Review Mising Kitchen - Guwahati

Mr Rahul
Ethnic tribal traditional dishes that you must try. The way they serve the main item in different styles were very unique. Best place for ethnic food. Serves best with Quality and Quantity. Ambience is good. Delicious food in a reasonable price. Ethnic food are a must try. The service is very good.

The go to place in Guwahati if you want to try some authentic Guwahati local cuisine and especially if you love pork. I had the pork thali. They serve 4 different varieties of prok. Bamboo, curry, fry and leafy. All were amazing to taste. The thali has unlimited serving. The place also serves fish, chicken and duck , again a delight. The staff is extremely polite and happy to feed you and keep you comfortable Very polite staff. First time have experienced a restaurant pushing to have more food even for an unlimited Thali. Great experience and great taste.

A classic Assamese restaurant with authentic soul food if you want to try some authentic mouth watering local food. The restaurant as well the staff is very original and very down to earth and not too flashy. Some might find it not aesthetically fit for their Instagram reels. But the food justifies everything about the name the outlet comes with. Tried the spcl pork thali along with pork fry and duck fry which was very minutely curated and cooked to perfection.

Before I start reviewing, I would like to state that don't ever believe those 1 star reviews mentioned of this beautiful gem of restaurant. Neither is it over-priced nor is the food items all look and taste same. Just envious negative reviewers spreading false hate. Food - 5/5. We ordered Mising Pork Thali which is 470 per thali. It is true the price have increased since 2017, which is last time I visited. But let me clarify in the thali you are offered 3 variants of Pork (Curry based, One Pumpkin-Curry based and one variant being Smoked Pork - all variants had 2 giant portion of meat); they also offered one Chicken item cooked in Pig's blood (Aran) and 2 fish variants (one fried and one being mashed). They also provided 2 variants of dal (yellow and urad), one veg sabji (I think it was potato pumpkin based), one khaar item, mashed potato and spinach-potato fry sabji. For all these items and the quantity, 470 in year 2023 seems justified. Quality of the cooked food is still the best and authentic as per Missing tribe way of preparation. Service - 5/5. We were lucky to enter restaurant just 20 mins before busy hour. So, the beautiful service lady took our order and also ensured that whatever table she is attending too she meticulously looks to customer needs. She used to check up on us every 10 mins if we have any concern or need of refill of rice or sort. Atmosphere - 4.5/5. The table was polished but I only deducted 0.5 because the walls of the restaurant is in dire nend of a re-paint as it looks a bit old and weary. The cleaning staff should also ensure entrance is cleaned of dust in the entry staircase. Rest the wash basin and other areas seemed pretty clean. Final verdict: Please visit the restaurant to try authentic Mising tribe food. Probably the best in Guwahati hands down. Try out the food first before blindly believing and spreading hate towards it. Also, the restaurant gets busy during weekends esp Sunday during lunch hour so pick your time properly if you are an impatient person who cannot wait. ๐Ÿ˜„

Ethnic tribal traditional dishes that you must try. The way they serve the main item in different styles were very unique. The price are also reasonable, stuff are polite, sometimes the restaurant get crowded and then you'll have to wait. The restaurant have only two basin and one toilet, so you might have to wait in a queue. Recommend to try atleast once.

Best place for ethnic food in cheap price. Serves best with Quality and Quantity. The staff have polite behavior and pay attention to each customerโ€™s needs in time. Highly recommend their โ€œkhaarโ€, the best tasting so far. Want to fill your tummy with no fancy meal? This is the place!! This is it!! Cons: A bit crowded sometimes

The ambience, well-behaved staff, fast service, the flavor- no doubt Missing Kitchen remains packed with guests all day long. If you are into ethnic food, this is a must-visit place. The non veg thali comes with a variety of items, including 4-5 bowls of different non veg items, veg items, including khar, vegetables, lentils, chutney, and at the end kheer. The portion of each item is enough to fill two person and refill at no extra cost is also available. One of Guwahati's best gems in the field of ethnic food.

Mising Pork thali, I bet you would say "Oh my god, I can't finish anymore!" ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€.... And for fish thali you would say " Oh my god, I haven't seen such a big piece of fish in a fish thali"... ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„.... If "Value for Money" had a Dictionary meaning, then "Thali at Mising Kitchen" would probably be the best meaning of that.

