Review Spice Route - Guwahati

It was a delightful experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for families. The menu had a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. It was a great place to enjoy a meal together as a family 🍽️😊✨

The spice route restaurant is situated below the Dispur flyover. This place has decent parking space with, valet parking facility. The place is spacious with lower and upper sections. Upper section has the bar. food and service is very good. Costs are moderate to high. But considering the taste and service it's worth it. Enjoyed the place...you can visit with family and friends.

This place has definitely been one of my favourite. Been there for quite some time now but had never disappointed be it the food, (try Indian they are really good), the ambience, the service. I tried the handi mutton with butter naan, dal makhni was good, jeera rice was ok too.. recommended by the staff who served me that evening. Chilled beer 🍻 available yes!

It is such an amazing place. The decor is great and they also have a live music corner with bands/singers performing wonderful melodies. They also have a separate smoking area. Spice Route has a really great ambience and is a perfect place for some fine dining experience. The food- Crispy Fried Babycorn, Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, Hong Kong Chicken, Whole Corn Chicken Soup. The food was absolutely tasty. Babycorn is a family favourite and we always order that. The fried rice and the chicken was equally delicious with the right amount of spice. The prices are a bit high but it is made up for by the delicious food and the big portions. The service is good and the staff is friendly and well mannered. I recommend this place to all.

Good place for dinner. Nice place location, fast service plus nice behaved staff members. You can enjoy delicious food with nice environment. Orchestra facility is also available with a bar. Price is little expensive but overall it is pretty place.

Great ambience, service and food. Good times drinks available too 👍

This place is good cause from outside you can not guess what you gonna see inside of it, inside it has many sections, extra rooms, hall room, overall place is nice, rest of the thing is average, what I liked most is that there are singers who will sing songs for you..
Manish Chetry
One of th coolest stop in Guwahati for tasty food served with a smiling face. Recommended for both veg and non-veg.

We have visited their to celebrate our friends birthday at evening time. It was. Nice place.. We ordered Chicken Chowmin n Chicken Fried Rice but taste like boil food, n bit expensive. Along with high GST.

Great ambience, Professional Staffs, Fast Service, Great Food..... Prices are little high as compared to other restaurants but at the same time, quantity of food is also more than any other/similar restaurants

The place serves tasty Food. Though high on the pockets but the Quantity is good and Quality is also good. Good place for Lunch and Dinner. Had gone there many years ago for dinner and recently went there during snacks time. Had the following:<br/>🍝Chicken Hakka Noodles(It was good)<br/>🌽Crispy ChillyAmerican Sweet Corn(Full of Flavours, Loved it)<br/>☕Milk Coffee( Liked it)<br/>Ambience is good too. Service is good but can be more prompt. Overall good experience😊

Very bad under cooked mutton. Hard to chew and also when we asked to pack the food they kept half of it. Cheap. The bill was over 4k for two people and such cheap behavior? Sorry this place has lost its charm.

Awesome restaurant ...scrumptious food served there....enjoyed the ambience too with old melodies at the background...highly recommended especially crispy fried babycorn!<br/>

This place has been here since a long time now. The ambience is great and on weekends you'll find some local artists performing in the restaurant. Food is great but the staff could have been better. I'd definitely recommend this place for a meal with friends and family

Ambience is really beautiful,, but yeah ambience doesnt attract customers,,coming to the staffs they are also good & responsive ,,now to the main reason why we visit to a restaurant i.e ,its food,,i am really sorry but it was a complete disaster ,but with that price range you will definitely expect some toothsome food in your plate, but no everything that we ordered be it the biryani, dal, prawn curry, everything was absolutely a big no, and although the prices are really high . Do think before visiting🤦

