It used to be a great place for dine in but now it is just about ok...some of their dishes still tastes very good but overall the ambience is average Always eager for payment only. Booked a party and asked payment by guests untill we reached without informing or asking Somebody told us for the restaurant. We ordered soups, starters and food after,30 min No one item we all 7 member like anyway. We asked about the Manager or Management, No one replied in the staff. Suggestion Book is not also available there. I think something is wrong about That

Great Food, good old-school vibes. We ordered Kebabs and Butter chicken, hands down it was one of the best butter chicken in Gurgaon. Along with that we ordered rumali roti and butter naan, both the items were too yum! Highly recommended if you care for great food and good music.

attended a wedding function at this place !! Found it to be ok kind with food not so impressive when it comes to taste, mostly blunt taste. The services were also just average as they switched off the ac/cooling system at 12.30pm not carrying about the gathering/function. Not a complaint but a genuine feedback for this place.

Well, this is the best butter chicken I've had in gurgaon so far and the meat starters as well and the sirka Walla pyaaz and the chutney and the nimbu Pani!!! It's a no nonsense clean place which serves top notch high quality North Indian cuisine and one pays for it.

Food here is very very tasty . Service is also great. Dal Makhani, Manchurian, dahi ke Sholey is very very very tasty. This is the best restaurant in gurgaon but one minus point is that everywhere bisleri water bottle is given on MRP but rajmahal cost it for Rs45.

One of the best restaurants for North Indian food in Old gurgaon. Snacks are quite nice and authentic. Main course can be improved a little bit. Lot of cream used in main course recently. Prices have been going a little steep. Service is very good. Ambience is getting old and can be revamped.

the place deserves 5 star rating truly. they have taken mughlai cuisine par excellence and maintained consistency through decades. even the continental and Chinese they serve is just unique. dal makhni served here can any day give the iconic dal bukhara a run for money. altough one can order anything here with eyes closed but shahi paneer/ butter chicken, tomato soup and dahi ke sholey are must haves.

This place has a rich history and this is the place which introduced me to butter chicken decades ago when I was a child. Their butter chicken is unlike any other, not too much masala and a slightly sweet flavor. I would say it’s a must try. The location is a prime location and you can’t miss it. The staff is the highlight. Very nice people. The food is served quickly and they play nice ghazals in the evening. Do try their sweet lime water as well.

It's been my pleasure being a regular visitor here since my childhood. Especially for - Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and Bhuna Murgh. Other items in the menu are wonderful as well. Even the Chinese preparation is worth relishing. Post the renovation, the place has improved upon the space. It has kinda old school, ghazal playing ambiance. Price wise, it is a fine dining experience. But definitely a place for gourmet dining.

Food is good but very expensive. Though Raj Mahal Deluxe is one of the oldest restaurants in Gurgaon but they are cheating the customers first by not passing gst benefit to the customers and now increased the rates by approximately 20% on all dishes.

I have been to this place multiple times but yesterday when i visited this place it was my worst experience... i was here for a party at the banquet and had such an awful experience the food quality was pathetic. If there is an option to give negative reviews, I would have given it. The service is so bad, that I can't explain it in words. The whole service staff is pretty aged and big on ego. This is the worst service in a restaurant I have seen in my whole life.

Starting from the time you enter the place, the place is very relaxing, with light music. Went to this place for an official lunch. Restaurant is located at a prime location but you won't see much crowd in this restaurant now. Although I feel that they still have that taste which the normal family restaurant used to have around 5-10 years back. Once in a while this can be tried if you want to have the samw vintage feel. Dal makhnai is good, Shahi Paneer is ok ok and Malai kofta is recommended so next time when I am ordering or visiting this place I will try Malai Kofta.

Nice food with nice ambience and reasonable rates can be found here. Staff members are genuine and soft spoken. Punjabi theme can be seen on walls n menu. Sitting arrangement is good. Family restaurant , separete bar n terrace area is available for sitting.

We opted for home delivery... Only two dishes...One was tandoori chicken..Which was very dry/hard and chicken looked stale. Second dish was chicken garlic kebab...It had no taste of garlic. It was delivered in a box and on opening it looked like chicken bharta ... Almost scrambled... Also the food was over-spicy. We cud only taste chillies...

I heard about this place from my friend , he'd been there so many times . So like their name i thought the place was similar to the ancient palace type . It been located in raj mahal building , new colony more ,old railway road in gurgaon.<br/>So lastly been here with my family for dinner , so the restaurant was upstairs in 1st floor . The entrance was quite good and well decorated with deemed lights , so we easily had a table at corner .<br/>Then the waiter came in a very pleasant way to serve a water and asked about the order . So firstly we started from starters, ordered hot n sour soup with spring rolls and chilli potato .<br/>After that we like to order main course , so we ordered daal makhni and kadhai paneer with mix veg raita and butter naan .<br/>The food was undoubtedly mouth watering but the service was soo poor and late ,so plzz try to avoid these things .<br/>I'll recommend this restaurant because of their ambience and food too and gave them 3 stars .

Went there for a family dinner and ordered the usual dal makhni and paneer. It tasted okay, nothing special. It was priced heavily for its quality. But the worst part was that the very next day, all of us ended up with food poisoning and bad stomach aches. Haven't had such a pathetic food experience ever. Big NO to anyone who cares a tiny bit about their health! Never going back again.

