Review Naga Kitchen - Guwahati

Rebecca Darngawn
..best place to dine in for Pork lovers. The place feels nostalgic. Their smoked pork with bamboo shoot is awesome, smoked chicken fry is my favourite. Staffs are friendly. Food is super delicious but overpriced. The place gets really hot and humid in summer as their standing Ac. is always in 28 degree(Not adjustable according to their staffs). When the sun rays hits the transparent glass room, the 28 degree ac. doesn't actually work.

It was the best Naga thali I had in Guwahati so far do give it a try .The portions were sufficient and the ambiance was nice definitely going again .

Food was amazing. We went at around 3-3:30. Pork momos were out of stock. Although, they assured that by evening they will definitely restock them. We ordered •fried chicken momo •steamed chicken momo The chutney was soooooo....... good! The filling was juicy and well seasoned. Service, however could have been better. The place had one of the best meals in authentic Naga cuisine. The items we ordered included, Smoked chicken with bamboo shoot, smoked pork with bamboo shoot, rice, daal, and boiled vegetables in Naga style. The entire spread was delicious to say the least. Especially the curries with bamboo shoot in it made for a very tasty treat and delicious food. Highly recommended for a everyone who wants to enjoy a delicious Naga cuisine

The restaurant is nicely decorated with Naga traditional items. Very clean and tidy including washroom area. All foods are very tasty, yet not oily or spicy! The main drawback is the entrance. It's unbelievably evil smelly. You may get a tendency of vomiting by the time you reach restaurant. Also the price is a bit higher. These are the reasons I might not want to go there often and Try to explore some new foods.

Nice eatery on GS Road. Tasty naga dishes as well as Chinese food is served hear. Prices are on the medium range . The place is well decorated with naga cultural and historical pics and items.Good ambience and service. Mostly takes around 15-20 mints max for the dishes to be ready after order. Definitely a must visit in this part of the city.
Imti Sanen Jamir
The best food in the city. All the recipes were so good & tasty...

Good ambience, good food, good service and nice decor. We ordered chicken manchow soup, kung pao chicken, Schezwan rive and noodles. Tasty food but wasn't extraordinary.
VIRENDRA KAMATH
Not Upto the mark
Ordered schezwan rice and garlic chicken
Some how rice was okay but Garlic chicken look like chicken khichdi. Please improve the taste and presentation
Madhurrya Talukdar
Nice authentic Naga food. Won't serve the taste buds of masala eaters, because most of the food is boiled. But has a nice and different taste all together. Pork dishes are excellent.
Shinigami Senpai
Mfs THIS IS ROBBERY ,you charge 170 for a palm size container of chutney? I thought the content of the chutneywould be more cause i am paying 170 for it but no, it's packed in these miniscule containers not to mention the plain rice... It's fucking rice..if you are going to price plain rice that high then at least give us a decent amount of rice...RICE TOO LESS ..F
Sharmistha Basing
Ordered Pork thali and Chicken Momo.
Everything in the thali was served cold except the pork curry even after taking a long time to serve the dish. Whereas the people sitting next to us were served warm rice the very next moment.
The Momo was tasty though along with the chutney.
Service was slow. Overpriced.

Excellent food, good service, comfortable seating, ordered chicken momo and pork thali, mono was juicy and fresh, thali was good, pork curry was spicy and tangy, excellent, not too heavy on pocket.

I tasted the pork with boiled vegetables which was very tasty and mouth watering...keep up like this. I am very happy for such kind of quality foods and decent delivery.

Every time I go to this place, it leaves me with satisfied taste buds!
Love the decor and delicious food in here. If you are visiting for the first time, do order for the smoked items on the menu (they have plenty of options).
Besides this, they make amazing prawns too (particularly golden fried prawns).
And if you want to have authentic Naga food, they let you experience the best of it!
My wishes that they keep up the good work like they have all these years!

This place serves one of the best fried momos in Guwahati. Their honey crispy chicken is also an all time favourite. Ambience is really good. Food is great.

