Good Food at downtown kitchen & Bar known for Fine Dining - North Indian, Fast Food, Continental, Italian, Desserts, Beverages. Safety is the first concern of the team & the proper sanitization taken place before they served our dinner . We ordered roasted tomato soup , Fresh green salad & ajwaini paneer tikka for starter.Than we moved ahead with main course ordering dal makhani, egg curry , vegetable Manchurian gravy with hakka noodles adding on with subz diwani handi. The taste was scrumptious.Each & every dish has it’s own USP.The assortment of all the masala’s was so perfect. I would highly recommend dinner or lunch whatever you want to enjoy with your loved ones & I gurantee you won’t regret.

Thanks for ruing my valentine dinner. Except the guy named Ravi, nobody seems to be working inside. 3-4 person were only attending around 30 tables, and most of the part was remain unattended. After 2hr and requesting 3 to 4 times, was finally given the table napkin. No body was clearing the tables and we were forced to keep it by self by keeping the plates on the ground just to get the attention. Brought the main course but it took 15 min to bring the breads, by that time the food was cold. Requested for ice cream and after reminding for 2 times finally got after waiting for 20 min. Unlimited beverages were included in the buffet but couldn't had it because there was nobody to attend and take the order. Complain to various level and manager but service remained the same, nobody bothered to attend, seems like shortage of staff was the reason. Seems to be you guys are just prepared to serve small crowds and your valentine buffet dinner was a big flop.

Visited this place for the festival called PIND DA SWAD I must say places is decorated in full colorful swing and has all around the feel of punjab culture and feel Started with the starters called palak tikki, paneer tikka with mint chutney Winters are there so palak is all round the place Tikki was crispy and crunchy to enjoy over Variety of papad to munch in between snacks time. Various live counters of chaat, and stuffed paranthas along with sweets counter so all time favourite jalebi and rabri. Mains had my all time fav kadhi and rice and seasonal special makki roti da sarson da saag. Though chinese counter was thre but winter speciality is my all time to go. Drinks sparkling kiwi fresh and fresh kala jaam Sweet tooth so ended up having malpua and pind ke ladoo Overall amazing experience and hospitality is on the top. 5:5

Had been here multiple times, but my visit last night was a rather unfortunate and irritating experience. Ordered 2 pastas, taste was not upto mark, too oily and one of them was bland and the other one had too much salt( not the first time i ordered); Told the staff the same, few minutes later he supervisor by the name of Mr Mohan came in and tried to forcefully reason that its as per the standards. We asked for a replacement in the form of a risotto and another dish that we'll order later if the risotto was good enough, but it was again denied under the pretext that we'll have to order in a single go, left after the paying the bill and having less than half of the food. Pathetic Hospitality for a reputed chain. Its the Customer whose the judge of food not the staff, please convey the same to staff of this hotel and as long as i am paying for 2 dishes, i can order whatever and whenever i want. To add to that, the staff didn't provide a feedback form(which they generally do), when asked for the answer was "they dont have them right now". Pure Arrogance and brashness on display by the staff. If the staff of the hotel cannot understand that, then that hotel is failing at the basic concept of Hospitality. Not recommended to anyone whose bringing a guest to that place, you never know when things can go south for you.

Went for dinner with my colleagues. The staff was courteous(Thankyou Gurpreet) and the ambience was good and those are the only positives I can think of. The food taste was not up to the mark, not much variety even in desserts, the Fruit Punch I ordered was a mixture of Real Mixed Fruit Juice and some other juice not a fresh one, the coffee was straight from the usual office coffee machine, and the tables were placed so close to each other that there was a lot of noise from both the neighbouring tables. Veg starters only 1 item was available - ‘Crispy Gobhi’. Pizza was cold, Chicken biryani was bland. Rasmalai saved the day for me personally. Overall not a great experience.

In place of an extra starter this place has Pizza which you will like if you like cheese. For all vegetarians, there was no Paneer in the starters though!

We tried their dinner buffet and it was excellent in parts.. though there were some aspects that they can do better.. The selection of food was well thought of, they tried including most popular cuisines. liked the ghar ka khana bit especially! The Italian and the Indian were great, though the Veg part was not as appealing. Starters were also good. I thought they could have done a lot more on the dessert. The dal halwa didnt taste good, and the panjeeri was not even close to the real thing. The cakes were ok. I'd like to add here that the Service was excellent. We were a large group and they attended to us really well.

Probably the worst 5star dinner buffet i have ever been too! I don't want to be rude but i can't even express how bad my experience was. You pay literally 2000bucks per person and then you see starters are neither hot nor tasty. Food was too cold to consume. Hardly 3-4 varieties in starters that too tasteless. You can witness worst chicken wings of your life here. Once you get to the counter to have your main course or appetizers you see an empty container which is not filled on time at all for god knows what reason. They were literally taking 30-45min to fill up food containers. You could literally see 8 panner pieces main course lying there. It was more of a 1star feel rather than 5. Desserts were good. There were lot of varieties in this segment. And the ambience was also decent. Ratings -: Ambience - 8/10 Starters - 2/10 Main course - 6/10 Desserts - 9/10 Music - 9/10 Cleanliness - 8/10

