Review Thai Pavilion - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. We went there for my parents anniversary. The staff was kind enough to guide us through the menu and ensured the food was less spicy and salty for my parents. Must visit for authentic Thai experience. Special thanks to Mr Karan and his team for making this day so special.

The dining experience was exceptional, offering a diverse menu of delectable dishes. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable retreat.

recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful Thai restaurant, and I have to say, I was absolutely blown away. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and a welcoming staff that made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Whether you're a fan of Thai food or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

This is authentic Thai food. For those who have travelled to Thailand and enjoy that cuisine, this is the perfect place to go. The head chef is of Thai origin and one can see that reflect in the favour of the dishes. The Thai flavours are replicated to perfection. The interiors are plush, warm and cozy. The service is awesome. Shout out to chef Vijay and Vijay who served us. Thank you for the great experience guys

Really classy and first rate Thai restaurant found in Vivanta by Taj. Authentic thai dishes being served and the place is very cozy and relaxing. As per the waiter, the chef is actually a Thai-national hence the specialty in the cuisine that he cooks. Really good for celebrations, family gatherings and romantic dates.

Thai cuisine is considered as one of the most popular cuisines worldwide and the best thing is that, it offers lots of variety and has immense regional influences too! For instance, during the Loy Krathong at Taj City Centre , I didn’t know that the south part of Thailand has a different tribal cuisine and they use lot of bamboos to cook their dishes. They also get inspiration from Malaysia. The food is definitely spicy, so be a little careful but it’s not hot and doesn’t linger for long! It has varied and subtle flavors and each dish has a distinct flavor and doesn’t overlap. The festival is on till 18th and you shouldn’t miss it at all.

Food was pretty tasty. We ordered the sliced pork loins, red snapper, chef's special fried rice. I personally think the price wasn't worth the quality of the food, but hey that's just me. Family thinks otherwise The restaurant could improve the atmosphere, there was a lot of cheap decoration that made it look like a typical asian family restaurant

The food here is very good and the place is also very nice. This place will be memorable for me.

Best place for authentic Thai food with a premium serene ambience. Best for family dining as well.

We went to Thai Pavilion on recommendation of friends for a weekday dinner. We were impressed by the English Library Look and hug tables decorated with candles and flowers. We started with ordering Green Curry that came along with Jasmine Rice and Prawn crackers that they served as restaurant compliments. Green curry was bit spicy but the flavors were busting out. We then moved to order Shredded Lamb in Thai herbs which was the dish of the evening for me. Really soft lamb and wonderful mix of Thai herbs. Last we ordered homemade rice noodles with Thai herbs and spices. I enjoyed the pad Thai noodles 👌 Overall it was a nice experience and along with zomato gold, it was good value for money.

We ordered the vegetable set menu and well well our choice ensured that we certainly get to get a flavour of as many dishes as possible from the menu.
Apart from the food, what stands out is the remarkable and courteous service extended by the staff, especially Ganesh. The guy was amazing and simply stands out. His courteous warm nature certainly adds significantly to the entire experience 😊

Absolutely fantastic food and staff especially our server Vinay. Made the experience so much more memorable. Will definitely be coming back.

Thai Pavilion had been high on my list, ever since I have seen it win so many awards for Best Thai Restaurant in NCR. And finally visited it last Sunday for the dinner.

I ordered my favourite Green Curry that came along with Jasmine Rice. I really enjoyed the spicy and tangy flavour.

Then I feasted on Lamb crispy friend with Thai Herbs, along with Pad Thai Noodles which were homemade rice noodles.

Definitely worth the hype. I would recommend everyone to visit the restaurant.

Thai food on your mind ? Just take my word and head straight to Thai Pavillion @tajgurugram !! It possibly would be the best Thai meal you would have in Delhi/NCR. I went for dinner a few says ago and was spellbound by the aromatic, flavourful and truly authentic Thai preparations. For starters we had the chicken in pandan leaves, grilled prawns and my favourite Yam sam o (pomelo salad). Top notch !! 👌😍What followed in the mains (jungle curry, john dory etc) was even more magical and I am definitely going back soon to once again experience the sorcery of Chef Jagan and Chef Prajuab. Promise a detailed review, once I have tried most of the dishes on the menu 😉

Follow me on Instagram @SPICEITUPWITHSAM

The food was just awesome....service was prompt...you get welcome drink and veg and non veg papad...you also get a complementary cake if it's some occasion...it's a nice quiet dining place... should visit on some special occasion...the bill was surprisingly below my expectations...icing on the cake...😊

Authentic Thai taste served professionally by well trained crew. The fried rice and stir fried vegetable were just the right quantity and served hot.

