Review Karnataka - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Gaurav Joshi
Guys.. everything is good here.. the food..the taste and the services... But one thing sucks.. waiting time to get the table... I have been there five times.. three times I returned after waiting for 50 mins... And twice I got the table after waiting for 80 minutes... Pls ensure you and your family/guests are mentally prepared for this disappointment..

A Delightful Culinary Experience at the Karnataka Restaurant I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Karnataka Restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The menu at Karnataka restaurant is a vegetarian's dream come true. It offers a wide variety of flavorful and creative dishes that showcase the versatility of Karnataka’s cuisine. this restaurant has something for everyone. The flavors were equally impressive, with each bite bursting with freshness and expertly balanced seasonings. The ingredients were of the highest quality, and it was evident that the chefs took great care in selecting the finest produce. The flavors were harmonious, and the authentic Karnataka’s dishes showcasing the restaurant's ability to elevate simple ingredients into a dish that was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. The service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall exceptional dining experience. In conclusion, the Karnataka Restaurant is a gem for vegetarians at Gurugram Sec 22, Its a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights.

Had a very nice experience with the food. It was tasty and portion was very good.
jagmohan chhabra
It is a calm and quiet place but the customers were in small number as such there was relaxation in sevice. On the whole it was nice I and my family enjoyed Masala Dosa to its fullest.

A 10/10. Whenever I visit Sector 22 Gurugram, i always have my lunch in Karnataka. Great place. Total south Indian feeling. Quite and nice. Excellent cleaned space. Excellent sitting area. Excellent food taste and quantity. Prices are also average. Owner is south Indian and some of the staff too. Staff is very polite and the owner too. Must visit.
SHIVAM MITTAL
Good family place. Such an amazing place to visit for South Indian food. Outstanding service and outstanding variety of food. Loved the ambience of the place. It is a place for fine dining with your friends and family too. We had Butter Masala Dosa which was just amazing.
Shilpi Sood
South Indian served here is authentic and amazing in taste. Service needs to be improved since the staff is not well trained to handle the rush hours. You have to ask them multiple times to get sambhar and other stuff.
nishant gupta
This is the only decent restaurant around sec 22 , 23 serving south indian delicacies.. the place is clean hygenic and serves decent quality food..

I was thr for a meeting, being in a crowded market and on first floor, its not much spacious but yes its pocket friendly ofcourse, i ordered noodles and spring roll and was quite good in taste.they need to work on their slow service, but otherwise food taste, hygeine, everything was intact.

This is one of the best South Indian food in entire Gurugram. Trust me when I say "The Best". It's super clean restaurant. Their food aroma is too awesome. They have maintained their awesome taste for past 5 years now (Today in 17-March'2019). They do serve North Indian and Chinese as well. It opens at morning 8am till 11pm in Night. After having mouth watering healthy food do try South Indian sweet pan as well. Parking here is free. Food is very cheap if you compare the taste (Actually you won't feel that you are paying more). A masala dosa will cost you Rs. 140 + GST. Try the food then you will say why they are not charging more then Rs. 200/- for this awesome food. They are on Swiggy as well, but it's better if you come and eat here only. They do have a party hall for a gathering of 30-40 people on 2nd floor.
Vishal Bhaker
Good restaurant. Nice taste. Have options in South Indian, North Indian and Chinese. Authentic Saambhar taste with awesome filter coffee. Tomato chutney is tangy enough to love it. BUT, service is slow..dear restaurant please work on this..I have faced this at least thrice. Overall nice option.

* Authentic South Indian food. * Proper hygiene. * Awesome service.

Very good place. I love the vada..it was surprisingly the best dish. I wasn't expecting that it could be soft and delicious. Love the ambiance.

Looking for a reasonably priced family restaurant? Then this is a perfect place for you. Located in sector 22 huda market, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, this restaurant offers amazing indian and south indian delicacies. I've been here for family dinner several times. The food taste & quality is quite good. The menu is reasonably priced. The staff is really warm and welcoming. In total, good place for family dinners :)

By name this places suggests you South Indian restaurant but you will find everything good here. North Indian , Chinese and South Indian every cuisine is perfect in quality and taste.
Ordered food yesterday the Veg Manchurian was so spicy we could not eat more than a spoon. No quality control. Shabby .