Breakfast buffet review -- Downtown kitchen and bar in courtyard , first off all the name of the restaurant is similar to a famous microbrewery in sector 29 , do not confuse with the name . The place is decent , ambience is good , however compared to other restaurants in 5 star properties , it's smaller , toned down in terms of decor . The overall spread Is also pretty less when you compare with any other similar property. The breakfast buffet had an north India counter with options if poori sabzi , poha , kachori and south Indian counter with dosa and idli. Taste was good but not great . There was also option. Of salads and veggies . They also have fresh juice counter with the option of vegetable juice , which is refreshing. They also serve you chai in typical desi style in small glasses , always good have that option , instead of the dip teas . The lunch buffet once again was decent with all basic option of buffet but sorry to say the taste I'd average and options limited . The lunch buffet did not have a single live counter , no pasta , no grill . It can be said that downtown has a good mini buffet option acrosd all meals . Though Sweet options were good also taste of Indian sweets . Overall all it's decent place , with good service . But if you are looking for a lavish breakfast/lunch/dinner , you far better options than this place , considering the buffet charges are similar to Westin , Leela and others.

I was so impressed with the guy who was serving on my table. Man I wish I could remember his name. I asked him also. He was short height and he had specs. He was amazing. He was getting me everything I was asking for. While taking the buffet walk where I was seeing what all is there. He was there to help me understand whenever I had a question about any dish. I am so so thankful for the hospitality. I go to a lot of 5 star properties. And the only reason I am inclined towards them is cause of their hospitality. I can cut people slack if the ambience is not good or something’s wrong with the meal or anything. But I can’t stand bad service. This industry is all about hospitality and it’s a behaviour which has to be right, if not. It’s not acceptable. I am so so so much impressed with their hospitality. We even got a song played on my friends request. Their singer kimi, I believe that’s her name. She is amazing. You can have an amazing time sitting there with live music. Although you should know she doesn’t come on Tuesday’s . Pick any other day if you plan to listen to her voice, which by far the best live music I have been to. I loved the food, ambience, service everything so much that I will soon be visiting again and this time I will record a vlog for my youtube channel. All thanks to that one guy who served our table and that girl who took our song request and proceed further. Actually my friend have stayed here in the hotel for one month. i hosted my daughter's first birthday party here on 8th June 2019. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. not only in serving food they went a mile ahead to even help the balloon guy with decoration. Staff offered great suggestions to make the occasion memorable. Coming to the food it was great in taste. The chef even prepared french fries for children (even though fries were not part of buffet). Downtown is our fav place for all our special days such as birthdays to my parents anniversary. Though we have been regular with our visits, this review is about my fav visit on my birthday. The place gives you amazing valet parking along with the warm welcome. We always opt for a buffet as the varieties downtown offer is huge. Always love their preparations and the food portions. Marriott is a chain of luxury hotels in India. I visited the downtown on my birthday with my family for dinner. I reserved a table in advance with the buffet option as it included indian, continental, italian and Asian cuisines. I was received warmly by the attendant and taken to our table. Though it was a buffet, they gave us a option to order starters on the table. It was great, starters were steaming hot and delicious. I also ordered non veg pizza was their Speciality and I loved it. The crust was thin and toppings were enticing. In the main course, I found that the served food was bit cold. They replaced it soon after but it was a task to ask for every dish again. Desserts were the highlight of the evening, I just loved the puddings and custard. Ice cream options were also good. Overall it was a memorable evening.

Went for their lunch buffet on a Saturday. The restaurant is located right upon entering the Marriott hotel. The welcome is pretty neat, both of the hotel and the restaurant, to the standard expected from a 5 star. The spread was somewhat non uniform in range. There weren't an abundance of starters but the stuff being served were pretty premium. From the Salmon salad to prawns, fish and pepperoni pizza, everything tasted delicious. Also available was a live Indian Chaat counter and pasta on demand. The main course was the one really diverse and abundant in choice. I tried nearly all of their non-veg menu and had no complaints whatsoever. The lamb especially was well made. The dessert spread way better than an icing on the cake. From Indian sweets to a wide range of Western desserts, we were spoilt for choice. I had a white chocolate dessert in a wine glass (not sure what it was called), but has to be one of the best sweet dishes that I've ever had. Putting a photo for reference, if anyone has a clue as to what it is called, kindly comment. Lastly, the service given to us was exceptional. Up and beyond the standard of a fine dining restaurant. Even when the place turned crowded at the lunch hour, we had no problem getting a hold of our server. Would surely come again and try the dinner spread this time.

Decided to head here for Sunday brunch yesterday. This was the 5th time I went there. Earlier the food used to be awesome, yesterday, also I thought that it would be the same as earlier. We right away took soup which was good. After that, I couldn't find anything good to eat. If the menu was changed from the normal one to some shitty European thing, the staff should have told beforehand. There was Kashmiri cuisine, but no description below it, also the staff was too unhelpful to even tell what it was, after even seeing me struggling with food. The most annoying thing...DESSERTS (which consisted of half baked cakes with persistent egg-smell)...Try and find the desserts corner...well it's not inside the restaurant, and the staff won't tell you about that too. The staff gave me a feeling of having lunch at a roadside dhaba where no-one cares for your food, except you. Get a better staff which have basic courtesy and a chef who feels the food while cooking. This was my last visit to this Courtyard by Marriott. You people should learn from K3, another Marriott hotel in Aerocity.

