Review Mainland China - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Vrinda Vacher
Lovely Chinese Food served hot. We tried the Pan fried noodles in hot Garlic Sauce , which were really spicy ( not recommended for people who can't eat spicy food) even after requesting them to make it milder for us.Please consult the waiter before ordering. All in all the place is lively on weekends and the food is delicious.

This place is amazing! The menu may seem overpriced, but if you go for the buffet, which is 770 INR per head, you can get practically anything. It is a great value for money restaurant, and the food is also amazing. My favourite was the honey chilli potato. I look forward to coming back to Mainland China.
Ravi Shankar
Good place in sector 29. It is same like any other lists if mainland China. Service was quick with courteous staff. They serve some complementary starter and a welcome drink. Taste was really good , I tried mix vegetable in some sauce. Worth a visit if you are around this place.

The ambiance here is absolutely great , either a romantic dinner or a family dinner , everyone can come here and enjoy ! The food was delicious , there is a wide variety to choose from and the staff was totally A-class friendly and very helpful and respectable ! Amazing place to eat and I’m definitely going back ! Had been there many times. The alacart had good options. The ambience and gentry are amazing. Have been given complimentary sweet dish on every visit.
Bikash Kalita
Nice buffet. Good shrimps, dimsums are ok, veg fried is very good. A bit overdose of lemon grass in some dishes.
Sharwin
Delicious food as always..... Jus one thing.... The buffet main course on was..... Well. OK. Starters and desserts were amazing.
Somya Kapoor
One of the best to tantalise the taste buds. Good options for vegetarians. They have added more options of desserts too. Beats the other Chinese restaurant.
Anirudh Verma
Heard many time but when visited, the experience was unforgettable. This place is serving amazing Chinese with very good options. Usually crowded so you can book the place as well
Nakul Shrivastva
Real good Chinese taste and you can really have a different and better food when compared to other Chinese restaurants.
Ayushi Chakravorty
Presentation was very nice and the starters were great but the food is not recommended for people can’t survive spicy food. They prepare the food with speed.
Anuj Singh
The staff seemed disinterested in service since it was Diwali night when we went. This is understandable. Food was good.
Dhruv Arya
Awesome Chinese. Even for vegetarians. The only downside they are still not tied up with any online food delivery service. I hope they realise what they are losing by this.
Tanya Sharma
And more stars had the option been there. I love Chinese food and this chain has the best i've ever tasted

Poor service:(

Food was really good but please work on service label.... some how I felt ?

Not good place for fine dine option .. food was really good I ll suggest for delivery zone.
Himanshi
This is possibly amongst my favourite places serving authentic Chinese cuisine.

The service is super quick that you don’t even realise the interval between the order placed and the arrival of the yummy food.

We took the corner table with a hustling view on my right.

Our server was very helpful in suggesting us some of the dishes of our likeable taste.

We had ordered:-
General Tso’s chicken
Pan fried noodles, Cantonese style
Vegetable fried rice
Chocolate dome
Virgin mojito pitcher

We had a splendid family time!

•quantity-4/5
•quality 5/5
•value for money- 4/5
Recommended!

Food was good , ambience was nice ,Enjoyed with my friends ......vegetable in chilli plum sauce was very different and delicious dish ........
Sunita Roy Chowdhury
Good ambience, food is also above average taste wise and quality wise and also nutritionally good. Have choices with less oil and lot of fiber esp in vegetarian section. People wanting to eat out with friends yet want to keep calories in mind can visit mainland China any time, but have to be careful portion wise. Had ordered chilli teriyaki mushroom twice from the appetizer section, was simply amazing. Visit it if you wish to taste pure Chinese taste. In Sector 29 , Gurgaon, has a very big common parking lot , but could be a problem esp on Saturdays.
Hungerinthebelly
They charge handsomely for a repeat menu everytime you go there. This was the 3rd time I went there in last 3 months and disappointed to see same service loopholes and same menu everytime. I understand that a buffet dominated restaurant makes margins only on the basis of standardised offering but not so clearly visible alterations in the menu doesn't really attract the customers repeatedly.

Consistently after one round of starter serving, the second round takes a long time to arrive.