Very bad service of the restaurant they orange juice in a plastic bag charge huge amount of money also masala dosa was very oily and tasteless. Such a pathetic food will not recommend anyone
Foodie_rendezvous
An affordable place for satiating your South Indian food cravings.
I had ordered one masala dosa along with which I got a good amount of sambhar, coconut chutney and red chutney.
The dosa wasn't crisp, maybe due to the long delivery time or may be it was made that way.
The sambhar was delish , thick and the quantity was a lot. Liked it.
The ccoconut chutney was tasty however I don't like the red chutney.
Aayush Parashar
Best south indian restaurant in Gurgaon. Food at reasonable prices, service is also very good. Ambience is also great.

The staff served water with coconut particles in this which cause of immediate vomit on table. Owner told us to leave the restaurant and not even apologized for that. He immediately clear our table and ask us to left his restaurant while we were waiting to get another table. We got surprised by this kind of behavior of owner. We were peaceful and waiting to atleast offer to get new table. It's worst attitude of restaurant owner I have ever seen in life.

Have been to this place 4-5 times now . located in sector 22 main market their food items is good and give it a try if you like to eat south indian . Quality is upto the mark with worth pricing .
Tried uttapam , Masala dosa and tawa idli
Taste test - 3.5/5
Service 3.5/5
Ambience 3.5/5

This place surprisingly serves excellent Chinese food in addition to South Indian. Amazing food, ambience and polite staff. Must visit if you are around

Karnataka by its name may give you an idea that it will be limited to dosa and south indian delicacies but it's lot more than that. Without a doubt the south indian foods are delicious but their Chinese and north indian delicacies are equally good. A perfect place to satisfy the culinary endeavours

What is a basic definition of khichdi and why is it eaten? Khichdi is something which is eaten when a person is sick or wants to eat a light food. I ordered it for my pregnant wife. It is hell spicy. The whole motive of eating khichdi is not met. Unexpected.
Meenakshi Raina
It is a decent south Indian restaurant with average food taste.
I tried -

Andhrapesarattu Dosa ( it is prepared with moong daal batter with Upma filling inside it ). 😋

Sprill roll dosa, which can be eaten as a snack. 😋

Plain rawa dosa - very crispy

Poori bhaji - 2 sabji with 5 puris

South Indian Thali platter

Tamarind Rice served with Papad n Raita

Buttermilk and lassi

Dessert - Honeymoon special ice cream ( 6 different ice creams served together with some nuts and crunchies )

Recommendation - Please improve the chutneys and the sambhar along with buttermilk !
Have been to this place 3-4 times. The place is just above average for south indian food. Here is the review of items ordered:

a) Idli - the idlis were soft and good. Sambhar is just average, but not disappointing. Red chutney is good, coconut was also okay.
Rating - 3.5/5

b) paneer dosa - too oily at the top. Inside filling is just plain paneer bhurji.
Rating - 3/5

c) Mix Uttapam - too bland or rather a homemade taste type uttapam.
Rating - 3.5/5

Advice to restaurant - need to work on your taste. The products look like too simple. They have to be given an authentic Carnatic taste.

Last week I ordered from Karnatak. I liked this restaruant very much because they are providing a very good and yummy south indian food. Or you can say, it is my one of the favorite restaurant. This time I tried north indian food from here. My order was -

- Veg Peshwari

- Kashmiri Aloo
- Palak Paneer

- Garlic Naan

- Kadhai paneerFood was very yummy and tasty and fresh and hot.. Delivery is also good. but service was awesome.. I will recommended this outlet for every one... Recommended...

