Review Dck Dana Choga''s Kitchen - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

First time here in the Sec 56 neighborhood and loved the taste of DCK. Tried their special: Paneer Adrak Hara dhania (MUST TRY) and chicken chatkara (flavor is delightfully different from usual chicken dishes). For appetizers, Afghani chicken was very soft and cheesy. Nice and comfortable seating and pleasant staff.

Same ambience. Nice and quiet. Stomach filling food with abit over prices But it's worth repeating

Lovely food . Good portions and pocket friendly. Serves both veg and non curries in North Indian style. A good place to order when you want soul food. Loved the Dal Makhni and their year for one are enough to fill one's belly. Good for eating out too.

Nice Place to have northern Indian cuisine They only serves North India Cuisine This Restaurant also offer floor for private parties at affordable rates. Food Quality and Quantity both are good, this place also offer discounts on food menu. This Place also serves unique starter.

They serve real authentic Indian food. The restaurant in Sec 56 Gurgaon is little small but enough to accomodate 20-25 people. Must try 'Dal makhni', one of the best dal makhni' I have tasted, equallent to five star hotel.

I am an avid fan of their Shahi paneer which is very creamy and not to sweet just the way I like it. The pindi choley are also lip smacking it is not too oily and less spicy and thanks to that even the elders in my home with BP problem can enjoy the meal. The main highlight for me was their veg biryani which tasted really awesome.

Been here few times with colleagues and been a decent experience till date. Excellent food and very good service. But the place is very crowded and there is too much noise.

The food here is better than your typical dhaba, although you pay for that. Their Treat for One option and Thalis are good, especially the Dumdaar Aloo meal. You can't go wrong with Dal Makhani or their Paneer Adrak Hara Dhaniya and their lal mirch Rampuri Paranthe taste great. Their Dum Biryani is also notable.

If Ordering food it has proved to be one of the best quality veg and non vegetarian north Indian food . Has many single person menu and combo options Paneer dishes are the best

Good to visit restaurant (sec56, gurgaon), however expect not very quick service n laid back attitude of staff and the ambience has much scope to be improved. Food is overall above avg.

Their chicken dishes are amazing. We went to eat post 12, they still served us food w the same hospitality.

When you work overtime you expect a good meal especially if this is a dinner. As a child I am hooked to the brand Dana Choga and something which cannot go wrong.<br/><br/>I ordered Dal Makhni, Paneer tikka masala, 4 butter rotis and 1 butter naan. The daal had too much salt, the rotis were stinking really bad. Paneer was okay. Naan was stretchy..<br/><br/>I think If I could store name of this restaurant as a reminder, I will never order from here again..<br/><br/>Really really sad :(<br/><br/>

I love Dana Choga's Kitchen chain for their north Indian food... consistency in taste is the key that brings me here every time I think of eating out . Kadai Paneer is my favorite.

Hi, I have been a regular customer of Dana Choga kitchen and I have been ordering food and picking up dinner for the last 4 years. But, I was shocked when I had the food they delivered today. I ordered a chicken roll and a paneer roll. Both were stale and really not edible. The chicken was definitely old and stale and there was no egg in the roll. It was a very bad experience and I think I will never ever order from Dana Choga again and will spread the word that they serve stale food. Even Zomato is equally a culprit in all this. They never checked the quality of food. Overall a very bad and unforgettable experience.

Very sad experience. Ordered food on a Monday evening. The restaurant is about 11 min. drive from my place (according to Google Maps). At 9 PM I received the notification that my food would be on the way. At 11 PM still no sign of it. It is actually the first time that I experienced a fake delivery in the food delivery business but I guess anything is possible. Luckily, the order was COD, so at least no money lost.  Absolutely poor experience, leaving customers hungry.<br/>After 3 hours without delivery the status was updated to delivered. What a fake nonsense. Worst service ever.

I ordered kadhai paneer and lacha parantha and paneer chulcha on 3 rd may night. The entire food was pathetic and i even vomited eating that unhygienic and stale food. The breads were only maida and not at all eatable. Full waste of money.

A restaurant which always stays up to their mark. <br/><br/>We had ordered afghani chicken, Dal Makhni and Roti! <br/>The quantity of the food was a bit lesser than expected with respect to the price. <br/>But never the less the delivery was before time and the delivery boy a representative of DCK was very humble. Provided us with extra green chutney as well.

We ordered 3 plates of dal with less spicy.we were given only boiled chana dal which did not had even pinch of salt. Very disgusting. 1 st experince with zomato was too bad.<br/>

DCK is our favorite place to grab a quick bite or a meal. We have been fans of their kebabs n thalis, and went today to try their navratra thali. Delighted as always, the food had a blissful taste n freshness. The thali had Puri, paneer subji, aaloos, pineapple raita n pumpkin halwa. The entire contents were freshly prepared, priced at 240 per thali, it was a steal. Keep up the good work DCK!