With the Taj one doesn’t have to worry about the ambience. It’s magnificent and the tables are sufficiently well apart to offer reasonably good privacy.

There’s so much variety and each dish is a culinary masterpiece.

Was not a fan of Thai food , but this meal changed my mind. The food was marvellous. Had the set veg dinner which was well planned. Courteous and quick service

Well the prawn crackers is the way to start post hunger strike. Low key pleasant ambience with good service makes it for another visit. Masaman curry and prawns are a must try.

We went to Thai Pavilion for the first time as a couple dinner date. We ordered vegetarian set menu. The quantities of any dish is sufficient for two people.Everything from appetisers, soup, mains to desserts was just delicious and authentic. The hospitality and service was great...
Its a great place for Thai food..!!! Will surely visit again and recommend others too.

Have eaten at Thai Pavilion about 10 - 12 times. With the last 3 visits the place is going from great to good to average. Went for lunch and the food was at best very average and not a meal worth talking about or going back for. Service is slow and their understanding is weak. The Pomelo salad was overly sweet and lacked flavor. The spicy fried rice was a lovely color with zero flavor. The morning glory was discolored and did not look like a green vegetable. The water chestnut and cashew was nice. The lady server was very slow on the uptake and could not get even part of the order correct.
Not worth going to if it’s like this!

Over priced not value for money have been to better Thai places. Speciality places at Taj should stand out, it did not. Ok but not the iconic kinda what Taj is known for.
Preeti Jain
Absolutely horrible experience. Staff is not courteous!! They are not clear about the Zomato scheme.. they need to understand that they are Taj and not a one star hotel.

The food is fabulous and each dish was a masterclass. The service was unobtrusive. What a fabulous evening. Thai Pavilion certainly lives up to its billing. It is a class apart.

Good service but average fare. Didn't live uoto the fan fare around it. We had a simple meal with soup and two main courses...nothing much to write home about. If a Thai joint can't satisfy with even a basic red curry.... Nothing bad but nothing great either.
Went tonight as a couple for dinner. The service at the start was decent and as per basic standards. We placed our order for Koong phad Kraprao (prawns in chilli, garlicic, hot basil) and form the curries section of the menu - a pork yellow curry served with steamed rice in a pot. They served generic prawn flavored crackers like most restaurants do before the meal and replenished them attentively. The problem was with the pork - had requested the chef from the beginning if they serve pork with fat and skin rind, like the proper thai version - they confirmed they will serve fatty pork without skin, we agreed and placed the order, The pork was chewy like hell and had to be sent back for obvious reasons. The chef came and said they can use pork tenderloin and that will be fine - we said okay - this time the pork was even worse - it was like frozen pork meat that tasted super dry and flavorless & indistinguishable from a a dry chicken breast. The restaurant manager inquired about the replacement, we clearly informed him of the debacle. Instantly another chef re-appeared informing how Indian pork is dry and less flavorful and that they only use imported pork - it was so ironical. Everyone from the manager to the service guys disappeared after that. We simply quit the pork portion and ate only the prawns. Coming to the compromised prawns - they were promised as being large tiger prawns, but were simply medium sized prawns butterflied to give an impression of larger sized prawns. The sauce was decent albeit a bit sweet. After the whole episode the manager disappeared and during billing they did serve us a complimentary portion of bite sized chocolate cake - probably form the buffet - not nitpicking here but it was insultingly 1inch X 1inch sized dry piece of cake which was pretty much inedible. We don't want sidekick freebies please! We did use Zomato gold but its absolutely not about the money but about the experience - when they knew they screwed up with the pork, they should have made good with it - We went out tonight after a really long time, had hoped for it to be enjoyable, but left hungry & unattended - had to eventually cook a light snack to make up for the lack of servitude. Taj's service standards are definitely taking a nosedive across the country - from my recent experience at Jaipur to my once favorite places like Machan / yellow brick road - have definitely seen sudden quality issues from the boisterousness of the staff to some popular dishes taking a hit! They need to up their game for sure. if they wanna lose 20+ years old regular customers - may the force be with them!

We visited Thai Pavillion on a weekday, so the restaurant was not super busy. The service is one thing that really stood out - the staff is highly attentive, very informed and hospitable. We ordered a pot of Jasmine tea, which was very pleasant and fragrant. Our starter included Fish cake (Ok. The taste of Kaafir lime was very overpowering) and Kai Bai Toey (recommended). We also had a coconut prawn soup (recommended). Our main included Pad Thai (highly recommended). One of the best we have had) and steamed fish - John Dory (recommended). Our dessert was a mix of various items, including tub tim grob, which is diced water chestnut in coconut milk (highly recommended) and chocolate swiss roll (highly recommended). Overall, the ambiance is very romantic and relaxed. As mentioned earlier, the service is superb!