Ordered spinach soup and the packaging was so bad that i had to literally throw my soup and when called the restaurant they said its not our fault it’s delivery boys so I guess if the restaurant manager is so adamant and over confident- this remark is for Karnataka owners to read and do some good to retain old customers as now there are more restaurants then we have days so we can switch over to any new restaurant with super good rating - work on your style don’t save money on cheap packaging

Location: Sector 22 market, visible from the road.
Parking: available easily.
Access: On first floor via staircase. No lift if required for senior citizens.
Ambience: south indian style.
Service: quick, good, cheerful.
Food: All major south indian foods, mini idli, dosa, uttapam are ok and can be tried.
Cost: Ok, 400-500 for 2. Karnataka
A must go place to satisfy South Indian cuisine craving ....food worth costing and I ordered Dosa and idli...Quantity and Quality at par with Perfect Ambience ..staff was courteous polite and well behaved

Had food poisoning to my 4 out of 5 family members who had ice cream there. I called them to inform this but as usual they said other people also had that ice cream and nobody complained about this without even knowing which ice cream we had. I am damn sure about this bcoz 4 out of 5 people had ice cream and all 4 had vomiting and stomach issue including my 1 year 4 month kid. Problem is that they don't want to acknowledge even without checking what I had. Quality of one of my favorite resturant is soo low now.
Abhishek Saini
Ordered masala dosa and sambhar. Dosa was ok but Sambhar needs huge improvement for a place specializing in south indian. Chutneys r gud too.

Good at taste. Close to authentic south indian taste. Nice family veg restaurant. They also serve north indian food. If confused. Go for today's special options. 👍

Masala Dosa and chutney was good in taste, especially the tomato chutney. Sambar was not upto the mark. Payasam was delicious and I would love to order again.
Vamsi Krishna Raju
Fail to understand customer choices. Some items were decent and good, however some food items like veg Manchuria, gobhi Manchuria, babycorn were too bad and they fail to the core. The one star, I am giving is because of some South Indian breakfast items were decent( no that great for the price they provide). Vada is again full of oil and trust me I have been to best outlets and had Vada with least oil in it and also tasty. Overall this isn’t a place to have a good and healthy food, For the price u are paying.
Signing off,
A consumer who tried many different items in this outlet and came with this final rating

Review from a desi vegetarian foodie:

Ordered food from this place. Average quality south indian food. Ordered Papad
Veg uttapam, Onion Uttapam, Idli, chana masala, chilli mushroom

Food quality: Except Papad, rest all average.
Papad was worst. Some bad oil smell was coming from it.

Packaging Rating: 1/5
Packaging was pathetic. Papad was shattered. Chana masala was spilled. Sambar, uttapam was packed in polethene bags. Uttapam was spoiled with polethene (it was all watery).

Cleanliness / Hygiene: 2/5
Food quality (freshness): 2/5

Value for money: 2/5

Others:
This place is moderate expensive ₹₹
Reservations Required: No

OVERALL RATING: 2/5.

My Rating Scale:
One star= yuck..
Two stars= I’ve experienced better
Three stars=just OK
Four stars=Yea! I’m a fan
Five stars=Woohoo! As good as it gets!

A decent south indian place with fast service! Uttapam was good but I didn’t like Mysore masala dosa that much. Their red chutney is really flavourful!

Places like Karnataka are pristine examples of restaurants that don't need extravagant interiors to attract crowds. A very simple, yet ergonomic set up for people who want Dosas, Idlis and such south Indian delicacies.

We ordered:

₹ Mysore Masala Dosa: Mysore dosa is a spicier version of the conventional dosa. Love their rendition of the same.

₹ Chilli Garlic Dosa: An even spicier dosa, as the name suggests. Do try it when you're there.

₹ Idli: Can't go wrong with the plain old Idli

₹ Onion Capsicum Uttapam: Soft and lovely, with the right amount of toppings

₹ Vada: It was okay, won't order again and again.

The sambhar, tomato chutney and coconut chutney were also great. Worth comparing with other big South Indian chains. This has been my go to South Indian food place for a while now.