It took 15 mins to serve single naan at dinner time. Visited on 6th Dec. There was no floor manager to take the feedback . Quite strange. Ordered pizza and waited for 10 mins to get condiments requested as they didnt come proactively. Wish opted for a resturant rather than choosing Downtown resturant in the hotel . Total waste of money and don't expect this from such great brand.

Visited for the first time today (Saturday, 24th Nov) around 2 pm for lunch buffet. Very disappointed. Opportunities for improvement - Service: 1. When asked for water, don't just plonk a water bottle in front of the guest. Please serve and pour it in a glass 2. Table no 14 is wonky and wobbly and is very difficult to eat on 3. Once the main course is over for the guests, kindly have your attendents to be on the lookout. No one cleared our main plates and we had to manage our deserts on a table full of plates. No one was attentive enough 4. Many of the dishes were getting over but no one was keeping a look out. It was up to me and the other guests to remind and point it out to the staff for refill I think these are some basic service standards one would come to expect at a fine dining place because one is paying a premium for the service and hospitality. Food: 1. Surprised that the buffet spread didn't have a single lamb / mutton dish 2. There was no prawn dish either. I have had mutton/lamb along with prawns at your competitors within the same price range 3. All your fish is basa - this is unacceptable at a restaurant of your standard. Basa is the fish that is served at our local takeaway and other small joints but to serve basa in a Marriot is just shameful 4. Pan seared tenderloin was getting burnt and completely dried out of the rosemary jus because of the overheated vessel in which it was kept. When informed they just poured more rosemary jus instead of replacing the whole dish. So we ended up with some charred pieces of tenderloin with a very bittery and watery jus! 5. Desert was very ordinary. Not bad as such but did not wow me The good: 1. Chicken kolhapuri was outstanding and the only saving grace 2. Some of the salads was decent I actually wanted to try out the Sunday brunch at your place so thought of trying out the lunch buffet today. After today's experience I don't think I will come back for the brunch Final question - is this "Courtyard by Marriot" really run by the Marriot group or is it a like a franchise model? If it is run by the Marriot management then I would be very surprised (hoping its not!). If it is owned by private group (hoping it is) using the Marriot brand, then they are giving your brand a really bad name!

I went to Marriott on my friends birthday eve , beautiful ambience , friendly staff and fantastic arrangements. Lack a bit in service as sometimes plates were not given and other time the cutlery was missing Coming to food I like bruschetta a lot , cheese broccoli was very simple and healthy , coming to pizza I was dissatisfied as the base was very tight and toppings were not apt ! It was a good experience though.For fine diners its a fine place.

Quite a mixed bag, located in the middle of they lobby the have not missed out on anything in terms of the ambience and decor. Place is big and spacious with ample tables. But to cater to the large place you need servers who are on the toes and not just going through the motions. I decided to have my dinner at courtyard, Well for first nobody even bothered to ask us even for a glass of water or serve menu or ask if we want buffet or Ala carte. Changed tables to sit in the middle in order to grab servers attention, still no response. Finally had to cry my lungs out as a server came and took our order. Menu had a little variety for both Indian food. Papad were served as accompaniment but plates were not given. We munched on the papads and After waiting for an eternity food came, chicken lehsooni tikka was good in taste. It was well marinated and was soft. Lal Maas in main course was a huge huge disappointment as the meat was not at all tender. Paneer kulcha was wonderfully done but Naan was hard. Did not like the main course at all and to cap it painstakingly slow service added to the woes. Was considering another veg item as lal Maas was a very small portion but the server said it will take 30 minutes to prepare the dish as we have lot of rush. Desserts had rasmalai which was nice. The team needs to be quick and assertive and also should improve quality of the food.

Having heart of the huge spread, we tried out Courtyard during dinner. I must admit it was a huge let down. The starters were good with the chef personalizing a few dishes for us; loved the prawn pizza, burnt chilli fish and butter prawn. But the main course and desserts were falling short in taste and variety. The European and Chinese sections were remaining untouched even by the huge European crowd which too had gathered for dinner. When foreigners come to India they love trying out Indian dishes. The freshly prepared mutton Biryani was fabulous though. The mutton dish too was tasty but a bit too spicy. Having a love for things sweet, we did feel depressed by the desserts which were too few in number and nothing out of the ordinary.

The breakfast here is good but used to be better when they had chicken Dimsums instead of chicken bao as they were much better nd tastier. The Ambience is good and the crowd is decent too. The cold cut meats are amazing. I basically took a room for staycation so the in room service was fine too.

I went for a family dinner at Courtyard Marriott and had a great time. We indulged in their dinnee buffet and the food was tasty however i found that the placement of veg and non veg dishes was not very sorted. But inlike other places the desserts were very tasty. Truly loved their nizam ki nazakat named sweet dish which was made with rabri and gulab jamun and was baked well.

Courtyard Marriott has been a renowned name for a long time now and I believe it totally deserves to be amongst the top hotels in India. I recently attended a business conference at Courtyard Marriott, Gurgaon and it was one of the best experiences. The hotel of course is great, the ambiance is terrific and the staff is courteous and friendly. The food was delicious. We had the option of the buffet but I must say that there was no compromise in the food quality or quantity. A thumbs up!

