Loved Chicken Momos and Dry Pepper Prawns. Thai green chicken curry was okay as it was bit on the spicy side rather than giving that coconut milk creamy taste. Java pepper noodle was having Indian noodle taste. Small basement parking is there. Ambience is good with calming lightening.

The food was delicious 🤤 We ordered Drums of heaven, Kung Pao Chicken, mix hakka noodles and Confucius chicken fried rice. The drums of heaven was so delicious. It was crispy and yummy. The hakka noodles and Kung Pao chicken was also very delicious. I didn't like the fried rice much coz I don't like fried rice but my friend said she liked it. And the staff was very good. Thank you for the awesome service guys.

A full detailed experience: Atmosphere: good, hygienic and has lovely Chinese inspired decor, but could be better and larger. Food: Really shines in the food department. Authentic Chinese cuisine. Try the Mixed Hakka Noodles. Service: Okay service, nothing special. I would recommend this place for a good sober night out.

Went for the 5th time in last 5 years. This place is a emotion where I gave my first bday party in guwahati 4 yrs ago. The place have been reduced but the quality of food still remains same. One plate of noodles is sufficient for two people . We ordered chicken Chilly garlic Noodles and ching mi chicken with white gravy. Both the items were perfect in taste and quantity.

Sounds like real Chinese cuisine, right?! Yes it is, indeed. The decor is very classy and clean. The ambience is spacious,they have big area including bar space at the very end, so one can dine&wine. Prices are very affordable as compared to the quantity served. We have ordered for 'Five Spicy Chicken' & 'Stir fried noodles(mix)' with some beverages. This was my 2nd time that I opted for Confucius and might continue the same. One should give a try. Thank you!

Nice ambience, great food. Tastes amazing. The only thing I felt odd was while we were still eating one of the staff cleaned our table. While we were still eating. That was I think a bid misleading. Otherwise. Great Chinese food for mood.

Why I loved it? The only reason is that they serve authentic mandarin/ Chinese cuisines. I never expected that they would really put lemon grass in the Lemon grass chicken starter. It was sumptuous. Even the fish starter and the nain course was palatable. So if you are a Chinese cuisine fan then this is the best place in Guwahati. It's located in GS Road and visible from traffic. Only thing I'm not sure is about their parking. The attached bar closes at 2200 hours. Great place for family, friends and loners..

The place is good & probably the best for those who love Chinese. They have a huge variety. I went there with my friend and order Hakka noodles & Shanghai noodles. The price was a bit high but the taste was awesome and the quantity was satisfying! You should definitely visit it!

Everything fine other than the price of the water bottle .. same water bottle you get for ₹20 outside, they charge it ₹50.. they sell the airport supply and loot the people in the name of water. Please change it..

The ambience is soothing and welcoming. We waited for the food to arrive for quite some time. The interior is nice; washroom not so much. Nothing outstanding about the service too. They have a bar n there's no partition for family room or drinky-party. We ordered dimsums, which have a different name on the menu. Cue for customers - ask if those are fresh or reheated over n over, coz I felt like they were tight from the freezing and reheating. Taste was okay. We ordered chicken fried rice, regular stuff like any other Chinese restaurant. However the Cantonese chicken was the star. It's not very spicy, it seemed healthy with all the mushrooms, baby corns n prawns, and it was delicious! If you have Chinese food on your mind, this place has the potential to satiate that.

Nice decor, friendly and professional staff. Good lighting and relaxed ambience. My mother is fond of fish but they were out and suggested prawn instead. The starters were delicious. The fried rice was ok, the chicken gravy was a bit overseasoned. The prawn hot garlic was not up to the mark, I was told. The veg manchurian balls were charred so we couldn't eat it, on telling the wait staff, they promptly took it away and reduced the bill amount. Overall not bad at all. Would visit again, and try other dishes.

Good place to have lunch or dinner with family and friends. Ambience is nice and quantity of food served is ample. Taste is also good and is moderately priced.

As many of you know, Confucius has been a place for a nice outing with family and friends in the city for quite a while now. And it's still got it! With awesome decor and friendly staff, and with the mild music in the backdrop, it makes for a lovely afternoon meal. Do visit the place if you haven't, and if you have, visit again😄 P. S. Their 'Drums of Heaven' are actually heavenly💕

Food is good except a few dishes like Shredded Chicken which is not cooked properly. Staff is polite. Through the reception manager is a but harsh to talk. Pricing is okay seeing the location. Nice ambience.

