Review Kashmiri Kitchen - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Sahil Jhingon
Came here to have Kahwa specially... It was good, but I have had better at other places. Would love to try out their food also, sometimes in the future.
Delhi Fun Dos
Kashmiri Kitchen on MG Road has no dedicated parking facilities. Plus we could only spot three tables for diners. But if one can overcome logistics issues like above, the food is a delight. We ordered “Kokur Yakhni” – succulent chicken pieces cooked in a light gravy of curd with an added aroma of saffron, pepper and other Kashmiri seasoning. The dish was very simple and low on spices. Along with that we ordered tandoori roti that they procured from outside. On the side we had Kahwa – The-Oh-So-Famous Kashmiri tea. This was mildly sweet, fragrant with cardamom, saffron and had almond slivers floating in it. A little piece of heaven. For dessert we had “Zafran Phirin” ( firni ) – A rice pudding, cooked, smelt and tasted just perfect. A delightful end to a rich but guiltless Indian dinner… and yes they do play some Kashmiri music too (But I wonder why on a computer?????).

Horrible experience to be stayed in your mind!! Yes this is what happnened! A shame for Kashmiri dishes this place truly is! U will stop eating mutton rogan josh, after having first bite here! Just stale mutton with artificial red coloured salty water! They call it mutton rogan josh! Over and above the wolrd’s worst seekh kebeb!
And top of that list, staff is not even bothered and happily charging u for full meal! Why are even such places operating??? Is there -5 star rating also??
Dhruv Kathuria K
Tried 2 dishes mutton rogan josh & Mutton Mirchi Korma both were awesome

I was with my roommate at my P.G. Suddenly we decided to have a dinner outside. He told me to go for the Kashmiri Kitchen in sector 29.

We reached there and order Chicken Roganjosh, Nadur Yakhni with rice.
Chicken Roganjosh is looking delicious and It was. I big chicken pieces and with red color gravy is month watering.
NadurYakhni was which i have tasted first time.It is made up of lotus stem and it was delicious to eat with the yakhni gravy.

Best thing with quality is that it is pocket frndly💷💷.

Obviously I loved phirni the most because it was the ending dish. Although Shammi kebab, tabaqmaaz and rista were overwhelming and so satisfying to the gut. The taste was next level. I’d suggest everyone to first try it and then trust this review.

Kashmiri Kitchen is our favourite restaurant. We order from Ms. Khan frequently! The Kashmiri Pulao, Goshtaba and Rista are our evergreen favourites. The Afghani Chicken is also very flavoursome. The taste is rich and perfect, and the helpings are generous. This is a great, feel-good, treat of a cuisine and guests also leave with the feeling that they have had quite a royal meal. Ms. Khan is also very warm and friendly. It's always a pleasure to order from here. It is advised to order well in advance as the dishes take time to prepare and cook.

Yesterday evening after my office me and one of my colleague decided to have a dinner outside. After looking on zomato we get Kashmiri Kitchen which is serving delicious food at pocket friendly rates. We went there and took :

1.Chicken roganjosh ---5/5.
2.Mutton roganjosh ---4/5.

They serve this with sticky rice, onion based chutney and fresh onions.

The chicken roganjosh was with light flavour gravy and big pieces of chicken😋 and Mutton roganjosh was also the same😋.

We are satisfied with quality of food and we are going visit there again very soon...
One point for the constant follow-up for a replacement order and the other for the side salad. Rest the food was stale and disappointing. Yakhni is my favorite Kashmiri Dish and now I am gonna think twice before ordering from any place. I just wish they would have put more effort in getting fresh food to people.

I have visited many restaurants with menu full of Chinese items and Punjabi foods
But i want something different so I visited this place to have taste of Kashmiri food.
It's a best restaurant with best authenticated Kashmiri food items .
One should visit this place to have Kashmiri taste

Great quality of food and presentation. The ambience of the place is not that good. You can place the orders earlier for bulk food orders. Great staff behavior.
Mansi Kalani
Worst place to have kashmiri food. We went there to have kashmiri and guess what they had no rotis. And the seekh kabab plate had only two kababs which took them almost an hour to serve. Those two shity kababs costed us 350 rs plus takes. It also had pieces of bone to it. Spoilt the whole experience of trying Kashmiri cuisine for us.
Sumona Gulla
We ordered Lahardar kabab, mutton yakhni, nadur mand. Mutton yakhni was not cooked properly.
Lahardar kabab was not fresh. Nadur mand gravy and mutton yakhni gravy both were same.
All food had taste less .Waste for money.
Kindly serve good quality food.