I have been passing by this restaurant several times in the past, but never visited it until yesterday. Well, the commercial complex it is located in looks dingy at night. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant is very spacious inside, with a bar on the first floor. As I visited on a weekend, there was a live band performance, and the restaurant was lit up with every colour of light imaginable. Gave me the feeling of Diwali and Disco at the same time. And that was bit disconcerting for me as I was here for a casual dinner, and have conversations. But the live band was too loud, though the band was decent, I feel they could have done better going unplugged rather than tuning their instruments with the speakers on which was distorting to the ear. However, the band does play popular Bollywood tracks requested by the customers. <br/><br/>Now coming to the most vital part — Food. I was pleasantly somewhat satisfied. <br/>I ordered the following items: <br/>Crispy Baby Corn which was fortunately very crispy and the quantity was good. <br/><br/>Amritsari Fish Tikka: Though pieces were soft, and succulent with the requisite spices. I was tad disappointed by the quantity. Small chunks of 5 pieces for Rs 430 plus taxes. <br/><br/>Chicken Coriander Soup: All good. <br/><br/>Kebab Platter: I think this is the star dish from their Tandoor. As it comes on fancy miniature barbecue and skewers that includes fairly every variant of Kebabs.(2 pieces of Chicken and Mutton kebab each, 2 pieces of Fish Tikka, 4 pieces of Chicken Tikka and 2 Prawn Tikka at price of Rs 795) Price might be slightly on the higher side but I will let it pass as it was delectable for taste.<br/><br/>Staffs: Cordial and Smartly dressed. <br/><br/>Additional notes: <br/>•They do serve complimentary snacks like Papad and sprouts along with the typical chatpatta sliced ginger when you order an alcoholic beverage. <br/><br/>•No smoking zone upstairs so I had to come all the way down and go out of the restaurant to enjoy a cigarette. <br/><br/>Final Verdict: I think the restaurant has a lot of potential if they go subtle on the lighting and decor, and if the live band goes unplugged or acoustic sans the electronic distortions. Also it will be endearing if they come up with some food discounts/combos. I will definitely give it another visit probably lunch time, when the ambience is quiet and serene :) <br/><br/><br/>

The food is really nice. Kabuli naan is a must try. But the ambience is really dark and a little shady. If you don’t catch of the right person there, you wouldn’t be happy with the service.
Kirti Rasiwasia
The food is really nice. But the ambience is a little too dark. Service is a little lousy. Kabuli naan is a must try. You should try the chef recommended item also.
Dorik Kashayp
The food here is absolutely fabulous! The environment is also very aesthetic and overall it’s one of the best restaurants in Assam! I highly encourage you to visit.

The dine and wine restro is very good in ambience , sitting arrangements and interiors... All classic ..the staffs were good but prices are a lot high .. ordered crispy chicken , Budweiser beer and baby corn... The taste was average only

We have been visiting this restaurant every month. It is our family’s favorite place to have dinner. Must try the “egg bhurji” though not in the Menu. Also Paneer Do Plaza, It’s Malai Kofta. They also offer a wide range of menu for non-vegetarians and you can consume alcohol too. You can have any type of parties, they have various options. Also not to forget, there is always a live singer. 💖<br/>Spice Route is a bit expensive as compared to others but the quality and service are worth the rates. Plus it’s okay to go and enjoy once a month!
Niharika Saikia
Greattt food. Love their chilly corn for starters. They have a thai chicken, which is amazing. Amazing chinese as well as indian food. Affordable prices.

This was the time I visited Spice Route when Zomato was not very familiar to us, so giving a feedback was not an option for the consumer and also sharing it with people other than your friends was not a luxury that we got. But now as I get this opportunity to share, this place got some thrillers to trigger your taste buds. Ordered for Prawns, Soup, Fried Rice, Chilli Chicken and Fruit Cream. It was an awesome lunch. Keep it up guys. Hope to visit you soon.

A great place for family dinning . The waiters are good in providing service . The ambience isn’t chaotic. The food here is worth the value . Iliked rheir lakmaikai chicken a lot .

I went to this place on 30 th June with friends. Vegetarian dishes, roti , naan, achari prawn and cocktail prawns , etc were good. But prawn malai curry was not according to recipe, it was very sweet. The ladies toilet was very dirty. In fact it seems they had hired a boy who was below 14 years ( is it allowed?) for this job and he was more interested in the football match on TV ( obviously he was a child) . The AC was not effective and the corner seats were very uncomfortable.

Ok so This is possibly one of the worst reaturants in town. We ordered satay paneer and barwa aloo. And what we found was a dead baby cockroach in the stuffing, thats gross. This entirely depicts the hygiene the resturant maintains and above all tge staff here is no unwelcoming and rude. When we asked them yo cancel the bill because because we did not eat more than half the served food, they simply declined. Although they cancelled the bill amount of bharwa aloo but charged us the amount of satay despite us not even having it. I recommed that no one in this city should ever visit this unhealthy resturant. It is the worst choice one can make. Horibble experience..

Spice route is probably my fav fine dining restaurant. They serve the best food. The staff is friendly and the ambience is amazing. Love this place!!!

