Review Dosa Plaza - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Rohit Kumar
Delicious and Authentic south indian food in a beautifully decorated ambient place!!! Ordered Veg Manchow soup, Masala Dosa, Veg Uttapam and Filter Coffee for our lunch. Absolutely loved the taste and flavours of each food item especially the Sambhar and the coconut chutney. Very relaxing and soothing ambience. See for yourself in attached pics. Courteous staff. P.S : visited sec 83, Gurgaon branch.

The place is good, you can fine variety of dosa along with uttapam and other South Indian items... Staff is polite easily commutable one thing I think can be better is sambar bowl...bowl only contain little sambar that if one has to eat full dosa u need to ask atleast 2-3 times sambar... Bus different types of dosa like spring roll dosa or American dosa have good taste and one must try.

Amazing South Indian specialised restaurant. Recommendable to all.

Sapphire is a good place to hangout if you live near by. Best is you just grab dosa here because rest of the options arent up to the mark.

Good place to get authentic dosa, idli and most South Indian delicacies. The sambar is very little in quantity though. Slow paced but everything is fresh and delicious. Little patience is required.

The place is really nice. Food was delicious. They have all varieties of dosas, uttapam, idli, chutneys etc. Food quality was really good. Above all, the service was really fast. Actually there is self service as you only have to pick your food from the counter, but they took very little time in preparing the order. We were to watch movie after dinner and told them while placing order to keep it quick, and they did it. Within half an hour we had placed the order, had dinner and left the place. We had multiple orders and everything was ready just in time. Their masala dosa was awesomely crisp, veg uttapam was delicious, idli was fuller. Chutneys and sambar was also fresh and good. So really big thumbs up to them.

This was a very cosy and comfortable restaurant. The menu envisages almost every dish you can imagine but the most amazing part is, that dish would be on a 'DOSA'. Mexican, American, Chinese all cuisine mixes of dosa. We ordered a couple of them and it turned out to be good. 5 star for the creativity. And the wall painting in the restaurant was interesting.

Awesome food, nice layout and polite staff.

Odd timings but feeling hungry, exploring a Chinese option from a south indian delight bit this south indian delight is much different then others with the variant it is serving and taste and uniformity. The Chinese product was fresh, with fresh soft manchurian balls which you find rare these days in cafe's. Would love to explore more for sure.

This place offers south indian cusine at a cheap rate.<br/>No seating is available. Few tables are set up outside the place for people to stand and eat.<br/>I went to have dosa for lunch but was not much appealing.<br/>The sambhar seemed like not fresh and chutney was not upto the mark too.<br/>
Rajeev
A great dosa restaurant. We ordered dosas, which were tasty, fast, and quite inexpensive with large portion sizes. The sambar with the dosa was quite good.<br/>The service here was also good.<br/>Highly recommend for any dosa-cravers!

It was a wonderful eatery with fusion dosas ! Really loved Mexican and Chinese ones. Recently came to know that it has been shut down, which was a big surprise as it was quite popular !!

I tried their American Delight dosa meal which had dosa,2 vadas and a cold drink.<br/>Dosa was very delicious and the fillings in it were amazing. It is basically in the form of 4 pockets with veg stuffing and sauces in it and covered in a layer of dosa.<br/><br/>Definitly worth a try but slightly overpriced. It is enough for 2 persons.<br/><br/>This dosa plaza is in the fold court of Ambience mall,Gurgaon .

Well If you are at ambience mall food court, and not trying these dosas, then you are gonna miss a lot.<br/>This place serves amazing dosas, with fusion of various cusines with south indian... My personal favourite... mexican dosa....yum yum<br/>I cant forget the taste<br/>My mouth is watering as I am writing this review.<br/>Loved it<br/>Must must try.

Ordered Chennai Idli, Garlic roast dosa and a Masala dosa. Everything was tasty. The idlis were fresh and soft. I really liked the garlic roast dosa. Also, the Sambhar that they served was much better than those watery Sambhar you get at many restaurants.

