Review Under The Neem - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

This place is awesome! It gets a perfect 5/5. The atmosphere is super cool, with lots of nice spots for pictures. There's a fun play area for kids, and I really liked the giant chess board you can walk on. You can choose to sit inside or outside, whichever you like. The food is tasty, but it's a bit pricey for the amount you get on your plate. Still, because the place is so nice and the vibe is great, spending a little extra once in a while is worth it. I'm definitely going back for another visit!

A1! Perfect 10! Ambience is perfect, with lovely click worthy nooks n corners. Sufficient play area for kids. Loved the walkable chess board. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available depending on ones preference. Food - tasty but quite small portion sizes for the given prices. So it's definitely on the expensive side. But for the experience and ambience, it's worth splurging on once in a while. Will I visit again - definitely!

It’s a very lovely cafe located in midst of a beautiful property. Really loved the ambience, design and decor of the place. Very cozy and lovely place. Service is also good and staff is very polite. The food taste was average but definitely worth the visit. It’s a bit heavy on the pocket though! ;)

What a stunning property nestled within Karma Lake Lands. The tranquility here was simply unparalleled. The standout feature of this cafe was its welcoming attitude towards pets. The serenity of the place was truly remarkable. From the exquisite pathways to the culinary delights, from the warm hospitality to the tasteful interior design, and the inviting outdoor seating – everything was flawlessly executed. The staff displayed remarkable generosity. This is an absolute must-visit destination.

Nestled near the Manesar toll plaza, the enchanting "Under the Neem" restaurant offers a transcendent dining experience that seamlessly fuses ambiance, flavors, and hospitality. The outdoor seating area invites patrons to unwind in serene surroundings, setting the stage for a remarkable culinary journey. The menu's star attractions are the Chinese platter, non-veg chicken platter, and Lebanese platter, each meticulously crafted to showcase a symphony of tastes. The non-veg chicken platter elevates comfort food to an art form with its succulent textures and aromatic spices. The Lebanese platter, a tantalizing fusion of herbs and spices, offers a passport to Middle Eastern gastronomy. Complementing the culinary ensemble is a selection of non-alcoholic beverages that add a refreshing touch to the experience. And as the grand finale, the Pann Kulfi steals the show with its traditional charm and innovative flair. "Under the Neem" isn't just a restaurant; it's a canvas where culinary artistry meets heartfelt hospitality. The confluence of calming ambiance, a diverse palette of flavors, and attentive service creates a dining haven that's both memorable and enchanting. For those seeking more than just a meal, "Under the Neem" delivers a sensory-rich voyage into the world of taste and tranquility.

this place is very calm. Trust me when I say that the vibe in the air and the calmness make it more awesome. The food is Rajasthani, with almost the same taste, but the sitting area and the view are breathtaking. We tried Indian food there and found it really tasty. The perfect spicing and great texture This was a little far from my place, but we planned to get a cab. Only one negative experience: it was very difficult to find a cab here at 10 p.m. Try to come by your own vehicle or else pre-book a cab (smart choice).

Really liked this place. A good place to enjoy a nice and tasty meal with family. Vibe is awesome and so is the ambiance. Alcohol is not served so that is plus in my opinion. We ordered chicken biryani and Makhni dal. Taste was good and portion size is also good. Only thing I didn’t like was the pricing of coke tin. 300 for a coke!! That was too much but otherwise It was a nice experience. Parking is not a problem! Definitely recommend for ppl in and around gurgaon.

Blissful experience. They have their own organic garden, the atmosphere is so peaceful. A wholesome countryside vibe with great food.

This was our second time we have visited Under the neem. I would say that the service is improved compared to the last visit experience. The tikka plater was really good and tasty and the chicken burger named Mobster or something like that was not a good choice for me. Overall atmosphere is great for someone who needs some calm nature vibes away from the hectic city life. I recommend this place. Menu needs to be upgraded.

Great ambience and lively place to enjoy the scenic beauty on a lively day. There are games and play area for kids and adults. Loads of greenery and sparkling clean air quality added a special feather. Outside dinning place is very vibrant. Food is good. Their special nimboli soup is a must try.

This is a beautiful cafe located in Karma Lakelands. It offers a unique vibe with alluring indoor and outdoor sitting. They have a wide variety of foods on their menu.

Nice place on the outskirts of Gurgaon. The society is extremely posh surrounded by greenery. Booking in advance is mandatory. Seating options are available in a cottage plus outdoors. Limited menu. The quality of the food is great, ingredients were fresh. On the expensive side. Opt for this restaurant when you want to go on a long drive and beyond the hustle bustle of the city life.

Beautiful place to visit with friends and family. Kids friendly place. Food was tasty. Awesome service. But it’s an open place so don’t forget to carry mosquitoes repellent or wear full sleeve clothes to kids. For photography it is amazing. I had an amazing experience.

