Review Khushboo - Guwahati

Sahil Sewa
Regared as one of the OG resturants in Guwahati the place serves good food, it has many varieties of Indian food from dosa to chole bhature etc. I had dosa and pavbhaji and the dosa was really good but the pav bhaji felt a little to extract for my taste and it can be a personal preference but it was loaded with too much butter and I didn't like the bhaji as much but with the dosa I had no complaints. The decor is classic and the food didn't take much time to serve. You need to order and pay then they serve you food. Overall a good experience would definitely recommend a visit.

It was a good place to have food near the fancy bazaar market , The food was okay okay , Paper Masala Dosa must try , prices are reasonable, service was good , neat and clean tables , but there is a drawback they don't have a separate menu in each table , you have to stand and order your food by looking at the menu written on board . I guess they can provide a menu list in each table it becomes more convenient to order ! But overall a good place ! People were ordering Chole bhature too , you can try it out . Thank you 🙏

This is a purely vegetarian restaurant located on the M. S. Road in Fancy Bazar, the main commercial hub of Guwahati. Has bright interiors and serves Indian and a few International dishes. Ordered Chole Bhature. The chole was made of chick peas and came with onion salad and pickle. The food and the service turned out to be satisfactory. A good place for a quick bite while on a shopping spree in Fancy Bazar.

One of the oldest restaurants in Guwahati and yet this was my first time visiting it. I have heard about them several times and the awesome food they serve, and after today’s visit I was quite happy that all those were true. We got Chole Bhature and Dahi Vada, both were delectable. Special mention - the Bhature were divine. Need to visit it more often.

I am visiting this restaurant very nice and food is good & tasty all of you please visit and enjoy

The price is reasonable for each portion. Washroom is available as well. There's available space to dine in. The food tastes fine . Drinks are available. Overall a nice place to have your meal. Looking for a vegetarian place with reasonable price. Do go for it.

Khushboo offers you the best South Indian food in Guwahati. On my way back from kamakhya devi darshan, we had rawa masala dosa and chhole bhature there. It was so yummy. It has a neat ambience, warm hospitality and quick services. Don't miss it if you are in Guwahati. And Guwahati people, enjoy it as much as u can. 🙂👍

This place is connected with my childhood memories. Whenever I used to go to a fancy bazaar, it's a must to have something from here, specially Dosa❣️ Food is great! Decent quantity at a reasonable price!
Kalyan Lahkar
Food is great. We had the cheese masala dosa. It was quite filling for two persons. The quantity was ample and unlike many other places where they say cheese just for the sake of it, here the cheese was detectable in every bite. The place gets very busy during lunch hours which shows its popularity among the locals. The ambience is quite good with ample seating area. The menu is old school and written on a white board. Definitely recommend if you want to have dosas and are visiting around fancy bazar.

The restaurent is one of the oldest restaurents in Guwahati, serving good south Indian dishes along with North Indian dishes. Masala Dosa is one of its USP. We are having dosa here for over 2 decades now. Placed in the busiest location in Guwahati, travelling to the restaurent may be a bit time taking effort. Yes if you are visiting fancy bazar, then you must give it a try. The ambience and service is very good. Food taste has changed a bit over the years, but they have still mantained the quality...

The Well Know Dosa Specialist of Ghy..if ur a local u would probably know about it or had already..try...if u haven't yet what r u doing go & have some dosa vara or chhola bhatora etc etc we'll know time tested for quality & hygiene ...all the waiter used mask...it looked safe enough now...

This has been my favorite restaurant since childhood. Whenever I crave for South Indian dishes the only place I wanna be is here. I love dosa, chole bhature, idli. And the papri chat here is a must try. I just love their food.
Ruma Rulika Bhuyan
A very old and known place. You should go for South Indian dishes. The Masala Dosa and cheese Masala Dosa comes with 4 different chutneys. Worth the price.
Moon PR
Located adjacent to the walls of the old Guwahati Central jail in Fancy Bazar. You get one of the best dosas in this restaurant. Right from cheese, masala, pander, rava you get it all. Price is pocket friendly. They have upgraded the menu but not the decor. Please change the boring old decor we expect more cleanliness and style in the restaurant.
MANOJ DAS
One of the yummiest dosa you will ever taste in Guwahati. Must try their Rava Cheese Masala Dosa.
Shikha Das
I love their menu, I always end up having cheese masala dosa, highly recommended. All the dosa can serve 2 each plate.
Puravee Bordoloi
An old outlet in fancy bazaar area which is famous for dosas. Tried masala dosa after long and found the old taste is decreased these days. Coffee was also not good as well.