I am very disappointed at the way the restaurant has deteriorated over time. It used to be one of my fav Chinese restaurants. But now, I can’t decide which is worse- the service or the (un)availability of food. There are only 2-3 gentlemen serving customers, and even they seem to be hating their job. Had to request them multiple times for basic things like tissue paper and cutlery. The bar is open as though for-show only, with little to no variety in drinks as mentioned in the menu. The Sizzlers are prepared like Chopsuey! I’m having a hard time understanding how such an amazing place has turned into the sad little thing, which it is now.

Food was tasty and above average but the service was worst which made review stars with three only for food..staff full of attitude even no response if asked for..manager should once get through it as if it keeps happening no customers would like to visit instead of tasty food..

As in Confucious was the only decent Chinese restaurant for fine dining in Guwahati few years back. However, they have been complacent in their attitude with equally competitive restaurants available now. As in no table mats, condiments on table etc. <br/><br/>The server will compel you to order a particular food item, and blatantly decline some particular food items on the menu. Forget to add an item that was ordered. Requirement of certain stuffs like cutlery, sauce, water came at a snails pace. To a point where I had to get up several times to help myself. Also, it seems the AC was on for the sake of it, no cooling. One of the best places for chinese food in Guwahati. The spring rolls and wantons are very good. Baby corn taste differs with every visit. Manchurian has always been fantastic paired the ginger, capsicum rice. Darsan here is one of the best in guwahati. A must go place for chinese lovers.

Portion size is good so be vary before ordering. The taste and ambience are above average. However,what makes me give 3 stars instead of the deserving 4 is that in the instant visit ,the order took an unreasonable time to be ready.secondly the bill was erroneously prepared and we were charged for double the quantity even though the same was rectified late on being pointed out. Went for lunch with a friend of mine on a sunday afternoon. The manager was very unwelcoming judging by how he showed us two seats which was exactly near the entrance door even though we wanted to go inside (He said that part of the restaurant wasn't open)<br/>Food however, was delicious along with quantity. Service from the waiter was good though and drinks were 50-50 since most of it wasn't available<br/>That was it.

Hands down, my favourite Chinese Restaurant in Guwahati. Right from the ambience to the Food and the staff, everything is on point. The Drums of Heaven are to die for! The noodles are perfectly cooked, the chicken main course dishes are what real Chinese food tastes like. Moreover, the interior decorations give a very traditional and oriental vibe which I absolutely love.

Confucius is a place that generally can be vouched for as far as the food it has to offer goes. My favourite from this restaurant is their lamb. You can taste the actual subtle flavours of the meat quite distinctively in whatever preparation you order it in. I like their prawn too. Don't remember the exact name of the dish but the gravy had a nutty flavour to it which went quite well with the seafood. Among poultry, their honey glazed chicken is quite nice and goes well with any rice preparation. But something which has always dissapointed me about this place are their sizzlers. They are a waste of money here.<br/>Confucius also has a nice bar menu with a good selection of mocktails as well. Overall, a place I enjoy visiting as long as I'm not ordering their sizzlers.

Ordered dinner from this place, which consisted of main courses like chicken fried rice and singoi chicken. The chicken fried rice was plain and simple,which is the way it actually should be according to me,I liked it very much. But the ultimate winner was the singoi chicken, the diced up poultry pieces were juicy and just melted in the mouth, with the fermented hoisin sauce giving a pungent taste,complimented really well with the fried rice. It was an awesome Chinese meal I had.<br/>

There was a time when Confucius used to be my favourite go-to Chinese place. Not just mine, but my entire family. The service, food, table decor have all degraded tremendously. <br/><br/>The last time I dropped in for dinner here with my family, the Manchow Soup came an hour late and was cold. The staff were not available and even when they heard us calling for them, they'd just ignore and continue to do their thing. It wasn't like they'd be busy serving others. They are just laid back.<br/><br/>Noodles and Chilli Paneer weren't good at all too. The manager was inefficient in solving our problems and honestly, didn't pay much heed to any of the customers.<br/><br/>Very disappointed!

Ruchira Baruah first introduced me to this place. We had pan fried noodles, crispy baby corn and one starter chicken item(forgot the name). I liked the dishes very much!! The crispy baby corn is delicious and till now I visited 3 times, and every time we ordered crispy baby corn. Service is very fast and the staff is very polite and helping. Will visit again and again.

This place had been our go to chinese restaurant since last 11 years! Yes, that long 🙂<br/>Love the starters there. Special mention to Conjee Crispy Chicken (not sure if it's on the menu but Maxwell Rodriguez has always arranged for it for us), Beijing Chicken(crispy and saucy), and Pan Fried Momos ( juicy and yummy). My personal favourite in the main course is Spicy Onion Coriander Rice and Kung Pao Chicken. In the dessert our entire family is fond of Darsan. In the mocktail section, I love Lover's Delight and Mango Cham.<br/><br/>But one drawback I have to mention is their unclean and smelly toilet. The hand towel dispenser was stuffed with newspapers at the time of my last visit. They should look into this urgently.