I have shared a a few words on Karma Lakelands which includes a review about Under the Neem. So, I visited this place with my family. The food was delicious, the staff was really helpful, the place was quite cosy and catered for about 20-30 people which is quite okay since the seating was distanced. Visiting there had been really refreshing for us. It was like this one day vacation for us where our kids could enjoy in the play area and we could enjoy the property at our own pace. I'd highly recommend reserving a table and paying a visit with your family/friends the next weekend. Great ambience and decent enough food. We ordered some classics - cappuccino, caesar salad and a standard green pizza. No complaints with the food but nothing beats their ambience. In the middle of lush greens, the place is nothing short of a fairytale place to have food and enjoy it too. The food could have been better but their ambience made up for that. Exotic locations with amazing Ambience, sumptuous food as well. Enjoyable place to visit with friends and family. Beautiful landscaping!! A must visit place, it is so beautiful and the view is breathtaking, it is almost like another city in Gurgaon, the food was as good as the view, we had bruschetta and Chicken Carbonara (white sauce pasta) do try, , it was more towards the spiritual base, the fragrance was amazing, and they have Human chess and carrom boards as well, a must visit place. One advise would be please download the directions beforehand, you might lose internet connectivity after you enter the property. Highly recommended place. Must go for it💯❤️ With impeccable service, great ambience, warm and comfortable interiors, a welcoming environment and a scrumptious menu, we recommend you to try them out soon. 😋Taste:- 5/5 📽Presentation:- 5/5 🎶Music & Ambience- 5/5 📔Delivery - 5/5 🛋 Seating- 5/5 💸Value for Money: 5/5 Also join me on Instagram @Foodie_HR26

This place is just beautiful. Ambience is comfortable and perfect for family outing or for a date. Food is very tasty. Majority of food is cooked from own grown veggies which they grow nearby itself. Hence food quality is very good. Food portion is also sufficient in accordance with pricing. They have outside sitting also. Service is quick , staff is polite

My recent visit to "Under the Neem" with my special someone was an absolutely enchanting experience. This secluded spot, nestled amidst nature's embrace, provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic getaway. The location's popularity necessitates prior booking, but let me assure you, it's worth every bit of effort. Upon arriving, we were immediately captivated by the serene beauty that surrounded us. The towering neem trees formed a lush canopy, creating a soothing ambiance and offering respite from the sun's rays. The dappled light filtering through the leaves added a touch of magic to the scene, making it feel like a hidden paradise. The attention to detail in crafting the setting was evident. Comfortable seating arrangements were carefully placed, ensuring privacy and intimacy. Soft cushions, adorned with vibrant floral patterns, added a touch of elegance and comfort. The soft breeze carried the fragrance of blossoming flowers, further enhancing the romantic atmosphere. The staff at Under the Neem were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, ensuring that every moment was special. The service was prompt and unobtrusive, allowing us to savor our time together undisturbed. As we savored our meal, we were treated to a delightful culinary experience. The menu featured a range of delectable dishes, each prepared with finesse and presented with artistic flair. The flavors were exquisite, tantalizing our taste buds and leaving us craving for more. Under the Neem is truly a haven for romance, providing an idyllic setting for couples seeking a peaceful escape from the bustling city. The meticulous attention to detail, combined with the natural beauty of the location, creates an atmosphere that is both enchanting and intimate. I wholeheartedly recommend making prior reservations at Under the Neem for an unforgettable experience. Whether it's a special occasion or simply a desire to spend quality time with your loved one, this hidden gem beneath the neem trees is sure to leave an indelible mark on your heart.

Excellent must visit restaurant. Ambience is good but food was awesome. Better if they have more veg options

The boulevard Mediterranean platter was great.. veg Pesto and all veggies pizza was also amazing. Oreo shake is nice and thick and so was the cold coffee.

Both the iced teas however were a little under the bar!
Great ambience, hospitality and vibe! Would love to go again! :)
Great ambience, great staff, good food.
I had lunch here with my girlfriend on her birthday. This place is very beautiful, calm and you can spend entire evening just sitting outside or roaming in the greens around.
We ordered smoothies, chaat platter and pesto pasta. Everything was delicious. Pasta had a little extra salt, so the restaurant immediately took it back. They also arranged for a very sweet and heartfelt birthday gesture. Kudos to the staff who was very supportive and on their toes - Himanshu, Mahesh and Manager Gomes

So in love with the place. Superb ambience and amazing service. We had a large gathering but staff made sure we are well taken care of. Suresh was assigned to us and he made sure we were comfortable and left with great satisfaction. Keep it up guys.. surely we are coming back

Had a rather dismal experience at Under The Neem today. The management was extremely hostile and we couldn’t enjoy the experience at the restaurant. Even though the footfall wasn’t excruciating at the time, there was a hurry to have us leave.

The experience hasn’t been in good taste, given the repeated visits to the property and we wish that the management understands the importance of a customer centric mindset instead of only focusing on sales.
Loved the placed! Very calm and soothing ambience! Their desi chai was very good in taste.. And also their verde pizza! The staff was also very polite and friendly.

This is one of my favourite places in Gurgaon. The food they serve is all from their kitchen garden with freshest homegrown vegetables with the best taste.
If I talk about their ambience it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. Surrounded by greenery in the lap of nature. They also have a farmhouse, play area and you can even do cycling inside karma chalets (Closed during COVID19)
It is a must-visit place and don't forget to try their dessert.