Right from their appetisers / soup , the food is exceptionally flavourful and enjoyable . The mains are fantastic ! We really enjoyed our dinner here . The staff is very pleasant . For food and ambience / it’s a 5/5.

One doesn't visit Taj everyday. But neither does my dad come visit me everyday from Kochi. So I decided to celebrate the moment here. The food was delicious and the hospitability was top notch. I especially loved Jasmine rice with the red Thai curry with Prawns. Id advise to go slow on the fries in the beginning because after a main course and then a dessert, I was stuffed.

At 4.5k, it was a bit pricey but if you want to have a good quality time that you will think of, this is the place you want to be.

Located on the first floor of the Taj City Centre, the hotel’s specialty fine dining restaurant, Thai Pavilion, looks out on one side—all glass—onto the lobby below, with frangipani trees and a water channel. The rest of the restaurant, walls and ceiling and floor, are paneled with warm golden-brown wood. A beautifully sculpted hand in golden metal stands in the waiting area, and each table has a beautiful orchid in a glass.

The menu has a fairly wide range of starters, soups, salads, mains (vegetarian, fish/seafood, poultry/meat), rice and noodles, etc. After a lot of dithering—so much sounded good—we settled on a starter (deep fried seafood cakes), and for a main, minced pork stir-fried with chillies and basil. On our waiter’s recommendation, we ordered a Thai style fried rice (vegetarian, though it’s also available with prawns) to go with that.

While we waited for our food to arrive, we were brought stuff to tide us over: a large basketful each of deep-fried potato crackers and prawn crackers. With that came three types of sauces: a fiery red chilli sauce, a sweet chilli dipping sauce, and a peanut sauce. Both types of crackers were addictive, and I had to make a concerted effort not to binge on them. Also served up was a small glass of a complimentary fruit drink: apple juice and pineapple juice with crushed Thai herbs. This was very nice, perfectly balanced and beautifully refreshing.

As for the food (this includes the dessert we later ordered, lemon grass ice cream):

Deep fried seafood cakes: A wee bit chewy on the outside, dense and almost homogenous except for finely sliced beans on the inside. Very tasty, and with a hint of shredded kaffir lime leaves. I also liked the salad on the side: cucumber, thinly sliced raw onion and roasted peanuts in a sweet-sour-hot-salty dressing.

Minced pork with basil and chillies: We’d been asked, while ordering, what level of spice we wanted and I had opted for medium—which was why perhaps this dish, though marked as ‘spicy’ on the menu, came with just the amount of heat I would have wanted. Lots of basil, a hint of what I thought was kaffir lime (?) and just generally good.

Thai style vegetarian fried rice: A very mild seasoning of fried garlic and onion, with loads of vegetables—broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas and baby corn—included. Nice and comforting, and a good accompaniment to the more boldly flavoured pork.

Lemon grass ice cream: Very, very good. Three scoops of this came in a champagne tulip, and at first glance I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat that much. But this ice cream was a total winner: creamy, luscious, and so packed full of the fragrance of lemon grass that I finished off every last bit of it.

Great meal, good service, and certainly a place I’d like to come back to. We paid Rs 4,015 for our meal (having availed of a discount voucher that allowed us a 20% discount). This also included taxes and the price of a beer.

The food is very good - the curries are delicious, and the pad thai is quite nice as well. The seafood is surprisingly good, and as usual, the noodle salads and papaya salads are absolutely fabulous.

My favourite dessert here is the water chestnut in coconut milk -- but beware -- this is really one of those 'different' desserts -- so if you're not an experimenter when it comes to food, stick to the fabulous chocolate stuff that they have.

Brilliant Thai food... extremely authentic though it’s heavy on the pocket alright...looking forward to my next visit here.. because it’s definitely worth it ..!

The food at Thai Pavilion is just about okay, ordered their Red Thai curry ( not up to the mark )

Raw papaya salad ( very disappointing, had a bad smell of Egg )

Just one chicken dish had a flavoursome taste.
Sharan S
Came here for dinner with my family ... having eaten a lot of Thai food over the last two decades and this being a Taj property, we went for it. We picked the clear noodle soup, chicken wrapped in leaves and friend rice. Average overall... nothing great, nothing bad; but for what you pay (pricey to say the least) not worth a second visit. Maybe we should have picked different items to order like the classic Thai curries... who knows!

Taj has always been at the top of their game when it comes to hospitality, service and quality. The Thai Pavilion, delivers just as expected. The ambience provides a warm and comforting atmosphere topped with fantastic flavour of the food.