Food may be good but the restaurant knows nothing about customer service .. and are quite insulting too, after everything, they keep asking for review too !!

Fantastic, must try for a real authentic Kashmiri spread. Reasonable price. Total value for money. The owner / manager took personal care in recommending dishes. Great keep it up !!

Better food than I have had in Srinagar :-) . Service is unobtrusive, and the place is laid back.
Great location, Walking distance from IFFCO Chowk Metro Station.

I ordered Mutton Goshtaba. The food was delivered on time and the delivery guy was very nice. The taste was nice better than any Kashmiri Restaurant but not upto the mark. I would love to see Harissa on the menu for winters. LOTS OF LOVE from a KASHMIRI who was missing home and kashmiri food.

Great food, real feel of kasmiri dish, love eat here
Enjoy the food and the most famous hot spices to give it a unique flavour and aroma. You can have it with chapatis or naan to get the most out of this all time favourite and popular Kashmiri cuisine dish.

Very bad experience. We went for a drink and they tried to cheat us saying that the menu prices have been revised. We checked on zomato menu and the prices were not revised. Upon telling them this they agreed. Not value for money and food also not something to talk about and was average.
Bilal
Worst place ever ! Mrs Khan is so egoistic and rude.
They have no sense of cooking the Kashmiri wazwan, defaming it’s name actually.
Kashmiri wazwan is something different than what this flithy restaurant cooks.
Rajeev Chauhan
Amazing food and service I eat chicken mirchi korma it's so tasty and salad was too much tasty
Service was so fantastic car parking also available
I wanted to try this place for a very long time, and it’s a little hard to find too, with all the construction going around. When we finally managed to reach there and were still figuring the way in, a guy from neighbouring restaurant told us that Kashmiri Kitchen has been closed for a while now. To our disappointment, this information was not on any website or app. Had the status of the restaurant been already updated, it would have saved us the trouble. I hope it is open now, as it still says ‘open’ as I am still looking forward to try here
Ankit Suri
Not Authentic Kashmiri Food at all..Their Chicken Kanti was like Chinese Chilli Chicken. I'm not going to order it again from this restaurant. Poor Taste and Texture of the food.

Hi People, I visited Kashmiri kitchen this month n The first thing I noticed that it basically is a take away place rather than a dining place. The menu has authentic Kashmiri as well as Tandoori options. The food was somehow lacking in spices n taste wise was average. I am giving a review based on their competitors like Matamaal and Khyen Chen where the food and the ambiance is great. Also because I have had a wazwaan in a wedding in Kashmir I think the food needs a little more spice. I ordered a Trami from their menu which gives whole lot of options . It is more like a buffet which starts from starters placed on a mountain of rice and then the main course dishes keep coming. I really appreciate that they have the Trami option in their menu. The best part is that they deliver food till Faridabad as well.. that's awesome. I wish they work a little more on making it a fine dining place and as well as on the food. That's why I will give them 3 stars for now . Wish them good luck .

