The Uncle G special naan was awesomely tasty, so was the paneer naan. Will go again for more. The thing i did not like was sitting there, it was hot, I guess AC was not on. Ordering online would be a better option.

Authentic Amritsari Kulchas, just like they serve in Amritsar. Price is ok. Dining area is also okay type.

Had no idea this would also be listed on Zomato, small place in Sadar bazaar but delicious Amritsari kulchas. Must try garlic kulcha with lassi, too good.

This place proves that don't go with look, just step inside once. Although place is little boring I mean not that much up marker but food is A1. If you really looking for proper Punjabi street food go for this place. Pocket friendly too. Love all their stuffs.

We ate here three times - all for lunch. Ordered the paneer paratha, dal makhani and the seasonally available chai. All the times we ate there, the food was really good, tasty and served hot and really fast (within 10mins).
Definitely recommend the paneer paratha.. It was fantastic.
The restaurant was full on Sunday afternoon for lunch, there was a short wait to get a table for some people. The service is also very good.

Dont order from here worst place unhygienic disgusting smelly stale food it should shut down its that bad. Taste is in minus and their food is stale and you will puke

I have ordered allo pyaz naan, it served with butter and chanas, the item is good to fulfill your hungriness but not superb. It is not like reasturant , it is on main road , as like dhaba. It serves 56 types of amritsari kulchas. Hahaha, I not have capacity to taste all. You may try.
Dev Raj
The food taste is down to lowest and nowhere can be termed as Amritsar kulcha. The Chole does not have the tanginess. Really disappointed with the taste.their kulchas filling do not have a taste of its own and adding to that no butter is applied to it. Not worth your time and effort if looking for kulchas.

Absolutely pathetic service. I am waiting for 2 hrs for my order and I am yet to receive.Needless to say what would be the condition of meal even if i receive it. No option to either cancel or get a full refund . Horrible experience.
A very bad experience this time. Kitchen is unhygenic, looks like it has never been cleaned for years. They have not kept the quality upto the mark according to the prices they are charging. Ordered two kulchas today. Both of them were very hard to eat like papads. Will never visit again, also not recommend to anyone.

My father told us about this place. Initially I thought it's a small joint and it will be not as good as we get in murthal. I was totally wrong. It took good amount of time for serving the parthas and culcha but taste is tooooooo good. Really tasty food ..
02 Dec 2016

Old Gurgaon is the place where I always enjoy to local street food, Just saw this Kulcha place and moved into this........ordered two plates Aloo pyaz prantha/Kulcha, and just loved the food, the Kulcha was nice, stuffed and crisp....chole was also good.........great going

Take care, Best Wishes

Being an amritsari I always have this craving of kulcha over weekends.. I heard this place from sources and went there with family... The place is opp gurudwara Sadar Bazar. Ambiance is ok with sitting capacity of 15-20 people max....
talked to the cooks and as per them they learned the skills from Amritsar itself..
However ordered allo kulcha .. The stuffing was nice and the crisp was there... The best kulcha is one which has layers inside it and ever layer have a desi ghee on it .. However that was missing but still I can feel the taste ... Chase was ok
Amritsari kulcha is just allo pyaz and gobhi so in case you want to try then a must place to go and order these basics kulcha and feel the taste.

I will surely visit this place again

This outlet is located in the Sadar Bazar and went their in the afternoon for lunch and ordered aloo pyaz kulcha and Palak paneer kulcha. The service is quick and taste of both of them are good. Rates are also pocket friendly.Good option for having kulcha's. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful breakfast on a lazy weekend few days back. We ordered Special chur chur garlic kulcha, aalu pyaz bhujia kulcha and paneer kulcha, and all tasted very good. Still, I would say Special chur chur garlic kulcha was simply the BEST.....Must try.....
Rohitt
One of the best places ive tried for amritsari kulchas. Tried their amritsari garlic chur chur nan. Really soft , full of flavors.
Chole and onion tangy chutney served along tasted great.
Shall definitely try their other items soon

The Guy on the Tandoor is from Amritsar's famous Kulcha Joint in Guru Bazaar, Jamadar di Haveli and i know him since the Childhood being from Amritsar, The Authenticity of Ambarsari kulcha is well mantained Here.
The Taste of Chhole is little different and the reason is the difference in the taste of Water of Punjab compared to Polluted Gurgaon.I simply Loved the place, advise to everyone, Don't go for any variety and stick to the authentic Aaloo Pyaaz Amritsari Kulcha.

Finally we can have some good amritsari kulchaas without going to Amritsar. Sunny the owner of this place is doing a good job. I had ordered Aloo Kulchas and frankly they were better than amritsar. The only miss is the Channas which the owner himself admits of not having to match with amritsar taste and thats because of the Amritsar water. Rest ill suggest this place to everyone who wants to have some good Kulchas. Keep up the good work Sunny.