DOSA PLAZA just nailed it this time !! <br/><br/>their Mysore dosa and masala uttapam was 10/10 really good and one of the best dosas I've eaten in and around Delhi ! <br/><br/>its a quick bites so not much about ambience but food is surely something to savour on and with a large menu <br/><br/>good work DOSA PLAZA

I am much disappointed with the Dosa Plaza here at Ambience. I have had the service of the same franchise at Nerul, Mumbai and have loved the food there! I ordered an American Choupsey Dosa with a Lemoni here, and ended up with a dosa with plain noodles in it and a drink which probably just had soda and masala in it. The person at the counter was not at all pleasant and didn't listen to any of my complaints and just tried to shoo me away. Please don't ruin the name of your franchise that I have loved for the past so many years. :'(

Fusion of Dosa and mexican flavours..🍴<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Still wondering what it is?<br/>This is a mexican roast dosa combo<br/>Which consists of a mexican style dosa stuffed with lots of mayonnaise and cheese and veggies ; sambar ; Cold drink ; Medu vadas ; coconut chutney 🥗<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Loved the experience over there<br/>You guys should go and this thing out 🍲<br/>.<br/>.<br/>A new innovation to dosa 🍜<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Follow us on instagram:bhukkadbrothers

I have tried dosa plaza earlier this outlet serves varieties of dosa, taste wise they have gud fillings, however I didn't like their chutney and sambhar is also bland,, on tip of that dosa plaza is super expensive you would land up paying rs 250 approx for 1 cosas, no@t that worth.I ordered from another concept based resturant called Insta Dozza in Dlf cyber city who has different varieties and trust me they are 1/4 price with awesome quality.

This place is in the food court of ambience mall.We went there for lunch.. the menu gives you a lot of options..then we ordered spring dosa.. it was different from usually what we order.. we liked the taste of it.. you should try this place if you are a dosa fan..
Food Lover
If you are thinking about dosa or South Indian food, dosa plaza, ambience mall is a great place. Love to mysore masala dosa & paneer onion uttapam. Coconut chutney is so yummy sambar taste good. Will visit again.

Fusion of dosa is the thing you look at these outlets. It is favorite place to have a south indian meal. There is huge variety of dosa and each and every has its unique taste. The sambar served with it, is tasty and thick. You get authentic taste of spices in it. When it comes to rice, I just love the tomato and lemon rice. Even sambar rice is also a great combination meal to have. If you are a caffeine lover then do try the filter coffee.

Food quality is good, amience is prominent as it is shared among the Food Union.<br/>OK ok kind of experience for South Indian food. IDLI was hard, as it should not be.

The food court of Ambience mall is one of the oldest and still a crowded place in Gurgaon. The variety of cuisines attract a lot of people here. Went there on a weekend with my friends and tried several places. Dosa Plaza was one of them.<br/><br/>You need to get a common card recharged for almost all these outlets seen in most of the food courts. We ordered a Rawa Masala Dosa and it was decently priced. <br/><br/>Within a few minutes, got the order. ( It's a self service place)<br/><br/>The Dosa looked good from the outside and had a nice texture. They served the Dosa along with white coconut chutney, orange chutney and of course the Sambhar. It was nice to taste and the inside was also decent. Sambhar and the chutneys were quite decent.<br/><br/>VERDICT<br/><br/>A small Dosa outlet which makes decent Dosas at a decent price. Don't expect exquisite south Indian cuisine here.
Jaishree Sahay
The ambience of dosa plaza was awesome.<br/>i tried mysore msala dosa with cheese..<br/>it was so yummy..i love south indian food so i tried dosa in so many place but this dosa was so good.<br/>I just love it !!😍

I tried the American Paneer Dosa combo here. I was served the dosa along with three vadas and a pepsi. The vadas and the dosa were undercooked and unpalatable. The sambhar also wasn't tasting good. The coconut chutney served had gone stale. Overall not recommended.
Rohan
So, i tried one rawa masala dosa. Sambar was too watery and lacked taste . Coconut chutney was also not good. They should also start serving tomato chutney with dosa. And coming to the dosa, it was also average.

When it comes to South Indian I would say ambiance mall has a option or two to go for…<br/>Dosa plaza I would say is the average one serving a meager decent range of south Indian stuff… <br/>Earlier I have tried their plain dosa, which I found pretty decent and considering the fact the sambhar they serve is nice along with some average tasting chuttneys there is nothing wow about the overall servings…<br/><br/>Recently even my average opinion changed to bad when I had a plate of idlis. The idlis are like the very basic preparations and even the street stalls manage to prepare them nicely…but to my surprise they served some big and fat idlis that were under cooked from the center and u could taste the dough while u eat so with no option left we have to leave the dish as it is without finishing…<br/><br/>I definitely wouldn’t like to neither visit this one again nor would I recommend it to anybody else.

I love south Indian food.<br/>But I just hate the dosa dishes served here.<br/>They tried experimenting on dosa and I believe they have failed miserably.<br/>Overpriced<br/>Poor taste<br/>I'll never visit this place again.

