Review Cilantro - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Anubha Bangia
Food Taste and Hygiene Level: The Food served was hot, fresh with accurate spicy levels(as specified by me). I ordered Dabeli, which was served with sweet tamarind sauce and french fries and in sweet dish I ordered Apple Pie, which had caramelized apples within a baked pie and served with ice cream. The hygiene level greatly met the expectations. Food Platting: Greatly Met the expectations. Staff: Polite and Helpful. Knowledgeable about every dish. Cleanliness Level: Full of freshness and very well kept and organised. Seating Arrangement: It has both Indoor and Outdoor seating. Affordability: Medium to High pricing. Kids and Elders Friendliness: You can ask the Chef for dishes Customization for kids and Elders. Wheelchair accessibility: There are 3 wheelchairs available, it can be taken to entire premises excluding swimming.

Good quality ingredients and fresh food. Unlike other buffets, there isn’t so much variety but the quantity is good. The ambience and the aesthetics of the place are a 10/10. Suitable for dates and family dinners alike. It’s accessible by wheelchair and there are equal options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Cilantro is one of the restaurants of Trident Gurgaon. It has a nice food spread, nice breakfast buffet with multitude of options. They have host of fruits like green apple, kiwi etc. millets too like ragi idli, ragi pancake etc. the bakery items are quite nice like cupcakes, muffins etc. Sunday breakfast is more lavish being a weekend. Cute cookies for kids. Chinese section was good too. Nice hospitality and Chef Suman is wonderful. He even agreed to give a tour to our kid in the kitchen. And served some nice ragi options.
Biraj Thakur
The food and the ambience was just too good. There was a surprising contrast in the restaurant ambience and the hotel entrance .
Shivam Tripathi
Food is good not exceptional, but their services are exceptional and location is also too good.
Prateek S
Amazing place for a meal with your special someone. Pizza is a must try, baked in front of you, and tastes as authentic like eating pizza in Italy. Service is also top-notch.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels in the region and this all day dining is part of this lovely property. We had an excellent Sunday Brunch experience lately with a bunch of friends. The overall set up is nice, with a good variety of salads, antu pasti, soups, freshly baked pizzas and an al fresco setup of live grills and tandoor. Not to forget the Yakitori grill. Service is great and you can order anything on your table. The variety in the mains section can be increased but most of the times the starters fill you up already and the mains usually take a backseat. A relaxing atmosphere over some good food and drinks can rejuvenate you for the next week, so i think Sunday Brunches are a great way to chill and recharge yourselves.
Mini Rag
Great little lunch buffet. A mix of Indian and western food. Pizzas and pastas on demand. Roti's and special dishes served at the table. Lot of vegetarian choices, flavors are not as spicy. The staff is attentive, and thoughtful in their service. You'll find the ambience to be smart and high end.
Devansh
"The food was fresh and delicious". "The chefs use the best quality ingredients". "The restaurant has a wonderful drink menu". "The staff is really friendly". "The ambiance is superb"

Excellent hospitality and good morning vibes , nicely organised buffet breakfast, staff was quick to offer customisation , wide variety in buffet but taste wise expected better for most items. Good thing is great service
karan bhatia
For breakfast the options were too many but taste wise it definitely needs huge improvement, service was sometimes for customisation really disappointing otherwise service is super good,The good thing is chefs did the customisation as per the needs and taste and dietary requirements For dinner european was the best here Pan Asian was below my expectation For dinner pizza and pasta were our best items,

Good spread for breakfast brunch on day of Holi. From thinnest Bhaturas to finest eggs, from nutritious milk shakes to pan cakes. However Pao Bhaji nd paranthas could have been better. The hotel was fully packed and even had non staying guests, with so many people turning up at same time, even front staff had to come for the rescue and were seen serving. Guests arriving an hour late were served gracefully without any inhibitions. Wish some of the guests could have been more civic and patient enough. Special mention for The Gentleman preparing Bhaturas is a hero. I ate too much for the first time not just because of the food but was overwhelmed with the service.

The ambience was great and the food was delicious. Went for the lunch buffet and enjoyed it to the fullest. Good option for a heavy lunch. Diet concious people please avoid as you might not feel it to be value for money. Rest the view offered by Trident are great.

If looking for a fine dine experience.. this is the place. Very quiet and elegant place. Food was good, we did ala carte not sure if they serve buffet here .. probably not as its a small place inside + order your items much in advance .. so you dont have to keep waiting for dishes to come as it take around 10-15 min for meals to come after you order.

Entrance to the restaurant will take u in era of lords and kings with water cascades and mashalls on the walls,,, Food is awesome, specially Indian cuisine,, And Chola bhatura is mind blowing with lightest bhatura I ve ever had!!! Quite serene place in middle of a metrocity..

Exemplary service by the whole staff! Definitely recommend

We selected Cilantro, after reading some good reviews, for our Anniversary Lunch! The over all experience was great. The restaurant is part of the 7 acres Trident property, with abundance open space, more to that having an opportunity to sit in the SUN in Winters was a delight! The spread was decent including Italian, Pan-Asian, Continental & Indian. Kids enjoyed the Italian, specifically wood crust Pizza's the most!
Above all the service was great, specifically Ayush & Gagan ensured that we had a very personalized experience. Kudos to both!
Great over-all experience- keep it up!
Pragya
Had breakfast here for 3 days.Nice place with reasonably good choices. However as compared to other 5 star hotels have very limited choices.North Indian breakfast items need a lot of improvement in quality.Very good service.

I needed something special for my someone special and Cilantro made it very easy for me. They set up the date with perfect location with moon visible in its full glory and soothing sound of water. The food was of great quality with special mention to Shorba that they served(was out of universe:p).

They made arrangements for a nice little cake cutting and even helped in keeping my surprise intact.

Thanks for the great experience.
Priya
A nice cheesy, fluffy omelette with a side of hash brown and breads toasted is all you need to satiate your morning breakfast cravings! Also, the burrata is a must try!

Supper was incredible and features for me were flame broiled chicken with red wine, espresso creme brûlée, Bhuna apparition, and a green apple shot. The servings of mixed greens were astonishing I truly like calamari and shrimp plate of mixed greens. By and large experience was great. The sustenance here is alright, while they have an incredible refreshment advertising. They analyze a ton with mixed drinks and are quick to give visitors another experience inevitably!

I was staying at Tridrent last weekend and hence visited this place for breakfast. The hotel itself was mesmirizing with its contemporary architecture full of domes but lets review this particular restaurant.