Even the desserts are virtually the same everytime you go there.

Definitely not visiting them for a long while and wouldn't even let colleagues decide on it as an option if I am party to the occasion.
Ridhi Gupta
I loveedd it! Food tastes so good. I ordered teriyaki chicken and siu mai dimsums, they tasted perfect. Not too spicy not too sweet. The balance was amazing. I would highly, highly recommend you all to go try their menu. I'll be back for more sure!

Also, i am a food blogger. Follow me on Instagram
@the_hogger_station

Ambiance of this place is good if you’re looking for a place to go with your family. It’s a subtle fine diner.

Food is extremely good. I always order chicken noodles with chilly chicken(gravy) and find it extremely good. Their soups are extremely good too.

Service is okay. It takes time for your food to arrive.
Divyansha
Recently went here for a team party and all I can say is we regretted it deeply.

The food is quite average and service is just not upto the mark...we had to wait almost 45 minutes only for the starters to come.

The ambience is decent.
Next time I want to have chinese it is better to head down to the Golden Dragon...atleast they will serve me well.

Quite disappointed.
Kalyani Biswas
The best authentic Chinese restaurant ever...all their preparations are awesome
It’s a usual goto place if we want to have Chinese food
We mostly order honey chilli potatoes and pan fried noodles
Akansha Rajput
Mainland China has certainly earned some name when it comes to chinese cuisine but this outlet seems to be going the other way round. Was here few days back with a friend and wasn't impressed with the food here. The flavours clearly seemed lacking and the service was a bit slow too.
Not sure If we would like to visit this restaurant again
Vishesh Dubey
Day long meetings got me starving. Went down to the restaurant for a late lunch with one of my friends. We asked for the menu and waiter handed over the menu to us with a warning that restaurant would close down in half an hour and he could only take the last order.
We were starving so didn't feel like going someplace else and ordered whatever we could have decided within those five minutes Mr. Waiter had given us.
The food was served after twenty minutes and approximately 18 minutes later the waiter again turns up and asks us to wrap up our lunch in next five minutes or he'll have to pull the plates. The restaurant was also courteous enough to pull down the curtains, start wrapping up even as we were sitting.
Brilliant example of hospitality must say. When I escalated this to the manager he was courteous enough to accept the mistake and offered waiving off our bill which I did not allow him to do anyways. Paid the bill in full and left the food untouched. Never coming back to Mainland China again, won't recommend the place to anyone
Dhruv Khosla
went there for lunch, but it seems they have lost their touch lately, cos I remember having mainland china food at other locations, it used to be good, but somehow, it seems the chef is new. Food isnt that great anymore here.
Varunj Bansal
Very bad service they will take 40 mins just to serve starters and staff doesn't know what's the menu for buffet. Food will be served with break of ten mins after you finish and if you want repeat then just keep waiting. Taste is also average. Not recommended.
Meghna Baruah
Been a while I came to this place.
The food was pretty great though
Braised crabmeat with pepper and garlic : This was probably one of the best crab dishes I've tried. Minced meat in slight gravy. Tatses best with rice.
Sichuan chicken with peanuts and chili's : As the name suggests, this came with a lot of red chillies and pepper with pieces of little crispy chicken.

Oh Mainland China, what has happened to you. Visiting you now is like seeing a Bollywood actress from the 80’s now in dire straits. There was a time when your golden fried prawns were the talk of the town. Even recently, you had some good enjoyable lunch buffets. But now the food is rather typical Chinese, the service is marginal, the sitting in the Sec 29 shop is a bit crammed. What is rather tiring is the 20-year old super-Indianized Chinese fare. Hello, it’s 2017. Do reinvent yourself.
Sana Anjum Siddiqui
We had taken non-veg buffet. They serve wide variety in starters and soups. You want to go again if you taste food here once.