Went here today with family. The ambience is decent. The spread was ok, nothing expansive nor stingy. They had Chinese, Italian, India, Continental options for appetizers, main course as well as salads. The customary 2 soups were present too. Dessert bar was average too. I couldn't understand what they were trying to do with the Omali Pudding, but creme brulee was good and so was baked yogurt. Service staff was a fixed bag. Some of them were super nice and attentive while some were average at best. The duty mgr for the restaurant couldn't be more casual. Trouble is there wasn't one thing which was special or unique, which would make me crave this place.

We visited this place on 25th morning for breakfast buffet. I must say the experience was awful. Everything was handled quite well bu Aqsa Rehman till when it came to booking the tables. She was polite & very helpful. Food was good & the spread was quite lavish. Things turnes worse when it came to billing. They literally billed us for 17 people instead of 16. Headcount was shared the moment we entered the resturant. Manager kaushal was incompetent to handle the situation as he first didn't have time. And could hardly help when he was called thrice or fourth time. Special mention Rahul who was kaushal's associate qho handled the billing part was one goon who turned the entire experience to a worst one. We literally had to call back everyone & get counted again. I must say not expected from such a big name. You should keep your details in place.

The review is based on buffet dinner which I had there. Ambience: The place is located in the lobby area of courtyard Marriott. The place is beautifully done with lots of comfortable seating all around. The Staff is courteous, warm and very helpful. Food: The Buffet is quite expansive with lots of cuisines and options to try. Having said that what let me down was the specific taste of things which I feel is more geared for the Non-Indian clientele. There were few stand out items which are very good like the Hummus, Chat counter (The staff made a delectable plate of dhai puri for us), the assortment of Biryani’s (Veg, Chicken and Mutton) with perfect salan’s to accompany it. There is a live counter for Pizza which makes fresh pizza’s (vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian) the staff made a delicious veggie pizza for us. There are options of salads, cold cuts and cheeses (only 2 to 3 types of cheeses available) as well which were fine but nothing outstanding. One of the major let down was that the starters both Veg and Non Veg were cold. In Main course we had option of Indian, Chinese and Continental food. Here the stand out was the Murgh Makhani and the fresh bread basket which the staff got for us. Although I am a great fan of Chinese and continental food (prefer to eat it more than indian) but here none of the dishes looked appetizing. In a buffet you eat more with your eyes. There were a lot of options of deserts ( different types of cakes , pastries, baked yoghurt, rasgulla, mousse), as well but what I liked the most was the simple vanilla ice cream with topping of flaked almonds. The other deserts were ok but nothing looked out of the world or simply sinful to indulge in. All in all the place is decent with lots of options. I expected more from a Marriott property and maybe that’s why I was a disappointed.

This place is for all buffet lovers. I went for a dinner buffet and came back really happy. It got hell lot of varieties and the food was tasty. Ambience was nice. This most important thing I need to highlight is their staff. Very courteous and smiling staff very greetful. One should visit this place.

I went here for the South Indian food festival or #AharaVindu. It was excellent as befits this place. We started off with some starters such as the papad, salads and bacon. After this for the main food there was an Andhra dry chicken item called Mireppa Kodi which was excellent. There was a vegetarian item with pumpkins as the staple. This was light and went well with the other items. There was also a prawn gravy item cooked in coconut oil. The prawns appeared real fresh. In addition to South Indian there was also a fish item cooked in an international flavour with basil and garlic sauce. And there was the Rajasthani Laal Maas. The mutton pieces were succulent. For dessert, there was the south style payasam. I also went with the mud cake. All this we had with gulps of the finest Bira white beer.

This is the place for all your buffet cravings. They literally have the best buffet I have ever had in Delhi NCR region. The staff is so courtesy can’t even tell you. The chefs are so amazing that they make sure you have the best dining experience. The only sad part about this place was that considering the fact that they need to prepare good amount of food because they need to cater to quite a number of people and they can’t reserve because of standards and whatever reasons. The sad part is that everyday a huge quantity of food is left and all of that is thrown away. There are a alot of underprivileged people around, the food can be easily distributed among them. But all of this food is wasted. I would sincerely request their team to look into this and give off the food to who really want it rather than giving it off. I had very high expectations from Marriott. But I was very depressed to see the quality of food, variety and ambience. The food was not of any standards and was cold. Air Conditioning wasn’t working and despite several requests it wasn’t fixed and kept getting same reply from all employees. We were a group of 30 people and had joined for very important function. But we all were left sweating, thirsty and with bad mouth full of food. I won’t recommend this restaurant. There are many small restaurants better than this one.

Went with family, on my last day in Delhi(23/6), considering it to be a decent place with the Zomato Gold benefit. The carbonara pasta I ordered, came with no meat. It was just a plain white sauce pasta. After pointing out the problem, and 10 minutes of discussion with the (condescending) staff, they finally added some bacon to the dish. The pasta was however *INEDIBLE*, despite my best efforts to consume it. My brother had ordered a fish, which too turned out to be stale. The attitude of the staff was pretty lousy until the matter was escalated. After all that, they still had the gall to not provide us with the 1+1 on food. The bill was changed however and we ended up paying for just 1 of the 4 dishes. Lastly, do not visit this place for a quiet evening. The acoustics were really very loud.