Whenever a restaurant comes up,no doubt they come up with a plan that enable them to earn profit. But here in KHUSHBOO it seems making profit is the only goal.
Pros : Quality and quantity of food is good.
Cons : • So much cramped for space that one get a feel of having food in a railway platform.
• The guests are asked to get the menu card for themselves and also place the order at the cash counter themselves..& You need to pay before you eat
• Masala Cold drink is a mix of water + cold drink which is terrible!
• Being in the business for so many years they should think about CUSTOMER SATISFACTION as well.
• Cost cutting at the cost of anything seems to be their moto.A restaurant that has been serving for more than 2 decades should be more focussed on upgrading their amenities and services!
• The have another floor where people can sit but they always mark that area as “CLOSED” because they simply do not have enough staff to serve upstairs...Forcing people to pay so much and eat in such a congested area surely isnt acceptable.
• Having 6/7 staffs(including cooks, waiters, manager) is bizarre for an old and popular outlet like Khushboo
Their Chair and Table is also pretty uncomforting!

It is only their decent quality & quantity of food that makes me give them a 3 star or else would have given a 2 star for their sitting arrangement and rules of paying before you eat!
Dipandita
Excellent place to eat dosa
Crispy masala dosa
I love South Indian food and it's something you can have anytime of the day..nice varieties dosas with the excellent taste of sambhad.i almost visited twice or more in a year but I never miss the khushboo's dosa.just yummy can't be compared to any other quality.must visit here if you love dosas and even if you don't.

My since childhood spot. The place I popped a bite of Dosa in my mouth for the first after my birth. Been their like 100 or more times since childhood. One of the best Dosa's in town till date and undefeated till now. And their Chole bhature damn they are also one of the best. One of the bestest in town veg spot. I can't say more. My rating says it all
5/5 rated.. highly Recommend 👍
Aradhanaadhikary143
Vey nice place for family and friends

Dosa is the best 👍💯

So tasty and different from any other restaurants in Guwahati

It's awesome.... Love to visit as soon as possible
Ankita Sarmah
In terms of Dosa i can say its world famous in Ghy. Undoubtedly the dosa is better than JB's. I have been eating here since my childhood. Same grt taste. Worth penny. Love ur dosas
Pragyamita Saha
A perfect place for a light and healthy food. The ambiance is good a total family restaurant. A perfect veg restaurant with a perfect table service. I would recommend every one to visist here once.
MoodyFoodieVipancy
I have seen Khusboo growing from a small outlet to an AC Restaurant. I have been here a lot of times since my childhood. I think I started my love for south Indian cuisine from here. Variety of Dosas, and other dishes, all reasonable and tasty. It's a decent place esp when u have hunger pangs while shopping in Fancy Bazar.
Bahnisikha Kashyap
I loved this place...it has various types of dosa and other south indian dish..price are good..foods are tasty..nice place...good embience....
Foodonfootghy
Amazing place to get really good South Indian food! It is a family restaurant with good air-conditioning. Quite packed throughout the entire day. Pocket friendly restaurant. The butter masala dosa is a must try!
Shreya Dutta - StarWords India
I am from Kolkata. Upon recommendation, we hopped in after a day of shopping and tried out their masala dosa at INR 120 each. The ambience is not worth mentioning but the dosa was great. It was crispy and the batter had proper flavour. The size was big enough to satisfy a person with good appetite. The sambar was thick and tasty. The coconut chutney was slightly bland but served at the right temperature. Overall, it was a good experience.