They were extremely crowded when we visited. It was a sunday at around 9pm but within 10min we got a table for 4. The best thing about them is that they maintain their quality of their dishes that's what keeps them crowded always. Tried their Bhakuwa fish boil with outenga it was so good. Best place for traditional meals.

We ordered Fish Thali and Chicken Thali, Rice and dal unlimited and all curry and sweet limited. Thali doesn't have starters, I found it's a bit expensive, Rs.460/thali. The overall food quality is good and can be tried especially if you like traditional Asaan style food.
Nikhil Kumar Nath
Very tasty food. Visited for lunch with a boiled chicken item. All items are tasty.

Ohh what a place it is! Do visit and get your taste buds replenished. The things I liked about this place are: 1. The atmosphere is superb over there. 2. The staffs are very friendly and supportive. 3. Very fast and quick service to your order. 5. The quality and quantity of food both are adequate. 6. Lots of people visit there.

I have tried Special Mising duck meals which is very decent in taste. I am really so happy with thier service.

Ambience is good. Delicious food in a reasonable price. Ethnic food are a must try. The service is very good. The whole team here are very polite and helpful. You get to taste the food of mising tribe of Assam. When you visit it's always reasonable to take the meals like thalis. They serve a lot of items in one meal. One negative point is that there is no parking place available.
Sanjib Das
One of the best traditional food recipes restaurant in Guwahati. You will always get fresh and hygienic food. I love mising thali really delicious ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค Overall great ambience.

Despite belonging to ghy, I was fairly late in visiting this place. Perhaps it's the reason why I was not entirely satisfied with the famous authentic thali. The fish fry/roast provided with the pork thali was my biggest disappointment. It was pretty bland. Although there were numerous items provided in the thali. I hope they appreciate constructive criticism from their customers and level up their game.
Ranadeep Chakraborty
For the 1st time I had Traditional Assamese Thali there, and belive me it was fantastic...the food quality, the service as well as their gesture towards their customers, feel me overwhelmed.
Partha Athparia
Tried one mising pork thali and pork with laai saak ...didnot get. A piece of meat , full of fats part .. taste was also not good .
Poulomy Banerjee
We tried a veg thali and normal chicken thali. Loved all the items served in this restaurant. The staff was polite and courteous. A must visit for people who want to try authentic assamese cuisine here. Rates are reasonable too.

Nice place but the ambiance 2/5
Madhurrya Talukdar
Very much authentic food. Simple yet tasty, and variety if dishes with homogeneous standard of quality. Tried The normal Pork thali and Mising Chicken thali. Very nice. Courteous staff. Just one thing Ambience is not the best and too much hustle and bustle. Lack of parking space.

Itโ€™s my first visit to the city and one of my friend recommended this place and trust my word, Iโ€™m in love with the Mising Pork Thali. It is definitely a must have. Honestly Iโ€™ve never had so many varieties of Pork and each of them tasted utterly delicious. Their choice of rice in the thali is also tasty.

Just loved the pork thali it has many varities, every dishes was amazing truely delicious. Wanna visit again. Do visit and enjoy mouthwatering meals at missing kitchen.

Visiting this place is just like visiting your great grandma's place where she would overwhelm you with authentic Assamese food. The staff working there are so friendly they make you feel like home!! The rush of people is the only thing as the place is always jam packed but hey, can you complain?!! As soon as you are presented the thali it gives you a warm hug and u smile and eat and voila you just had the best meal of your life!!

We just visited Mising Kitchen on our way to Shillong from Guwahati and so glad to tried it out.<br/><br/>Place is big and very spacious making it family friendly - our 18.5mo old had a good time running around and exploring the restaurant.<br/><br/>Staff is very warm and friendly and overall place is pretty clean.<br/><br/>Food comes fast and is very tasty - we tried mising chicken and pork thalis. Both very good but pork was superior and meat was softer - chicken on the other hand was a bit tougher as a meat but some pieces were tender as well.<br/><br/>5 different daals and 4 different meat preparations, fish, rice and kheer - they refill rice and daals as much as one wants :) <br/><br/>Amazing value for money and very good food. Would highly recommend and come again when in the area :)

They serve you authentic assamese cuisine. We ordered mising duck thali and mising pork thali. They serve you unlimited food. Service is quick and courteous. Fully crowded. You need to wait to actually get a table. But its worth the wait. Must visit!