I was there for my birthday dinner with my parents and we ordered some of the recommended dishes which included prawn, fish and pad that. For me, the highlight was the Pad Thai. Each bite, had the true Thai flavours, cooked in authentic spices and herbs.

Highly recommend this place for all Thai lovers. Additionally, the place is very reasonably priced. 3 of us ordered 4 dishes in total (2 meat mains, 1 pad Thai and 1 fish) and our bill was ~Rs. 4,900.

Our Order

Soup:
Tom Kha - koong
Tom Kha – phak

Salad:
Som Tam

Rice:
Khao Hom Mali

Appetizers:
Satay

Curry:
Gaeng Phed
Gaeng Leung

Dessert:
Chocolate souffle kha
Tub Tim Grob

We were presented with two kind of Crackers when we reached. One of the best Thai food places i have been. Absolutely loved soups with rich flavours. The quantity of any dish is sufficient for two people. The sauces served were mind blowing. Such creativity and flavour. Specially the peanut sauce served with Satay. Curries in main course were made customized on spice level up to perfection. I personally liked Satay. I derived great pleasure in savouring hot chocolate with coconut ice cream. The coconut flavour can be used in many forms which i find amazing. It was key ingredient in our soup and both desserts.
Staff is equisite and young with energy. Service is brilliant. And Ambiance is magnetic.

the ambience is lovely and the staff is warm and polite..it is quiet and private hence perfect for lunch meetings..food is nice and service is prompt

I was really excited when I heard about the Thai Pavillion in Gurgaon after my fantastic experience in Mumbai. And while the ambience doesn’t match up to its Mumbai counterpart, the food is decent. The prawn red curry and papaya salad in particular were quite good.

Exclusively for Thai and Asian food lovers. if you love these cuisines then go for it here if you never had these dishes then start trying them from here at Thai pavillion. Authentic taste and quick service made my day.

There’s no place for a better Thai experience. Chef Prajuab is an amazing chef and along with his right hand Chef Jagan they’ll cook up a Thai gastronomic decadence for you.
Must try the Phad Thai and Water Chestnut in coconut milk..
Anshu
We tried Thai Green Curry and Rice and Thailand National Dish Mango with some rice name i don;t remember.

This Mango Rice dish and Tap Tip Crom are the best in the Gurgaon.

Thanks to Jagan for giving us wonderful experience. Moreover he has a smile on face while interactin with us,very confident and good to talk, rare to have Chef like him who cook well and Speak well also.
Saurav Chawla
One of the worst Thai food experience I have ever had. The prawn starters were over cooked and flavorless, the noodles were more cooked in Chinese style than Thai. The only decent thing were their coconut ice cream and another coconut milk based desserts. Apart from that all the starters and main course I had was pretty bad. Not worth another visit.
Hemangi Ahuja
Amazing ambience😘 mouth watering food 🥂 service with the best smiles and hospitality❤️
Thanks to our server Mahinder ❤️ made our visit worth while and being our anniversary it was amazing to be there❤️

Been here twice now and each time has the same fantastic service and experience. Superb ambience, fantastic Thai food. Great place for a business meeting or for a nice evening out.
SM
Amazing place, not at all crowded and good service. We got complementary drinks. Food was great. Only one chicken noodles dish was not so good and on informing them, the chef quickly converted that to something which was again great. The dessert (coconut milk with water chestnuts) was simply awesome for a summer afternoon.
Net-net a must visit place if you like Thai food

Undoubtedly the best Thai option in the town ! I love the desert section slightly more. Highly recommended for any Thai food connoisseur 👍👍👍

If you’re staying in the hotel, it’s not a bad idea to eat in this restaurant once. Dishes are tasty, the service exceptional but prices are pretty high (over the market average for these places in India).
Pallavi
Lovely food, ambience, service, comfort seating. All perfect. We had papaya salad, chicken satay & stir fried prawns for appetisers. Yellow Thai curry with rice, fish & chicken noodles. All personalised to our chilli eating level.
Bhavna Shandilya
Best thai place thus far. Green Thai curry is top notch and is our all time favourite here. Also under rice section we really liked the spiciness of Khao phad nam prik pao.
Rahul Singal
Good food, great service, they are very keen about the taste of the food. If you don't like the taste for any reason, they refresh the dish as per your liking. Really loved their service :)
Preeti Malhotra
Fantastic selection of well executed dishes with attentive but not overbearing service. A peaceful sanctuary in the Taj Gurugon Hotel that has a relaxed atmosphere but delivers some of the best Thai Ive had in a long while. Chicken Satay have an Indian flair, but Panang is strictly traditional, with top quality spices. Certainly would merit a return visit the next time I'm in the area.