When on office tour outside your own state, anyone would crave for good food, besides the monotonous work mode. This place is a must visit for all pork lovers. Tried their pork with bamboo shoots and veg fried rice. Kudos! Amazing place, do give a try peeps.

We ordered a pork thali,2 chicken thali and smoked pork thali. The amount of the food was more than enough. And the thali was okayish. We also ordered crispy chilli garlic prawn, smoked pork with Axone and pork ribs (today's special)....sadly the prawns were such a disappointment, the axone was not upto our expectations And the ribs were sooo good...perfect👍.

Recommend this awesome place if you're into Naga food. Great service, hygienic and good food. Do try their Smoke Pork thali and different kinds of chutneys. U won't be dissapointed for sure👍
Anupam Dutta
Totally dissatisfied with both service and food. The waiting time after ordering is quite large and the taste of the food is quite poor. The waiters are very ignorant as they forget to tend to the customers and respond late when they are asked. The ambience is good nevertheless and the crew is quite polite, but they seem to be quite lethargic during service requests. So, the restaurant needs some significant changes to cater to a consumer's demand.

It was a good experience there... Nice food.. timely delivery.. fresh food ... Nice treatment.. but could work on the presentation a bit more .. overall it was a good experience

Nice experience at this joint. Ordered Smoked pork bamboo shoot and grilled pork in starters. Very unique taste. Staff was cordial and food was good. This restaurant is for all those who like their food a bit spicy.

Good place for a home like dinner or lunch with some taste of naga cuisine. As i am a fan of boil and less oily food i like the taste of food there.I like the taste of momo there and naga pork thali also taste awsm..

The love for gahori made me come here, all the way from Patna! And boy! I wasnt disappointed
Orderd 3 varieties of pork, the gravy one, the smoked one and the pan fried one with a full bowl of rice. The flavours were on point, though a bit on the spicier side coz of the use of bhootjholakia. The fact that i can still feel that aroma of smokiness in my burps, even after few hours of having it makes me feel like coming back here again. The icing on the cake was the local lime u get in assam. Squeeze in a few drops on ur rice and curry and u know what northeast food is all about. The service was good as well, on time and courteous. The decor was beautiful, spacious and comfortable with good music to make u feel occupied while having food. It was decently priced with the bill of around Rs 1200 for 4 people and their happy tummies

This place serves great food. The pork thali includes many items one of the item is a chutney made of roasted eggplant, tomatoes, garlic etc which is a die for. The pork curry made with bamboo shoots I which I love. Soups are great as well. For evening you can try their momos.
Their staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. It's a nice restaurant.

#nagacuisine#foodie#tastyfood

NAGA KITCHEN Carryin' on the legacy of sumptuous Naga cuisines in Guwahati. They are the pioneers of Naga food and Naga style Pork dishes. I like their food but honestly I have given a 3 STAR RATING only because time and again after my numerous tries here their Meat portions are very small and pork pieces are quite less as per the prices of their dishes. EVEN CHINA TOWN (Located in Rajgarh Road,Ghy) ONE OF THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN GHY AND ONE OF THE OLDEST TOO have approx. the same rates for their pork dishes but NAGA KITCHEN (SIX MILE, Ghy) doesn't match up in terms of the pork portions or pieces they dish up in their curries. I am not comparing quality but QUANTITY SERVED.
THAT SURELY IS DISAPPOINTING!!! PLEASE IMPROVE NAGA KITCHEN..
Hirak Das
I don't know if this is the same place as the one that was there in Survey few years back but food has become pretty pathetic. Ordered chicken and pork momo the taste was not there with the outer covering not able to hold the filling. The chicken and pork chow had no salt plus very few pieces of meat here and there certainly does not command the price. Can be given a miss.
Jasmine Akhtar
Waste of money.. ordered chicken thal for 2times.very disappointed.order-eat - regret.i don't wanna give 1* but no choice.i had no choice so I ordered now regretting y I didn't order pizza instead of ur so called goruk dileo nkhoa chicken thal.seriously service nd food is getting worse day by day.before 2years food was delicious

very bad quality of food, disgusting yuck. fatty fatty oils no taste.