The best authentic Mising thalis in Guwahati. My only experience of Mising food was home cooked meals at my friend's place. The food here is similar to the food that I had tasted at her home.<br/><br/>We took two Mising Pork Thalis and we kept on eating until we were full. It was delicious, with several items, which keeps getting replenished. We couldn't even wait for a second in order to click a few pictures because our mouths were literally watering when the Thalis were put on our table.<br/><br/>I have been here twice and I have had the Mising Pork Thali both times. My next plan is to visit this place again and try the duck items because I have heard a lot about it.<br/><br/>Also, great service. Good job Mising Kitchen.

Mising Kitchen, as the name suggests, specializes in Mising delicacies.<br/><br/>We went there on Friendship day so the place was packed full of people. We were greeted with smiles and were told to wait for some time until a table was unoccupied. We waited for 15mins in total.<br/><br/>We ordered a Mising pork thali and a paneer thali. The Pork Thali was amazing, with generous amounts served and great varieties of side dishes. The paneer was a bit disappointing as it was a bit too sweet.<br/><br/>Overall the service was good and the food was great. The only thing they need to do is to make arrangements to occupy more customers.

What a way to end a trip to the north east.....with lunch at Mising kitchen before heading back to Kolkata. Authentic Assamese food , which leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to come back for more each time you are in this beautiful city.<br/><br/>Reached around 2:30 on our way back from Shillong on the last day of our 4 day sojourn in Meghalaya, was expecting the place to be empty as we thought we had successfully avoided the peak rush hours. Boy, were we wrong......the place was jam packed with people, some sitting, some standing, but waiting patiently for their turn to enjoy the delectable offerings.<br/><br/>Hats off to the team for being so efficient, Viz. Taking orders for people while they were waiting, identifying the best tables according to group sizes and ensuring the minimum possible wait times the mad rush notwithstanding.<br/><br/>Now coming to the food, we went for the Local chicken Mising kitchen thali, I always go for this one as the Local chicken just seems more flavorful and fibrous and that's something I enjoy. As an accompaniment I ordered one of my favourite sides, Duck curry cooked with Gourd and it's definitely one of the best duck preparations I have had anywhere in the country.<br/><br/>Coming to the thali, 4/5 types of Dal, 2 types of fish, a deep fried piece of chicken breast (khorika in Assamese) , assortment of veggies , a bowl of light chicken curry and kheer to top it all off , ensures that you will be gaining an inch across the waist by the time you are done and be too satiated to even complain.<br/><br/>Awesome job guys, would've rated 5.5 if that was an option, the extremely friendly and efficient staff deserve that extra 10% as a sign of appreciation ......

What to start with ! I love everything about this place ! Be it the very very polite and amazing staff/waiters or the finger licking cuisine that they serve !<br/><br/>I am basically a fan of their Chicken Thali. Chicken lovers must try this at least once before they die๐Ÿ˜‚ trust me it's this amazing ! Worth the money !<br/>We always end up with our stomach fully filled Everytime we visit Mising Kitchenโค๏ธ

Authentic north eastern food.Perfectly cooked pork and chicken dishes, good ambience..good service and the best part was eating food from the traditional thali and glasswares. Would love to visit again in near future..cheers!

Friendly environment with amazing experience with the staffs and food of course was so good. Hospitality was too big and besides that the homely warm ambience is to crave for when you are outside home. Staffs were amazing. Too good. Coming to food, I bet this is a place u can compare with any other. Kudos! Well done. Would love to come back. It's a must visit. This kind of food is not found in Kolkata. Do give a try.

Nice place for ethnic assamese cuisine.<br/>Affordable prices for thalis or any other item.<br/>The staffs are cooperative and the place is hygienic. Big thumbs up!

One of the many ethnic food places coming up in the city, mising kitchen comes reccomended as it has a great price to portion size ratio. Food ofcourse is amazing.<br/><br/>Had it not been for the lackluster decor and hard to find parking, this would've been a definite 5 out of 5.