Both the buffet and à la carte are pretty reasonably priced which allows you to savour different items without burning a hole in the pocket. In short, a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family!

When Chinese food comes to my mind I just without a second thought choose 'Confucius'...my favourite is Shanghai gravy noodles, lat me Kai chicken, Sizzlers 😁 with my friends or family. Here you can find soup to rice, fish to prawn and ofcourse chicken is all time favourite!!! The sauce is too yummy especially for people with gourmet for Chinese and Thai food.... Very good starters. Authentic Chinese at an affordable price. I tried the chicken sizzlers and their cottage cheese starters. They are awesome. Also, the staff is very sincere and hospitable. Overall I would rate it three stars for all the pros. On the downside, however, the presentation needs perfection.

We had an impromptu plan all of sudden, so we thought of to drop in to this place, however it was in my wishlist. Ambience is well impressive and food was it over all good.

Visited this place today with mye friends and had a great time. Like the minimalistic ambience of the place. We ordered fried wanton for starter and for mains we had kung pao chicken and butter garlic rice. Service is very good here. Taste wise it was pretty good the wanton filling and the accompanied chutney is very good so thus the kung pao chicken. One of the worst service I have ever experienced. They don’t have the capacity to serve everyone they are currently entertaining. Whole floor is too under staffed, I had to wait 5 mins until a waiter would arrive. I received my starter 1 hour after I gave the order for it! They not even worth half the price they are charging. There are many more restaurants one can try instead of coming here.

This is quite an old and popular place. I have always liked the food served here be it on buffet or a la carté. Its ambience is also very good. They have very well managed to bring through the Chinese ambience. But the one thing which has always pissed me off is their service. Very poor service. Old and slow staff, not much friendly. Yet after everything the overall experience has always been good.

I visited this place during my stay in Guwahati. I'm not familiar with the area so can't really say much about where it's located, but it's somewhere on GS Road.<br/><br/>The restaurant is spacious enough to fit a large number of people and we visited in a big group for which they joined 2 tables together so visiting in a big group shouldn't be a problem. The place is dim lit and the overall ambience is something I really liked.<br/><br/>Coming to the food itself, I liked the quality of the food served. The Crispy Babycorn was a bit too salty for my taste. Usually they have a hint of sweetness that was completely missing from it, otherwise it was okay. The Chicken in Tobanjan Sauce was, like it was supposed to be, really spicy so if you like spicy food it's a must try, but otherwise better go with something else.<br/><br/>Here's a list of the items we ordered along with my personal recommendations -<br/><br/>BEVERAGE -<br/>1. Went to Confucius today after probably a decade. I won’t deny I had my doubts since it had been so long. They haven’t changed the interiors much. It’s still cozy and pretty. We ordered Thai fried chicken which was quite good. Only wish there was a sauce to go with it. We had also ordered the Prawn sizzler. Must say that the sizzler was amazing. The portions served for both the dishes were ample, which is always great. The service could be better. But all in all, had a happy experience. :)

Confucius serves authentic Chinese and Thai food whose ambience perfectly resembles the Chinese cultural; its vibrant red and golden color will surely catch your eyes. The food served here are flavourful and has large portions. The chicken sizzler i ordered was good and the quantity was enough for two to three people to share. But the place is slightly overpriced. Overall a great place for such cuisines.

The place serves some authentic chinese and thai cuisine. A lovely ambience radiating the aura of the Chinese culture in a vibrant way. The buffet is pocket friendly and comprises of a variety of items. The starters were worth it. A must visit. Anshumi Chowdhury

Confucius situated in Christian Basti, is a decent Chinese Restaurant. The service is good. The interior decor is good. The food is awesome. If you really want to try out good Chinese or Thai food, it is the place.

WORST. Service is very very bad..have to call them again and again. Their attitude shows "Children not allowed". Bad choice to take kids. Lots of mosquito.. Unbelievable loot.... a 200 ml real juice pouch is charged 75 rupees. Hospitality is too poor.. Food is not bad.