Quite a mixed bag. Ambience: mostly great, except for the music!! As with most places that have "live" entertainment, the singing was obtrusive and woefully off key. Most of the performers give it their best shot, but in this case, it was a complete don't-care-at-all attitude. When we complained, the server's response was "if you listen for some time, you might like it!!!" Decor: all good! Nothing that was amiss. Pleasantly decorated and well lit. Food: the soup was good (roasted tomato basil) but the continental main course (penne with red sauce and veggies) was average. There was an aaloo gobhi adrakhi which was amazing (had with rice)!! The rice with Thai curry was abysmal. Mocktails were quite good. Service: OK, but sometimes it felt as if everyone was just going through the motions. We wish they would've asked the performer to pipe down rather than expecting us to "get used" to the singing. Thus, as stated at the beginning, quite a mixed bag.

I recently was in Gurugram and wanted to have a nice lavish lunch so I dropped by at Downtown Kitchen & Bar at Courtyard By Marriott Gurugram Downtown. The venue was well-lit with a lot of natural light from the windows plus the lights at the buffet counter. There was a well laid out spread in the buffet divided in sections like starters, live pizza and pastas, Indian buffet etc. I was delighted to see pizzas and I immediately picked up a slice each of Grilled Vegetable Pizza and pepperoni pizza. Both the pizzas tasted well but they were not as warm as expected. My next pick was Fish Nuggets, Aloo Makai ki Tikki and Shanghai Style Cauliflower which were all well made. I ordered a Fusilli Arabiatta Chicken Pasta and to my surprise I got Penne Arabiatta without any chicken or veggies. Wasn’t as per my expectations! From the Thai and Chinese section, I tried Thai style Cottage Cheese, Diced Chicken in Soya Ginger Wine sauce, Thai Herbal Steam Rice and Thai Style Mix vegetable. I loved the rice which were flavourful as well as Diced Chicken in Soya Ginger Wine sauce which tasted amazing Coming to the desserts which were a pure delight, I tried Mango pastry which was a delicacy in the summer month and had a natural mango taste. I loved Rasmalai as well which was absolutely fresh with a perfect soft texture. Not to forget were the crispy waffles which were freshly made. We tried the Nutella as well as the Honey variant and both of them were divine! Also in the wide assortment were Hot Chocolate Mud Pudding, fruits, halwa, ice-cream and Crème Brulee etc.

This place was on the bookmarks for a long time and i got a chance to visit hyped restaurant for a buffet lunch! AMBIENCE was good, pleasing, eased out and well laid. Though the seating could be made more comfortable but still it was bearable and not worth making an issue of. 4/5 Back to the business- FOOD! We opted for the buffet lunch and there were very very limited starters for the vegetarians. Paneer tikka was the only bearable thing that could be tasted for once. For the mains- The restaurant didn't had any of the signature north indian dish like Dal Makhni, Shahi Paneer or something like that. Instead, they had dal fry, paneer bhurji, ladyfingers, and all other dishes like that, which you do not expect on a lavish buffet lunch. Pizza was average, not anything special worth mentioning for. Pasta was a great choice though! I had Spaghetti in Red Sauce topped with freshly grated Parmesan! It was the only good thing to eat there. Desserts had a great variety but again, eggless options could have been vasted. Ice Creams were good and customisable. Food Rating- 2.5/5 SERVICE was however on top! Greeted me with an awesome welcome drink... Various kinds of fresh veg & non-veg salad section.. Indian & continental starters were displayed nicely.. Amazing display of Chef's specialities in Main course.... Both veg & non-vegetarian dishes... Desserts section stole my heart... A live jalebi rabri counter... A live white chocolate fountain, can be enjoyed with fresh fruit pieces & cakes... Uncountable varieties of best varieties of Indian & Continental desserts, full of colours, flavors, pretty looks, yummy tastes, all are pieces of art... Loved the ambiance.. Loved the Marriott experience.. Loved the service & the cordial behavior of the staffs... My best moments with Marriott. Terrible, bland and spicy food. Chinese dish made from cauliflower was spicy and had no other flavour. None of the other dishes were good. Better go to a authentic Chinese restaurant for tasty yet light food. I don't recommend this place at all.

Lovely place, delicious food, awesome ambience...we visited for veg lunch buffet on our anniversary and it was great. The staff was courteous and they do every bit to make your experience memorable.They have a very wide menu. We liked the awadhi live station in starters and desserts were yum. Also, the veg lasagne was the best I've ever had. Overall, it was excellent.

Bit of an underwhelming dining experience considering how good the general Zomato reviews were. We went for an a la carte lunch, which was our first mistake. Should've stuck to the buffet like others suggested. We started off with a chilli con queso which was poor. I've been to countless Marriotts around the world and can't recall having this bad a dish. Threw me off the rest of the meal. The 'cheese' tasted extremely processed, akin to bad fast food chains, and the chili tasted like it was prepped a week ago. The fish and chips was much better although not nearly as good as expected. Although the portion of the fish was limited, it was cooked for the right time. The fries (not chips, but fries 😑) were incredibly salty and inedible. The ghost biriyani was quite good actually. Loved the flavor of the rice and the texture of the meat. The service was also very good, as was the ambience. In fact, except for the food, this restaurant scores well on all metrics.