It was my last day at Guwahati and went to this place for dinner and it made my last dinner in Guwahati a special one....This place was recommended by some of my friends who had visited earlier .... And i will be doing the same... Its really a place everyone need to visit and I recommend it totally... They serve very good Thali with a lot of items... And the service and hospitality they offer here is very different from other restaurants I've visited so far in Guwahati.. I felt warmly welcomed... Well there's particularly one man named puna... I couldn't stop myself from asking his name... He serves really great so much kind and helpful... He keeps an eye on every customer, takes care of them all... And you dont have to call him for some issues or anything related to orders he comes on time and attends all customer on time (for example...like you dont have to call him for extra food or anything once he sees our plate getting empty he comes with extra food service and things like that amd you can ask him to customize your order like say if you want to make your dish a little spicy or something like that )... I believe the rest of them will also be offering great service like their fellow worker Puna... We tried their normal chicken thali and normal pork Thali... Where we were served with 3 different types of dal, smashed potato chutney, vegetables fry which was so tasty, pickles , bhut jolokia, chicken/pork khorika which was dried fried and tasted great... They also served another two different types of chicken/pork curry (as per our thalis ) .... We ordered another plate of pork khorika because it blowed us.... Indeed a wonderful outlet for causual dining ... Well the ambience is fine not so attractive but its hygienic

MISING PORK THALI.<br/>Served on traditional brass plate and bowls, atop a banana leaf shaped table mat.<br/><br/>Pork khorikaa, pork curry, mising dal, veg anja, yummy kheer... What else do you want in a thali? This mouth watering platter that never fails to disappoint me is a win-win also because they use less oil, masala and spices. Authentic Mising food just like Mising families cook them! Totally love it, worth the 380 bucks.<br/><br/>#misingfood #ethnicfood #northeastindia

Mising Kitchen is one kind of a restaurant which serves delicious & scrumptious meal cooked with less oil & spices. Their thali consists countless no. of items and all tastes fantastic. The staffs are well behaved & friendly. Good ambience. I love this place.

The atmosphere was clean, quite and good. Staff is friendly n nice.<br/>Pork Missing thali is a must here. Chicken thali was disappointing. The side dishes and dal was good. N the Maas Pura was very tasty. Overall a must go for ethnic food lovers.

Been here yesterday 6th May for lunch. Place is worth the money if you are a foodie. No great ambience but food talks everything here. We ordered mising duck thali, chicken, fish & pork thali. You ask me how was it? I say โ€œexcellentโ€ must visit if you are in Guwahati and looking to savour authentic Assamese cuisine. Even veg lovers may not be disappointed! Service was good too!
Rebika Singha
When I first saw thali m lil disappointed but later on bowls of various items are keep on arriving on table which really delicious and brings a huge smile on my face.. if you are looking for authentic food one must visit destination.

Amazing Pork Thali, with the perfect balance between quantity and quality. I was stuffed!<br/>Great service, even though the place was packed when I was there! <br/>

The place is usually crowed esp if its a holiday. So if you want to have a peaceful lunch this place is not where u want to go. But the food is awesome . And true to its name ,the mishing etnicity is maintained. The price is reasonable acc to the quantity.
Mrinal Barman
Ordered veg thali, chicken with sesame seed. Awesome taste, good quantity, nice ambience, liked how they treat their customer. It's a great place to have ethnic food.
Suranjana Das
Best assamese cuisine restaurant. They serve the variety of things in a thali. And the staff is always around their customers for refilling the plates.
Sayantan Raha
As you entered this joint, you will find a distinct smell and which is why I gave 4 out of 5. The food was just mind blowing, tried their Chicken Assamese Thali and it was huge though the waiting crew always comes to up and asked for refill. The hospitality was just awesome, they will come up to you and explained each and every item whether the joint is super busy or not. The interior is very simple but you will find Assamese touch every where. <br/>Loved this joint.

I really love this place... The food was so tasty... We had ordered pork thali and chicken thali... I want to go there again.... Staff are so polite...

This place is a bliss. Heaven for non-veg lovers and for those who want to try out mising cuisine. The place had a huge seating area and it's spick and span really.<br/><br/>We were two people and we had a mising chicken thali and a pork mising chicken thali each. At first, the waiter bought us only 4-5 dishes in the thali and I became really upset. But then the dishes came pouring in one after the other. My pork thali itself had four different preparations of the pork. A khorikaa (cooked on fire), fried pork, boiled pork curry and a mising pork curry. They also had two types of daal and it was really tasty. The fish pitika was a delight and so were the fried small fishes. The aloo pitika (mashed potato) was heavenly. They also refilled our veg dishes regularly. Each and every item was amazing. Delicious. They also serve a warm porridge right at the end of the meal with grated fresh coconut and can I say it was just out of the world? I almost wanted another bowl straight after the first one, it was so so good.<br/><br/>Our server was really polite and humble. He constantly asked us for refills, took our feedbacks seriously and helped us to get the names of the dishes. Its definitely a must visit.