Ice cream was yummm...i scooped it multiple times. :p

Awesome experience. Also ambiance is great.
Sankalp Mishra
Overpriced chinese food.Service was very bad.As we reached in restaurant and sat on table, all the plates and spoons were stained .....Than they replaced all plates ....After that a couple sitting on a next table found a Worm (Keeda) in their noodles. So if you are interested in eating worms in non veg please visit this place.
Yesha Mittal
So, I realized this place doesn't just go by name. The food is really good. We had ordered a Hakka noodles, munchoorian(goes by some other name in the menu) a hot and sour soup, leechee quencher and mint storm. Soup and mint storm were not good.
Noodles and munchoorian were great. Totally loved them!
The other thing which I liked a lot about the place was their hospitality. One of the attendants, while cleaning our soup bowls, noticed that I had left almost all of my soup. He asked me if I did not like it and he will get me a new soup. That was a very sweet gesture. He further added that I should have myself complained about it much earlier.
The soup he got me was really nice.
Overall I would say my experience was good. Good place for a family dinner.
Swapnil Gautam
i simply love this place for their quality service and great chinese and thai food which i dont see any where else in market. but little expensive for daily eaters. prawns are must try.
Utsav Baidya
Been here twice, and I love the chinese food served here, its spicy and made with taste as I like... plus the desserts served was too good ! Overall, would recommend this place !
Pearl
The one trusted fine dining option in Gurgaon guaranteed to always serve great quality food ! Love this place, visit atleast once or twice a month.

Food - 5/5 Great veg and non veg options but delicate flavors, nothing over done. Only thing to be improved is dessert choices

Price 4/5 Very good prices for fine dining

Drinks 4/5

Ambiance 5/5

Service 5/5 Very helpful staff both in Mainland China Gurgaon and Powai (Mumbai)

Menu Items Ordered:
1) Pan fried prawn noodles
2) Drums of heaven
3) Chilli chicken
4) Sizzling brownie with hot chocolate sauce
5) Lychees with ice cream
6) Mocktales

Pros:
1) Nice ambiance.
2) Noodles tasted yummy.
3) Mocktails were refreshing.

Cons:
1) Service was little late.
2) Expensive.
3) Slight smell in chilli chicken, but it could be due to the Chinese flavours.
Irisgao8008
good condition,fish is good
taste, hot and sour soup is similar like China
It's really not easy to keep the taste , maybe there is Chinese chief

We ( 2 person ) visited the place on thursday night for dinner. Place was empty. Sitting was comfortable and staff was courteous. Music was light. We ordered Sweet Corn Soup (1/2), Hakka Noodles and Fried Vegetables with Brown Gravy.Taste of food was not great. I like the soup only. Bill come to around Rs. 1200 including all taxes. We got 15% corporate discount as well ( Don't forget to take your ID Card if you are visiting the place). Personally I am not fan of Chinese Food, still food was not tasty. Overall will not recommend to visit the place.

