinagar to eat Non-veg.Butter Chicken and Kali mirch chicken are highly recommened. The only downside is that,it's costly but this place is worth it.

Very poor restaurant in infocity supermall. Served uncooked chicken tandoori and owner was not accepting the mistake. Half of breast was uncooked. And the manager was saying in breast chicken it is usually uncooked. Not recommended. Don't go here.

I really do not understand how this place has still managed to thrive when it should actually struggle to survive. Recommendation : A BIG NO!😏 worst place ever I have seen in my life. You will find rats and big rats in their kitchen!🤤 when pointed out, Sardar ji pointed towards god and said GANESH JI KI SAWARI HAI SIR! BHAGWAN ! NAA NAHI MAAR SAKTE!. I said why to kill but prevent on which Sardar Ji bhagwan rooth jaenge sirr! Some of my friends even complained about suffering with food poisoning while some said the chicken they serve sometimes don't seem to be chicken. May be it is not fresh or I don't what does sardar ji serves!

Personal favorite for north indian food . This place is price worthy in terms of quality, service, quantity. When u go there do try their tandoori chicken / veg momos they really are good. Veg crispy is my fav along with momos. The service is good. Ambiance is not that great but decent enough for a restaurant like that and for office goers. Pocket friendly too. They serve good biriyani.

Days when you crave Chicken but are kinda broke, this place might come as a saviour. Go there, just to enjoy the good food, as the ambiance and environment isn't great, just basic seating arrangement and service. Although, the food is great! We've only tried their non-veg dishes. Their tandoori starters are just great! Especially their Chicken Tandoori breast pieces options. Their Butter Chicken was delicious as well, and Roomali roti was better than we expected from this place! Our experience with their Chinese dishes wasn't so great, so won't recommend that! Rest all the dishes mentioned are recommended!

It's difficult to locate the restaurant if you are going for first time. They don't accept card for payment, many time we have visited and asked to pay through card they gave same answer machine is not working or they don't have facility​, very strange to accept that.

Experience with this outlet was quite satisfying. Ordered Punjabi food and Rumali roti for which it is famous for. We were almost 20 persons together and believe me we do not have to wait for 5 minutes at least in between the delivery of food. Sardar Foods is famous for it's Non-veg dishes but as a veg boy I will never come to know why. In short good ambiance. Satisfying customer service. Mouth watering Food and in budget.

Good for chicken dishes! The tandoori chicken and chicken tikka were awsome. A must try. The mains we ordered were butter Chicken and mutton roganjosh.

I don't know whats wrong with this place. I grew up eating over here way back when they had outside sitting facilities. But now I think, in the fame they have lost the touch... Had too much of expectations but they ruin it I guess. I was planning to visit this place from long time as people in Gandhinagar (a few amongst whom i know) recommended this place as a heavenly delight for non-vegetarians. <br/>To start with the hygiene,infrastructure and ambience of the restaurant, I would say that infrastructure is not that great nor the ambience is.. restaurant was clean enough when we went there for dinner but a foul smell in the hotel kept bothering us for the whole time. <br/>Further, we ordered HARA BHARA CHICKEN KEBAB, BUTTER CHICKEN AND BUTTER NAAN. The taste of the food was good, but it was not as I expected it to be. The chicken used was tender and fresh, thankfully the quality of the food served was good. We loved BUTTER CHICKEN.<br/>The staff is good as well.<br/>The restaurant menu is pocket friendly.<br/>Overall it was a good experience.. the infrastructure needs to be improved though. Good place if you want to end your long lasted hunger for chickens in gandhinagar. But the utensils are not in proper condition. This is one and only place whose biryani tastes good and not bathed in oils.

This is the place I have been eating non-veg since 7-8 years. Back then Sardar uncle used to have just 2 plastic tables outside. And now he is running successful restaurant. Taste was great back then and taste is great even now. Love chicken lollipop and mutton chap and fried rice.

A place which kept me alive in gandhinagar must go and grab it don't accept cool service n all but taste most important lovely<br/>GENERALLY I DON'T RATE RESTAURANT BUT EVEN THE HONOUR REMEMBERS MY ORDER N PLACE OF DILIVRING ADDRESS THAT'S COOL loving it...... must try 4 as serving and other standards can be up for the best experience

Decor was okay... food was osum... specially chicken legs... but chienese platter which I ordered second time I went there and it was not good... else were good and good taste

Pathetic Service and People. Waiter looks dirty.<br/>We were served rotten onions, which was totally black but they didnt not bothered to look at it and were not even sorry. The biryani was pathetic and no one ate it.<br/><br/>Its a good deal restaurant for those who wants cheap food and who don't worry about quality.

If you want good quality, tasty and reasonably priced food....go for Sardar. Ambience is not good, but friendly behaviour of staffs always matters. <br/><br/>you will not be disappointed with food quality, My whole family eating here regularly for last Two year. Though I always receive a warm welcome, for a betterment I will suggest for a enhanced table serving sequence. Overall always a best wishes

For me and my friends, this place is average. We ordered spring roll, shami kebab which was not that much good what we were expecting. After that we ordered chicken masala and chickend muglai which again puts our hope down for good food. For Non-veg lovers its an average place to visit.

Loved their butter chicken. I think their s is the best you get nearby. Otherwise other things in the menu is pretty ordinary. Tandoor chicken is also good. One of the oldest nonveg outlet in Gandhinagar.

Good place, specially considering the limited number of non-vegetarian options available in Gandhinagar/Infocity. Not a very posh place, but generally clean. Food is decent and pricing is moderate. The platters are good value for money for a single person. Tandoori items are also good.