#starwordsindia #foodblogging #guwahati #southindianfood

As I was referred by a friend I went to the restaurant. We order paper masala dosa, butter paper masala dosa, medu vada. The food quality and quantity was good, dosa was crispy, and great in taste. Medu vada was little bit down. Should have been more soft it was little hard and crispy. The restaurant should work on front desk and service section it is little uncomfortable to stand and wait for collecting the coupon. Order should be taken in table. Other wise the dosa rocks. Price point of view it is little costly medu vada cost was -100 for 2 pic and dosa was approx -150.
Panchi
One of the bestest South Indian snacking restaurants in the city. Whenever I visit I end up ordering nothing but butter masala dosa. They maintain quantity and quality of the food. Friendly and polite staff. Best wishes!
Akshay Jain
I came to Khushboo after long time...this restaurant was my childhood restaurant....i used to come to this restaurant with grandfather....im feeling so nostalgic....pav bhaaji was awesome.except papri chat.papri chat was horrible.
Zerifa Ahsan
The food is good but the manager is very rude he doesn't know how to talk. My friend was late and the manager was forcing me to change my seat. I am paying for my food so he has no right to change my seat when I am midway of my eating
Dibyanshi Agarwal
One of the best place in town which holds a very special place in my heart!!This place is known for it's South Indian cuisine. They serves variety of idlis and dosa. Here, one of my favorite is Rava Cheese Masala Dosa!!
And is located at the heart of Fancy Bazar and is crowded with people as it serves the best of food.It serves dosa, idli and other vegetarian food. And is a must visit place in town!!!
Santosh Bardia
This place is all about South Indian dishes. They serve some of the best dosas in the city. Do try out their massala dosa, and avoid going during afternoon time, go for an afternoon snack that time its the least crowded.
Raj Medhi
I think its everyones favourite for some lip smacking dosa , the smell itself make you hungry and makes your appetite increase, its the place to be for a quick bite, lott of young crowd as well as middle aged, parking is disappointing so make sure you are on your foot to the restaurant.. Overall worth a try!!!
Ankita
This place is great. We ordered chole bhature and masala dosa. Both were just great. This is probably the best place to have these items in Guwahati. Service is also great.
Priyanka Maheshwari
The oldest dosa outlet probably. Basic in interiors. Serves amaxing dosas. Will be full almost all days of the week. Little less on sunday. As mostly viaited by shopping crowd who have their meals there
Abhay Singh Deewana Deewana
bahut accha khana Milta hai aap and my girlfriend name is also Kushboo isliye usko bahut Pasand Karte Hain Hotel ko aur Vastava khana bahut accha Milta Hai I love you Khushbu
Shivani Goyal
This is one of the oldest Dosa serving places in town! I feel with time the taste is not that great but still it’s amazing! You must surely try the food at Khushboo and judge yourself. A pure vegetarian restaurant situated at Fancy Bazar where you can have a heart ful meal after a full day of shopping at very reasonable price.
Amit Golchha
Dosas.......this place is seriously heaven for cosa lovers.....been visiting this place since 15+ years..same taste.. Good going

Located perfectly near fancy bazar..foodies n shoppers paradise.
Vivek Khetawat
A heaven for Dosa Lover's, I must say! The best Dosa I had in town till date. Ordered Rawa Masala Dosa there, the taste was superb. Sambhar, Chatni everything was perfectly made. Kudos to Khushboo for serving the best Dosa's in town.
Apeksha Saikia
This is one of the best outlet in the city if you are looking for South Indian cuisine, especially dosa. They have got varieties in their dosas starting from the usual plain and masala dosa to rava, paneer, cheese masala dosa to name a few.
One thing that I personally like is, you order the food at the counter, pay and get a coupon, hand it over to the waiter and you'll be served at your table plus they serve you with additional chutney and sambar everytime they see your bowls empty (without additional charges to it).
The ambience is average and the place is mostly crowded and quite noisy. Parking will be a trouble (even nearby). Excellent food with a good staff.
SushnAta Goswami
Have been there quite a times. This used to be my favourite outlet of dosa. But now the quality has been degraded. They don't serve coconut chutney instead they serve the sattu guri chutney. They really need to gear up.
Pinak Sarmah
Worst worst ..the taste degraded ...very unhygienic I can't describe the condition of the washroom that was open for use..will not visit anymore
Adrija Shandilya
I went there with my family last weekend. We ordered cheese pav bhaji, plain dosa and cheese masala dosa and it was worth every rupee we paid. The cheese masala dosa was awesome! And one cheese masala dosa is enough for two people. The pav bhaji was really good too! And I saw a cheese burst dosa on the menu. Dying to try it.
Antara Chakrabarty
Considering Khushboo being an old famous vegetarian restaurant in Fancy Bazar, the taste of the food items doesn't quite reach the hype. We ordered Chowmein with manchurian gravy and fried rice. They took 30min for deliver the noodles. And exactly 1 hour to serve the rice. Despite repeated reminders to the waiters, they didn't bother to care. Since it is a prepaid system, we couldn't walk out. Even the quality of the good was average. I suggest, if the restro is known for its South Indian dishes, they should just cut down on their Chinese items coz it tasted average.
Nayanjyoti Sonowal
we ordered chow and fried rice, quantity was so low we thought there is a scarcity of food items in that restaurant. I suggest never to go there, wastage of money. Dosa is also not worthy, don't be misled by others commenting here. I recently found the restaurant staff itself reviewing their own restaurant
Susmita Dutta
Last Wednesday i went there with my family for dinner..
We ordered 1 Plain Dosa, 1 Masala Dosa, 1 Cheese Masala Dosa, 1 Paneer Chowmin, 1 Chola Batora, and 1 Utapam..