Great ambiance, great food, superb hospitality, usually not so crowded, however, a great place to just chill and read/ or have a pleasant quiet time with a few close friends, away from the usual cacophony of defeating music and crowd chatter.

Amazing smoothies, natural, vegetables are grown within the periphery which cries volumes of freshness....

An amazing place 🙂
Well well, this is a long kept secret by Karma Lakelands on NH8 Gurgaon..you need to visit here once to feel the magic this place has to offer..a completely artistic cafe inside lush green Karma lakelands with picture perfect decorations and exteriors! You will fall in love with this place as soon you step in! Service again is top class, they have a kitchen garden, nice options, super tasty food and super kool drinks! Perfect place for your next date, family brunches and even for a relaxed cup of tea! Truly worth!

I don’t know why people have given four ratings. This cafe deserves five stars. One of the prettiest cafes I have been. The ambiance is so lovely, once you will here m sure you are going to love it

I went with my family for Saturday lunch for my mom’s birthday. The place is overhyped with nothing exceptional.

- Ambience: 5 on 5. The place is nicely done up with great interior. There is outdoor as well as indoor seating. This is definitely a go to place for picture lovers.
- Food: 3 on 5. The portion size is relatively smaller, however, the taste is fine. We ordered chicken platter in starters and tawa chicken, Kadhai paneer and garlic naan for main course. Unfortunately, there was no chicken but a bone platter. Main course was average but garlic naan had no garlic.
- Hospitality: 1 on 5. We entered around 2 in the afternoon. I had made reservations through Zomato in advance for 2:30 PM. The lady standing at the waiting counter was bit rude and asked us to wait. There could be more trained staff (waiters and trainees and specially the lady standing outside the cafe). Apart from conversing in English, they should also know the hospitality rules which is to more polite towards their guests. It seemed as if there was a preferential treatment given to the people living in their so called “Karma Challets”. They were not concerned about the people who are visiting the cafe.
- Service: 2 on 5. The service was really poor and slow. We had asked for salad which came post we almost completed our lunch. Also, a waiter kept standing at our table with used plates waiting for us to finish our food. We specially asked him to leave.

Went there as my birthday treat. Loved the vibe of the place. Felt as a short picnic and the rain did more maGic to the place. The staff was cortegeous. Food awesome. A relaxing and unwindin place.

If you want to spoil your evening and feel insulted this is the best place because if you can’t wait for your food for more than an hour they will simply ask you to leave.

Visited on 25th Jan. What an ambience... An insta worthy restaurant with beautiful setting. Every element was in sink. The colors, the seating, The cleanliness, the overall decor and staff with pleasing smiles. But the good things end right here. We started with ordering basic items: Juice and bruschetta. The juice was bitter and bruschetta was soggy and smelly especially the one with mushroom topping. The pasta was nothing but average. and the deal breaker was the roasted chicken. I was expecting a lot better than this. We usually order in advance ( the starter, main course etc and ask them to time it correctly one by one so we can enjoy our meal) and i think they do not understand the concept of the same. They were ready to serve us the starter, main course, juice , coffee all at same time. The staff kept approaching us though with a smile reminding us again again that they have processed our order and it was very irritating to tell them over and over that we cant have everything together. Cherry on cake was the bill. It was for around 4k without liquor ( which they anyways dont serve). I always prefer to try stand alone restaurants over 5 star but this time, i think i hv had enough. I regret choosing this over ThreeSixtyOne which was near on the day of our anniversary. Expect a home cooked kinda food here in a cost of a 5 star.

It was a beautiful place to visit. The food was good, not that great. We opted for the buffet. The desserts were really great. The spread was reasonable and had good options. The place was really done up with small yet beautiful details. It would have been heavenly if it wasn’t so crowded. Also there was wedding going on so there was a lot of noise of drums etc

It was a really fun day out 'Under the Neem'.
The whole experience of the giant chess board, the lush garden space for my kids to play around, the swings and the delicious food really added to our Republic Day weekend. Memories were made, thank you for this!

It’s a wonderful place. Perfect for a picnic with the entire family. Food is delicious. Hospitality by Suresh is worth praising.

Overhyped

We went for a Sunday brunch which was Republic Day also, after reading so many good reviews.,... The charges were 1650 per adult and 850 per kid without taxes.....
The place is nice though a bit small and nothing exceptional.....
Anyhow the Biggest problem was FOOD..... both variety and taste
1. Only one organic soup in buffet which was just so tasteless
2. No non alcoholic drinks in buffet
3. Starters were below standard.... Mediterranean hummus and pita were no where near good, mutton balls and fish too were not prepared well
4. Live counter had ultrasmall sized golgappas, and a chaat that was worst one we ever had
5. Main course had only 3-4 veg dishes all were below the mark, non veg main course including chicken and mutton were too raw and did not taste well.