It's an old look restaurant with no taste in the food. We ordered soup and dal makhani but eventually dal was all Makhan without dal and soup has some tangy taste. The price was literally exaggerated w.r.t quality of food. Totally disappointed with the food. Not recommended.

It's a old school type peaceful place with no loud noises and crowd. The ambience of the restro was plain n soothing offering u wide variety of tasty food like Punjabi and chinese. I had this Tawa paneer sabji which was damn delicious along with stuffed paratha which again was yummy. My colleagues ordered butter chicken which they loved it. So in all the quality and taste of food was 5 on 5. However the service was very slow and also the washrooms which defines the standard of a place were pathetic. So think before you visit.

Recently booked this place for my family function. Everything was fine at the time of meetings related to order but the reality was far away from the promised.Snacks were kept at a single place which were supposed to be served to the guests by the waiters. Upon complaining, they started serving them.Food was not up to the mark. Gobhi Masala was full of salt. Dahi Bhallas were hard.It was a mistake to book this place.

I have heard a lot about this place. Its one of the oldest eating joints of Gurgaon. Mainly famous for its butter chicken. They have very less vegetarian options.<br/><br/>It is a low lightening place, with an old feel to it. We ordered tomato soup, which was too sweet to be called soup, you can actually have it as dessert 😆 . We ordered dahi ke sholey and chicken tikka for starters. Which was good but not very good. For main course it was oh so famous butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhani and kadhai paneer. All the preparations were full of cream. <br/><br/>An average place and only go there for their butter chicken.

Butter paneer masala tasted exactly like kadhai paneer and when we confronted we were told its paneer butter masala , with a confused look . Dal fry was really a dal FRY if you know what I mean . Thankfully tandoori roti was something I can say was okay . Garlic naan was dipped in OIL completely . And when we said we didn't order butter naan we were told we assume it you should have mentioned no butter . Well does that apply with rotis too ? Not visiting the place anytime soon . Feeling sick in my stomach . Kindly do something about the amount of oil you put in the dishes . Thanks .

I visited this place after reading the rating on Zomato. We were looking for some good authentic non vegetarian food obviously at some good price ( we traveled all the way from sector – 43 to sector -7 not to pay the price of restaurants in malls). We wanted to have some fish first so we order half fish tikka which costs around 360 bucks. Well after waiting for some time we got the dish served at the table and to our dismay there were just 5 pieces of fish so small in size that initially we thought this is just a sample of the original dish they want us to try. I have been to most of the places in Gurgaon and I can bet that this was the costliest fish I ever tasted in Gurgaon. Fish was ok but it felt good may due to the amount we had to pay for it. Then we decided to try some tandoori chicken so we order half tandoori chicken. It costs around 300 bucks and the pieces we got were mostly bones no meat. Initially we thought chicken was on some kind of fasting for lokpal bill. After previous encounters with starters we decided to bow our heads to them and looked for some better main course. We picked one mutton dish and some tandoori roti as they were costing 20 -30 bucks per roti. And again mutton was also all bones no meat. We tried to put the gravy inside and finished with onions and asked for the bill. Now the thriller the original bill was around 900 bucks but first they charged VAT on that then some service tax on the amount including VAT and then service charges (5%) on the amount including VAT and service tax costing us 1300 bucks. I thought I gave some 400 bucks to Indian government for repairing the roads in old Gurgaon . Gosh !!

This restaurant has ruled the taste buds of people by this side of town and even after being in the business for so many years neither the quality of food nor the pull of brand has changed.<br/><br/>You step in into the restaurant you are greeted by the managers cabin on your left and dining area on your right, the dining area is decently done up and the staff is courteous. <br/><br/>The menu has Mughlai and Chinese options, no need to even check out the Chinese part simply order Dal Makhni, Butter Chicken, Badam-e-Murgh and Butter Naan with their signature Vinegar Onions.<br/><br/>Trust me, their butter naans are the crispiest naans you will have any where and their food is going to leave you satiated.<br/><br/>If you are Tandoori items persons then I would say all tandoori items are nice and the prepration (marination and cooking) is done with some finesse.<br/><br/>But one needs to beware that with all these tempting dishes on their menu, the cost involved is gastronomical as the food out here is rich in preparations which makes really heavy and before you realize how much hungry you are, one ends up being suddenly stuffed to the top. <br/><br/>Secondly the table and chairs of this place are of little smaller size so one finds it difficult to accommodate on table if all people are healthy and sitting with a plan of eating like true punjabis.<br/><br/>I will recommend this place nice Mughlai Food and No Nonsense atmosphere.

I had a Snapdeal coupon for 25% off here, which was about to expire on 25th July. I went there on 1st July for an takeaway order of about 1000rs or so. But the people there snobbishly looked at me and refused to accept the coupon saying that their contract with Snapdeal ended a day before !! <br/><br/>I found it a very bad way to receive their guest ! But, poor luck for them. They could've earned 1000-1200 that day, had they not turned me down upfront ;)

This is one of your old-happy-comfort food places! When not in the mood to cook, order from Raj Mahal Delux. The quality will never fail you. The taste is authentic Punjabi, and mom readily approves! Also, one of the loveliest family dining places. The staff is courteous, service quick, and ambiance homely. Very, very warm place. Must visit for lip-smacking Punjabi gravies. You will not be disappointed.