I shall come straight to the part where I felt the ambience is nice, food quality is good and the service, Thats the worse part.. I literally had to search the waiters or the manager everytime i needed something from them.

Awesome food...masala kulcha is outstanding... mostly I liked the Indian spread in the restaurant. The have an interesting Chinese menu which I'm yet to try...

The food is just yum...and the best place to go when you want to satisfy your mood<br/>..environment is very relaxing but the price is a bit high though

It was quite late in the night when we were returning home, so we decided to grab a quick dinner here. <br/><br/>We ordered chicken manchow soup, which was quite nice and spicy and when we asked for some extra crispy noodles, they complied :) <br/><br/>For starters, we wanted something like Delhi’s honey chili potatoes - this dish wasn’t that great because there was no trace of spices, and it was a little too sweet. <br/><br/>Main course was - Achari fish Tikka - passable. Not that great. And Biryani - This was not good at all. So we expected something like dum biryani - but it was weird combination of neither dum biryani nor kolkata biryani, but it did have a potato!
Buggs
I went there a couple of times. On every visit found their food to be totally bland. The Palak Kofta(?) was disastrous. Starters were however edible. Caution: Don't try the Beet Tikka/Kebab(if its still in their menu). JUST DON'T. Overall I didn't like their Indian items, the Oriental ones were better. <br/>The ambience is nice. Very courteous staff. 3.5 for that.

Loooooove the interior!<br/>Had some super yummy oyster chicken and drums of heaven in this place! Also, they serve mouth watering biryani! A little expensive, but it's worth it. Service is good as well. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

The non-veg platter is my personal favourite. Love this place. Spacious. Good interiors. Services are good. Food is awesome and money worth!

Today I visited this restro with 2 of my friends<br/>We had 1crispy chilli potato - It was good in quantity, taste was good too<br/>Second thing which we ordered was - chicken65- It's taste was good too<br/>Along with these 2 starters we also had soft drinks(coke)<br/>Loved the food and the ambience <br/>Service is good<br/>Staff members are well trained<br/>Food price is good<br/>Worth the money<br/>Interiors are good too

For reasons I cannot be sure of, this place has always had rather obnoxious service. Yet it continues to have customers, probably because they serve alcohol (to put it bluntly). I wouldn't advise people to go here, especially not on special occasions as it woukd ruin your day.
Snigdha Das
What I loved about this place is the food... It was way too good... Service was great and the ambience was warm and welcoming.. Will visit again soon
Indrani Choudhury
I loved it... except that the lemon chilly chicken which we ordered for, had no essence of either lemon or chilly. It was sweet in taste, somehow I feel it doesn't do justice to the name "lemon chilly" chicken. Otherwise it's a beautiful place with live music every night at 9. I would rate this place 4/5.
Sandipan Barthakur
Went there for a family dinner party and fell in love with it. Very nice place - beautiful ambience and great music coupled with stylishly decorated interiors and nicely done seating arrangements. Menu has variety in it and the food is a delight for the tastebuds. Service is efficient and can be improved a notch. That being said, this place is perfect for family dinners and hosting small banquets. Recommended!
Maddy
Great ambience... soothing music....very polite staff....Had naan, pulau, aloo dam, paneer-chicken(which was recommended by the staff) and it tasted superb... overall a nice experience.
Swagata Das
Great ambience and really good food! We tried Fish and Chips and the Frontier Mixed Grill and the platter was as varied as it was delicious. We got chicken, mutton, prawn and fish in the platter and it is enough for four. Try it out!
Bhargab Goswami
Nice ambience, but exhorbitantly priced. Ordered for a simple lunch consistong of rice dal mix vegetanles and chicken followed by sweet dish, yet bill shot up to 1800 inclusive taxes. Mind d price of mineral water also, Rs 50 per bottle and gst extra!!!
Samiran Bera
With very good ambiance the place is very good to end your dinner with family. Food is finger licking good. Especially kulcha is very tasty. And chicken items are quite good.
Niyor Sarmah
Great experience here..everthing was good.we had chicken drumsticks as a starter which were delicious and naan and butter chicken and fried rice for maain course which was again delicious..staff was average.pricing was decent and ambience was top of it..music played however was lame on side but overall a great place for a brunch or dinner.
Violina
Ambience: Very good<br/>Service: Good<br/>Food: Ok<br/><br/>Enjoyed our family get together last night. Ordered few drinks and drums of heaven for starters. It was ok not delicious but not bad either. Main course we had peas pulao, naans (plain and garlic), chicken lazeez and mutton rogan josh. I would suggest not to try the mutton. Garlic naan was rally good. Service was good.<br/><br/>What upset me was the fact that they charged 50 Rs for a 20 Rs mineral water bottle. Even after the government making it clear that bottles have to be charged according to MRP. I have attached pictures here. When we raised this issue with the management they removed the water bottles from the bill altogether. I am mentioning it here so that others are aware of it and the management shouldn't try to fool others.