Desserts had ice cream, gukab jamun and chocolate cake which were fine.... Total bill came close to 15k for 6 adults and 4 kids below 5.
My verdict.... You are paying for just open space to sit and chill..... Food needs major improvement...... Both in terms of variety and taste
Service was fine .....
Saurabh Gupta
Location, ambience, decor are super, but lot of other areas need improvement. Visited for republic day special buffet, but the options (veg) were very limited and most of it was average. An appetizer with smoked salmon was labeled vegetarian (green dot) and when enquired staff was not even sure whether it is veg or not. We were seated indoor and apparently they had live counters outside of which no one informed us while seated, there were no signs/markings and we got to know somehow when we were on our last course. The chaat, biryani were mediocre. The buffet didn’t have any drink / beverage. The service was poor, had to ask repeatedly for clearing the plates from the table. If i will ever visit again, it will be only for the location and insta worthy decor, but everything else is average.

Awesome vibe of this place.. must visit.. with family, or loved ones. The moment you enter the KARMA LAKELANDS, beautiful place away from the city.. calm decorations, away from hustle bustle.

STAFF - amazing people there.. they know how to take care of the people coming over there, on time orders, special requests taken very seriously. Love the sitting area provided to me called - NOOK. FELT LIKE SITTING IN A LUXURY TRAIN WINDOW SEAT AND HAVING MY COFFEE.. 🥰🥰😍

Definitely visiting this place soon.
BEST VIBES. 💐😘

We went for tea post lunch at the Karma Chalets restaurant as heard a lot about the place..it turned out to be the way we assumed it to be..done up beautifully..apt for lazy afternoon tea/lunch..the food is delicious...sitting neat and cozy.
However the service was really slow, seems they are not capable to handle a lot of orders simultaneously. Also they dont serve liquor including beer.
Overall, a good place to hang out with family and friends esp. if there are kids aa there is ample space for playing.

I was told my friend that a new restaurant has opened in Gurgaon. $UNDER THE NEEM$
I visited the place with family for lozy afternoon lunch.
My first order was pizza and pani Puri chat. great experience love the environment. outdoor seating is very nice and beautiful for winter. Food was also very good and everything is organic. great overall experience. thank you so much UTN team for giving us such a wonderful hospitality.
one more thing
You can also do one night stay there, the CHALETS that are made there is very nice and peaceful place, you can spend a good time with the family.
I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this place😇

And it's a wrap of amazing birthday with an awesome evening at Under The Neem cafe .

Thank you so much Mr. Mukul and Mr. Suresh for a beautiful hospitality experience. Food was to the point and ambience was really soothing.
Mushroom soup was my favorite. And I thank the kitchen staff for arranging that cute Lil chocolate cake as a birthday gesture.

Once again thank you everyone ❤️😊

The Sunday Brunch was a good idea! The spread was lavish and the taste - even better. My favourite was the live chaat and the fish tikka barbeque prepared right in front of us! The team managed the crowd very well and the vegetable garden was oh so inviting!

Rude staff, I had never thought after a great experience I would write this. But the staff and management is extremely rude. We ordered for 900 fixed menu buffet and the deserts were unlimited, as we were with our 2 year old son, he wanted to have the ice-cream with brownie again, I asked for it and one of the waiters told me I am supposed to have only one, and also told me you will have to pay 1800, as the buffet is 900 per person, as if I am not aware, I complained this to the director and she instead supported the staff. Really that was disheartening.
Anushree Gupta
The place is a must go if you are looking for some peace and a nice getaway weekend from the hustle bustle of Delhi. The food is absolutely yum and healthy.. as the ingredients are freshly picked and are homegrown. There's lot of space to sit out to bask in the winter sun too.
Simply loved this place!

With all enthusiasm, I took my family for Sunday lunch at @undertheneem Karma Lakelands; sector 80. Huge place good ambience but what to do with all of that when Dere’s no hospitality & slow service. Things that really pissed us off:
1.We asked for jawar paratha meal, they says unavailable, in winters as it’s the season time; how it can go unavailable at 2 in the noon.
2. Took 40 minutes to bring our food, with no intimation at all; and wt to do in that lapse? If preparations take so much time, something to munch should be served.
3. Very limited menu, Such fancy names with no speciality.
4. Overpriced (seems overpriced just after this sad experience)
5. Last but not the least, asked us to move on as they had another reservation!

Thumbs down for Karma Lakelands

Loved the vibe of this place. A quiet serene place to spend a lovely time with family. Beautiful ambience. Awesome food. I went there in a gang of girls and we found it to be a perfect place for pulque coffee and chit-chat. Everything that we ordered was good to taste and the portion size was quite big. The hummus platter was great and so was the burger. The gnocchi was decent. Highly recommend this place.

Please avoid this restaurant at any cost if you don’t want an upset stomach. 2 out of 3 of us couldn’t sleep whole night. The daal served was shit and we kept vomitting all night. Even after telling them the daal is that bad, they still charged us full. Extremely poor food. Please avoid.

We went to celebrate our birthdays (my husband & I) and i must say what a delight it was! Under the Neem is one of the finest restaurants i have been to ever since shifting to Gurgaon. It is based on the 'Farm to table' concept. Everything which is cooked comes from their organic farms. No wonder, the taste comes through in each item you order from the menu. The place has a very 'rustic' yet classy feel to it. The decor is elegant & well thought through. The cutlery largely appeared to be stoneware which was a great match t with the overall ambience & the carefully crafted menu.
The staff was hospitable & so knowledgeable about everything, from food, to drinks, et al.