Overall Rating : 2.5/4
Taste : 2/5
Ambience : 3/5
Service :3/5
Price : 3/5
Rohit Sawhney
Pathetic a simple word sums it at all. If you cant make soup and noodles why do you even call yourself a Chinese restaurant. Top that with bad service. Everything here was lousy. Strictly avoid even if ur dying with hunger.
Abhishek Punia
Went to mainland china with family yesterday and one thing which was really surprising that they have reduced the quantity significantly, one order of any dish wont even serve one individual, when we were re-ordering, suddenly delivery speed increased, as if they had sensed that it is going to be that ways.
while staff was responsive, i wish they had proper quantity and quality.
Manik Arora
I think these guys get free supplies of Oil. That is why their food is so oily.
Average taste with lots of oil.
Say no to Mainland. There are other good options for food in Sector 29.
Avinash Dhingra
Well, with so many new places that serve authentic chinese dishes , this place need to invest more in food experiments since they were once the pioneers in this segment. Though there was nothing bad about the visit in food department, I somehow felt that I had better chinese at other places. Service could have been better. Prices are still ok.
Richa Pandey
It's the best when it comes to Chinese food. Everything is up to the mark, be it the ambience, taste of the food, service by the staff. If you love Chinese, this is the best place.
Akanksha Mathur
Mainland China is one of our go-to place for "Authentic Chinese food" as me and my husband both are Chinese lover. Their buffet is really good with variety of delicious food items.Good ambiance, nice staff with a great smiling faces. Our all time favourite restaurant where we can opt for buffet. A place where we can step in with our eyes closed. Great place...keep it up guys 👍🏻
Khushbu Agrawal
Average food at that price. The food no where tasted close to other Mainland China outlets. With the amount 2 of us ended paying we could definitely have had a better meal and drinks. The guava mocktail seemed dated with a pungent taste. To top it all the fresh lime soda was equally bad. Seriously someone can go wrong with a lemon soda!! I would not suggest people to play their bet for Chinese cuisine here.
Augur
First things first- the food they serve is NOT authentic Chinese/Cantonese as many people claim in their reviews but thankfully it's not the sino-ludhianvi fare either. Had a very satisfying lunch buffet at a very reasonable price- 800 per head isn't bad at all for what they offer. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a pretty decent and total value for money deal.
Can't help but mention that I literally had to scream at a server to stop dumping the starters (they serve them at the table) in our plates even after politely telling him to stop numerous times. It seemed like a pathetic strategy where they want to stuff you with dimsums and fried appetisers so one doesn't have much appetite left for the mains.
Mudit Anand
It's an authentic Chinese restaurant you can see lot of Chinese people dining over here. Must try dish is the mi-hoon rice noodles. They are delicious and unique and value for money. The place is located at a posh place therefore the crowd and the ambience is generally great. Bit pricey, but 2-3 times visit a month is a must.
B. Roy
Had non veg lunch buffet . Service was good , few items in starter were ok and liked only the fried rice and noodles. Some how the experience was not so satisfying
Karan Malik
Visited this restaurant on friday... we ordered one chilli garlic noodles one exotic vegetables n tofu in mountain chili sauce...one fiery sapo chicken in clay pot....we had normal expectations from this place but we were left disappointed. Food was below average in taste we didn't find anything good in their food... staff was courteous...other than this everything was bad... did nit like at all....
Mani Thilakan
With lots of hope and hunger for awsome chinese visited this place with my parents....but to my disappointment the food quality has gone down to the drain...staff is not nice mostly confused to what the dish is being asked...very thanda response to my dissatisfaction towards the meal...all in all u can skip this place...its lost its charm
Vinay Poddar
Went for dinner with friends on Sunday night, ordered veg and non-veg main course, along with non-alcoholic drinks.
How this place has gone to the dogs! I remember how MC used to be our #1 choice for Chinese in Sector 29. Not anymore! The staff can barely pronounce the dish names, let alone make recommendations. Very Desi feel to the entire place.
All items very extremely spicy, despite having specified not to do so while ordering.
Even the drink was nothing like the description.
NEVER AGAIN...!
Sneha Kapoor
I always enjoy mainland China Buffet they have varieties of deserts sweets fruits which is a plus thing for me I love their prawn starter fish is great too noodles 👍, I love everything about mainland China buffet
Tina Mehta
AMAZING PLACE. GREAT BUFFET SPREAD AND AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD . SERVICE WAS ALSO GRT . ONE THING THAT IS GOOD ABOUT MAINLAND CHINA, THEY ARE MAINTAINING THEIR STANDARD.OVERALL A GOOD PLACE TO VISIT.
Shilpi Saurabh
It was a holiday special family lunch for us. One can not ask more than this spread of buffet with fantastic food. Service compliments food, humble and cate taking servers. Such a huge buffet with unbelievable low price. most important is that the crowed is very nice and there are even chinese people. it certify that the quality is superior. Its a must visit restaurant. Happy Eating.
Runal Dahiwade
Bad service
Unresponsive staff and captain
Half decent food
Air conditioning is malfunctioning. It's was freezing and the staff didn't bother to address it despite 3 requests.
Ved Agrawal
Preparation were awesome, had buffet and it was best Chinese experience!!
Being vegetarian i was bit skeptical on taking buffet but they did not disappoint me. They had good number of vegetarian dishes. starters were the best part of entire meal.
Abhishek Ghosh
Food was ok.. nothing fancy.. tasted better Chinese food in other mainland china outlet