Ambience is good for family and there is a live band who plays good assamese and hindi songs. But one disappointing thing was the fish that was served in the Non Veg platter, it was stinking like stale fish or so called "saalani" fish. Even the fish fingers were not fresh and tasted like stale fish. Other wise its a good restaurant to visit with one's family.
Saptami Saikia
Food - 3.5<br/>Ambience- 3.5<br/>Value for money- 4<br/>Location- 3<br/>Live music-4<br/>Dishes recommended - Baked fish! It was delicious!<br/><br/>We went for my aunt's birthday celebration here. The live music, prolly the 90s Bollywood songs made my Aunt too happy! Food is good too. So I would say, this is one place u can visit with ur friends, relatives and enjoy the music as well!<br/>
Ankit Barman
Great food at relatively cheap prices. Good place for dinner with friends and family/colleagues. The service is great. Occasionally good artists tend to perform at the venue.

The Interior Of The Restaurant Was Good Infact Very Good! Been There With My Cousin Bro! We Had Some Hard Drinks There And Then Just Fried Rice With Dal Makhani And Garlic Naan! Bill Wasn't That Expensive! It Was Around 1600/- Food Quality Was Very Good! Service Was Fast! And Yeah Liquor Was Also Not Expensive!!!! :-) :-) :-)
Kabyanuj Khound
It was a nice experience for me. The staff are polite and friendly and the ambience soothing. The food was very tasty. I especially liked the sushi fish..
Shivajee Biswanath
Been to this place a couple of times. Perfect for a family gathering for dinner. Their live music is an added bonus and takes the ambiance a few notches higher. Their interior is pretty good and interesting. Staff is so polite!<br/>Coming to the food, vegetable jhalfrazee was totally on point. It had an interesting mix of veggies and they were soft and tender. Plus, the dish had a burnt taste which enhanced the flavor. Good job!<br/>The crispy baby corns were exactly how they should be. Murgh Afghani was also on point and went really well with the peas pulao that we had ordered. However, the lemon chilly butter chicken was a disappointment as the dish turned out to be quite tangy.<br/>Overall, a wonderful place. Worth visiting. And my favorite place to have dinner with family and close friends.
Bishal Changmai
We were sitting in the 1st floor. It was very hot in the corner table. Service was very bad. Food was good. We wanted to shift the table but they didn't respond.
Mayank Agarwal
Went in for a Dinner on a Sunday night, the place was quiet and pretty empty, maybe 3-4 tables occupied. The ambiance was really nice, with the chic modern decor. We took sitting on the first floor with a balcony overlooking live much being played below. We had gone in with an aim for drinks so ordered ourselves Vegetable Mix Grill (Veg Platter) and two Chinese starters to go along with the drinks, all the items were very good and the quantity great, we were packed and ended up wasting a bit among three of us. The prices are quite reasonable for such an establishment considering we paid about Rs.2000/- for our four beers and the meal.
Vijay Gaurav
Highly Overpriced!!! That's the only thing comes in mind finishing with this restaurant. Prices of dishes are not justified given their quality and quantity. Starters like murg angar bedgi and Achari fish tikka etc. are bland in test. Main course chicken items are usual fare except murg methi malai; but again not meeting the price. Butter Naan saved some grace but pulav is ridiculously chewy. Better options are available in dispur area. On top of that a bottle of water of shitty brand costs you Rs. 50/-. Not recommended.

This place is very close to Downtown, and it's perfect place for family get together . We hosted a lot of family get together at this place because of its ambiance, food quality and service . I would like to share my experience from my wedding anniversary party at this restaurant. I chose this place for its close proximity to my house, I have also learned about their wonderful music in the evening and great food . Manager was courteous enough, he understood our budget and worked around it . I would really suggest this place if you want to have a great lunch/dinner with your family members. <br/>I visited in 2016 December . <br/>

This place serves good food. Ambience is pleasant and maintained very nicely. The service is also good. When I visited few days back, staff were friendly. You can try the cocktail ranges. The prices of the food served are high and preparation is nice.<br/>

Had lunch with one of my friend.Really nice ambiance with soothing playlist. One of my best was fish in hot garlic sauce..definitely try that out. Decor is really good. Staffs are friendly..if you want to enjoy delicious indian food Must visit this place.