We had the privilege to meet the extremely chirpy & friendly Padmini who is the BD manager for this place. She was super welcoming & made sure everyone is well taken care of. Special mention for Mukul from F & B! Look forward to see you guys again for yet another celebration!
Must must visit! Highly recommended!

Such a quiet and cozy cafe with great food and polite courteous staff. The pizza was absolutely smashing and so was the pasta. Both cooked to perfection. The greenery, the cosy cafe and the great food provide a wholesome experience. This is not a place for a quick bite but a place where you can spend a good amount pf time soaking everything in and relaxing away from the city. Must visit.

I had been wanting to come to this place for some time and once when I reached I was just mesmerised by the ambience and the view. I had come for dinner. The place was aptly lit up with great music in the background giving a soothing effect. Initially we planned to sit outdoor , but Suresh our guide for the evening suggested we sit indoor with an outdoor view. It all started then. Suresh helped us select the menu and we just went by his suggestions. For starters we ordered Moonglette (stuffed moong daal cheela) and for main course it was Matka Mutton , roti and rice. My stomach was full , but soul demanded for more. So forgetting the calories already consumed , we ordered for Kis Khet ki mooli (mooli paratha combo), this too suggested by dear Suresh. This hearty meal needed a good closure, no space for desserts, we ordered for flower tea called Find your passion. Such an amazing experience !! Will visit again , and recommend everyone I connect with. It is a paradise for food lovers.

I have fallen in love with the restaurant- Under The Neem at Karma Chalets, sector 80, Gurugram. This restaurant blends with nature such that you actually talk to nature while savoring food. I had gone there with my family which includes all ages. There was not only food for all ages, but also activities for all ages!

Ambiance is such that people who want a quiet and peaceful dining, they can sit inside. The interiors are really nice. Guests who have kids running around, making noise and who want to enjoy food with nature, can sit in garden while having meals.Others can derive pleasure from sitting in the garden, looking at a variety of flora in the garden and also in the kitchen garden. Yet others can knit a woolen piece that is kept for whoever is interested in knitting.

We had pizzas the first night we dined there. Pizza crust was super thin and crisp. I got reminded of Italian Pizza I had at the airport in Rome. We had ordered Cheese , Cheese corn and Onion, capsicum and mushroom pizzas. All pizzas were delicious. Toppings were ample. There was no space in pizza where I could feel the dirth of toppings. Everyone relished pizzas.

Next afternoon, my elder son ordered Thick Punjabi Lassi. He relished it. It had a flavour of rose water. The lassi was very thick and delicious. It had gur and not sugar. So, the lassi was healthy and nutritious as well. We had Pind Di Pasand and french fries. Kids loved both. There was a perfect blend of spices in Pind Di Pasand. It was not at all chilly. I too loved its gravy. Paneer pieces were tender , soft and juicy. Breads were good as well.

French fries were crispy and hot. We all relished them.

Service was impeccable. Both during dinner and afternoon, restaurant was packed. Nonetheless, our expectations were set and there was no compromise in food and service at all. We were taken good care of.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience to dine at Under The Neem. A highly recommended restaurant.

Super yummy food, exotic ambience, very polite and quick staff n service. You will have to plan for second trip after your first visit here. Place worth to visit for sure.we went to celebrate my husband's birthday here.the indoor nd outdoor sittings were so well planned. Though the menu item were quite few but believe me everything was organic and tempting.
This outlet is beautifully interior decorated. Although located slightly remotely, once you are in, you are bound to be in for a delight. This outlet has a limited variety of food and beverages, but everything is so well cooked and presented, that everyone likes everything! Good ambience, polite and courteous staff and indoor as well as outdoor seating are the key highlights of ‘Under The Neem’. We ordered a masala tea, a fruit shake and some French fries and mashed potato. Served with good presentation, the taste was delicious too. We will surely visit back for another delightful evening!

we celebrated our daughter's second birthday here with 20 guests. the entire solarium and two tables in their main cafe were booked for us.
the main reason for us to choose the place, was the amazing ambiance. the entire cafe is beautifully decorated, is surrounded by greenery, and its just so peaceful. the kids had a great time out in the garden playing and the adults enjoyed the great hospitality inside. everything from the drinks to the starters to the main course and desserts, were just excellent.
the staff are extremely courteous, and took care of all our guests. a special thanks to Ms Uma, Mr Akshaya and Mr Mukul for giving us a memorable birthday
i have found this place to be perfect if you want to get away from the hectic hustle bustle of daily routine/life. the food is all organic, so finally you get the actual taste of a vegetable. no matter what you order, you just can't be disappointed.
with the chalets, this is going to be our frequent weekend getaway.

Under the Neem is the most exotic, offbeat and insta worthy restaurant in Delhi NCR and I can proudly say that I have been one of the first patrons who got to experience this luxurious destination dishing out the best organic food.

This review is coming after three visits over a period of 8 months. Will try to be as candid as possible!