I have visited the place many times and i love the food a lot.
Best South Indian Food ❤
Unush Khan
Good place to go with your family if you are craving for some South Indian dishes specially dosas. The coffee is also great there. Moreover the staff members were very polite and friendly.
Arishma Medhi
A very place in guwahati for vegetarians . Always crowded. But must say there dosa is really tasty and famous in guwahati. Pricing is fine but serving takes a lot of time , specially during the noon time . The staffs of this place needs more grooming .
Ria Nag
1 of da best dahi vada I ate in ghy.. so juicy full of curd n chutney..yummy!!! Interior as usual dey hd since my childhood😂 Price is reasonable wd gud quantity.. gud service wd well behavd staffs..
Chandramita
Whenever i visit this place opt for pav bhaji.
Their pav bhaji is really tasty. They offer three different types of pav bhaji and all of them are really good. Apart from that i have tried their idli, chola bhature, rava dosa, masala dosa, fried rice, papri chat and manchurian.
However i was not satisfied with the idli.
Overall this is a great place, cool interior, staff members are good.
Archit Todi
One of the best hotel as value for Money. Interior was not too good as the hotel was built many years back but u will feel peace. Specially for South Indian Food and pocket friendly too.
Kangkan Talukdar
Located amidst fancy baazar. This is a well known restaurant especially for the vegetarians. I tried the masala onion dosa and chowmein. The dosa was good. Overall it's a nice place to go if you are in fancy baazar. The staff is friendly and service is prompt. Definitely recommend.
Anurag
A place with some outstanding variety of veg food which will leave no patron unsatisfied. They serve over 10 types of Idlis and Dosas. Do try the Cheese Idli and The Tricolor Dosa.
Himakshi Bagaria
Do you know of a place which has great food? And simple interiors or cutlery don't bother you?

Khushboo is a simple, decent, casual place to eat away once you are tired or hungry after shopping in the local market.

Everything here, ranging from Dosa, Idli, Chola Bhatura, Hakka Noodles to even the Pizza, is so delicious. I love the food here.

They serve as if you were sitting and eating in a mess but who cares when your Dosa tastes so good. Right?
My Food Experiment
Famous for dosas, this restaurant is working since a very long time. The ambience is not so good as it is a very old place. I have visited this place many times. Earlier the food quality was awesome. Rawa dosa was my favorite and it was delicious, like one of the best! However with time the quality deteriorated! One thing to be appreciated is the prices! Affordable and cheap!
Deval Dubey
A south india joint in fancy bazar located on a very busy street!
Ambience: 3/5 .. its a busy rest. Come sit eat and go.. they eerr renovating on the 2nd floor.
Service : 4/5 quick fast they serve sambhar and chutney
round the clock..
Food: pure veg, good, the rawa cheese masala dosa was so filling and so cheesey.. plus the masala was delicious .. though the sambhar was cold but still chutney was good. They serve drinks on mrp like lassi chach and coldrinks
Totally pocket friendly!!
Sunayana Sen
I love the masala dosa and chole bhature of this place.
They have their own style of making the masala dosa and thats what I love about them.