Best place for south Indian food with it's international touch. A complete mouth watering international taste. Russian Salad Roast Dosa is my evergreen favourite dish of Dosa Plaza. I'm in love with it's international touch. Just love this outlet.
EMpea
If you are a South Indian food lover then this place is made for you and if you want to have some fusion south Indian then stand up and enjoy some Delecious food there. <br/>A place where you can enjoy Chilly paneer dosa, how one can imagine a combo of Chinese food and South Indian food!? <br/>😍 <br/>But this is the place where you can enjoy some quality food at a reasonable price!
Food Sultan
Ambience mall has so many food outlets ..have tried most of them...just saw this one in food court ...I had masala dosa n veg Utpam ...average food but quickly delivered ...will try again sometime...
Ramandeep Kaur
The only place where I have had weirdest combinations of dosas! South Indian + Chinese, South Indian + Punjabi <br/>But trust me it tastes amazing.<br/>Schezwan Dosa and Paneer American Choupsey Dosa are my personal favourites.<br/>The quantity is more than sufficient for one person, so order accordingly.<br/>They would force you to convert your order into a meal, but paying so much extra only for 3 pieces of vada and a soft drink isn't really worth it.
Churchil Brothers
One of fusion food varieties to the traditional south Indian dosas are really bad. Dosas like szechuan dosas, American chopsey dosas taste very poor. <br/><br/>Does give unique blend of taste, but in the possibility of bad quality produced ever

I always hated whenever somebody mix dosas and south Indian food with cheese! But when I tried dosa plaza for the first time I had an amazing experience. American dosa, spring roll dosa they both are superb and taste amazing!! The blend of cheese and sauces with dosa is simply spectacular. I personally loved it. You can definitely try it once to figure out your experience

It's too much to expect from this place for an authentic South Indian food. On a Friday evening as advised by my nutritionist I had to have idlis and since ambience Gurgaon doesn't have a good South Indian restaurant I ended up eating here. All in all average food but good service. Don't go with great expectations and you will indeed not be disappointed.
Sagrika Mahajan
Spring roll dosa will make you repeat this place in Ambience Mall's food court.Sambhar n Chutney are also tasty. Please improve vada quality in the combo meal.
Ashok
so called restaurants like these should be shut down, serving old food and turning it into fusion so that customers cant smell, basic idli so hard to eat, sambar was fine dosa was shit <br/>Lady at the counter dont know anything<br/>Not Recommended
Raveen
Absolutely delicious! I only wish they had more of these restaurants in other neighbourhoods.. But I will make another trip to Ambiance Mall soon, just to go have one of these delicious dosas for lunch.
Sunakshi Aggarwal
Well I would rate this place 4.5 for sure. It is located in the food court in ambience mall. The service is quick and nice. Well I would rate the sambar average but the chutney is delicious. I usually go here for their extremely soft and mouth melting mini idlis and moreover my favourite their noodles dosa. It is quite close to the one I use to eat in Bombay and therefore I am pretty satisfied with it. No matter whether I am in the mood for South Indian or not I don't miss eating here if I am in ambience mall.

Huge variety of dosas available on the menu attracted us to try some mix and match flavor of dosa. So after getting confused with so many options, we ordered Chilli Paneer dosa. Though the dosa looked great, but the taste was really poor. Sambhar was so liquidy, so even that didn't helped. Overall not a great experience.
Bhavya Jain
"Its a dosa, dosa world"<br/><br/>We used to really like the concept when we were in college. Never thought about these many ways of serving dosas until I saw their menu. The concept deserves a credit. I know that Sagar Ratna introduced the concepts of their innovative dosas much later.<br/><br/>Spring Roll Dosa is my favorite. I think everybody should try this at least once.
Rahul Shrotriya
It serves south indian food...but the attraction is its creative menu...different varieties of dosas which never heard before...fusion of chinese, american and south indian dosas....schezwan thin dosa, chili garlic dosa, american chopsy dosa, salad dosa, mexican dosa, noodle dosa, mushroom doca, ton chi dosa, mexican uttapam, idli manchurian etc etc...dosas and idli manchurian are great...should try once....overall good

Have read number of stories about Dosa Plaza owner and his work on facebook and Magazines.. his story is really inspiring for all young entrepreneur.<br/><br/>This outlet is located on third floor, among the competitor stores and have common lounge area. <br/><br/>My previous was experience was not good with it. that's why rather ordering the dosa I opted uttapam . It was much better than.