Late night run post shopping in Guwahati our tea vendor Jalan Tea ( by the way you do get the best tea there! ) suggested this place. Took the la ki mai chicken as appetisers and the Pad Thai! Not disappointed at all ... all though I took the food as take out and infact our entire Times team did and the verdict is awesome! They need to work on timing taken between order and food served! Visited this place with my colleagues and we ordered for buffet. We were served with chicken, french fries, fish as starters & both the items were good. But we needed to call the staff for refill whenever our plates went empty, which I was very surprised to see as the restaurant was not full. In the main course we were served with chicken, chowmein, veg manchurian, fish. The veg manchurian really needs to be improved. Again in the main course, I needed to wait for refill when the chafer dish got emptied. I waited for about 10 minutes, I also told the staff for refill twice. Finally the dessert came which we had & left the place.<br/><br/>Overall Rating:<br/><br/>Food quality:4 out of 5<br/>Staff service: 1 out of 5<br/><br/>Need to improve the service. Food quality & taste is good.The ambience is also good.

Food was good but the hospitality could have been better. We opted for a buffet and were disappointed that once a dish gets finished, it is not refilled again. The service can be better in terms of clean and hygiene washrooms and staff behavior. Oh !! oh.. Forgot to mention that there was no water in the washroom and on asking was given a bottle of water. Very disappointing.

Amazing food ! Been visiting the restaurant since my childhood. Definitely a recommend in Guwahati for Oriental food ! Must try Beijing chicken and chicken hakka noodles !

Marvelous in one word to define this place, Chinese and thai cuisine are a wonder here, the decor is so rich and ethnic, probably best in the city. Staffs are good. As per rates, the food is equally flavorsome. Definitely would love visit again.

"OH YEAH!" level food. Super delicious stuff. You'll get the most delicious chicken in town, at this place. Absolutely worth the price. Haven't tried the buffet, but I plan to. Also, the ambience is good. Ideal place for a good and hearty dinner with the entire family!

Confucius offers great Chinese food. As a vegetarian, it’s difficult to get your kind of food in a Chinese restaurant as there are more varieties of non vegetarian dishes; but I was glad to see that this place offers a wide range of options for vegetarians too.<br/>I ordered a cottage cheese platter and hakka noodles for myself while my friends ordered their dishes. The noodles were fine; nothing special, I would say. Just the kind of noodles served in any Chinese restaurant. But the cottage cheese platter was extremely delicious. It was soft and well cooked. Loved the way it was presented.<br/>This place has a wide variety of Chinese food to offer. My favourite Chinese restaurant currently. I just love the food and the soup is amazing, the best soup I have ever drank. It’s a perfect and affordable restaurant for all. Not just the food but also the environment is also amazing and we get the feeling of having dinner at China. Please do visit this awesome restaurant

Decent oriental food with generous quantities at a fair price. You may be slightly disappointed if you're looking for authentic Chinese. But again, there are very few eateries in India serving truly authentic Chinese. The ambience and decor is welcoming. Service, however has some room for improvement.

Was not able to try a complete meal,but was overwhelmed with whatever I had,they serve authentic Chinese, we had manchow soup and a spring roll kind of thing,both of were good, their food worth the every single penny they charge...

Visited for the second time last week. Ordered Chicken Manchow soup, Chilly Chicken dry and chicken fried rice. All food items were awesome. Place is quite clean and hygienic and polite waiters. Price is a bit on higher side but if you compare with fine dine restaurant standard, its worth.

I went there with my friend today and had a very<br/>,very satisfactory experience. We found everything perfect- the food, the staff and the ambience- EVERYTHING! We ordered lemon grass chicken for starters and schezwan chicken and chowmein for main course- and it was a total delight to our taste buds. Also,the staff was very very amiable and they took care of even our tiniest needs. Had a great time, it is pocketfriendly and also,a wonderful place to hangout with your friends and family. A big thumbs up to Confucius from my side and will love to visit it again!😊

Very similar taste flavor wise even though ordered different items. Ordered drinks at 9:00 pm but was denied because of their scarcity of drinks in the bar. Overall, the quantity was more than enough.<br/><br/>In the pic: 1.Thai fried rice, 2.Korean rice - was good 3. Mixed chilly garlic noodles - good amount of quantity.

Visited this place when I was literally craving for some Chinese food . And I wasn't disappointed ,to say the least ! They serve some real good Chinese food .Fine quality and adequate quantity . The ambience is warm and pleasant . Also ,they don't keep you waiting for long :)

Great ambience ruined by some noisy students. Had buffet for 3 people. Srarter includes fish chicken and vegetables which i found good. The main course lacks variety though. Better to have thai green curry and other thai main course than buffet.

Elegant. That's the word that comes to mind when you enter this place. Stylish interiors, beautiful ambience - provides an atmosphere of peace and quiet. Menu is perfect mix of Chinese and Thai. The food is nice - we had chicken sizzlers which was served steaming hot, just as we expected. Service is good though they definitely can do more to improve - especially they can work on cutting down the waiting time. That being said, I would definitely recommend trying out this place.