I came here with my mother once afer we were travelling back from the site baba temple and we were exhausted. the food was great. I didn't like their Hakka chow mein a lot but their naan and chicken curry was amazing.

Good Food yet costly. Expected more from such food institution. Quantity wise it's little unjustified but taste wise it is prominent. I love the service though loud at some point due to music. Food to taste list goes to an extent like Malai Methi Chicken, Naans, Paneer and vegetables. Good for non veg, though. Hope improvement follows with improvisation of prices...
Pankaj Mistry
Food was average for the price I was expecting something better. We ordered Oriental Platter for starters, for the price it was not that great. For the main course I asked for boneless chicken bharta and thai green curry. After 15 minutes of wait I was informed thai green curry is not available, that was really dissapointing so I asked for a safe bet chilli chicken.<br/>When the food was served, they brought a different dish of chicken and that was really upsetting. Taste wise food was ok. Ambience is good if you are going for a drink+food option, however it may not be suitable for a family outing. Overall for the price, I was really dissapointed, given that I had a gala lunch the day before at Missing Kitchen.

Heartening to see the food scene in Guwahati evolving. Spice Route is one of the new ones I saw this time I visited the city. <br/><br/>Took the family out for dinner and we were not disappointed. There was live music and good food. Ordered a whole lot of things from Mughal to Chinese. <br/><br/>Mosquitoes! Only issue.
Ankush Choudhury
it was a ok place..now not so ....food is good. nothing extravagant. nothing special.<br/><br/>ambience average...service needs improvement and prices shud b checked.

Spice route is one of the best restaurants in guwahati... yummy food, music a nice place 2 hangout wd frnds nd also best fr celebrations as d restaurant is spacious...😊 i always enjoy being there nd the staff is vry friendly... the tax is a bit high bt it is ok if the service being served is so gud...😊

Spice route serves like the one of the yummiest food. I like the way everything is done there like the seating arrangements and stuff. However, it's isn't pocket friendly at all. The price is too high and therefore going there with your friends becomes a little rare.
Sidhartha Dutta
HIGHLY OVERPRICED restaurant.  If you eat a moon fun mushroom fried rice and a veg platter  and that cost you 744 with tax I think its overpriced.  Platter was a chinese kichidi to be precise. Moon fun fried rice was normal stuff pretty average. The restaurant does boast of spacey interior and decors but I found it average .Cold drinks at 55 INR can just murder you I dont understand WHY?? the cold drinks was pricey was it because it was served inside a restaurant whose AC WAS AT its mind best or was it because someone served the cold drinks with a decorated pipe inside a glass full of cold drink.   According to me just overrated restaurant.
Apurba Misra
A very warm and inviting place. Sufficient parking. Great Service. And certainly excellent food. One must try the cheese nan and dal fry. its really very good. the Chinese items are also good. very reasonable prices especially for the drinks. the live band really helps a lot.

This restaurant is ideal for a good family dinner/lunch. The staff is very courteous and the ambience is very good. Coming to the food, I've only tried out their Indian Cuisine and it has been great so far. They have a lot of options to choose from and the flavours are good too.
Hrishiraj Talukdar
Lovely place to go out with family. Delicious starters, and main course.love the variety it offers. Environment is good and dark. enough space is there to keep a distance from the other table. The fried rice and a Chinese's cuisine are a must try here. Ample parking space.staff are friendly. Fish finger is starters, try once.plus if you love sea food go for a try.

Good food good interior and ya i love the menu tasty too i visited only once but ya it was good to visit there staffs are good and polite😊😊😊
Antaraa (Emon)
One of the best fine dining restaurant in guwahati. Located at a prime location, easily accessible, and has a huge parking space. Moving on to the interiors, very spacious, well decorated and furnished. The staffs were good and the waiters are very friendly and attentive even though the restaurant remains crowded during dinner Time. Coming to the food and flavours the taste is excellent, very well organised and nicely plated. The price is a bit on the higher side, but it doesn't matter, since their food and hospitality is very warm, so what more do you need! A must visit with family!
Angiraa B
Spice route is a fine dining restaurant located near Secretariat in Dispur. It was one of the foremost places I used to visit when I first shifted to Guwahati. I always go for their north Indian cuisine as I love it. The kulchas and the Indian curries and gravies are delicious. The service is good and the interiors are beautiful. I just dont like whenever the band plays in the evening as it becomes a bit too loud. But overall, it's a nice place to visit with your family, friends or partner. Even now I hop in whenever I am nearby and crave for some North Indian food and a beautiful ambience to sit and relax.