If you are a thai food lover then Thai Pavilion is the ultimate place for you. It is the most authentic and yet simple thai food that anyone will enjoy. You don't need to add drama to your food to make it appealing - as the food it itself speaks volumes of deliciousness. Thank you Ananya and Chef for the fantastic afternoon. The sticky rice and water chestnuts desserts were outstanding. It's the best Thai food in town , Period.
Jaideep Gandhi
Had dinner here last night amd found it to be absolutely superb.

We ordered their signature Pomelo salad with a hint of coriander and chillies. Very refreshing and a great way to start a meal.

The Tofu Satay was the only dish that didn't live up to our expectations. The Tofu was good however the marinade of Thai spices was a bit off.

The Nam Prik Pow rice was the star of the evening with a good amount of Thai roasted red chilli paste and lemon grass. I loved the way the spice hit me from the very first morsel. Order this only if you can handle healthy levels of chilli.

Along with the rice, we ordered some seasonal greens in ginger-garlic sauce. Again, the flavours were outstanding. The produce was farm fresh.

Phad thai was also excellent and played perfect foil to the nam prik pow. Slighrly sweetish , nice and chewy amd slightly tangy flavours ensure that there is enough drama inside your palate.

The service is warm, attentive yet non-intrusive. There are plenty of items on the menu to keep you coming. Will surely visit again.

Super friendly staff, felt welcomed, food was just amazing! This is a must try for all south east asian/thai lovers! Sakuna chowsuan was just nicely prepared. The touch that they put into food, i’d come here anyday again. Thank you

We went for dinner on the evening of February 28, 2018 at the Taj City Centre Gurugram. The Thai specialty restaurant Thai Pavilion - Taj City Centre Gurugram was quite a disappointment. My wife's salad hid a strand of hair in it. The chef came and profusely apologized. Therefore, despite feeling queasy, we decided to put it past us and proceeded to order. My wife asked for a vegetarian green curry and I asked for massaman curry. My wife's dish came watery and tasteless. The chef explained that authentic Thai food is usually bland. This gangly man with his head in a toque loaded with a Punjabi accent was getting his flavours mixed up.

Even a kid in the kitchen knows that authentic Chinese food is bland but Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian food is far from being bland. In fact, Thai food is often described as an 'explosion of flavours'. My massaman curry was a mish-mash of deftly smuggled pieces of mutton from a roghan josh or laal maas curry and pieces of lemon grass and galangal arbitrarily thrown into it. Finding hair in a luxury restaurant could be an accident but taking the customer for a fool is not. Quite the anti-climax.
I wondered at the audacity of this chef and the stupidity of the serving staff that they think the customer is a total dumbass and cannot make out any tomfoolery that they commit.

Besides, massaman curry is a light ochre yellow. This one served was definitely red leaning on rust. It was obvious that he had served a restructured mutton curry instead of a massaman curry. Disgusting.

Earlier, while my wife nearly puked on the salad with hair in it, I was eating a sea bass. The sea bass had been cooked very well, in a perfectly continental way. The sauce applied on the sea bass reminded me of an Amritsar wedding. Other than the pomello salad served on the side, which the server had forgotten about for the first 10 minutes, there was nothing Thai about the fish.

On the other hand, I fondly remember my memories when I used to be a regular at the Thai Pavilion at the President, Mumbai maybe during 2001-03. I used to have dinner every evening with my fellow consultant Rajan Bedi after a hard day's work and then retire in the room at the President. This had gone on for months and we never thought of shifting loyalties such was the quality of the food. Now, it has come to this. Such negligence will dilute the Thai Pavilion brand in no time.

Amazing food. Excellent service and a lovely ambience
We had the crispy fried fish and chicken sweet basil as appetisers .
Both there dishes were lip smacking !!

For mains we had the pad thai spicy fried rice,n jungle curry & red curry
The flavours were authentic & distinct .

One of the best thai food restaurants I have eaten in

Thai Pavillion is synonymous to an Authentic Thai experience. A place for special dinners and a memorable time. Souffle is a must try in deserts.
We went there with high expectations but were let down by the quality of the food. If a Thai restaurant is not able to make a decent green curry then there is a problem. Had visited the restaurant once before and had found the food at par with there Mumbai restaurant hopefully it was just a one off case

I have fond memories of Thai pavilion from Taj President Mumbai. It was the first time I had Thai food - and that has become sort of the benchmark for Thai food for me.

So to celebrate my anniversary - this was the place I wanted to come.

We came here for lunch, and ordered the following items:
Thai green curry (standout - amazing)
Chicken with cashew nut
Wok style prawns with basil (off the menu recommendation)

The meal was fabulous- and we would definitely be back again!