The service is a bit slow, coz' the place remains crowded most of the times.
Ritanjali Krishnatraya
A place in fancy gate no.4
Best in dosa...other food item also available...
Student's frndly..dont need to cut pockets to have food here.....
Rituporno Dutta
This is a veg restaurant and famous for its dosas. I love dosas, so I went to have dosa here. They burned my dosa and the worst part is they served the burned dosa! I can understand that you might have burned the food by accident but how can you serve it to the customer who is paying for it. Yes I paid for it and even ate half of it! Not going back there again and definitely don't recommend the dosa here!
Ashish Poddar
Looking for the best dosas in town? Then this is the place to be. The food here is cheap and exhilaratingly delicious. The best thing you can eat here is definitely the rava cheese masala dosa.
Shakeel Hussain
I lived in fancy bazar and i had dosa many times but from only 1 place its khusboo . Amazing masala dosa and i recommended my many friends go to khushboo n have masala dosa once and you will remember for life time ...
Tonmoyee Borthakur
Great food !! I love cheese masala dosa which i rarely get perfectly made , but here it was amazing and filling. The quantity is true to price. And also it's not expensive . But I hope they can lighten up the ambience a bit
Deepan Chopra
So while you are in Guwahati you are bound to visit the fancy bazaar as it is one of the biggest wholesale and retail market of Assam, and here one place which is extremely popular for dosas is Khushboo.

The moment you enter you wont get a very lavish feel as the interiors are pretty simple and old style yet u will have to search the entire restaurant for a table as it is jam packed at any given time of the day. They do not promote themselves as a fine dine place but are perfect for what they are known for.

Coming to the most important part "FOOD" well the menu is every bit interesting with dosas like rava cheese masala, chilly paneer, Manchurian and butter masala dosas. You are bound to get confused with such a wide array of dosas but I went ahead with their specialities and ordered for a rava Cheese masala dosa and onion butter masala dosa along with butter pao bhaji. The order took longer than I expected but the wait was worth as the dosa was crisp and buttery while the rava cheese dosa had a nice flavour of melted cheese, the masala stuffing was also different and unlike regular dosa filings, the only disappointment here was the sambhar which was not upto the mark in terms of flavour, the Pao bhaji however was excellent and infact won't be wrong to say that was slightly better than the dosa.

Overall my experience at much popular Khushboo was decent, the interiors and service can be worked on but still food will win you over for sure.
Banajit Bharali
This place is one of my favourite when it comes to south Indian cuisine. They serve the perfectly cooked dosas in the city. The ambience is in hustle and the food comes in no time. So a perfect place to try the veg delicacies.
Twahir Alam
One of the oldest joints in the area which is still operational and is still quite popular. It serves a wide menu and would definetly recommend the dosa which is served there.
Sk Shahnawaz Alam
The dosa.Whenever i been to khusboo the only thing comes in mind is Dosa. Yes they make delicious dosa. And the varieties of dosa they have you won’t find this much varieties of dosa in guwahati
Narjiss Hussain
It's my all time favorite place for restaurant located at the heart of fancy bazaar! It's dosa is bliss :') the service and decor is also amazing.
Ishan Das
One of best places if you want to taste a good quality dosa. Love the place, tasty food, prompt service. Am waiting for a chance for my next visit. Just love the place n the food. Must visit for everybody in town.
Navoday Das
This place holds a special place for me coz as a kid, this was the place I used to go for dosas, and they had some great dosas I must say... This place was always jam packed in the evening, people eating here during their fancy bazar visits, and I don't think many people went back unsatisfied...
Anindya Bikas Dutta
So much for the famous Khushboo!
I headed here with my friends a few weeks back. We ordered Paw Bhaji and Cholla Bhatura. I had never had such a bad meal in my life. The Bhaji and Cholla had the same taste and texture, I don't understand how. The quantity of Paw and Puris does not at all match the price set. We then had Coffee and it was pure yuck, could not even finish it.
I will not say much, visit at your own risk.
Chiraag Ladsaria
Have been visiting this restaurant since long back. I was very disappointed by the service which we received by the restaurant today. It took them very long time to serve the order that have been placed.
Indrani Das
Simple & Satisfactory.
The chole are the best. You have to be careful while choosing the dosa. Pav bhaji is delicious too for people who like mild spice.
Hrishiraj Talukdar
Visited this place few days back, parking is a big big issue if you dont get parking near the jail road. Lets move towards the Ambiance. Interiors are average, service is fast. First you might have to take a token from the counter and then present the bill to the waiter.
A wide variety of dosas are available, the dosa lovers must visit this place once. Must try dosa in this place if you in Guwahati.
Shreya Manna
This is the first time I am visiting the place. The outlook of the restaurant is not very impressive. But as they say " Don't judge a book by its cover. " The food we had there were scrumptious. We had rawa masala dosa and chola batura. This place is mainly famous for its south Indian cuisine. So dosa was good. But chola batura was finger licking. That was one of the best batura I ever had. The price was also economical. Totally satisfying...
Rija
I ordered papdi chaat which was for 70rs. It had only few pieces of papdi, (unfresh) curd and a very little amount of tamarind chutney. It was the worst papdi chat I have ever had in my life. Even the street shops make far better than this one that too for 30rs. I wasted 70rs and 45mins in this restaurant.
Nishant Barua
Best place for dosas. Huge is size, this place has been around for long. Only drawback is the location, being smacked right in the middle of Fancy Bazar. Decent place for South Indian fare
Monami Bhuyan
This place is probably more famous for their dosas than for anything else. Now I'm not a big dosa fan, so I perhaps might not be the best person to review this. Besides I am yet to find a place which makes me forgo my lukewarm enthusiasm for dosas and make me love them!
Rest assured, their dosas are properly cooked(they have several options for fillings and texture of the actual dosa), and are served with all you can eat sambar and chutney. To my disappointment though, their sambars don't seem to be freshly made most of the time, and aren't warmed enough. Their chutney lacks a punch!
But if you are really into South Indian food, then you should totally check this joint out! Cheers!
Kaushal Kashliwal
So its like im eating after 10 months here in this restaurant..which is known to be the best in guwahati fir its south indian.
Me and my friends ordered:-