But i dont understand why they are still levying service charge compulsory in their bills... as per the govt rules it should not be compulsory.. i guess thy dnt care abt govt rules or think their customers are stupid
Harshita
One thing that this place will definitely give you is: "Authentic Chinese food"! Their buffet is really good with variety of delicious items. Very nice decor and ambience and also great service! This place is a must for those who want to eat authentic Chinese food!
Kushal Bajaj
The worst experience ever. The costliest restraunt with third class chinese. I specially loved the liit with no alcohol. It will bang your buck.
Kamna Kartik
Mainland China is one of our go-to places for Chinese food. The absolute must-have appetizer is the All time favourite Crackling Spinach. We love the dish so much we usually order two portions. If it were possible, I'd have just that for a meal. Its perfectly crunchry, crispy, and incredibly tasty. The lettuce wraps are fresh, textural and delicious. All the dimsums and soups are worth a try. One of their best dishes is the Lotus- leaf wrapped Fried Rice, which is incredibly fragrant and aromatic, and equally as delicious with slivers of almonds throughout. You could eat it without any curry or gravy, its that good. They do surprisingly great desserts as well, including the coconut caramel custard, sizzling brownie, and rambutan with ice-cream. One of the the signature must-visits
Gowtham
Tasted Sweet and spicy crispy chicken and chicken in black pepper sauce in my first ever Mainland China experience . Excellent ambience and awesome taste .
Food First
A place where i can step in with my eyes closed. Never disappoints. Rooster dimsums with mustard sauce is a mandate. Great variants of fish, tougue storming flavours put you in a zone you don't want to come out of. Great place for family, date and even an office get together.
Only catch, The restrooms need some serious looking after. :/ please fix that.
Sumit Sahgal
I had a good time at Mainland China. Food is not as great as you would expect from this caliber place but service and atmosphere were great. I would recommend if you like chinese food..
Deepak Jagga
Bad food i have ever had..... Manager has no sense.. That how to behave with guests........ They charge us 500 plus taxes for buffet... And almost all items were cold dere
Sushmita Kaushal
I loved their buffet! The variety wasn't much but the food tasted heavenly! Compliments to the chef! The ambience is reserved and peaceful. Staff is very friendly and hospitable.
Delhiciouss
It's decent Chinese food nothing spectacular. The portions are good sized and taste ok. There is nothing that really stands out in the cuisine. The soups were ok. Over all if you want an uneventful dinner you could consider this joint
Namit Kataria
Its a good restaurant where you can opt for buffet as well as al' acarte order. Food is really good but one dish was having over powering flavour of lemon leaf. Good ambience but the placement of tables and chairs can be improved. Nice staff they are going to apply all there efforts for guest services and that too with a great smiling faces. Being a person from the same industry I can understand how much effort you people are putting in. Keep it up guys..
Pratik D
Food quality - 3.5
Ambience - 3
Service quality - 3
Overall experience - 3.5

We ordered schezuan babycorn, veg corn and potato in tsing hoi style and mainland vegetable Hakka noodles. Food quality was average and then noodles were packed with lots of raw onions. It's a one time visit outlet.
Shuvam Sengupta
I have been going to this chain for a decade now. But lately there food quality and taste have been under par. Last two experience have been such that I have decided not to go back again. At least until I hear they have changed for better.
Alok Priya Saurabh
The food is amazing. We had a great lunch with friends visiting from south. The staff is happy to give you some amazing suggestions on what to try. Highly recommend atleast one amazing meal with friends and great food.
Foodlove
Was around this area and hungry much too. Tried lunch buffet meal here. Rates are fine. Nothing fancy. Everything was normal. Staff was active.
Tanuj Bhatia
Tried the lunch buffet at the famous mainland china. The buffet overall was quite decent at the price that it was offered. There was no wow moment with any of the dishes but then all the dishes were good also.