Tried this place for breakfast on Sunday morning. Was recommended by a colleague but had never heard of it. Typical dhaba space & till I didn't visit the joint I couldn't believe that they have 56 types of amritsari kulchas. Amazing preparation! Chanas were great too! Sweet lassi added to the flavor! Each kulcha tasted different. We tried something super exciting - Baby corn + paneer + matar + methi kulcha - out of this world. The only problem is that you can't possibly sit here and eat during summers because they have an open kitchen and the heat of the tandoor also comes into the seating area which makes sitting there unbearably hot. Winters will be a great time to visit this place. Unless the dhaba owner decides to invest some money to separate the kitchen & dining space.

Got to know that chandigarh's famous bansal amritsari kulcha is now in gurgaon so being a amritsari kulcha lover couldn't resist myself to go there. The place is located at gurudwara road in old gurgaon where traffic really sucks. But still managed to find the parking and reached there

Place is just as typical as other amritsari kulcha joint, small space, less and conjusted sitting , open kitchen is just next to where people are sitting l, so a complete feel of amritsari dhaba types joint.

Menu has 56 different types of kulcha's, which was good but at the first glance i wasn't happy to see the prices, as they were on a higher side as campared to another kulcha joint's. And they serve only 1 kulcha in plate rather then 2 with chana and chutni pyaz. So we placed the order like of 4 plates, paneer garlic, gobhi, daal with aloo bhujia and mix veg. Kulcha.

Out of all i liked gobhi one the most then daal then paneer and last was mix veg. All the kulcha's were lacking in stuffing as it was very less so the kulcha's were not at all heavy as they supposed to be. So overall the feel was not there. Taste wise they were fine.

This place can be better if they reduce some prices and increase the quantity of stuffings.

Overall an average exoerience.

Very good place for Amritsar kulchey....taste depends on what you order but good to see the innovation order your kulchey with cheese...they taste really good

A hidden gem when it comes to old Gurgaon, i recently got to known from a cousin about this place. So for the love of amritsari kulcha we decided to visit on one fine afternoon.
Its located near gurdwara on old Gurgaon's gurdwara road. One of the busiest market sadar bazar!!
Coming to ambiance
It has a very basic place with open kitchen on the left and four tables, a typical of dhaba feel you will get. Yes place was clean and we did found few family even dining, specially big sikh family.
I m quite sure that after a having those amritsari kulcha you would definitely ignore the ambiance.
Food : we were 3 ppl so ordered like four kulcha
Daal kulcha, mix kulcha, Paneer and gobhi kulcha.
Of all daal kulcha was my fav. It had namkeen over the top made it different and really good.
Paneer was next up, soft fresh Paneer was a good to go.
The channa served are good aswell, light and tasty chatani or onion mixture was good compliment to kulcha.
We also had sweet lassi as well, which was good too not exceptional but good.
Overall, we had enjoyed the amritsari kulcha. It wasn't 100% authentic but yes 90% upto the mark.
So if you miss those amritsari kulcha of Amritsar then you can definitely head to this place and would return satisfied for sure.

Over all
Food :4/5
Ambiance :2.5/5
Service :4/5
Value for money : 4/5(when compared to other places in Gurgaon not Amritsar)

Hyped place. Average food and poor sitting. Best to skip.

This restaurant cum local dhaba is in old Gurgaon in one of the most crowded markets. The nearest landmark being Gurdwara, which is just 50 metres away. Hat Tip: Leave your car at home and take Uber, as it's pretty tough to find parking nearby especially on weekends.

We ordered 3-4 variety of kulchas - Chur chur, Aloo, Mix, and Lassi. Kulchas were crispy, but poorly stuffed, not the way I relish, chhole good, and chutney horrible. I think, it was too much to expect from them to have wheat option.

Go only if you're nearby, ready to experiment, and want to eat only Kulchas!
Bankim
Amazing Desi stuff to have. Reminds me of real Amritsari Naan right from Amritsar. Do try it once and then you'll keep visiting again and again.
One advice, be on time they end up around 1-3 pm and close on Mondays.

Guys, This is the place you must go if you are missing Authentic Amritsari Kulche in Gurgaon. Typically Ambarsaria taste of Aalo Pyaz Kulcha and ditto crispyness served with choley and pyaz wali chutney.

Giving 4.5 Stars as Lassi was not good !

After seeing frequent discussions on a foodie group on social media, I visited this small restaurant today with a couple of family members. To start with, it's a small yet decent shop in the crowded Sadar Bazar area of Gurgaon. I could see a lot families there in the limited space there.

To start with, there is a wheat option (for extra 10 rupees) instead of maida, to make it a little guilt free. We ordered one chur chur garlic onion and one onion methi kulcha. The Jul has were served reasonably fast and is served with chole, cut onion+Chilli salad and one cube of amul butter! Yummy, it was!! This was followed by Gobhi and Matar kulcha and aloo + onion kulcha. The stomach was already full and hence packed a couple of more for family at home!

Overall, a good place when you are in a mood to have variety of kulchas.

We were just looking around for a place to eat something. And this place is just so epic. They're name tells it all. 56 varieties of kulcha. And we ordered 6 types of them and every single one of them was awesome.
Completely stuffed and tasty, served with chole and onion chutni.
It's a small shop but highly recommend.