So soothing ambience. Beautiful people aura.Awesome foods. You won't regret coming back to this place again and again.Just plan your weekend with friends or family and crash on this authentic place with exotic foods.❤

A good decent place to have lunch and snacks. Pleasant interior . The staff is good and can help in deciding what to order accordingly to your convenience. This was my second visit there, and am sure many more to come.parking can be done in the main road.

The 1st time i tried Naga food and wasn't dissappointed at all. The kinds of Pork they had to offer was just crazy. Once again I was held back by my limited appetite but loved what I had. If you want to try a lil bit of everything, try one of the thalis. And if you are a pork enthusiast like me, just call for some steam rice & the smoked pork.
Also, don't miss the Naga pickle they have for sale.
Kudos Naga Kitchen.

I was so surprised to see them cancelling my order after making me wait for almost 50 mins. Such irresponsible managing skills from a reputed restaurant is disappointing.
Preetam Thapa
Thank you so much for serving Pork when I specifically mentioned Chicken. The best being you presested me the bill after I retured the food. Cheers

No doubt ds restro is one of my favt place but on 15 th sept i felt like what the hell i m doing here.....i placed few orders with juice no doubt juice came and rest food take 1 hours to b served evn the starter(pork fry)....and when i went nearby the counter to asked about my food that how much more time it ll take to b served in the table then their manager behaved very rudely and shouted to d waiters like u should inform to the customers about the time while takin their orders....DISGUSTING....

Really good healthy food.. Love the service and the ambience was nearly decorated. Will try visiting again.. I am also a fan of boil food so this place is really good
Baba Mahanta
Good flavours, nice ethnic themed ambience, good service....Overall a nice place to try out authentic Naga Cuisine....Based part was they served what they promised...I ordered smoked pork and it was actually smoked with smokiness as the core flavour of the meat....Unlike other restaurants which mentions smoked meat but I doubt if they know what smoked meat is ....All in all a wonderful experience .....Keep it up guys

Good old Naga Kitchen is still one of the best place to quench your hunger for some wholesome rice and pork in Guwahati.
They do have other items like noodles , momos and other Chinese themed items...but for old timers....Naga Kitchen is synonymous with rice and pork. U can never go wrong with pork thali and smoked pork fry, pork with bamboo shoots, smoked pork with dry bamboo shoots fry etc.
I doubt, if vegetarians will be able to enjoy this place as those who like to chomp on delicious, hot, fatty pork pieces made with spicy bhut jolokia(ghost pepper). But nevertheless they do have some veg items.
Prices have increased from before....but still moderate.
Service is decent.
Overall, good place to visit if you are really hungry.
Shashank Sahay
Absolutely gobsmacked. I had the fortune of hogging the smoked pork thali and as god is my witness, it was the best smoked pork. Served with rice, daal and chutney it's a complete meal. Even if it was spicy for my taste, I was prepared and my stomach didn't disappoint. Hellaluiha!
Run-ins with food like this remind you of advantages of travel.

This outlet has been here for quite some time now. a good place for eating good non vegetarian dishes in Assamese and Naga styles. We ordered Golden Fried Prawn a d it was quite good to taste. overall, a nice experience.
Ankita Gupta
This review comes a little late as I had visited this place quite some time back. This outlet was my first experience with Naga cuisine and I was actually quite impressed. The dishes were soulful and hearty. Full of strong and unique flavours. My favorite was the smoked chicken with akhuni. All dishes were unique both in appearance and taste. Really impressed with the food. Prices are reasonable enough. Staff were courteous and the ambience was great too. Will definitely visit again👍

Good place and food.... slightly slower service... could use a proper bar instead of the mocktails...still 4 stars for my happy tummy...smoked pork always a yes👍👍
Krishangi Das
Amazing restaurant. Delicious dishes and very kind staff. Lime soda is amazing here and must visit if your looking for authentic naga cuisine.
Miss Impurrfect
Visited this place for lunch. We ordered the steamed chicken Momo, chicken fried rice and Kung Pao chicken. Quantity was sufficient for two people, the presentation was also good. The momos were tasty, but green chilli chutney could have been given nicer. Chicken fried rice should have had more chicken pieces, but otherwise was done well. Kung Pao chicken was good. Nice decor and ambience. Staff was also courteous.
To sum up:
Food: 3.5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Value for money:3/5