Plain dosa, masala dosa and rawa masala dosa.
( they have changed their layout of their menu plus the service and watters also) now its very systematic and fast service.

The only problem was the spice and salt added to it was very less which made the taste different.
They have changed their chutney also.
Must try!

Food quality - 4/5 ( salt and spice problem)
Service - 4/5
Enviroment - 4/5
Rates -3.5 /5 ( increased )
Syeda Tanjim Farnaz
I've been visiting this place since childhood. A great place with basic interior and is almost always overcrowded. Service is good enough. Reasonable price.
Dosas are the best here.
Cheese masala dosa and papri chaat are all time favourite amongst many.
Pragya Deb
Looking for a place to film your bellies with good food while in fact bazaar..this place is the ultimate rescue centre. With the amazing rawa cheese dosa that has the best cheese layering and the lip smacking pav bhaji..this place will get you at the first visit itself. Kunal Deka
Rajat Harlalka
One of the best places in Guwahati if you want to have South Indian Food at a reasonable price. The highlight of the restaurant is the various types of Dosa served here. A must try for every Dosa lover.
Hemlata Hajong
This place was regular for us when JB's had not opened. The place is situated in a very dirty area but they serve amazing dosa. They put beet root in the masala which i doubt anybody else does. The place is affordable as well
Sanchita
This restaurant holds a very special place is my heart. I've been visiting this restaurant since childhood. This restaurant is favourite amongst many.
Although its interiors are very basic, it is divided into two floors but this restaurant is always crowded. Their service is quite prompt and their staffs are very courteous.
Their food is awesome. It is best known for its South Indian cuisine. But they serve the others equally well.
This restaurant never disappoints you with its food. :)
Amit Agarwal
Almost all my childhood have been defaulted to this place. Although I live a thousand mile away, something prompted me to search it out here.
Still lingered by the taste of chole bhatura the dosas and those idli. Hopefully the same quality is still maintained.
Ritancia
We had no option for breakfast then we finally came across this place, the service was quick and the food was good for the price.
Masala dosa and paper dosa - huge, crispy but a little too oily.

The seating was conjusted and dim light.. I think they should work more on the hygiene part and seating.