If I have to describe ambience of this restaurant in one word, it would be serene. One would obviously notice its space, light and height. Its decor is simple yet elegant. Entrance has two big torches at both sides with a massive dome above. Light is basking in from its large doors/windows with a view of lush green garden outside. Furniture and cutlery could have been better but its nothing less than other 5 star hotels.

Since it was buffet breakfast, I was assuming the same menu as any other nice 5 star hotel but they had few more things to offer and definitely quality was much better for most of the delicacies I tried. Being a sweet tooth, I always try muffins/cakes and other bakery items. I liked its almond banana cake and gluten free cake. Another thing which I found different here was they had put live counter menu on each table. That's definitely a plus point here since you don't need to ask chefs about live counter menu and many people stick to familiar options like omelette, dosa, pancakes etc. as they are hesitant to ask for other options. I ordered masala omelette and french toast from live counter and both were delicious. Omelette had saffron color and was not at all oily and tasted spicy in a good way. The color and taste difference was due to use of organic eggs from their poultry as told by chef. French toast was really soft and somewhat spongy with right amount of sugar in it. It was served with Madagascar vanilla frozen yoghurt which I don't find extraordinary.

Speaking of service, staff was very friendly. Most of the things didn't took time to get served. I was observing they were quick in cleaning the tables and rearranging the cutlery again once the guests left. I ordered a normal tea which took time to get served and it tasted like milk powder and boiled water (just like tea which we make in hotel rooms). I told staff about it. They apologized for it and asked me how would I like tea to be prepared. I asked them to make it like regular tea boiled in pot with actual milk. The next tea served was awesome.

I am giving it 4.5 stars because of tea otherwise I wanted to give it 5 stars.

Ambience: 5
Food: 4.5
Service: 4.5

Decent food with limited menu. Tried breakfast & dinner during my stay at Trident. Chef Rakesh was polite & ready to experiment with the food. Whatever you wish similar he can cook for you. In breakfast choco walnut cake was my favourite.
Astounding accommodation and nourishment toh mouth melting. The servings of mixed greens were astonishing I truly like calamari and shrimp plate of mixed greens. The apitizers are restricted. Mains are great as are sweets. Generally speaking the nourishment is tasty. The staff was benevolent and very courteous. The Ambience is nice,it additionally had an open air sitting.Overall we had a decent encounter!

Loved. Service loved. Care loved. Freshness loved. Menu selection loved. One can’t eat enough of fresh good stuff and all neatly laid out. Definitely highlight of the restaurant.
Would come back again.

Celebrated my birthday at Trident, absolutely loved my experience here. The Spinach and Ricotta Pansotti was hands down one of the best ravioli's I've ever had. We also had Penne pasta in creamy mushroom sauce which was equally amazing. I honestly can't wait to dine here again.
Himanshu Aggarwal
Went there to celebrate a special day. Preferred the Buffet Lunch. Totally worth it I’d say. The service and food lives upto the mark. They are happy to make necessary changes to their preparations as per your taste. The ambience was soothing enough to spend good 3 hours and indulge in great conversations, and obviously great food.
Tara
Amazing Food!
Perfect for Lunch & Dinner Plans!
One thing I'd highly recommend is their Pizza!
Loved the service & Buffet Lunch!
Will visit for sure again soon!
Priyansha Agarwal
The staff is friendly but the food they serve isn't upto the mark. The food been served at Trident should be expected as very bland and not so delicious

Breakfasts during my stay here are a delight due to the wonderful staff - oh so refreshing! I know that the buffet breakfasts are not a true reflection of a restaurant, but nevertheless.

What I liked were the cold cuts, cheese and salmon. What I wished they had more were more North Indian fare. I did order the Aloo bhaji & Puri, but was not impressed. The chilla was good but the Indian breads in general, passable.
Raghav Anand
The food is good. I’m taking one star for the service. It took forever to give us the breadbasket, which was without butter. Then the butter and cutlery again took so much time. Ordered the ravioli and lamb burger. Food quality was good

It was our 8th anniversary and we were looking for a place with an mind blowing ambience and yummy food

We decided to go to cilantro, trident

We opted for dinner buffet and it was not that amazing as we expected.
Food was monotonous and spices were missing.
Overall experience was good as staff was very polite and helpfull.
Food = 6/10
Ambience = 10/10
Staff = 10/10
Crowd = 10/10
Must try = sweet dishes.

Had a great experience at Cilantro during our stay. Had both dinner and breakfast buffet. Dinner was great and highlights for me were grilled chicken with red wine, coffee creme brûlée, Bhuna ghost, and a green apple shot. Overall experience was great. Breakfast was not as good, they have not hot the south indian preparations right and i could not ignore that. But overall spread and hospitality force you to let go off. And day light ambience with high ceiling decor feels you with all the good vibes needed for the day😬
Chef Vikalp Mehrotra
Best and evergreen place for me. They made my day so special cant xpalin in wrds. Amazing hospitality and food toh mouth melting. Chef Ram and Chef Kalra big thanks for comp. Cake ... u ppl r amazing😘😘 love cilantro team..
kudos!!
Viraj Creations!
Well in such an ambience any food will taste good! The spread for a 5 star deluxe hotel was very limited but it tastes well. Staff is extremely courteous. Didn't quite like the omelette.
Ashish Jain
This does not feel like a luxury dining place with its very subdued theme.. the food however is surely a big hit here and the only reason people would love to be back. We tried some Italian dishes and loved them all. No complaints at all.

The staff is extremely courteous adding to the experience.

Food - 5/5
Staff - 5/5
Ambience - 3/5
Himani Duggal
I had my dinner and breakfast there during my stay at Trident. For dinner I tried their bbq, burger and pizza. Pizza was okayish but their burger is too too amazing. A must try.
For breakfast they have really good options in their buffet. I really liked their rose milkshake and blueberry yogurt.
Kunal
Good hospitality. Food is also nice. Very expensive as per the taste of food, but still great service and very generous staff. ✌🏻
Beautiful and pleasant space to relax with your dear ones.!

Love this place and the staff! World's best aloo parathas! They're so sweet and welcoming, constantly checking on us and making sure we are okay. Got us a surprise cake on our last day of check out. Thank you guys ☺️

The menu is simple from italian to Chinese and Indian.

The salads were amazing I really like calamari and shrimp salad. The apitizers are limited. Mains are good and so are desserts. Overall the food is tasty but I particularly dint like how food labels are far away from the food itself. It was difficult guessing what the bowl has.