We walked into this place to have a hearty dinner but it turned out a disaster for us. At first, all the empty tables were dirty. We had to ask twice to get the table cleaned. So after the table got cleaned, we sat to order : dal makhani, paneer adhrak dhaniya and some breads to go with it.<br/>Now, the paneer served was with lots of extra live in the form of salt. Upon Asking it was taken back to be rectified. But it didn't finish there...we tasted our dal and it was bland. Now while we waited for the paneer to come, we checked with the guy at the counter, so to our surprise he said dal aise hi banta hai yahan,u have table salt in your table, pls sprinkle it. To our horror, we didn't step inthat place to hear that. Phhewww !!!<br/>And then arrives our paneer and we we're done with eating our breads ( left what was outside the plate) with onions and chutney.<br/>We just got up, got the paneer packed and proceeded to pay and again we were handled over the entire bill with taxes. For what??? That amazing dinner. What did we do to deserve that food on Earth. Well after much debate, we paid for paneer to the fellow on the counter. And left.<br/><br/>Owners if you read this, pls do not disappoint your walk in customers like this. We left with very bad taste last night.

Order was suppose to be received in 30 min, delayed till 1 hours , called restaurant , they had no clue, tried Zamato chat option only to be waiting endlessley and finally when order came , the food was opened and split in the carry bag. Pathetic is all I can say, time has come to move away from zamato not only because their restaurants behave like this, but their own conduct and taken for granted attitude is a reflection of bad customer service

The food came very late. I ordered butter and garlic naan but they were not cooked well. They were raw from the corners. Jeera rice was also uncooked. Highly disappointed with the food. I will never order again from this restaurant.

Immensely tasty chicken chatkara & pineapple raita! Ordering from here always ends up to be a happy meal. The delivery although needs serious improvement.

I was really disappointed with dck today.. ordered tawa butter roti which were so hard that I had to throw them away. The taste of the chicken was also not up to dck standards. Spending money on this kind of food seems like such a waste!!

An average restaurant with an average food...... service and delivery both are slow but the food is nice. Don't go for the beverages as they are very disappointing

I keep ordering from this place and their chana masala has apparently become my all time favourite. There are things like their paneer delicacies and butter chicken that are worth the mention, but one thing that i keep repeating in my orders is the chana masala. Kudos to that

Good food and fast service you can get at Dana Chugga. the taste and quality was great. I try this outlet many times and the quality and taste was good always. I would highly recommend this place.

Worst dining experience.... worst butter chicken, worst pav bhaji and with icing on the cake was dumb staff with no sense of customer service...real reason now a days we get to see less outlets around us...

Pathetic customer service .being a late night restaurant i ordered food at 12:00 in the night and waited for 2 hrs for my food to get delivered but in vain i received nothing and order never came and was i think eaten by a delivery executive. Will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Danachoga accepted whatever they cannot commit to deliver. Then do the replacement of food but Zomato keep the difference of money in Zomato’s wallet as meal that had been ordered was of less amount. Moreover they used Foodpanda delivery material for the delivery and definitely send the order with the wrong invoice to keep the rest of money.<br/><br/>And in the last, Zomato says to me- ‘Hope to serve u better next time’. ( we are helpless guys can’t do anything, customer need to bear us) 😛😛😛

We often get food delivered from Dana Choga kitchen. The dal makhni was awesome. The butter roti was soft and hot at the time of delivery . We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner

Ordered food last night from this restaurant. Mutton pieces in Rogan Josh was so hard that even knife couldn't break it. Chicken was just so so, and quantity was a shame. Better avoid this restaurant.

There was nothing good at all about the paneer tikka delivered. First off it was not properly cooked. Some paneer pieces were not even cooked. Vegetables were not proportionally enough, they were meek and underput. Presentation & portion size was also poor. When I said nothing good at all, I meant it. Such low players playing at high prices should be avoided. Please improve on quality & presentation.

Visited this place with my friends for lunch. The ambience was good and staff was really corteous and welcoming. Prices should be more reasonable. We had paneer makhni, dal makhni, lachha parantha, missi Roti and raita. Food was really good.

Its worst place for delivery orders. Not recommended. On delivery they send very poor and cheap quality of food with lesser quantity of food. Never recommended.

I ordered(Thali-worth Rs. 215) today from DCK. Worst packing. No branding of DCK anywhere on given order..it was looking like an order from a local store worth 50-60 Rs thali.<br/>Talked to DCK guys they said Printing bags were not available..Print on Thali was not available..Print on glass bottle was not available.....how is it possible all printed were not there at a time?????<br/><br/>I think there is major gap in delivery..order doesn't seems to be from DCK.<br/><br/>Attached pics from reference.

Had ordered food for my parents and expected delivery time was 1hr.<br/>They were so careless and irresponsible that they were not aware of the order till an hour's time and the food was delivered after 3 hrs of waiting in the night at 12:15.<br/>Worst delivery experience ever.<br/>It really does not makes sense to deliver good food after making someone wait for that long.it was useless and a waste of money for me.<br/>

Have to say that the items are over priced when it comes to taste though at the first glance they will give you an overwhelming impresion but you will have a 360 degree change of opinion when it would come to taste. Ordered shahi thali and believe me the experience did not go well. Spicy ness was more than what it should have been. Having a feeling of more of colour into the gravy. Not value for money. Had a saviour as earlier i was planning to order murg makhani.