Spice Route is a grand outlet and it's an average rating place.<br/>Made really well but disappointing because of it's high rates in comparison of the place.<br/>Food is really good but yes it's better if you visit Red hot chilli pepper instead of this place as the price rates are almost same .Accordingly if you love Chinese this cannot be the perfect destination. Music is too loud for a fine dinning . Service is good indeed 👍<br/>Food is okay , Quality is also fine but yes not authentic Chinese as its twisted version of North Indian Chinese...
Akshit
Not normal, but suddenly I was craving for proper north Indian food and I was so confused from where to get it. In Guwahati we really don't have much option for authentic north Indian food but then while browsing through I saw spice route.quickly called them ordered garlic naam with kadahi chicken and I was literally amazed how quickly they delivered the food. Taste was good but I guess much expectations were much higher for the food.

Got a chance to be here at a friends marriage anniversary, this place didn't disappoint me, food was good service was good too cant complain when there is so many guests. Overall a decent place for people to enjoy.
Vivek Kedia
Very good family restaurant, they have an amazing menu of oriental and Indian. The service was slow hence they didn't add service charges which was a good gesture. The food is good . Overall a good place to eat.
Fat_ninza_alvina
food is good. nothing extravagant. nothing special.<br/>ambience average. <br/>and to my bad luck i ended up in this place on a weekend, and there was this band playing. <br/>it was way too loud for a fine dining restaurant.

This is my 1st review in #zomato ,spice route was our choice for a dinner with family & close friends .we ordered Chinese chicken fried rice, veg noddles, 2 non veg items( forgot the names) , chicken hot & sour soup & paneer item. .To my surprise food was not bad.I really liked the veg noodles .<br/>We also ordered desserts but there was not much choice so Ice cream is what we ordered butter scotch & sundae.<br/>Ambience was fine, thank god the AC was functioning.A big thank you to the boy who was singing and his band.they were good and created a very good environment.didn't get a chance to thank them.<br/>A can try place.
Priyangka Mahanta
One of those rare days when you visit family and we all decide to go out for dinner..<br/>We decided on spice route. Like it's said when in doubt order Chinese. Yes we did exactly the same thing .we tried their Hakka veg noddles, non veg fried rice & 2 non veg item ( sorry can't recall the names) && a paneer item.<br/>Food was good much more then I expected it to be...<br/>Not much choice of desserts so tried butterscotch & Sundae. <br/>Ambience is good, much respect for the boy band .they were good, specially the guy who was singing.didnt get a chance to thank them since they left before we were done with our dinner.<br/>A can try place :)

We were given stale food. So we ordered chicken reshmi but to our dissapointment the chicken stinkes. Interiors are nice but food is an dissapointment for sure.
Anchal Somani
A single word is enough to describe this place - 'fabulous'. Such a beautiful and gawdy ambience. And equally good food. Spacious. Damn! I'm in love with SpiceRoute.
Gourav Jain
We tried nargesee kofta, lala mussa dal, garlic and plain naan. The kofta was amazing. Never tasted one like this before. Dal and naan was not Upto the mark. Dal was tasteless and naan was half burnt. We complained about the same to the waiter but things didn't change. The ambience is good.<br/>Overall it's an average place.
Shruti Jalan
Restaurant with live music always attracts me, having heard a lot about the place I finally visited it, I would rate the food here as average, the ambience is decent. If u want to get away from the city rush, can opt for this.
Tara D
I've been here twice and eaten Indian cuisine on both occasions, mainly their assorted kebabs(which are served on the grill), Indian breads and other curry items such as Roghan Josh, etc. The food here was good with a special mention for their chicken hariyali kebabs which are succulent and very well marinated.Service wise, their staff are polite and attentive.Sadly, their lower section had quite a buzz of mosquitoes else I would've surely rated them higher.I'd definitely go here again and hope the management does something about the mosquito menace.