We recently visited cilantro during the evening and wanted to have a a good snack. So we ordered a Primavera pizza. It was full of toppings and had generous amount of cheese. It was a Perfectly cooked thincrust pizza.Cheese was of supreme quality. We loved the pizza.

The staff was friendly and very courteous. The Ambience is nice,it also had an outdoor sitting.Overall we had a good experience!

Perfect ambience and setting. The only thing lacking is the food quality. We opted for the buffet dinner and the food was okay okay, nothing special.

Otherwise, staff is courteous and experience will be good.

I visited here for a team lunch. Must say the Ambience is beautiful and the food is yum as well. They have a lot of live stations so the food is really fresh and hot. Loved the Italian section. Also , they have some really awesome desserts. My favourite was lemon and chocolate lollypop.

Jump Start with Cold Starter Tuna Along With
Dash of Kiwi is a big hit. Not to miss there Shrimp Cocktail With Hummus with a Zest. They have One Live Counter in which there are different chef's preparing Chaat Papri , fruit chaat and dahi balla, Pasta's and spegghati. The other chef has a different section for Pizaa. There Is Asian section I preferred Spicy Prawn Noodle with Green onion. Not to miss they give that they do ask your choice and prepare the food according to your pesonal choices. Therefore I Asked From chef Peppronni Pizza as it waz not in there menu. I waz happy with my choice as it was good and thick Cheesy Crunch Enough. You may not to miss there Achari Chicken Tikka And Fish Tikka in between. After coming to the main course I had Zaffron Mutton Rice with Keema Kaleji And Saag Mutton With Maake Di Roti.
I would like to give my personal shout out to this Sikh Head chef over there for preparing this wonderful menu for today. It happened to have a good conversation with him where he explained about the food and restaurant. It waz a heart warming experience and would love to give Full Marks To Chef For Very Palatable Food.

Sweet Section Is Limited Mango Yogurt Is A Must Try
And Do Try Hot Crispy Jalebi With Rabri.

Comparatively Its Not Big Enough Space Wise And Number Of Food Items But ITS WORTH IT💯

Perfect place for a Sunday Brunch! They have a huge variety of food selection for the buffet menu. Usually live counters have very limited options but here it was great! One should certainly try the grill menu- prawns, chicken and lamb. Also, the staff is amazingly courteous and nice. Special thanks to the head chef who made our Sunday brunch awsome!
Vivek Agarwal
Staff were very courteous and ambience was also good. Although there were various food options available still there seemed something lacking. Food taste was OK ok.

I don’t know how in the world I missed going to this gem of a place-Trident in Gurgaon in the past few years that I have been staying in the city! Cilantro, just loved d food here...went for a buffet brunch/lunch there but it wasn’t like any other typical buffet where u have in-numerous options that ur tummy is full just seeing what all u can eat but I would name it as a ‘Boutique buffet’! Specialised dishes but near perfect preparations...we took the cocktail buffet and loved their cocktails aswell. Loved d mediterranean preparations n d Khao suey! Also dal makhni was to die for and one more tandoori pineapple-slurpppp... I can just go back there to have tandoori pineapple...a must have. Then d dessert..caramel dessert was to die for! Don’t expect plethora of dishes but what they had was more than enough for me to skip dinner also even though I only tasted a spoon maybe nod each dish!

Trident across its hotel properties in the country has always had some very good restaurants but what honestly sets Cilantro apart from the rest of not just the beautiful looking large restaurant with red tall chairs and the extremely beautiful dome but it wins hands down in terms of the service standards of all across the restaurant
Under the able leadership of the F&B Manager Nikhil Kher his entire staff has been told just one thing that the customer must be taken care of and they take special pride in understanding your food palette and making then as per the chef
It’s known for the Italian food and every element in the course starting with the salad, the Zappa, the pasta or pizza and the drinks is truly amazing
Special mention for those with the sweet tooth that some of their special deserts not just have that awesome taste but amazing in terms of presentation and styling and the chocolate lovers will have treat!
Not just the Italian food but being a cafe that serves the breakfast lunch and dinner buffet it’s equally a good option to try and the staff that has a sweet RamPratapSingh or an extremely efficient Bharti need special mention
One of the largest breakfast spreads in Gurgaon and one can get not just the chole and paratha but good steam Idli’s, pancakes, an awesome banana slice and more!
While you’re staying in the hotel it’s like home and truly they make it seem to be, making it the you want and pampering your taste buds!
For those who don’t stay in the hotel too, the buffets are great and the Sunday brunch a must do with friends/ family!

This was my first time at Cilantro. Food preparations at the breakfast buffet were amazing, tasted extremely good and not to mention- excellent service. I would recommend it to everyone

I will come to food later.. What stands out is the quality of staff, i have been to many such hotels buffets and probably they have the most hospitable staff.

Next is the commitment to quality of ingredients, the salad bar and seafood just brilliant.

What slightly disappointed me were the cold starters and the indian main course..
Jonny
This was a disappointment !!! Firstly the presentation, the spread wasnt as great and then again, the dishes werent marked or presented in seperate sections as veg or Non Veg. So it was v irriating to ask again and again as to what is what. Also taste wise, it was disappointing. All my hopes of good food were dashed to the ground. The only saving grace was the Pizza we ordered. Well made and tasteful ! That was the only thing I could fill my stomach with. I hoped for good desserts then ! That too wasnt as great rather below avg ! So the food didnt do anything for me .

A perfect start of the Monday evening.

Good food
Great ambiance
Awesome staff

Everything was reflecting (Oberoi) standard of service .
This place Nd food have good positive vibes.
They know what hospitality is, visiting a restaurant is not only about food but the environment quality of people serving you, many things so I remained comfortable here
Taru Shikha
The first things that meets you is the warm hospitality of every one at the Hotel , second do try the Veg and prawn sushi at Cilantro - it is exceptional and I can say that because I travel to eat sushi , so much art , creativity and taste in the dish ! Absolutely wow !!!