I'm not from around here so I don't really know the hot spots, but so glad I found this hole in the wall. I was passing by the area and caught sight of the sign, so couldn't resist trying authentic Kashmiri food. From the outside this may look like a humble place, but their food exceeds standards for even 5 star Kashmiri restaurants.
The owner is a very sweet lady and extremely hospitable. She made us feel like we were invited to her place rather than emitting a formal approach which makes the experience a hell of lot better. Getting to the food, we ordered chicken kaanti, white rice, tabakh maaz, and rista; every single taste bud on my tongue appreciated the flavorsome and savory taste. For dessert we received a complimentary phirni that was just per our liking; not overloaded with sugar to ensure you a hit with diabetes nor lacking a fine amount where it doesn't feel like it is not dessert time.
Anyways, long story short, seems like top notch around the block. And of course, all praise to female entrepreneurship and getting creative with Kashmir food that are hard to find.
Whenever any of you end up going, don't forget to deliver some to me ;)
Subir Bhattacharya
This was to be my 4th visit to this restaurant, first time at their iffco chowk restaurant. I went into their restaurant when it was on MG Road (near Ghitorni Metro) thrice. The earlier store had much better ambience and was good for family lunch. The new store near iffco chowk metro is not up to mark and not suitable for family. I had to come out of the restaurant (eventually looks more like cheap take away store these days) without ordering anything just because of the condition of the place. I have tasted their food and respect the taste of authentic wazwan cuisine, which is rare in our city. I would request the owner to restore the condition of the restaurant so that a good place serving an almost rare cuisine does not disappear like that.
Amit Khanna
First time going to Kashmiri Kitchen.
I heard good things about this place so I went to check it out and it surely didn't disappoint.
I will go back again in the future for sure.
Anshu Chaturvedi
I was walking down the road towards Iffco Chowk metro station and found Kashmiri Kitchen situated few steps away. I reached there and was warmly welcomed by their friendly staff. I have heard a lot about this place and only thing left was to try the delicious offerings of Wazwan.

As I sat down, the owner of the outlet, Mrs. Qamar Khan came to greet me. I can tell you that she is down to earth and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When asked about my preferences, I told them to treat me with their best of delicacies (One of the best decision I ever made).

I started with the palate of kebabs featuring Mutton Seek and leherdar kebab and the juicy flavors along with that delightful taste took me away on a ride. Next up was the main course and my table was filled with Mutton Rogan Josh, Rista, and Chicken Yakhni along with a plate full of rice. What else a foodie wants! All I can tell you is – Me taking rounds around a foodie paradise. The essence of Mutton Rogan Josh can be sought from miles and the taste will make you go ‘Wah Kya Baat Hai!’ but the stand out performer was Rista, the finely pounded mutton balls cooked in saffron gravy. It’s a must try because the perfectly cooked round mutton balls were juicy enough and spices were garnered properly, which made my taste buds to ask for more.

I was almost full but Mrs. Khan said “We have something more”. I was in two minds because my body was saying now but my urge for more food was asking me to go for more (Getting more melodramatic). Let’s get it straight, it was time for desserts and the best thing of the day came to me in the most delicious form. It was the ‘Zafran Phirni’. Leave the God, even the devil knows that I’m crazy about Phirni and I ate three bowls back to back. All in all, it was an amazing experience offering me safe heavens and if you do want to taste the delightful and authentic Kashmiri delicacies, then head to Kashmiri Kitchen.

The food is quite delicious and I liked the paneer tikka also.I ordered garlic naan one and paneer tikka with dum aloo gravey also the garnlic naan. The fragnance of ajwaien in it is quite good with garlic and tawa roti is also very good . It seems that I was eating quite delicious food.
Anuj Verma
I've been there many times and they serve really good food. I usually order veth chaman, mutton yakhni and phirni is desserts. You won't find such dishes in regular restaurants. Service is quick and the staff is courteous.
Would love to visit again. Thumbs Up.
Juweriya Shah
This place serves the most authentic kashmiri cuisine. Ordered the kashmiri speciality hareesa from here which tasted as if it was served straight from the lanes of alikadal. Would love to order from here again.
Kunika Khosla
Amazing experience. One would love to go more often than once. Food is delicious and the service is also satisfactory. Please go and enjoy the Kashmiri food.

The Staff of Kashmiri Kitchen is well aware of their customers and their choices... I went their to taste the authentic delicacies of Kashmir and the they made sure to fulfill my choices. I went there with my friends and odered Mutton Rogan Josh and Goshtaba chapati and rice. It was an awesome and delectable experience... I am definitely going there again...

I hardly prefer or like restaurants' food, but Kashimiri kitchen is definitely worth it.A friend suggested this to me. Good food and excellent service. Will be visiting again.

This place is such a surprise . It's a small dhaba like set up but nonetheless very clean and cool .
And I think it's best Kashmiri food in town .
I loved the non veg platter( the wazwan) and mutton briyani .
Being from J&K I know how authentic Kashmiri food taste like and no place so far is as close to original kashimiri food than this one .
The service was superb ! I waiter is kind and helpful to help to locate our cab and even
escorting us till cab .
Reaching there is quite a task from Delhi with all the road revamping it's bit confusing
Soutik Ganguly
This place has great food. Until you taste the dalda.