So I went to this place because it was well rated on zomato and also because it was in the locality where we had put up ... Bad service average food and mediocre ambience .. Went there for specially having dumplings and they gave me manchurian ... Would not go back .. Although there is live music on the weekends which quite sets the ambience the food quality is not at all upto the mark

For Spice Route, as well, I have got my food home delivered quite a few times. Undoubtedly, they serve some really delicious food, always leaving people with wanting it more. <br/><br/>I am in total love with their garlic nun, which is beautiful flavours. But, I, in no way, would leave the rest of the items behind. The food is always delivered warm and one does not need to re-heat it again. And with the packaging that they do, the food tends to remain warm for a longer duration of time than the usual.<br/><br/>On the basis of the food and service, I give them 3.5/5.

Pros:<br/>Parking <br/>Quality of food <br/>Quantity of food <br/>Interiors <br/>Ambience<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>Upholstery show signs of wear & tear<br/>Slow service <br/>Location <br/>Music <br/><br/>Although it started quite well, the quality has gone down considerably. The upholstery shows clear sign of wear & tear, the waiters are quite rough and the overall experience has gone down. Plus, the food today definitely doesn't match up to to the price level.

This is a good, decent priced family restaurant in guwahati.they have a lot of variety from Indian to Chinese. The food is good and the service is nice. Went on a weekend and a live band was playing English songs.

Okay so this is one well done restaurant around this area!<br/>4/5~~ for its well done interiors and also coz it's soo big families friendly ...with lots of space :)<br/>3/5~~ for its FOOD ...They dint have Tomato Soup actually No Indian soup n dats disappointing :(<br/>Other than that their Chinese Main course was just average ..nothing worth talking about.<br/>What kills it is their FOOD PROPORTIONS....just not satisfactory if you want to eat a hearty meal for the money you pay!<br/>Overall I may someday go again for some fancy fine dining but not regularly. I'm sure they can improve on their taste, availability and proportions!

One of the few places in town where you get to enjoy live music as you dine with your family or friends for a special evening. The interior is very elegantly decorated and has both upper and lower sections open for seating. The upper section however suits better if you prefer to drink. For the convenience of smokers, they also have a smoking zone which looks really fancy with those comfy couches. The food is good. But the mocktail is not something i would happily ask you to go for. Overall it was a really nice experience. The waiters were really friendly but we would love it if they would have a quicker service. <br/>

A good friend of mine recommended this place upon asking her "I wanna have good food...do you know any place...?"<br/>The food was really good as she had said...but what I really liked about this place was it's service...I was really impressed with the service they provided...the place is suited for celebrating birthday parties...there is live music too (but I guess it's not there everyday)<br/>

Food is amazing but a tad too expensive.kebabs are good but biryani is not up to the mark. Prime location in Guwahati serves the purpose but need to ramp up the apartment where it is located itself.

Another very bad experience at Spice Route.<br/>Went there after much contemplation and to no surprise we were given bad service and rather average food.<br/>Service was extremely slow even when the place was half full. Waiters had experience or knowledge. Even the head steward was super un-welcoming.<br/>To the food:<br/>-Hakka Paneer : god knows why this is hakka and is totally tasteless apart from the oil and salt.<br/>-Gol Matol Aloo - it tastes ok but nothing extra ordinary <br/>-Chinese Bhel : again very average. Little soggy as well<br/><br/>Mains:<br/>-Lalla Mussa Dal : decent but you get better in other places<br/>-Punjabi Aloo Dum : basically the aloo starter with some tangy gravy<br/>-Nizami Handi : mixed vegetables in a semi gravy curry. This had some different flavors and full of good vegetables. So thumbs up on this<br/>-breads : naan was a little too thick.Missi Roti was good

Well, unfortunately it will be wise to compare pear to a pear. Spice route is undoubtedly one of the limited respite venues available to a typical foodie nerd in the city. If ambiance is one of the essential factors for you when you dine and wine, bingo, this is for you. No disdain for the food too, it certainly trespasses average and kisses between wow to great.  The cherry topping on the cake is the live music. So, great choice in Guwahati....Dine and Wine...................
Kuwali Sarma
Food is really good here. Must try-<br/>1. Peas Pulao.<br/>2. Veg dish with mushrooms (dont remember the name)<br/>3. Butter chicken<br/><br/>Live music plays everyday , making the ambience very nice for a fine dining experience. <br/>A no-no would be  mutton dishes , which are generally overpriced.<br/><br/>Parking facility available, taxes charged are too much.
Sanjukta Dutta
A decent family dining place where you can expect Chinese and Indian Food under the same roof. The décor is colourful and there is a live band performance for the diners to enjoy while eating and dining. <br/>i recommend you to try their Pashtoni Jashn, Achari Jhinga, King Prawn Pepper Salt and Spicy Lemon Chicken. This place is well located and has ample of parking place and hence makes it a’ frequently visit place’ for city revellers.

