It is located in the mg marg. It's a small cafe with good ambience and good food. Especially, coffee and cakes are highly recommend. Price is worthy according to quantity. Must try- lemon cake and red velvet cupcakes.

One of the cutest cafes of gangtok. Located on the MG marg its a small little cafe which is usually crowded and serves all kinds of food and desserts. We tried the la-phing which is a local tibetian dish and a classic cheesecake. Both were amazing. Do visit if in gangtok

Food and Ambience is really good. As a tourist, I loved the TLC Exclusive dishes such as Yellow Laphing, Shanghai Pasta and Tsamthuk soup. The staff are really polite and helpful. I highly recommend this place for tourists.

Loved it. Like Seriously. Their service is very good and prompt. Food is amazing! Try the Himalayan thali..and the cakes!!! Yummy.. banana pie, apple crumble, vanilla cake and doughnut. Also try their ginger lemon tea. It's so damn refreshing. And their Oreo shake is to die for. Cold coffee is also good.

Got a double espresso and yellow (veg.) laphing. Both the dish and the coffee were exceptionally flavorful. The coffee beans seemed freshly grinded and the profile was sour-bitter in a 50-50-ish proportion and I liked it a lot. The laphing was very, very soft, with a little bit of resistance and the filling was very soft, slightly paste-like and spicy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Recommended.

Pretty aesthetic cafe situated in M.G Road, Gangtok. They had a wide variety of food items and bakeries in their menu. The must try one is The Lafing, we tried the Veg Lafing, stuffed with spicy soya bean, absolutely delicious ❤️‍🔥 10/10. There are other varieties of Lafing available.

Landed on the first day of my Gangtok trip to this little cosy cafe and fell so much in love with it that I spent every day there till the last day of my tour. Their chocolate brownies are so chocolaty and gooey, the cheesecake is straight from the heaven and the new found love ‘lafing’ was spicy and fabulous! If you are in Gangtok, give this place a try♥️

Less glamour and more taste. A good blend of a dedicated menu of local cuisine. The photos give a better testimony to the vibe and taste. Shout out to the hardworking staff.

Undoubtedly the best pizza place (they make their own base) in Gangtok till date. Lovely ambience, great vibe and tastiest food in town. I found heaven in their peri peri chicken pizza. Go through their wonderful food creations to discover your own guilty pleasure. Lovely view, great service complements the amazing food.

The Local Cafe is one of my favorite place in Gangtok. And you could notice female staff manages the counter and male staff prepares the food. That's a rare thing to see and I really appreciate it. I tried variety of dishes here. Their potato wedges were really crispy and tasty. I tried laphing, sandwiches and pizza. All were delicious. All in all you must visit this cafe to enjoy their delicious food.

I ordered a chicken laphing and a red velvet cupcake. The laphing was well-seasoned, albeit slightly saltier than I expected. The cupcake was definitely above average, if not the best I've had. The place is small with seating for about 8-12 people. I originally went in for the cheesecake but it wasn't available.

Best Cappuccino in Gangtok, amazing Gorkha Pizza local delicacy 'laphing'. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.

I always try to look for the Local food so I happened to order Himalayan breakfast and Tibetan Bread Chicken Sandwich. So Tibetan was good juicy with tender chicken stuffed in local bread. Himalayan breakfast was nicely done potato’s with local bread. It was Tibetan aloo puri. Gud to taste. Tea as expected was salty, creamy and refreshing. Lastly red velvet cup cake which was sugary. On the whole good experience

Loved the place, the best Laphing I had had in ages. My favorite would have to be the ginger lemon honey tea after getting soaked in the rain. It was perfect followed by the Gorkha pizza and the amazing hospitality of the staff.

It's the best cafe in Gangtok, for me. It not only serves delicious food but also has excellent staff services. The Tibetan dish, Laphing is served in this cafe and it is really tasty, believe me it is the tastiest laphing you'll get in Gangtok. So if you're planning to visit this place, do try out the laphing. The only drawback of this place is it is unspacious and you need to wait for your turn to eat if the seats aren't empty.