I visited cilantro along with my team last week. The setup is pretty amazing. We had a dinner buffet.
The staff was the best part of the evening. They were there for even the minute things.
Salad bar was pretty tasty to start with.
We ordered pastas and pizzas along with it. Pizzas were really tasty but the pasta was undercooked.
Even the tandoori snacks were scrumptious.
Main course was okay.
Best part was he dessert. Would love to visit again ❤️

This restaurant has amazing ambiance giving Pre-Romanesque period vibe as soon as you enter the place. The food was nice and being an Italian restaurant, it did complete justice to the wood fired pizza's!
Hospitality was comforting. The food service was efficient.
This place is perfect for lunches and brunches.
Had an amazing time.
Sahil Seth
My experience wasn’t so pleasant when visited this restaurant yesterday evening, the only place i like about the hotel is the property and ambience... staff is slow and when told something don’t expect them to follow your request as i felt that being in a so called 5 star with hospitality not up to the mark. Ordered pizza and a white pasta and the taste was just ordinary nothing special, might visit again when the weather is nice and can come for a drink at the bar. They need to improve on there support staff to win over guests.
Mahima Batra
I love the vibe of this place, its so calm and natural. The staff is extremely courteous and assertive. The buffet was amazing from appetisers to main course. Assorted veggies with rice were out of the world. Desserts in the end sums up the entire meal perfectly. Would love to visit it again.
Preeti Malhotra
The service at Cilantro is very warm and efficient, very telling of any Oberoi hotel. The food over here is ok, while they have a great beverage offering. They experiment a lot with cocktails and are keen to give guests a new experience every time!

We visited Cilantro-Trident, Gurgaon for a fine Sunday brunch.
The spread was elaborate, ranging from European Grills to Biryanis.
We started off with a salad (Beetroot Arugula salad with Orange), the flavors were subtle and it was light on the stomach.
This was followed by a Spicy Salmon Sushi roll, assorted Tikka platter and Grilled Lamb Chops - to which I must add the Lamb Chops were a tad dry.
The star of the brunch was the Biryani(especially the Chettinad Prawn Biryani). Nothing could beat the good old Desi recipe.
But the clear winner of this whole affair was the Dessert selection. You name it, they got it. You'd want to save ample room in your stomach only to have the sweet treasures.
Anish Dewani
We want for farewell of our office colleague and the arrival experience into the restaurant was awesome. We were very positive on a wonderful experience but it did not live upto our expectations. They have good open area around and great landscaping outside the restaurant. We sat on the outside area and the cocktail served was delicious. The buffet inside the restaurant lacked in both variety and taste. In comparison to Leela's or other hotels around it was nothing but a very small buffet. They don't seem to have the space to put a good buffet. The taste of many dishes tried was nothing special. I would not recommend trying the same as there are many wonderful standalone restaurants and good restaurants in other hotels around.

We even tried their pizza's but it turned out to be a disappointment too.

The service was also lacking at times and to wait for breads for 10-15 minutes after getting the food from buffet and also in between.
Yogesh Manderna
I can give this place 4 to 4.5 but as this was underrated as per me I just did the damage control to add half a star more. Perfect with your loved one. Quality Food and very well mixture of foods.

Ambience: As this is at lobby level, it still not look a like cafe or 24 hrs hotel restaurant. it has both indoor and outdoor sitting added with their Japanese one. so you can see in my photos. Amazing roof.

Food: Although it look small but they curated each and every dish perfectly. I went for lunch and they have mix of Indian snacks and meat and sea food. I like their Asian Wok counter. additional they have all the Indian main course dish along with surprising chat counter. Indian breads, salad preparation , flavours and starters were amazing. Deserts were so mouth watering that you will go for all. Next time I will give more time to this section :))))

Service : on Saturday afternoon it is quite and less crowd . I feel more a la carte service level in buffet. staff is couterous and helpful in explaining the ingredients. very attentive, smart and joyful.

Tanvi Jaiswal
Amazing ambience..great staff...we went for the buffet at Cilantro..food was good but not great..being a vegitarian we had few options..standard salads..soup..2 starters...pizza pasta..maim course consisting of 3 vegetable curry..dal..white rice..and then deserts.

My favourites:-
1. Jackfruit curry
2. Their signature oatmeal cookie
3. Again signature mango yogurt - amazing desert tasted like ice cream

Went to this gorgeous outdoor restaurant on New Year's Eve, and it was quite an experience. Live music accompanied with the company of my loved ones, a lot of dancing and fun times.

Having said that, being a vegetarian, the overall experience when it came to the food was very average. There were just 2-3 options in the starters and everyday Indian food in the main course (4 choices). The dessert spread, on the other hand, was quite alright.

We even ordered a pasta and pizza off the buffet menu, which was quite disappointing again.

We then ordered for kebabs, and were served with tawa veg instead. Ordered again, and got 2 different kebabs - Dahi Kebab and Hara Bhara Kebab. The Hara Bhara kebab was quite good, and worth it. The Dahi kebab was too creamy and bland.

Wouldn't recommend it just for the food (especially if you're a vegetarian), but the overall vibe of the place makes it worth a visit!

Cilantro names tells everything about the restaurant. I have tried various dishes here and i loved and enjoyed them . Outdoor seating surrounded with those gas heaters gives you emmense pleasure. I really like the pizza. Thin crust bizza is the best pizza that make in front of you which is being made in wooden fire oven .i like the buffet presentation in cilantro. I love to come back again with my friends.excellent and prompt service, very nice and polite staff.personalised service we got. Value for money. Ambiance is so beautiful . Hygienic. over all very place to make your day delightful. 😊😊

#Cilantro @ the Trident

Tried out the Buffet lunch at the Trident.
Here's a long and short of it.

* Service is exceptional, definitely top notch.
* The options on the Spread can't be called 'Over the top' by conparable 5-Star standards - Salad bar, Soups, Indian starters, Indian main course, Live Wok, Live Choice of couple of Pizzas, and 3 additional options given (Fish, Chicken and Mushroom Risotto)
* Quality of the food : Superb
* Indian Food - simply outstanding. I think it's better than what most Indian standalones offer.
* Fresh pizza off the oven also left it's mark (and more).
* Business hotel, so it's not overcrowded.. Quite underrated acc to me overall, not enough people talking about it.

In a nut shell, the amount of food on offer might be slightly lesser than what other venues offer (like Spectra or Latest Recipe), but the quality of food backed by their service was outstanding.
To top it off, seamless booking & discount via the Eazydiner made it quite worth the value for me. Final bill: 2419 incl of Taxes.

Went there for buffet lunch to celebrate Wife's birthday with my LO and in laws. Spread was limited as compared to Leela or Oberoi in near vicinity but overall food was decent except pizza which was without any flavours. We ordered grilled fish for our LO AND it was cooked to perfection. He totally loved it.

Cilantro - Trident Hotel Gurgaon's main stay is my new favourite. The restaurant oozes grandeur - the dome, the chandeliers and the brass chimney for the wood fired over, its all visual delight.