Food was good but the price was not worth the food. They should cut down the price a bit otherwise a good place to fill your tummy. Recommended.

I was craving for authentic Naga dishes in guwahati and this places ticked all the right boxes for a Naga food experience.<br/>The pork thali was just outstanding. They served some 4-5 pork dishes in that along with a fried fish. All the pork dishes were cooked very well. The dry fried with bamboo dish was my favorite of them. Rice and dal were unlimited.<br/>The thali itself was pretty heavy. Definitely recommend others to try the best of pork dishes here.
Chiranjiv Pathak
Ordered the normal chicken thali. The taste was good and the ambience is also moderate. The place is fully crowded in peak hours. We went to the place at around 2 p.m and people were standing curiously to get a seat.<br/>P.s- The normal thali is enough as it contains lots of items.<br/>I have deducted one star because they could have provided a mix veg.sabji instead of three types of daal.
NiruPama Roy
The place is good for family visit. You can enjoy authentic Assamese cuisine. The prices maybe a bit on the higher side compared to other restaurants but the service justifies it. The service is really great.
Manali Raha
Stayed at Guwahati for a night. Found this place to be close to our hotel. Went there for dinner. Me and my husband ate normal fish and chicken thalis. Taste was amazing and brilliant. Quantity was a lot. And the service is good because they kept refilling what we needed without having to ask. Nice place.

A wonderful restaurant to have a wonderful meal... at the minimum price and pocket friendly... If anyone is wishing to taste any authentic pork dish or chicken dish...then Mising Kitchen it is... I bet your taste bud will definitely rejoice... Do try!!!
Saptomi Baruah
We went there for lunch and ordered one veg thali and one normal chicken thali. Veg thali costed Rs 150 and normal chicken thali costed Rs 280. In normal chicken thali, there are 3 types of chicken given at Rs 280. One fried and two types of gravy containing 2 piece chicken each. Tastewise it was lip smacking good. Very affordable too. The reason I reduced one star is because I got a pungent smell within the restaurant. Maybe it was the smell of some detergent they use to clean the interior. But otherwise, too good.
Raktim Engti
A wonferful place to go for Assamese cuisine. We had the Mising Chicken Thali and Normal Fish Thali. It was great. The quantity is more than sufficient. Taste was fantastic. Prompt service with pro-active Staff. The way of presentation of the dish is fabulous. Overall had a great experience. Definitely going to visit again. Thumps up๐Ÿ‘

If you could overlook the below average ambience and rate on food solely, I can't think of any better restaurant in the city that too at a jaw dropping price. You could get Missing Thali for just Rs.350 and you might regret for having too many dishes in your thali that you might not even try the entire particulars on your plate. But the good thing is that they stuck to ethnic Missing cuisine and I love how raw and authentic it tastes and it certainly won't disappoint you.

Had a wonderful experience with the lunch items ordered from this outlet. I must say the food items were very tasty. The ethnic food was really yummy. The "khar", an assamese food item was really very delicious. I haven't visited this outlet yet but I will definitely visit it once.<br/>All the items ordered were fantastic.<br/><br/>Overall Rating:<br/>Food quality: 4 out 5<br/>Staff service: NA

If there's one place where you get good wholesome "home" food along with tasty pork then look no further..Even the veg Thalis are really great. The smoked pork is one of my favorites along with the chicken and lai xaak.

I went to this place with my friend for her salary treat. It was usual weekend afternoon, the restaurant was full with people. I ordered a pork thali, and my friend ordered a chicken thali. The portion size is good (tummy full๐Ÿ˜‰) and also their service seemed good to me. Pork and chicken thali are the best selling item i guess, from mising kitchen. Would love to go to this place again. Definitely recommend it.