I ordered a rista and a mutton yakhni with some white rice. The rista was perfect but the mutton yakhni was overcooked and it was a pain to chew it.
The place is overpriced for its ambiance and the fact that it uses dalda in its food.
Arshad Nahvi
I order frequently food from this restaurant not through zomato but directly over phone, however I could now feel a kind of loosing focus on quality. People who know the kind of food they should not be cheated by not putting the actual ingredients. For example I order mutton korma, Rogan Josh and being a kashmiri myself I know the taste. But even after paying such a huge amount of money the taste was not upto the mark. This korma was made on the tomato puree sauce. The taste of mutton rogan Josh was worst. There is a lot more to write but I think this is sufficient for now to improve at an immediate front. I think K I should have not been charged the quality which is not acceptable. Secondly the delivery of food is not done on time. We have to chase everytime for delivery boy to deliver us on time. I am looking forward for a better delivery of food to the clients.
Amit Vaish
This is hole in a wall . Mainly for Kashmiri food connoisseur. Excellent wazwan .
All the dishes are just perfect . Highly recommended . But don't go by the decor . That's very elementary. I feel perfect for take away .
Aditya Chopra
Any day better than Khyen Chyen food who add extra spices leaving the taste not so authentic! But I loved Kashmiri kitchen and the Mutton Mirch Korma is to die for. Super good food.

Very courteous staff and delivery boys.
Bhuvan Vikram Singh
Authentic kashmiri food . Yummy Yummy Yummy !!!. Tried Rishta, Rogan josh, Chicken Yakkhini n Gostaba.Hard to write down which one I loved the most. The mother daughter duo are doing a brilliant job.So if you wanna try authentic kashmiri delicacies, you know where to come.

Have been trying to find places that serve regional cuisines in Delhi since quite some time now and I'm always in the hunt for authenticity and flavor.

My search for the same brought me to Kashmiri Kitchen in DLF Phase 4, Gurgaon. Heard about the place from a friend and I decided to convince a small group of friends and order in one night. The delivery came on time, but the packaging was a bit loose and leaked oil around. Nevertheless, we were excited to enjoy the food.

• Kokur Rogan Josh
Chicken cooked in Kashmiri spices and gravy with red condiments. The dish was not very bad, but definitely seemed a little unhealthy. Not for the faint of heart indeed.

• Hareesa
Kashmiri Mutton Stew that resembles pretty much Haleem, this is a breakfast dish majorly and is very tasty except for the amount of oil that goes into making it.

• Zaffran Phirni
Loved the taste of the Phirni and the authenticity with which they had made it. Sure was a great dessert to order.

Overall, the place has made a decent attempt to bring the Kashmiri cuisine out here in Delhi.
Vipul Bhargava
Very sad experience, both the dishes were uncooked and the meat was hard that you could not even bite into. We returned one dish and did serve the other as guests were over. Will never order again !
Harsha Gulani
Friends if you are planning to order from this place, please make sure that you give them 2 3 hours to prepare your food or they might even forget to deliver. Yes..!! You read it right 2 3 hours. The service is slow and pathetic. I placed my order at 9pm and when I called at 10:30pm they initially said it is almost out for delivery. After waiting for half n hour when I checked again, the staff confirmed that it will be out for delivery in next 15mins.
Kashmiri Kitchen team if you can't deliver the orders you should not take the orders at the first go. Highly disappointed

I wanted to try Kashmiri Cuisine badly, however I got the opportunity yesterday. I was bit skeptical about how it will taste, so I ordered small portion of Rogan Josh & Chicken chilly Korma along with Plain tandoori breads. The order reached within the said timeframe i.e. 45 mins. I liked the concept where in they attach big sticker of Kashmiri Kitchen & the name of the dish on the top of the packaging. Both were well done. I liked Rogan Josh more because the gravy was so well done.

I would appreciate if they work upon packaging. Apart from it, I had a wonderful experience.

