Review Bibliotheque - Gangtok

Small and cozy cafe with a light menu. It's got shelves of books for all you bookworms that you can borrow after submitting your id. Make sure to try their ramen, piripiri chicken and pancakes. Best if you want to catch up with friends or if you are wanting to spend some time with your fav book and coffee.

The best cafe in Gangtok to chill with a view with some amazing coffee and if you love books too...this is the place to be.

The ambience of this cafe is simply wonderful. Entry is through a narrow staircase, from where it's hard to imagine how good the place is. Once you enter, you will immediately fall in love with this place. You can see most of the city from its windows. Borrow a book, order your favourite drink and relax. The food is really tasty and reasonably priced. This place is great choice whether you want to be alone or spend time with a group of friends.

Only had the set menu available when I came (Sat Mar 17th) but you can tweek it to get what you like. The appetizer is the same but from drinks to dessert you have different options. Food was good and the service was very nice. Highly recommend the place ☺.

A nice, calm place made in the middle of all the choas. It's a great place to go and relax with a book in one of ur hand and coffee in another. I particularly liked the ramen.

Having heard a lot of this place, finally managed to visit it one evening ! It is a cozy little book cafe, with a wide range of books to choose from and a pretty decor. One can visit this place to enjoy a cup of coffee, and read a book in peace, if they wish too :)
However, the menu isn't very exhaustive and there are very limited options to choose from. We ordered the Veg Ramen and waffle. The Ramen tasted extremely average, more like boiled soupy maggi, and the waffle wasn't great either. Would prefer to only go here for the ambience !

This place is easily one of the cutest cafes in Gangtok. This small cafe situated on a small road is a bit difficult to find but the street vendors situated downstairs were very helpful and pointed me to the hidden stairs behind another vendor.

The ambience of the place is amazing. It’s done very nicely, they have many books available to read while you sip on your drink. They place nice music to keep you company. They also let you borrow books for free as long as you return it in 2-3 days.

I tried the mint green tea (golden tips teabag) which was really good. Also had the veg ramen as it was one of the only veg options on the menu. Honestly it tasted decent but was probably just Maggi noodles cooked with carrots beans and shiitake mushrooms with a half fried egg on top. It was very filling. They do have many more non veg options though.

Overall it was an extremely cute cafe with a good view on one side....great music and atmosphere. But the food is just ok. If you want to spend some time with friends in a relaxing environment then this is the place to go! They also serve alcohol I think.