⭐The Ambience is breathtaking! The interiors are done while keeping every detail in mind! Large French windows keep the cafe well lit and that's what I love about nature friendly places. From the crockery to the plush chairs, everything's mesmerising and beautiful! It's very spacious and can accommodate plenty of guests at a time.

The outdoor seating is very unconventional and fun! There's a to and fro swing turned into a table, a kitchen garden where you can relax and have a meal on a Charpoy, a few tables under the neem tree if you don't want to bake in the sun but still love the outdoor feel!
There's a giant Chess board on the floor which we absolutely loved!

⭐ Best time to visit - Winters (Afternoons)

⭐My first visit was on 1st January, 2019 when I wanted to visit a very different place for lunch with family. Being an avid explorer, I was searching for newly opened restaurants and hotels in the city. Have been reviewing on Zomato since 2015 but for the first time I would say, this app proved to be a blessing as I found an exceptionally wonderful resort - Karma Lakelands and this cafe on the right day, at the right time.

As expected, me and my family were totally consumed by the beauty of this place and the food that they served.
Since no one was there except four of us, we got the luxury of exploring all the exclusive spaces they have - The Khet, Nestled in the nook, Between bamboos!
We were just taking leisurely walks while waiting for our food being prepared - Fresh from their garden kitchen!
Coming to the details in just a while!

I suppressed the desire to upload a review as I wanted to visit them again and get my hands on a few more dishes.

⭐The second visit happened on 13th February, 2019 and I was celebrating a big day with my partner. We were at Under the Neem for almost 5 hours and again, we were THE ONLY two souls present there and it was the most private experience ever! The staff made us feel no less special!

I usually never even take 24 hours to write a review as it's my passion to burn the midnight oil after work and review all the new places I have been to. But somehow, I still couldn't find time because I knew that I would be visiting them soon again! Crazy I know!

⭐ The third visit was on my birthday, 25th July, 2019. I am very honest about it, I don't think there's a better place than Karma in the entire City! By now, I was not an acquaintance for the staff as well! :D
Since it was humid and extremely hot and humid in July, they covered the main entrance which extended the indoor seating space. This was my favourite spot in the winter as it was perfect to bake in the sun!

🔥 The Food

There's not even a single dish that we tried on all three visits that turned out to be less than perfect or average. So I am gonna pen down everything that we devoured and anything that I remember about them!

What's worth mentioning here is that most of their ingredients are grown in the backyard kitchen! Hygienic, scrumptious and organic food. That's what hooked me to Under the Neem!

🔥Penne Alfredo Pasta - Had this on all three visits! Loaded with home grown veggies, garnished with beautiful edible petals of flowers they grow! Must Have!

🔥 Ab ke Saawan Aise Barse - A platter of Paneer Tikka, Kathal tikki, corn and beg Seekh! I devoured this all alone!

🔥 Dil se Re - an assortment of Chaat - Golgappa, Palak Patta Chaat and Millet Papdi Chaat!
Everything was so nutritious that it didn't even feel like a cheat meal!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

🔥 The North Indian Platter consisting of Dal Makhani (cooked without the calorie dense cream and butter), Paneer tossed in bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and fresh Indian breads! You'll feel like everything has been cooked at home!

🔥 Vegetable broth with salad

This is what I really love about UTN! Even if you spend the weekend at Karma Chalets, you can have all the meals here, without any guilt as everything's organic and fresh.

Had a lot of other stuff as well including sandwiches, fries and some exotoc teas that they serve.

🔥🔥 If you're a tea lover, dive into the Artisanal Himalayan Tea menu!

⭐ The service at this nature friendly restaurant needs to be mentioned! The stewards are extremely courteous and polite. As I mentioned, we took long walks in the property, our meals lasted for hours and the staff was not at all in any kind of rush. In fact, they insisted us to play some games and have the most of our time.
It's their pleasant attitude that brings me back to this place!
Superb is the word for this place.

If I would have been judge of some reality show, I would have stand on the stairs or break 2 mugs for this place. 😉😉

Anyways, let’s talk about the place. We visited here for a friends 👫 get together.
It was quite last minute but we managed to get a table on a Saturday noon.

Thanks to Mr. Mukul (manager, under the neem) he made our visits totally worth it. Very helpful and easily approachable. Thank you Mukul! :-)

Our order:
#veg platter
#non veg platter
#chaat platter
#white sause spaghetti pasta 🍝
#veg pizza
#green burger
#chicken burger 🍔
#kadai paneer
#kadai chicken
#garlic naan and roti
#lot of mocktails and shakes. Best one was mango shake
#masala chai ☕️

Lot of food. Sigh!

Platter quantity was little less (veg and non veg both).
Good food overall.
Best dish and must try - green burger
Drink - chai

They have very unique names for the dishes (like songs). I don’t remember them and writing normal english names here. 😬😬

Ambience:
Credit of my first 2 lines goes to the ambience of this place.
Greenery all around.
Swings to enjoy tea.
Games
Calm atmosphere
A person playing flute just adds to the complete atmosphere.

Service:
Good service.
Be patient if you are visiting over the weekend and do reserve your table in advance.

Must visit place.
Try it and let me know your comments.