Whenever I talk about Awadhi food, first two things come to my mind, galaouti and Nihari and Kulcha, a lighter and little different version from delhi one. Yesterday night I was at Downtown, Courtyard Marriott, one of my favourite place in Gurgaon. They are hosting awadh food festival. I was so happy to see that they didn’t serve mutton biryani, because if you are from that region then you should know that we call it pulao, be it with vegetable or mutton. Mutton pulao was perfect , just like you eat in Lucknow. I must add here that you must try their flavoured dal, a plain dal with rose itr( home made perfume), something which you will never get to eat any where. Festival is on till 22nd of this month and can’t be missed.

Downtown is a place which provides you extreme amount of variety and tastes in food. From delicious lunch to yummilicious dessert, everything served here is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Would definitely recommend to all!

Went for Buffet Breakfast on a week day. While the preparations were good, i wish they had more variety in terms of international cuisine. Poori bhaji, upma, pakoras, parathas, milk and cereals, juices, curd, croissants, pastry puffs are very regular and passe. The cold cut variety wasn't great either. I had black chana which tasted very well. Aptly spiced. The tomato upma wasn't worth a mention. The veg fried rice and mixed vegetables were okayish. Two thins i enjoyed were the freshly baked banana cake(or more like bread due to less sugar... which was good... had quite an amount of bran as well) and the freshly made jalebis. Small, thin, crisp and perfectly sweet... neither too much sugar syrup, nor too less... So, its the desserts that take the cake :-). Would love to see a little more variety and visit again.

The worst breakfast I have ever had probably. The staff though courteous but was extremely slow. After 45 mins they brought me most abysmal food I have ever tasted. A dosa which was burnt and thick like a Paratha with tasteless sambhar. Orange juice that tasted like lime juice. Puri with Aloo sabzi which was for some odd reason sweet!! Have to say, I definitely did not expect the breakfast to be this bad.

Downtown literally gives you an experience of dining in a luxurious hotel with a Pleasant and Calm Ambience. I went here for Lunch Buffet. The staff is really polite and welcoming. They make you feel very comfortable and pay attention to your needs time to time. Their buffet has good options in Continental, Asian, Italian, North Indian, Salads and Desserts. I personally loved their Veg thin Crust Pizza, Dahi Kebabs, Potato Wedges, their salads which are different and tasty, Fresh Fruits and their Desserts. The brownie they serve is really good infact all the desserts are relishing. You can surely try this Buffet for a stomach filling experience.

I went there for lunch 2 weeks back. I have to say, it really feels like a 4 star experience! Staff is courteous and is very attentive to your requirements. Ambience was mind blowing! It was so soothing, perfect for a date. I opted for buffet. They had a huge spread for main course and desserts, however there were limited options for starters (which I personally prefer.) The table/plates are cleared promptly (with ur consent off course ;) ) the starters were limited but good , main course - variety was wide and sufficient and tasted great, but the desserts were a big let down after such a nice meal they were average at best :( . Amazing is the word for their food. The roasted chicken in snacks, the fish fingers and chilli chicken we're delicious. And the main course, the mutton and fish curry we're really nice. Also, to add on their deserts were none less. Especially the banana 🍰 and fruit tart. Just a little more attention can be paid to their cuttlery and napkins. The waiters while keeping fresh cuttlery on the table, didn't remove the existing ones. First, I saw a fine dining place which doesn't keep napkins on the table, but provide on request that too quite small ones. All in all had a good experience.

If you are a crazy food lover, do try their coffee shop. Amazing range of dishes in buffet - Indian, Chinese, continental, Italian. Visited with my friends and relished dishes paired with red Vine. Good hospitable staff, more promptness in service could have made it flawless. We spent lot of time in eating and gossiping, got a chance to interact with the chef. Seeing our interest in food he offered us delicious strawberry cake, the best I ever had. If you want to try food, do try.

I have visited this place thrice. Once for dinner and twice for the lunch. The dinner experience was fantastic as the selection of dishes in the buffet was tantalising. There was a lot of grilled stuff which I love the most. Coming to the dessert, Marriott offers the best selection of desserts in Town. A good place to visit for a dinner with Closed Ones.

We went to downtown to celebrate by wife's birthday, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and have been offered a seat. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful and the place was neat and tidy as well. We opted for lunch buffet which consisted of Indian, Mexican,italian and Chinese cuisine. The food was fresh, hot and delicious but the most important thing I like was their service which was fast and accurate. I really would like to thank their server who gave us the best service and took care of our table. Everyone should visit this restaurant,its highly recommended.

Well situated in the heart of the city is this marriott. Very well accessible from all directions in gurgaon. Nice ambience, staff is courteous but if I talk about the food I think they need to improve the quality not in terms of taste but the quality of product they are using. I was there for a training by my employer and had the lunch buffet. And within hours I can feel the heat of what I had in the afternoon. For that whole day I was restless and couldn't eat anything else. My stomach was upset for the rest of the day and had to take certain medicines to get relieved. Till next day I can feel the impact of food as I had nothing in my dinner as well. What I had there was just some salad, one starter and then rice and dal with one or two desserts. It was a pathetic day of my life. Rating 2 is just for the hospitality and nothing else.

I visited Downtown with my wife over a month ago to have their Independence day buffet. The buffet spread was quite spectacular. The notable dishes that I really liked were:- 1. Salad and cheese spread 2. Choley Bhature live counter - the choley were so authentic, just like the small joints selling them. 3. The shepherd's pie was nice. 4. The paneer dish was nice. 5. Melanzane alla parmegiana 6. Thai green curry My only complaint is that the biryani's. All 3 of them were below average as if they were put together in a haste. Nothing about those Biryani's was biryani like. Neither the taste or the aroma.