The multi cuisine restaurant works round the clock opening for breakfast at 0630 hrs and takes the last order at 2345 hrs. The menu offer global cuisine, of course with fewer options in each segment.

The dinner buffet is not the usual kinds as it allows you to choose basis your mood. Cold buffet, Wine buffet, Indian buffet, Italian buffet - all of these offering you some fantastic dishes and sinful desserts.

The 'Make your own salad' option is fab and the chef will be happy to toss up the greens in your choice of dressing.

The highly skilled chefs at the liver counter are always happy to prepare pastas to your liking. You must absolutely try the handcrafted pizza baked in a special mango wood fired over.

The desserts promise to spoil you for choice. My favourites were the moong dal halwa and Berry mousse. The poached pear on the top layer of the mousse was a revelation. It's a popular French culinary practice where fruits are often poached and added to a dessert for both look and flavour.

The overall experience is fantastic with gorgeous artists performing live - look out for the lady who creates magic with the violin.

The service is impeccable and keeps the Oberoi flag flying high. Big shout to Chef Splendly (hope I got the name right) for his charming hospitality.

Always a pleasure to be at a Trident restaurant.

Thanks much.

I have enjoyed lunch and dinner buffets at Cilantro few times earlier but dinner buffet disappointed me this time. Surprisingly this time buffet didnt have main course included in it..So buffet only had soups..Some chaat..pasta..Pizza and desserts..No Indian starters nor main course was a part of it..So didn't really understand the concept of having buffet. However food quality and hospitality was good.
At the time of writing this review Zomato indicates that the restaurant does not serve alcohol due to Supreme Court Regulations. This information is wrong. All restaurants at The Trident, Gurgaon are serving alcohol.
We stayed at The Oberoi, Gurgaon over the weekend for a 'staycation' and decided to try out Cilantro at The Trident, Gurgaon for dinner on one of the nights.

After a short stroll from The Oberoi, Gurgaon to The Trident within the complex, we arrived at Cilantro and were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats. The restaurant wasn't very full and we received personalised attention.

After perusing the menu for a while, my partner decided to go with a Mojito while I went for a mocktail called Apple Sledger. Both beverages were of a high quality and enjoyable.

For main appetizer, my partner chose the Camembert Creme Brulee and I decided to go Asian with a Shrimp and chicken soup. The Creme Brulee was excellent and quite filling in itself, the quality of the dish was evident from how the crust cracked when tapped with a spoon. The Shrimp & Chicken Soup was of a very high quality and for a change in restaurants, I was actually able to taste the shrimp and the chicken and rarely reached out for my condiments, which is the sign of a great dish, perfectly flavored.

For main course, my partner chose the Australian Pork Belly with an exquisitely prepared glaze poured over it. He was of the opinion that the dish was excellent in all aspects and presented him with a melange of flavors. The glaze was almost silken in texture and complemented the pork belly very well.

I chose to go Asian and chose a very simple Kung Pao chicken with some egg fried rice. I must remark here that my request for chopsticks for some strange reason was met with surprise & a weird remark about "best eaten with fork and spoon", though of course I was offered a set immediately. I had to tell the waiter that certain food items taste different without the taste of metal.

The Kung Pao chicken was a far cry from the Punjabi version that even high quality restaurants in Delhi sometimes serve. The bell peppers and chilli were of the right quantity and I hardly sniffed once because of the spices. The flavours were excellent and the dish was very well complimented by the egg fried rice, which in itself was cooked perfectly.

Though we were full, the restaurant staff's persistence paid off and we decided to order ice creams. My partner ordered a Mango Ice Cream and I ordered for a Lychee Ice Cream. While my partner's order was served accurately, I was offered Coconut Ice Cream. The presentation of the dessert was excellent and the Coconut Ice Cream in itself was delicious and so I did not take up the mixed order with them.

The service is much more casual at Cilantro than at The Oberoi and the staff could follow-though better about instructions and messages. Though better than most hotels, the follow-up skills of the staff do need to improve. I had to ask for my glass of water to be refilled multiple times.

The quality of cuisine was excellent and offers excellent value for the price paid.

The ambiance and setting at the restaurant was quite elegant and the vaulted dome adds to the architecture of the venue. The music wasn't overbearing and played at the right tone, enjoyable, but not disturbing or attention drawing.

I'd definitely go back to Cilantro for a meal if the traffic situation from New Delhi to Gurgaon improves or if by any chance I find myself close to The Trident.

Visited this place for a special occasion. Had a nice time in a very pleasing ambience. The service was excellent and décor was nice. Food presentation was great, and so was the taste.
Ticker Eats The World
Exchange programs are nothing new. We’ve had student exchange initiatives in schools for decades now and in the corporate world many are sent to sister concerns to experience different aspects of the business, so it should not come as a surprise when the one industry where it makes the most sense to exchange information and techniques, utilizes this concept.

The Swiss Cuisine Showcase happening at Trident, Gurgaon has two celebrated chefs – Renda Fabrizzio and Pintonello Silvano – from the iconic Badrutt’s Palace hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland whipping up some Swiss delights. Switzerland holds a very important position in respect of food because due to its location, having multiple neighbouring countries, the cuisine has varied influences, which reflected clearly in the menu that was served at a special evening. Part “masterclass” but mostly a tasting, the food consisted of the expected classic Cheese fondue infused in wine with meats and veggies, but also Cilantro’s (Trident’s award winning restaurant) signature dishes in between the course to showcase their own recently changed menu.

Fine dining taken in casually, the evening at Cilantro was a delightful mixture of high spirited drinks, myriad flavours, interesting conversations, and above all a glimpse into authentic Swiss cuisine.

Some of the highlights from the evening are;

Spinach & Goma had quite an amazingly different texture that played with the taste-buds and as an amuse-bouche from the menu of Cilantro was the perfect start to the evening.

The Capuns consisted of chard covered fresh salami and spatzli dough along with Polenta with cheese fondue and truffles. I loved the slight crispiness of the chard which it retains after being cooked and while the salami was negligible, the polenta in a “solid” form with fondue up top and truffles made for a very quaint and simple starter.

Barley Soup with Chorizo had a lovely and unusual texture to it that I found very appealing. The chorizo is a lovely alternative to “croutons”, but there was hardly enough in the soup to make an impact. The spiciness of the chorizo could have taken away from the slight blandness of the soup, but alas that was not the case.