Pocket friendly, hygenic and quality food served with very less prep time...thats what needed for a lunch outside on a working day.
Located pretty near to busy Udyog Vihar.
Have been here thrice. This place has never left me dissatisfied

Have been to this outlet multiple times for lazy Sunday brunch. Simply delicious South Indian thali with authentic filter coffee makes my day..
NuttyNerds
Decent place to satiate one's south Indian cravings. neat and tidy sitting, good service, great variety of both south and non-south Indian cuisines (because of Chinese too). Doesn't burn a hole in your pocket. student friendly, supports family get-togethers, casual bunks, etc.
Coming to the food, very hot and crispy vada- must must have; regular crispness and taste in masala and plain dosa, food adventurers can go in for spring dosa as well- it is surely photogenic, but basically spring roll ingredients that don't gel quite that well in the humble dosai.

Two suggestions- Idlis can be made softer, and cold coffee thick and creamier.

This restaurant was in my list of outlets to visit due to its name and the reviews, we are family of South Indian food lovers and are always on a lookout for authentic stuff. We finally visited this only Veg outlet in navratra, here is my feedback.
Service - 5/5
Taste - 3/5
Ambience - 3/5
Mysore masala dosa, uttapam, Neer dosa and Chowmein all tasted good like at any other South Indian outlet, However real taste from Karnataka was missing in dosas ( thicker in Bengaluru), chutney and sambhar tasted average.
Srishti Sharma
Whether it's crispy Dosa or tender Idli, the entire South Indian cuisine has a different magic in its own way. Being a extreme south indian food lover, I dined in with a friend to this place in Gurgaon Sector 22 . We ordered a Mysore Rava Masala dosa which was on the special list and onion uttapam .
Food 3/5
Service 4/5
Richa Khatri
A nice calm sober place to have good South Indian food in Gurgaon. Located at the centre of Sector 22 market, Gurgaon.
You can get two dosas in around 500 bucks!
Service is real quick!
Bharti Gupta
Nice ambience.
Taste of food is also good. Been there for 3-4 times. I have tried chineese, north indian and south indian. And they were good. Only thing is drinks like lassi , lime soda are not worth the price.
Shubham Gulati
The food here is decent but not that authentic as expected. The costing is on the higher side. The ambience is good though. Can visit if looking for a change of cuisine.

This is one of the south Indian restaurent in Gurgaon, located in sector 22 market. Only the name says Karnataka restaurent, don't expect pure karnataka authentic taste, :)

We had a starter, mushroom manchuria, it was spicy, tasty. South Indian combo was good, with so many items like, dosa, vada, kesari. If you are missing south indian food badly, then you must try this, especially masala dosa (my favorite).

Kesari halwa was too yummy.

It has almost all south Indian varities and various kind of dosas.

The ambience and service was good. My rating is 4/5.
Amit Kanojia
we have visited the restaurant on 25th Aug and had our dinner with one of may friend and his family. The food taste wise Karnataka Restaurant is really very good in all three karnataka outlets but on that day food quality was poor as out of 4, two people have got stomach infection and still suffering with that. So

Ambiance - 3/5
Food taste - 4/5
Food Quality - 2/5
If food quality is not good overall rating will be 2/5
Priyank Saxena
Nice food. Good options if you like south indian food. Service is so so. But food quality is one of the best one in sector 22. Try one time i m sure, you will give a good review....