I went there for my anniversary dinner, they went out of their way to make us feel special. Pad Thai and Penang Curry was amazing, the ambience and service is exotic. Thank you for making our day special guys.

Extremely dissatisfied with the casual way in which they handle guests and make bookings. Miscommunication is rampant and certainly not worthy of being called a 4-5 star restaurant.

Thai pavilion is a fantastic place to visit. Authentic Thai currys - Red, Yellow & Green, phad Thai noodles are the real flavor of this restaurant. The coconut dessert with water chestnuts is really mouth watering. Efficient & courteous service is a big plus. Enjoyed the day with family

Sridhar V

Food is not just a meal, but an experience today. And that's what you get when you visit Thai Pavilion. The servers are very courteous, pay attention to your needs. The restaurant is spacious enough, and has a good decor. Not the best decor though. But that's where the food comes. You are first served chip, one normal ones and one prawn flavored, with three types of sauces. Coming to mains, we had pla nueng manao(steamed john dory in lemon garlic sauce), Kai phad med ma mueng(stir fried chicken with cashew nuts), pe phad prik thai(crispy lamb stirred with bell peppers), and bamee kai(stir fried rice noodles with chicken). The john dory was juicy but a little bland, but that's how we expected it to be. The chicken and lamb were just amazing. The meat was juicy and fresh and the ingredients just added to the whole flavor. We also had mojitos for drinks. I personally liked the mojito since it had a little more than lime than usual and I enjoyed the taste very much. But the even better part of the meal was the dessert. We had tub tim grob and dark callebaut chocolate strata. The chocolate strata had good taste, not too bitter not to less. Accompanied with vanilla ice cream it was great. But the tub tim grob was the best dessert to have eaten in a long long time. It was diced water chestnut in coconut milk, served in a coconut itself. The coconut milk enhanced the flavor of the chestnut, and it was amazing as hell. Perfect in sweetness, it was the perfect ending to the already perfect meal!! This dessert is a must try as it is their speciality also. All in all, it was a perfect Sunday meal.

This was my second time here, and it did not disappoint. The food is clearly the hero - great selection, beautifully done and presented and the right quantity. But, the service is a lot to speak about, as well!

We were having a business lunch and I had requested for 2 small cakes for the birthdays we were celebrating. They did a fantastic job of really delish cakes and a spectacular firework candle. Overall, prompt, pleasant and perfect service.

This time round we ordered the mango salad, coriander and coconut soups, pad Thai noodles, Thai fried rice, chicken with cashews, red curry with peanuts (comes with servings of steamed rice)... and each one was great.

The ambience is pleasing - quiet and well put together. All in all, a great place to get some authentic Thai for a business meal, celebration or a date.

I've been here a number of times now on business trips. It's a great restaurant with excellent food, and very good service. There clientele range from familiy's, some appearing to be celebrating, larger groups in the slightly segregated seating area, to a people on business.

Worth being aware that the portion sizes are pretty large!

Highly recommended

Thai Pavillion is undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in India. The Ladies Luncheon and the executive lunches give the option of grabbing a fantastic 4 course Thai meal for just Rs 1250 per taxes per person. Perfect for upgrading your kitty parties to another level. Great for business lunches too. The meal comes preplated in perfect portions with all the right tastes and flavours. I loved the chicken wrapped in pandanus leaf as starter. The coriander soup was very appetising. Main course offered a piquant green curry and crispy fried john dory. Finally the water chestnut dessert in coconut milk was the perfect ending to a great meal!

Great Thai food - good service. Pad Thai is really good, though Thai papaya salad doesn't have the spicy edge. Veg dishes are quite good, have always had a good meal here

Taj Vivanta in Gurgaon is a great property with phenomenally great staff. As for Thai Pavillion.......2 thumbs up. Just great food. The ambience is good but the usual Thai instrumental music which makes you feel like you are in a Spa, but that's just me. Most of my friends loved the feel of the place.

What matter is the food and you won't go wrong with

Starters
Som tam
Thod man khao phod
Koong nam prik pao

Mains

Koong Krateim
Pla rad prik
Gaeng Kaew warn kai

Special mention to their water chestnuts in coconut milk. Had never tried this before and it was delicious. It's better to order one of these between two people.

Okay so high expectations but low results, I was looking out for some real thai experience.

Food is just okay, they need to get better with theflavours, soups are must try, tempura prawn needs some look after (don't spoil it). The noodles can be way better, they are not suppose to be sticking and dry. Such a bad thai. The service was slow and they looked tired.

Taj you can do so much better.