Liked the chicken and fish in starters and similarly the chicken bean sauce and veg rice were good combination.
Nishtha Khandelwal
I was in mood of having good Chinese so I land on to this pathetic place.aweful and tasteless food.manchurian dumplings were so bad that I have to trash it as well as the chilly garlic noodles.i will never suggest this place to anyone for chinese
Mohita Chaudhry
We did a home delivery today. The food was anything but the Mainland China flavour & taste we know of. Awful food.
Seemed like we were having some road side dhaba chinese!!! One of the chicken main course dishes, which MC is so famous for -General Tao's chicken, the gravy of it was tasting like some fish based gravy. The rice was hard. The sui-mai was fried when its supposed to be steamed and the soups could pass off as curdled cornflour in milk....
Leave alone a bad meal, we are stunned and shocked at the quality, taste & overall experience with the food! Mainland China better buck up...competition is around the corner.
Jasmin
Looking for a dinner place in Sector 29 that allows kids we walked into Mainland China. It was a disaster i must say. The General Tao's chicken which is a speciality of the place was so salty that we had to return it. The replacement was equally bad with an overflow of salt. The saving grace was the Eight treasure soup which was made well. I am giving 2.5 as they didn't charge us for the chicken.
Sachin Sahni
I have been here few times in the past and never been disappointed with the food or the service. the service can be a bit lacking at times but not that bad either. The food is good but there is a still a room of improvement. Not too spicy like other chinese restaurants either. The pricing is reasonable as well. worth going
Arushi Thapar
Mainland China is my most favourite place for Chinese. Have a good time everytime I visit. Tried the Gurgaon outlet for the first time. Nice decor and great ambience. Good staff with timely service, only thing which I didn't like that they served us all dishes except one which we served ourselves.
Had tried veg dimsum platter and Exotic vegetables and tofu in mountain Chilli sauce. Simply loved it. Had also ordered chicken in black pepper sauce, broccoli corn and watercheshnut in Chilli bean sauce with steamed rice and mainland vegetable Hakka noodles.
Thank you Mainland china for a good experience at each visit.
Mukesh Kothiyal
Noodles were a bit overcooked. dimsum was okay. Staff was helpful but food was not tasty.

Ambience - nothing to talk home about. Decent but nothing special.
Over all ok
Aadi
This restaurant is a great "find" -- better than expected in every way. The decor is excellent -- plenty of space between tables, good quality in every way. The food is authentic Chinese -- not the Indianized version of Chinese often found in India. Service was really good -- attentive and helpful. Prices are good value -- not cheap by Indian standards, but very reasonable by Western standards.Tasty Food with awesome ambiance. Truly awesome experience with generous staff. Classy place with variety in food.
Jagdish Luthra
We went there for the sizzling brownie !!
And leme tell you we were more then satisfied
The sizzling brownie was just awesome
Anurag Sahay
Mainland China is probably my go-to place for delicious food, of what is called the "Indian Chinese" variety. The ambiance is decent, and the food is great - I especially like how they manage to take something I absolutely hate (spinach) and convert it into something I order virtually every time I visit (Crackling Spinach). I highly recommend it, even though I normally eat only non-vegetarian food when I'm out.
As26ashley
Starters are stale, the waiters are confused, and the overall experience is next to abysmal.
My visit here was the first time I've ever called for the bill after starter so I could take my family elsewhere.
Lord oh lord, get your shit together.
Tanaya Banerjee
Great place for Chinese food. Their starters were very nice and their dumplings are actually very good. Would request them to start buffet for dinner as well.
Aayush Mehrotra
Wok tossed hakka chicken noodles with taos favourite chicken portion is a good blend to try, the chicken is soft and perfectly cooked with thick gravy
Soumya D
Good as usual but would not recommend the buffet menus OK instead go for the a la carte. There's a huge difference in taste and flavor among both the food type.
Musfera Javed
I am a fan of Mainland China since forever. It is my all time rescue for chinese cuisine. Though, I wasnt much amused by this particular outlet. Food is good, mu crabmeat soup wasnt very happening. I loved the wok tossed chicken and sliced chicken with kaffir lime. Dimsum platter and wontons are a favourite. Ambiance is good but there is scope to improvise. Overall a fine experience.
Rajan Kapoor
Excellent Service! The food is good too. Must try the assorted dimsums platter. The black pepper sauce and dry chilli condiments were yumm!
Swati
Great place for Chinese food. Their soups are delicious and portion size is also quite big. In love with their lemon coriander soup. Have visited this particular outlet once and was a nice comfortable experience.
Prabeer Deepak
Awesome Chinese
If one could eat the best Chinese this is the best place.. The aroma and the environment is perfect for a dinner ... Nicely attained by sunil
Ordered chilly chicken 🍗
Tadka Lover
Ambiance is good ... but food is below average... Bland food with no flavours and tooo harsh on pocket...!! I would never recommend it to anyone!!
Amasikha Dey
I tried their buffet for the first time and I loved it! Great variety in starters, and especially the fish and crab were fresh and flavoursome. The lemon chicken soup gets a thumbs up! The starters, ranging from fish to chicken and prawn, including dimsums were yummy. The crab in the main course was really well cooked. Would love to go back. Btw, liked their songs playlist :)
Brijesh Arora
..everything was in right proposrtion light and ambience.... Food was also nice... Polite staff and good service.. we ordered wok tossed chicken hakka noodles which was amazing....
Aarti Minhas
It was not up to the mark,,,food quality was ok types...
we had gone for buffet but variety is very less for vegetarians,
overall experience was bad not a good option in sector 29 with 1600/- for 2,
Amit Chakravorty
I had previously visited this chain in Hyderabad, Mumbai, chennai,Bangalore and Kochi . this was by far the worst experience. The service was so pathetic that the waiters had no idea about when the next dish would come. I had taken the buffer. Got 2pcs of starters in the first 15min followed by sane 2 pcs after 10min.
I request the management to organise the staff and understand why are they doing it this way.
Food was great but not much of it was available nor refilled in buffet.
Sourabh Cool
(Just Awesum) was told by My friend,
visited mainland china yesterday night, with full stomach, when we entered there restro was almost full,
well we decided to drink the fresh beer, the chilled beer with jiangs chicken starter, & juicy chicken crystal dimsum was outstanding, chicken hakka noodles with sliced chicken in sichuan chilli sauce was also great combination, sizzling browniee in dessert made the meal complete. very courteous staff & management.
my friend also became fan of Mainland china.