Excellent South Indian dishes served with awesome sambar and chutney.
Delectable Chinese dishes.
Cost effective.
Recommended- Schezwan Fried rice , ghee dosa
VIVEK CHOUDHARY
The taste of the food was very awesome, truly saying I was feeling to eat my fingers along with dosa. The taste of the sambhar was so authentic that I have not even tasted such a good sambhar in years. The idli and the wada combination along with sambhar was sooooooo tasty.
Sumit Jindal
Food quality and service is good. I like the tasty dosa. Ambience is not so attractive. Baby chair is also available their. That's good for parents.
TinchOfTaste
One of the best south indie restaurants. Whenever I drool to eat some typical south indian food and not much costly, i choose to go to this place after sagar ratna. Superb service, great food, enough quantity, don't miss on to ask for extra red chutney ;).
Sagar Mulani
I completely hated the food, it was a complete wastage, it is highly preferred not to order food especially home delivery sucks completely.
Please improve your taste!
Om Prakash Mahto
It's a good place to eat . But in recent times they have revised their price and ' Oh boy it's getting really difficult to go their...
Their food are good... noodles are good... and their khichdi or I should say bisse bille bhat is light spicy and full filling ...
Service a bit slow... staff is nice ...
Seating is good
Staff is good
Food is good ...
But dont have north Indian food their ... it's not their forte as their name suggest ...
Sahil Sharma
Service is just superb. The food is good in taste. Seats are high which is nice no wait. Decor superb. Best is mysore dosa and along with the south indian menu they have order food items available as kadhai paneer, dal makhni etc.
I have been a patron of this restaurant since it's inception in late 2014/ early 2015. The food was good and the restaurant was located in a convenient location in Sector 22 in GGN. After a long gap of almost 1.5 yrs, I visited this restaurant this past Sunday and was so disappointed to notice how the quality of this restaurant had fallen. I ordered Andhra Pesarattu from the Today's special menu, thinking that it would be served faster. That did not happen. But, a greater shock was when the dish was actually served, it turned out to be a regular dosa with a "green stuff" brushed on top of it, like how one would brush the 'red chutney' in Mysore masala dosa. Pesarattu is a dish made from soaked and ground whole moong with onion, cilantro (or as per your preference) and made into a dosa. This dosa is slightly thick and fully green in clot and looks truly appetising. But, the oe that was served to me did not look anything like this. It is indeed very bad PR for Karnataka Restaurant to serve a dish in this manner. The north Indians eating it in their restaurant in GGN may not even know that they are being duped so badly. But, for a south Indian like me, it is abominable. This shud stop Karnataka Restaurant. I hope you will, atleast after reading/ this published review. Please do not take your customers for granted.
Gaurav Bhatia
Great food with very decent ambience .

I have tried both north indian and South Indian items and all were amazing.

There kesri halwa is too yummy.

This place is just above lock up restaurant and i will recommend not to go lock up and you guys must try this place.
Taste_the_Beauty
Karnataka restaurant is the best place to go with your family. The food was brilliant. We ordered Paneer lababdar😋 and it was delicious. But the place is always full, you have to wait a few. Other than it's a good place ♥️👍
Somya
For the first time i visited this place, and i was very much satisfied with the food and service. They serve authentic south indian food but only vegitarian.
I ordered vada sambhar and cold coffee .
Vada was very soft and delicious.
I tried south indian food at many food station but they serve the best sambhar.
They tamato chutney was also satisfactory.
Food- 4/5
Service-5/5
Ambience-3/5
Sanprati Sharma
This place is highly over priced and not that much tasty food as well. As they opening a south indian place why they want to have north indian food as well. The south indian food here is real luscious but on the side north indian is not good at all. The paw bhaji was not at all tasty and nor was chilli potato but cheese dosa was nice. So they better keep it exclusively south indian food.
Damini
One of the decent places for South Indian cuisine in the area. The thali was perfect for one people and the dishes were fresh as well. Reasonable pricing. would return...
Prateeklink
It’s much better to go and dine in at this place. Home delivery :- masala dosa was yummy but tomato uttapam got dry and didn’t taste good.
Delivery: swift.
For dine in : 4 stars
For delivery quality: 3 stars

The South Indian thali was really good. So was the dosa. Ordered a few weeks back and was really impressed with the outlet. Will surely order again

Best vegetarian restaurant in the area. South Indian food aroma is naustalgic. Good variety of North Indian and Chinese food as well. Comfortable seating arrangement.

Good food. A lot like sagar ratna. Nothing fancy or out of the box.. good seating space and service. Food was good.. Price is a bit on the higher side. Thumbs up!

