Becoz this is pure veg restaurant at famous mg road, so this the good option for veg tourists. Becoz at mg road you can find authentic chinese, bengali, nepali food which is for non veg lovers.

We used to visit in weekends 9 years back during our colleges days and now we have visited again to cherish our memories and got the same taste through butter tandoori roti and mushroom masala. The quantity and quality is too good and want to recommend for other also. And their matar pulao is too good.

I had the pleasure of dining at Parivaar Restaurant during my recent vacation, and I must say, the experience was truly amazing. We had our dinner there for four consecutive days, and each time, the food exceeded our expectations. What impressed me the most was the hardworking owner, who personally took care of every customer. Despite the crowded atmosphere, it was evident that the restaurant's popularity stemmed from its outstanding food. As the best pure vegetarian restaurant in Gangtok, I highly recommend everyone to visit Parivaar at least once during their time in the city. It's a fantastic family restaurant that will undoubtedly leave you satisfied and wanting to return for more.

Best vegetarian family restaurant on M.G Marg Road, Gangtok, just below the HDFC Bank, card payment accepted here. North Indian, South Indian foods, Chinese, Indian Thali, Soup, Sweet, Snacks, Icecream, Tea Coffee available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 10am-10pm open. I had Mini Veg Thali @ 190₹ for dinner. Plain Rice 1/4th, Dal Fry, Matar-Paneer, Mix Veg Curry, 4 Butter Roti, Salad, Papad, Pickle. Next night I had Special Veg Thali @ 290₹ for dinner. Veg Pulao 1/4th, 1 Butter Nun, 2 Butter Roti, Dal Makhni, Paneer Butter Masala, Mix Veg Curry, Salad, Papad, Raita, Pickle. Taste is good, and atmosphere is clean bright and cozy. However thali quantity is fixed, extra items chargeable at full. Rice quantity is very less and no sweets in Thali. Price includes all taxes and restaurant has washroom and gents and ladies toilet.

If you are a tourist and a vegetarian too...then Parivar Restaurant is a great place to have a delicious and tasty vegetarian food... Situated on the streets of M.G. MARG that is perfect place to sit down and relax... Pricing is bit on an upper scale but is worth to which the food they offer... Washroom is maintained properly.. ....Bit crowded (as on M.G. MARG) .... Service is somewhat slower...and you have wait for a while to be seated...All in all a good place for vegetarian in GANGTOK...

Had an amazing food. It's like " doobte to tinke ka Sahara." Sikkim is a place of mainly non vegetarian people and people like us who are completely vegetarian find it difficult to have food in a place who serve both veg and non veg. Pariwar restaurant came in rescue for us as it's completely vegetarian restaurant and serves amazing food including all types north Indian, South Indian and indo Chinese.

A pure vegetarian restaurant with multiple food options like lunch dinner and snacks. The restaurant is a few steps inside the m g marg market. There are multiple options. Food is readily served. Food is fresh, cheese naan is specially good. Paw bhaji was awful. Paneer preparations and pinneapple raita was yum. Must visit place if you are a vegetarian. The washroom is also clean.

We went to this restaurant based on local reference. The place is a pure vegetarian restaurant. We ordered tuhar dal, kadhai paneer and tawa roti. The food quality was not good. Kadhai paneer was stale and fermented. It was sour in taste. We raised the issue to the staff but they said that this is how the dish should taste like. The chappatis were burnt and over cooked. We somehow managed to have our meal with dal which was okay. The staff wasn't courteous and cooperative. Overall, the experience wasn't good.

Coming from Kolkata, we were looking for a place to have lunch. Upon recommendation, we decided to check this place out.

Location: It is located on MG Marg, Vishal Gaon, in Gangtok. It is quite easy to spot. Rating: 4.5/5

Ambience: The ambience isn't anything noteworthy. The place is clean and can accommodate around 40-50 people at one go. Rating: 3.5/5

Staff: The staff is well-behaved and the service was prompt. Rating: 4/5

Food: We tasted the following:-

1. Mattar Paneer (INR 180): This was quite spicy and thick. The quality of paneer was good and the quantity was sufficient for two people. Rating: 4/5

2. Dal Makhani (INR 150): This was not up to the mark. The Dal was watery. However, the spices were mild and decent. The quantity again was sufficient for two people. Rating: 3/5

3. Tandoori Roti (INR 25): We had 8 rotis. The rotis were freshly made and tasted good. Rating: 4.5/5

Overall, we spent INR 530 for our lunch. We would like to recommend this restaurant for those people who are fond of vegetarian food with a touch of the North Indian cuisine.

#starwordsindia #foodblogging #vegfood #gangtok