Naga Kitchen was a big name in its initial days but, slowly maybe they have started to take it a bit casual. We had ordered for four pork thalis and two chicken dishes separately. It took around 10 mins to explain our order to the female lady who came to take the order. My concern is that the staff does not understand Assamese/ Hindi/ English so it becomes difficult to converse. The food was okayish, the interiors and all are decent, price is fine too and hygiene is being maintained.
Debajyoti Das
food was good but...(1) we ordered 2 separate thalis but they served d contents in common bowls n dat too in meagre amounts...wats d use of ordering separate thalis if we get everything in common bowls🤔...(2)they had 2 of their AC's in not working condition... instead were using stand fans in lieu of AC🤢
Deepanka Bora
Environment was ok. Went there for dinner. Food was very tasty. But the beverages was too bad. I ordered mango shake but it was not at all good. Rest was very tasty. And one more thing they don’t have the parking space for which Problem may occur.
Shristi Todi
Having been there multiple times, the smoked pork, bamboo shoot chicken and various chutneys are a must try. If you have a taste for north eastern cuisine you must go and eat there. They also sell out a wide range of pork, fish and chicken pickles. Pick them. They are amazing.
Shraddha Gogoi
A well gilded place. The service was fast though it was crowded.
And the food was delicious. I love the pork dishes from there. It was delicious. 🙇

What do I say about this place... It's authenticity can be seen at every nook and corner of the place.. the roof. The walls.. the artifacts.. the decor.. even the smell of the place.. rings authenticity to the core.. coming to the service being above average.. food being extremely tasty.. and the portion size is appropriate as well.. would be visiting soon.. keep it up! 😊
Birty Terangpi
I went only once ....it was okay, but it's not pocket friendly. If you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket better not. Could do better. Overall it was good.
Sangrami Dey
It was one of our favorite place ....but last time when we visited the food actually made us really disappointed....we ordered mixed fried rice but it was tasteless nd the prawns were really really old ...I really doubt how many days actually they kept those prawns...the quality became really poor
In fact after telling them also they had no reaction on this ..nd more over in side dish we took chicken that too was too old ....
Sashanka Buragohain
Bamboo shoot lovers should try this place they would absolutely love this place.....ambience is very good staff is friendly the reason i gave 3 stars is that i am not a big fan of Bamboo shoot and almost all of the food contains Bamboo shoot

This review is based on my taste and food habits. The ambience is too perfect for dining. We ordered a number of items but to my surprise none of the items other than the boil vegetables and the plain rice was perfect ..It was too spicy and literally we wasted our money. The dal was pathetic and i didnt like it ..This was my second and last visit to the place. I think incan make the items better myself. Please work on the taste. None of us liked the taste . We left half of our meal.
Sumanta Roy
Good place but for me it is slightly over priced. A good palce to hangout with family and friends. An ideal place for pork lovers. Wait time is bit high.

Pork thali is a must try, Beautiful decor, service quality is good. There is variation in the menu, Ambience is comfortable.Definitely a place to visit once again. Ethnic flavor at its best

Awsome place to have naga cuisine:) authentic spicy and simple naga dishes specially the pork with bamboo shoots were lovely , the naga non veg thali is good too
Gunjan Chaudhary
Extremely overpriced place.....no taste at all quantity also very less.Total waste of money.Simple mashed potato they serve was hardly enough for one person and charged 100 bucks. And most shocking was smoked pork chilli which they charged 255 bucks there was hardly 10 piece that too very small smaller than the size of paneer in simple paneer dishes and also no such great taste.6pcs boiled chicken which was dipped in hot water with some 3-4 lettuce and charged 280 bucks for that again tasteless. We had to dine again after paying 812 bucks actual cost of food we had there was hardly 150 bucks.