After being strongly recommended by friends I was looking forward to visit this place and my experience has been really nice. The major point which I noticed and would like to share are :

1. Location is right opposite the old gurudwara near sadar bazar, near Near Sideshwar Mandir. So parking would definitely be a concern as its a crowded area so prefer walking down to the place.

2. The restaurant does provide the sitting option too but due to less space at the max 2-3 families can only be occupied, so the easy option is to get the food packed and take away.

3. Now coming to the FOOD QUALITY !!! ITS AWESOME !!! We had to wait for almost 20min but it was a pleasure waiting to some delicious Amritsari naan. A huge variety where the types of paranthas have not just been added to add more number of dishes in the menu bt the ingredients vary for sure.

The open kitchen helps you have a view so as to how the chef prepares the kulchas or paranthas and also other boys busy in chopping, serving etc.

The Amristari kulchas are served with cholle (which definetly have a huge scope of improvement tastes average ) and a onion mixed with a sweet chutney which is a super hit combo with the crispy kulchas. The meal not only looking delicious but its quite filling too. Not to forget Punjabi special GUR at the end to made a sweet ending to a yummy meal.

Overall I had a great experience though if the waiting time reduces it would be great ! Must try !

Being a weekly visitor to Gurgaon Sabzi Mandi (just 50m from this outlet) from Oct, 2015 , my eyes always used to turn around on seeing "56 varieties" on BANSAL's signboard. This was too much of a crime on my tongue and belly for last 3 months that I could not savour amazing "kulche"... Finally, BOTH felt satiated today morning when we had a breakfast at BANSAL'S... and I could just say AMAZING !!

One has to give full marks to Bansal's for thoroughly crisp top layer and uniform stuffing; of course, laced with free-flowing ghee / oil and a slice of AMUL butter. CHOLE ki sabzi was very light compared to regular one's you get in North India and onions dipped in IMLI (tamarind) ki chutney was a perfect accompaniment. Once table was cleaned, we were served with GUD (jaggery) which meant the meal is over now - a typical dining habit in PUNJAB !!

Ideal serving would be 1 kulcha per person unless you have a LARGE BELLY; best is to order multiple varieties in a large group (we were 5 people meaning we tasted 5 varieties at least).

Thank You Bansal's for the treat... See you again in a larger group soon !!

This place was on my wish list even before it had opened for customers. It's on the gurudwara road with big red board boasting about it's 56 variations of Kulchas which can actually be divided into 4-5 major categories to be frank. I tried the Paneer kulcha and Chuur chuur kulchas. Paneer kulcha was pretty bland but the chuur chuur kulcha is definitely worth a try.
I was very disappointed with the accompanying chhole (very very bland).

Seating arrangement is ok.
Prices are ok.
Will try a few more varieties of kulchas and see if the rating can get better.
Shorya Gupta
The taste is ok. However, if u have actually visited Amritsar and tasted kulchas there, these kulchas dont stand anywhere near them.
A big disappointment was their chole which act as accompaniment with the kulchas.
The service is slow and u need to wait a long time for ur kulchas.
Overall a very average experience at a reasonable price. 0.5 star extra for that. Thus a rating of 3/5

If you want to take the feel of Amritsari kulchas. Please do visit this place. The slow cooking and the aroma make you feel like you Are in Punjab.

Authentic amritsari taste finally in Gurgaon. Stuffing and crispiness of Kuchas is perfect, and they have 56 varieties of Kulchas for you to choose for. The chole taste is regular and you are definitely gonna relish the taste of Kulcha.

The taste can not be similar to Amritsar, no matter how much they try, because of difference in hardness of water. Par the food is really awesome.

Me and a friend were Goin to the bus terminal and as we are big fans of amritsari kulchas and keema nans and we never leave an opportunity to try out at some new place. Were always ready when it comes to kulchas and keema nan. We just finished having our heavy brunch and were about to board the bus and we saw this board outside the shop saying 56 varities of kulcha. Of course we stopped to have a look at the menu. After trying at almost all the places in chandigarh , Jalandhar & Amritsar we definitely wanted to check this 56 Varieties place. We wet in and found out that they have major 14 varieties more or less. With 14 main ones you can add garlic / cheese / onion etc and there you are with 56. As we were already full so we tried mushroom cheese and it tuned out to be quite good. Wasn't heavy, was soft, garlic was added too. But chane and onion chutney was very basic. Do try if you're around. They also have nutri, paneer, mix, etc.

Perfect Sunday lunch. They were full so had to sit in the car and eat but was definitely worth the effort. The kulcha's were outstanding. Perfect Sunday lunch/brunch.
Amazingly crispy Kulchas, closest you can get to authentic Amritsari Kulchas in Gurgaon. This place serves a large variety of Kulchas to choose from; however it is advisable to stick to the basic ones. This place offers almost nothing in terms of ambience and looks but the service is prompt. A must visit place for the Amritsari Kulcha lovers.

Great food. Prompt service. Amazing kulchas. The space is small and cozy. When you go here you are going to take a dip in mouth watering kulchas and chhole . The restaurant has 56 kind of kulchas which is there USP