Have been to spice route a couple of times, each time I garnered more looking towards it. Food extremely delicious. Has a bar, with extensive range of liquor. So, if you are foods frenzy along with being an alcohol phillie this would be your choice.

Went for lunch with my ma'am in 2014. The chicken lollipops which we ordered as starters were very delicious. The main course too didnot dissapoint us but could have been a little better... The sweet dish was not up to the mark. Personally I feel that the prices are a bit high and the service is not that great
Aanandita
Went there for a lunch party. I would love to give a 5 but then the lime soda disappointed me. it was either too sweet or too salty and the power backup was not so quick. But the KING PRAWN! the best in town. must try. it absolutely melts in the mouth. The fish oyster sauce and drumstick were good to. And the noodles and chicken garlic were average though they could have served a fuller quantity. would definitely visit it for the prawn and the fish.

Was my cousin's bday and had just just arrived from Delhi... So thought of giving some restaurant a hand which had not been to before...<br/>Loved the look and we choose the centre table... Ordered the starters<br/>1.Pan Fried Chilli Oyster Fish<br/>2.Shrimp Pepper Salt<br/>3.Mutton Kebab <br/>All were well prepared and the fish was exceptionally yum...Then went for some cocktails which was a bit disappointing as they didn't get us the one we ordered... Then we had our chit chats and finally was lunch time...It comprised of Fish in Ginger Wine Sauce ... Roasted Lamb in Sezchuan Sauce... Shredded Chicken in Corn and Pepper...we were too full ... So no to desserts...<br/>

Awesome place especially the music. Last time i went there it was to celebrate my aunt's wedding anniversary. Simply brilliant food but THE MOST delicious food I had was the drums of heaven. Really loved it!

I usually visit this place with my family members.. its our favourite restaurant... The ambience of place is nice and perfect . Now the food talk. I would personally suggest everyone to try crispy babycorn and drums of heaven served here.. they are delicious and my favourite. But today I also tried the indian dishes served here.. I ordered chicken butter masala, lulla mussa dal, vegetable dum biryani, butter naan, singapore noodles and for dessert sundae.. I would say everything served on our table was delicious. I specially loved the butter chicken though the quantity was less but its worth a try.. moreover I would also appreciate about the hospitality and service of the staffs. They were very good. This place is a must go for everyone . In a nutshell- great food, nice ambiance, good music and you can dine with wine here.<br/><br/><br/>

The music annoys me but I bear with it. I do not like live music that puts me to depression. The musicians look sad too. They sing well buy the place is NOT for live music. <br/><br/>For the food, crispy fried babycorn is what I generally start with. It is good. The sauce can improve. The chicken starter was decent. <br/><br/>I think the best thing here is its main course. I just love their dal. The chicken was oily. The dum aloo was oily. The naan was good. They did not have garlic naan the day we went. Disappointing. <br/><br/>Overall a decent place for family get togethers. They can get creative with the menu and the emvironment.

Nice ambience , food could have been better ... Staff and hospitality too needs to tighten up to steer this ship well.<br/><br/>Food quality was not at par with the expectations and the name we had heard. <br/><br/>Also serving Lime soda alongside Soup didn't make any sense...
Tarpana Goswami
We had many a delightful evening in this restaurant. The price is a bit steep compared to the quantity served but the food makes it worth it. <br/>My personal favourite is the 'Frontier Mixed Grill' and the 'Jalali Jheenga'.<br/>The ambiance was soothing with live music in the background but the seating arrangement can be made better. The staff is attentive. <br/>Overall nice experience.
Dipannita Kaushik

There is no doubt this is one of the best Restaurants in Guwahati. This food front has dazzled me everytime. The service was superb, the food was really good and the ambience is one of the best i have seen yet. If you are a foodie this is the right place to be. I would rate this at the top 3 of my favourite Restaurants in Guwahati. The Crispy Babycorn starter and Wanton Chicken is a must try...