“Naga Kitchen” the rating is bias on my personal experience and I don’t mind if someone would counter/ challenge this. This place located at the first or second floor. The first impression of this place is below par. The staircase was indulge with a very strange kind of smell, certainly restaurant could not be responsible but only restaurant has the only access. That day the place was partially occupied with all the local guests. I had the Naga cuisine first time and couldn’t able to relate it with my taste buds. I appreciate my colleague who helped me to finish the food as he find this cuisine fine. My recommendation for the people who want to try this cuisine should order less initially and later reorder.
Diksha
The ambience is good. Not so noisy unlike many restaurants here in Guwahati. The staff are good. You get a feeling you're somewhere outside Guwahati. As I'm not a pork lover I only ordered chicken items. They say, naga thalis are great. But I guess, people like us who are great chicken lovers, the place might be a disappointment for them.
If I had to rate these dishes that I ate,
Chicken dumplings - 6/10
Smoked chicken - Never try
Chicken pan-fried noodles - 8/10 (I've tasted the world's best pan-fried noodles during my stay in Tezpur University, the KF outlet of TU serves the best pan fried noodles. Hence, no other pan-fried noodles can ever replace my love for that 'one and only' pan-fried noodles I'm in love with)
Never ever try the smoked chicken. Firstly, it tastes very bad. No salt no taste no nothing. Secondly, you would not want to waste your 300 rupees on it.

Though the coke was perfect. It made me control my anger for sure.
Partha
The food was good but I had a bitter experience. We have ordered various dishes and requested for a pork chatney which they normally serve with pork thali. A very small quantity of pork chatney was served in a little bowl and to my surprise Rs 230 was charged for this chatney stating that it was Chilli pork. I really felt cheated since it was not Chilli pork but a small quantity of chutney. This is not done.
Bhaskar Jyoti Mohan
Good food....tast wise. However quality wise have to improve further. Pork pieces are not of good quality because out of the few pieces of pork meat if you get 2-3pieces whole bones you will be definitely get unhappy...lets don't be forget what they charges is always in the higher side. The boiled cabbage side dish is useless.....just show big and bring variety and to feel like value for money they serves this useless cabbage boiled dish....let's me explain Every time I went to have food there I always left almost 90% and every1 does this only. We have more places to have pork in and around Guwahati....but if you wish to spend more having and bringing holes in your pocket then I will insist people to definitely visit this place.. other places for better food food at better price available at Guwahati are- chungfa, China town, Chinese hut, missing kitchen, ziya,....

Food is absolutely yummy.Love any kind of pork preparation from this place! I had some amazing Momos and pork with bambbooshoot few months back! Love the place!
Sidh Sarma
Been to you guys long back and was a huge fan of your food. However since my last visit the illusion is shattered. Service was as usual very good, your service staff were truly professional and kept the place alive, however your food was completely a disaster in comparison to my previous visit a year back.
Pragya Deb
This place no doubt serves one of the best pork dishes in town. I had gone there with a few friends in the evening. We had ordered a glass of fruit punch, pork with bamboo shoots, steam pork momos and fried pork momos. The food no doubt was really good. The only lacking we found was that they took a lot of time to serve us. But despite it, the food was really appetising and the ambience brilliant.
Aparna Das
Great place to have a sumptuous naga thali (as of veg, chicken or pork)...that's what everyone orders here....very good, as per the price, i must say.
.....
But what i ordered the second time i visited, withy family was their Chinese Menu, consisting of the mushroom starter(the best till now), veg hakka noodles (nice), the veg fried rice (decent flavours), chilli chicken(it had a naga twist to it, unique in taste), and the veg manchurian (succulent n melting in your mouth)...they served quite a good amount for 3 people (as i could take the left over with me..😋😋)...
....
Though i have a issue with their service time as our starter came along with the main course, my family and me had a great time dining out...the total bill was around ₹1200..😃...👍👍
P.S- Btw, i posted the related photo earlier..you could check it out for reference.