Wow is what I would say.....Ordered Pork Bamboo Shoot and Duck Dry Fry ....And I must say it was awesome.....Had a sad experience yesterday at Khorikaa which is why had little or no expectation ....But this food today changed my mind.....Quality and Taste - Great, Service- Awesome , the waiter was the first one who was happy serving, reminded me of my food which I have missed for last almost 10 years....So can't thank you guys enough....Serving Size was huge....Today was after a long time I had to waste a bit of the food ....All in all an awesome experience ....Will surely come back when I visit Assam after few years maybe....Don't change what you are doing....Because you guys are doing awesome

This is the right place to have typical mising food at an affordable price. The food is delicious and the quality and quality of it just awesome. It's a worth it place.<br/>It's just dat it's too crowded in Sundays.
Kr Abhishek
This place was crowded as hell and our expectations went sky high.. However, the food didnโ€™t match up to our expectations..<br/><br/>Ordered a fish and mutton thali.. The Thalia had rice, daal, achar, chutney and the works.. The fish thali had fish in a sour curry while mutton thali had a Mutton gravy and a chicken fry...<br/><br/>The ambience is nice and functional and the service very very friendly and fast.. Kudos for that.. At 800 odd bucks for two ppl, the VFM is also high..<br/><br/>Not a great experience, in Guwahati I will prefer Maa Mansa Hotel to Mising..
Monami Bhuyan
The perfect place to go to to have an authentic mising thali. Pro tip: it's worth visiting this place when you are devastatingly famished, because the quantity of food they serve is humungous and you won't cry over food wastage when you are already awfully hungry and finish all that food up anyway.<br/>I ordered for mising pork thali while my friends went for mising chicken thali. Although there were a couple of loopholes(or so I felt in some of the dishes), everything came together beautifully as a cohesive meal and we had two South Indian friends with us as well who absolutely loved the meal and devoured it to their hearts' content. So that should say a lot right?<br/>My favorite element of the thali was the pork cooked with banana flower. It wasn't very heavy and had a refreshing disposition to it. Over all, it was a lovely meal. Cheers!
Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi
This is not something I thought I will have to write about a place I really love coming......But today the service left a really bad taste in my mouth.....Ordered 1 local chicken curry among other items....But while the other items were ready the local chicken was not so I was told to wait....So I sat down patiently waiting but the wait never ended..An order that started with a wait time of 15-20 mins ended up taking 1 hr 35 mins to be precise...So kindly take care such anomalies don't happen again..<br/>
Das Nisha
Went today for lunch. Ordered for two normal Pork Thalis, they are Huge! I kinda felt full just looking at them. The ambiance is decent, service is good and fast. But, I have a teeny weeny complaint - PLEASE ADD SOME RICE TO THE KHEER . What I received was like two grains of rice. I love Kheer so was a lil disappointed. Because, after eating an entire thali, you will definitely want something sweet to end your meal.

Best for ethnic cuisine. Love their service. Food is awesome. Crowded place. Have to wait to put ur ass down but waiting is worth relieving. Have a visit.
Koliagam Doley
It's really a good place for having a good diet for all types and categories of people. I also want to suggest to all those people to have at least a one time experience in this kitchen.<br/>
Pranami
Had Chicken thali and Paneer thali. I think it was worth the price in terms of amount cause they served three different types of chicken (two curries and one fried). Same goes for the Paneer thali. But I think taste wise they can improve.<br/>Good service.<br/>Overall decent experience.
Baishali Borah
Very crowded place so we had to wait a little. But the food is worth the wait. Ordered mising chicken thali and normal chicken thali. It served many chicken dishes. And it was tasty as well.<br/>Must try the place. <br/>:)
Sanjib Deka
the food is just awesum. The quality and quantity with price tag is justifiable. I ordered the chicken thali and my friend ordered mising mutton thali. We wished if we had another tummy to have another go at the food. The staffs were also helpful and responsive.<br/><br/>the only cons I found is that the dining area is small when threre is peak rush hour.<br/>
Nang Anindita
Absolutely love the food. I ordered normal chicken thali and the price certainly did justice as the variety of food items were more than enough as well it tasted too good.
Abhijit Pegu
Average..Drop in quality and now this kitchen rides on the waves of it's past glory..The restaurant does not have bad food per say, but tastier alternatives are available elsewhere.. Excellent service but poor ambience.. P.S. Mishing food has stricken Flavours and are rich in culture.

Visited this place for the very first time and I would much likely visit there again. Presentation, ambience, mising delicact, etiquette, value for money. Each of these assets are heavy on one another. Perfect for a family weekend hangout.