Brilliant food. Amazing service. The pork chops were not well cooked and tasted a little off so I brought this to the attention of the server. And like a top notch restaurant the chef, in seconds, was at our table offering to make amends. Really appreciate this kind of attention to a customers needs.
He gave us a serving of the chicken and a fish cooked to detailed perfection. Served with wonderfully aromatic jasmine rice and the perfect cocktail to go with it.
Very impressed. Keep up the good work.
Definitely coming back.

I was very excited about visiting Thai Pavillion. The ambiance and decor were very nice. I had fresh orange juice which was on point. I was a little disappointed by the food. I ordered the Koong samrod (tiger prawns with chilli paste and makroot leaves) and fried rice. Both were good, but not exceptional like I had expected. Prawns were fresh though. Overall, I don't think this place is quite worth the money.

Bery good ambience. Nice food variety. Been there with my wife and friends. They have very good collection of wine. Staff are friendly. Will visit again.

loved the decor & place. very warm interior. LIIT served within 4 mins after placing order and its tasted excellent. coming to food prawn in thai spicy sauce was phenomenal.

apart from that we tried thai crispy fish, mix greens, phad prio warn.

the best part was coordination between service and kitchen.

Thai expat chef personally visited on table and checked about our experience.

will recommend in top 10 restaurants of gurgaon in five star category.

Reviewing this iconic award winning restaurant today,
We were served our first platter which had,
• Kai hoi bai toey , it’s a non-vegetarian dish which is pandan-wrapped chicken morses
• Som tam koong sod, non-vegetarian dish as well, which includes shrimp and young papaya salad, the salad was moist but slightly bitter although on the whole it seemed well balanced.
• Sam SA hai, a vegetarian dish in which pandan-wraped palm heart, sweet corn and tofu cooked with fresh Thai herbs.
This platter was really delicious, mouthwatering and flavorsome. You could feel the richness of the Thai cuisine;
The main course had another platter coming our way – THE BAK CHANG
It was divided into three sections,
Bak chang thaley, it had seafood, pickled ginger, fresh turmeric, spring onion.
Bak chang kai, minced chicken, cashew, red chili paste.
Bak chang pe, succulent minced lamb shallots, Thai herbs, roasted chili paste.
All three of the above were served with sticky Thai jasmine steamed rice wrapped in young bamboo

Generally what we expect from Thai cuisine is a Thai curry, Thai omelets etc but this was something very different.
Coming to the dessert,
I was expecting some common dishes but then I got my eyes on to this beautiful dessert, named Tako, which includes classic pandan coconut and rice pudding..which took my heart away😍
Perfert lunch comes to and end now 😁
Great food and excellent service. The only bummer is the loud music playing next door during the evening. Being forced to listen to loud music with bass thumping through the floor while trying to enjoy a sit down dinner dilutes the experience.

I believe that Thai cuisine requires an acquired taste. So I've been occasionally trying out Thai food especially the prawns in red and green Thai curry.

Then happened to go out for dinner with relatives to Thai Pavilion. Loved the ambiance. The food was so flavourful! Sticky rice with veggies in green Thai curry was soulful.
Also had prawns with this unique tamarind sauce and it was yummy!
Cherry on the cake was the complimentary prawn and pumpkin crackers they'd served on the side.

Yummy!

Lets see... where do I begin?
I got to relive my first holiday in Thailand through my saturday night dinner at the Thai Pavilion.
We were warmly welcomed and taken to our table where we were first served papaya chips and prawn chips which we thoroughly enjoyed munching. For starters, we asked for tom yum soup (Classic) and a prawn appetizer (I forget the name). The Tom yum was delicious. I like to get maximum out of my visits to a restaurant and I fulfil that by usually getting a platter. The chef recommended the best on the platter - Rice, papaya salad, creamy yellow curry and roasted fish with a wonderful spicy chilli sauce on it. Papaya salad had a nice flavorful kick and the yellow curry could easily become anyone's favorite in my opinion. Oh and not to forget the dessert - I was told that the coconut cream with water chestnut is a specialty and that is what we had. A little too sweet for me but I loved the crunch that the water chestnut gave. So that is it, that is all the good food that I ate all graced by the hospitality of the staff who were very prompt & courteous.
I would recommend this place for the authenticity and the ambience.

This is not a review of the food but of the restaurant in general. I booked a table for 8 for lunch on a special occasion but my guests arriving from delhi were in for a rude shock when they were refused seating on account of restaurant being completely booked. I tried to reason with them in vain for half an hour as to why was I was informed otherwise and my booking accepted. An utter lack of professionalism and an unapologetic 'we dont care we are booked for the day' attitude left us embarassed as hosts. Absolutely disappointed, disgusted and never coming back again. So much for Taj hospitality!