Excellent food and beverage choice....... welcoming staff with amazing service. Enjoyed the meal. Choice of local cuisine is very nice. Traditional mix is all the preparation served.
Nitumoni Daimari
It is one of the favorite restaurants of my family. If you are opting for good homely authentic food then it is a perfect place for you.The dry pork with bamboo shoot is unbeatable.I love coming over and over again to this place.👌
Rahul D
I don't understand the hype around this place. Their food is no better than any other average Naga food joint in Guwahati but what they charge is more than double of what others charge. They charged rupees 30 for a water bottle which is 50% higher than the MRP. In our visit we mainly had Naga chicken and pork thali, though I must give credit to their pork preparation. The pork dishes and chutney tasted good. Finally, beware moderate to less chilly eaters. Your ass could be on fire next morning 😁

Worst response. I called to order for my home delivery and they gave me phone number which is not answered by anyone. Day by day it's detoriating. Either change the workers or else it will be shut down very soon

I had an amazing time at naga kitchen. The food I tried was pork chowmein, pork dry fry and crispy chicken. All of It was scrumptiously delicious with both good quality and quantity.
The only negative point I felt was....they took a long time to prepare our order....though the wait was worth , but they could have done a bit early.
Meghna Baruah
Naga food is my favourite food!
Tried the smoked pork thali and it was so yum!
The smoked pork was just spot in and amazing!
2 thalis were more than enough for 3 people. It had rice, boiled veggies, Dal, smoked pork, mashed potatoes, a chili dry pork and another type of pork.
Along with this we also ordered lai hak pork which was very light and the lai hak just neutralised the spiciness of the chili.
So glad to have found this place. Will definitely visit this place next time I'm in Guwahati.

New experience and taste .Nutritious and healthy food and special try bamboo shoot it's a new flavour experience . Basically the taste of food can't be liked by all the people but it's good
Taste-3
Presentation-3.5
Ambience-3.5
Quality-4
Price-3
If you come to GUWAHATI please dine in this .

Very worst experience. Prices are high and no taste at all. Fried rice was overboiled and chicken curry was all boiled up with no good flavour.. Waste of money

It was a good experience. Food was outstanding . The hospitality was great there. Looking forward to revisit again . Great job done by the team :)

Location: opposite of Pantaloons, above Govindam Sweets, Downtown
Ambience: Good
Service : Good
Prices: not too high
Taste, Quality and Quantity is good..
Nishigandha Sharma(Feed_me_more)
Not a big fan of Naga cuisine but I tried it once and it was taste worthy. People go crazy about this place so everytime it remains either full or only 2-3 tables are empty. They have a lot of branch and every branch gives you the best and same quality of food.
My experience was good and would love to visit more :)
Sorry! Forgot to click pictures😄
Thank you!

OK OK kind of food. Taste has degraded compared to what it was 3 years ago. The fried pork and chicken were the best. However, the gravy items disappointed us a lot.
Simran Rajkhowa
Never take thalis..quantity is very less ...n they don't give all items in one plate...
Three people had to share one small bowl of chicken .. literally it was very small...
N price was too high...I don't know about other single items...but never take thalis..
Tanuz Kalita
This place once used to be the 'go to' place for everyone but with time they have only deteriorated. The quantity is very less and the food is not up to the mark either. If you want ethnic food, Tai Singhpo, Khorika is preferred over this place.
Apart from food, service and ambience top notch
Saptami Saikia
All time favorite! The crispy pork fry is wow! Any dish, any time will never disappoint you. Be it nagamese or the Chinese! They will satisfy ur taste buds and the satiety centre right there awesomely. The ambience is unique of its own. When anyone wants to have the taste of northeast, I must say u shud bring them here.
Nabanita Shome
A grt place to get a grt experince! u can see the tradition of north east as d interiors are beautifully decorated with all d traditional items of nagas. now moving on to d food...i can say yes its grt..i ordered steamed rice, pork dry fry with bambooshoots n akuni and chickn fry with naga curry..i got d real ethnic taste fo which i went thr specially..i njoyed d roadaide view too..service was good. cost is a bit high but quantity nd quality both wer also good.
Spondan Bora
Lovely Naga food. The soup is nice but the chicken starters are nothing much different. Main Course is good and so are the momos. Loved the Naga Thali with pork and one should definitely try the chutneys.
Mayur Saikia
Place wise it's great. Service is good indeed. But when it comes to food, it disappointed me. I had ordered for veg thali and some smoked pork with bamboo shoots and some grilled chicken. I found it quite pricey in terms of quantity and quality. Taste was not that as expected. Although they come and asked me about the food.
Rachna Baruah
Naga Kitchen is a must visit for anybody who is staying/travelling to Guwahati. Their authenticity and quality of food is really admirable. Tucked in one of the narrow lanes near Zoo Road, Naga Kitchen really makes you nostalgic of the old guwahati with art deco kind of houses. The interiors are humble and the staff is quite well-trained.