Wow!! Awesome food. Such great ambience and very very yummy food. Dosas are extraordinary. Wonderful service. Uthappams are yummy. Overall this is the best Dosa place in Gurgaon.

After reading the story of Dosa plaza in ‘Connecting the dots’ years ago, I had numerous visits of this place and I am a big fan of Dosa plaza since then.<br/><br/>As this place situated in the common food court sometime it’s really difficult to find the sitting space specially during weekends. The varieties of food here is quite amazing.<br/><br/>We had American Chopsuey dosa, Paneer Chilli Dosa, Red Chilli Dosa, Chinese Delight and madhu vada along with aerated drinks. <br/><br/>I have no words to describe the taste as we never got enough of this place.<br/><br/>A must visit place for all and as the experiment that they do with the food hardly anyone does.

@July'16 1st week<br/> Tried Chinese Delight and Schezwan Dosa. I would give more marks to Schezwan again. Its as good as always.<br/>==================<br/>Madly in Love with DP's Schezwan Dosa..!!<br/>Me and my wife are die hard fan of this outlet, only because of its Schezwan Dosa, which is served no where else in Delhi NCR (Or Might be I am not aware of). They are having a good variety of Dosa's but out of them Schezwan Steals the show. I am being bias and giving this rating just keeping that single dish in mind. If you are a Chinese Lover and wish to try something South Indian with Chinese touch, then do give it a try, you will never feel regretted. <br/><br/>Overall, a must try place..!!

Dosa Plaza<br/><br/>It is in a small counter in the food court of ambience mall. It has great selection of dosas and other sides to go with it.<br/><br/>Food<br/><br/>The sambhar and the chutney are good but their variety of dosas are what steal the show. They have a great selection but we had schezwan dosa and it had a great chinese taste to it which was very different and correct amount of spicy. I was refreshed to have something different and yummyyy...<br/><br/>Their service is quick.<br/><br/>My verdict<br/><br/>Great place..great food...but i felt it to be a little expensive as they donot have a dine-in experience involved..it would be better to keep the prices a little lower so people can try somethng different..<br/><br/>Hope it helped. :)

After having dosa in Bangalore nd Hyderabad fiund dis place in delhi fr gud dosa.<br/>In south these types of dosa are very famous like Mysore Dosa, Chilly Paneer dosa, etc<br/><br/>This place try to provide same type of dosa bt are close to it. <br/>It can wrk as a alternative to d south dosa.<br/><br/>Had Paneer Chilly Dosa from ds place nd found the stuffing really gud nd yummy. The dosa was delicious nd a bit heavy which filled our stomach. <br/><br/>Nyc place fr a change 👍🏼<br/>Cheerz🍻

I am not a big fan of South Indian food, but sometimes you got to try different. We went to this uber cool place called Dosa Plaza and we DO NOT REGRET IT. The menu is quite extensive and besides the usual stuff like Masala Dosa, Rawa Masala Dosa, Idli Sambar etc., the menu boasts of numerous other dishes with distinctive twists. On staff's recommendation, we order Paneer Crispy Dosa. Honestly, it was only 10% Dosa and 90% an awesome crispy pocket of chilly paneer. The twist/fusion really did wonders. In fact the dosa was so good that I did not want to dilute its taste with sambar and chutney. Dahi wada was good, sweet and correctly spiced. Wada was soft and full of texture. Onion and tomato Uttapam was not one of the best I had and was passable. As a huge fan of filter coffee, we could not help but order it. The coffee is served in traditional davarahs and was absolutely up to the mark. A great value for money with the authentic South Indian flavour. In a nutshell, it is a nice place to go for a welcome change. But do not expect anything too great if you are looking for traditional and authentic South Indian cuisine.

This place serves different types of South Indian food. Plain and simple dosas stand out, compared to complex dosa offerings with fillings. Ambience is reflective of a food court. Staff is overall communicative.
Aashish Rai
I tried south Indian platter which contains 3 small idlis, which were tasty, one small wada, which was really small, bit good in taste, one more wada of different kind, one big masala dosa which was too salty and too fermented, one uttapam, again too fermented, may be because it's a humid season.<br/>But at food court of ambience mall, you will not get anything so filling in Rs.250. So, if you are looking for value of money you can try this
NeerajD Dhiman
Endless variety of dosas. I have been here several times, tried so many varieties. And it's really delicious... Good place for all dosa lovers

Finally had a go at last after hearing a lot bout this... frankly speaking as a south Indian I love eating basic dosas .... like paper roast ... masala dosa ... onion rawa etc... I had American delight dosa n szechuan idli... seemed something new n taste buds were like what did I eat... ok u can have try though...
Bharat Singhal
Heard a lot about the place so went ahead and tried it. Ordered a chilly paneer dosa, and honestly for the fusion didn't work out well for me. I neither enjoyed the dosa nor the chilly paneer stuffing. May be it is personal choice but I prefer authentic tastes rather than mixing up cuisines. <br/>But it is worth a try though.