Being a vegetarian, I was not sure of Kashmiri Cuisine for us. I got to first interact with this cuisine first time yesterday for the review.
I was delighted to know that they have wide variety of vegetarian dishes as well.
I got to taste Tsok Wangan (Like Baigan Masalan) and Aloo dum with Phulkas. I also got Aloo Mund (Kashmiri French fries).
Apart from Fancy names, I appreciate the different look and taste of the dishes.
Kashmiris put lot of butter in their food to keep warm in winters, which was evident from the food. Inspite of being loaded with butter , it did not taste extra and was properly gelled with the taste.
Loved the cuisine and the authenticity with which the restaurant tried to make it. :)
Kaushik Banerjee
Being a hardcore non vegetarian, Kashmiri cuisine is always one of my favorite cuisine. The uses of dry spices in kashmiri foods creates a different distinctive atmosphere Without burning a hole in pocket. But it is not available as like the mughlai cuisine. So to solve that problem, kashmiri kitchen brings us different dishes from kashmir on the heart of Gurgaon. And that too without burning a hole in pocket.

Recently I availed the home delivery of kashmiri kitchen for my dinner. The Mutton roganjosh was cooked perfectly with garam masala, yogurt other spices! Gravy was thick red as it should be. Lesser oil could have been used or Ghee can be use instead of oil for better taste! Chicken kanti was a starter I enjoyed. Tangy, juicy, soft and spicy !

Chicken mirchi korma was okeish. It was spicy for the use of red chilli! But the flavor and smell was missing. Need some improvement.

Overall good experience. Next time I will look forward to taste goshtaba, mutton aab ghost, badaam korma and waza trami platter!

Follow me @wanderlust_kaushik on Instagram and foodandtravel.in for more travelgram and foodventure!

This Sunday we planned to have a no cooking day so we planned to try something different cuisine and thought to have Kashmiri food from Kashmir Kitchen located in DLF Phase 4 near to Iffco chowk metro station.

We ordered Kashmirs Dum aloo and Tsok Wangan which is small fried eggplant cooked in Taramind based gravy with Cumin Seeds. Preparations was very good, great flavor of Kashmir spices tastes great.

As we all know dum aloo are very famous vegetarian dishes in Kashmir so we ordered Dum aloo which was also nicely fried and served in spicy thick gravy.

In desserts we had Phirni which is also has less sugar very tasty.

For Delivery they told 45 minutes and its bang on time.

Overall food was great and reminds me the days we spent in Kashmir and people who love to have Kashmiri food the this place is highly recommended for you.

One distinctive thing that you can easily notice about this small place is the behaviour of the staff and the owner. They all are really warm. I tried a lot of food items from the menu and they all had very different and refreshing taste. Chicken Biryani is must, although it is more of a pulao but it tastes very fresh. You can have a chat with the staff about your taste and what you should order and they will be more than happy in sorting your order. They are really honest with their suggestions. Also, I believe that the cost is very reasonable.
Shatabdi Siman
Honestly I cant Believe how u have managed to run this place... You guys are the epic Cheaters n deceivers I must say.. at least deliver what one has ordered..n the taste of your food..bizarre.. You have charged me for a high-value dish n sent me the cheapest thing on your menu..i mean is that your integrity?! Ordering your food is one the worst decisions I 've take this year! A full 5 i would be giving this food joint. The reason lies obvious. They have a superb mixture of timely delivery, lovely packaging and dwfinitely super tastes. I loved their phirni and the mutton balls. The food was cooked superbly. Absolutely soft and juicy, i loved the mutton preparation.

India is a country with diverse culture and heritage. It also has excelled in producing a gamut of cuisine one can think of. As the dialect changes every 100 miles so does the taste.

Kashmir , being one of the beautiful state, offers an array of some quintessential delicacies which can only be savoured once you are there. To fill the gap recently few Kashmiri Joints have come up to let their patrons rejoice and devour the authenticity.

Kashmiri Kitchen tops the chart amongst them. Recently my hunger pangs have let me order some scrumptuous meal from this place.

For me kashmiri delicacy has one name and that is Rogan Josh. So I ordered Gosht taba along with Rogan Josh. Gosht Taba had a very subtle yet smooth texture however Rogan josh was spicy with all the fury. Tawa roti was an excellent combination to go along.

I must say a fine kitchen which has so much to offer can't be left out.