Wow another great place the staff was very well behaved and must say the food was mind blowing <br/>Specially their pork with bamboo shoot and mising pork thali and pork dry fry
Sangbeed Kundu
Good food, worth the extra buck they charge. Very courteous staff with pleasant behaviour. Huge proportions per person. Dishes have their own individual taste and on the whole, a hearty dining experience. Ambience can be slightly improved upon. Try their mising special pork thali.

Though it was crowded, there wasn't any slackening in the service. It was quite fast. The waiters were very kind. And the food tasted delicious. A thali or their particular dishes. Everything. ๐Ÿ˜‹

It's a good place with good Mising food. There are different thali with variety of dishes. It's a place for a better lunch and dinner with adequate amount of food. They provide different local and tribal dishes in thali. Overall it's a better place for lunch and dinner with family and friends.

Went there on my uncle and aunt's anniversary. We had the mising chicken thali and pork khorika for my cousins. The food is bang on for the price and one thali was enough for 2 of us. I specially loved the sesame chicken. A place to visit for authentic home-cooked mising meal.

Mising Kitchen has won my heart many a times with their top notch service supplemented so well by their ever smiling staff, the premier quality of the food and their delicious offerings of Pork. I have been late in reviewing this outlet, but nevertheless I have to state that Mising Kitchen or MK (Same initials of my name...LOL) and Raja Mircha are the two best places in the city for all pork lovers.<br/>And don't get mistaken here when I say that it is a haven for Pork addicts, because I have tasted their Paneer and Chicken Curry dishes as well and they too are pretty damn awesome.<br/>PS: I will make sure that I have more pics in my kitty the next time I go out on Pork hunting!!

Great food. Pricey by middle class standards, but the quantity too is quite high. Recommended to go when you're quite hungry, otherwise you won't be able to finish. Service is exceptionally good. Ambience is good. Attached is the photo of Mishing Pork Thali which is currently priced at Rs. 380. It has boiled pork, pork with gravy, roasted pork and pork cooked with banana flowers apart from an assortment of dals and vegetables.<br/>Edit: forgot to mention the steamed fish (which wasn't as good) and olive+mango pickle + bhoot jholokia (a kind of extremely hot chilly) they serve along. It adds a lot to the overall experience.

Centrally located. Fair ambience.Quick service. However, food quality is below average. Rice and meat almost half-cooked. Had a bad meal experience.

This place is a paradise to have authentic Mising cuisine. The waiters and managers are extremely polite and gentle and take care of each and every customers.<br/>I have twice to this place and both the times it never fails to impress. This time we ordered an authentic Mising duck thali and a chicken thali.<br/>Both the thalis were exceptionally good, be it the taste or quantity. Everything was authentic and cooked with minimum spices using fresh ingredients. I will definitely recommend this place for authentic food lovers.

This is one of the exquisite food paradise to eat out.Specially the pork lovers can visit here and get a hell lot of tasty dishes. The main reason this restaurant remains crowded is because of the quality of food served by them which adds up to its reputation which it has created within a short duration.

just mind blowing. my first experience of Assam food and it was just toooo good. Almost tried all kinds of meat. It's a paradise for meat lovers. But be prepared to eat rice because no kinds of bread are available in the north east generally. Thanks a lot for feeding me. Felt like a python.

LOVED IT ! Absolutely authentic north eastern food. Must try the local chicken thali. Well behaved staff. Reminder- no rotis available for non-north eastern people. Being a rice lover, not an issue with me at all ! :P

Have been hearing quite bit about this local restaurant which served authentic and rather hwalthy Assamese food and I was surprised that it stood up to the praises.<br/>the place is usually packed, atleast thats what I saw and have heard, though the rotation is quite fast so we got a table after only 7-8 minutes.<br/><br/>what we ordered:<br/><br/>Veg Thali - it comes with everything that you can think of at an Assamese place and the preparation is pretty good. i really liked the aloo saag and the dal.<br/><br/>Chicken Khorikaa - though not a big fan ,It was pretty decent<br/><br/>Chicken in Sesame Curry - the curry was thick and beautiful and silky,I did not really like the meat but the friend digged into it.<br/><br/>Koldil Fry - I loved this. could eat a bowl of it with rice and daal<br/><br/>the service is immaculate. love how they have floor managers to keep up the pace in thr kitchen and the service. Price too is very nominal.