Cilantro produced a winner from its kitchen when the Seared Tuna on crispy rice cake with spicy ponzu aioli was served. Not counting my failed attempts trying to use chopsticks, once again, I loved this “inside-out” sushi. The aioli gave the kind of kick wasabi would have normally and the crispy rice the much loved crunch to each bite.

The Prawn Tampura was probably the odd one out of the evening. Served in martini glasses, the batter had a nice spicy tone to it, but the oiliness was a bit of a disappointment. Still, it worked well with the drinks on hand.

The main consisted of Chicken Pojarski – lovely little chicken cutlet that was so soft it was melting in the mouth -, Potato Rosti, natural jus – needed more of it to really appreciate the flavor -, with black truffles – exotic I know – and sautéed sliced pork engadina style with Taglierini – delicate and just beautiful to eat. What was so fascinating about the dish was how all the different elements across the plate complimented each other and there seemed to be perfect harmony between the ingredients which all had subtle yet distinct flavours.

A gorgeous Swiss Cheese Fondue followed that was accompanied by a number of meats and vegetables. The last time I had tasted “authentic” Swiss fondue, I found it to be too wine-y, and thus acidic in nature, but in this case, although wine is prominent, it doesn’t overpower the cheese and in doing so is perfect for “dipping”.

In the end, while most raved about the chocolate mousse served as dessert, I was bowled over by the Apple Strudel. The pastry could have been a tad crispier, but for someone who normally wouldn’t have touched this dessert, I ended up wanting more. As for that gorgeous Vanilla Sauce, I wish it came in a big container alongside or at least the folks at Cilantro could have switched off the lights for a minute to allow me to lick the plate off.

It’s always a pleasure trying and appreciating cuisines from different corners of the planet. The Swiss have long been famous for their cheese and chocolates (and wine too), but their cuisine is an amalgamation of many European techniques and ingredients and that is what makes it so special.

I love Cilantro - whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast is my favorite meal there, and I am not a breakfast eater. There's a great selection of fruits, cheeses, yoghurts, traditional and Indian foods and an chef who cooks fantastic omlettes, eggs Benedict, and dosas. The coffee is strong and hot and the espressos and lattes are divine. Lunches (packed or on site) are fresh and delicious. I'm not a fan of the sushi side of Cilantro, but the regular dining room is delicious. I've never had a bad meal here and the service is exceptional. Enjoy!

Since i was waiting for someone to arrive i decided to try few things here. I had a cold coffee and a club sandwitch, both of them tasted nice, ambience and service was great too. They even serve buffet which i would definitely try in future.

Buffet lunch on a weekend. Attentive service. Good ambience but quite stiff n formal to our taste. Food preparation was on the mark. Variety was extremely limited n left us disappointed for this price point since for even lesser price, Spectra in Leela spoils you like crazy!

The place is superb with Great Hospitality . To start with on a lazy afternoon it was only us in the restaurant in a nice peaceful setting and perfect for Romantic Date. We had Opted for Lunch Buffet which had loads of Varieties with Special Mention for Salads and desserts. To start with Salads ,Pizza and North Indian Fish and Chicken Tikkas were superb. Pasta was done Al-Dante but not to my Liking . In the main Course i liked everything except North Indian food .May it was because of Heavy stuffing of Starters and sweets ( Me Being Sweet tooth) i didn't feel like tasting many of the Things. I opted for Thai Green Curry with some Egg rice which was good. Overall a Good Experience and now Looking forward for the visit again with my Kids but for Sunday Brunch which i heard of a lot.

Cilantro is one of few restaurants in 5star hotels, which serves tasty food. People (including me) usually complain that taste of food at 5star hotels is not really good, despite they having very good variety, but Cilantro is different. I went there for a lunch buffet along with 12 more people and everyone liked the food.

Ambience is good, but not extravagant.

They have a good salad section and serve appetizer at table. I think they can do better at appetizer as we were served very limited appetizers. Attendants are very friendly and professional, they took good care of us by clearing the table in between, as we were progressing with our 2.5 hour long lunch and they served few things at table timely. Main course had wide variety and tasted good. They also offered pizza besides this. Desserts were ok, not exotic. I would definitely go there again and will recommend other people as well. Thanks Cilantro management team.

The best part of this whole experience was the royal ambience and the really great service.
I went here for a vegetarian lunch buffet on a weekday and the buffet has the following sections, in order:
1. Salads and cold cuts
2. Soup
3. Italian - pizza and pasta
4. Indian starters
5. Indian Main course
6. Desserts

Salads were the best part. I'm not much of a salads person but the salads here were not just fresh cut pieces of fruits and veggies, each small bowl is a very fine appetiser with the salad as it's base. The vegetable juices and the hummus also deserve a special mention.
Mushroom soup was delightful and an absolute must try.
After this my expectations were quite raised but the rest of the food did not live up to them.
Pizza was ok, pasta was undercooked and bland.
There were only two Indian starters though dahi kebabs were really good, there should have been at least a few more starters.
The main course spread was lavish but the food tastes very average. I think that dal makhani is a must foe any good mughlai spread and its absence was a disappointment. Rajma was okay, the veggies were barely average.
The dessert sections gives the illusion of grandeur but when you actually start eating it, there are only a few things which are enjoyable, that is the chocolate pudding and a dish whose name I don't member but was a white chocolate cookie which was pretty delicious. The rest of the desserts could have been skipped.
I generally don't review places but Trident Gurgaon deserves much more. Came here to have the Trident experience and can easily vouch for their service as being the best out there.
Food review:
All dishes deserve equal praise. The main course spread consisted of 20 dishes(excluding rice and curd) out of which 9 were vegetarian. The dal makhani was of exquisite taste.
The salad bar was also nothing short of impressive that had both hot and cold soup varieties in addition to 4 different types of sea food.
The desert section was equally impressive. All in all it was a wonderful experience.

Loved the ambience and the hospitality! The food was served with great gesture! They have a huge variety in main course. So it was a great experience!

I had gone here with my friends for my birthday lunch and this was my first visit to this Restraunt...
I loved the interiors of The hotel though I didn't particularly like the ambience of the Restraunt!
The buffet spread was slightly disappointing and didn't match upto one at a 5 star hotel! The variety they are serving is very limited and one has very few choices!
Whatever was served was more or less nice! I was expecting it to be far better as is expected out of any Oberoi Restraunt!
My meal was prebooked and I had spoken to the manger about the same just to ensure there are no problems when I actually go there! But at the end of our meal the servers came asking me for the vouchers and said they don't have any! It was really embarrassing and we were made to wait for 15 minutes just because they had not been informed!
I found this ridiculous...despite confirming and reconfirming this shouldn't have happened Infront of my friends!
One word that comes to my mind for this place is - waao. The ambience, their hospitality, the food .. Everything was what they say.. 5 star. Whatever your ask for is you will get.. Even if you don't see it on the buffet counter... Just tell them and they will arrange for you. Worth an experience...