Amazing strong coffee, delicious Tibetan tea (both very generous portions) and great cheese cake. Nice atmosphere. Great prices.

Just off MG Marg this cafe recommended by a friend was really cute. Very less sitting arrangement so we decided to sit on a stool outside. With people passing by and a chilli weather and the sun on and off the experience was fabulous.
The service is great. The food is fabulous and location can't get better.
Recommended cafe to visit when in Gangtok.. Cheers ✌️

Do i even need ti write a review for such an amazimg place? My picture below speaks everything. If you wanna have the best laphing in the town then you gotta visit this place. Price is also reasonable as the food they serve is of rare quality that you might only find here and no where else. My favourite place to chill out.

Ambience - 4/5
Service - 3.75/5
Staff Behaviour - 3/5
Food and Drinks - 5/5
Value for money - 3.75/5

Overall - 3.75/5

A teeny tiny place on the market road, this place is the highest rated of all the places in Gangtok and you understand why as soon as you take the first bite.

The place has only 3 tables, seating a maximum of 12 *slim* people. The walls and the furnitures are beautifully curated and there is a huge pastry selection in a display case. The kitchen is an open kitchen which is somehow present there as well. The place felt like a very well made lego set.

The servers are absolutely nonchalant and it shows in their service as well. Service is fast only because everything is there itself. I couldn't find much positives with the servers of the place.

But let's come to the main reason this place is the highest rated. Anyone that was coming in was ordering a plate of Laphing. What is Laphing you ask? It is just a plate of spice lover's paradise. So much so that I had to order one more bowl as soon as I finished the first one. Their pizzas look delectable and their drinks are pretty awesome as well.

The place might be a little on the expensive side, but the food is genuinely worth it.

My advice would be, come take away your food, and enjoy it anywhere you like in the beautiful city.

Recommended for food.
The specials are excellent and the Tsampa Shake is great. Try the chinese style pasta and the lettuce and mango salad. Excellent service and highly hygienic.

A very pleasant and cool cafe. Friendly staff. Service oriented. Delicious food. I could taste their delectable laphing, spicy gorkha chicken pizza(wasn't spicy at all for my taste but was good with added seasoning) and refreshing ginger lemon honey tea. If I return to Gangtok I will make it a point to come back here. Keep up the good work.

Found this cute little place while walking around MG Road Market. I love the cosy ambience of this place, and the food that I'd ordered was also delicious. I bought a slice of lemon cake and some soaps made by local rural women. I love how this place supports local industries as well. I just couldn't find the vegetarian soups I saw on the menu. However, the cakes I've had here are delicious!

P.S: I highly recommend the carrot cake, lemon cake, and the orange soap.

The local Cafe has great desserts. They smell fresh and they taste quite good and I hope this place gains more reputation. They can probably improve on the portions though.

My sister and I love this little place tucked away in New Market, MG Marg. They have the warmest staff, lovely coffee and cakes, especially the cheesecake. Another item that sells out really really quickly here is the la phing which is a local delicacy, this one might be more of an acquired taste but we simply love it.

The best coffee shop and patisserie in gangtok. Must tries include the oreo cupcake, the brownie, the cream custard doughnuts and dutch truffle cake. The coffee is excellent too. Definitely worth a visit.

We tried honey lemon tea, cappacino and latte and cupcake. Everything was very good and tasty. It might seem a little heavy in pocket but the taste of their products is truely local and authentic and will satisfy your taste buds. Must try.

Love the ambience, food and the people. We ordered fungi pizza and vanilla cake. It's worth your money. The service is great! Cake was soft and spongy 4/5

Excellent location right on the Mall road. Newly opened Cafe. Food is excellent. Pasta, Pizza, and authentic Tibetan sandwich are the speciality. Coffee is very good. Staff is polite and prompt.