All the best!
Rituparna Barua
Naga kitchen provides you with a good ambience, but when it comes to taste,it rather dissapoints .
I ordered pan fried noodles in a chicken gravy. They served boiled chicken gravy chow. And to add to the agony it was tasteless : no salt no pepper.
It is priced at Rs. 210.
Over priced ,tasteless food.
Sangte Taku
Food is quite good but when it comes to delivery, minimum price is 500 which is too high and especially a single person cannot order above 500!

I am talking about G S Road outlet.
Its a small but very good place with interiors depicting naga culture in a very detailed and attractive manner. Lip-smacking authentic nagamese food.
We had ordered :
1. Crispy fried pork
2. Smoked pork fry
3. Smoked fish with naga curry
4. Chicken & corn soup
5. Steamed rice
I am not very fond of pork but it tasted good specially crispy fried pork and so i enjoyed smoked fish with naga curry which was again good. About chicken n corn soup it was so full of chicken n corn but i dint find my soup. Overall it was a good experience.

Very bad experience. They charge a lot for very bad food. They simply give Slice in the name of mango juice. And add water to coke.the food is horrible too...so tasteless ... ambience sucks too.wilk never ever come to naga kitchen again

I was in Guwahati for the first time and wanted to try something local as it was my first time to North East too. A friend took me to this place and i was happy as i entered and saw the ambience with the nice decor with the weapons, vessels, artwork, etc kept of Naga tribes. We ordered chicken thali, akhni chatni, chicken with bamboo shoots..... the food was quite a lot in quantity and really nice. Something different to try for the first time but must a visit if you have never had food in North east and like exploring food. Courteous and nice staff.

This review has been due since long. Used to be a regular to this place mostly for its Naga Pork Thali. I visited here today after a long gap and my fond hopes of gorging on its food met with serious disappointment. Its quality has degraded from what it used to be- even 2 to 3 years back. Staff was helpful but the management seemed clumsy - for, on reaching the place most of the tables were in a disorder, napkins were missing, cutlery was lying scattered and all that. Quantity has reduced, hardly any pork pieces but more of pork fat and pork what not! Poor presentation, I left the place pretty dissatisfied.

The rating is btw for the older Naga Kitchen for ol' times sake, the one that was reccomendable too, not anymore though.

Its situated right opposite Pantaloons ,food was ok but I feel Zoo road outlet is better in terms of food ..
It's more turning to be oriental restaurant,Would like to see they come up with new dishes!!

Sober ambience. Warm staffs. But please do something about the cooling system.
Great mashed potato, BTW.
And now it seems, I can't finish my review here. As it has to be of 140 characters or more. This is going frustrating now :-D

As you entered you will get smell of bambooshoot only which I found not good as I dnt lik bambooshoot. We ordered chicken and pork thali and chicken lolipop and pork fried. Taste of thali was good as it a naga resturent so max are boiled food in the thali. So if you like boiled food then only order thali or else it will be waste of money. Chicken lolipop and pork fried was good in taste. But when it comes to tax it's very very high. Our sub total was something 800 for food and we paid nearly 300 as tax. Which I found not good.