Ordered beverages via swiggy. Timely delivery though the packaging was poor as the straws were crushed. Masala lemonade and mint mojito was really nice and refreshing. Overall a good experience.

Food was not good at all. There was no salt and the Dal was watery as if they had added more water because Dal makhani is generally thick. Paneer was bland and garlic naa had no taste of garlic. Overall spoiled the mood on my special day with the food that was served

Not in anyways comparable with dlf phase 1 outlet of dana choga. Have been eating there since 2006. Love their food at dlf phase 1. Never ever experienced change in food taste at dlf phase 1 outlet in last 12 years. However, got dal makhani from sector 56 outlet, and it was totally bland. Also, quantity seems to be significantly less than dlf phase 1 outlet. Hope you can improve and would then love to provide a higher rating. Thanks.

Had Oder paneer tikka thali and veg Biriyani <br/>Thali -quantity and taste both were really disappointing.<br/>Tandoori roti,dalmakhni ,paneer non of them were good in taste and on the name of mix veg only beans and carrots was there .<br/>Butter roti was half cooked and not eatable <br/>Biriyani was filled with beans and carrots <br/>The total cost of Oder equivalent to buffet and it was not value for money.<br/>I didn’t even eat it properly <br/>

Very disappointed with the way they handled my last order. Food took 45 mn extra to get prepared and on the top of it no1 provided right status of the food delivery. I requested extra cutlery on request to the phone operator of Dana Choga but the same was missing from the package delivered. Anyways the food arrived was far from hot, lachha paranthas got so soggy that one could not eat it and most importantly the guests were long gone before the food was delivered.

I like your restaurant. The quality of food is really good. And my favourite dish is Butter Chicken. Nonetheless, it’s a lil compact. If you find a better and feasible place around the same locality, please shift your restaurant there. :)

Order one Punjabi mini thali and paneer hara dhaniya....but have to say Dana choga food standard is decrease so badly and the food u people deliver is really bad so try to maintain the same for which u famous for bcz food taste and quantity is just waste our money and lunch...

They  asked me to send a photograph to confirm.<br/>And within 20 mins, they sent the entire order to me again.<br/><br/>Very impressed by their customer service! I wish I had more stars for that.

As always amazing food and great service. Apart from regular dal makhani and butter chicken I ordered chicken Taka-tak - and it was amazing. Always on time and full of flavor and taste. Highly recommended

Was looking for a different place to order butterchicken from, and DCK was the best choice. Loved their butterchicken, it was not sweet like a regular butterchicken it was just the right amount tomatoey. Definitely my favourite butterchicken in Gurgaon. Hats off to the chef!

The vegetable biryani was nice and tasted good. The dum biryani was aromatic but lacked the multicolored rice which is trademark of a biryani. Both were delectable to the pallette.Chocolate Malpua was also delivered hot and had the right amount of sweetness. Overall, the meal was worth it's value.

The name is Choga…… Dana Choga!<br/><br/>Dana Choga came into being in 1994 by the Chandok Couple in Delhi and became a rage in town with sworn fan following for its food, taste and hatke cuisine! Then it transformed itself as DCK in early 2010s and branched out all over NCR in a QSR cum Quick delivery outlet format with the famed base line those days that if your food doesn’t reach you in 45 minutes, you will get it free 😊 <br/><br/>Well a lot of water has flown below the bridge from those days of yore and Dana Choga or DCK in the new nomenclature is chugging along now. To be frank, I still love the Dana Choga of yore which has many nostalgic memories and hence thought lets order from them and revisit the utopia 😉 <br/><br/>Their Menu almost looks the same from the 90s with few variations of zaika of course and some new additions too to keep them abreast of the rest in the game I suppose. Different types of chicken and mutton in non veg, many kebabs and tikkas in Veg, Biriyani variangts, dessert section and the works. But we cudnt get the old taste which we were accustomed to or may be we are too biased about our Nostalgia with the DC of yore 😎  It was tasty no doubt but not to what we were used to in the 90s. Packaging is OK. Pricing is also somewhat OK. Portions are good. No cutlery..may be cost cutting no idea! But over all it was a NOT BAD experience. <br/><br/>The summation is Not Bad. But that looks kind of odd when you are looking forward to Great Experience! Which does NOT mean it was average….it was definitely good but could have been better 😃

I usually order food from DCK. I really like the kadhai paneer and paneer adrak hara dhaniya. The dal makhani is okay and paneer butter masala is not really upto my liking. The garlic naan and butter naan are both decent.<br/>I do like the chocolate malpua and gulab jamun, however, the price point could be slightly lower for these two.<br/>What I don't like about this joint is the packaging. The flimsy plastic containers sort of get mangled with the hot food. I get this uneasy feeling that something harmful is leeching into the food. I do hope they start using better quality containers for delivery.

Had the DCK special chatkara chicken with Rumali Roti. Clean and hygienic place, Great Food, good quantity, curtious staff. Speed of service can be improved.