:)
Krishanoo Kr. Bhattacharyya
Probably one of the oldest south Indian restaurants in guwahat. A great place. If you are a dosa lover. The cheese and butter masala dosa is delicious (as always) served with the customary sambar and coconut chutney
Atlanta Talukdar
Though it is one of the oldest south Indian speciality restaurants, the quality of the items have not remained the same like before. Behaviour of the staffs are not that cordial.
Ayush Sarma
One of the best restaurant for south indian dishes. Whenever I visit here I always used to eat dosa. According to if you want to eat dosa visit here.
Prasanna Baruah
One of the oldest south Indian restaurants in guwahati (probably the oldest) and its hard to discount the fact that they still serve some cracking dosas...
The place has its own charm because the decor and menu has remained unchanged since the time of its inception..now coming to the most important thing the food...whenever I visit I order for the cheese masala dosa and the uttapams...the dosa is delicious (as always) served with the customary sambar and coconut chutney and filled with cheese enough to satisfy any pallet... Secondly the onion butter uttapam is another star on the menu...
My only complaint lies with the waiters...Sometimes one literally has to shout out in order to get their attention (hence the 4 upon 5)
Pooja Mordani
We have this thing in our family: For South Indian Food at a Resturant the only name that comes to all of our minds is Khushboo. The place is located in Fancy Bazar and that's a plus point for it. The menu is reasonable and the food good. It is well known for its South Indian offerings but the other menu items are fine too. During lunch hours you have to wait for a while to find a place :) The staff is fast and you can place your orders at the cash counter yourself. They even offer extra helpings of sambar and chutney which again is a win strategy. Khushboo proves the saying right : Old is Gold. The cons are that it has no parking space and the menu limited for North Indian Foodies.
Arpita Choudhury
Great place. If you are a dosa lover, this is the place to go. The dosas are huge. Very tasty too. Tried the cheese masala dosa. The best I have ever had. A must visit.
The Guwahati Foodie
This is probably the oldest place in Guwahati to serve South Indian Dosa. The Menu offers a very limited option to choose from, which I believe has not changed since I last visited the place years back.
Old Ambience, parking issue.🚧🚦
Was disappointed with their Old Token system 🛃 which still exists.
Also, to mention no Coffee available to compliment Dosa. ( Coffee is in Menu ) Lol🤔😀
However, their Dosa's are good.
Cheap Rs.100-150 per person.
Good place to Hop at Fancy Bazaar while on a shopping spree..
Do like and comment #stayhappy ☺😊☺

Kapil Goyal
The amount of South-Indian food I have eaten here is beyond numbers. Maybe because it was one of first place to serve decent southern food at a reasonable price. But with time this place turned itself to a decent looking restaurant. Now it's always crowded, quality has also deteriorate, service not upto the mark & price has also increased. So, for me this place is off the hook.
Alif Ahmed
One of the first South Indian restaurants of the city. The place is almost always crowded. Though the food is good the service is poor. But still the name Khusboo itself draws new and old customers alike from far and near. The best item on the menu hands down is the Rawa Cheese Masala Dosa.
Ahmed Nafis

I've tried the Chole Bhatura, dosa and pav bhaji in this place . The first time I went Dosa was excellent. I would have rated 5 on that account but my last visit to this place wasn't much satisfying. I felt the quality of the dosa had degraded a bit and found the place little un hygienic. The chole and pav bhaji was however good . I hope they have kept the place maintained now.

Was one of my favourite restaurent and the quality of the food have been going down day by day. Once the dosa used to be the best dosa in the whole city but now the quality of sambar and chutney is just disgusting .

Khushboo is located in Fancy bazaar in the jail road. This place is almost always crowded, as it is situated in a busy area. I have been a fan of their dosas since childhood. Butter masala dosa is my favourite. They also serve good pav bhaji. The idli is not that good, could have been softer. The service is good. They don't take more than 10 mins to serve. You can visit them for their dosa, when in Fancy bazaar.

Khushboo Fancy Bazar and it's Dosa's ❤️ May be the oldest in the city serving you South Indian from long passer back years . It's a small place at the heart of fancy bazar. I still remember my childhood days whenever we went for shopping at fancy bazar while returning we would end up at Khusboo ...
Quality is not maintained so well .. It was much better before ..
But you get a variety of South Indian food .. Butter Masala Dosa is a must try .. It's basically crowded everytime ..
Overall it's a okay place and the service is really poor .. Quality of food is Okay !

Went to this place once during The Durga Puja celebrations; it was crowded as hell. After waiting for a short time we could get in. While catering to a crowd that large, the service tends to be clumsy and food quality gets compromised; so u can't really point a finger.
But, on a regular day the story's different.
Went recently again and found that it did not really quite stand up to the amount of hype that exists around it (and there IS a hype about this place)
Interiors are fine, AC works and all, chairs are comfortable; service is on the slower side and lets u wonder how long the food's gonna take after u've got d token; and the food is actually... really OK. I mean its Dosa and Uttapams specialty place (they have a range of options for both) - and you might have had much better in street stalls elsewhere! But again, everyone has a different palate so its really an individual choice.
I personally, did not find it worth revisiting. But for the fans of this place, it's a joy, I have seen.. so happy food to you :)
Ratings - Food only