Thanx
Sushmitha
Went for the lunch buffet but ended up having ala cart. My friend had the buffet though - the fish dishes and the vegetarian dumplings were very tasty.
My orders were steamed chicken and veg rice. Food was simple and nice. The chicken was well cooked and soft. Though I had ordered a small portion of the rice, quantity was more than enough. The portions are in general generous. The lotus wrap rice is a must try too !!!
Slurrrpfoodie
lovely food...good ambience...polite staff... reasonable rates...good variety...what else you want... i loved their sweetcorn soup as i am fond of sweet food but it was little too sweet for an average foodie. Keep serving lovely food guys..

Its been quite a long time that i haven't visited mainland china. Was in Gurgaon with friends and decided to visit this outlet. All the Mainland china franchises have good service and offers quality Chinese food. And here also the same thing, the service was good, staff was well trained and polite. The decor was pretty standard as it is across all mainland china outlets.

I wss the only non vegetarian among my friends. As i was in the minority I ordered a bit less as i can't share my food with any one.
Tried the following things :

Hot and sour soup : I have always liked the soups of mainland china, the spiciness and the sourness wss well balanced.

Diced chicken with pepper and ginger : Which was pretty tasty. It wasn't that spicy though.

Mainland Hakka Noodles: which was excellent in taste, the quality of the noodles was also very good.

Overall rating.
Ambience 3/5
Service 4/5
Taste 4/5
Pocket friendliness 3/5
Mandavi Sharma
If your a fan of Chinese food, then one of the good options that you have in your city is this. You can choose from high calorie food to light food yet enjoy your meal. You have the people to help with choosing you meal for the day. According to you taste and choice.
Momi
Mainland China has never disappointed me. I have been there atleast 8 times now. Whether it be the prawns, lamb or chicken everything tastes perfect.Every time I go there I order something different. And that something different has always been relishing.
PS: If you like spicy food do try the hunan prawns.
Ankita Mishra
My experience there was average.
Superb nice place .
I order there and try but I was not disappointed from quality of food..!!!
I will be visit once again ...!!!!
My score rating's to this place overall, 3.5...!!!!
Aloktp82
As mainland China is well know for its quality of food but this outlet is failed to maintain the quality as mainland China standard.it is totally waste of Money.

