The hotel has the best view. We were 13 people to dine in at the hotel . We choose the vegetarian menu but the hotel serves both non-veg and veg . We went at 2:30 pm but it was a bit rushed at that time. It took us at least 20 min to take a seat on the table. We ordered and took more than 30 min for the food to get served. The taste was good not so delicious not so bad. I can rate the taste of food 3 out of 5 . The staff was good but due to the hurry they forgot to serve us cutlery. The place is good with the view of mountains and the makes it special. Note : I would recommend you people to carry your own water as they serve jeera water or pink water I don't know why but if you are planning to go carry some water with you .

This is a decent restaurant for people who are travelling to/from Ooty. Their nonveg food tastes good If ur a vegetarian veg thali is really a good buy for you.

We have stopped at this place on the way to Gudalur from Ooty for lunch and it was a great experience. The biryani, mutton curry were very tasty. They have also cooked for our 1.5 year old baby. The most touching part was they specially cooked a chicken curry, properly cooked with no spices specially for the baby, on their own. The mocktails are also good. And the location is really great. It suits the name - Grand View. A must visit place.

Food quality is good and value for money. Services can be improved as waiters don’t really care much about you after you gave order to them. It takes a bit of time for running orders. View from the hotel is great and others shops are also there.

Only good place on the route and this place serves really delicious food, both North and South Indian. Tried Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Handi with Roti and Ghee Rice and loved almost all of it. Ghee Rice definitely had flavor and mild aroma and tasted awesome with Paneer gravy. Gobi Manchurian was good with Decent balance on use of sauces and nicely fried Gobhi.

This is an first and only big restaurant towards Gudalur from Ooty, hence its crowded and supplies and service gets obviously delayed. Once you further drive to Gudalur town for another 10 min, there are many restaurants available. Its a typical Kerala style running restaurant. We had very late lunch around 4 PM, still the food was adequate quality though the price is little higher. Toilets are maintained clean and enough parking is available.

This restaurant is right at the main road. Quite a busy one though. Car parking is available but be ready to park at inclines. Food: 5 stars for the food. Really good food served. Chicken biryani and Chilli paneer was awesome. Service: 4 stars. They are good but slightly slow. Staff: 5 stars, they are helpful and listen to customizations to the menu. Overall 4.5 stars for the restaurant and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who is passing through the Madhumalai route.