The interiors of Cilantro are very bright with all the natural light coming in through their big glass walls. The food was pretty nice and the buffet spread was very huge. Even the mocktails were nice. What sets Cilantro class apart is their service which is just flawless. Highly recommended!!

Thats right....PAMPER YOURSELF... great hospitality..excellent service..awesome food n fusion desserts....I visited cilantro ..It was clocking midnight when we entered the beautiful restaurant ... smart crisply dressed staff..welcoming you with folded hands

We ordered the starter and were served within 15 minutes of placing the order that too without any delay. I was happy to say that The Non Veg Kebab Platter was prepared without any discomfort even when we didn't expect them to at thirty minutes past midhnight!

good portion size...

Must haves- Primavera Pizza and in Dessert Lemon tart and mango n cream icecream ...

The employees arranged for many off the menu dishes without any discomfort even at 1:30 am . We were bid a farewell not just with folded hands or a box of complimentary cookies but also with smiles and a very pampered feeling.

You only need one reason to go to Cilantro. That reason is their pizzas. They are undoubtedly the best in town. Wood-fired pizzas with heaps of variety.

Went for a lunch buffet at Cilantro and I'm kind of disheartened by the overall experience.
The impression it makes with the decor and ambiance is let down by the quality of food.

First thing, red sauce penne pasta. Though one of the better dishes, still unseasoned and not what I had expected from Cilantro after reading the reviews about the food.
Second, mushroom risotto. Extremely bland and the Tabasco on our table was its saving grace.
Third, primavera pizza. Best dish of the day. Enjoyed it and this showed us how much better the food could've been.
We took noodles and gnocchi from the buffet and while the noodles were alright, the gnocchi was the worst I've ever tasted.
Finally, the desserts had a great collection and I would commend the chocolate pudding for being great. Others such as Panna cotta and Creme caramel were average.

While the staff was mostly attentive, our table was cleared despite food in our plates while we went to visit the dessert bar as advised by our server.

My expectations from Cilantro were certainly let down and I hope they work on their quality of food as I simply expect better from a brand like this.

Also, what kind of a buffet has zero drink options?

Wow.. What a serene place in the busiest area of gurgaon..

If you want to go for a non romantic relaxed lunch- this is a good choice..

It was an amazing experience at Cilantro Trident Gurgaon. The food was up to the mark, it had no flaws at all. The ambience is so smoothing that you fall in love in the first sight. And what should I say about the service..that was w
ay above my expectation..I would like to mention one name in particular Nishant, he took so good care. Thank you for a lovEly experience.Ultimate bliss..

Wonderful food and service. Must try is the lemon butter fish and pork belly. Came here for my anniversary celebration. A little steep but worth he experience.

A big disappointment - undercooked food, unevenness in salt in each batch of starters.. that too loaded with salt.. felt like some amateur chefs cooked the dishes.. service time for drinks was very long and waiters had no idea who ordered what.. felt like a third-grade restaurant experience.. i am sure that roadside dhabas have better service and taste than food prepared at cilantro.. shame for a brand like trident

Went over the weekend for a stay. Went to Cilantro for Dinner. Was visiting for the first time and had high expectations.
Ambience: Wonderful, gave you a luxurious feel. The entrance itself was splendid. However, the table I chose kept toppling, was a bit frustrating but it was fixed after a request.
Staff: Extremely polite and helpful. No problems here.
Food: This was a disappointment !!! So the food didnt do anything for me !! and I would rate it a 3.

However, what impressed and delighted me was the Service and Customer Experience. The stay was a good and relaxing one. When I left the hotel and came home, I saw an email from the hotel regarding the feedback. Obviously disappointed with the dinner, I shared honest feedback on it ! And then I recieved a call from them. And to my delight, there was also a bouquet delivered to my addresse. I liked how the hotel valued my time in sharing feedback. Definitely made me happy about the personal connection. That said, The food @ Cilantro does need improvement !! Thanks ! Attachings ome pics from the overall stay

I had a wonderful dining experience at cilantro last Thursday in the 14th of July. I was there to celebrate my birthday. The food was really tasty and the restaurant has a wonderful decor. You must try this place and it won't disappoint you in anyway. For starters we had the crispy tofu, dahi papadi chat and a plate of fine dining. Their portions are so perfect that you end up eating appropriately and by the end of your meal you won't feel like you are over stuffed but still have the taste of the delicious food lingering in your mouth. We had also ordered a few mockyails - ginger ade and lemonade which were OK and nothing exceptional. I had a wonderful lemons at soda bottle openers aka which is far better than what they served. For main course we ordered Burmese khousey, gattey ki sabZi, a veggie pizza and rotis , naans and lachcha parathas. It was all very tasty. No complaints about the food quality. You might find the portion as if it's less but when you start eating you feels it's more than sufficient and as I said perfect. We were quite full so we decided to skip the dessert. Nevertheless they surprised us with a wonderful bowl of Ras malai. That was by far the best Ras malai I have eaten in my life. It was complementary but they didn't comprise with the quality. Overall a great dining experience and I would love to go back and eat here again.

The entrance of Cilantro is such a splendid one. The view was quite mesmerizing.I was at the Cilantro for the Vietnamese cuisine showcase .
Culinary experts from the "Furama Resort Danang" bring regional favourites from the length and breadth of Vietnam to Cilantro this season. The subtle use of spices, retaining the flavor and texture of vegetables in traditional fare to its riotous counterparts being served with hot curries and chutneys. The cuisine largely applies the principle of yin and yang in composing a meal beneficial for the body. While contrasting texture and flavours are important, the principal primarily concerns the heating and cooling properties of each of the ingredients.

From delicate rice paper rolls to spicy curries, Vietnamese cuisine has it all to treat your tastebuds.

1) Goi cuon chay- tofu and cucumber rice paper roll

2) Goi xoai xanh- refreshing green mango salad with baby spinach and vegetables

3) Cha gio chay- crisp fried mug bean and taro nest spring roll.

4) Pho voi rau va nam- traditional noodle soup with vegetables and mushroom. It was soothing and full of flavors.