Visited this place tonight on recommendation of my brother in law. We were a group of four hungry souls looking for yummy South Indian food. We ordered these dishes: ghee roast rava masala dosa, South Indian platter, South Indian thali, idli sambar, mix veg uttapam. Everything was awesome, especially loved their red chutney n rasam. Simple decor , decent staff n service was good too. Also pricing is good too, very reasonable I would say.
Mohit Behl
I had ordered food and the food that was delivered was....JUST PLAIN Horrible food. Paneer was bad, it had gone sour and then naan, chapati had small stones in it... waste of money
Parveen Ballyan
Pathetic food and poor service, food was ok filled with lot of oil. Chef used one liter of oil to prepare one Dosa. Not suggested at all to anyone.
Manan Chotmarada
I was here a fortnight ago for dinner with my office colleagues. The restaurant is situated in a good locality with quite a few decent restaurants. Dont be misguided by the name like I was as Karnataka is not a state run Bhawan but is a private restaurant only.
There's nothing great about the ambiance of the restaurant. The seating arrangement and the ambiance is like that of a canteen only, except that it is cleaner and more spacious.
We had dahi vada and chilli paneer for appetizers and onion rava masala dosa, spring roll dosa (their so called speciality) and tamarind rice for main course. The appetizers were quite nice, including the chinese chilli paneer. I had a lot of expectations from the spring roll dosa but it turned out to be really average. It can be avoided. Onion rava masala dosa was nice and the tamarind rice were pretty good. Would reccomend the tamarind rice if you're visitng Karnataka. We also had the signature rava kesari for dessert. That was pretty awesome, prabably the best item in the whole meal. Recommended.
The service is satisfactory. We were attended politely and humbly. The waiters were sweet and down to earth. Its just that the service is a bit slow for a South Indian restaurant, where the food is cooked in a very short span.
Overall, Karnataka is like any other south indian restaurant like Sagar Ratna, Sree Ratnam, Naivediyam, Sarvana Bhawan, etc. and can be visited to have a once in a while south indian lunch.
Scarletnite
I found their thali to be quite filling, dosas and uttapas are nice but would not recommend the bise billi bhath or lemon rice, not up to mark. Average South Indian food. But one of the only sit down joints in Palam vihar and around where you'll get tea coffee along with breakfast.
Arpita Raghavendra
I ordered food from here through swiggy so my rating will be based only on tatse of food. The packaging was excellent and also the tatse of food was great. But there was some confusion with the quantity. Me being a South Indian would expect sambar to be more in quantity but got less. Rest all was fine. The taste was good but not of Karnataka cuisine taste. If the name could be changed to just South Indian thali then it makes more sense. So kannadigas who seek this place for thalis should not expect much cos Karnataka cuisine taste completely different and also names of dishes are different.
Spicyvein
This place is famous for South Indian. Last week I tried out their Chinese menu and I am in love with it . They have North Indian items as well . The prices are also pocket friendly. The quantity and the taste that they serve would not only fill your stomach but would also satisfy your taste buds.
Ghosh
Simply the best. You talk of their cleanliness/service time/food quality/staff/ambience/prices. This place is as good as your own kitchen serving delicious food which is good enough to eat. They have set their basics right. Being a south Indian restaurant, they haven't failed to impress in their north Indian menu as well.

There is no special dish which they are best at because whatever they serve is good enough. Even ice creams are great.

A must visit not once but atleast once a fortnight.

Good Job guys!!
Rajesh Khatri
I was looking for dosa because I had it long time before. Masala Dosa was so delicious, and what can I say about Sambhar is so good and coconut chutney was delicious. try this place.