Happy eating.

NotsoActuarial
By Indu Bansal
👍🏻👍🏻

A great little hangout in the greens with some awesome food. Make a trip to this place and you will never regret. You can even take a stroll in the lush green gardens that are attached.

Great starters, better main course and mind-blowing drinks. The experimental dishes on the menu are crafted to perfection, the cinnamon orange cold coffee may just be the best available in NCR. The farm to table experience is best experienced in the cannelloni, do give it a try.

The perfect place for spending your weekend. Great food and better service! Can't wait to visit again.

You need to take out time to absorb what it has to offer in full. Great for a lazy Sunday. Amazing place, in and out and a warm and lovely host.

Quickly becoming my go-to place when I want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Located along the National highway, this place is nestled inside a vast campus that features beautiful green areas. The servers are well trained and are always polite. The management is friendly too and will always try and make you feel welcome and right at home. Menu is well curated and the food and beverages are expertly prepared. Must visit with family or that special someone :)

Situated next to mC donalds manesar, on the highway, very beautiful place. A gem hidden inside karma lakelands. You will have to tell at that entrance and thwy guide you the way till inside. Amazingly nice entrance, very good hospitality by the restaurant staff. They have a lady managee their, who keeps you updated with everything going on there, be it a suggestion of what to order if its your first time, or just a pep talk. She is gem of a person. The staff even takes care of your kids ( if you take them along, they keep them busy with the little things there, and games)

One can go here with friends or family or just for a date.
This place is calm with serene background. Greenery and soothing music, they have a signature spot to get snaps clicked ( a swing with under the neem wooden plaque on top it )

They have chess, board games, mini golf type game, swing.
Outdoor seating is also there if the weather supports then one should definitely sit amongst the green friends.

The taste of food is out of this world, thats all because they use their own organic vegetables ( grown right there behind the restaurant)
We ordered avocado and spinach and lassi ( trust me you will not regret ordering it. It is soooo delicious.
One can try their greek mezzo ( it is again yumm comes with pita bread and varienty of dips.

They have a tie up with an nGO, and made my mum do a bit of knitting. I liked the good cause.

This place is a must for all to visit.
Beautiful place, food and most importantly a very well behaved staff. We visited the place for the first time and overall it was a wonderful experience. We carried our four legged lil princess Bella and she was too excited seeing the large play area. However she couldn’t enjoy much as it started raining. But we are thankful to the entire staff who took such good care of her and pampered her throughout our stay. Looking forward for our second visit.
My recommendation would be to keep a covered area outside, which can bring an option for visitors who prefers outdoor sitting. This can be advantageous during rains.
Lovely restaurant which takes you away from the city bustle into a nature haven. The chicken pasta and margherita pizza were wonderful. The staff is very courteous and friendly. There was fresh produce from the kitchen garden in our food. Would love to go again for the place and the cappuccino!

First let me start with the positives- Beautiful setting, lot of open space for the young ones to play. Perfect if you have young kids. It would be a great place for winter brunches

Negatives- Too pricy. Food was ok- not bad but not great either. A meal for 4 will cost you 4K+

I can't get any better place than this for celebrating my husband's birthday.
Special thanks to Mr. Mukul for making arrangements on a very short notice and giving us the private yet beautiful space in the restaurant.
And also thanks to Chef Pritam for offering us the delightful cuisines.

And last but not the least thanks to the rest of the staff for making efforts.
Thank you UTN once again, your food was awesome, ambience was to d point and hospitality was beyond par.

Not many people know about this restaurant but this is a hidden gem in this Area. Huge huge property with plenty of outdoor space (excellent to sit during nice weather). About the food, we tried Penne pasta in Pink sauce - very nice and definitely to order it again. Along with that we ordered couple of shakes ( Summer fruit and pomegranate smoothie) both were very refreshing. Next was main course - Kandhaari Paneer and Bhuna Gosht. Paneer was cooked to perfection, probably there were little more onions in it which was taken as a Feedback by the team. Meat was the star - super tender and enough spices in it which craved me to eat the entire dish.
About the staff - very courteous and helpful. Definitely I’ll be visiting this place again with Family and Friends.

If you're willing to travel a bit, this is a wonderful restaurant with a warm staff and lip-smacking good food. We ordered a mixed-sauce penne pasta and an extra-cheesy vegetarian pizza, and they were both exceptional in terms of taste and presentation. The ambience is very nice and cozy as well. Highly recommended!

Eyeing for a quick getaway from the hustle bustle of the city?

Look no further and head to Karma Lakelands in Gurgaon. Its 40min drive from the main Gurgaon city. You’ll be welcomed with lush greenery, birds chirping, squirrels running and some peaceful setting. Come here with your friends, family or even your book you have been meaning to finish.