5) Champagne and lime leaf sorbet- it was a refreshing palate cleanser.

6) Ca ri chay- vietnamese tofu vegetable curry with Jasmine rice and French baguette. The curry was fragrant and was flavorsome.

7) Banh da lon Hoi An- steamed layer cake with pandan, mug bean and coconut flavor. The presentation was wonderful and I loved this delish delight.
Special mention for the great hospitality. Ambiance is elegant and place is classy. The place is perfect for special occasions.

Follow my food journey on instagram- teekhi_mircheee

July 2016

Food 5/5
Spread 4.5/5
Ambiance 5/5
VFM 5/5
Service 5/5

When I started writing reviews I thought I will never give any review a 5 rating or what an experience would need to be like to get a rating of 5.

So on a Tuesday that's today, being a vegetarian on this day, while I love my plate of meat, I rate this place 5/5 based on today's experience.

One can argue that it's a star hotel (Trident) it has to be good. Well having eaten at so many of the like let me tell you not at all places will you get food that would appeal to your palate.

I have eaten at this place a few times before (most of those experiences would have been 4.0-4.5). Today o went veg and started with salad, some humus, dressing and thin bread. I tried roasted potato and paneer tikka amongst the starters and the Aaloo was great.
On the VEG selection. Dal Makahni was rich and good, so were the Chana, Baingan and Daal ka Kofta- all three GREAT. They had stuffed mushroom bread that was something new and tasted great in the tomato sauce.
They served Oven fresh wood fired pizza on the table that was amazing.
The deserts were great as well. Creme in caramel sauce, Chocolate mousse cup and the Pan ice cream were all amazing to end an appetising meal.

Will I go there again?
Hell Yeah!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life! Luxuriously located in the Trident which is one of the best properties in town, it caters to the ultra rich. The service is impeccable! The food is scrumptious, and the decor absolutely shouts out luxury and premium-ness. I tried the caesar salad with smoked chicken and their "signature" iced tea. Since I'm a huge fan of caesar salads, this one was nicely portioned and I'm glad to say that it cannot get any better than this! This one is a must visit specifically for those special occasions and make sure you take your debit card along since this place makes sure that the world class ambience and service comes at a high price!

Nice Ambience. Soothing music. Loved the Pita Bread and Hummus. Pasta, pizza, Dal Makhani.. everything was good. Exceptional service by Nishant with minute attention to details and comfort. Would definitely come again. :).
If opulence, luxury and great hospitality would be criteria to mark up then Ciliantro would easily be termed as top notch. The setting is magnificent with its huge dome like structures, long walkway alleys, waterfront and the grand colonial setting. The service is at its best; the hotel staff’s are willing to indulge its guests and ready to help you out in every way possible.

Alas, if only I could repeat the aforementioned paragraph for their food as well. Had their lunch buffet this Saturday and was sadly disappointed. The menu is extensive, has all the listings that you hope for but somehow the food lacks any punch or flavour.

I have attached the picks of the menu for your reference, but will just point out the good stuff that I thought was still worth a try.

To start with, the buffet included a cocktail/mocktail each and we had a wonderful orange/lemon mocktail to relish. The chicken clear soup in the buffet was well prepared and had the right flavouring as well as ingredients.

For starters, the options (total four varieties) are not elaborate but just about fine. I liked the paneer tikka more than anything else and the fish tikka was also pretty good to taste.

They have an extensive salad bar with good variety and options for both the veg section as well as the non veg section. I tried the ceaser salad, prepared by the chef which was ordinary as the chicken chunks were the same chicken tikka that was offered in the starter section. But, overall the salad section was pretty good and exhaustive.

We ordered a veg pizza with olives, baby corn and tomatoes and it was indeed well prepared. Too full to try the pasta but it seemed good enough.

The main course is dominated by Indian dishes, tried the chicken biryani and the chicken labbadar, both pretty average preparations. The Chinese dishes on offer included the garlic chicken/ fish and noodles, again nothing noteworthy.

Generally desserts are pretty good in such elaborate buffets, however I was left wanting. Liked the phirni and the bread pudding but that’s about it.

Conclusion

The service is near perfection, I mean the chef’s are willing to help, the waiters are on their toes and you feel indulged. Sadly the food is a letdown, lacks character and only seems to make the numbers. Priced at roughly 2900INR per person (non-veg including taxes) it is expensive but I wonder if worth the money.

The few things that liked are as follows:

1. Chicken Clear Soup

2. Pizzas (definitely order one)

3. Salad bar is extensive

4. Mocktails are great

5. Paneer tikka (the surprise entrant)

As you step into Hotel Trident, the mood is set for being pampered. The smiling, greeting staff peps you up even before you enter Cilantro. The mesmerising, enchanting water body and the wide arched corridors make for a beautiful way up to Cilantro.

I wasn't sure whom to approach as I stepped in. The staff was busy and that was a point where a newbie might need some help. However, once I approached the desk and told them about the reservation, they graciously seated me and immediately brought me my bowl of tomato-basil soup. The soup was a bit greasy but I liked the thick texture rather than the watery ones some restaurants serve up.

After that it was a long wait for the pizza and I approached the salad table where a large variety was laid out. I recommend getting the little bowl with baby corn, carrots and a little of everything. I found it very cute.

Our watermelon juice took a long time to come but the staff apologised for the same as their machine had broken down. The pizza seemed a bit greasy but the melt in the mouth taste made me forget all about it.

I did try a bit of the Indian cuisine they had to serve. Kasoori methi aloo was almost like how my mother makes it and hands down a winner if you don't mind a bit of sweetness. Everything else - paneer, tofu, rajmah was alright. However, what needs a special mention is the Dahi bhalle which I regret not having more of. It was so soft, I have never had anything like it.

I was overwhelmed by the large variety of sweets. The fruit pastry had fruits that were a bit on the off side. The phirni was nice albeit a bit too sweet for my taste. Mango crumble was a bit bitter, I am still not sure why. The chocolate tart and home-made Indian sweet were okay.

Overall, even though the food failed to impress me as much as I thought it would (going by the reviews), it wasn't bad though, just plain okay at times. What got my attention was the ambience and the service which was impeccable. To the extent, that the staff was aware of our every little need, even to the extent of being there to fold my napkin as I was getting up.

A quiet place with nice interior and excellent service. The food was very good but what stole my heart was the fresh variety of breads served along side our main course order. They were so fresh that just melted in the mouth. The hotel itself is so pretty and a good place to eat there is just the cherry on the cake!