Visited this restaurant with my family today afternoon. Being a Saturday, didn't expect such a lazy service. Our soft drinks came through after half hour and prompting 2 times. Variety of food could have been better. Salt was either missing or less in quite a few dishes - perhaps keeping in mind the visitors from other countries. Overall, average experience.

As a buffet breakfast in a star hotel this is an average experience. Considering the price tag, I'd say it is below average. I liked the fact that the staff including the (head?) chef went around meeting the guests and inquiring about their requirements. Therefore, as far as service goes, I think it does provide you with a decent experience. Yet, nothing to write home about as on my table of two, one glass already had a bit of used water in it and I had to show it to get it replaced. However, the food could not be salvaged by the service. For a breakfast, the menu is exhaustive, including even dimsums, noodles and rice based dishes. Cold cuts, fruits, juices south Indian (idli, upma, dosa) and north Indian (parantha, pakoda, poori) breakfast dishes are available. The best among the vast spread was the low fat milk, the muffins and the banana cake. Three sets of jellies were available with the toast and they were good. And their ends the story. Doughnut was more in the range of short bread. Croissant was brittle. Pancake and waffles weren't golden brown, nor were they fluffy and airy. Omelette and scrambled egg were dry. Chicken sausage was hardly edible. Bread, poori, idli, were all below average. Cold cuts, bacon and fruits were nothing more than usual. For someone who leaves no buffet item untouched, I failed at keeping up the record this time. The quality and taste of much of what I had fell too far below what one could expect from a Marriott. It seems, this restaurant would be frequented by their business guests and not by the foodies.

Just lovely, you will see this place packed during lunch and dinner. A great restaurant inside a great hotel centrally located in gurgaon. Currently, they were running the rajasthani food festival in end june which was just amazing. A must visit for sea food and most of the food served to the guests at the hotel is similar to home food so that the business travelers which hotel mostly caters to, dont miss it.

Went for their recently concluded Rajasthani food festival and absolutely loved it. The spread was really wide with a variety of Rajasthani dishes. Just to make things a little more authentic they flew in a chef from Rajasthan to cook and overlook the entire menu which is commendable. So of all the dishes laid out, I tried about 80% of the veg dishes. The starters included Raj kachori, which was good, dahi kebab was unfortunately a let down. Main course included gatte, ker sangri sabzi, papad paneer, aloo pyaaz sabzi, mangodi pulav and an assortment of breads. They also had the staple 'Dal baati churma'. Being a half Rajasthani myself and having tasted all these dishes a lot of times before, I felt that the some of the dishes lacked the authentic flavor ( they however tasted good nonetheless). Also, as the staff told us that they have a rotating daily menu, so that day they weren't serving bedmi- aloo, pyaaz kachori, kalmi vada, jalebi, imarti, balu shahi etc which I really missed. I was really looking forward to having these. Desserts included ghewar and an array of pastries and puddings. Loved them all. Sevice is great. Relaxed ambience. Must visit!

The restaurant had a great Rajasthani feel to it from the decor with Rajasthani dolls and pots to the servers being dressed in a traditional Rajasthani attire. With international guests being there I think this was a great way for the hotel to introduce them with traditional Indian regional food I tried a ton of Dishes, for starters I had Dahi ke Kebab, Raj Kachori and Dal Baati churma. My favourite obviously was Dal baati churma, which had three types of Baati (Masala, Bhapka and Mawaa) served with Atta, Sooji and Gulab churma!!! For mains, I had Gatta Kadhi, Kee sangri, Aloo Pyaaz ki sabzi, Papad Paneer, Tari vala chicken and Laal Maas served with assorted breads ( my pick garlic naan!)! Imagine how delicious was that I had it all!!! Delicious, amazing quality and made fresh! What more could I have asked for. Desserts are the favourite part of my meal and I had some amazing Ghewar, baked yogurt (must try) and blueberry pie!!!😍 All in all great service! I would love to come back!

Went for a dinner and attended their Rajasthani Food Festival which is till 31st of July. Rajasthani food consumption for the first time got me like why I never had it before. The spread was pretty huge but it also missed few elements on the night I was there as they have a changing menu daily. During my presence they had dal batti Churma, dahi ke kebabs, raj kachori (a must try) with kaddu ka shorba. For the mains they had chicken tariwala, lal maas (a must try), gatta Curry, paapad Paneer, fried okra and a mix of bajra roti makke ki roti and other breads. The dessert counter was huge and filled up with yummy items like ghevar, blueberry pie, barfi, chocolate lollipops, baked yoghurt(a must try) and many more... It was a good change in cuisine for me. Must go for it! You'd definitely love this.

This place has come back in a much improved avatar. Went here few weeks ago for Sunday brunch. Food was refreshingly different. They had chaat, aloo bhaji, some interesting new salads, dry spicy nuts, main course of usual Indian, continental and asian along with a nice dessert bar. Service has always been good with Courtyard. Ambience was good too. The restaurant has completely been changed and is looking so much better and nicer now. Live singer for sunday brunch was good although we thought she could tone down her volume a bit. Will go again for lunch or dinner. You can book though nearby and take advantage of their offers.