Went to Karnataka for the first time on Saturday night. They are open late and even though it was close to their closing time, they were very nice and accommodating. We were able to order and get our food relatively quickly. The staff was so nice and friendly. the food was great too.
A great neighbourhood spot for lunch or dinner..
Priyanka Sawhney
The place is an amazing deal for a team lunch or a team treat. The options are pretty decent with an appropriate quantity for all the dishes. The taste is above average for the majority of dishes as a part of veg menu card. The service is fast and the staff is courteous and warm. Highly recommended for a team affair. Next time I will try South Indian for which the place is Exquisitely famous.
Mayank Taparia
The first South Indian restaurant that I visited in gurgaon and the experience was good. Decent place to have dinner with your family and friends. South Indian food is a must try at this place.
Rishi Pandya
I had a Karnataka thali along with my 2 south indian friends... Rice was not cooked well, rasam taste not good and not authentic... And much more...food quality 3/5.... Quantity 4/5.... Taste 2/5.... Hygiene 4/5... Ambiance 5/5... Time taken 5/5.... Overall 2/5.
Priyanshu Kedia
Names suggests south indian speciality, street vendors in sector 23 serve much better dosas then this place. would not recommend to anyone.
not a value to money also.
HariHaran Ramamoorthy
While the food was good, the beverages I ordered came in plastics covers like the road side tea stalls give tea in plastic covers. Restaurants like Karnataka can do a better job at it. Also the lime soda I ordered tasted more like lime juice rather than soda.
Amit Gupta
WI am a regular visitor at Karnataka restaurant but this visit was special since we could finally find neer dosa. 5 pieces of soft dosas with veg korma in a plate were really delicious. I don’t enjoy korma much so asked for sambhar. Also had tomato soup which I really enjoyed. Looking forward to next visit.
Sukhman Arora
Casual dine out place for a satiating meal with family or friends. The ambience is a typical south Indian restaurant. Food is well Cooked especially their uttapams. Dosas are crispy and tasty as well, and their filter coffee is good to try. Nothing fancy but good food.
Tanya Mishra
I absolutely love this place and it should be rated higher. It is priced well but moreover each dish in their menu tastes perfect. It is way better than any other South Indian restaurant.

Here are few things I would recommend of this place:
South Indian - ghee dosa (can even ask for panner filling and it tastes good! ), sambar vada, curd rice (again this is amazing, and a healthy option)
North Indian - yes! North Indian of this place is pretty good too. Best here is kadhai paneer which you can have with naan or pudina paratha
Chinese - chilly paneer

The filter coffee of this place is also great, and I love filter coffee so much. Best part is they give it out in the South Indian cups, that just adds to the taste.

The place has a simple sitting and a hard working staff. Their services are good with attention to hygiene . In terms of food I would say it is better than Om sweets, atleast out of the items I have tried. It’s a great place to go on an unimportant casual evening when you don’t wanna spend too much, and wanna have delicious Indian food.

Karnataka restaurant is located in sector 22 HUDA market just above Domino's. I have been there with family quite a number of times. They have a decent seating with 20-25 tables. Decor is carefully selected so South Indian feel starts getting in as soon as you take the stairs. I've tried most of the food like plain dosa, Masala Dosa, mysore Masala, idly, hakka noodles, bisebille bhaat, lemon rice, neer dosa, Veg Korma, tomato soup and few North Indian items. I find their food inconsistent in taste- sometimes better than most other options and sometimes just average or below average. Thia even applies to something as basic as sambhar. The only item which has always tasted good is hakka noodles. This time we ordered neer dosa which was really soft, light and delicious. Korma was tasty too. Tomato soup was hot, tasty and can definitely be ordered again. However, there seems to be no coordination amongst staff. Our dosa came first and soup later. Server had no clue why it happened. We literally ended up having soup in end. Based on my experience of last 6-8 visits, dosa, noodles, neer dosa, tomato soup are a thumbs up. Bisebille, lemon rice, pav bhaji strict no. North Indian food as per your discretion..not my favorite but taste can vary. #hereartigoes

The food quality is pathetic.. Price is not worth the quality expected i.e overpriced. The worst part is when asked to pack the rest over food for us to carry.. They packed just a 1/4 of the leftover hope they don't use it to serve in someone else's next Platting. PFA the packaged food which was expected to be thrice the quantity but.... So not a place to visit at all

One of the best South Indian serving food restaurant in NCR, though you do get a wide range of North Indian food as well which is equally good.
Authentic South Indian meals make this palce really special, ambiance is good, and restaurant is really pocket friendly. Best quality of food served that too at a veru reasonable prices.
If you are a foodie its a must go place for you.