You can stay at one of the boutique rooms or villas at Karma Chalets which screams comfort. Also, dine at their beautiful café Under the Neem. Its located just in the middle of nature and serves fresh, wholesome food directly from the farm to your table. Their new Summer menu is designed keeping in mind the seasonal food and various flavours which perfectly blends altogether. We tried the Multigrain vegetarian Bruschetta which comes with three exciting toppings; caramelised onion & goat cheese, mushroom & smoked garlic, mango salsa & smoked chili. I was blown away with the flavours of their spinach ricotta cannelloni baked in tomato herb sauce. This is a must try apart from Moringa Tawa Murg. Ended our exquisite meal with their flourless slow cooked baked chocolate cake which is gluten-free and comes with berry compote and seasonal fruits.

The best part about this place is you take your time in devouring your meal while stepping out for a walk in their kitchen garden or sipping your drink on a swing. The hospitality is so warm and do not hesitate in asking for their suggestions.
Favourite gem of the month-

I visited the place with the kids and wife for a lazy afternoon lunch.

A heartwarming welcome by Ms Padmini Mehta with open heart made it a visit worth cherishing that we'll never forget.

The Drinks that we ordered- -

1. Pomegranate, beetroot, yoghurt and honey smoothie-

Freshness of every ingredient made it taste absolutely refreshing. I crammed the ingredients that went into the making and intend to give it a try myself.

2.Thick Oreo shake-

Kids enjoyed it.

Food that we ordered included-

1. Pizza Verde-

The pizza dough is made in-house and the vegetables are organically grown. The crunchiness says it all.

2.Oops I did it again-

We had the penne with Alfredo.USP once again was the freshness of vegetables and taste lip smacking.

We saw, admired and vouch that the ingredients and vegetables were fresh and safe for kids.

A note of thanks to Ms Mehta for giving us a tour of the resort and the kitchen garden. Thank you for engrossing us in sweet memories of former acquaintances.

Would I visit the place again?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

I wish it happens soon though.
Places and people like these make me continue to explore.
After a hectic day at work, took time to rejoice similar experience on 3rd May 2019 along with family, and booked through dineout ( as I did previously). Manager named Mukul first asked us to get out of the restaurant because booking is not confirmed as per them.

Despite stressing hard that booking is confirmed that is why we entered at the first place, he kept on repeating "move out" (quite literally). The tone of Mukul was not only short of any listed respectable hospitality standards in the industry but also degrading. Our evening was already ruined.

The way he was asking for the proof of confirmed booking made us feel intruders. Only after looking at confirmation message he lowered his tone. This entire confusion was created by them by cancelling my reservation just 15 mins before the reservation for a restaurant located at the outskirts. Food was equally pathetic this second time, complete blunder.

To our surprise nobody came to fill the seats if we would have not come as restaurant was almost empty throughout good 2 hrs we intruded. What took us so long? Well..Well.. their snail pace service I must say.

Absolute stunner! Good Organic food straight from their Garden and its yumilicious. Be it a veg dish or a non veg one, its lovely. We are regular there and have our favorites capacino coffee and club sandwich. Must go for the experience of eating in the greenery and at peace.

Hidden paradise in Gurgaon.
The setting was perfect. 300 acres of green. Beautiful flowers.
The food was delicious. The drinks instantly uplifted our mood. Most of their ingredients are home grown. You must checkout their kitchen garden.
The staff was courteous and very friendly.
Padmini ji’s presence just added to this experience.
They have a wonderful smoking zone for all the smokers.
I loved everything about it and it was worth every penny and my time. I want everyone to visit this beautiful place. I was more happy to see the healthy and fresh options on their menu. It was so different and yum. I would want to visit this place again and again. I will give food , ambience, vibe and staff everything 5 stars. Worth worth worth visiting .

It was an amazing experience visiting this place and it was no less than a mini picnic. The service was extremely slow but the food was exceptionally good. There were plenty of games to be played, plenty of activities, it’s a paradise for kids and a must try for everyone. The prices were justified for the experience you get. I highly recommend it.

Went there on the suggestion from a friend. The moment we reached there, we knew we are going to have a great Sunday. The place was vibrant and lively. The outside seating, kids playing, a guy playing flute, cheerful people enjoying their meals; everything added to the overall vibrancy of the place. Not to forget the 'not so hot sun' adding it's bit. We were welcomed at the reception. In spite of us being late for our reserved table, the lady manager was kind enough to accommodate us. We got a table inside and we started checking the menu. It was a 'only buffet' Sunday brunch but on request, the kind and ever smiling lady manager took our ala carte order for Rajputana and Pind de Chole. After 25 minutes, the food arrived. The presentation was excellent. BUT the food taste was not up to the mark and as expected. The mutton was average, panner tasted like it was thrown in an uncooked gravy of tomato and onions, Dal makhni was nowhere close to what we are used to, aloo ghobi below average, palak was good, achaar excellent. Overall, the taste was quite a downer for a place so good like this. Had the food been even above average, I would still go there twice. With the kind of price that they charge, the taste needs to justify that. So overall, still a good experience but the food quality needs to change drastically. May be continental food is awesome there but for a north Indian guy like me who swears my mutton dishes and deal makhni, it's a disappointment.
Hungrylioness
The ambience is great and lovely to have food under the neem. Reason I give it 4 or may be 3.5 is the food is quite average and nothing very special both in type of dish or taste. Great for families to come with kids and enjoy.
Bring some chang in food type and sure it will do wonders to this place.