Not sure why this restaurant is rated at 4.0. Went there for dinner buffet just now and it wasn't at all a pleasant experience to say. First of all, where there was chili chicken recipe tag given was mixed vegetable, so mistakenly my family are that and being a vegetarian that was it felt very bad. Secondly options in food were not very great. Didn't like the dum aloo, dal, rice, bhelpoori . Breads were cold and not crisp. Overall not convinced Lastly, pricey as per the taste and quality of food. In short not recommended if looking for good Indian food. Only thing good was ambience .

Went there last sunday morning with family for breakfast buffet. Spread was great as expected from 5 star hotel. Beautiful ambience and delicious food. Only thing which restrains me from giving perfect 5 is pathetic service. May be we were not in room guests so not given proper attention but otherwise food was awesome. Croissants were best i ever had however masala omelette was not spicy enough. Noodles and dimsums were out of this world. South indian food was above average. Vermicelli with sambhar and dosa was great. Options of beverages were abundant with shakes, juices, lemonades cold coffee. Delicious mix parathas and poori subzi stole the show. Overall a very nice experience in 600 pax buffet breakfast.

We headed for a sumptuous meal @ #downtownkitchenandbar with a lavish spread of buffet with ample choice of Indian, Chinese and Italian. Becomes difficult to choose what to have with so many delicious dishes. I am fond of the Italian and Indian so enjoyed both cuisine equally. Liked the baked vegetables..Paprika roasted potatoes.. Pan Seared Polenta Steak and in Indian khade Masale ka Gosht with Varki Parantha was mind blowing and a must have..so is Tandoori Chicken with Varki Parantha. Mutton n Chicken Biryani are served with mirchi ka salan..tomato salan.. Boondi Raita and mixed veg raita to choose from. Dessert spread is amazing with mix of Indian and Conti and difficult to resist any. Breakfast after a good night sleep was interesting too and have not seen such large buffet spread with North Indian, south Indian, Italian with fresh juices and cereals..pizzas and choices of breads. Never had such mind blowing Woffle with fresh cream..nuts maple cyrup..not to miss really.

Went for the Valentine's dinner with wifey. Took the deal for buffet and a bottle of wine. I guess this was at the time renovated recently. The decor and ambience is as you expect for a Marriott. The spread was vast. The service was slow, but it was a busy nights. The deserts were specially done in a Valentine's theme and were very good. No complaints. Might visit again.

We went there for a stay and had dinner at Downtown. Food was quite good and the service was impeccable. We ordered Buffalo minute steak, Grilled chicken burger, lamb and barley broth and a lamb rack. Flavours were just perfect and everything was nicely seasoned and served at the right temperature. Drinks were quite good. The Bellini was made to perfection and LIIT was served with right amount of ice ;) Must visit!!

We were given proper space for the lovely dinner but never had to ask for the server, since he was always around. Food We had an a-la-carte dinner and buffet breakfast here. We had Tawa ka Gosht, Nalli ki Nihari, Carbonara, Onion Kulcha, Garlic Naan for dinner. Nallis - perfectly cooked, in a creamy gravy - oh so awesome. Paired with the onion kulcha and garlic naan, we loved it to the core. Nice buffet spread serving American, Indian, Italian and oriental cuisines. I am not a big fan of oriental breakfast but everything else was just perfect. Beverages Beautifully done cocktails customised as per my taste.

Downtown Kitchen and Bar is offering a home style menu featuring recipes culled from traditional homes. There is a refreshing choice of Indian food but served not in the typical way but with home cooking touch. Personally loved the tawa masala pomfret. Their range of breads is nice. The Nalli Nihari was authentic and rich. In desserts zauk e shahi is worth trying. They have a nice lunch buffet with chakhna, home made achaars and great starters besides a vast spread.

Courtyard by Marriott has redone its cafe shop and they now call it Downtown kitchen and bar. They also serve homestyle cooked meals for business travelers. The pickles and chutneys were the litmus test and they passed. I also enjoyed the kathal kebab and their dal makhani apart from pomfret and other stuff.

From the Grill section had some PRAWN, FISH, MUTTON CHAP, PINE APPLE, STUFFED ALOO, perfectly done with mild spices. From the Italian spread , STIR FRIED SEA FOOD, MORROCAN LAMB STEW, CHICKEN WITH GINGER & LEMON GRASS SAUCE, EGG PLANT PARMEGIANO, CHILLY & PARSLEY GIANT GARLIC BABY POTATO. Thoroughly enjoyed each and every delicacy. I went on my special occasion to this place. On the suggestion I tried buffet. First the staff is not very friendly and trained. The stare u and prompt like allies. The food started with a broccoli cream soup which was bad in taste. Service was really bad. Chefs were more friendly and cordial than waiters. Food was quite average. Desserts were ok. One advice to the hotel staff..please work on staff and on food. Each time we finish our food..we had to ask staff to remove plates and pour water. Do get your food tasted before you present before customer. I won't prefer food again until they make great food.

I actually decided to give it try after buying a deal worth Rs. 1049 and truely speaking its not even worth half of this price. One of the worst buffet i have ever had in Gurgaon. The 1 star goes to ambiance and live music and another star for staff. Rest the food taste is not at all good they had varieties in desert but taste was not at all good. Would never ever recommend rhis place.