Must Go for Dosa Lover;Exotic Variety of Dosas;Costly place ;Love to go thr many times;Filter coffee is great;Service is just okmay plan a vist for variety of Dosas

I just love this place for their variety of dosas n my favourite is Salsa noodle dosa. This place is a must try if you are a south indian fan.

Menu has good varieties but it doesn't meet the expectations.<br/>Had some spring roll dosa which was full of cabbages that too in a uncooked manner.<br/>They actually use dressings on half cooked or uncooked vegetables. Quality of curries and chutneys were also not upto the mark..<br/>In short we had a bad experience at Dosa plaza. Personally I would recommend you to check out other restaurants in food plaza ( You may check out maharastra food counter if you are fond of crazy Vadapavs!!😜😜)
Pratyush Saran
The spring roll dosa was really good and the staff also was quite humble and were up to the mark. Their masala dosa was also excellent. Way to go!

it was a very good restaurant the quality of food was very good and tasty. <br/><br/>If you love food of South Indian please visit Dosa Plaza.  He provided all south indian item. Never ever eat this type of dosa.so good and so tasty lots of flavors. they provide wide range of variety in dosa which you love it :)

I always go here to have their American Delight Dosa . Its so cheesy and filled with veggies and tastes surprisingly well ! A must try for just 200 bucks. Good portion size for even 2 (depends on the diet) .Have also tried Spring roll dosa and Chinese utapam(average taste) but nothing beats American Delight !

Awesome South Indian platter and Garlic Dosa roasted Masala Dosa! Fast service and the presentation was just awesome!! After long time I ate South Indian and best till now. I recommend South India Platter! A must try!!

Good concept of variety of dosa.. frm Indian to Chinese.. Mexican n what not. Schezwan idli at it's manali outlet was yummmy! I belong to calcutta which is famous for its south indian food.. and after shufting to gurgaon, it was difficult to find good souyh indian food here... until I discoverd dosa plaza outlet at ambience mall.

I was famished, taking a long walk while shopping all around the globe called AMBIENCE MALL, finally or I should say luckily found myself along wid my cousins a couple of seats in the FOOD UNION, tried a shot here, as it ws d 1st tym wasnt expctng much, but resultantly it was amazing.<br/><br/>I orderd a tom chow uttapam and my brothr orderd spanish lite dosa, the presentation and the taste was simply great except the crowd which was 2 much and temperature to rigid, I could enjoy as much the uttapam I can but have 2 say simply unique.<br/><br/>I mean diced and shredded chese on uttapam and the masala on uttapam was as if eating a pizza in the face of uttapam..... unique and admirable. Luvd it.

We frequented Dosa plaza when typically after a movie , popcorn and nachos - we were bit full and wanted to have a lighter meal . The option was either south indian or subway in ambience food court.<br/><br/>Most food courts have a good south Indian option . At dosa plaza , while there are too many amalgamations in terms of dosa mixed with chinese or mexican flavors - it is not of much merit. Instead of enhancing the taste buds , one feels disappointed .<br/><br/>Even the regular south indian is pretty average . Dosa is still ok but the Idli's are really sad so please avoid if you can . The chatni or sambhar is also sad.
Gaurav Sahni
Dosa Plaza serves amazingly delicious "Veg Salsa Noodle Dosa", it is available across their all stores. Stuffed with white cheeze and noodels, the salsa dosa is a boon for the sensual tounge. If you still not had it, you are missing some delicious tasteful buds on the earth!

Who would have thought about giving your regular dosas and uttapams's a twist...???<br/>The variety...the quality...the service...just tooo good!<br/>My agenda is to try all the varieties....out of the ones I have tried...<br/>the mushroom schezwan dosa with mushrooms, noodles and schezwan sauce as th stuffing is wow...!<br/>Idly munchurian has become a regular order now!!!<br/>The bestest...(so far...) has been the Russian salad dosa. With generous stuffing of mayonnaise...this is just irresistable..!!<br/>The Tom chi dosa...though not too disappointing...can b given amiss.<br/>with th dosas served under 5 minutes...hv put this in my fav list.<br/><br/>watch out this space for the rest of the variants on the menu. :-P<br/>
