Malabar never disappoints, we usually order from here. My favourites are Chicken biryani, appam and egg curry. My partner always orders kappa and meen curry. The food is delicious and of good quantity. This year, I order Onam Sadhya too and it was neatly packed and quantity of so much that three of us ate from one Sadhya.
I started ordering from this place 2 years ago and I have never stopped ordering from them. This place is like literally 10 mins away from the place I have moved in recently. And whenever I feel like eating authentic Kerala food I order from this place, from parottas with chicken curry to mor curry and sambhar the taste is amazingly good and authentic. Being a Malayali I can vouch for that, surprisingly enough the place is run by people who are not from South😁. Every month I order the chicken biryani , Parotta and chicken curry, if I feel like eating something simple and light on the stomach and yet tasty meal. I order the mor curry and red rice.. The taste and quality have been consistent with each order not once have I been disappointed.
Good one... best space for fooding with family
Malabar as the name suggests its my favourite outlet for South Indian this Restaurant is especially famous for Appams, Malabari Paratha, Chicken Curry, Buttermilk, Vegetable Stew & Kothu Parathas etc.
So what i had was
Malabar non veg signature thali which included dishes like
1.1 Appam/Kerala parotta
2. 1 bowl Steamed rice white
3. Malabar special chicken curry
4. Nadan fish curry
5.Avial
6.Sambhar
7.Rasam
8.Papad
9.Achar
10.Payasm
I can not resist without dosa if I visit any South Indian outlet. They have a huge variety of Dosa but I prefer Masala Dosa though i tried Chicken for the first time but not so happy with that.
Ambience is good and nicely decorated,Staff person are nice & polite. However, food is what I see in a restaurant mainly but the way they present it is awesome it looks very presentable.
The food is simply delicious!!!
I am here in Gurgaon since a few weeks and I had my tummy crying for some Kerala style biriyani (a perfect jugalbandi of some salad, pickle and the mighty papadam). Malabar taste buds is the first Kerala restaurant I had tried and trust me it’s the chicken and the masala that pushed me write this review. The biriyani is yum and the wonderful sleep after my tummy was ...was really a great one. Please do try it for once !!!!!!
Consistently good food. We’ve been ordering from this place for quite sometime now. Mutton Coconut Fry and Mutton Biryani are delicious. I would like to try test of the dishes.
I used to go all the way from gurgaon to INA market for porotta and beef fry. But this place is the most amazing discovery. Their stock is better than that of INA's, not at the same pocket pinch though. It is comparatively expensive but the food is worth everything. However, I have one problem, they don't deliver to dlf phase 5. I don't know why. I have tried so many times through zomato but it always comes as currently not delivering to your location. I wish I could get their food without much of an extra charge at the comfort of my home.
Was here today at Malabar taste bud, I must say the food is really good. So we ordered-
Chettinad chicken curry
Malabar special chicken curry
Malabar parotta
Appam
Fish curry
Chicken 65
And I must say the ambience was good and service was good and staff is very polite and courteous.
It’s a must visit place. Do try!!!!
Service- 5/5
Ambience- 5/5
Food- 5/5
We were a group of around 6 persons we loved every dish. Just wished there could be less spicy options for people who can’t tolerate much red and green chillies. If some more non spicy options are added it will be vaikunth.(perfect everlasting heaven)
Surprisingly tasty. Chettinad chicken has slightly sweetish and coconuty taste. Have it with Malabar Parantha.
Went here for team lunch. Usually we go to their branch near Medanta but this one has more comfortable seating & ambience. Food is good here and very pocket friendly. 9 of us ‘feasted’ here on chicken curry, porotta, appam, stew & biriyanis for 2.7K! It’s expensive than the one opposite Medanta but then the ambience is worth it.
Came here for Kerala traditional Thali meals. Most of the items were good and tasted traditional except for a few. Nice ambience and descent pricing as well. We had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait. Definitely recommended for mallus.
Mistakenly came here and found that it was delivery only location.. dining was somewhere else..
but staff was accommodative to give me a small table to eat as I was alone. Food was pretty decent.. enjoyed the trip
Thanks MTB
All.
This is a delivery only point.please don't visit for dining
Good food. Value for money. Service was quick. Biryani is a must try! The best part is the small complementary dessert.
Onasadhya was amazing !
*Won't be available all days
Normal days: Malabar special chicken curry, appam, chicken 65 (crispy )
I have been a loyal customer of Malabar Taste Buds for about 2,3 years now. Its my go to place for authentic Kerala food in Gurgaon. Its sad that you have removed Payasam from your menus on Swiggy and Zomato. Its my humble request to please bring back on the menu, the delicious varieties of Payasam that you used to serve.
The food here is just amazing. It's a home away from home for me being a Keralite living away. There is variety and the taste is just like what you get in Kerala. This is by far one of the best restaurant serving authentic cuisine. I would strongly recommend this place to everyone who is tired of eating same kind of food in the name of South Indian food. The food would blow your mind and you would want to thank me for saving a trip to Kerala.
Perfect South Indian experience. Delicious Kerala food in Gurgaon. Taste is very good although ambience is quite basic but I must say if you love eating Kerala cuisine then it is a must visit restaurant. Lots of food options available. Must try their special thali and vegetable stew with Malabar porrotta. 5 stars for it's taste and food quality.
Reasonably good place serving kerala cuisine. We tried Rasam which was not so good, felt like made from a rasam powder, I expected it to be more authentic. Onion bhajias were OKish.
Roasted prawns we're nice (this comes with thick gravy to go with paratha) and so was paneer chettinad. Malabar paratha was very good. They serve complimentary fried papad chips and sweet kheer.
In the end it was filling experience at reasonable cost.