Went for a Family get together and it was a disaster. Food is bad. Nothing was Tasty....They couldn't even get Tomato soup right. They served some thick Dal insted of Bhaji in Pao Sabji and on complaining just said Bhaji is over instead of not taking order in first place. The only thing eatable was Noodles on the whole list of items we ordered.

The south Indian served here is so proper.
south Indian platter, Mysore dosa and Dahi Wada are super awesome.
Only South Indian restaurant in Gurgaon that does justice to the south Indian food.

Stinking stale food, not fit to eat at all. All the delivered food thrown into garbage. Stale curd idli, masala chaas had turned bitter, sambhar was smelly

Ordered the north indian thali and rawa masala dosa. For a south Indian restaurant the north indian thali was amazing. Authentic dal makhani n shahi paneer.
Amazing taste and great service as always.
Way better than OM sweets.

The best South Indian chain. Love everything about their food. I’m a South Indian cuisine fan and I’ve tried a lot of South Indian restaurants. Found this one the best

You are the greatest restaurant for the south Indian cuisine might be one of the best in gurgaon but you need to improve on your north Indian dishes every dish has the same gravy

Karnataka Bhavan is a great place to have some South Indian dishes. It will satisfy your cravings for dosa or idli on a particular day. They serve North Indian, chinese and South Indian but they are known for their South Indian cuisine. They have their Main branch in Delhi which is very old and popular and serves the best South Indian in the town.
Ambience - 3/5
Food - 3/5
Nearby - Subway, Dominos, Wow Momos, Etc

Visited this place with Family for Lunch. The welcoming vibe of the Restaurant was overwhelming and the decor included traditional South Indian Artifacts. We ordered-
1. Karnataka South Indian Platter that Included a Masala Dosa, Idli, Vada, Sambar and Rava Kesari (Sweet) and tasted authentic.
2. Malabari Parantha served with Vegetable Korma which wasnt as tasty as we expected.
3. Aalu Naan Served with Vinegar soaked onions and mint chutney was a total delight.
It gets an overall rating of 3.5/5
Follow Utfal Arora (Mr. Gluttony) for more reviews!

We ordered maysore masaala dosa , was very nice and crispy, paneer butter masala, good taste, and kaju korma, very very nice. The food is much much beter ghan may other south indian restaurants in gurgaon. Little improvement is required in staff, they are little attentive, we ordered missi roti, but they ordered plan roti. Rest everything was fine. Good place to go with family.

Went to Karnataka recently and ordered one paneer dosa and malabar paratha + kurma. I really liked the kurma and found it to be better than that of naivedyam. dosa was decent, but the most lip-smacking thing was the red chutney the serve. Undoubtedly the best i've eaten at any south Indian restaurant. The only thing which did not meet our expectations was the malabar paratha. It was so hard and after a point it became difficult to chew. All in all its a good, pocket friendly restaurant and definitely one worth recommending.
Chenna Toast
A South-Indian food outlet which serves equally delicious North-Indian food.
I have tried almost everything in their menu and nothing has disappointed me at all yet. Filter coffee and Rawa masala dosa is a must try.
The staff is just as friendly as we Indians like it, they are polite and prompt.
Free advice: If you like to sip your morning coffee at a calm and cozy place and you are as lazy as I am to brew one, visit this place before 10 AM.

The food here is good. The idlis and vadas have small size. You will get 4 of the vadas or idlis in one plate.
The vadas are small but nice and crisp. And also the dosas are good. The only thing I did not like was that the sambhar was a bit sweet, which usually we North Indians don't like.

I have visited karnataka sector 22. south indian platter is not good. and also service is very delay. I have packed one south indian platter and it take more than 1 hour to pack this item. Last two times the food was not good. I will not recommended this outlet for food.

South Indian food is superb but they should work on North Indian food. North Indian thali was pathetic. Have tried south Indian there many times, every time it was awesome. But sorry for the North Indian.