We were here for dinner on a Friday evening. It is located just adjacent to the tease bar. The ambience is pretty good, with a bar at the entrance followed by ample of seating space. They offer pumpkin and prawn fritters with three dips, that they explain well. We ordered for veg red curry and pad Thai noodles. Pity they don't serve sticky rice with red curry, but steamed rice. We ordered that separately. The service initially was slow and non responsive. Eventually, they served well on the table. The food was delicious with good portion sizes. We also ordered a cocktail which was well prepared. Nice place at a convenient location.

It was a long due visit and I am quite blown away by this place. Firstly the property is beautiful. I didn't know it was made so well. The interiors are fabulous and everything is spick and span. The lobby is great and the restrooms are superbly maintained. On the more from the moment you reach the gate and exit the hotel the service is spectacular. I have never seen such hospitality. The servers take care of you every second. The order was taken with ease and the food was just right to what I had asked for. The complimentary papad snack was also quite nice. I ordered pad Thai, Hakka noodles, Thai curry and stir fry veggies. Everything was delicious and there were literally three people serving you your food. Also there was a person standing close to our table and the minute we would serve ourselves the person would come and serve. You didn't have to make any effort at all. Also while leaving they said goodbye so warmly. Experience is what I believe is the crux of having a meal outside and Thai Pavilion made sure that they made every second a memorable one. I wish I knew the name of my server. Would give him a special mention. Glad that I finally visited and will surely go here more often. At the top of my favourite places to eat list.

It's very good for a Thai food. I had dinner and ate vegetarian food. Mostly items were yummy. Ambience is really nice inside. Good to visit for a cozy evening.

Love the place!!! Good food, great ambience, amazing friendly and respectful service. Eaten twice and cannot wait to be back! Simply put, lives up to the Taj level of quality in all aspects!

Always classy! Didn't match up to the Thai Pavilion at the Taj President Mumbai, but was pretty good nonetheless. Good ambience, good food, reasonable service

Great ambience, close to authentic Thai food, portions were good too! Pricing may be a dampener for some! Great experience overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

This was one of my favourite Thai places to eat in gurgaon. But I'm actually not complaining about the food quality but the service quality of the place. am appalled at the way Taj treats it's customers. After making us wait for 45 mins for the restaurant to open we were informed that we would not be entertained for food since the restaurant is sold out. Surprisingly there was no notice or anything anywhere mentioning that. So they've definitely lost one of their loyal customers!

i had their 3-course meal which comes in a separate menu and is really worth trying atleast once. A must try is the Coconut Milk dessert, its out of this world. haven't tasted something so delicious and filling in ages

Went here for my Birthday dinner and the staff there made sure it was special and grand.
The staff was attentive and courteous, really supportive in helping us choose us the dishes from the menu.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted equally good. They made a special arrangement for me and provided fresh coconut water which was direct from the freezer and very well presented.
The restaurant even gave a complimentary pastry slice of a huge layered cake and delicious is an understatement for the same!!
Overall lovely ambience, wonderful food and very good staff. Would recommend this place for special evenings.

I absolutely love this place. It has a great setting and ambiance. The staff is very courteous and smiling. They genuinely take interest in whether you are enjoying or not.

The food is great. Menu is innovative. I would recommend not to be conservative while ordering and try out new things here. We were delighted with the flavor and cooking.

Came out happy after dinner here. Nothing to complain. Must visit.

Even before my stay in Taj Vivanta, I was told by my team that the Thai Pavilion is a must try even though they were going to try it for the first time. When we went there the first time, we decided to go there everyday for either lunch of dinner in our 5 day stay in the hotel. The first thing I like about this place is how they authentically recreated the Thai dishes especially the ones with coconut curry and green curry. Secondly, I also loved the way the seafood soup was prepared which reminded me of the restaurants in Thailand. And, thirdly, the interior and ambiance was simply amazing. I could go on and on gushing about this place and not get tired.

I have literally covered the entire menu in my 5 day stay at the hotel but some of the dishes, which I find worth mentioning are Thai Dim Sum Chicken (or Vegetable); Thai Herb Flavoured Coconut Soup Prawn; Coriander Soup with Thai Herbs Prawns (these could be had even in Vegetables and it is still delicious); Steamed John Dory with Lemon Grass Sauce; Thai Green Curry Prawns and Thai Red Curry Chicken. In the drinks, I chose Mint Lemon Mojito, which was really refreshing.

The place is conveniently located at a walking distance of HUDA City Center Metro Station and, even though the prices in this restaurant are slightly above the normal range, it is a perfect outing for weekend dining and celebrations.