This outlet of mainland china really depreciates the brand value. Food is really bad now and so is the service. I happen to have a discount coupon which I wanted to redeem. The bill got generated with full amount and taxes and then they subtracted the discount. No dear, no one's a fool!! You subtract the discount and then calculate taxes on the remaining amount. Clever, arn't they!!??

This particular branch of mainland China has crossed all the limits of what we say as worst food. Bad service, bad food , loads n loads of mosquitos, unhygienic place. Regarding the food, I ordered Singaporean rice noodle which according to them is chilli garlic noodles. From this you can make out what quality food they serve. Extremely disappointed.

This is an outlet which is a distant relative of its predecessors. Located amidst the bustling restaurants of Sector 29, this one is a crowd puller.

It has a nice buffet spread. The items are nicely done too. The non-veg section though coud have been a little elaborate. The taste of the food is nice (though as I said “is a distant relative of its predecessors”).

Still I would say to have authentic chinese food, this is still one of the best of its kind chain anywhere.

I like mainland china. This is the 3rd or 4th branch that I've been to. Very standard across board. You can trust em to do a good job on most stuff, nothing extraordinary though.

I order more or less the same stuff at all of em. The Sichuan Chicken with peanuts and smoked chillis is always brilliant. I almost always get two of those.

The 8 treasure soup is sensational. Both veg and chicken.

The pan fried chicken noodles in hot garlic sauce were a knockout.

Tried the veg Nasi Goreng this time, it was alright for a fried rice, not quite good enough for a Nasi Goreng, lacked the typical Indonesian flavours that go into the dish.

The assorted vegetables in basil sauce were pretty good.

Never ordered before (at Mainland) but decided to try Darsan with ice cream here this time, it was very good and very different. They added basil leaves to the Darsan and made it quite the winner amongst Darsans. Good job.

Visited this place on Saturday after a tiring day at college. This place serves buffet, which doesn't seem very impressive as it comes with very limited options of appetisers. But can overall be given a 3/5.
This place is extremely hyped but didn't really stand out for us.
This place is all about Chinese cuisine but I didn't really like the way the dishes are prepared which is either too spicy or just sweet.
A lack of flavours is definitely evident.
I wouldn't suggest it to be the finest places to dine if you are in sector 29 but if you are looking for a Chinese buffet on a hot afternoon this place is your ultimate destination.
The tsing hoi chicken is a must try.
This place has a fairly nice ambience along with a very welcoming staff.
We give it a 3/5 overall

Soup was nice . Service o.k.
Coming to desserts , ice cream . No coffee which sucks . Have to visit a nearby coffee shop now.
Take a call .
Cheers

I have a fairly decent impression of Mainland China. Not this one
To start with this is a franchise. And the cooking and service is not up to MC standards. Had the buffet. Dimsums were low on salt. The fish, both appetiser and main course, was bland. And the dessert was truly pathetic. Chinese tea was missing
On the plus side, the soup was excellent. But by the end of an otherwise disastrous meal, it was an almost forgotten memory

Horrible Chinese food. Bland and tasteless. I went here with family but food and cold hospitality was a big turn off. Its an overrated restaurant all over India. We Indians generally don't like the Chinese they serve. Pls improvise !

If you're looking for hot Chinese gravy served in a hot pot .... look no further. The portions are good for 2 people to share and the ambience is pleasant.

This chain is one of those which started authentic Chinese food revolution in Delhi NCR which was surviving on Yo! China. First one being at Cyber City. Obviously a bit expensive on pocket when you come out of the shadows of Yo China but definitely worth it. It's been a while since I visited this place; however, my hazy memory tells me that they had reduced their quantities and increased their prices. They should be really careful taking steps when and work on their strategy when newer and better joints like Mamagoto are eating up their clientele. Still a good place to go for Chinese.

Good Chinese place which remains scantly crowded. Guess Mainland cannot command the premium in dilli where Chinese is offers in every mom and pop restaurant.
Known widely for it's close to original flavours of chinese cuisine, Mainland China is a must visit. It is one of the few places, where you'd feel satisfied with a bowl of soup because of the aroma and lip smacking light flavors. It loses a little on ambience which could be made better given the innovative interiors that we find in restaurants across the area. After all Good food seems better if kept in a great room.
