Review Coco Ichibanya - Gurugram (Gurgaon)

No.1 curry restaurant brand in Japan. Japanese style curry with the good same taste. I ordered a 5 level spicy sauce out of 10 lev. It was more spicy than that of Japanese. Indian original foods are available too. It could be a great oasis for Japanese who lives in Gurgaon.

Best place in cyberhub to try something new if you’re bored of indian food. Chicken katsu udon noodles are amazing and a must have. The quantity is very generous for the price and good enough for a person. Seafood curry is also amazing with fried prawns. Mutton curry is average and can be skipped.

The concept of a Japanese curry house seemed quite novel since curry is associated with spice and India, not so much with Japan. Turned out to be quite a tasty affair. Seemed like a Japanese version of Subway with Indian wheels in that one could build up a meal by specifying quantities of food, spiciness and add ons. One could also stick with the bare minimum and still have a tasty meal of curry and rice, though the curry tasted more South East Asian than Indian. A nice change from the usual meals. Service was attentive and helpful barring one instance where they forgot my 🦐 and had to be reminded. One was treated to welcome slogans in Japanese on entry and exit.

Amazing food, and quite a lot of healthy options starting from Veg to Non Veg. Tastes awesome and is a totally different experience with the Japanese Curry. Go for the different types of Salads or Rice with Curry options having a variety of spiciness levels.

Awesome experience. For Dinner started at 7 and there was quiet less crowd and great experience. Tasty food with good choice of variety. Happy hours till 8 and less crowd suits to go early.

A really great little restaurant in cyberhub with one of the greatest curry-based dishes! The portions are quite significant, if you're hungry you can satisfactorily finish a dish with curry, sticky rice and toppings. The service is really good as well. We were taken care of very well. Loved the food presentation! Definitely recommend eating there atleast once!

The staff is very courteous. The quality of food was good. Also they are able to tweak the spice level. We received the spice levels that was requested. Children were able to eat the food well. If you like salads, I recommend the mixed salad. This was really filling and had Tuna. Quantity of food was also good. We ordered the meal with 200g of rice. Restaurant was clean. The selection of music is also great.

Enjoyed the food. Great service. Choose your spice level -the best part. I took level 4 for paneer spinach curry and it was just what I needed. Go beyond 4 only if you have ambulance number handy.😉 The kids cutlery needs to be changed.Rest all good.

So we ordered Chicken Cream Spaghetti, Fried Fish and Seafood Curry, Seafood Curry (they’re two different seafood curry’s). Before this we have also tried their Chicken Cutlet Curry and Eggplant Curry all of which have won our hearts! So at first for us Indians, the Curry might taste as any usual (ramen) curry. But as you take your fifth bite, your taste buds will start developing the actual flavour of the Japanese delicacy! The curry for every dish is the same which at first, was shocking for me and sounded boring. You are asked to choose a level of spice for every curry that you order (on a scale of 10). I went for a 3 and as I like my food low spicy. But a 4-5 is perfect for people who love spicy food (tried and TASTED!). The catch here is the way they cook their curry’s main ingredient (meat/fish etc). Mine was the Fried Fish and Seafood Curry which we tried the first time and was the talk of the table. It had at least 3 different types of fishes in it including fried and cooked prawn fishes. The amount of rice with it I chose was “Standard” which was good enough for me but for people who like to eat a lot of rice may go for more rice options! The normal Seafood Curry without Fried Fish was seen to have Basa Fish in it and is a beautiful dish for Basa lovers! The Chicken Cream Spaghetti was exquisite as well! It was creamy and cheesy, just the right amount and filling as well! The spaghetti was not very sweet and there was enough chicken in it for every bite! Whatever you pay for is worth it, here! The ambience was nice and cozy and their staff is very friendly! When entering and exiting they greet you in Japanese as well, which is a very nice custom and not seen in many restaurants here that promote a certain country’s culture and food. They have an open kitchen and we were advised well by the staff as to what is best to order (including the spice levels) as well. I have included un-edited pictures of the curry so that you can see for yourself how each of them look. We have tried many Japanese delicacies before as me and my family love Asian food (Japanese and Chinese majorly) but here we enjoy the curry’s so much that half the menu has already been tried and tasted by us. If you want to taste a TRUE Japanese Curry once in your life, this place a must visit and hence the five stars!

Loved the place! Ambience: Its a family restaurant with spacious seating and pleasant interior. The open kitchen view adds life to the not too fancy set-up. Food: They serve retro Japanese curry dishes which have a serving of rice(200g), spicy Japanese curry topped with either veggies or meat. I ordered the Chicken Katsu curry (fried Chicken breast) and it was spicy and delicious and super filling. They have many combos with a variety of veg/non-veg side dishes, salad and drinks. Also tried their newyork style cheesecake which was fresh and oddly satisfying. The staff is courteous and helpful. Received recommendations too. Would definitely recommend you visit this place once to try some Japanese western combo cuisine!

I have been going to this place for more than six months now because of its good food and excellent service by Narayan. He is knowledgeable about food options in the menu and can recommend you good options as per your requirements. He is always smiling and patient, perfect traits of a customer facing person.

One of its own kind. Japanese cuisine restaurant at cyber hub, next to Dhaba by Claridges. Best think we liked: * Service * Ambience * Warm greeting by staff * Portion size * Taste * Customized option of portion size and spicy The could improve on; * Not much, just their menu is so vast for a first time customer USP: Washroom has high tech Toilet seat with temperature control and blower 😆

Yummy meal! The rice bowls can be customised in every aspect- amount of rice, spice level of curry, add on protein, kind of protein or veg etc. The condiments on the table are very good too. Great service and plus points for the japanese greeting both at entry and while leaving!

We ordered Crispy Chicken, Crispy Chicken Salad and Spicy Shrimp and Tomato Sauce. All three dishes were good, the Crispy Chicken was crunchy, the shrimp was fresh and the salads had fresh iceberg lettuce

Best place for a non-veg lover they have lots of variety on the menu as you can see on my pics. I tried the Chicken cutlet curry, Friend chicken salad and Fried chicken omelette curry it was too good. Highly recommended by their supervisor name I think Sunny Singh. It was my first time with family and he recommends us many best dishes plus takes care of us as well. Seriously I will visit the place again but next time on weekends. Now if I talk about the decor and hygiene in this pandemic situation both were great here. People can go there and can enjoy the meal with pleasure because it is a perfect place of delightful food with generous staff.
